Now, first things first, yall know Walter upgraded the FUCK out of Killians body mods. Like he went "that looks cool! But i can make it better :) just saying :)"; now killian has better, comfier, smoother tech, like an actual robot hand instead of a claw; his eye was already pretty nice, Walter just helped make it more natural looking in case of malfunction, n avoid any pain n shit like that

Walter has Killian wrapped around his lil finger its insane. Anyone with any prior context of everything between them just doesnt know how to act. Walter wants a water? Ok but does he want it flavoured? Iced? Natural? Walter looks at Killian with those big blue eyes and suddenly he just has to touch him in any way.

Walter is definitely the chill half of this couple. Walters the anchor. And im not saying chill like in general, Walter is still is cute energetic self, what i mean is only one of them will become a flustered mess after their first kiss and think abt it forever all the time, especially at night while he watches the other sleep and pets his hair and is overwhelmed by the amount of Feelings he has for the other (killian is so emotionally repressed but then walter is the way he is n he just naturally forces killian not to be that way by just fucking breathing, n its very disorienting for Killian)

Killians not affected by sleep hours all that much, he goes to sleep whenever n then wakes up whenever n he'll be fine. Walter, however, is not a morning person. Can u imagine walter grumpy? Well, killian has now experienced it many times. Its actually how he first realized his feelings for walter. Its stupid endearing (he'd never admit this tho ofc)

Its hard for both of them to say i love u, but for different reasons. Killian, for ur regular degular emotional repression. Walter, because he never had meaningful emotional n intimate relationships to warrant saying that except for his mom, so saying it gives him anxiety like no other. So, they do that thing where u tap someone 3 times as "i love you" n then the other taps back 4 times "i love you too"

Killian never had the habit for listening to music. Walter introduced him to kpop n it all went downhill from there (his main group is dreamcatcher, because he has taste. His bias is dami)

Walter needs glasses but always forgets them. Killian is now used to carrying around two pairs of glasses: one for himself, n a duplicate of Walters glasses

ok ok so. i have a lot of stuff 4 grian so far so im gonna start with him.

first of all his horns r supposed to be somewhat like the evo symbol. shortly after the last edit he got kicked out of the brooding caverns early and they just kinda gave him over to whatever cult represents the watchers here. also it's my au and i get to decide what old grian content is canon. yhs is too. one of his horns got ripped out by sam while they were both like 3 sweep olds. also he dresses like a rust instead of a purple (w the makeup instead of facepaint. slay) because something something not wanting to associate with the other purplebloods.

for scar uhhhh. i just think he fits rlly well as a jade. cannot explain why. maybe it's lanque but he just gives me male jade vibes. also jellie is his lusus and thats important and everyone needs to know this. his whole story with jellie is kinda like crytum and platycat (if u havent played all of sbb, he never had a lusus and then got a cat one for emotional support after moving to the stronghold). scar's horns r also based off allay wings and i think they r rlly cool :D

i made mumbo a gold and i was gonna make his eyes red like redstone, but i thought he fit more like jentha with whatever the fuck she had going on. his horns r supposed to be redstone torches. dunno where he fits in the present though (ie second edit) maybe he died idk.

i have less 2 say abt ren and martyn since i dont remember much from 3l but i am so insane abt them. ren as a rust and martyn as an indigo :shoutpole: GET THIS. ren takes sestros place as ceo of the world basically but his second in command is on the complete other side of the spectrum. idk if the differing lifespan thing is canon in ve (like it is in aleph null) but it WOULD be funny if it was.

also while i got with understanding on the brain i wanna be clear that like... when i encourage people to read it i am not doing it in the sincere 'everyone should read this its amazing' way bc it IS fucked in the head its a truly insane piece of fiction, and it takes a certain fortitude and internal sense of like, healing, to be able to get through. its not a typical love story, its not a nice story by any means. it is a story about the realities of broken people, and how you live your life when trauma and circumstances have increasingly closed doors to you and taken away your options. it is also a story about synthetic and natural happiness. it is a story about healing yourself by healing other people. it is a story about the kind of person who can only find peace through giving it to others, and how they can navigate a world that hurts them. and ultimately its a power fantasy about having the power to change someone you love in a way that stops them from hurting you again; about someone loving you enough that it makes them change themself too.

it is not a fic that i read because of the romance, but because i'm fascinated by the psychology of it. i like the writing style, i like the voice of cas' pov. i like the authors choice to turn a trope that is nearly always extremely fucked up and turn it on its head without ever trying to say it isnt fucked up. they heal and move on from what dean did to cas without ever glossing over it, without ever forgetting and ignoring. they both acknowledge every messed up thing about their life, they talk and talk and they slip up and keep going anyway. its very moving, personally, but i also recognise why the level of fucked up the first section has will prevent a lot of people from being able to read it. thats fine!

i dont want to seem disrespectful of the subject matter when i make jokes about it and talk about it in a lighthearted way bc this shit is DEEP in my psyche, my friends and i have an entire groupchat for talking about this fic like we are. deranged. its very healing for me as a person w CPTSD and a history of sexual trauma to read a story where the pov characters thought processes sound so much like my own, where his decisions that make sense to me dont make sense to those around him. idk. could literally enver explain everything i have to say abt this fic in a tumblr post but yh. its god but its wack and its hard to read but also very rewarding?
