1. What made you ship it?

GOD their dynamic in the comics is SO FUN!!!!! the way tim wants kon's approval in yj98 but he's so mad about it. and the way they both respect each other so much but also bicker but call each other best friends even early on. the DEVOTION that grows out of that bickering as they grow into each other. the way they lean on each other and think about each other often and. this isn't even getting into any of the insane shit after kon died.

2. What are your favorite things about the ship?

THEYRE INSANE ABOUT EACH OTHER AND THEYRE IN LOVE and i am NOT immune to best friends to lovers. holy shit!!!!!! they're silly and they are so obsessed with each other and. and. AAA

3. Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?

well lets see. how about "kon is his own fully-realized character with a personality, interests, and a life outside of tim and the bats"? or maybe "tim could not beat kon in a physical fight even if he had kryptonite. be serious for once in your silly lives"? perhaps that's too specific. how about "shovel talks are a fucking stupid trope rooted in misogyny, homophobia, and purity culture"? or maybe "kon isn't stupid you guys just need to learn to read"? or what about [...] (the list continues as i keep talking for another 30 minutes straight)

I don't think I really enjoyed the latest chapter, and honestly from the way things are looking I'm probably not going to enjoy Jujutsu Kaisen's ending either....

I obviously like the characters, I like Yuji, I like Nobara, Megumi is alright.....I get wanting them to be happy. A lot of the stuff I draw in fact involves putting characters I like into silly situations as though they aren't in constant suffering in the source material (I'm immune to being serious 💔).

However, I feel like I'm not really vibing with this 'the trio is alright and they'll all be happy together' ending it seems Gege is setting up. I think part of it stems from the way Nobara and Megumi have been handled these past chapters. There was so much hype for Nobara's comeback.....I get it, she's a badass and fun character who's time in the story was cut awfully short.....I really do understand why so many people would want her back, but I just don't really like how close to the ending her return was and also the fact that up until that point it seemed pretty heavily implied that she had died. Not only that but her 'death' was such an important moment for Yuji and part of what made Shibuya and Yuji's story so tragic and Mahito so reprehensible as a villain. Nobara coming back so suddenly without even proper time dedicated to her (as in actual hints that she was alive and more chapters to explore the dynamics of her return and her contributions to the battle beyond one move) to make it feel even a smidgen satisfying just didn't sit right with me. The first thing I thought of upon seeing the chapter of her return was that it felt like fanservice. It felt like the type of thing a fan of the story would write for the 'hype' and not a choice that made sense. It was the same thing as Yuta returning in Gojo's body. People like Gojo, and having a chapter make it seem like he was coming back of course got the fans' attention. But in the end the story could've still worked well, maybe even better, without Yuta-jo's addition to the fight. It was unessecary.

Then we have Megumi who's been through so much for a good chunk of the story now. His body was taken over and used to hurt people he cares about, most of all his sister who is pretty much the center of his world, the person he loves the most. He'd given up, he'd sunk to the lowest depths submerged in Sukuna's evil. I feel like he sprung back pretty quickly......I don't think I'm as iffy about Megumi's return as I am with Nobara's considering Megumi actually at least got some pretty good and decent scenes with Yuji getting through to him and now also a talk with Sukuna.....but I dunno, I still don't know if I enjoyed how it was handled, particularly the fact that he just kind of comes back with no consequences after all the shit Sukuna's put his body through. I mean, he has a couple of scars sure but is that really all you'd expect after the world class beating he just got?????

Then we have Sukuna, reduced to glob of flesh. I don't mind Sukuna getting a pathetic death. After all he's done I think he deserved getting flung off his high horse and trampled on the ground. It still felt really abrupt though and like it didn't get enough time considering he's been such a big pain for months now and is one of the major antagonists. He's just suddenly gone and it felt anticlimactic and unsatisfying. I would've also liked to see at least a bit of what he was like in the Heain era.....

Hakari and Uraume too 😭. We really got none of their fight and when Sukuna is gone Uraume just....evaporates???? It honestly felt like Gege was just trying to get them out of the way so the series can end already and not an actual conclusion to their character. I wish they could've gotten more depth beyond being just Sukuna's loyal servant.

Them there's of course all the things Gege still hasn't touched such as Jin being Sukuna's twin, Kenjaku being Yuji's mom, the merger etc. Those things I guess I'm not as sad about because I'd already come to terms with the fact that Gege isn't going to get into them, at least not to the extent I would've wanted. It still sucks though.

Maybe I'm just a hater, maybe I don't understand what Gege was trying to do, maybe it's just a matter of preference. I think Gege probably tried his best with jjk using what he had and I don't think it'd be right to hate on him. And even if I am kind of dissapointed in where this story is going I don't blame anyone for liking it.

I may just not like 'happily ever after' endings or something. Not to say Jujutsu Kaisen is some super uplifting story even if the main trio has survived. There's still characters who have died and stayed dead, but it's still definitely a happier ending than what I expected.

At the end of the day, I like stories that put their characters through the wringer. I like stories that destroy everything their protagonist has ever had and turn their world upside down and accept no half-assed reparations to the damage they've caused. I like stories that fuck up everyone involved but still let at least one of them be smiling by the end, even if they're alone, because life is still worth living. Honestly, I would've preferred Yuji move on by himself than for a happy ending to be squeezed out of jjk's remains in a way that didn't feel satisfying. Though maybe I wouldn't be so sour about an ending where the trio gets to live together if we had just had more time to make it feel right. To make it feel emotionally impactful and like it wasn't just hype. I'd take a bittersweet but well-done ending over a half-assed good ending and a well-done good ending over a bittersweet ending....y'know?

Well, that's just my opinion.

How I feel about this character

I love him!!! He ended up not being my favorite because I adore Marcille with my whole heart but he's such a good main character, honestly. I wasn't thinking too much about it when I started watching, I was just having fun and I think it showed already that he wasn't just a silly character or anything, but man... the moments he got the most serious, he had me in shambles haha.

I enjoy him very much, it's really cool to see the ripples in his relationship with both monsters and humans. There's so much to him that I'm yet to see too and I'm looking forward to it, he's definitely not the kind of main character you're kinda sick of and want to leave already haha.

All the people I ship romantically with this character

I have been swayed to the Labru side, finally, haha. I think they have a fascinating dynamic and while I certainly haven't seen everything they have to offer, the push and pull there makes it very compelling. Plus I'm not immune to cool fanart and funny posts, not gonna lie, but the main reason is that they seem to have a very compelling dynamic, not exactly direct or straightforward in its development and that really has me dying to see more.

I have been seeing Lashuro recently too and ngl, I've been going 👀 at that too. I remember I had talked with my friend Isis about how it was sort of funny that the Toudens do have very similar traits when it comes to how they view the world sometimes and yet Toshiro finds one annoying and the other charming. Probably in part a mix of attitude and gender, I'm not sure. Although in all fairness they seemed to be pretty at peace at the end so... I think it can be fun.

My non-romantic OTP for this character

Marcille!!! Oh, they have so many good scenes with one another, they have such a fun dynamic, I love how much Laios trusts Marcille despite also knowing she can do shit like pour boiling water on an Undyne lmao.

In general they're very fun, the mix of them bickering but very obviously valuing each other's opinions and caring about one another is really good. Also I think it was you who said once they had siblings in lae energy and I can't unsee it ever since, they really do haha.

My unpopular opinion about this character

I haven't seen this much around tumblr or such, and I know the Dunmeshi Spanish fandom has the worst takes known to mankind but man, he's not dumb, come on now.

I doubt this is really unpopular and I especially need to actually read the full manga to understand his character more, probably, so I don't have too many complex opinions about him but... I feel like it's somewhat common to see him depicted as stupid but he's such a smart character, actually? He doesn't have to be the tropey nerd character to be smart, he has been shown to be very perceptive, even if he might be lacking on that department when it comes to social matters.

I just think writing him off as just being clueless and dumb is doing a big disservice to his character. He does have his struggles when it comes to general awareness and specific types of it but he's far from dumb.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon.

I truly cannot speak on this one since I'm not done with the manga, haha. I have been spoiled a bit by some really cool fanart and animatics, I'm not gonna lie, so I have the gist of some big things that are coming but since I have the idea and not the actual development of it, I don't feel like I can speak on any of it, nor do I have any concrete ideas there anyway.

So far I'm pretty content with everything I have seen, both anime and manga wise.

And now onto Hooty:

How I feel about this character

I love him. I get why he annoys a lot of people in and out of universe, he's one of those silly cartoon characters that's not supposed to be super deep (although what's up with Papa Titan having a Hooty in his eye? I still need answers about that), but I like that he's always sweet and loves his people even if they're mean to him. I'm so happy Lilith came along and started appreciating him, it's what he deserves!

I think he's fun in general. I definitely would love to think more about the deeper implications about his existence, how did he even meet Eda and all about that, but I have to admit I don't think enough about him most of the time to even have ideas in that department. He's just silly and I appreciate that.

LILITH!!! Their friendship makes me SO happy, they're adorable. I definitely didn't see that one coming but I like how they ended lowkey balancing each other with Hooty reminding Lilith to care for herself and that she should depend on others and Lilith remarking upon Hooty's own worth to the point he's not seeking attention desperately anymore after they become friends because he's far more content with his friendship. It might have been more about how the writing around him changed too, but I liked to think the fact they became friends also helped the rest of the Owl Fam to soften around him and appreciate him more.

I love that in the end Hooty is living his best life just going around with Lilith.

My unpopular opinion about this character

He's not THAT annoying except in the Spanish dub. And I'm saying this as a chronic "obnoxious cartoon mascot hater" haha. Hooty is obviously supposed to be a little much but I don't think it ever goes to the point in which you actually want to strangle him or wish he wasn't even in the show in the first place.

At least that's what the experience was for me, I'm aware opinions differ but I think Hooty is pretty fine as he is, honestly.

Going back to that thing with Papa Titan and the Hooty eye... hey, what was that? Can we go back to that real quick? I really wish we had found out what was the connection between titans and... whatever Hooty is. I know Dana said at some point a specific youtuber had made the right theory but I could never figure out who was it and what did they say haha.

Anyway, yeah, I wish they had gotten into that. It would be Hooty AND titan lore all in one.

i don't care if bsd is believable. i don't care if the plot twists make sense, because honestly they never really have made much sense and they don't necessarily need to. bsd tends to be kind of ridiculous and a lot of times that's what makes it fun and endearing. i am perfectly willing to suspend my disbelief for this show.

i do care if bsd is rewarding tho, and i don't feel like this was a particularly rewarding season finale as far as dazai's character goes. another dazai ex machina ending to a season isn't the problem here for me; it's the doubt that resolution is retroactively casting on everything dazai has done and said in the last arc. it makes the sincerity of everything he said suspect. it makes me wonder if he was ever really in danger. how much dazai knew, how assured he was of his victory isn't entirely clear, but that doesn't really matter. what matters is that enough of the conflict in the mersault arc was shown to be not real, and that puts everything in a different light. it makes any vulnerability or weakness dazai showed during the arc seem inconsequential, and it makes it feel less genuine dazai's speech to chuuya when he was "drowning" chuuya was interesting when the chapter released because it had so many character and relationship implications. dazai, pragmatic and logical as he is, being capable of killing chuuya if he had to but not incapable of feeling nothing about it. it made you wonder if perhaps dazai might be doing something he'd regret, if he'd realize only once it's too late the true consequences of his actions. dazai saying for years that he wants to kill chuuya and genuinely believing that he wants him dead, only to realize once he's succeeded at that that his life is missing something without chuuya there to irritate him... that's interesting! that's opening up a whole world of possibilities for dazai's character and their relationship. even if chuuya survives, dazai still may be faced with the realization that hey, he doesn't want chuuya dead. it forces him to really reckon with the magnitude of importance chuuya has in his life, which, for all of their unspoken trust, may be something dazai has taken for granted. it might make him re-examine his feelings or himself. it might change the dynamic between them.

now that there's the possibility of it being pre-planned, that speech loses it's weight— and the character implications of it are somewhat lost. of course, there is the possibility that dazai didn't know at the time, that he only figured it out at some point during the events of the game. it's certainly open to interpretation and it's definitely interesting to interpret it that he didn't know at the time, but it's an equally valid interpretation that dazai knew all along, so it shifts the exploration of dazai's character and his feelings for chuuya from the realm of canon to fanon.

but the way that the vampire fake-out plot twist is presented does strip some of the possibility for vulnerability from dazai's words. it casts enough doubt on it to make it plausible that he was just fucking around, that it doesn't really mean anything. it keeps dazai in a secure place of superiority in the narrative and makes him immune to normal character flaws and weaknesses. dazai, as a person, is supposed to be learning to trust and he wins because of that trust, but it's falling flat for dazai as a character (for me, at least) because we don't believe there was ever really a risk that he'd fall. as the audinece, we can see asagiri setting up a safety net and it negates the impact of the trust fall that dazai is supposedly doing. basically this plot twist is the emotional equivalent to seeing a video of someone jumping off a ledge and then the camera zooms out and you realize what you thought was a 30 foot drop is actually only about 3 feet. and not only is it not rewarding, but it makes me feel like i was silly for being worried in the first place.

the sillies! the assholes! in which arikado proves he is immune to being a good person in either of the sorrow games and celia is along for the ride. you kinda sorta need the whole "arikado sucks ass" context but even without it, ill just mention: celias goals technically line up with arikados 'the dark lord will rise if needed' worldview, minus the killing of soma who arikado tries to convince to stay behind. celia seems to know arikado, or at least of arikado, so take that as you will. in the so-so ending to the game, celia apparently escapes the castle, although i do believe arikados entire goal was to catch her, and i dont think hes that incompetent. Something Is Going On There. so! two manipulators trying to fuck eachother over, for better or for worse ^^

walter trying to fuck with the son of the man who imprisoned him, not out of any particular desire for vengeance but really just because he thinks its funny, and said mans son being a lot more responsive to jabs at his character, not to mention the general comedy of making literally anyone stand around walter for too long... i could cook for this if i really wanted to but the bottom line is itd be really fucking funny and sometimes thats all you need. arikado gets to be the worst ever except now he has a one man peanut gallery mocking his every move, just as he deserves. 10/10

The first character I first fell in love with: Jasnah. It was immediate, and I never recovered. Her poise, her wits, her Ace rep, her capacity for good as well as her ability to be that bitch. Will not lie, my bestie hyped her up and she has not disappointed me once.

The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: He was just one-armed comic relief. Now I muse the little bastard. I thought he might be somewhat cringe comedy and tbh as it was my first Sanderson outing I didn't know what to expect when I heard 'Mexican-coded comic relief' but tbh? He's my one hand arm man, my confidant, my best friend, my silly mink. Love The Lopen, no notes.

The character everyone else loves that I don’t: This is such a cop out but I can't think of any universally beloved characters I don't like? One of the gifts of the series to me is the nuanced and thoughtful characterization of each main player, making them feel more well-rounded than a lot of fantasy without any of them bleeding into each other/relying on authorial tropes. Even stuff I don't like about them, I understand or respect from the sense of 'this character is a tool of the story and is performing that function spectacularly.' The work is put in such that I don't really dislike any of the fandom favs like the Kh0lins, Bridge Crew, Sz*th, etc -- I just side-eye some of their choices.

The character I love that everyone else hates: Moash, and it's downright pathological how much this fandom has it out for him. I get he's a villain and makes some really selfish, awful, narrative-redefining decisions, but there's some takes out there that frankly make me wonder if people read the same book I did. To wit, there is discourse surrounding if this man kicked a literal infant. I, meanwhile, am damn near his public defender at this point. He has layers. He's so Cool Motive Still Murder coded.

The character I used to love but don’t any longer: Dalinar is really one of those characters where your feelings about him get more complicated on a reread. He's still wonderful in narrative and a favorite because no one else in the genre is doing it like him but... Holy shit dude. The way his flashbacks reframe everything. Where is the justice for my girl Evi --

The character I would totally smooch: OK SO FUNNY STORY ax the bestie that got me into the series called my dyke ass would be bewitched by Jasnah. She's so my type it hurts. But they forgot a core aspect of my being: I'd do anything for a MILF. I love Jasnah -- twenty years older and a little more plush, since it's established she's a younger version of her mother. The LOML. My queen. Navani. I get choked up remembering she wasn't getting the good good for 6 years --

The character I’d want to be like: The way I actually want a Dalinar quote tattooed on my body. The way I strive for that level of getting my shit together and turning it around. The way I want to be Evi and Navani's husband. Wait what no delete that footage --

The character I’d slap: Can I lovingly backhand my beloved Moash just to try and convince him he's in a cult and needs to get back on that whole 'destroy the system' wagon? Not even like a hard slap. Just something less taxing than killing one of his buddies to realize how far he's fallen.

A pairing that I love: Have you heard the news of our lord and savior Szopen -- Jokes aside, I am not immune to mad scientist war criminal crab milfs and their captive engineering genius morally complex human milf. Navaniel or bust. It's everything I have ever wanted in my life.

A pairing that I despise: SHALAD1N. Obscuring it so I don't post negativity in the proper ship tag but oh my God my genuine fear is that given the nature of Sandertropes Adolin is gonna be the deadpool for KoW, Shallan will be our grieving widow protag, and 15 years later she and Kaladin hook up. Don't get me wrong! I love their dynamic platonically! I'm not even opposed to Shakalodin! But they NEED that buffer, I can't stand the thought of them 1:1'ing this ship. There's too much between them, too much trauma overlap and high key inflicted on each other, for me to see the endgame appeal. I think it'd self destruct messily and leave them both worse. They need sunshine boy or the romance will tear itself apart.

USSOP!! he's here!! favorite straw hat has arrived. and killed it. like. genuinely. the reveal that luffy knew yassop and had a good relationship with him and then ussop's reaction... ate. also the fact that oda approved that take makes me hopeful for the ussop + yassop manga reunion (one of my biggest fears)

continually irritated by the random garp + koby jumpcuts. boo. it connected eventually but its also really killing the vibe. also its so boring. sorry. also GARP what are you DOING???? you know that's luffy!!

neat that zoro recognizes kuro: it makes sense considering zoro was a bounty hunter. hilarious that he asked him if they'd met at a (presumably) gay bar before.

cool that they made syrup a shipbuilding town. makes so much more sense as to why they just had a random ship lying around. also merry my beloved you look beautiful.

i really am liking the romance dawn trio banter. its silly and fun and nails the manga. i also just love awkward dynamics.

no ussop's pirate crew, for understandable reasons. still tragic! no django!! devastating, because now what are they going to do for ussop's epic moment? aand we're losing the chase through the woods. sad.

like how they did the ussop/kaya dynamic but also fleshed kaya out more as a character. whoo.

luffy just chugged that poisoned soup straight from the pot. good for him. he'll be fine its a plot point he's just. weirdly immune to poison.

so definitely single-chaptered works, no matter how long they get. i tried multichaptered once and it did not go very well so we shan't speak of it lol

i think i need to have a work completely complete before posting, and i guess technically i could write and post multiple chapters, but even for longer fics the big chonky oneshots are just visually more satisfying to me personally

as for short or long... lol clearly i have a habit of writing mainly only short fics, but longfics feel so rewarding when you manage to finish them! the trouble is... finishing them......

so probably i have no strong preference for long or short (enjoy both!) but shorter ones more frequently see the light of day because, well, shorter ahaha

BLORBO-KUN i feel like i actually use the term blorbo very loosely it's like a whole category to me but THE ONE THE ONLY BLORBO-KUN is of course ichiro my son

7. describe your favorite relationship dynamic. ( can be any kind, platonic, romantic, familial, antagonistic, etc. )

i - in general - am a sucker for writing romantic relationships. i like to write the silly little tropes, i like to write how a character is feeling when they're kissed for the first time... what it's like to fall in love. the slow burn or the pining...

HOWEVER, give me a good platonic relationship between character, too. a group of people coming together despite their differences, someone initially not liking a character realizing that they had the wrong idea.... friends getting to do silly things together just because they can.

both are incredibly enjoyable to me. : )

sometimes but not always.

not every ask has to be turned into a thread, and sometimes it's just fun to see how a character responds to something as a one off thing. of course, i'm always down to continue asks as treads and if anyone ever asks me i won't say no, lol. but i wouldn't say i expect it at all.

as for my reasoning... i send a lot of memes to people and while i usually will turn at least one or two into a thread ( esp if i'm sending a meme/ask as a way to interact w/ the blog for the first time ) we would both end up with flooded drafts bc i will continue sending a mountain of asks and memes.

9. when you look at a new blog, what is it that makes you press the follow button ? is it the muse, the aesthetics, the writing– ?

i am very much the type of person that will follow someone even if the character is from a fandom i'm not familiar with at all. i usually will look to see if there's an about / rules page - especially an about if i'm not familiar w/ the character the series is from, lol.

after that i'll usually look at the writing to see if our writing styles will go well together. bc sometimes peoples writing styles don't mesh... and that's ok !!

after that point... if i can imagine our characters interacting well i'll usually hit the follow button.

i'm someone that puts a lot of time into my aesthetics for the blog - but i don't really expect it from others... i've been rping on tumblr since ~fancy layouts~ were the norm and people wouldn't really give you the time of day if you had a boring layout. as long as i can navigate through pages and i can tell where the links are.... i do not care at all.

as for tropes: friends to lovers. always. and you are so right for liking it too. the chemistry that’s already there. the casual intimacy but for some reason an accidental hand touching sends them stuttering and there’s the awkward silence. the pining. nights where they can’t sleep thinking about each other, grinning at a stupid joke the other person said. and when people ask “are you guys dating?” and they’re just like “noo haha we’re just really good friends lololol” then the amplified tension after that because deep down they long for each other and they have no clue it’s mutual. and the confessions can never go wrong. whether it’s the blurted out “i’m in love with you” in the middle of an argument or a whispered “i really like you” “i can’t stop thinking about you” PLEASE friends to lovers is a gift that keeps on giving. it’s not just a trope it’s my SUSTENANCE. i love that shit so much <333 and !!! found family. i don’t think that trope has ever let me down. it’s always so fun seeing different dynamics within the group but they all mesh so well <33 also that trope in anastasia where they thought they’re complete strangers only to find out they’ve met when they were kids and they go “that was YOU?!” i am not immune

⚔️ best boss fight?

For P5: I really like Futaba’s palace’s final boss fight because it’s just such a strong emotional moment in the game. I love Futaba to pieces and that fight really shows her internal strength and ability to overcome. Also surprise! (not) I also love Maruki’s fight, holy shit is it a cool fight, and the culmination where you just fight one on one is so well done. It does have some mild annoyances like the first phase took me forever because I suck, but it’s still top tier.

For P3 I suck and I feel like I don’t remember the boss fights as well as I should LOL. Obviously another instance where the final fight with the Nyx avatar is a great one storywise. I actually didn’t find the gameplay too bad either! It really has a sense of grandeur and stakes, and the protagonist finding the strength to go on fighting alone at the end in order to save their friends is a great moment.

💛 favorite dynamic(s)?

For P5: I absolutely love the familial dynamic of Sojiro/Futaba/Ren. Sojiro’s confidant actually made me cry when I first played through it…It’s so heartwarming. The progression of Sojiro coming to care for Ren as his family and shift from admonishing him to standing up for him and having faith in him, and the progression of Futaba gaining not only a father but also a big brother is so wonderful. Sojiro is such a wonderful character and I’m so glad the two of them have him to look out for them. I just…augh, I love them so much. Also honorable mention to Shujin trio I love those silly guys.

For P3: Any character (but especially Shinjiro and Aigis) with Koromaru send tweet. Actually can we talk about Shinjiro being a mother hen to everyone else in SEES because that’s also a favorite dynamic. Love to see that gruff edgelord cooking for everyone and being worried about their dietary health while pretending he doesn’t actually care at all. 

👀 character that you hated but now love?

Ooh this is difficult because I don’t think I’ve had any where I’ve gone from outright hating them to loving them but I have had some progressions…For P5, The closest would probably be Akechi, since I was basically neutral to slightly negative on him after playing Vanilla, and then after playing Royal he became my favorite P5 character and one of my Characters Of All Time. Definitely the most drastic shift there. 

For P3, probably Ryoji. I am so sorry Ryoji gang I had beef with him while playing P3P, the flirting was too much for me and filled me with primal rage. But then he has his progression to acting more honestly with the protagonist and finding out about his true nature, and I can’t help but sympathize with him. I am not immune to inhuman characters whose very nature harms those around them even while they yearn for human connection…

Hi hello, why yes I do! Unfortunately, I don't have time or space to list every single beloved spn fic BUT I will give some highlights of one's I can remember off the top of my head. It's all Deancas cuz that's all I read really. Oh apart from As You Were which has no pairings. Obvi be aware of like tags and ratings cuz some of these deal with some heavy shit.

Four Letter Word for Intercourse was the first spn fic I ever read. I've reread it like 5x by this point. I adore it. Literally one of the most iconic spn fics I think, I knew about it before even starting spn

Canticles - no idea how to describe this it's just fucking GOOD. Beautiful writing. Also one of the first spn fics I ever read.

Cinderwings - LISTEN. THIS FIC. You want good worldbuilding? Look no further. It's a cinderella au when boiled down to it but that does in no way prepare you for the story. Dean is a prince, cas is an angel looking for the key to his peoples freedom under the guise of a masquerade ball.

And this, your living kiss - THEE poetry fic. If you love good Dean pov and characterisation and you love poetry or even if you don't like either then pls read this. Cas teaches poetry and Dean is a mechanic who published poetry under the pen name Jack Allen. It's beautiful.

Fenario - Lake House fic! An absolutely gorgeous post empty fic. My fave subgenre of Dean buying cas a house so he doesn't have to live in the bunker anymore and through renovation he's able to sort out some stuff about himself and how he feels.

Take the bones, begin anew - a post empty cas comes back fic. I love it so so tenderly. I am not immune to post empty fics. I could do a whole list just for cas comes back from the empty fics tbh.

Crossing lines and the sequel you want it darker - this series holds a special place in my heart. Also one of the only fics to make me cry (possibly the first?). It's a time travel fic where young Dean is pulled from the past and this forces Dean to assess the trauma he's been living with. It's really heavy going so, as with all these, check Tags. Just a heartbreaking exploration of deans life and trauma and relationships but in a really cathartic way. The sequel is much lighter and Dean is healing. Cannot stress the happy ending on this one.

Carnival oasis - creature cas! He's just a weird centuries old little guy who eats sin and Dean finds him in a tent at a carnival, advertising itself as a confession stand. Just,,, great cas characterisation and really interesting creature also. It's fun, it's silly, it's serious, it's good.

It's the end of the world as we know it - you will see the tag friends to enemies and think that braces you for the impact. It will not. Another one in which the worldbuilding and plot is just delicious. Like fucking hell, the way tiamatv paints a picture of the places the characters travel through... It astounds me. But yeah a real whirlwind adventure. Its set in high school and then jumps to when they're older and they reunite when the world is quite literally coming apart. It's got heartbreak. It's got other planes of existence. It's got cosmic horror. It's got incredible cas characterisation. It's got a suggested reading list embedded into the fic jskdkf. I love it so so much.

Here, bullet, here - a dean study but it's just,,, it's like poetry, it's so beautifully written. I adore it.

Let's take a drive - KID JACK FIC. It explores the implications and messy emotions of the characters if Jack DID de-age after the finale. It's messy but God is it soft and ends happy. Just a really beautiful study of relationship dynamics tbh.

Aching in the absence of you - oh it hurts but the payoff is worth it. Cas leaves the bunker and Dean let's him. As the tags say, it's a study in missing someone. Ends happy tho I prommy. Also, just generally I love sobsicles.

Dean Winchester Beat sheet - lichrally iconic college au. Another fan favourite also

I carry your heart (I carry it in my heart) - really really tender possession fic where cas needs a vessel to reside in for a while and Dean offers himself up.

Under the midnight sun - so obsessed with this fic, the artwork is the best artwork I've ever seen embedded in a fic. Dean is camp manager at a research station in Alaska and he's been told that a new ornithological researcher will be camping a few miles away and not to bother him. The ornithological expert is ofc cas but things are NOT adding up so Dean keep an eye on him. The descriptions and details in this are so fucking delicious. It's a fic where it feels like the authors love for the story and the setting shines through so much you cant help but love it too.

The cheapest room in the house - starts off silly goofy, cas comes out as gay and Dean decides it's his job to guide cas throw that by downloading grindr for him. Do not be fooled by the silly goofy premise tho because it's also a heartbreaking exploration of Dean and it hurts man, amidst all the laughing Thom. This fic has it all. Dean disorders, so much second hand embarrassment, Dean and cas' weird boy best friend dynamic, incredible characterisation. The list goes on.

Muscle memory - I have never seen 50 first dates but this is an au of that and its soooooooooooooo gorgeous.

Empty spaces - really intense fic where John dies and Dean is struggling and then meets cas. It's about deans mental health and him experiencing an eating disorder. It IS hopeful tho. One of the only fics to make me cry.

As you were - de-aged Dean and Sam fic. NO pairings but it's them being taken care of by cas when they get hit with a curse and it destroys me with how loving it is. Dean and Sam being looked after in the way they deserved to be by John.

Not part of the plan series - it starts with a one night stand which in no way prepares you for the absolute beast that is this fic. Once again worldbuilding is incredible and also the politics and planning of the world is sooo? Fucking good. Its about the tension between a kingdom and its neighbouring Republic and the arranged marriage of Dean and cas. Lots of political intrigue but also the most satisfying build up to a relationship. Its a slow burn despite the one night stand start. There are so so many moments that have stayed with me from this and the amazing thing the author does is manage to write the characters with so much depth, everything is explored, the author never pushes anything to the side in order to get the characters or plot where they want it. If there are implications and repercussions, then they're getting explored.

Masamune Kadoya,,...dear god…

I would kiss goodnight every character in this show and tuck them neatly into bed, but I would not do the same for Masamune. Instead I would fling him into the cold ocean with a comically large slingshot. (He is my favorite character)

When i watched the show when i was little i paid no attention to this guy. He was just kinda there. I was more focused on Tsubasa lmao he’s probably the reason why im bi and enby today. I got back into Beyblade years later and watched it SPECIFICALLY for Tsubasa. 

HOWEVERR when i rewatched the show, Masamune stuck out to me. I found him annoying but like in a funny way. Just a silly guy. mans got one braincell. In a lot of ways i relate to his role in friend groups as the dumb or just generally brain-scattered guy of the group. The way he is perceived...haha...oh no.....people irl also perceive me that way sometimes...

he’s just like me fr (unfortunately) 

I think everything started going downhill when I made a comment to myself “oddly specific, but hey that guy’s got a similar skin-tone to me haha cool what if he’s half filo” and then. yeah. 

I like Masamune’s character and how he evolved over the series, and though he’s still his dumb self in Metal Fury i believe he had matured some. Him leaving Toby and Zeo at the beginning of Metal Masters was dumb as shit and he shouldn’t have done it, but at the end of the day he was just a kid who thought fulfilling a shared goal would cheer his friend up, and he worked his best to achieve it. He’s not perfect at all and fails a lot, gets really upset about it and mopes, but he always gets back up and tries again. 

I like how the shows didn’t throw him plot armor, they made him more ?realistic? Than some other characters. His losses taught him lessons and he moved forward from them. I genuinely think Masamune is one of the most realistic characters out there.

I love his dynamics with other characters, i think they’re very funny. I always thought of Ginga and Masamune as kinda twin brothers, both with horse beys and both silly guys. There’s a couple scenes and screenshots of Masamune and Yu and i like to think they have a mischievous older brother and younger brother dynamic, whilst Tsubasa is the oldest and is the victim of all their pranks. 

Masamune and King’s dynamic is…obviously my favorite…lmao. They lift each other up and bring out the best in each other. I believe Masamune’s story in the show didn’t end at Metal Masters, but ended at Metal Fury with King. The scenes they have together are just so :(( <3 THERE’S NOOOOO WAY THE SHOW WRITERS DIDN’T DO THAT SHIT ON PURPOSE….I SEE YOU !!

I love him in Metal Fusion he was so silly. His character design is sooo cute i love the colors. And shout out to Hani for relating him to Fennec Foxes, u r so right.

Wasted potential in Metal Masters and Fury fr. Would have been nicer if Metal Masters had more teams competing and that there would be more battles for Yuu to grow. IN METAL FURY HE MADE LIBRA A FORCE FIELD???? AND THEY SHOWED IT LIKE ONCE?? BRUH. 

I love his brotherly Dynamic with Tsubasa and I love his friendship with Tithi. They are besties fr.

I believe the Garcias in general are deeper than they seem. Whilst they are the stereotypical villains that do bad things because of their situations, i feel like they in general can be built up upon and there are things that can be interpreted from them.
