So I was just thinking about Gotham and like, ‘what would the general rules of the city be?’ So I stated a list

1) No plants

2) don’t go out at night

It’s a pretty short list cause I got caught on ‘don’t go out at night’ cause like, clubs and bars exist lol

So than I emended it to ‘don’t go out alone’ but I honestly don’t think your chances about scarecrow would be any better 5 (or less! Come on, who actually has 5 friends these days?) to 1.

So than that thought led me down the rabbit hole of hole ‘how many of the hostages that villains take hostage, are intoxicated.

Just imagine the Riddler has say twenty two hostages tied up over a vat of acid (22 cause he grabbed 21 from the club and wanted an even number)

Batman (disappointed): Really Ed?

Robin! Dick: Gee wiz dude?! Why did you swipe these swell people from the club?

Batman: Ed this is the third time this year.

Robin: yeah dude! Common we all know you have to work for your hostages. Leading a group out with glow sticks is cheating!

Riddler: I-

That one women that was randomly grabbed from the street to make an even number: Please! Please let me go! I have a wife and a kid please!!

Riddler (fed up): What! You can’t have a wife! Your a girl!

Drunk sorority girl (who’s so intoxicated fear is an abstract concept) piping in: Dudeeeee gay people exist wtf!

Robin (only wants to cause chaos lol): Yeah Ed wtf! That’s so insensitive!!

*Cue the rest of the drunk college students joining in and bullying Ed - cause who else would be lured out of a club with the promise of free glow sticks?*

I’m gonna speed run the rest of this scenario real quick.

Ed, who subcomes to the woes of being bullied by a group of drunk college students goes “Fucking fine!! I’ll let you go!” And than let’s them go. Well, that one women he kidnapped flees at the first sign of escape (she’s a nurse, she has a brain lmao) while the rest of the group just stays there.

“What. Are. You. Doing. You’re free! Leave! You can go!” The riddler exclaims, throwing his hands in the air.

The drunk girl from before pips up, “nah ah,” and says seriously “we got glow sticks, so bats has to solve the riddle.”

Numerous other students nod their heads in agreement and raising their own glow sticks for emphasis.

Another fun tidbit I imagine is that their all wearing those glow stick crowns ya know? So when the kidnapped women from before gets home, her wife is amused like, “what’s this?” She says with a grin, “did you have a work party?”

And than the kidnapped women solemnly shakes her head and with a hollow tone says, “I was kidnapped by the Riddler.”

I had a long and convoluted thought process while in the shower tonight. It started, as many great thought processes do, with the show How I Met Your Mother.

I had been watching season one with my brother earlier tonight, and as I was watching it I realized the show is a little similar to a story I’m writing about a group of friends from college telling stories about themselves to their kids at a bonfire (I’m from the Midwest). I also realized one of my characters is sort of similar to Barney, that got me thinking about Neil Patrick Harris again.

I started thinking about how he had been in a lot of the media I’ve loved as a kid, especially A Series of Unfortunate Events. That got me thinking about Klaus (he’s my favorite), which then got me thinking about how my favorite character from The Umbrella Academy is also named Klaus.

I started thinking about the other siblings from A Series of Unfortunate Events, and I remembered all their first names, but for the life of me I could not remember their last name.

Just then my brother came into the bathroom to brush his teeth. I asked him if he knew their last name. He said no and left me to ponder for a bit. He came back and told me about 30 seconds later.

So now I finally knew the full names of the Baudelaire siblings and was content.

But not for long, as my brain compared Baudelaire with the name Adelaide. This made me start thinking about Over the Garden Wall and how good it is. I also started singing the Adelaide song to myself.

Singing that song somehow made me start thinking about the silly songs with Larry from veggie tales. My favorite of those songs was always I Love My Lips.

This thing had made its rounds in my friends group chat for a while. By this time I had finished my shower and was intent on finding this gif, so I searched for it for a good five minutes till I found it.

When I found it I started thinking about how my friend group used to be when we used this gif, which made me kind of sad and also made me think about earlier in the day when I went to the grocery store

It used to be called shop-n-save and they had good blueberry scones and I’ve been going there my entire life. Recently it was bought by family fare, which was kind of weird but it didn’t mind at first. But then they started changing shit. They took the crystal cafe sign down, then rearranged some sections, and started selling less good doughnuts at the bakery. But now, they changed the location of everything in the store, they took out the bins they used to put the produce in ( the same ones I had sat on and leaned on for years) and replaced them with these soulless feeling grey boxes. They took out a whole group of shelves by the pharmacy ( I think they’re building a starbucks ) (fuck starbucks). They made the shelves longer, I can’t find anything. It seems the only thing they didn’t change was the dairy isle.

Sometimes when I’m there I find myself staring at one section of the dairy isle and pretending the rest isn’t there. That they hadn’t gone and messed it up.

I know it really doesn’t matter much, but it matters to me so much more than I ever thought it would.

I hate going to the store now, I hate going somewhere I’ve known all my life and not knowing anything about it. I hate the way it’s changed.

Idek why I’m crying while writing this, because to most people, it really does not matter. I don’t know why it matters so much to me but I wish I could stop feeling sick to my stomach every time I step into that store and see it’s changed.

Anyways, I don’t thinks anyone will see this, I’m pretty bad at tagging things. But if did and you’re here, you should watch How I Met Your Mother.

Also. ALSO. I noticed a while ago that Prowl has the habit of..like…constantly frowning. So. I did a bit of research and made this graph.

In 70 chapters, Prowl frowns rougly 104 times. And the intensity of this gesture is very clearly correlated with the development of his relationship with Jazz, as you can see ahahahahah It might be wrong tho don’t take me seriously I’m not good with graphs

First two doodles are inspired by other posts- the sunflower image is from this post by leeyzart - though they did a more wholesome comic with it 💀 and the Umbrella Academy car meme was inspired by this post by saprozoicworm - the doodle on the bottom left reminded me of it, though idk if that was an intentional reference

The Creek comic is inspired by my head canon that Tweek wears, like, combat or just heavy duty snow boots and Craig wears Converse. Probably a widespread fan canon, but as a girlie who has always worn converse, even to her restaurant job which I don’t recommend, I have almost slip or actually slipped so many times, and I wanted to draw Craig going through that lmao

Second comic is a thought I had when playing TFBW cause there’s this one cutscene, after you defeat Professor Chaos on the roof of the U-Store-It, where Stan does his thing where he flies up using his tape measure or whatever, but WE’RE ON THE ROOF??? WHAT ARE YOU HOOKING ONTO?????? And I thought it was a funny visual if Jesus just was picking his up, cause how else would you explain that (I guess it could be like ~imagination~ but that’s not as funny
