The Jedi are flawed. Obi-Wan has an entire movie when he's 25 where he's a snarky asshole sometimes, he hurts his friends sometimes. Qui-Gon is hypocritical in that he says, oh, I don't presume anything when he very much is presuming things and also treats his current Padawan roughly in favor of a new one. Jocasta is a little full of herself and her archive. Ahsoka takes 30+ years to get her shit together about what Anakin did, she routinely snaps at people for things that aren't their fault. Mace has a tense day and is brusque about it. Shaak doesn't immediately believe Fives. Kit can't get through to Nahdar about how he's handling the war. These are all flaws! They come from incredibly sympathetic places and I bet half of you are thinking of reasons why these actions aren't so bad, hell I've written essays in the past about why these are sympathetic places to be coming from, that it's entirely understandable why they act why they do! That's not the point I'm making here. The point is: they're still flaws and they make for more interesting characters, but that I don't believe they should be condemned for them. So many times "flawed" is meant as the same thing as "so we must think they're corrupt, arrogant people who everyone should be shaking their finger at" (often with a side bonus of "and that's why they fell" as if you can separate out that Sidious was going for genocide from the beginning, as if that wasn't always the shape of the story we're seeing). So many times, "You just can't admit your faves are flawed." When, no, I think the Jedi are flawed like I think Luke is flawed, like Leia is flawed, like Han is flawed, like Padme is flawed, like Bail is flawed. They all get to make mistakes, to miss things, to stumble, to have a frustrating day, to snap at someone out of turn, etc. I just don't think those flaws are worthy of condemnation and I don't think the Jedi's flaws are worthy of condemnation either.

I am not going to answer this ask, more so because I know how you will be literally crucified in the comments not only for the utter nonsense you are spewing but the way you are doing so.

I will address a couple of things you are saying though. Because seriously dude, I'm in utter shock as to how you are actually able to come up with this stuff.

You believe MHJ? Really?

You tell me that because she created NJ then her saying that Illit are copying her then that's it? It must be true? She also said that BTS copied her concepts in the past, that true too? You are aware of the fact that she is all about the visuals and has nothing to do with the music part of things, right? Just checking.

And in the same breath you are also full on acknowledging that she was the one behind the BTS leaks, including the damaging leak of JM's private info.

So, let me get this straight, you have no issue in believing a person that is untrustworthy and moved to hurt your fave, as long as it suits your current agenda? Seriously? I kind of think that once untrustworthy always untrustworthy. Or in your world is it once untrustworthy sometimes trust worthy as long as what's coming out of their mouth is what I want to hear?

Btw, you most definitley showed your true colours with the whole "JK's fling" idiocy. Prey tell me what does it say about JM, or more so, what does it say about what you think about JM if he sticks by JK's side while JK, in your warped mind, is an untrustworthy copy cat cheater? You must think so highly of JM for sticking by JK's side when JK treats him like shit (according to your warped views).

And let me make my views clear as day here. JK did not copy JM nor is JK an asshole cheater that can't keep his dick to himself. Balloon busted for you, I guess.

And yes, we are both BTS fans (or are we? cause you seem to be a solo stan and not a fan of BTS the band and all it's members), but clearly you lack the basic emotional intelligence that someone who is mature enough and with some life and long term relationship experience has. Either you are very young and inexperienced or for some reason lack that healthy relationship experience. Because thinking so low of JK and yet believing at the same time that JM would stick around someone like that, yeah, there is something lacking in your life experience. Maybe no experience, maybe bad experience, maybe too much Kdrama watching experience. Whichever it is, please, do not try and compare us.

There is NO comparison.

You say that you don't view JM as a damsel in distress, that he is a strong person, stronger than JK seeing how well he did in the army. Let me start by saying what a load of bull (not the him being strong part, but the part where you claim you aren't out to 'save' him). He's strong when it suits you, which is when you want to prove he's better than JK and/or the others (I'll get into how disgusting and disrespectful that comparison you are making is in a second). But at the same time he, supposedly in your fantasy world, allows JK and the company to step all over him, to copy his ideas and creativity and to scorn him and mess around with others, and continues to play along with their game, of showing up for JK, going on trips with him, enlisting with him even after he's supposedly, again, been mistreated, disrespected, cheated on. I would kind of suggest that you make up your mind which is it?

As for this constant comparison with the others when it comes to their army service, I've been vocal about this in the past and I will say it again. It sickens me how disrespectful you are towards not only the other BTS members, each and every one of them doing their utmost best within their army placement, but it's disrespectful towards every single other SK young man that is doing their compulsory military service. How easy it is sitting on your comfy chair in the safety of your own home or wherever it is you are sitting, which isn't an actual war zone, behind your screen and keyboard, grading these young men that have left their lives behind for 18 months to enlist into active duty in a military that is at war with another country. Please have more respect not only for every single one of the members (each serving at their utmost best within their assigned duties) but also for all the other young men that are doing just the same. JM is amazing, he's assigned duties are utilizing his high level of intelligence and mathematical abilities. Kudos to him for excelling at it. But why is it so hard for you to say that and at the same time say the same about each and every other member? Why is there this need not only to uplift one, but to do so at the expense of the other, diminishing what the other is doing? This whole attitude is just so childish and stupid. And you know what? Like I said, it's disrespectful not only to the other members and to every single other soldier, but also to JM, who doesn't need to bring down the others to show just how amazing he is.

This is it. Let me make this as clear as day that even if I end my sentences with a question mark, it's a rhetorical question and not an invitation for your response. I will not reply to any more asks you might throw my way. Obviously you are intrenched in your ideas and opinions, as warped and unhealthy as they may be.

Good luck trying to save JM from the one person he is showing us all that he wants to spend every second, every minute, every hour with.

And good luck with it all when Jikook Karma strikes, cause it's coming and it's coming strong, and when it does come well, all those that lack the respect to either JK or JM, those who are willfully closing their eyes and ears to what they have been showing and telling us for years now...

...the day is coming when it can no longer be ignored.

aaaaaa can i make the several honorable mentions of the fics that made me scream and roll on the floor?????? pretty please???

scheherazade was one of the first jonmichael fics that i found while going through all of the cher's works because, evidently, they have no fics that are not worth reading!! (i'm sorry if and forty feet down only confirming it!!!)

sleep inertia has one of the best dialogues i ever read!!! the way cruelzy writes michael's lines??? aaaaaaaaa its so delicious and believable and never for a second i thought i'm reading something out of canon?? its just that good.

carousel is the only one fic (from what i found) that i set in the last season and its adds a lot of layers to that big jonmichael onion that torments my eyes for a while now ldkfjgkdfjg also it's messy?? i mean the whole situation in the fic?? its so humanly complicated and it does not gives you the chance to experience any of the feelings clearly and i love it!! screechfox somehow captured all of the complicated stuff in one fic, blendered it together and for the whole time i just couldn't take my eyes away from it.

five times michael saves jon's life and one time he doesn't have to - is here to sooth our pain and heal our wounds. i reread it so many times!! the dynamic between jon and michael in it is one to live for!!! sometimes you think 5+1 kind of fics can't surprise you anymore and then the coolest author like paisleycowboys enters the room and proves you wrong.

to be like super honest, the 100 ways to say i love you series, when i first saw it, made me think im not gonna like it? i love my fanfics long and scary and bittersweet and with a bad-very-not-good-endings, so the title of this one made me go "hmmmmm HMMMMM hmmmmm hmmmm?" but ive started to read it anyway, theres not that many fics on the ao3 for jonmichael, we cant afford to be capricious and gosh GOSH i was so fucking wrong!!! its sweet AND sad AND scary AND awkward (in a best way!!!) AND it made me giggle so many times!!! NeedsCaffeineRightNow can make even the edgiest of us enjoy the soft kinds of fics (its not hard when they are written with so much care and love.)

POSSESSIVE!! MICHAEL!! COMBING!!! JON'S!! HAIR!!!!!! what else do we need from life?

transition, every time i reread it or think about it, makes me painfully aware of how many things should coincide for something to work. it's not one of those fics that completely encompass you; nor its the one that leaves you with new headcanons or in a good mood, no, i think it's the one that leaves you in dissoray, making you want to argue with author, to ask them what were they thinking about, pointing on your weak sides like this?, giving you something precious and then stealing it away? pushing your old bruises? that is to say, i have nothing but deep respect for indefensibleselfindulgence. to write fic that makes you want to engage in conversation? thats powerful

Our 'Angel' of Static and Bone is written so inexplicably good, that more than once i wondered, how NeverwinterThistle was able to do it? and then i realised they are one of my fave bg3 and dishonored authors phpphp but really, the care, the effort that went into this fic? they are literally visible! you can feel the amount of time and brain juice that went into writing it. and the neighbor character? they appeared like two times?? and still their addition left me speechless with how clever it is, how different!! absolutely amazing work.

adjective noun has jonmichael chapter (11) that destroyed me as a person i swear i laughed so hard i dropped my phone and just kept giggling face-into-the-pillow style!!!!!! its rare for the fics to bring you this childish kind of pure joy; the little in-between moment of forgetting about everything, good and bad, and just have a good time. this chapter is definitely one of those rare things and it also made me wish there would be more jonmichael fics from cuttoth. somehow they nailed everything that should be nailed about this ship and did it in a couple of pages, what a magical work!!

and well, now here's my fave fic, the one that took my head, shaked it like it's a soda can, and then left it open, fountaining at first and then dented and empty.

I ask for nothing, but maybe I'm lying is the work that made me grateful for the fact that i know how to read in english. its....mmmm, you know that feeling when fic makes you go through literally everything? and then, as a bonus, through all stages of grief as well?

first you get hooked up by the beautiful writing style and so you know the fic is gonna be good and you get comfortable and you turn yourself off from the rest of the world and you read.

you love pov, you love mood shifts, you love pacing, you love when scenes are short and you pause to think about what happened / you love when scenes are long and you get overloaded with the simple things that make you feel complicated emotions, you love it all.

then you start to wish it would never finish; you look at the scrolling bar from time to time, a little bit too aware of how much there's left to read, a little bit too anxious about it. and at the same time, the fic starts to make you feel safe, confident, that at least it's gonna be alright, its gonna be that one work that will replace the canon events for you. it was the

“Oh. Oh, Archivist, no. That’s not right at all,” you say to yourself as you watch him march into artefact storage, both hands clamped around an axe.

On a whim, you decide to save him."

and then you get to the ending and you just stare at the screen. that hollowing feeling slowly spreading inside you. *sigh* its the best sort of inspiration im sure, but its the worse one too. i have no idea how possessedradios and authors like them are able to write something that kills you, then reanimates you and then makes you sit in front of the tablet drawing hours non stop. ''I ask for nothing, but maybe I'm lying" is so beautiful its scares and fascinates me, just like the podcast did. hell, better then the podcast did. i know its silly but i even named my fisrt fanart of michael as the title of the fic 👉👈

ahhhh SO i rumbled again SORRY!!!!!!! every time someone asks something from me its either "i'll reply later" (replies 10 years after) or "tolstoy, hold my fucking beer". but i really hope that fic writers, not only those who are mentioned here but like in general? know how much they affect other people!! how their work creates safe spaces for others!! how they make readers smile or cry, even if those readers (im not pointing finger on myself idk what you talking about pgphpphph) are little gremlins that leaving comments once in a decade....................

I would like to say I've slowed down a bit on BATFAMILY fic over the last month, but that's kind of a lie because fandom has put out some absolute banger longer fics and I've been reading a lot of comics (can you believe how many comics I've been enjoying?? "Sensei, are you here?"

You knocked at the door of his art room with your chest pounding. Bringing the art materials back to his art room isn't something that you always do. It's Zenitsu's usual task as he is the Art Club president, but he's absent, so you have no choice. It's not that you didn't like it; it's just that Tengen is crazy.

He's the kind of professor whose mood changes a lot. Oh well, he says he needs that to make his art flashier. And that's not it...

He was one of your junior high teachers before he disappeared, and now he's here at your university as your art professor. But as far as you know, he isn't aware of that. Of course, he had taught so many students.

No words came from inside the room, so you opened the door and were flabbergasted with what you saw.

Nope, not the one you're thinking about right now.

Tengen was there, sitting in his chair with his eyes focused on what he was painting. There and then, you felt your cheeks grow hot, even if his room was very cold. He still hadn't noticed your presence, so you remained in your position, watching how elegantly his hand moved while painting.

You were shocked to notice that your heartbeat had accelerated. All your life, you had just seen Tengen as an art teacher; that's it. But he aged like fine wine, and now you felt yourself being drawn more to him.

But you can't just stare at him all day; you still need to head home. You believe that almost all of your classmates are at home right now, sipping tea or doing their homework. You need to rest too.

So, you cleared your throat, and that made Tengen look up, meeting your eyes.

"Sensei, I just came here to bring this back. Agatsuma-san's not around. No worries; I checked everything, and it's all complete."

"Uh, okay." He said this, standing from his seat to stretch his back. Gosh, he's tall, and that made you realise how small you are. You placed the box on his other table and were about to go when he spoke up.

"You've really changed a lot, Y/L/N-chan."

You looked back at him and saw him beside you this time. Tengen surely moves faster than you can imagine. You were surprised to know that he still remembers. You gulped and stood straight, facing him.

"Hmm, as far as I can remember, you were at this height before." He said, pointing at his elbows. You frowned and crossed your arms at him. "No, I'm not!"

"And still as hot-headed as always!"

You rolled your eyes and were about to go when he suddenly handed you a paintbrush. "I hope you still paint like before, though. I would love to see your flashy creations again!" He said it with a smile that completely erased the annoyance that you felt because of his teasing.

"Thank you, sensei!" You bowed and ran out of his art room, making sure that he wouldn't see how red you were right now.

He remembers. You were his favourite student back then, so of course he will.

A few days passed, and all you could think of was Tengen and that moment. You always brought the brush that he gave you and even tried painting with it. But then, you're still too shy to show him your creations. You're not the junior high student who would often run to him and say,

"Sensei, look! I drew mountains!"

"Sensei! I learned a new shading technique!"

"Sensei! I sketched you!"

You stopped in your tracks when you remembered that somewhere in your sketchbook that you always bring as well, his image is immortalised as your creation. You were always fascinated with his fuchsia eyes and their flashiness, and that's one of the reasons why you loved art back then as well. You idolised your teacher too much.

"Oh! Y/L/N-chan! You're here!"

Tengen's voice surprised you, and you turned to see him standing behind you, wearing a dark-coloured haori over his shirt instead of his usual hoodie. His hair was not styled right now, but he still looked amazing. Why in the world would he find you this easy? The campus was big, but still, he's here again.

You composed yourself and smiled at him and his best friend, the history professor, Kyojuro Rengoku. "Good day, Tengen-sensei, Rengoku-sensei."

"I told you, Kyo, she was one of the best students back then!"

You blushed as he boasted about you to his friend. "No, I'm not! Don't believe him, Rengoku-sensei."

"Why not? You were my little apprentice back then! You even wanted special art classes, remember?"

You blushed more at what he was saying. Yes, you wanted special classes from him before, but today's different.

"It's actually great to know Tengen-san! But I think I have to go and leave you two! It's nice meeting you, Y/L/N-san!"

Kyojuro walked away, leaving you with a smiling Tengen. You looked away. "What's up, Y/L/N-chan?" He asked with a low voice.

"Good."

"Still mad 'cause I teased you the last time? HAHA! I don't know how you can resist my flashiness!"

You rolled your eyes and pouted. "What do you need, sensei?"

"Hmm, nothing earlier, but now that you asked, I want you to be my model."

"What?"

"Uhh, be my model?"

"Paint me like one of your French girls. Sensei! I heard that from somewhere! Can you also do it for me?"

"No." As a flashback of the innocent you asking Tengen to paint you like one of his French girls came back in your memory, you quickly declined the offer. God, I was such an idiot back then!

"That's sad. Okay then!"

Tengen walked past you with a sudden, serious look that made you rethink what you had said. He was your mentor before, and honestly, right now, you want to see him look at you the way he looked at his painting back in the art room at that time.

"Tengen-sensei!" You called, and your professor stopped walking but didn't face you or answer. "Sensei sorry, I'll be your model."

He faced you with a smile and said, "Knew it! My flashiness would still work on you! I'll meet you later at my gallery around 8 p.m. I know you know the place. You always visit me there when you're still a young kiddo!"

"Ugh! Stop with the reminiscing, sensei. Just paint me... I mean, let's just get this over with."

You walked past him this time, but you swear that when you said, "Just paint me..." there was a sudden change in his expression, as if a memory had been unlocked. You don't want to dive into it more, but you also want to know if those core memories still visit him.

Your class ended early, so you headed home directly, preparing to meet your art professor later. Yes, the conversation would be about art and other stuff, but a small part of you desires his attention, so you wear your most beautiful dress.

You ate dinner at the cafe near his gallery, waiting for him to arrive. Yes, you went there earlier than expected as well, and perhaps that's because you wanted to see how he'd react to you.

You finally saw his car pull over, so you stepped out of the cafe and went to ring his bell. But before you could do so, he opened the door for you. "Yep! I saw you walk down the street. Come in!"

He said this, answering you even if you hadn't asked anything. When you managed to come in, flashbacks came into your head like the bridge of a song. Goosebumps formed on your arms as you looked around and remembered how you strolled inside his gallery, admiring his paintings, when you were 15 years old.

Tengen had given you a special class back then, saying that he saw potential in you. And once in your lifetime, the man made you happy.

"Tengen-sensei, the place hasn't changed."

"Yep, kept it the way I used to like it. Perhaps you used to love it back then as well?"

You looked up at him and met his fuschia eyes, which immediately made your heart skip again. "I-I brought your paint brush."

"Oh? Did you paint with it?"

"Yes sensei."

"Good girl." Tengen patted your head, and the faintest of his touches made you almost want to burst.

"You look pretty flashy tonight."

He muttered under his breath as he took in your breath-taking appearance. His eyes wandered over you as if he were watching a movie. You can't help but notice the change in his breath, which eventually became in sync with yours.

"Sensei, I hope I look okay for your portrait painting."

"You look flamboyant... Oh, um! Sit here! Let's start so you can go home early!"

Tengen was lost for words, or perhaps lost within his thoughts, so he just decided to start painting.

You sat on the chair to which he pointed, and he got his things ready. A few minutes later, he's done with your outline.

You watched him carefully as his hands worked on his sketch, and sometimes your eyes would meet, but he would quickly look down on his canvas. His breathing and the sound of his brush strokes were like unheard music, and you loved that you were hearing them right now.

"Y/L/N-chan, do you remember when you were younger and you told me to paint you as one of my French girls?"

"Sensei! Stop! I was so young back then, and I didn't know it was Rose from Titanic who said that!"

"Oooh! So now you know!"

"Duh, of course. The Internet's a thing today, and I'm old enough to watch that scene."

"So, do you still want me to paint you like one of my French girls?"

His question and the sudden seriousness of his voice caught you off guard. Your eyes locked with his, and you felt a warm sensation down your stomach as he kept on staring at you.

"I actually wouldn't mind if you still wanted to." Tengen added, standing from his seat after he placed his paint brush on his table. You felt conscious as he sat beside you and draped his hand across your shoulder.

"And this look is what I've always wanted to see!" He said that and suddenly snapped a photo of both of you. You were looking at him with wonder in your eyes, and your cheeks were red from fluster as he smiled at you teasingly. That's the image that he had perfectly captured on his phone.

"Sensei?"

"Perfect! We're done here! I'll just continue the painting with this reference!"

You were astounded by his actions. So he was just messing up with you? With that, you stood up and gave him a glare.

"Why do you always toy with other people's feelings?"

You suddenly blurted out at your professor, pushing him away when he tried to reach out for you.

Right now, Tengen is surprised by you. He can't fathom why you got mad all of a sudden. He tried to touch you once again, but you swatted his hands for the second time.

"Y/L/N-chan..."

"You've ruined everything before. Even now, you're trying to do so! Why do you have to come back?"

A single tear fell from your eye, and perhaps that's because of all your unresolved past with him. You remembered how sad you were when you were 15 and knew that your favourite teacher had left the school. He didn't just leave without saying goodbye. He also ruined your dream to be his apprentice, even if he had promised that he'd always be there by your side because he sees his younger self within you.

Everything was gone in an instant, with him.

Flashback:

"Y/N-chan, have you seen our new art professor? My gosh, he's hot!"

Art. The word leaves a bitter taste on your tongue. You just nodded, not showing any interest at all, until...

"Good morning, everyone!" As if fate were teasing you, the voice that you had awaited the most for a long time came into your senses, and you shot a surprise glance at the professor who was standing in front of you.

A tall, broad-shouldered man with lightly tanned skin and white hair stood at the head of the classroom, smiling at the students with the warmth you had been missing. Those fuchsia eyes reminded you all the memories that you thought you had forgotten.

"Tengen-sensei."

But of course, he looked at you like how he looked at his other students. Perhaps you had already slipped his mind.

Perhaps he never cared about you at all.

And with that, you decided to treat him like any other professor as well. Deciding to forget about your once colourful past with him.

"What do you mean?"

"Of course you have forgotten. Who am I to you even? I was insane to think that I mattered even a single bit for you... since I was younger!"

"Tengen-sensei, if I graduate, would you still be here? Would you be with me even if I became a successful artist in the future?

"Of course, like what I promised! I'll even be here if you're married with five kids! You're my apprentice, right? Perhaps someday you'll even be flashier than me. And I'm looking forward to that."

"But I don't want to marry another man. I just want to be with you, sensei."

"Hey kiddo! Don't say things like that! You're only 15, and that will make me a creep!"

"But I mean it; I want to be with you when I grow up!"

"Eh, even if we're not married, I promise I'll still stay. You won't get rid of your favourite sensei that easy!"

Heyyy, do you want to read Party Of Your Lifetime lyric analysis / speculation / vibe check that would make any sensible literature teacher weep (not necessarily for good reasons)? Hi :)

"Party of your lifetime" -> So title, obviously menacing, you WILL die after this. Very cool 10/10.

"We're On-Lyne" -> Not just announcing the bands name but also alluding to the fact that they have the technology based Techrot. Also, infested, hivemind, online, got it? Gotta love it.

Bit of a theory, if the Techrot was a thing before Y2K but Y2K is still a threat, it could be argued that the Techrot would/will become more powerful once the clock hits 0:00, especially if the computers are not turned off. We know how fans are, if your faves name is On-Lyne you will keep your PC on going into the new year, as every true On-Lyne fan should. So their name's also a tactic to make sure they spread as far as they can.

"Step into the night, where all the stars are bright" -> Stars, celebrities aka. On-Lyne, also stars make up the night sky, they are a 'unity' could allude to the infested hivemind, also also, manipulation, "You can become a bright star just like us, you just have to 'step into the night' / become infested."

"We're back again to do this, and we're gonna do it right" -> This song is On-Lynes big return, but also could mean that the infestation is here. Also could mean that the Techrot isn't just 'infestation that started in 1999' but the infestation we know and love from the game, that Albrecht brought back from the future to make proto-frames that is now spreading far and wild in 1999. This would also explain why the Techrot / Coda Technocyte managed to evolve into Liches while our 'basic' infestation couldn't. Because they are the basic infestation that had ages to evolve.

"Something wild's in the air, I just know it" -> Infestation obviously. I'm also gonna say that this line has a double meaning, and is a warning to the listeners.

I think this song, other than being a catchy indoctrination 'hymn' of the infested is also a warning by the original On-Lyne members. Throughout the song the heat as motif pops up multiple times usually followed by / following references to fighting / winning. There are also some lines that makes the song feel like a bit of a tug war between consciousnesses, a fight for control, I believe between the Techrot and the band members, which is actually a pretty common theme in Warframe, see Umbra, all the Warframes, Ordis, Narmer, the Holdfast, even to some extent Drifter in Duviri and Stalker in his recent quest.

"Now we're moving quicker [...] there's no turning back" -> Again, obvious infested reference, the "Once we hit the scene, there's no turning back" being another double meaning warning, that once the concert happens something will change forever. I believe this would be the Techrot taking complete control over On-Lyne.

[Chorus starts]

"Gonna bring that feeling, gonna feel the heat, On-Lyne is in town and we can't be beat" -> This is again the Techrot spreading, little shout out to heat damage that is effective against them except, no.

If my reading of this song being sang by 2 opposing forces is right this is probably one of the coolest lines here. So if this is On-Lynes big return this could also be the first time they're preforming this song live. Now the Infestation and most likely Techrot too, are weak to heat, so it could be that it's influence gets weaker the higher the temperature is. And this will be a concert. Do you see the vision?

"We come alive moving under the neon glow" -> And what a follow up, someones "coming alive" moving (generating body heat) under the neon glow (lamps probably also generating a lot of heat).

"Everybody rock!" -> Again as reminder that this would be a stadium filled to the brim with people. Also a call to make people move, sing, etc. which is also could and probably is a tactic of the Techrot to get people more in sync.

"It's the party of your lifetime" -> Love the title.

"The signal's strong can you feel it in the floor?" -> This line gives me the vibes of both a cover up, like the Techrot moving under the crowds feet and so giving a reason for it, "Yeah that's how loud we are!" but also as a warning again "Can't you feel the floor moving???"

"It's the party of your lifetime"

[Chorus ends]

"Now that you can see there ain't no stopping me, The city's on 11 it's two thousand degrees" -> Again with the heat motif and fighting, this line to me has the double meaning, the infestation can't be stopped, it's 11, almost midnight, and shit is soon hitting the fan, but also could be a call out OF the infestation, "Here we have some control, it's HOT in here, like 2000 degrees"

"Something big is coming, but it's just the beginning (this is just the beginning, just the beginning)" -> This is one of the 2 lines that made me believe this theory, because while this could just be the infested cheekily telling us "Hey hihi shit is gonna happen soon, lol" it's right after the line that can be read as 'going against the infestation' and while this line could be read as a warning, we can't forget about the background vocals. Let's consider the difference between the lines 'It's just the beginning' and 'This is just the beginning' the first can be said by someone who has nothing to do with something, very general, while the second says THIS, THIS thing that I'm doing, THIS thing that is happening. The way I read it the front vocals are sang by the actual humans that the Techrot is controlling, and the background is the Techrot.

"Neon lights flicker, DJ spins the track, the boys are in sync and there's no turning back" -> Notice how right after the last line we get a sharp switch to 3rd person story telling, as if the Techrot just managed to get control back? This is obviously telling someone that these people are now under control and this is something that can't be undone. But whom? This sounds just like "There's no reason to fight now, everything is lost anyway." Also the line "Neon lights flicker" is painting a scene that usually alludes to something changing / bad happening.

"Now that you're invested, we're turning up the heat, Everybody sing together on the one, two, three" -> This is the line that is being called out as famously mishear for 'Now that you're infested', for good reason, but again, notice how heat and fighting (albeit well hidden) come up again in the song, 'You're in(f/v)ested so we're turning up the heat, and everybody should sing along now, (which is again something that would make the stadium hotter from moving -> body heat.

[Chorus]

"Floating higher as the stars align, here on the edge of 1999" -> This could be meaning that as Y2K approaches they are getting stronger 'floating higher', just as it could mean out of body experience, aka. losing control.

"All systems go in this moment like you've never known (you've never known)" -> This is the line I'm gonna cling to as the biggest clue to the Techrot going crazy at the New Year. Also why I think On-Lyne encouraged their fans to not turn their computers off before midnight. I'm not sure I really believe this but this line could be the reverse of 'Something big is coming' with the boys singing in parenthesizes 'You've never known what's happening' to the crowd.

"Join us embrace us, don't ever erase us (On-Lyne's in the house)" -> So subtlety is out the window, we're bringing in the chanting until-

"Stop" -> And this is the line that made me write this whole post. Just. Why? Why would the Techrot put a stop to the chanting? Except if this isn't the Techrot but there is some humanity, something, anything remaining from the people they infested, that is for one last time fighting back?

"On-Lyne's in the house to bring the party of your lifetime" -> So this is purely speculation but I do believe that from this line forward it is the actual On-Lyne singing right until the end. Why?

Right after this line the music stops, like a moment of clarity, that could be so much. It could be the infestation wrestling back control once and for all, but I don't believe that that would be the case, from the lyrics that follow.

[Chorus] -> So I already explained that everything in the chorus could be interpreted as either the Techrot or On-lyne singing it, but after it comes

"We come to life, we come to life on the floor, This feeling's what we came for, The beat is strong, we can feel it in the floor" -> 'We come to life on the floor' can be interpreted as the Techrots control loosening which is the 'feeling that [they] came here for' and it's not the infested moving underfoot, but the beat they will feel in their last moments as the song ends.

"Party of your lifetime"

"[distorted] Party of your lifetime" -> The Techrot singing, trying to imitate human sound probably.

"Party of your life. Time." -> The moment I think the Techrot won was right after 'life' but it couldn't stop the 'time', because Warframe is at the end of the day about love, and hope and all that good stuff and so I refuse to look at this in any other way.

So anyway, this is just a random theory / analysis that I thought of after listening to this song too many times. I think the themes of battling for control over our lives fits Warframe perfectly, with the quests that we had in the past few years, and so I wouldn't be surprised if our new fan favorite boy band had a similar story to tell.
