※ I go by canon divergent for certain material like WS games and ▽, as example. By the way, I'd like to go by what was said by my friend Shiha when it comes to canon and non-canon stuff.

→ I don’t ship human/digimon, adult/minor, incest and I might block if you ship it. I multiship things though! Each verse with multiple muses can have different relationships (platonic, romantic, family, rivals, enemies, etc??) -- but i don't write sm/ut.

→ I'm OC, AU, Canon Divergent and Crossover friendly, but I'd like to know your muses first. [check the crossover list for stuff I have minimal knowledge about btw!]

→ Pre-stabilished relationships are only for canon relationships. Your OCs will have to be introduced to my muses first, or plotted beforehand. Non-canon ships also must be plotted beforehand, sorry. I'm really picky about that. If you don't ship a canon ship, let me know beforehand so I can avoid writing pre-stabilished romantic relationships with you.

→ I don't expect anyone with canon characters to follow the storylines/plotlines I post (or reblog) in this blog. You're free to disagree with them as you wish; however If you like them and want to join them, feel free to ask me first! And yes, I can change parts of these verses/plotlines to accommodate you and your headcanons, just let me know first!

→ Our portrayals of the same muse may differ, and that's okay. Don't expect me to write the same muse like you and vice-versa (I feel uncomfortable when people do that).

※ If you feel unsure about your own portrayals, please remember that even the canon material has different portrayals of a character because it was written by multiple people. I may block if someone comes to "teach" me or anyone else how to write my or their muses. I have had bad experiences with this in the past, and now I vouch for everyone's right to write their muses/AUs/ships the way they want, even if I disagree with them.

→ Feel free to drop threads, but let me know please. If I want to drop a thread I'll let you know. No hard feelings though! We can always make a brand new one.

※ Communication is the key -- I'm awkward when reminding people about threads because I don't want them to think I'm rushing them. And I'll admit I'm paranoid and had issues with people ghosting me in the past so it makes me a bit nervous with couples or multimuses that are not full digimon-only OR multi muses from friends. If you feel uncomfortable with anything I said or had done, please TELL ME. I'd like to apologize and solve things peacefully. Hi I'm Ni (She/They; 20↑), I love Digimon in general, but the series I work with more is the OG Adventure series. I'm Ace/Panromantic, please use she/her or they/them pronouns. I'm a scaredy-cat kind of person who gets nervous and anxious at first, but once we start bonding I'll drop that and be more of myself. Also, I'm not good with people/communication, so sometimes I have meltdowns and have to step back for a while. Usually I'm either cooling off on a non-roleplaying blog or just hanging out on Discord. So please be patient with me during these times.

I love to learn new things, so please correct me if needed but without yelling at me because I kind of hate being yelled at, because I had bad personal life experiences in the past. My muses, despite some being quite closer to my personality are NOT me so please be aware of the differences between muse and writer.

I get super duper fired up when talking about the things I love the most. However I can be quite harsh and critical about said stuff as well. I tend to get a lot of brainstorms so if I’m messaging you that much please tell me and I will slow down my pace.

I also get excited when writing a thread, so I tend to reply hella quickly while I still have in mind what to say. Don’t rush me, but give me small reminders if I forget to reply since there’s a chance I actually forgot to or thought it was your turn when in fact I hadn’t replied in the first place.

I also draw. Like, a lot. Quite compulsive. Some of my non-canon-material icons are my own art. And I feel a bit uncomfortable by using other people’s fanart WITHOUT their permission. So yeah, I do my own doodled icons… When I get energy for those.

Birthday Among Family and Love

Tony Stark x OC (AU where Happy Hogan and Pepper Potts end up together) - Jodie has seen her crush Tony Stark feign happiness during his wild birthday parties. Five years ago, tenderness and vulnerability is shared and they almost kiss, being interrupted by Thor. Present day, she plans a surprise party while he’s at a wedding. More tenderness is shared and feelings are revealed.

My foot tapped impatiently against the dark hardwood floor waiting for Tony to leave for the wedding. I needed most of the day to prepare the compound for the celebration. Something he wasn’t aware of. A party for the birthday boy, which in this case happened to be Tony. I know what you might be thinking. This party would be huge.

Guests from all over the country would attend. They’d invite their friends and their friends would also invite their friends and so on. Bright lights and loud music would be seen and heard from miles away. It would be the talk of New York. Hell, the talk of the world. The extravagance of it would draw people in. Loads of money would be spent on him. He’d be showered in gifts.

What you’re expecting to happen…wouldn’t be the event you’re hoping for. I’d seen the extent of his typical parties, including the ones he usually threw for his birthday. They were wild, fun and given the right circumstances would involve a bit of nudity. Fun for everyone. Except him. Are you surprised? I bet. Every year I watched as he threw away money on lights, on food, on anything he wanted to make his guests happy. Including us, his family of Avenger friends.

I watched as he put on a huge smile and a flashy outfit to greet those guests. Watched as Tony made a grand toast with champagne and cake receiving lots of cheers when it came to an end. I saw him - when everyone turned their undivided attention to the party afterwards – slip away hours later. He disappeared onto one of the many private balconies, a somber expression on his face and it broke my heart. It didn’t help, either, that I had fallen in love with him. Though, I didn’t expect him to return my love.

I don’t think anyone noticed his disappearance. Like I said, they were too focused on the party to care about him. All those guests seemed to care about was what he gave to the world as Iron Man. I almost think they preferred the hero to the man. The man with a heart of gold. An Avenger who couldn’t seem to rest.

I’d been on the receiving end of his unhappiness one night. A night that brought clarity for him. I had wandered onto one of the balconies to catch a bit of fresh air away from the loud music and boisterous people. I had no idea it was the same one Tony took solace on.

“Are you enjoying the party?” he asked. His voice startled me, and I spun around in his direction; my hand clutched my chest in fright, relaxing when I saw him. There Tony stood, leaning against the railing; he looked out onto the city, taking in its beauty or watching over it, maybe both. He had taken off his suit jacket, his black vest and white button up shirt - rolled up to his elbows - remained. He had pulled out the shirt from his trousers; a more relaxed look from how he normally dressed.

“Jodie?” he questioned. I’d been too caught up taking him in, I failed to answer him. The moonlight on his features made him look handsome; more so than he already was.

“I…I am having fun if that’s what you’re asking. Thank you,” I answered.

“But? I sense a but coming,” My lips curled into a small smile. He knew me too well.

“But I was hoping it was going to be a small get together. Only the Avengers. Not a hundred people crammed into a small building,” I told him. Tony chuckled and shook his head.

“Everyone loves to come to my birthday parties. They’re so full of excitement and music and games. It’s the biggest event of the year. I’m surrounded by my friends. Who cares if they invite their friends as well?” he said, gesturing to the people gathered inside dancing to the music that played.

“You do. I think you care a lot,” I stated. The fake smile he held for the world to see – and one I had seen past – faded from his lips. He turned back to gaze at the moon and the stars. I went to stand beside him, placing a hand on his arm. I slid it down to lace my fingers with his. Nothing was meant by it – only a friendly gesture; a comfort shared between two close friends.

“It’s okay to want to be with those you love. Those who you love as well. I know you feel alone. I’m telling you that you are not alone. You’re never alone. You have us, you have me. I know these parties make you unhappy,” I said. The wind ruffled my hair, the strands coming to rest in the middle of my back.

“They love my reputation. Iron Man. If given the chance, they would never recognize the man under the suit. The real me. I don’t think they would care about him,” he paused to glance at me. “How is it you see everything? How do you know what I want? How can you stand to see the real Tony Stark?” he continued.

“It’s my job to see the things other people can’t. If I didn’t, then how could I protect the world? As for seeing the real you. Well, because he’s the one I love most. He’s proof that you have a real heart. You’re a good man with a heart of gold,” I answered. I leaned up to place a kiss on his cheek, one hand cupping his jaw. I felt the palm of his hand cover mine and I pulled back.

He tilted his head, leaning in, his lips mere inches from mine. I wanted to close the distance, to kiss him; only a breath away…

Loud banging from the sliding glass door made us both jump and break apart. We turned to see Thor with a goofy grin on his lips. He opened the door, loud music pouring outside, and stuck his head out the door to talk to us.

“Karaoke time! You promised to sing a duet with me Jodie. Everyone’s excited for the debut. Come back inside. Rejoin the party,” he said. He left the door open, walking away and leaving us alone once more.

“Jodie…” he began, but I shook my head. I cleared my throat, carding a hand through my blue-green hair, blinking back tears from my gray eyes.

“He’s waiting on me. On us. We should go back inside,” I said. I stepped back from Tony to keep from giving into my feelings and returned inside the compound. I didn’t notice Tony’s shift in stance, my heart hammering in my chest as I realized what could have occurred between us.

A hand covered my knee, distracting me from Tony. I looked up into the eyes of Steve Rogers.

“Calm down. He’s about to leave. Don’t give him a reason to stay longer than he should,” he said. I nodded and concentrated on relaxing my nerves. If Tony saw my nervousness, he might question it and try to comfort me; my big mouth could spoil everything I worked hard to conceal.

“Anybody need anything while I’m out? Cap? Jodie?” Tony asked, passing through the living room.

“No. We’re good here. Enjoy the wedding,” I said. He gave a thumbs up and left. I released a relieved sigh, getting up to start the preparations for the party.

“Who knew it would be Happy and Pepper getting married? I thought it would’ve been Tony and Pepper in the end,” Steve said. I shrugged, looking over the space in the living room. The party I had been reminiscing about happened five years ago. I managed to put the almost kiss out of my head for a few months, but my crush on him remained. A year later, my heart hurt when I learned he had gotten back together with Pepper Potts.

People gushed over the relationship, questioning when they’d get married, if they would have any kids; I kept to myself for six months, thinking the same. It would always be them…until it wasn’t. Apparently, things didn’t work out with them as she had ended things once more deciding she’d had enough. I’d been there for him following the heartbreak, still keeping my feelings hidden. Six months later, we learned Pepper had started seeing Happy Hogan, Tony’s bodyguard. To everyone’s surprise. I think it hurt Tony, but he only wanted the best for them. Today was their wedding and he would be preoccupied with it not expecting to come home to a party among friends.

“Is everything ready to go? The lights, the food, the drinks” I asked, ticking off the checklist in my head.

“Natasha and Wanda will be back from the store in twenty minutes. I’ve got Sam picking up the lights and Bucky’s getting the alcohol,” Steve said.

“Great. That’s great. What time will Clint be getting in? Thor, Bruce?”

“Clint said it should be another two hours before he arrives. Thor is grabbing…more like kidnapping Loki and Bruce should be here any minute with Rhodey,”

“Okay. Alright. Hmm. Want to help me move the furniture to seat everyone in here. Bring out a table to put the gifts on,” I said. We spent a half hour rearranging the sofas and chairs to be able to talk to each other without difficulty. A table was placed near the bar for gifts, another for the cake to be visible to all.

Wanda and Nat came in and unpacked the groceries for the feast; some homemade items to create a cozy atmosphere in the compound. An Italian meal – spaghetti Bolognese – would be the highlight of the dinner; Wanda’s chicken paprikash and Natasha’s stuffed mushrooms would be secondary to the evening. Steve wanted to make chocolate fudge brownies while I set out to make a red velvet cake, the ultimate dessert to the party.

Bucky was the next to arrive, toting two cases of alcohol; rum, bourbon, vodka, tequila and whiskey. He even picked up wine and beer in case someone preferred those to the other options. He lined them up on the bar for easy access later. Sam arrived next and I helped him hang the lights while waiting on the three layers of cake to cool.

“What time is Tony expected to come back?” Sam asked.

“Seven. Steve will be guarding the door, so he doesn’t walk in before we’re ready,” I replied.

“I smell chocolate,” a voice commented.

“Clint! You’re here,” Natasha shouted.

“Miss me? I saw Bruce and Rhodey on the way in,” Clint said, giving Nat a giant hug. Everything was going to plan even Thor and Loki’s arrival; though Loki appeared as if he was about to have teeth pulled.

“Lighten up mischief maker. It’s supposed to be a fun party,” I told him. He rolled his eyes at the nickname and went to stick his fingers in the frosting. I smacked his hand with the spatula making him blink in surprise.

“Ow,” he said, feigning pain in the limb.

“Please, it didn’t hurt you that much. Fingers out. You can have some after I’ve finished with the cake,” I said.

“My, you’re bossy this evening. Has something made you anxious? You’re usually not this frazzled,” he said, scowling.

“I’m sorry if I want everything to be perfect and I. Am. Not. Bossy,” I snapped. I narrowed my eyes at him. He only laughed at my outburst.

“I wish you would relax, Jodie. It’s going well so far,” Steve commented.

“So far. Don’t jinx it Rogers,” I warned.

“I still can’t believe Tony broke up with Pepper. I thought for sure he loved her. I guess not,” Natasha said, swiping some frosting before I could stop her. I spun the cake to cover it evenly, pausing when her words sank in.

“What do you mean he broke up with her? I thought she was the one who called it quits,” I said.

“No. As I understand it, Tony was the one who called the relationship off. Something about being-,” she answered, breaking off when Steve elbowed her in the ribs.

“Being what? Is there something you’re not telling me? Is there something more to the story? Oh, god, did someone cheat? It doesn’t seem like him. Not anymore, anyways,”

“No. Sorry. I misspoke. Nothing horrible happened. Don’t worry about it,” Natasha replied. She shot Steve an unreadable look and went to set up the plates and cups on the dining room table. Now I was suspicious. What weren’t they telling me? I finished frosting the cake, placing it on the designated table.

“Tony texted. He’s on the way back,” Steve said.

“Okay, good. Go to the entrance. Keep him from coming in. Hide, everyone. I’ll get the lights,” I ordered. Everyone hid behind sofas and counters; I switched off the lights surrounding us in total darkness. I got the text from Steve, which read Tony had pulled up to the compound. I texted Steve to bring him inside and waited for the sound of approaching footsteps.

“Why is it dark in here? Did we lose power?” I heard Tony ask. I hit the lights; everyone popped up and shouted, ‘Happy Birthday!’ Tony broke out in a huge smile and the party began. We plated food and sat around talking, letting go of the façade of being heroes. We were allowed to be ourselves, not the people the world expected us to be. Tony told us about the wedding and how he gave Pepper and Happy our well wishes. We laughed at the pranks Loki used to pull on Thor, listened as Clint told stories about his family.

As the night grew late and we had our fill of cake and brownies, we poured our drinks of choice and stretched out on the couches.

“I can’t being to tell you how great this has been. A quiet birthday with only us,” Tony said.

“Thank Jodie. She planned the entire thing,” Steve stated.

“Really? You did this?” Tony asked. Heat flushed my face as I nodded.

“I thought you might like it. To celebrate with a version of family. To be with those who care about you,” I explained. Tony smiled one of those special smiles reserved for us only. One that melted my heart, turning it to mush. He stood up, drink in the air.

“To Jodie,” he said. Everyone mimicked his actions. “To Jodie,” they called out. The heat grew more intense on my face. Tony sat back down, and we continued talking, eventually turning off the lights and settling for the ambience of the fireplace. One by one, each Avenger fell asleep curled up on the couches, until Tony and I were the only ones awake.

He angled his head to the balcony upstairs. I nodded my approval and followed him up there.

“Thank you for the exquisite evening,” he said. He slid the glass door closed.

“You’re welcome. I hope it was a good birthday,”

“The best. Who knew we had a talented group of crafters?” he replied. The gifts had ranged from wrist cuffs to beer steins, each one a unique style from each Avenger. There were some artists in the group; Wanda had impressed him with her quilting techniques. The only gift that hadn’t been opened yet was mine.

“I’ve saved the best for last,” I said, handing him a box. He opened it, revealing a picture of him glancing at the moon. He didn’t know it, but I had taken a picture that night five years ago. Before he had turned to face me. In the corner, I had a custom-made replica of his arc reactor but in photo form, which had our names circling around the center; the words “my family” were etched in the center of the reactor itself.

“I love it. Thank you,” he said. I nodded and pulled him into an embrace. Natasha’s words echoed in my head and I felt I needed to ask him to tell me the truth.

“Did…Pepper really break up with you or is that something you only told me?” I asked. He shook his head.

“No. She didn’t. I’m the one who ended it with her,” he confessed.

“Why did you tell me something different?”

“I don’t know. I guess I was afraid of admitting something I figured out a few years ago,”

“Afraid of what?”

“Admitting my feelings. For you. Five years ago, I realized I was in love with you. I pushed them back because I thought it was only the heat of the moment when we almost kissed. I was feeling vulnerable and worried those feelings might not have been real. When Pepper wanted to get back together, I wanted to give it another try. To make sure. I thought I had missed something,”

“But…in the end, I didn’t feel the same way about her as I did with you. So, I ended it and spent the next few years trying to figure out how to tell you I loved you,” he said.

“Did you? Figure it out?” I asked. My heart was hammering so hard in my chest, I worried he might hear it. Tony nodded.

“I planned on telling you tonight. Before I knew about the party you surprised me with. After the wedding, I was going to pull you aside and tell you. That I love you. So, here it is. I love you, Jodie. There’s something I’ve been wanting to do. Ever since that night five years ago,”

“Which is?” Tony answered me by placing his hands on the back of my head and pulling me into a kiss. It was soft and gentle, the prickliness of his beard making my chin tingle. It was full of untamed passion and I carded my fingers through his hair, pulling him closer to me as we kissed for the second time. His arms wrapped around my waist, clutching me close to his body.

“Go out with me? Let us begin a relationship. See where we end up,” he said, pulling me in for another kiss. I nodded, pulling back to answer him.

“Let’s end up together forever. I love you too. I have for a while,” I confessed. Tony kissed me again before holding me as we looked out upon the city, beginning a romance to outlast them all.

a bit about me: 22F; CST timezone; email mostly, gdoc friendly; multi-para, 3rd person writing style; and loves OOC! I love to talk about characters and plots and everything else (memes are great). I’ve made a lot of great friends though roleplaying and would love to make more!

PSA: I can’t write m/m – I fail at it, but as a bi gal m/f and f/f I can do. 99% of my fandom pairings will be m/f. Also not skilled at omegaverse roleplays so that’s not an option atm, sorry!

my thoughts on:  Replies: Currently averaging 1-3 replies a week, 300-500+ words. Sometimes over 1000 when the scene calls for it  Effort: Equal effort please! I love knowing what you have in mind for your side at least, but winging it is fine too. I’m 100% happy to contribute to your plot to so let me know if you want to brainstorm or get stuck! I will do the same.  Character Division: I’m usually pretty gung-ho about juggling characters but I don’t have the skills to play them all, so let’s try to divvy them up a bit!  Age: looking for someone 18+!! I enjoy mature themes. Similarly, I’d like all characters engaged in romantic plots to be of age as well, so even in canon-verse aged up characters are my jam.  Universes: I am mostly looking for fandom OC X CANON roleplays at this time, which will be mentioned below. Usually willing to split roleplays between fandoms for your cravings too!  Genres: I like romance, angst, action, adventure, drama, and slice of life (so long as those other elements are included, straight sol gets boring real fast). Open to others of course! Dark themes are a guilty pleasure, but when done tastefully.  Characterization: In-character characters unless asked otherwise! Love interests are love interests for a reason haha  Misc: DOUBLING IS A MUST FOR FANDOM ROLEPLAYS. I am okay with stacked single-emails, or two separate threads, or whatever! Just must double!!

Side To Side

Summary:

A compilation of fics and prompts about Law, The Heart Pirates, and an OC named Ruby; mostly during the two year timeskip but there are some during and post-Dressrosa. These were made on my iPhone in Google Docs over the past year, and I’m uploading them here through the same phone; so expect quality content. I update at least weekly. Involves violence, childhood trauma, nakamaship, hurt, love, AU’s and implied sex. Enjoy and have fun (•◡•).

Chapter 1: Hell On Heels

Characters: Law, Penguin, Shachi, Bepo, Heart Pirates, Ruby

Notes: Ruby has an Irish accent; she’s incomprehensible.

The morning was bright and crisp.

And thank god for that because Law and the Heart Pirates had been on the sub for a little too long.

Finally in the New World, the group of pirates stopped at an island for supplies. Much of his crew had walked off on their own, wanting explore the city they landed on. Bepo, Shachi, and himself had decided they would go grocery shopping in the seaside market. They stood at the entrance of the market, talking amongst themselves, ignoring everyone around them.

“Excuse me.” Everyone turned their heads to the new, foreign accented voice that interrupted the intense conversation of what specific food to buy. “You guys are kinda blocking the way.”

The new voice was attached to a woman. She had peachy skin, she was on the thin (malnourished) side but had muscle definition in her arms and legs, long brown, wavy hair (it was in twin low pigtails), and deep brown eyes. She wore a white sundress, oversized sun hat, and tall white heels.

She smiled nervously and then pointed behind them. She had a large woven tote bag, made for grocery shopping no doubt.

“Ah, sorry!” Bepo spoke first and the new voice waved him off.

“It’s no problem, newcomers usually are confused by the layout of the island and cities.”

“How...did you...we aren’t new-”

“I’m Ruby,” she interrupted, “and that stall over there,” she pointed to a particular stall, “ sells the freshest fish, so you better get there quickly.”

“You’re rather friendly to people you just met,” Law spoke up and she turned to him. Her eyes stared at him curiously, giving him a once over before adjusting her tote bag.

“You think? I guess you’re right. You’re from Paradise, yeah? The attitudes of the people towards pirates are a bit different there, I suppose.” She shrugged. “Keep in mind there are significant territories owned by powerful pirates, here. Seeing rookie pirates come around to try and take over, then find One Piece is fairly common.” She grinned nonchalantly. The two of them stared at each other a moment before she turned around. She started to walk away, her hips swaying and her heels clicking against the wooden boardwalk. “Anyway, good luck in the New World,” her nearly incomprehensible voice sang out as she waved. Law didn’t trust her as far as he could throw her. And from how small she was, it was probably far. For all he knew she was probably a marine in disguise. Or worse, a new member of the Family who managed to find him.

It didn’t matter. They would get their supplies and leave. Then, he would never see her again.

Law blinked surprised when a beer was put in front of him. He looked up to see the woman from the docks earlier, Ruby-ya if he remembered correctly.

“Can I help you?” He raised his brow irritated.

“You’re in my spot,” she said, thick, barely intelligible accent. “And your crew has made my dowdy little pub a bit crowded.”

“And?”

“So, I’m forcing you to sit next to me.”

“You could sit somewhere else.”

“Absolutely not.” She sat next to him and Law groaned. “Silvy,” she called a waitress. “My usual!” Silvy gave her an okay and walked towards the kitchen.

“You are aware of who I am, right?”

“You’re pretentious is who you are.” Ruby-ya took a sip of...water. “And ungrateful. You know, you should say “thank you” when a beautiful woman buys you a drink.” Law stared at her annoyed. She ignored him and smiled sweetly at Silvy as she brought her her food. “Thanks.” She reached into her bustier to pull out her wallet.

“Oh, Ruby, honey, you know you ain't gotta pay,” another almost unintelligible accent came out. “You keep all those thugs and pirates at bay! Me and Gracie don’t want you paying for nothing.”

“You two are sweet,” Law was stricken with the sudden change of aura. “Don't worry, I’ll make sure you guys are safe.” She winked and Silvy walked away happily. Ruby-ya turned to Law, smile still on her face, but a dangerous look in her eyes. She wasn’t some random woman, that’s for sure. “Tell me, Trafalgar Law, Captain of the Heart Pirates with a bounty of over 300,000,000 berries,” she cocked her head. “Why are you on my island?”

“You’re bold to threaten me.”

“Threaten?” She said innocently. “I just asked a question, cara. Nothing more.” Law’s eyes narrowed with a frown.

“Resupply and need of land.”

“Among some other things it seems,” she grinned. “Since it looks like some of your crew are talking to those lovely men and women.” She teased and nodded to some...people of the night. Law rolled his eyes and her grin grew. “Not your cup of tea? I bet even Sapphire would give you a discount seeing how pretty you are.”

“Not interested.” Ruby-ya raised her brow at him but said nothing. “Not sure if you can tell, I’m not exactly a people person.” He said flatly.

“You don't have to be a “people person” to get your rocks off.” She stated matter of factly. “But that’s unimportant, what’s important is, you guys and gals getting your shit, leaving my lovely little pub and marketplace unharmed, and then never coming back…savvy?” She was dangerous.

“Don’t like pirates?” Might as well poke the bear. She was starting to become interesting, anyway.

“I don’t like anyone or anything aside from the aforementioned pub and marketplace.”

“What will you do? Turn us in the marines?”

“Ha!” She genuinely laughed, some patrons snickered, the bartender raised a glass. “Marines, indeed. No, cara, I’ll kill you.” She said it so sweetly that Law had to process her words twice. “By the way, that was a threat.”

Pairing: WZY x OC [Cui Meilin] Genre: slice of life Word Count: 1,045 Summary: “You’re trying to move in all on your own because no one you know has the time/cares well guess what stranger/new neighbor I care how can I help” cliche APT AUs.

Warning: none (one or two curse words, lol)

My fourth request, but once again out of order! So I may do one for CXK, not for sure though, but I chose WZY for this one. I wrote with him instead just because my masterlist needs more names added and I honestly imagined him first when this scene came to mind. XD Anyways, hope you like it anon and sorry for taking so long to get around to it, but I finally got inspiration and motivation to write and so made sure to put it to good use so that it wouldn’t disappear. ^^ Thanks for requesting and happy reading and kthxbai, Admin Lia~

"I. Fuckin'. Hate. Stairs." Meilin complained for the third time while climbing the same set of stairs along with carrying a large basket of her clothes to her new shared apartment with her sister on the second floor. "And of course, Mengjie had to bail on me at the last second because of work. Ugh. Fuck my life."

Once she reached her floor, Meilin made her way to 907, clumsily opened the door, and entered the apartment to set the basket inside the two bedroom apartment. "I knew I should have done this earlier in the week than procrastinate until now when Mengjie actually had it off."

Meilin ran a hand through her hair before back-tracking out the door once more to bring up the rest of their things. Believing she could shave off how many times she could go to and fro from car to apartment, Meilin decided to take as many things as she could. She had secure a backpack upon her back, a tote bag hanging on each side of her arms while lifting two medium-sized boxes, and even managing to carrying some grocery bags in hand.

Meilin soon regretted thinking that she could carry all of that when she finally realized that there were stairs to climb once again to her apartment floor when she reached that point. Letting out a determined sigh since she was already here, Meilin forged on with slow, but steady steps. Of course that somehow backfired on her not to her own fault as when she took her second step while balancing herself, Meilin wasn't aware that one of the doors of the same floor had opened and a white dog had ran on out.

"Dahua!" Ziyi called out to the dog as it had ran down the stairs and brushed up against Meilin's leg.

Meilin had leaned to her right to rest against the railing while the dog swiftly brush past her.

"Tinbao! July!" Ziyi called out again, but to two different cats that swiftly maneuvered down the steps and in-between Meilin's legs to which caused Meilin to lose more of her balance as she tried to side-step out of the felines' way and she went stumbling backwards and crashing to the ground.

Ziyi rushed down the steps to help Meilin as she let out a groan while pushing everything off of her.

"I am so sorry." Ziyi apologized as he hovered above Meilin. "Are you okay? Did you hit your head? How many fingers am I holding up?"

Meilin eyed the stranger as she tried to make out how many fingers he was holding. "Three."

"Okay, correct. Let me help you up."

Meilin took his offered hands and felt herself being pulled to her feet instantly while feeling a little lightheaded because of it causing her to wobbled for a bit as Ziyi hands helped steadied her.

"My bad."

"It's fine."

Meilin looked at her belongings and let out a sigh as she squatted down to gathered her things once again with Ziyi copying her movements.

"Moving in?" Ziyi asked while stacking the two boxes.

"Yeah." Meilin answered as she set the grocery bags on top of the boxes while taking the two tote bags into her hands and faced the male. "Shouldn't you be worried about your pets?"

"They're not mine. I'm pet-sitting for a few friends, well my roommate, Zhengting was supposed to pet-sit. I just ended up sitting for today. They're fine. They'll be back." Ziyi smiled while easily lifting the boxes within his grasp. "I'll take care of these for you in the mean time."

"Ah, wait. You don't have to." Meilin tried to declined his offered while trying to take back the items, but Ziyi maneuvered them out of her way. "You’re trying to move in all on your own because no one you know has the time, well guess what new neighbor I care. How can I help?"

Meilin cast him a weird look. "How do you know I'm trying to move in on my own and that I'm a new neighbor?"

"No sane person would carry that much stuff without trying to lessen the load or something and you're an unfamiliar face. Plus, I heard from Zhengting that there were two new neighbors moving in across the hall. Hi." Ziyi reasoned as Meilin scoffed trying to keep a straight face. "Well, it wouldn't have been a problem if y'know, if the pets were being watched carefully and didn't run past and what not."

"I did apologize about them. So, once again, if you've forgotten, I'm sorry." Ziyi smiled sheepishly while apologizing once more as Meilin smirked. "I know, but okay. Apologies accepted. Thank you..." She looked at him expectantly as she didn't catch his name.

"I'm Ziyi. Wang Ziyi. Apartment nine-oh-nine." Ziyi answered with another charming smile that Meilin was beginning to warm up to her new neighbor and cast him a friendly smile in return. "Hi, Ziyi. I'm Cui Meilin. Nice to meet you."

"Nice to meet you, too, Meilin. Now," He began as he shifted the boxes around to grip them better, "Apartment nine-oh-seven, right?"

"Oh, right. Yes. I'm sorry." She apologized as she rushed up the stairs with Ziyi in tow and the duo placed the items onto the floor.

"Do you wanna grab something to eat or drink right now?" Meilin suddenly asked already tired of moving in and just wanted to take a break from it all.

"Don't you wanna finish moving in all of your stuff?" Ziyi asked curiously while looking around the apartment. "And probably get settled in?"

"Nah," Meilin dismissed as she grabbed her bag and headed out of the apartment with Ziyi in tow, "I'll have my sister help me with that later when she gets off of work in several hours." Meilin then cast him a knowingly look. "Besides, shouldn't we look for your pets since I don't think I saw any of them come back by now."

"Nah," Ziyi dismissed with a laugh, "I'll let my roommate take care of that as he was the one that volunteered to pet-sit." He then cast Meilin a smile. "There's this cafe just down the block and they serve some delicious bubble tea along with light snacks."

"Sounds perfect!"
