▰▰▰▰▰▰▰ @13fcked 𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭 ﹕ ❛ stop saying things that make me want to kiss the hell out of you. ❜
a wicked smirk touches the demon’s lips , satisfaction held within her gaze as pale eyes drink him in. adrien’s jealousy and his anger , particularly centered around what nepharia does for ‘ work ’ , can be exhausting ( especially when he kills her prey ). honestly , what did he expect with the way he met her ? he’s lucky he still has a heartbeat. she has to admit , though— — getting adrien hot and bothered when he’s trying to be angry is fun for her. it feels good. she feels powerful , being able to influence his volatile emotions so easily. nepharia steps her seduction up a notch , once she finally feels as though she’s starting to have him where she wants him. his budding desire is already tantalizing , and she craves more. she craves to fuck him until he stops breathing. but in lieu of that , she will settle for the lust he offers.
❛ awe , now why would i want to stop doing that ? ❜ her voice is light , airy , sweet , as her fingers begin to unbutton the top of his shirt. she keeps her intense gaze fixed on his face , actually appreciating the beauty he holds. adrien has been her favorite one so far. her favorite toy. he may not be the most obedient , but he’s certainly one of the prettiest. one of the deadliest. one of the most exciting. ❛ especially when i want you to kiss me— — ❜ a pause after she finishes unbuttoning his shirt , opening the fabric to let her hands immediately roam the newly exposed flesh. she drops her lips to his chest , placing wet kisses along his skin , between her words , ❛ — — really … fucking … bad. ❜

Shit random adrinette (one-sided?) au where Adrien finds a random definitely-not-haunted doll in an antique store. The owner gives him a quick run down on the doll's history and tells Adrien that her name is Marinette. Adrien decides to buy it and take it home initially as a gift for his mother. When Gabriel sees the doll, he immediately protests against it, immediately assuming that Adrien got it for himself, but Emilie is delighted that Adrien has what she believes is a new hobby that she also happens to be interested in (doll collecting (insert a deep elegy about whether Adrien is just another doll for her collection, or something other than a toy or an extension of herself)).
Flustered, Adrien just decides to keep the doll in his room after his mum basically locks him in a situation where he has to keep it. He puts Marinette on his desk, but when he gets up in the middle of the night to the sight of glassy blue eyes that seem to glow in the dark staring at him, he decides to stuff her away in a drawer.
The next afternoon, when Adrien gets back from school, he finds the doll back on his desk. He freaks out a little because of the eerie feeling he got from it last night, but Emilie admits to putting it back because she went through his stuff looking for her, and she thought it would have been a shame to let a cute doll like that stay out of sight. So Adrien leaves Marinette there, but he constantly feels watched and on edge.
Meanwhile, Marinette is definitely a normal doll who doesn't crawl into Adrien's bed at night and watch him sleep and whisper what their fictional future could look like together if her saviour would just notice her. No siree, nothing supernatural of the sort happening.
Will Adrien's eventual isolation lead to him accepting the doll as his only friend, or will he gather the courage to toss it out and live without a tiny stalker always looking at him through sapphire eyes?
Who knows! I sure as hell don't XD

The Issue with Felix Fathom
So, I'm not a fan of this character. I think there was a lot that could be done with him. I think he was done really dirty by the writing (but what's new there XD). He had a lot of potential; he was genuinely entertaining when he showed up and he slayed in that musical number. And that he was the only one to actually advance the plot meaningfully? Respect. But Season 5, as Season 5 does, ruined his character. And I don't like when bad writing ruins good characters. So I took it upon myself to break down his character and how Season 5 took a sledgehammer to it. I divided it into three parts.
A) Inconsistent motivations
B) Half-assed Redemption
C) Feligami is a bad ship
This gets long, so here we go.
A) Inconsistent motivations
The first time we're introduced to Felix in the episode named after him, he seems to just be a grade A dick, going out of his way to ruin his cousin's life and making deals with Hawkmoth to get his hands on some rings (which we now know are Adrien's amok) and the natural assumption is that he's just a spiteful asshole who's angry that Adrien didn't attend his father's funeral. Then he comes back in the finale of Season 4 (after a not really noteworthy return in Gabriel Agreste the episode) and proceeds to spend that time betraying Ladybug and giving all the Miraculous to Gabe, along with Adrien's Amok in exchange for the Peacock Miraculous. Then he shows up again in Season 5 as an advocate for Sentimonster rights and commits genocide, only going back on it when Adrien and Kagami called him out. Then he spends a while stalking Kagami and saving her from her mother, and then reveals his tragic backstory to her, instantly earning her trust. Then they get together, and the next time we see them, Kagami is declaring that they're doing this to stop their parents from getting in the way of their love. Then he is straight up missing from the finale, so that really did go somewhere.
So, let's take a look at his motivations through all these episodes one more time.
Felix: Just seems to want to ruin Adrien's life and get his hands on the rings that have his Amok in them.
Strikeback: Wants the Peacock Miraculous in exchange for the rest of the Miraculous and Adrien's Amok.
Emotion: Wants to rid the world of humans in an effort to create a better world for his fellow Sentimonsters.
Representation: Wants to stop Monarch so that he and Kagami can love each other freely without their parents' interference.
Recreation: Is a part of the hero team.
That's five different motivations within the course of, what, 8-9 episodes? And it causes some major inconsistencies in his characterization.
For an example, the episode Emotion introduces his whole Senti-rights thing, and he starts snapping the world away so that he and Adrien, and later Kagami can live happily ever after. He only let Kagami stick around because he realized she was also a Senti later (and Marinette too was only spared after he realized the relationship between her and Adrien), so we assume it was just going to be him and Adrien. He goes as far as to say he did this all for them, showing that he really cares about their opinion and well-being. And considering that Kagami and Marinette only factored into this later, we assume he was originally doing this just for Adrien.
Then why did he treat Adrien like such absolute shit over his past appearances? Let's review exactly what Felix has done to the cousin he claims he loves enough to snap out the world to protect him.
Victim blamed him for not standing up to Gabriel (despite knowing he was being mind-controlled and had no way of standing up to him).
Took on his identity to ruin his relationships with others he cared about.
Sent a cruel response to his friends' kind video to isolate him from his friends.
Stole his Amok from Gabe.
Realized his father was Shadow Moth and didn't tell him of the danger he was living under, or you know, give him back his Amok which holds his very autonomy in it.
Didn't try even a little to help Adrien when he realized the danger he was in.
Didn't tell Adrien he was a Sentimonster.
Gave Adrien's Amok back to Gabe without a hint of regret or hesitation.
Snapped everyone he cared about out of existence.
And yet, he loves him so much.
For someone who supposedly cares about Adrien, he sure did go out of his way to bully him and treat him like garbage. A clear example of how his motivations were retconned. He went from being a grade-A douchebag to Adrien to supposedly caring deeply about Adrien and wishing only for his well-being. He went from screwing over Adrien to doing everything for him apparently. He traded his Amok with no hesitation and with a grin on his face, and yet he supposedly did all this for Adrien.
Then the next time we see him, he's a Senti-rights advocate and is committing genocide for that cause. Which, fine. It was set up in the Season 4 finale that he seemed to care about Sentis. Still doesn't explain him caring about Adrien suddenly, but okay. Then we see him get into a relationship with Kagami, and the next time we see him, he's completely over his Senti-rights phase, and is now focusing on making sure Gabe gets taken down so that he and Kagami can love each other. There is no mention of his earlier motivation that he would not shut up about, and the only motivation is Kagami stating that they can't love each other unless they take care of Monarch. Sentimonster rights? Who cares about that? All that they need is to protect their love, because they're all that matters right? Not like there's a third Sentimonster still being controlled by his supervillain father that might need rescuing. Which is something Felix should probably care about if he's such an advocate for Senti-rights and freedom. Instead of, you know, focusing only on one girl he met less than a month ago.
And I'm not saying that wanting to protect his love can't be his motivation. Except when you make Senti-rights his motivation and then forget all about it to push an already rushed ship, it just ruins his character. Constantly retconning character motivations doesn't make for good storytelling, who woulda thunk it.
And just to drive in this complete reversal, the episode Emotion where Felix begins his quest for Senti-rights ends with him breaking down over having to destroy the Red Moon. And what do you know, this complete change in his motivation makes him create a Senti-projector for no reason and destroy it with no hesitation! Almost like the writers forgot what he was all about in the first half of the season! That they established him as someone who fought for giving Sentimonsters agency and treating them like people, and who would break down at having to destroy them, and only created Red Moon because he thought he wouldn't have to destroy her! But when his motivation changed to being in love with Kagami, I guess that all just up and vanished. And it just makes him come off as a hypocrite.
(Which is honestly what he is. Felix is a hypocrite. Despite not having been able to break free of his abusive father until his death, he mocks Adrien for not doing the same. To be clear, this is not criticism of Felix for not being able to fight back against Colt. He is not to blame for that whatsoever, and he did not deserve that treatment. This is criticism of him blaming Adrien for not fighting Gabriel, which is pretty hypocritical of him. And as I mentioned before, he says that he's not like others and that he wouldn't bring a Sentimonster to life just to destroy it later. Senti-projector would beg to differ.
These moments are transparently hypocritical. But the thing is, the narrative doesn't portray these as hypocritical moments, and never seems to acknowledge this aspect of his character. Instead, it's played straight and never addressed. You'd think that Felix doing the one thing he swore never to do would be addressed, but nah.)
And then Felix, the most proactive character in the series, whose whole appeal is that he gets shit done, decides to leave it to Ladybug to handle and fucks off to who knows where. And then he joins the team at the end despite having shown nothing but disdain for these people the last time he saw them, and despite having never shown the desire to work in a team.
B) Half-assed Redemption
That is, if it can even be called one.
So, yeah, let's start by listing all the awful shit Felix has done. We've already covered the list of things he did to Adrien specifically. But we can move onto the rest of his awful actions.
Tried to kiss Ladybug without her consent.
Betrayed Ladybug and gave all the Miraculous to Shadow Moth, putting Paris in grave danger.
Committed literal genocide.
That's it, pretty much. Until you consider the magnitude of what he's done, and then it all becomes a whole lot worse.
Like, he gave all the Miraculous to Gabe. He directly enabled a terrorist for personal gain. He actively put the lives of countless people in danger for his own desires. He betrayed Ladybug's trust and caused her great suffering. And did I mention he enabled a terrorist?
And his defense for this?
Argos: True, except I work for no one. (kicks Ladybug, causing her to crash onto a building) I only helped Monarch cause it served my plans! (charges in to punch her and she dodges) I needed the Peacock Miraculous and today I need yours and Cat Noir's so I can make my wish! (makes another attempt to attack Ladybug with his heel as Ladybug rolls away to evade it)
Oh yeah, so sadness, much remorse. Very redeemable.
But the funny part is, this isn't even the worst of it. He then goes on to commit literal genocide. I know I brought this up more casually before, but I need to emphasize how actually fucked up this is. Felix, of his own free will and of completely sound mind, killed all the people in Paris and possibly in other parts of the world, whilst singing a peppy song and enjoying himself.
And yeah, I got a good laugh out of that scene too. Doesn't make it any less fucked up. He committed genocide without a care in the world. Mf literally pulled an Eren Yeager, but even Eren had some remorse or something. And he didn't even bring them back because he realized mass murder was wrong, he did it because the people he did it for turned on him, and he realized that maybe people with morals don't appreciate him killing everyone in the world including the people they love.
And what does that episode do? Have Ladybug blindly trust that Felix would fix things himself, with no reason for her to do so. He literally just admitted he feels no remorse or regret for helping Monarch, that he wants their Miraculous to make a wish and that he has nothing to lose. And she just... decides to trust him because... the Lucky Charm said so? Because she was able to feel positive vibes coming from deep within him even though he has proven to be nothing but a self-absorbed piece of shit? Even though he's betrayed her trust so much and caused her a great deal of pain and suffering? And it's not even like it was right, because he didn't change and fix things because he could be trusted. He did it because his plan failed to please Adrien and Kagami and he realized he had fucked up with them. Not the people he killed, just them.
Okay.
After this, we see him in Pretension. To his credit, he seems to have given up on genocide, and has taken up stalking as a new hobby to keep himself busy. And then he kidnaps Kagami, yadda yadda, Sentimonsters are people, we don't abuse them in my house, all that. And then, this is what gets Kagami to start advocating for Felix.
Like, he just not too long ago snapped her mother out of existence right in front of her. He just snapped the entire fucking world out of existence. He should be publicly despised. People should be out for his head. Ladybug and Chat Noir should have made getting his Miraculous back one of their top priorities. But no one does anything. And hearing one speech about how Sentimonsters should be protected makes Kagami just flip her whole tune about Felix, as though he didn't commit unimaginable horrors. One hint at a tragic backstory and a passionate speech about Sentimonster rights, and suddenly he didn't do anything wrong. He was actually a good guy all along! There's certainly no reason for anyone to distrust him! He may have done all that awful shit, but he had good intentions! That makes it all okay!
Like, I get it. I get that his motivations are sympathetic. But that does not absolve him of wrongdoing. He doesn't get a free pass from consequences and accountability just because he had good reasons and a bad childhood. Kagami goes from being unbelievably hurt by him essentially murdering her mother, to being okay around him when he kidnaps her, to literally shielding him from consequences a short while later, and ends the episode by going on a date with him. As though she doesn't remember what he did.
Really. Kagami would do that. Kagami Tsurugi. You expect me to believe she'd do that? That she'd be swayed by one passionate speech and start coddling and protecting people from facing justice? Kagami would do that? Sure Jan.
Seriously, this is like listening to a terrorist go on about how animals deserve to be treated well and shouldn't be abused and deciding that their fervor for animal rights means they're a good person at heart. They aren't completely insane, cool. Doesn't mean they still aren't a horrible, monstrous person! And yes, I am comparing the two situations. Just because Felix brought all the people back doesn't change the fact that he first did it with the intention of having it be permanent, only brought everyone back because it was hurting the people he tried to please and not because he realized genocide was wrong, and then never expressed remorse for it. The writers aren't good enough to properly explore the implications of what just happened, but it doesn't mean I'm gonna brush by it, especially since they want to be taken seriously this season.
But Felix had a bad childhood, and he had good reasons, and his heart was in the right place. So naturally, he doesn't need to be called out, and Kagami's word is enough for Ladybug and Chat Noir to just... straight up forget that he happily gave up the Miraculous to Monarch and let him do whatever he wants. Sure, he betrayed them horribly and said he wasn't sorry at all about it, but this girl who's known him for a few hours at best says he's a good guy, so it must be true! The show tells us that he's not bad really, he's just misunderstood! Even if he never really apologized or expressed regret and remorse. Ladybug and Chat Noir have valid and justifiable reasons for going after Felix, and the narrative hasn't yet proven them wrong. And yet, him simply having sympathetic motivations is enough for him to be considered a good person and have all his mistakes forgotten. That's not how a redemption works.
Forgive me for being a basic bitch, but look at ATLA and how it handled Zuko's arc. Yeah, Zuko had sympathetic motivations, but that was never used as an excuse. He had to go through a whole arc of realizing the error of his ways, and no one coddles him through it. He actively owns up to his mistakes, accepts blame and responsibility for them, and works hard to earn the Gaang's forgiveness and trust. They don't forgive him immediately either, and he literally puts his life at risk to be accepted by them. He openly calls himself out and apologizes. Contrast that to Felix's "redemption," where his sympathetic motivations are used not to explain his actions, but to excuse them. Him having sympathetic motivations makes another character start to like him enough to shield him from being called out. He gets sympathy and understanding despite having done nothing to earn it. He never apologizes or tries to fix what he did, he never even admits that he hurt people and made mistakes, and yet just because he showed that he's not a heartless monster, the people he hurt are just supposed to accept that he's not a bad person. He's done so many awful things, but he's shown that he can potentially have a compassionate side (for very a specific thing but okay) so all is forgiven and forgotten.
The thing is, having sympathetic motivations and qualities that indicate that he's not completely cruel don't mean a thing if he doesn't act on them. It doesn't matter that he says he loves Adrien if he treats him like shit anyway. It doesn't matter if Felix cares about things and isn't actually as untrustworthy and selfish as he came off if he never shows those qualities in his actions. Sure, Kagami might trust him for whatever reason, but Ladybug and Chat Noir (as Adrien) are victims of his toxic actions, and Kagami's word about how he's not their enemy shouldn't be enough for them to just blindly let it go. Because they have no reason to trust him, and he has not shown any sign that he wants to make up for what he did or even that he feels bad about it at all (again, he literally says he doesn't).
Sympathetic backstories are supposed to help us recontextualize a character's actions, yes. Zuko too came off as a lot more sympathetic after we learnt of his past. That didn't mean he didn't have to make up for what he did. He had to work to change and grow, and actively states that he was wrong and that he wants to make up for it. Where does Felix do this? All he does is start talking about Senti-rights and suddenly all he's done is water under the bridge? All the things he's done can be forgotten because he did them for good reasons? One emotional moment means he's not that bad after all and means they can trust him, even though he's done nothing to prove that? Him having sympathetic motivations means he's now justified in what he did and doesn't need to make up for it?
That's not redemption. That's excusing bad people because they did what they did for "good reasons". He never admits to his mistakes, and he never takes accountability. Instead, Kagami is there to vouch for him despite not being the one most affected by him. And then no one calls him out anymore. And according to that little play, he still thinks it was justified for him to do those things because he had a good reason, and the show agrees with him!
A good heart is not enough for a redemption. It involves learning and growing and taking accountability. It means showing regret and remorse and the desire to do better. It means apologizing and accepting consequences. In canon, Felix has done none of those things. He expresses some kind of noble reason and is immediately validated and entitled to understanding and forgiveness. The characters don't bring up his past crimes, and he joins the team with no issue in the finale, as though he didn't snap these people out of existence gleefully, or as though he wasn't the reason they all suffered under Monarch.
You want me to believe Felix is a good guy? Give him an actual arc of growth. Actually make him confront the things he did. Actually let him face consequences and make it up to the people he hurt. Let him admit to his faults and learn how to be better. Don't give him a girlfriend who acts as a shield to exonerate him of all fault. That's not how a redemption arc works. That's not how any of this works.
C) Feligami is a bad ship
Imma say it. This is not a good ship.
Yeah, in concept it's fine, even good. I always love me some enemies to lovers. But the execution is so rushed and so poor that I really can't understand why they even got together.
The short version? It actively detracts from both of their characters.
The long version? Here we go.
It's so rushed.
We get Felix and Kagami together in Emotion, Pretension, and Representation. They go from enemies to lovers in three episodes, and in about a week in canon. In Emotion, they are very assuredly not friends. Felix only spares her because she's a Senti like him, and she straight up attacks him for killing everyone.
In Pretension, he stalks her for a while, saves her from her mother, reveals his sympathetic motivations leading her to start trusting him, and they go on a date at the end of the episode.
A few problems:
Kagami seems to have forgotten everything Felix did to her and the rest of the world just... a few days ago.
Kagami just admitted to still being in love with Adrien.
So for her to just... go along with him with no distrust or hatred is so strange. She called him out for stalking her, but what about the mass murder? Surely she hasn't forgotten about that?
And also, she literally just admitted to still being in love with Adrien. And she's immediately going on a date with Felix? I'm not saying she can't or that she shouldn't but... why have her still being in love with Adrien be such a big part of her arc this season, so much so that it had an episode dedicated to it, if it's going to be resolved in no time at all? Where did her feelings for Adrien go? They are never brought up again. Did they disappear off screen? And Felix and Kagami end up together in one single episode! They barely know each other! And by the time the next episode with them in it rolls around, Kagami is saying shit like "My mother and Gabriel Agreste will never allow us to love each other freely." Baby girl you've barely known him for a week, slow down please.
So yeah, rushed. But that's not all the problems I have with it. In their effort to pair these two together, there are some problems with the very concept of this ship. Now, the reason I said earlier that it's conceptually a good ship is because there are a few minor issues in it, but nothing that cannot be fixed with time and good writing. So overall it's a good concept. Problem is, we have the end product but the writing is shitty and ruins the whole thing.
It damages Felix's arc.
At least, whatever Felix's arc was supposed to be in Season 5. It started out with him trying to create a better world for Sentimonsters like himself. There are two aspects of his arc that the writers were trying to go for here. To integrate him into the protagonists' side from his role as an antagonist (his seasonal arc), and to flesh out his goal of getting more freedom for Sentis (his overall character arc).
Feligami as a ship undermines both these goals. Introducing Kagami as a love interest for Felix makes her more or less a shield for him to protect him from consequences, undercutting the "redemption" part of his arc. It stops him from having to face consequences or make amends or take accountability, because having a good person be in love with him is an easier way of painting him as also "good," thereby reducing the need to have him go through any actual growth. Having Kagami love Felix instantly prevents him from having to grow. It makes it cliche "Guy changes with the love of a girl" trope, except done poorly because he never really changed, she just started making it seem like he did by excusing him.
And as for his goal of freedom for Sentimonsters, his relationship with Kagami switches the focus from developing him, developing the lore of Sentimonsters (because the previous seasons did a piss poor job of it) and his goal into developing Feligami, which changes his goal from what was previously established to Being In Love With Kagami. He goes from wanting all Sentimonsters to be free to wanting to protect his relationship with Kagami and only that. You could say that he and Kagami are Sentimonsters and therefore saving their relationship falls under this, but that's not how it's framed. It's not framed as something Felix thinks furthers his goal, it's something else entirely. Felix spares no more thought to the freedom of Sentimonsters and does not mention it again, or else he would have thought about the other Sentimonster, his cousin, whom he damned in the previous season. He spent his reintroduction in Season 5 professing how deeply he cares for him, and yet after Feligami becomes a thing, he barely spares a thought to the only other Sentimonster (whose free will he traded for personal gain) even though he's such an advocate for Senti-rights.
It ruins Kagami's arc.
Kagami's overall arc is to win back her free will from her mother and find her own path in life, and this arc this season focuses on Kagami learning how to allow herself to be more passionate and emotional and want more from her life, both in terms of companionship and freedom, which is a step on her way to freeing herself from her mother's control. A big part of this arc is her still being in love with Adrien. She's also a Sentimonster, making her arc about autonomy and freeing herself from the control of her mother, finding new relationships and forging a new path for herself. This is something that has always been a part of Kagami's character. She's stubborn and headstrong. She finds her own way. And with the introduction of the plot point of her being a Sentimonster, you'd expect a pivotal moment to be her reclaiming her own agency. Except that's not what happens.
In Pretension, Tomoe asks for her Amok, and Kagami gives it to her. And at the end of the episode, it's revealed that Felix stole her actual Amok, and gives it back to her, thereby being the actual one who saves Kagami from being controlled by her mother. And it undercuts Kagami's arc of standing up to her mother and asserting her independence, because it's not her asserting herself, it's Felix sneakily saving her Amok for her. Kagami, who paves her own way, has a pivotal part of her arc where she reclaims her autonomy done for her by someone else. And we never see anything related to them again. So it makes an important moment which the episode has been building to, of Kagami standing up for herself and progressing her character arc into her being saved by a guy. She basically becomes a damsel in distress. And her arc never progresses beyond that, so her character journey in Season 5 which was supposed to be about freeing herself ends up being Kagami Finds A Boyfriend.
The episodes before this were building up her relationship with Marinette and Adrien, showing that Kagami is progressing in her social life, making friends and opening up to more people as a part of her development. Her development happened mostly starting from Season 3 and since she was only in a handful of episodes, we only saw it progress slowly. But we see a progression in her relationship with Mari and Adrien as she becomes more comfortable, open and vulnerable with them. And episodes like Perfection show how she is making more friends, that she is loved by many people. We see her start to want more friends, more freedom. And this is emphasized more than in the previous seasons. But once Felix enters the picture and Feligami happens, it's like her other relationships go out of the window. All she cares about is Felix. She doesn't want to assert herself to protect her other friendships too. All she cares about is that she and Felix won't be able to love each other. This straight up ruins her arc about finding many lasting relationships that she values and wants to fight for, because now she has one boyfriend to focus on over the many friends she was making and wanted to make, which was one of the things I actually liked about the Season. Kagami started the season with wanting to fight for all her relationships, and ended it with only caring about one guy she met a week ago. Thanks, I hate it.
It makes them both act OOC.
Feligami as a ship alters both Felix and Kagami's characters to revolve around their romance, even if it means they act in ways that are out of character. It drastically changes their personalities and their roles in the story.
For Kagami, it manifests itself the worst in Representation. Kagami is a very direct, to the point individual. If she wants to say something, she says it. If she wants to do something, she does it, or at least tries her best to do it. And Kagami hates lying. She broke up with Adrien for this very reason, because he wasn't being honest with her. So for her to go through this elaborate scheme to trick Marinette into going to the school by following Felix disguised as Adrien is unnecessary and... kind of cruel. And for her to have discovered Marinette's identity as Ladybug, and to go behind her back and tell Felix without informing Marinette herself, is so out of character for her. Felix is not entitled to this information. In fact, he is the last person Mari would want to reveal this to, other than Monarch and his lackeys. And for Kagami to betray Mari like this when she hates secrets and lies is so out of character for her.
And it's the same thing with Adrien. This is someone she loves so much that breaking up with him hurt her so badly, and she chooses to not tell him vital information that she knows about him, that he is a Sentimonster and his father is Monarch. Anyone who is keeping this secret from Adrien by thinking they know what's best for him is actively denying his ability to break free of his abusive father, whom Kagami is already trying to fight against, and yet the thought of telling Adrien the truth never crosses her mind. Even after she pushed him to assert himself and stand up for himself. She called him out for this in Risk, and yet now she is complicit in denying him the information he needs to do that. Kagami, who told Adrien to stick up for himself, is denying him what he needs to do that and making decisions for him.
It undercuts her personality in other ways too. Kagami is a very stubborn and very straightforward person. And so, for her to coddle Felix when Ladybug and Chat Noir come to rightfully take back the Peacock Miraculous and call Felix out is so against how she usually is. She is reduced to being Felix's protector. Kagami does not take shit lying down, and she does not shy away from calling people out, even if she loves them. For her to validate Felix just because he said and did a few nice things makes her come off very differently from who she is.
So basically, her personality changes. Since she is around Felix, whose MO is usually being tricky and sneaky, Kagami also goes along with it to advance the relationship and the plot, even though it is the antithesis of her character. She willfully abandons all her principles so that this plot can progress. Because Feligami can't happen as fast as it needs to if the writers have to explore this drastic difference between their values, as it would make them incompatible with each other. It could be resolved, but it needs time which the writers don't have because Feligami needs to happen quickly before the season ends for plot purposes. So this lack of exploration of their dynamic makes the ship seem very shallow, and so they would rather remove their defining traits altogether than take the time to flesh out their dynamic and reconcile their contradictory values which would make their relationship more natural.
The relationship also hurts Kagami's role in the story. The first half focused on her relationships with her friends and her mother. But once Felix came along, like I said, her arc switched to revolve around him. Not only does this hurt Kagami's arc, but it also removes her from the plot. Her mother is now part of the main conflict, and yet Kagami is separated from her at this crucial time and put into a romance with Felix to keep them busy and away from the main plot. Them being Sentimonsters too only really matters for exposition purposes and to force a relationship between them. And her arc of breaking free from her mother is abandoned, because now her relationship with Tomoe barely matters to the story. Only Feligami matters now.
And as for Felix, one of his greatest appeals as a character is his proactiveness. He pushes the story forward, he gets things done. He is interesting and engaging to watch because he doesn't sit around and let other characters make a move before he does something. And this romance arc with Kagami makes him do just that. Once his romance arc with Kagami begins, Felix's character is resigned to this arc, and therefore his pivotal role in the story proper ends. The relationships that were developed for him that gave him an active role in the story, such as his relationship with Adrien and his enmity with Gabe were all pushed to the side. These are the main characters in the show, and Felix's relationship to them was what allowed him to be close to the conflict. But after Feligami became a thing, Felix's connection to the main plot was severed, and all that he could contribute to it was the information he had figured out about it. So that's why his main contribution to the conflict this season was just telling Mari that Gabe is Monarch.
Basically, he was a mouthpiece for exposition. Compare this to his role in Strikeback, where he was an active part of the conflict because of his connection to Gabe and Adrien. And him being cut off from everyone except Kagami, who is by no means anything but a side character and who is certainly not as involved in the final conflict as she should be, his role also moves with hers because his arc is written around her. And his role only extends as far as hers, which is why he is barely in the finale except for a few seconds at the end. He goes from an active character to a passive one, which massively reduces his appeal in the story. He goes from proactive to complacent, which is so different from the type of person he was established as. Look me in the eye and tell me that Felix from Season 4 would let Ladybug handle things instead of marching up to Gabe and snapping him out of existence himself.
Feligami as a ship alters Felix's personality (the very little of it that was left after Season 4 ended). He was introduced as conniving and cruel and selfish. Him caring about Sentimonsters doesn't change that about him. But once Feligami becomes a thing, that aspect of his personality straight up disappears. From a writing standpoint, there is a reason for this which I'll get into later, but suffice to say that in order for Feligami to happen, they had to retool Felix's personality to be more appealing, and tone down his cruelty and lack of morals.
And as I've already mentioned, him destroying the Senti-projector without any sort of hesitation or guilt when he completely broke down about having to kill Red Moon shows how much his character had to change, even withing the season for this to happen. Felix being willing to kill a Sentimonster for any reason is completely unfathomable (lol) and yet he does it in order to save his relationship with Kagami without a hint of remorse.
Once again, the romance messes with their fundamental character traits and roles in the story.
Their relationship is diet Adrienette.
It is. Kagami is introduced to Felix when he is masquerading as Adrien. She later compares him to Marinette. Kagami is the reserved, isolated kid, like Adrien. Felix takes on the role of the "awkward" Marinette. Kagami is locked away by her parent like Adrien, Felix comes to her rescue like Marinette is supposed to for Adrien.
The thing is, these similarities are extremely superficial. Kagami and Adrien share a similar situation as abused children who are currently being controlled by their parent, but that's about where it ends. And Felix's awkwardness and shyness remind Kagami of Marinette, but that's about where their similarities end. And yet, their relationship is not built up much beyond that. There are some differences, but again, a lot of the concept is the same, and with so less screentime, it ends up coming off as a less compelling and way more rushed version of the main couple. Especially since the writers clearly didn't know what to do with Kagami and Felix, so the obvious solution was to give them each other and end that plot line. This relationship is literally just "Pair the Spares."
Of course, there are also differences, plenty in fact, but all things considered, it seems like the writers wanted to make Kagami and Felix prominent but didn't know how to end their seasonal arcs. Kagami's of finding lasting relationships (the plural being important actually)/being in love with Adrien, and Felix's of redemption and coming over to the good side. So they threw Felix at Kagami as a consolation prize and Kagami at Felix as a convenient excuse. Of course, this is a really poor conclusion to their seasonal arcs, and also warps their overall character arcs, Kagami's of asserting her individuality and Felix's of Senti-rights. It twists it into becoming all about their love when they could continue working on progressing those like they've been doing in the episodes prior to Feligami becoming canon.
And it seems to also be trying to compensate for Adrienette. Adrien and Marinette are having trouble kissing? Felix and Kagami can't stop. Adrienette took literally forever to happen? Feligami happened in a single episode. This relationship is built around the main couple with not much of a leg to stand on its own. They have no organic, natural build up. It just happens because the plot demands it. The reason I say their relationship is built around Adrienette because it is clearly only happening because they needed to get Felix and Kagami out of the way, and they try to make up for some of the criticisms levelled against Adrienette with this ship.
But speaking of differences...
They don't know each other.
Quite frankly, they do not know each other at all. They've barely known each other for a week. That's not enough to fall in love with someone, not enough that someone like Kagami is talking about it like they're soulmates, star-crossed lovers who are fighting the world or something. Their relationship is extremely superficial, and the only reason they are together is because the plot demanded it to be so. We've seen how it warps their characters to be involved in a romance and how them even falling in love necessitates that their personalities be altered. And there are a few other contrivances that leads to the conclusion that this is clearly less a natural and organic relationship and more a set of conveniences that are needed to give them something to do in the season.
Why do I say they don't know each other? Why do I say they aren't in love with each other? Well...
Felix only likes Kagami because she's a Sentimonster.
Because that's the reason he ever even noticed her. He only noticed her because she was a Sentimonster. That's why he spared her. That's why he followed her. That's why he likes her. Because she's just like him.
Ask yourself, what else does Felix know about Kagami? What does he like about her explicitly? Does he appreciate her character? Does he enjoy her interests? What would they talk about other than them being Sentimonsters? And the answer to that is we don't know. We don't know why Felix likes Kagami, aside from the fact that she's a Sentimonster like him and that she stuck up for him. The rest is inference, because they only appear in what, one more episode after that, and they spend all that time putting on that cringy play for Marinette (which does fuck all because Mari doesn't figure out that Gabe is Monarch from that anyway lmfao).
Kagami only likes Felix because he's similar to Adrien.
On the most superficial level, of course. Felix looks like Adrien, he sounds like Adrien. The reason Kagami broke up with Adrien is because she wanted him to be more assertive, and Felix has that in spades. He's kind of like Adrien... the way Kagami wants him.
Puts things in a different context, huh?
Adrien is kind and compassionate, he's empathetic and selfless. He cares about her. Kagami was drawn to that nature of his. And on the surface, Felix exhibits these traits as well. He's kind to Kagami, he seems to have a great deal of compassion and empathy for Sentimonsters. And it was only previously revealed that Kagami still has feelings for Adrien. And here she sees a boy who looks and sounds like her old boyfriend, who seems to share some of the same qualities as him, even doing things like drawing hearts on her window, which is something a romantic like Adrien would do...
Seems like Kagami is trying to replace Adrien with someone who seems to be just like him. She's projecting her feelings for Adrien onto someone who meets the criteria.
Of course, that's where these superficial similarities end. Felix and Adrien couldn't be more different. Adrien is a hero. He's Chat Noir, who risks his life on the daily to battle Monarch. Felix... directly enabled Monarch's rise to power.
And that's just it. Kagami has not seen this. Kagami does not know this. She sees that Felix is, on some level, similar to Adrien, and seems to like him for that reason. But she doesn't know Felix as he is. She's only ever seen his "nice" side. She doesn't know who he truly is and what he's done. She doesn't know him. She's never seen him at his worst, she doesn't know just how badly he's fucked up, she doesn't know that he wasn't sorry for it at all. And what he did do, she never brings up and never acknowledges it, so it's like she forgot. At least for the whole genocide thing, we can at least make the excuse that he brought everyone back to explain her not trying to cut him into tiny pieces the moment she sees him (again, it's a bad excuse, it should not have been glossed over and forgotten, but if I have to do the writers' work for them...). But she doesn't know him beyond that. All she's seen is his "good" side. She doesn't know how he betrayed Ladybug. How he allied himself with Monarch. How he treated his cousin. She doesn't know him at all.
How do you think she'd react if she knew all this? Would she still be in a relationship with him? No. And that's why the writers had to make sure she never found out, and only saw the "good" side of him. So that she could fall for him without having to deal with the atrocities that he committed. So that they could come up with justifications for why she liked him without having to have him face consequences and actually deal with what he's done. They had to erase the worst of his actions so that Kagami could come to protect his feelings from his victims. They had to alter his personality and ignore some of his more unsavory personality traits so that they could justify someone like Kagami falling for him. The moment Kagami is in the picture and the Feligami arc happens, all Felix's traits like his cunning, his selfishness... it's all gone. All to make him more appealing.
She liked Adrien because he was nice to her. Not just to her, but to everyone around him. Felix is also nice to her. But that's all she's seen. She doesn't know Felix. So she doesn't know that he's only nice to her (and his mom). She's only seen him in situations where he comes off as good and nice, and she hasn't known him long enough to get the whole picture (people will point to the events of Emotion, but it doesn't count if she never seems to hold it against him or indicate that she even remembers it). Which leads to Kagami having a fundamental misunderstanding of who Felix is, not knowing that he's selfish and cruel, and not like Adrien. They had to hide this side of him when he was with Kagami to make him seem more nicer, kinder and sweeter, more like Adrien. And this is the Felix that Kagami falls for. Not for who he is as himself, flaws and all, but only the positive aspects of him, the qualities that got her to fall for Adrien.
There is a fundamental lack of understanding between them because they don't know a lot about each other. Their relationship isn't built on acceptance of the other person, they only like each other because they meet their superficial expectations and haven't known each other long enough to understand each other deeper, which would make them realize how different they are, who the other person truly is. This is the kind of relationship that ends in a mess. Once Kagami finds out about Felix being a tricky and scheming person, more than what he showed in Emotion, and that he's selfish enough to damn them all for personal gain, do you think she'd stay with him?
Kagami has a strong sense of justice and right or wrong, while Felix is... morally ambiguous, to say the least. And so, it begs the question, how were Kagami "I hate deception" Tsurugi and Felix "serial manipulator" Fathom able to reconcile this fundamental difference in their principles that is a very defining part of who they are? The answer is they didn't. And that does not make for a sustainable relationship. They need to get to know each other better before acting like they're fated lovers straight outta Shakespeare. But as of now, they don't know each other, they don't know some very important things about each other that could cause conflict in their relationship. But dealing with that would take away from other important things such as Adrien and Marinette trying to kiss for the thousandth time, and so the writers fail to explore it and ignore it, opting to write Kagami and Felix both OOC to make it seem like they are totally made for each other and have a great relationship and are super in love.
It wouldn't matter if it was implied that Feligami have this conflict and the writers chose to hint at it and address it later. But they're portrayed as a perfect couple with only cute moments and stuff. And it really seems like there was no effort put into writing them at all. The relationship is only there to give them something to do. Watch as they never address any of this, watch as they just keep giving them cute moments instead of addressing some important issues with this relationship. Watch as they keep writing them OOC because they would hate each other if their personalities were left as they were.
Because it's not perfect. Quite frankly, it's not good.
Edit: Apparently she does know about Monarch. I forgot that play they did, and he mentions that he gave the Miraculous to Monarch. My bad. But my point still stands. In fact, it makes it worse. They made him justify himself in that play and Kagami just accepts it. Kagami accepts and willingly allies herself with someone who is the reason everyone is in such danger. She willingly allies with someone who hurt her friend in such a cruel way. It literally goes against her character to exonerate people just because they have a tragic backstory. And Felix's character and personality is still changed to be more appealing so that they don't have to deal with all this. You expect me to believe that Kagami, anyone really, would just brush over the fact that Felix sold them all out to Monarch? She knows about it, but they still had to brush over it in order for the ship to work. The writers knew that if they actually made Felix face consequences and acknowledged his actions, they could never get Feligami together, or even get anyone to associate with Felix for that matter.
And even if Kagami does know about Monarch, that doesn't change much of my criticism. She still doesn't know how he treated Adrien, she still hasn't seen his manipulative and cruel side. His personality was still made more appealing so that she could get together with him, which includes glossing over his flaws and unsavory character traits and erasing his mistakes. Kagami still doesn't know who Felix is as a person because she has never been exposed to that side of him. The show tries to sell it to us that he does everything for a good reason, and that's why Kagami decides to trust him (which I already addressed), but she hasn't seen all the shit he did to his cousin out of sheer spite. I stand by my point that Kagami would never associate herself with Felix if she knew who he really was, and the writers knew this. So, the show goes out of its way to downplay his mistakes and make it seem like they are noble heroics, and it literally changes his personality so that Kagami can like him. The way it's written, she might as well not know and nothing would be different, so really, none of my criticism is actually moot.
The writers couldn't find a way to have Feligami happen if Kagami held Felix accountable, so they just made Kagami brush over it/forget about it and had Felix justify himself. Their relationship isn't built on Felix genuinely regretting his mistakes and wanting to fix it, it's built on him getting a personality retool and justifying himself, and on Kagami miraculously (sorry) forgetting how egregious his mistakes are and excusing him because of his tragic backstory. Instead of dealing with his unsavory traits and acknowledging his mistakes, the show erases those traits and justifies his mistakes to make him seem better than he is. His awful actions are retconned into being noble deeds that were necessary and correct, so really, Kagami still doesn't know him because the story changed what he actually did into something else entirely. She doesn't truly know what he did, just the watered down, sanitized version of it. But to an audience who watched Felix remorselessly bargain with Gabriel and doom so many people to be victims of Monarch, it makes Kagami look bad by association for allying with someone who sold them all out to a terrorist and doesn't regret it.
Again, this is still changing his personality. Making a clearly bad act to be justified, thereby portraying it as some moral act instead of the scummy shit it was makes him seem better than he really is. I may have been wrong about Kagami not knowing about Monarch, but she still doesn't know him, because now he doesn't have those bad qualities and his mistakes aren't really mistakes. So, Kagami doesn't know who he truly is and thinks he and his actions are better than they really are. She doesn't accept him flaws and all, she doesn't realize he's changed or that he's trying to change. She's written so that she thinks that what he did wasn't so bad that he has to be held accountable for it. The writers couldn't put in the effort to actually deal with what he did, so they tried to justify him by having characters like Kagami not bring up his mistakes, and rather accept and agree with what he did. Which is just... yikes.
In conclusion...
Felix's character was stripped of his intrigue and plot relevance. He was turned from a compelling character and villain into a glorified love interest who barely mattered to the plot. His "redemption" was half-assed because the writers couldn't bother to put in the effort, instead choosing to drastically alter his personality. His motivations were retconned in twice in the season itself, and his story ultimately went nowhere. He was ruined so badly that he took Kagami down with him. And it's sad, because despite his villainous role in the story, he was a genuinely interesting character. He had a great presence and he actually acted and did stuff. He was fresh and fun. Sure, he was an asshole, but he was enjoyable and entertaining to watch. But once you take away what makes him so appealing, all that's left is a husk.
Thing is, most of the problems with Felix can be traced back to Feligami. And sure, maybe that handful of Feligami shippers who spawned after Gabriel Agreste were gratified, and you know what? Good for them. But I really didn't like it, and I thought it was a massive disservice to both Felix and Kagami's characters. For Felix to be reduced to a simp and a glorified trophy, and for Kagami to be reduced to "girl who fixes the guy" (which they didn't do well lol) and the damsel in distress for him to save. I didn't like how their characters were changed for this ship to happen all because the plot demanded that it had to happen.
I am not against a relationship between Felix and Kagami. I love enemies to lovers. But it has to be good. It shouldn't rely on the characters' personalities being changed and their past interactions and mistakes being forgotten in order to force a ship to happen within a single episode. It shouldn't gloss over their genuine incompatible qualities. And I've said it before, having opposing personalities isn't a sign that your relationship is fated to be doomed or something. Not at all. People can put in effort and work on their relationship to reconcile their differences. But it's not dealt with. Rather, it's ignored in favor of making them seem like the perfect couple just a week or so after they met? As though they are already like such a healthy and loving couple who know each other soooooo well. The show chooses to change their personalities rather than figure out a way for them to reconcile their actual personalities. And this hurts both their characters and makes them do things they would never do if it were not for the ship. And if you have to change your characters' personalities for a ship to happen... then no offense, but maybe it shouldn't happen.
And most of this problem with the ship is because of the lack of screentime. Maybe they could have cut down on the Chloe hatefest to, idk, give these important characters some more screentime? Maybe we didn't need Derision and we could have gotten some more of Felix and Kagami there? No hate to the people who like Derision, I'm happy that others got joy out of it, but was it really necessary? Maybe they could have given Felix and Kagami the time they gave to Socqueline, who is the most unnecessary character ever? And again, no hate to her fans, but was she really needed? Did she contribute anything that could not have been and wasn't already being contributed by an established character (Alya)? Does she have any plot relevance aside from being there?
Maybe if they had cut down on some of these useless decisions which no one really asked for (did anyone really look at Mari's awkwardness and think "oh I wonder what specific trauma she went through to be like this, it can't be that she's just nervous around her crush or anything"), they could have made Feligami a more natural and believable romance and had Felix develop as a character and join the team in the end without having to change their characters completely.
But Felix's character is riddled with inconsistency and hypocrisy, and he is the farthest thing from redeemed, even at the end of the season. And frankly, it baffles me that they decided to include him in the team at the end. The writing choices surrounding him did not help his character develop in any meaningful way. He was less a character with a story and an arc and more a plot device that the writers changed up whenever they needed him to do something. His personality and motivations changed according to the needs and demands of the plot. But it also went out of its way to justify and make the audience sympathize with him. So, Felix's writing is in this weird grey area where he's a victim of bad writing but it's used to his advantage more often than not.
(To get a little more into my personal feelings here, unlike characters like Chloe for whom I can get rightfully angry about her mistreatment by the narrative, I don't feel that way for Felix because the narrative favors him, and his personality is changed to make him look good in whatever plot he's in. His moments are at the expense of other characters. So, his character is inconsistent and poorly written, but it's often to his favor, and that makes it less... outrageous? to me than for characters like Chloe and Adrien. Idk, this is one of my most subjective points, feel free to disagree.)
But bad writing is still bad writing. Ultimately, the decisions made in Season 5 were detrimental to Felix's character and made him far less compelling than he was, and it's a damn shame. But hey, that's just me.
#Felix Salt#Feligami Salt#Is it salt if it's calling out the writing though?#ML Salt#ML Writing Salt#Meta#My meta#S5 Finale#This post sort of became more of a critique of Feligami than Felix didn't it...#It's not my fault that most things wrong with Felix are because of this ship lmao

Can you rec fics in which Gabriel isn't the main antagonist?
I mean there are plenty of fics where he isn't the main antagonist, where there's no antagonist at all (ML has a lot of fluff), but I'm assuming you mean fics where there IS a main antagonist but that antagonist isn't him, and probably a more epic sort of story with an antagonist on Gabriel's scale and not like, a high school bully kind of thing (not that there's a lot of those I'd rec anyway).

Stitched Together by @nedjsmlfavs
Stitch Witch Marinette was just supposed to be having a nice, terrifying outing with her best friends. She never expected to find a magically trapped kitten, but here we are! Whatever happened to this poor little guy?
Poor Adrien, being transformed and chained up for ages, having no idea that he was gonna be rescued. But at least he got to have fun at Marinette’s place as a cat!
Most of this fic is adorable, though with some dark undertones lying in wait. After all, SOMEONE chained up that poor little kitty…

In Direct Opposition by @generalluxun
Alya Cesaire is a brand new student to Francis Dupont, to Paris even. The first student she meets is one Chloé Bourgeois, and Alya is determined to make a friend. Things advance Chaotically. Her new 'friend' is definitely a handful, and suddenly Paris has a supervillain and two brand new superheroes! Alya finds herself balancing a lot of things, trying to live up to her ideals and those of her icons.
And then reality seems to contradict itself.
As time progresses it seems to happen more often. Becoming a hero, battling villains, staying alive, working through friendships. Something is lurking, tweaking events at times, changing them, and no one seems aware. Alya will need all her wits to get to the bottom of this. Her investigative mind can only get her so far though, and then she needs to rely on her friends. This is not a foe you can beat head on.
I betaed this entire fic, it’s really good! I adore the focus on Alya’s philosophy here, her determination to be a hero, to help people and defeat evil - and that defeating evil means trying to reform the people doing bad things when possible, to try to save EVERYONE, even the “villain”. I thought it was really clever the ways Alya would redirect Chloe and subtly encourage her to be a better person, while also trying to get the people around her to give her a second chance and keep an open mind.
Also Alya and Chloe are an adorable sapphic couple XD.

The Rules of Engagement by @overworkedunderwhelmed
When tragedy sends Adrien Agreste racing back to Paris to run his father’s fashion house, Marinette doesn’t expect much from her very new, very rich boss. At least not until she is set up on a blind date with a very familiar face.
Much to her surprise, Adrien Agreste was hiding far more secrets behind his stoic business-like mask of temporary CEO. Maybe as many secrets as she had been trying to hide for years.
As they grow closer, Marinette fears her mask isn’t nearly as foolproof. Day after day, it gets harder for her to keep all her secrets well hidden from the surprisingly sweet man who insisted on staying by her side as often as possible.
Only she couldn’t afford to fail. Not when her biggest secret could spell the end of the job she’d dreamed about for years.
They might not be superheroes in this universe, but secret identities are still active here. Both Marinette and Adrien used to be involved with the Ladybug and Chat Noir movies, and both kept that a secret - Adrien especially, since if his father found out about it, there could be some bad repercussions, as he voiced Chat Noir without Gabriel’s permission. Marinette, meanwhile, is well known for making cosplay (calling herself “Ladybug” after the movie), and has been in contact with “Chat Noir” for quite some time before the story starts - not that she knows he’s the actual VA.
It’s mostly an Adrienette fic with the two of them getting to know each other after their unusual “first” meeting, where Marinette pretended to be Kagami in order to scupper the date with Adrien and get Tomoe off her back, with some intrigue and drama thrown in. Lila’s skulking around causing problems for the people around her, but she’s honestly not the main focus here.

Kwami Magi Homura Magica by Crossoverpairinglover
After eighty-four loops in time, Homura Akemi takes a new path to Paris to save her friends.
The sixty-third loop after that, Homura arrived at the Agreste Mansion.
After clash after clash with the heroes of Paris and its greatest menace, events have reached a tipping point.
Ladybug faces someone verging on a second wish, a wish that endangers space and time to save a friend.
This was an absolutely AMAZING story that crossoverpairinglover dropped out of NOWHERE. Seriously, if you like Puella Magi Madoka Magica and Miraculous Ladybug, this is a real treat - but be prepared to sit down and binge, because it’s over 100,000 words and only has three chapters.
Anyway, I adore the care that’s taken with going through Homura’s mindset here, she gets a lot of character focus. And the lore! There’s some good explanations here for the history behind kwamis and Incubators’ interactions, and the Order of the Guardians normally treats Magical Girls, and why the Incubators are wrong in their assessment of the universe needing more energy to stave off entropy (hint: it involves Plagg), and just... there was a lot of love put into this.
And the action! Most Miraculous fics don’t have much in the way of fight scenes, and what they do have is mostly just functional. This is one of the rare exceptions. There’s some really long, detailed fight scenes in this (roughly the entire second half of the second chapter has one between Ladybug and Homura), which are a treat to read!
We also get some glimpses into a variety of other universes here, other timelines, alternate ways things could have gone down - I’m especially partial to the rather detailed view we get of one where Homura sent a message asking for help to the Ladyblog on her third time loop, and how things progressed from there.
The ending I also thought was really good, a happy ending that generally made sense and dealt with the issue of the Incubators.
If you can’t tell I’m really happy with this fic, it was incredible and unexpected. The length of the individual chapters can be daunting, but if you’re up for the task, I highly recommend giving it a shot!

Dreams of You by @chocoluckchipz
Dreams had long been his only escape. Dreams of Ladybug, the girl who had always been there for him.
If only in his dreams. And only while she was also sleeping.
Because with the first rays of sunshine gliding over her skin, with the first fluttering of her eyelashes, from the moment she opened her eyes in the morning, memories of Adrien would vanish from her mind.
She would go on living her life.
He would always be the only one who remembered.
At least until they meet in the real world and fall in love all over again, something that would’ve been easier to do if Adrien wasn't a prisoner in his own home.
Chocoluckchipz has some of the most beautifully executed lovesquare fics I’ve read, and this is no exception. Most of the fic is dedicated to Adrien wooing Marinette, spending time with her, with her own dream self acting as his wingman, giving her tips on how to get her to fall for him, all the while frustrated that she can’t share memories with her waking self, and that she and Adrien can’t share as much information as they’d like while asleep, due to limitations of the “curse” that allows Adrien to share dreams with his soulmate.
It’s not all cute Adrienette fluff though. There’s a threat in the background waiting to erupt, as the weirdness of Gabriel’s ultimatum to Adrien about finding Ladybug or else being forced to marry Lila keeps on gnawing at him - and with good reason. This is a world with magic and kwamis still, and that fact makes itself very relevant in the last third of the story.
It’s a well-written tale and very much worth a read!

Fnal Aware submission for now, sorry for so many again XD
I loved that Nino breakdown you were sent and agree it works well, two thoughts occur:
1: Kagami sort of being in Adrien & Chloe's Trauma Teens Trio but also Marinette's friend would give Nino some insight.
But its largely filtered through Marinette's perspective (She assumes Kagami only hangs with them out of obligation) As well as Kagami's repression. Thus it wouldn't be a beacon like Chloe having a meltdown was, but it'd be another note on the "Might need to revaluate some things" list.
2: Seating drama!
I figure Chloe waits outside for Adrien.
She either helps with Fu, or gets him away from Nathalie so they do make it to class on day one.
(If Adrien didn't there's a high chance of Akuma Chloe, though Gabriel would kind of wonder if she'd just try to kill him & avoid it)
Thing is, while not late its near class time, Chloe is trying to arrange the seats so she and Adrien can be close. She's not outright demanding/bullying, but giving a firm request to move seats.
Issue is, given history, her not mastering tone and a combo of the party pastry dispute on mind & Alya being there. Marinette doesn't budge and counters in her own firm tone, & things start to escalate.
Adrien doesn't see anything off with Chloe's tone cos he's used to harsh at level 11, Chloe's was like, 5 and a half, not even registering. He does try to stifle things when it becomes an argument but in a both sides way. To him it both are overreacting & he lacks context.
Issue is its too late, he's Chloe's friend, he's late, he's the one 'expecting' the seats to conform to his 'desires' in Marinette & Alya's perspective. (Alya's also low key like, "Oh my life is like a TV show, this is the popular queen bee/mean girl!" - Meanwhile Chloe has like 2 friends & near zero casual social skills.)
Madam Bustier intervenes and sorts out a temporary arrangement along with noting seats will shuffle over the year. Sort of giving everyone a concession if it means the fight stops before it goes from just loud to hurtful.
Nino, having seen Adrien try to play peacemaker figures he's at least more chill than Chloe and decides to bite the bullet and sit next to him; he knows Bustier wants him at the front anyway.
Hell yeah! It's just disaster of no one being able to talk lmao

So, you asked about whether Alya & Marinette were still friends in the Lady Glasswing & Guardian Neo AU and I wanted to answer here cps I'd just sent you a huge PM message XD
Anyway, the answer is yes, but also excellent question!
The way UI imagine the timeline is that the school year started as normal minus there being no expectation of Adrien showing up, so no fighting over seats.
(I am sure Chloe found something to antagonize over however, I have faith XD)
But yeah Marinette & Alya were still fast friends for the first month or two of school, then Christmas hit and oh fuckery, the accident happened.
Marinette gets extra time off as school is restarting but is still expected to turn up eventually (as mentioned elsewhere the systemic failure is an element)
Alya tries to be there for her, but also assumes she wants time alone at certain points or that Marinette's relatives are helping and still has to keep on top of her own work and Marinette seems... OK, as OK as one can be, so it gets easier to let the worry slip through the cracks. (As mentioned on the social failure front & Marinette not being able to vocalize how much pain she's in)
As a result the two are still friends when she comes back, but as Marinette's behavior worsens in response to her increasing desperation to save her family & growing alienation from other people the relationship sours. Then Lila slips in to 'befriend' Marinette & then they vanish off to Shanghai and just... She's gone... & Alya doesn't know why, not yet at least.
Ohhhhh thay sound awesome!!!!!!! And poor alya is probably gonna be so worried when mari disappear!!!!!! Even if they weren't as close as before!!!!!
Also lila is probably the one in the biggest trouble, which is funny actually!!!!
Alsp yeah chloe definitely would!!!

I am VERY intrigued by the Lukagami fake marriage??
And if it's okay to ask about more than one, Classroom Wedding sounds like it will be full of shenanigans...
Sure you can!
Okay, so: Lukagami fake marriage
Simple synopsis is that Tomoe has decided that she's had enough of Paris/Gabriel/akuma attacks/Kagami's rebellion... you name it, and she's moving back to Japan and is trying to force Kagami to go back with her.
Thing is, Kagami is of age (this is an aged-up au btw) and so she lies to her mother and tells her that she can't be forced to go back to Japan because she's married to Luka. When Tomoe asks what ever happened to Kagami's relationship with Adrien, she says that they broke up amicably and Adrien's now dating Marinette [they're not, but right after the confrontation Kagami messages them both asking them to back her up if they're ever asked]. And Luka's chill, so he'll play along.
So then shenanigans and we have Lukagami with Adrienette on the side.
Classroom Wedding
"Basically I want a goofy class and a dorky Adrienette being domestic and cute and ridiculous" was the idea XD
I thought it'd be cute if there was some sort of scenario where the class is mucking around and then through some lighthearted teasing and whatever, they get a bit carried away and “marry” Adrien and Marinette for fun. They’re joking but they do the whole thing with faux seriousness and it’s a little ridiculous but it’s fun, and then it becomes a running thing from that point on where they’ll call them husband and wife and if there’s partner work, Adrien immediately takes Marinette’s hand and is like “I can think of no better person to do this assessment with than my lovely wife” and vice versa, or if one of them mentions being ever so slightly ill, the classmates summon their “partner” as though it’s life or death and they come racing, or-
And I pondered on which dynamic (pre- pre-; prpr; post-reveal established relationship) would be best before thinking how funny it'd be if it was pre-reveal pre-relationship - they’re getting up to all these lovey-dovey shenanigans and have no idea that they love each other or that they’re each other’s superhero partner. Then imagine they carry on these shenanigans into the Ladynoir dynamic, both saying they’re “married” to their best friend, and since it happened to both of them, they don’t question it and assume there’s some sort of popular internet trend or something, and so when the reporters ask, they’re both like “we’re married to other people, my hero partner is truly my best friend”
And then shenanigans when they take the joke too seriously (but in a fun way), like they got rings for one another: all the boys took out Adrien to look for a ring for Marinette while the girls took her out for a ring to get Adrien, but they all bump into each other at the shops and have to pretend that they’re not doing what they’re actually doing because they wanted it to be a surprise for the other
Silly fluffy shenanigans with the class and Adrienette is all I want, and I don't think I've seen enough of this kind of content, so I'm like "well, maybe I'll write my own, idk"
If anyone has class shenanigans to contribute to this idea, lemme know!

10. Would you be friends with your muse if they were real? 5. Least favourite thing about roleplaying? 20. How do you overcome writer’s block?
Munday Meme || Accepting !
5. Least favourite thing about roleplaying? If we're talking about RPing in general, I guess that the thing I hate the most is the fact that it's hard to find RP partners who are willing to put in as much effort as you do in the interactions. I've found myself being the one who has to carry the plot forward, to bring up ideas, to reach out, etc. while the other person just sat there and watch me do it. I find that it's simply insane to see how many people forget that RPing is supposed to be a shared experience and that your writing partner isn't your fanfiction vending machine or whatever. You can see this extremely well on Tumblr because there are people who never send you stuff when you repost memes (and I'm not saying interaction memes, I'm talking about stuff like this one for the mun) and the likes, even if you have always tried to be a good mutual and sent them stuff whenever you had the chance. They act like all this is owed to them and never think that, maybe, it would be nice to return the interest, from time to time. This level of selfishness really makes me want to jump in their IMs and tell them that they are a selfish asshole. Because sending a meme? It literally takes 10 seconds. If we're talking about RPing on Tumblr specifically...there's a long list that things I hate or can't stand. I guess that, if I had to choose, it would be the fucking purity police attitude that has infected this hellsite, including the rpc. It irks me beyond measure to see people ostracized just because they had certain ideas about a character's portrayal or because they enjoy exploring through writing themes that are considered "problematic" because they are too dark or whatnot. And don't get me started on anon hate.
10. Would you be friends with your muse if they were real? I like to think that I could get along with some of them? Mabel and Morty for sure, and I think I could make friends with Summer and Adrien too. Maybe with some work Stan, especially because I'd let myself be roped into his cons, and Millie. Jinx would be very hit or miss. Everyone else it's a lot trickier. As much as I wish I could be their friends, I think that the rest of my muses wouldn't give enough of a damn about me, or maybe find me annoying or boring xD
20. How do you overcome writer’s block? Bold of you to assume that I can overcome it x'D Kidding aside, it depends. My ability to write is very intimately tied to my moods and levels of mental energy. There are times where I just need to switch to writing something else for a while and the inspiration comes back on its own easily enough. Other times I have to sit and make myself write. The first few paragraphs come out shitty and I get frustrated real easily, but after a while I manage to get back in the flow and that's how I get over it. It can take a lot of effort, but at the end of the day is usually worth it. And then there are the times when all I can do is waiting it out. They are the worst, and the most exasperating, but nothing can be done about it. It usually means that my mental health is doing real bad (whether I feel it or not), and it's the sign that I need a break from social medias / writing in general.

So basically I think you can draw heavy comparisons between reverse!Adrien (will just refer to him as Adrien from now on) and the titular character of the Shakespearian tragedy, Hamlet. They are the same guy actually.
(Hear me out. this is an exercise in media comparison for funnsies. I have too many thoughts about both these pieces of fiction, one being a master class of drama and the other being Hamlet (heheh) )
Unfortunately we are missing many aspects of context for Adrien’s life. We know he lost his mother, that Gabriel is in some way responsible for it and the resulting resentment over Gabriel’s happy disposition leads to him being recruited to the Supreme Order. From his general personality and appearance a lot can be gaged but I will be making some assumptions and guesses to what the exact circumstances are.
Both Hamlet and Adrien have lost an important parental figure and the remaining one is seemingly unaffected by this death. While Gertrude enters into a marriage with Claudius, the cause of King Hamlet’s death and therefore abandons her grief for her husband, Gabriel spends his time parading around as Betterfly, lost in his work, the having of the miraculous being the direct cause of Emlie’s death and therefore he does not grieve with his son. The son’s become incredibly moody characters as a result.
This leaves Adrien open to be swayed away from good and the Supreme represents the Ghost as we see in the play. They stand for the evil temptation to give into sin. We don’t know how much Adrien knows or assumes about the circumstances around Emile’s death and his father’s role in it but I like to imagine that the Supreme tells him that Betterfly played a part in order to lure him in. The same reason why Hamlet agrees to revenge his father by killing Claudius, the Ghost has given him a hook, an in.
(It’s also interesting that we don’t know what the Supreme is giving Adrien in return. We assume his mother’s life but from the fact she had to die, this would be an empty promise if that is his wish. We know if he succeeds that the Supreme will fix the miraculous damage of either Claw or Shady, the other dying. (Maybe I’m misremembering) But then there’d have to be a main reward that made them join in the first place, or maybe the power of the miraculous is good enough. Perhaps Adrien simply wants revenge for his mother’s death, wants acknowledgment of her passing from his father. He isn’t aware of the wish so maybe he does only seek revenge and an outlet for his grief.)
ClawNoir is the facade Adrien dons like Hamlet’s antic disposition. His behaviour becomes extreme, rude and brash. He mocks and puns and belittles. He partakes in risky behaviour and demonstrates little regard for his life. Both characters would much rather die but neither have the guts to do it. They alienate their living parental figure further, fall deeper into their cursed path. (They do differ in how Adrien does not decide to do a sexism XD)
It takes its toll on him. Both character’s find themselves so deep along this path, having committed so much evil there is no return for them. Hamlet commits himself after Polonius’s murder and Adrien after realising the Supreme has been keeping things from them. Adrien is on track for an equally tragic ending, resigned to his duty and barrelling towards a messy end if it then weren’t for our Adrien’s intervention.
But what if no multiverse shenanigans had an occurred? It could be said the not only Gabriel would have died that day.
These are all things I feel reasonably certain in saying. Connecting these texts allows for Adrien’s story to be filled in. We get almost nothing of his internal world in the special but through his actions I see many similarities to the craze of Hamlet’s soliloquies. His death wish, his conflict over his actions and how fate twists him. Their positions are also similar in being son’s of powerful men, the wealth and position this gives them making their grief all the most difficult.
Then in that way we can see his strength in where he differs from Hamlet. Another is on the path with him and he has not yet turn against the entire world.
Having sick and evil reverse!Adrien thoughts might share later

🐞 ox!Luka
💭 Zoe and Felix
💡 Nath
🐞 ox!Luka
Honestly I think ox!Luka could really work. Grant it, this is going off my own idea of Luka really. But I truly believe Luka is a very passive person. He's one to always take the passive route unless someone he really cares for is in danger as evident in Silencer when a grown man put his hand on Marinette, a 14-year-old. I also consider him a very big brother type figure as he tends to be around Juleka, Marinette, and Adrien.
Luka is also a character who tends to prevent the impending disaster (him as Viperion using second chance being a huge example) so to have a power that also prevents attacks could help him. Especially since he has a tendency to just let things happen to him or around him already and seem almost unfazed by it when most people would find it a lot more upsetting. Such as Marinette's general treatment of their relationship from his POV, his mother's rather embarrassing tendency to pick fights with pretty much anybody, his father's... everything, as well as how he generally reacts to akuma attacks. Like he leaps into action but he doesn't fight. He always tries to find the smartest route, the quickest way to end a conflict, with very minimal conflict.
I think he would be very willing to be the first one out on field considering he is invulnerable to most powers, but he would also be the first one to leave. So he would work much like a search and find deal where he uses his five minutes to discover some kind of advantage the heroes could use against their enemy before basically tagging out to let someone a bit more experience take the lead like Ladybug or Chat Noir.
💭 Zoe and Felix
My headcanon is that Zoe could see through Felix's acting rather easily and Felix would underestimate her so she tends to take him off guard and he would feel very vulnerable around her. He would also probably hate that and very much hate her, or think he does, and keep her as far away from him as possible.
Zoe would probably be very timid around him, much like with her mother and sister, but also speak up when he is messing things up for her friends. I think she would eventually gain more confidence around him seeing how he reacts to her.
I do think it would be a fun romantic relationship but also pretty hilarious considering Felix is the character with the most... well... character and Zoe is the one with the least character. XD And I think it would be very cute if and when Felix got a redemption arc if he would help Zoe with her acting skills since he's a very good actor.
I feel like this is a very dangerous idea you introduced me to because I am very much a multi-shipper. :' D
💡 Nath
I will assume this is Nathaniel and not Nathalie because I think the fandom mostly refers to Nathaniel as Nath. But in case it is Nathalie I'll add some stuff about her too.
With Nathaniel I would love to see him be a character outside of someone else. Every episode that gave him focus was him mostly focusing on someone else rather than his general interests. I think it would be really fun to see his process on how he creates a comic page and just what made him decide to go with Evillustrator still and make him a hero and acknowledge that he used to be a villain. I basically think this answers the 3. I really would just like to see him do more art, and learn about how he takes it on. I'm rather into art myself so I think it would be fun to see.
Now for Nathalie I would love to see her day-to-day life explored more. How does she tackle a day? I would have loved to see how she managed taking care of Adrien, doing her general job, and helping Hawkmoth beat up some children. That must be freaking crazy. I think it would be fun. I would also love to see her do more things outside of the Agrestes. I do get that's, of course, part of her general arc but I mean not having it totally rely on the Agrestes to function. Like maybe she ends up going shopping for something for Gabriel and then sees something in the store she thinks Adrien will like. It can still shows she cares for them and it's part of her story but it doesn't really include them being around her as it can be rather suffocating.
I would also love for her relationship with Adrien to be explored a whole lot more. It's very cute and different to most of Adrien's other relationships. It would be fun to see.
Thank you for the ask! I will have to think about ox!Luka more and maybe draw some concepts! That sounds fun! I hope you are having a wonderful day, afternoon, evening, or whatever time it is where you are. <3

I'm really curious to see what the relationship between the heroes and Mistress Moon and Black Feather. If this is after Hawkmoth (assuming Hawkmoth happened at all), then that would give a lot of backing to the Eclipse Foundation since the wounds caused by the corruption of an evil upper-class man would be fresher, and it would have a lot of paranoid and scared people looking for a way to protect themselves against magic. Anyway, back on topic, I could see Mistress Moon and Black Feather being almost like dark mentors for the heroes (though this could be my bias since I do like the dark mentor troupe). Mistress Moon and Black Feather could admire the heroes for their work but think they don't do the dark/"necessary" to stop corruption, either because they aren't ready or they're too young. It would be interesting to see someone acknowledge that the heroes are kids who were kind of forced into this role (in Marinette and Adrien's case). Plus, it could lead to the heroes having their own complex feelings around the villains (especially if they (the villains) do acknowledge that what they do is evil (it could go with the whole "you have to break a few eggs to make an omelette" way of thinking), which would show how different they are from Hawmoth who would never acknowledge or admit his mistakes.
In fact, while writing this, I imagined that Mistress Moon would have a more playful, motherly attitude toward the heroes, while Black Feather has a more drill sergeant/couch attitude toward them and would even point out flaws in their fighting styles and tell them how to correct them mid-fight 😆. Sorry, this went long (my info-dumping got the better of me again). I just like the idea that since the villains do have these complex motivations and goals, they would have complex characterization that would generate complex feelings about them both to the characters and the readers.
No worries, I loved reading this!
You did get a couple of things right actually XD

So based on the tweets from Miraculous Mexico, it seems that Chat being sidelined isn't actually leading to anything and his story is just being with the Agrestes. She also pretty much confirmed Ladybug doesn't want to tell Chat her identity due to Chat Blanc
I think I know what tweet you’re talking about, but just in case I’ll cover two tweets that come to mind. And no matter which one it is, I don’t really take it that way at all!
(Post under cut because this is a long one lmao)
The translation of the first tweet and the question it was in response to reads as such:
“a doubt feri! Will Ladybug and chat no longer be a duo? I mean ... now that alya has the miraculous forever ... now, when there is an akuma, will the three always be there? if yes, I cry :(“
“They will always be a duo, it is just people jumping into tragedy at the slightest change, as usual xD”
“Serious question for you to realize how unfounded your fears are.... Did you see Alya help in Furious Fu? And in Guiltrip? And in Sole Crusher and in Queen Banana? XD And who was in the 4 despite of his duration on stage? Yes. Cat Noir. :3”
“People forget that Marinette was touched by what happened in Chat Blanc. She doesn't know how it happened, but she was left with the idea that they should NEVER know their identities. Alya fills a gap that Chat can't (help her as a civilian too or if something happens to her) but Chat will always be # 1.”
Feri’s response to the question does NOT say that Chat isn’t intentionally being sidelined, it is rather a reassurance that him and Ladybug are still a duo and will not become a team with Rena. In fact, Feri acknowledges Chat Noir’s minimized run time with the phrase “despite his duration on stage”. So I don’t think this tweet is saying that Chat being sidelined wont lead to anything, and is rather just reassuring he will always be there, that RENA ROUGE IS NOT REPLACING HIM, and that he and ladybug will still primarily work as a duo.
As for the 2nd tweet you may be talking about, which I’m going to assume IS the one that you’re talking about, it translates as:
“It is difficult to explain. While Ladybug is the focus for her role as guardian now, Adrien is an important part of the overall plot. Anything that involves the Agrestes will involve Adrien, but his story is subtle. You have to catch the clues.”
“His story is subtle, you have to catch the clues”
If anything in this season is going to lead to Adrien boiling over in frustration, I take this tweet as saying that the factors that lead to this breakdown wont be explicitly made clear to us right away. And Feri is right, it’s not explicit!
Everything the fandom notices in regards to Adrien’s isolation this season is subtle, is in clues: Us getting less and less transformations on his behalf, the sad look on his face that he hid from ladybug after he wasn’t needed in Optigami, the visual isolation of him being in a cage in Sole Crusher, him not joining Marinette on the walk because of his father, alongside many, many more examples. None of these can be considered “explicit”, and yet the fandom picks up on these. His story is being told to us subtlety.
But yeah, I hope what I said made sense! I’ve seen a lot of people saying Feri’s tweets disprove people’s theories that Adrien/Chat’s isolation is intentional, but I really really don’t think that’s the case!
And yes, I’m REALLY glad we finally have official confirmation that MARINETTE IS STILL AFFECTED BY CHAT BLANC!!!! GUYSSSS WHY ARENT MORE PEOPLE TALKING ABOUT THIS?
Anyway yeah, that’s all! Hope I gave ya the far fetched clownery you wanted anon

First of all, I'm really flattered to hear that you find my silly writing fun! Tbh I always assume that my partner for that thread is the only one who reads the replies, also bc I know that most people follow me for muses that are not my primary ones 😅 So this was such a nice compliment to read as first thing in the morning!
We had a thread with Blitzo and Fizz, but it must have gotten lost somewhere 🤔 Well, no harm done! I'm totally willing to start a new one! Among your HH/HB muses, the ones I could see Blitzo interacting with the more are Fizz, Stolas & Asmodeus, but I'm open to considering other combos!
Aside from that, since you said that you're open to any sort of combo, I'll spill out a few ideas I have on my own! Ofc you're free to cross them out if you don't like them, if you don't agree! ^^ no pressure!
Adrien / Cat Noir and Logan / Wolverine are a genius idea! I would have never thought of that, but damn, they could be a lot of fun to write! That's definitely one combo I'd love to test out
Staying in the Miraculous area, I think it could be interesting to try and put Félix and Harley in the same room xD Or Adrien and Cyborg 🤔
I write Ivy, so she could work with your superhero muses too, starting from Harley, but also Logan, Megamind, Doc Oc, Clark.
Mabel could work very well with all your TOH muses! Also because, from what I'm to understand, the two universes are linked. And I could see her befriending your OC Kuro too. Also Bill and Sebastian would make a hilarious crack duo xD or Bill and the Collector!
Speaking of Kuro, he and Morty could make a good pair of friends too!
Also, I think that Shi (your demonic doctor) would be a good fit for either Evil Rick or Rick Prime x3
Also for my RnM muses, they could easily cross paths with pretty much everyone, but if I had to pick which combos would be easier: Rick and Morty with Rocket, AR with Rocket, Mercenary Rick with Avocato, Summer with Vi, Rick with Eda and Morty with Gus. I wouldn't be opposed to Summer and Morty running into Kisshu either.
These are some possible ideas I thought of while scrolling through your muse list. But I'm always open to more suggestions!
⭐ ?
multimuse meme, accepting!
oh hello there, it's been a while! trust me, i may or may not have been spying on your threads on dash juussssst a little bit, but it's only because they're really fun reads. now, let's get going with these interactions here.
honestly, i'm not too familiar with rick and morty, but that doesn't mean i'm not against interacting with your muses from it, i'll happily do some threads with them. same with your blitzo, he's more than welcome to bother the rest of my helluva/hazbin muses. there's even potential with adrien too with my super hero muses, wolverine could be a fun one, young hero with an older more grumpy mentor? it could work. there's a lot more possibilities than i originally thought!

What I assume will happen:
CN: why didn’t you give Marinette a Miraculous so she can be Multimouse?
LB: she gave away her identity. So it’s not safe.
CN: half the heroes have been exposed at some point. Do you just not like Marinette?
LB: ….Yes. She’s dating the guy I used to like. Adrien Agreste.
CN: *dies from Ladrien*
Pffft XD. We were sadly bereft of Ladrien this season.

(nsfw kinda?) what would the twins do if they went to a party and then woke up next to someone after you-know-what and realize its s/o g/n? would they be shocked? scared? also remeber to drink water and get good sleep!
The irony boo is that I'm doing neither of those things lol-
But something I will do it's your request! It sounds really fun, boo!
I'm sorry this isn't better- I wish I could try this concept again on a full fledged fanfic but I'm not feeling the right mood yet, I think I would half-ass it because of that.

Surprise slumber party [Yandere!Bully OCS x GN!Reader - Headcanon]:
→ Adrien Coldwell:
Ya know, the twins are known for bringing different people to sleep with them, normally just so they could have a one time fun with them and then leave- But this time it seems to be very different.
Adrien can't remember what happened the day before but after looking around and analysing his clues he has come to the conclusion that A: This is not the Coldwell mansion and B: HOLY SHIT why the FUCK are YOU sleeping next to them?-
Normally they tend to not care for who is sleeping next to them, just assuming that the warmth that comes from the body next to them is just another toy- Someone who is worth enough to sleep with them, but also not high enough in their standards to be considered a romantic partner.
But you?? You're not just a mere toy to them, you fool.
It's obvious that you two spent the night together in someone else's house, probably a friend of the twins. This confuses Adrien to no end, how were even invited to the party in the first place?? How did a loser like you get in here and how did a loser like you slept with him- YOU SLEPT WITH HIM, OH MY GOD-
Did you two… If you two really did fuck then why can't he remember anything?? This was supposed to be the most important memory in the moment yet he can't recall how you two ended up like this.
It's not his imagination either, there seems to be enough proof to support that you two did something together, but he can't tell how far it went- He wishes he could remember how it was.
Your body, naked next to him- Love bites that seem to be his on doing (he fucking hopes it's his on, or we're going to have a problem-), there doesn't seem to be any other marks- It wasn't rough and ruthless like he normally is with you, well, outside this scenario. Sounds like the perfect time that he can't. Fucking. Remember.
How inconsiderate. He can't even remember what he had imagined doing for so long. Maybe the memories will come back soon enough, he hopes they do.
Could you still remember? Probably not, you seem to be more unconscious than him- But he does hope you remember how it was, how HE was, was it like how he imagined- Was it how you imagined?
"- … Did you ever think about doing this with him at all? Was it- Was it actually love and not just-"
He is more confused than anything else, it was a very pleasant surprise but also so frustrating how he couldn't remember exactly how it went- Some parts seem to be coming back but not the whole scene, and in a foolish attempt at regaining his memories, he tries to redo his actions as his hand tries finding its way around your body once again-
If you wake up right now, you'll see the most confusing mixture of feelings into one single expression: fear, lost, yet an look of pure wonder- The scene before him is beautiful but the fact that only a couple of moments seem to play in his head makes him feel lost and fearful of what you might think of him.
Right now he feels so vulnerable, regretful that he couldn't have done this sooner- Sounds of last night echo through his mind. No one entered in this room except you two, and it's still really early in the morning so he can just go back and enjoy this moment- After all, what could be the best way to celebrate this moment if not by savouring his victory?
He finally got you by his side in the most intimate way possible and finally you can see that you belong to him- He won. He finally won...
→ Alexandra Coldwell:
Ya know, the twins are known for bringing different people to sleep with them, normally just so they could have a one time fun with them and then leave- But this time it seems to be very different.
Alexandra can't remember what happened the day before but after looking around and analysing her clues she has come to the conclusion that A: This is not the Coldwell mansion and B: HOLY SHIT why the FUCK are YOU sleeping next to them?-
Normally they tend to not care for who is sleeping next to them, just assuming that the warmth that comes from the body next to them is just another toy- Someone who is worth enough to sleep with them, but also not high enough in their standards to be considered a romantic partner.
But you?? You're not just a mere toy to them, you fool.
It's obvious that you two spent the night together in someone else's house, probably a friend of the twins.
Which by the way- How dare you?? Who invited you? Who allowed a loser like you inside this party in the first place?? Did you come with someone else- wait- why are you- WHY IS SHE NAKED?? Why are you BOTH NAKED??? Alexandra feels embarrassed as she can't remember how you two came to be in this position in the first place.
If you two really- Well, fucked- How can she not recall it?? Why can't she remember every single detail from last night?? It was supposed to be "the moment" yet she can only get a couple of scenes inside her head.
It's not a coincidence, it can't be! You two wouldn't be sharing a bed like this unless… No, it's clear that it happened- But why can't she just- Argh! How stressful, YOU are so stressful. You make her go to cloud nine every time she sees you yet she can't even remember if she made you pay for making her feel so- Bashful…
Look at you, naked and… A-And filled with stretch marks- It's clear that she used your body as a canvas for her sharp nails, yet they clearly don't look as painful as her other "victims". Your soft skin looks just as delectable as it always does, but the context of what could have happened makes this scenario so much better- But she still can't remember what got you two to this point, how inconsiderate.
It's the moment she would dream off every night, yet only a couple of scenes and sounds seem to be appearing in her very foggy mind. Maybe later she'll remember how it all went down, but she still needs to know some very important details right now-
Was it… Fun? To you, that is- Was it, like she dreamed off? O-or maybe it was more like one of your dreams- Although she shouldn't expect you to have nice dreams about her, they're all probably nightmares…
Was she good to you like you are to her?
"- Was I sweet… like you are? Was this love or just…"
She feels ashamed more than anything else, now she can't even remember if she looked good while topping you (if she finds out she went bottom mode with you on your first night she'll commit "not living anymore"-). As she caresses your body in hopes of triggering her memory back she can't deny that you look really appetizing, like something she could just take another bite off but never feel satisfied- Or maybe like someone that she can love, and love and love again yet never feel bored of it.
Her expression would be one of- Well, embarrassment mixed with a look of worship- This is probably the most vulnerable she has felt in a long time, yet this is the first time she feels so close to someone, that's a part of her that wants to wake you up and try to show you how much she adores you all over again.
But right now she should control herself, it's already morning, it's a new day. There are probably lots of party guests around the house, and even if the door is locked she doesn't want anyone to know of this. Let her enjoy this alone with you, goddamnit.
She won… Can you believe that?? She won. She won, she won! After so long she finally has you here with her, and even if she can't tell what happened and how far it went, it is still pretty clear that after so long of you denying it- You have accepted it.
You have successfully accepted your place next to her, not only just in bed. This is perfect- This moment, it's perfect.
You are hers now- Always have been!...

Thoughts and Reaction to GLACIATOR 2
Watched it earlier but didn't have time to rewatch for a second time while I write a post up like usual, so it's a little late. Also a heads up, this is a really long post. Like insanely long. I'm so sorry, but this episode was PACKED. Wow, so right off the bat, if it wasn't for Chat Noir being distracting with his flirting in Oblivio.... Chat Noir wouldn't have been so hurt this episode. 😬 Actions have consequences, who knew it would be such a big one...
The flirting in Oblivio led to distracted Kitty who Ladybug was distracted by causing them both to get hit and lose their memories, which led to the kiss, which Alya took a picture of, which ended up all over the internet that was then used to push Ladynoir as Couple of the Year with said picture everywhere, which led Chat Noir thinking he could try his usual flirting distracting ways to sway her, which this time she wasn't going to let Oblivio happen again, so she threw him in the trash can (that she called his basket, kitty in a basket omg) to keep him from distracting her and putting himself in danger to take care of the villain herself. Which... does make him feel he's not as needed, but at the same time I don't blame her for needing to get him out of the fight. He should know better by now that it's really dangerous. Also super curious as to what got Glaciator akumatized at the beginning of this episode.... "What the heart has forgotten, ice cream remembers." Wait. If they got blasted, they wouldn't have remembered what happened in Oblivio... would they? Hmmm. Interesting concept. o.o "Wait, if we kiss, maybe we'll get our memories back?" Yeah okay, I totally see why she'd want to throw him in the trash bin. Not only because he's super distracted, but he knows where she stands on a relationship with him and to keep talking about kissing like that isn't cool. I don't blame him for wanting to keep trying - especially since in these forgotten memories they know they have that they were together to know it's very possible and was being talked about at that moment - but everything about that scene from the situation to the timing of it and what's going on just calls for him to be taken out of the fight at that point. Ladybug's anger at Glaciator because he keeps pushing Ladynoir 😂
*He sees her start to walk towards him, grimaces, then hides. 🤣 I absolute lost it when he was crying out jostling in that bin while she pulled him up onto the roof and threw him out. XD This Ladynoir scene gives me angry girlfriend vibes. Which... is exactly what she says she doesn't want, but come on. And here we go, a total 180. I went from laughing away to going OUCH POOR KITTY Marinette's sure getting super angry and defensive about everyone talking about Ladynoir as a couple or assuming that they had been one. I get it can be irritating, but this is even worse than when she got all upset when she thought Chat Noir moved on so easily from Ladybug to Marinette. Adrien: Nobody can help me Kagami. Uh huh, we'll see about that. :D But really, he started to cry and had to contain his pain long enough to get out of the car so he could deal with it before going home. x.x Adrien's breaking my heart this episode. As soon as Adrien sat down, I said "This is where the akuma usually comes" expecting it to just cut to another kind of scene, and then it cut to Shadow Moth's lair. Which I wasn't actually expecting to happen! And because I was watching with my sister and said that, I missed Adrien's sobbing the first time. Rewatching it again, I get to hear it, headphones and all. That absolutely BROKE ME. To think I'll be hearing the English dub of it later... ugh. "Immense disappointment doubled in guilt." Which are really awful, but notice he doesn't mention heartbreak? At least our boy's heart wasn't broken and he still had hope deep down! Marinette: I want to pay to remove the billboards of Ladynoir! I love how Marinette walks by whistling and he's just so curious about what she's doing that it took him away from his thoughts. xD Also, I guess it makes sense with everything going on with Adrien at that time, but not once did he stop to consider that the boy she was talking about was him, when she literally just saw him, acted all nervous and jumbled, and gave him a gift she just so "happen" to have to cheer him up. I thought the gift scene was real until the pink bubbles. Then I was like "DANG IT, NOT AGAIN!!" She's like "NO WRONG GIFT! *yeets potter's wheel into trash like she yeeted Chat Noir into the trash earlier* It's not the ideal gift!" "It's a shame, a really beautiful potter's wheel..." BOY THEN TAKE IT, IT'S FROM MARINETTE :D "It's place is in the trash with the other things that are better to forget." Wow it's a good thing he doesn't know Marinette is Ladybug because that would hurt way more than that comment already did. "Ending up in the trash, I see..." well he was feeling a bit better temporarily, anyway. Gabriel? Being a good father for once without selfish motives and asks how he is, also wanting him to know that if he needs to talk, he can come to him? Whoa, what's going on :O Usually French Plagg gets on my nerves but he was adorable in this episode. x3 "I don't want to live like my father! A prisoner of a memory that is no longer! Wow. This really hits deep on a personal level. I love that Kagami pulled up seeing that Marinette's talk with Adrien didn't go well and had to step in. I was wondering where Kagami's sudden interesting choice of words was coming from when usually that kind of talk is more Marinette's thing. Never ever would've guessed the reason we got such awesome Marichat today was because of Kagami. "Find someone you don't have feelings for. You can practice your seduction technique on that person without your emotions bothering you!" "...Isn't that a little bit weird?" "At least it's less weird than what you normally do!" I...I can't 🤣🤣🤣 "This method is a proven method; there are even books about it!" Me, thinking she means actual books with studies backing it up, because she's Kagami: 🤡 "Okay, but what if the person who I'm telling it to falls in love with me?!" 👀 Oh. I smell the foreshadowing from this part of their conversation. Also I totally love their friendship. It's sad that when she's with Adrien, she just completely irks me but when she's with
Marinette, it's like she's a different, more likeable person. When it's the three of them together I think it's cute too. Remember Marinette wanting to pay to remove the billboards? Chat Noir: We won't stop until we have deleted all traces of my love for Ladybug! (You know the reason he's doing it is because his guilt about how Ladybug's feeling seeing the pictures, rather than him not wanting to see the picture himself. Even though it makes him sad.) Also poor Plagg, there were 11 billboards just in that one shot alone. :/ "Chat Noir! He's the ideal candidate! There is no way for him to fall in love with me! Well, the other me, yes! But not the real me!" Again with the foreshadowing! How many times are they going to hint at Chat Noir falling in love with Marinette in this episode? Tikki observing how weird it is that he's out there without an akuma and she's just like OH WELL seems normal enough to me! CHAT NOIR! MINOUMINOUMINOUMINOU 🤣🤣🤣 "Is there a problem?" "No, but I do need something from you... I just need a lover." Chat Noir: A lover?! O.O *Weredad flashbacks* NOPE I'M OUT Listening to her explain and him saying he doesn't love anyone, I could hear a faint siren in the background. What interesting detail :O "Dear Chat Noir..." "Marinette, sorry I feel honored, but like I told you I'm in love with no one at all." Lies but you're trying, poor boy. "Yes, of course, but I'm not talking to you, but to my lover who isn't my lover yet!" Right. She's not talking to you, but to her lover, who happens to be you. But neither of you know that yet, so it's not to you. 🥴 "Ah, I understand! But since you said Chat Noir, I thought you were talking about me." Oh but Chat, the first thing she said was it was supposed to be directed at the guy she likes, which she's said isn't you. You mistake that she likes you here, but in other situations you deny it? Aw boy. "What's the name of your lover?" "That's private!" "Well that's not really helpful." omg were you hoping to help her if you knew the guy, Kitty? "Okay then. Buttercup." "*laughs* Wait, his name is Buttercup?" "Of course not! It's not his real name, it's a code name! *pushes him to sit down*" oh dear she's already getting frustrated lol LOL he can't get over the codename Buttercup. 🤣 Also now I can't help but wonder if he's going to find out that Buttercup = Adrien and then he'll know what that means and freak out. Back in school, I had a codename for the guy I liked who unfortunately popped up at times silently without me knowing he was there. Somehow he found out what his codename was, either he figured it out or someone told him. His method of letting me know he knew was absolutely brilliant and entertaining but I was so beyond embarrassed and I never spoke of it again. For entertainments sake, it'd be hilarious if Adrien found out. But for Marinette's sake I sure hope he doesn't think or learn about it until after they're together. *music cuts off, Mariette's eyes go wide...*
It doesn't matter how many times I see this face, I burst into laughter. What the actual heck, Adrien! "What's going on, are you hurt somewhere?" 🤣 "Oh no! It's only my serious face." WHAT KIND OF A SERIOUS FACE IS THAT, YOU LOOK HORRIBLE. Seriously, you're either bursting into laughter giggling at "Buttercup" or you're looking like you can't stand the person that's speaking to you. Is there no in between, Adrien? *interrupts for the forth time* Sorry Marinette, but what face do you want me to make? IDK MAYBE ONE THAT ISN'T DISTRACTING AND INTERRUPTING HER EVERY TWO SECONDS. "But you said-" "Oh yes! I know, but what you feel isn't important! Because I'm the one who's training! Act like you are interested a bit in me! It never hurts to be interested in others from time to time!" Okay so like... in this context, her saying "act like" implies in a romantic way, right? Then her saying it never hurts to be interested in others from time to time... so is that yet another hint he's going to take from her to be interested in someone else? 🤔 "Dear BUTTERCUP!" oh the frustration. *Chat Noir interrupts yet again* I mean. I can see why Ladybug loses her patience with him, I'm so sorry. 😂 "You didn't let me finish." "I know, but the way you open your mouth is so moving. *launches into descriptive in-love language*" "Ugh, it's too much now. 😑" It's always been too much, Marinette. It took Chat Noir saying it to you to realize? xD *Marinette starts again, Chat Noir starts to interrupt yet again* "WHAT NOW?!" "Well, this time I'm under the impression that you are madder at me, than in love with me!" Gee, I wonder why. 😂 I've actually lost count at how many times you've interrupted her! 5? 6? Well, Chat Noir delivering those lines sure showed her up. And showered her how bad they sound. XD "Let's take a break. *simultaneously suggests going to the cinema*" Are you... are you two serious right now? The movies? You know, that in this show has been used almost exclusively as the place couples (or unrequited lovers end up hoping for something more) go to? And you both just thought that'd be a good idea for some reason? Oh you adorable dorks. The way Marinette looks at him when she knows he doesn't know it's Ladybug/when he's out of sight is just... girl why. Why do you have to do this to yourself. FRIENDS DON'T LOOK AT FRIENDS THAT WAY. No romance, no superheroes. Let's watch this sci-fi/fantasy type film! *has romance anyway* It always be like that, huh.
Chat looks genuinely sad. Marinette just looks done with everything. xD The facial expressions and body language in this episode are absolute GOLD. I've never stopped to look and laugh at so many in a single episode before. Marinette talks about how saving the world is easier (or ahem, must be easier) than telling someone you love them, you just use the Miraculous Ladybug and what's broken is fixed. Because once you do tell someone you love them, and it doesn't work out and they don't love you back, "The cataclysm is in your heart and Miraculous Ladybug can't fix it." Wow, that's deep. I love how she's opening up to him and explaining how she gets around guys when she likes them. That's good info for him to know later. Chat Noir: "I also like hamsters-" Random theater guy: "And I like to watch movies in silence!" EXCUSE ME DUDE. I'D LIKE TO HEAR THAT CONVERSATION. I'VE WAITED SINCE SEASON 2 FOR HER TO FIND OUT THAT CN OR ADRIEN LIKE HAMSTERS AND YOU INTERRUPTED THAT, HOW DARE YOU! THAT'S THE HERO(es) OF PARIS YOU'RE YELLING AT. That could've been the conversation where we could've found out the name of what she wants her hamster to be! 😤 His baton had an umbrella built in. Who knew! But look how much effort they put in to giving us an umbrella scene with these two. When they get to her house it stopped raining. Very purposeful, very meaningful! "It's funny, because I'm the opposite of you." Ahh yes, that Yin and Yang at play. "I wish I could love someone else, but it's impossible." Nothing's impossible! Especially when the girl you love is right next to you and you don't even know it. Not sure how things will go with this, but this episode sure hinted at him potentially falling for Marinette an awful lot. "And now because of that, she hates me!" "She doesn't hate you, Chat Noir!" "Today she threw me in a rubbish bin!" It was purely to keep him under control, he was being a distraction during an attack and a distraction is dangerous. "You're a good Kitty, I know that you will find a solution." As she takes his arm ahhhh. And ooh, see now this makes me curious as to what this means. What's he going to do? Andre, it's okay! You're not wrong, Ladybug and Chat Noir really are meant for each other. She isn't even being romantic with him and they're talking about Ladybug. This is why it's bad to assume! "Thank you for traveling Air Chat Noir. We're hoping to see you again very soon!" Oh? 👀 You're hoping to see Marinette soon huh? Ngl was a bit disappointed that it was a goodbye kiss, but that was the most natural goodbye kiss these two have had so that's really nice. Also interesting how the main akumatization (not when the episode starts, or an almost akumatization) in the episode happens with 5 minutes left in the episode. That's an unusual turn of events. OOPS Ladybug was so peeved at Chat Noir's antics that she didn't give Andre the lucky charm. See, those distractions are dangerous!! "Glad to see you again! Uh, my dear friend that I respect! And for whom I don't feel anything except an honest and uninterested friendship!" "Are you making fun of me?" LOL these lines! But actually, the "glad to see you again!" caught my attention in the way that, well, it sounds like he wasn't expecting to see her again at least for awhile? An akuma just showed up so that's really interesting, she doesn't flake on akumas. Then when you know Hack-San takes place after this and that's a whole other thing and makes so much sense for his behavior in that. x.x Lucky Charm! *actual car crashes down* But wow, she came up with her plan based on memory of something somewhere else in the city. That's amazing :o *screams out the sports car window that he's driving at 14 years old* STOP IT WE'RE JUST FRIENDS"
Excuse me. But I'm pretty sure this is not a "Oh yes, we're just friends!" look. Ladybug sees his efforts already. But what's he going to think if he catches you look at him like that one day, hm? When these two go to get their licenses, watch them both get it with ease. That's so impressive. Chat Noir threw himself out a speeding sports car. O.O I get he has the suit but NO FEAR. "Good riddiance (aw :c)! I am ready m'lady! Uh, it doesn't bother you if I call you m'lady?" "No, no problem! You know, if I tell you something is bad then stop and that's it, it's simple!" I mean she's right, it really is that simple. A lot of people could keep this in mind about a lot of things 😛 Everyone over here wondering how she's going to throw an entire car in the air. Ladybug: Duh, I'm just going to throw the car keys, that's all I need to do! We probably should've realized from episodes where she's only thrown part of a lucky charm into the air lol. xD Chat Noir: welp bye Ladybug, I still need to help Marinette! Who would've thought we'd have an episode where Chat leaves Ladybug to go see Marinette instead. 😂 Ladybug: yeah well, I need to get home before you get there so I better go too. "What's wrong is that doesn't sound like me." Yeah no, these attempts have never sounded like you! But this one: "The day we first met... I judged you badly. I found you pretentious and superficial. And I got to know you better, I saw who you truly were inside. Someone gentle, honest, and generous! And ever since then, I've been trying to tell you something! (Except every time I try, it's like my brain is breaking!) 🤦But this time, I think I'm ready! I love you." 100% authentic Marinette, super meaningful and deep, it made Chat Noir go from smiling to an expression that was touched, even though it wasn't meant for him. And them telling each other that anyone would be lucky to love them hahaha come on guys, wake up! "MARINETTE?!" "AH, that's my dad!" Chat Noir: Lol NOPE not again! Adrien's in a much better mood now, which is wonderful! And I see you over there adorable DJWifi. Marinette getting kidnapped by Kagami Part 2. "Did you do what I told you?" "Partially, I didn't get to the end but-" omg what was the end? o.O You already said "I love you", what else was there to cover? Using his name? Darn it Tom, why'd you have to interrupt and scare Chat off! "Perfect, I was worried because it's a risky technique!" well girl why'd you suggest it then? 😂"While training with a guy, you might fall in love with him..." I mean... is this the foreshadowing of her really starting to fall for Chat Noir? Did this episode really give us numerous examples of possible Ladynoir/Adrienette/Marichat verbally announcing to the audience reciprocating feelings for each other in the future? Kagami: Proven methods that work to seduce a boy. Also Kagami: I didn't finish volume 3 of the manga I got the idea from to know if it was a good idea, but I just learned it's risky because you could fall in love with the boy you practiced confessing to. Well. I mean, because of all that, Chat Noir's in a better place, which means Adrien's in a better place and will be changing how he expresses his feelings. And Marinette realized that her method of expressing her feelings is wrong, too. All from a manga. Who knew? 😂 "I thought you gave up on Ladybug." "Marinette opened my eyes! In fact, with her I always play my role of being Chat Noir!" OHHHHHHHHH. That's big right there! He's saying he's really comfortable with and feels like he can be himself with her, and he now knows and acknowledges it! {✔️} Marinette's super important to him and he'll do anything to make her happy. {✔️} He'll always be there to protect Marinette, having shown he'd even sacrifice himself for her. {✔️} He feels the most comfortable when he's around Marinette. Hmmmm. What does that sound like? I wonder.... 🙃 "Maybe if I show Ladybug who I truly am, she'll fall in love with me." She already knows you as Adrien and loves you, so yeah, that'll do it! I wonder if at that point she'd figure it out
who they are by piecing it together. If she's not going to have to find out who Chat is first, that is. Also Plagg is so done with this. I don't blame him, that's got to be beyond frustrating knowing.
Probably my favorite ending card to date. Very simple, but a lot of meaning in this! Ladrien looking at each other, Marichat being back to back (and super close that it looks almost cuddly lol you dorks) while Ladynoir faces each other and Adrienette faces each other, but not really looking into each others eyes. Very interesting! This was an insane episode, so much to observe and take in from it. I also really hurt in this episode because of Adrien's pain, but laughed a crazy amount from it too. It felt very rounded and great, I absolutely loved it! Maybe it was for the best we got this episode right before Ephemeral. To soften the blow that sounds like is coming. Woo, I'm not ready! :D
