in case of byler doubt i remember this framing exists:

el looking back at mike the moment she’s taken away for god knows how long and oh?? who is that in the corner? surely not will byers alone (even though johnathan is supposed to be right next to him) creating a perfect love triangle imagery? noooo that would be too obvious

since we’ve heard they’re in talks for the 5th life smp season i’ve seen people saying zedaph should be added and at first i was like “hmm… i don’t know if that would go well.” and i say that as an enormous zedaph enjoyer. he’s extremely talented and funny and he gets along great with everyone, but he also spends all his time in a hole doing redstone crafts by himself and he’s kind of allergic to lore. typical hermit behavior doesn’t mesh well with the constraints of the series, so i thought, “if zedaph can’t do his normal mad scientist thing, what can he do?”

but then i realized. the series is so short-lived that people don’t spend time doing redstone or constructing elaborate builds. resources are extremely limited and players have to interact with each other. the life series forces everyone out of their comfort zone in one way or another.

we know that more typically solitary players have done well, and i know zedaph would rise to the challenge. he’s also an absolute wildcard. he has to put his energy somewhere. so now the question is, if zedaph can’t do redstone, what will he do instead?

I’ve been a lonestar girlie since s1. The 4-5 months that the show airs is the reason why I’m able to get through the rest 7-8 months of the year. It’s one of my all time fave shows.

In terms of favorite character, let’s see. Tyler Kennedy Strand has got to be my favorite. He’s babygirl. He’s princess. He’s a cunt. 100/10. No notes. And ofc I love Carlos. something about his protective personality and repressed emotions really hit home lol. He’s somehow so affectionate and closed off at the same time lol. He’s me.

Other than these two, I adore Paul and Marjan. And Tommy. And Mateo and Nancy and Grace and Judd. my beloved. I’m loving Wyatt this season.

I’ll be honest it’s one of those shows where I love all the characters. Except Owen. He’s too white for my taste. The show is also slightly overtop on the patriotism and religious elements for my taste. But I get that it’s a fox show so can’t get out of that one lol. But a gay couple being able to have so many storylines on prime time television means the world to me. I do wish we could have seen more storylines for Paul though. But I think the show runners to a horrible job at spreading the time between the ensemble. Like it’s all Owen and Judd sometimes I’ll be honest.
