I’m glad to be following a fellow lover of Adrien suffering. You’re right, his crashout will be magnificent. I already have front row seats. What sort of breaking point do you see for him? He can carry quite a bit on his shoulders and wears a mask so well. It’s got to be a lot

First of all, thank you- im glad you found the right page!! I love my boy and as such love to see him suffer 🫶

As per your question, I think finding out about his father + him being a senti will obviously kickstart the crashout, but I don’t think it’s talked about enough just how much Marinette having known/ lying to him will send him over the edge. We are about to get levels of Adrien crashout we haven’t seen before and couldn’t fathom getting.

Like, most of the times we’ve seen Adrien get mad in the show it’s been due to secrets being kept from him. Every time Ladybug has left him in the dark (ESPECIALLY in season 4). Having to keep their identities a secret (something he’s been shown to hate no matter how much he tried to be okay with it). Yes, Adrien wears his heart on his sleeve and so keeping anything a secret is already hard, but I think another factor in his hate for secrets that goes underlooked is that he probably knows he was kept in the dark about a lot of things involving his mom while she was sick. He knows he was hidden from a lot of what his father was doing whenever he went out for long periods of time. He knows how much people try to keep him oblivious for his protection, and the damage it can do. And he hates it.

Also, need I remind you all that in both the timelines Adrien finds out about his father being hawkmoth, he’s been akumatized. And in Chat Blanc in particular, it was heavily due to the feeling of being torn between the girl he loves and his father. Now imagine a scenario where he finds out his dad was hawkmoth, the wish he was after was (initially) to bring his mom back, he’s a sentimonster and his mom died creating him, Natalie was Mayura, and not ONLY did EVERYONE in his life lie to him about it/ keep him in the dark…. Marinette, the girl he loves, encouraged them to continue to leave him in the dark after the fact (this is assuming he finds out post reveal btw lol). Of course, she didn’t do it maliciously, and in large part chose to due to his father’s manipulation and because she thought she was doing what was best, but STILL. Imagine how torn Adrien is going to feel. How much he’s going to want to understand and does understand how difficult of a decision it must’ve been, but also it’s another person he loves that not only kept him in the dark, but explicitly lied to him, when he thought he could trust her more than anybody. I love Marinette with everything in me, and I completely understand why she did what she did, but I think we (as well as her by this point) all know she FUCKED UP BIG TIME, and it’s going to CRUSH Adrien like nothing we’ve seen before.

All of what Adrien has left to find out is already beyond crashout worthy, but the added level of secrecy, which targets a large part of his key character values (openness, honesty, vulnerability, autonomy,) is going to absolutely shatter him. And honestly…. I’m SAT.

WE ARE NO LONGER GETTING ‘REVELATOR’ VIA DISNEY CHANNEL NEXT SATURDAY, MEANING THAT (FOR NOW) THERE IS NO NEW EPISODE PREMIERE IN THE NEAR FUTURE!

Next Saturday Feb 22nd we were supposed to get episode 11, Revelator, via Disney Channel USA, but it’s disappeared from their schedule! (Source)

As you can see, not only is it gone, but there’s no new episode listed at all in the usual time slot anymore. Additionally, Gloob announced that the episode they’re airing this Friday is the Portuguese dub for Daddycop, so for now… it’s looking like we might not get an episode premiere this weekend or next :( Let’s see what happens though! Gloob usually announces their new premieres on Fridays, and this is the 2nd time Disney Channel USA has changed the schedule for next Sat, so that clearly means that things are always changing! I’ll be on the lookout + keep y’all in the loop.

It's not like Sabrina and Adrien were the only two characters who had yet to change there appearance this season. And it was only after Sabrina was able to understand her identity and her self-worth outside of Chloe that she was able to "unlock" a new look for herself.

IT'S NOT LIKE ADRIEN has been stuck in understanding himself only through those around him. Or that he's been trapped in his father's shadow since day one. Never worthy of being around. but always expected to hold up the expectations of being Gabriel Agreste's son.

IT'S NOT LIKE we have been TEASED and INFORMED through every. single. episode. of. this. season. That Adrien is lost, that he is struggling to understand himself and his identity. That we have yet to really see how Adrien, who hates change, is processing everything in his life changing.

IT'S NOT LIKE Adrien is gathering new people to fill his life and occupy the space his father's death created. Because he doesn't know how to grieve. he was never allowed to. And he doesn't know how to grieve his father when he's been grieving him his whole life.

IT'S. NOT. LIKE. Adrien puts on the same clothes his father picked out for him. Not willing to make the choice to iron them, but instead passively going through the motions of just putting them on. Simultaneously not really making a choice for himself but also somehow making the choice to remain his father's pet

I know all of these were due to plagg lol but I’m glad they’re letting my boy be over the top goofy again in his civilian form ‼️

Real Adrien heads know he was always silly lol, but a lot of his little mannerisms and expressions that were more prevalent when rewatching season one got covered up with blank faced Adrien sweetness in later seasons and, while it did help further emphasis the control Gabriel had over him (wink wink), and the thousand yard soft eyes stare is still very Adrien, I’m glad he’s back to letting his goofy ass self shine through!! he is cringe fail like his gf and they are showing it again bless up 🫶

(While we’re on the topic though, I also hope a lot of his sarcasm and wit that he had back then comes back as well! He was a diva in season one let us see that again!!)

Can't stop thinking about Emilie Agreste telling her son "Of course your father loves you, he's just busy looking for things that are very important." Her son who would go on to say "He's just very protective of me." Did he get that from her? Did she say that to him too? Did it ever hurt her to tell him things like that, considering that her parents had prioritized other things over her, and her father too was controlling? Did she ever spend hours staring at the mirror only to see her mother staring back, making the exact same excuses for the exact same absent father's skewed priorities? When she was sick, did she look at Nathalie and Adrien and not just think that she could be a mother to him once she's gone, but that she might even be a better one?

Surprise to no one, Gloob is once again airing an Unknown new episode next Friday, Feb 14th!

Since we won’t know which episode this is until Wednesday (as usual), I’ve listed the premiere as ‘unknown’ in the airdates post, but there’s something important to note! Since Disney Channel USA is premiering ‘Daddycop’ tomorrow, there’s a good chance Gloob will just end up premiering it again during this slot, meaning next week might not be a ‘new’ episode at all but rather just the rerelease of Daddycop in Portuguese. Hopefully this isn’t the case though and we get another new episode instead (and double hopefully it’s Climatiqueen, aka EPISODE ONE 😭), but I’ll keep you guys updated!

On Friday we’re getting an Adrien centric episode with Agreste lore and family drama and sentimonster shenanigans and a shit ton of tension (the akuma being in the RINGS????? ADRIEN IS IN FUCKING DANGER?????) as well as Gabriel’s slimy ass presence probably being felt heavily throughout the entire thing as he continues to haunt the narrative this is the best weekend for me maybe ever.

(Also- can we talk about how Adrien might take note from his punk grandparents on new fashion inspired ideas….. I’m just saying)
