I love the idea of teenage Malleus hating his new baby brother Silver but slowly falling for him

words cannot express how much I adore that Mal's reaction to seeing a human baby for the first time was "the fuck is this. why does it look like that. gross." (then he immediately got stuck on babysitting duty and the rest is history)

I am SUCH a sucker for that trope of "non-humans being fascinated by normal human behavior", so between that and all the delicious angst going on I was eating VERY well. >:) Malleus being so impressed that two-year-old Silver can walk, because it took him twenty years to stand on two legs! one of my biggest fears before totk came out was that it would screw not only botw lore up but also mess with existing lore, and i hate to be right on that part, id much prefer if theyd leave whatever shit they invent as being something new and not something that has "totally always existed", they clearly dont care about lore consistency, why do they keep trying to connect things afterwards anyway

....... if im being honest, i was surprised but glad that the game didnt actually end up killing my passion for the franchise even if it made me struggle for a good while

How many times did you burn yourself with the hot glue gun? If you didn't at all, how did you do that? I can't stop burning myself with it and it sucks, so any advice is appreciated

the video is sped up so you don't see the numerous times I just stuck my finger directly into the hot glue and went ow ow ow out of unthinking automatic habit. But it's on the heat callus of my fingers so it doesn't really hurt? I just am dumb.

Anyways the way to not burn yourself is to hold something far away from where you are applying glue, apply the glue, and then set it down and let things cool. This involves using patience, which I do not have, so instead I just stick my fingers in the molten plastic and keep working.

The smart choice is to work in phases, letting the glue cool and not trying to sculpt it with your hands.

Oh I wish I knew about dragon age lore

I don't know if this will help any of my fellow writers, but a good friend of mine put some things into perspective for me today, so I wanted to share.

I often wonder why some things of mine get a decent amount of engagement while others do not. Is it the content? Is it the length? Is it not enough snzfuckery? Blah, blah, blah.

My friend writes for a well-known organization in our town and told me that she experiences the same thing with her articles. She says that her most popular article is actually quite bad (lol) and she's not even sure why people love it so much. So, she started running statistics on all of her stuff, literally studied trends, markets, etc. She found that it has absolutely nothing to do with her content at all. It's all timing. Every bit of it. Did the right people see it at the right time? Was there a good amount of traffic on the website at that time?

So, if you feel like your stuff isn't being seen or isn't being commented on enough, sometimes? It's probably the timing more than anything else. Did people reblog it at the time when others will see it? Did you post it when people were actually there to read it?

Just something to think about before you go all "I MUST SUCK!" on yourself. <3
