I love the idea of teenage Malleus hating his new baby brother Silver but slowly falling for him

words cannot express how much I adore that Mal's reaction to seeing a human baby for the first time was "the fuck is this. why does it look like that. gross." (then he immediately got stuck on babysitting duty and the rest is history)

I am SUCH a sucker for that trope of "non-humans being fascinated by normal human behavior", so between that and all the delicious angst going on I was eating VERY well. >:) Malleus being so impressed that two-year-old Silver can walk, because it took him twenty years to stand on two legs! Lilia barging in on the Zigvolts at 2 AM being like "he won't stop crying what do I do"! Lilia trying to feed Silver rats and Malleus being like "...please just stick with what the books say to feed it"! it is all so. chef's kiss.

just saw more on twitter about the stupid book and apparently theres a "timeline update" and supposedly hylia made the stupid magic pebbles

yeah sure, say whatever you want, theres no saving this shit anymore, lore down the drain yeehaaawww

one of my biggest fears before totk came out was that it would screw not only botw lore up but also mess with existing lore, and i hate to be right on that part, id much prefer if theyd leave whatever shit they invent as being something new and not something that has "totally always existed", they clearly dont care about lore consistency, why do they keep trying to connect things afterwards anyway

....... if im being honest, i was surprised but glad that the game didnt actually end up killing my passion for the franchise even if it made me struggle for a good while

but

the stupid book might. and im being serious.

i really just want to throw everything zelda related i ever made or bought away right now, it will only get worse from here and the sooner i can stop caring the better

How many times did you burn yourself with the hot glue gun? If you didn't at all, how did you do that? I can't stop burning myself with it and it sucks, so any advice is appreciated

the video is sped up so you don't see the numerous times I just stuck my finger directly into the hot glue and went ow ow ow out of unthinking automatic habit. But it's on the heat callus of my fingers so it doesn't really hurt? I just am dumb.

Anyways the way to not burn yourself is to hold something far away from where you are applying glue, apply the glue, and then set it down and let things cool. This involves using patience, which I do not have, so instead I just stick my fingers in the molten plastic and keep working.

The smart choice is to work in phases, letting the glue cool and not trying to sculpt it with your hands.

I am maybe the wrong person to ask this question

#my solution to getting burned handling hot stage lights was to do it so many times i got heat calluses instead of just wearing work gloves #i am generally going for the dumb option in these sorts of things.#eventually most stuff has transitioned to LEDs so that's not even much of a thing anymore #but now i just use the heat calluses to hold pizza pans and do stupid things #which i guess is why i have them in the first place
