My thoughts on my One Piece journey and How it’s affected me 🩷

This is going to be long ass post lol

I think this is the platform that I never knew that I will ever comeback to but you know because of one piece and deprived of Sanji, Nami & Law content, ✨ here I am 😁✨ *shamelessly comeback after abandoned tumblr for good 11 years lmao*.

Anyway, I just want to let out my thoughts on my one piece journey and how it affected me. So bear with me. This is only place I can talk about One Piece because other platforms I had is related to kpop * Yes I’m a kpop fan. HEAVY ON NCT. Neo Got My Back.*

I know about one piece way back when I’m teenager. It’s just I don’t start to watch it/ read it somehow?? Idk why 🤷‍♀️ I’m also confused to as why because I did grew up watch anime like FMAB, Naruto, Bleach, Black Butler, K-On, Fairy Tail on tv. HECK I EVEN WATCH THE LONG ASS DETECTIVE CONAN TOO 😭

I think it’s because back in the day ( 2010 - 2017 ), I had lack of access to internet and not exposed to the series at all. Besides the local TV station here, only aired Naruto ,Bleach and those anime I mentioned . *I’m just 24 years old btw*

So around September 2023, I came across to One Piece content on TikTok and funny enough it’s Brook edit! I was so intrigued with this character and little did I know I watch a bunch of One Piece clip here and there on TikTok. To be fair, I am basically spoiled myself that time 😬 but I’m the type dgaf if I got spoiled because I won’t remember at all later on. 🤷‍♀️

So I decide to start watch it. First few episodes, my reaction was like “ Okay Luffy is an interesting guy🧐his body stretches and always smiled! He got damn hands tho ngl”. Zoro, my reaction was like “ahaaa SO THIS IS ZORO THAT EVERYONE KEEP TALKING ABOUT. Quite a Stud.”

Nami, interesting female character that I can relate because I like money 🤑 and her backstory is so sad. Ussop is also another character I gradually love over the time!

Then COMES MY HUSBANDO, SANJI. Man I have a thing for a man who can cook and looks good in suits. Sanji really makes me having my first anime crush ever! I DONT HAVE A CRUSH ON ANYONE IN NARUTO & Detective Conan but One Piece made me have one 🤧 *The upgrade from loving a guy that exist but doesn’t know you exist ( haechan,jaehyun & jaemin bb i luv you guys but Sanji 😮‍💨) to loving a guy who are not exist on this plane of earth 👀*

Little did I know I start to binge watch it. First day of watching, 30 episodes in 6 hours. 10 days later I already watch 325 episodes . but the show is so good! The story telling that oda created really hit home to me and the foreshadowing & lore he created makes me hooked unlike other story that I have read & watched.

Here’s the thing, to me every anime that I watch, I never like finish it . Sometimes I would just watch last ep and called it the day. This is not only apply on anime, it’s apply to western shows, my own local shows & k-dramas. So One Piece truly like solidified their place on my heart. I finally can understand why one piece are so loved for decades!

Also during those times, I hit rock bottom too. I quit my job because I was falsely accused for stealing shit at my work place and being discriminated by my ex-boss due to being the youngest one for my entire work.( everyone else was in their 40’s ). That time I was desperate as I need some money to achieve my bucket-list and want to lessen the burden of my family. Lord heavens knows what I’m going through, got death threats by that mf. Twisted the truth that causing my whole family cut ties with her severely. From there, I felt so stress and worried.

So One Piece is my way of escapism and it’s been a beautiful and exciting journey. Compared to last time, I took a 7 months breaks from works due to burn out & anxiety, this time it doesnt took long for me to overcome those situations and my “year-end blues” that I called is not as bad as before. I also has been actively try to get a job asap so I can buy an Ipad as I want to start learning digital drawing again after watching one piece.

One piece teach me it’s never late to start a new journey towards your dream! I used to dream to be a graphic designer or animators but my family don’t want me to be that. They want me to have that conservative jobs like working in government, an accountant etc. so essentially I gave up those dreams so I can make them proud of me. It’s been bothering me for so long as I felt like I should have go for what I want not what people want. At the end, I abandoned my accountancy knowledge and worked as an admin & a baker which I found a lot more less stressful that being an accountant. I guess what people describe after knows me personally being a confident, free-spirited & rebellious is just the way I am. AND oddly enough One Piece is just perfect manga & anime for me!

At this point, I already caught up with anime. I’m a weekly basis anime watchers now. I also has caught up with manga too. It’s been a huge revealing & fresh experience of One Piece for me. I felt like I being myself again! It’s weird but it’s the truth! I never felt so at ease and being seen. I just want to do what I want. It’s just fitting fate for me to be a One Piece fan!

A modern au ZoLu fic in which the crew were friends once, and now Zoro's not; and about why is that.

IT UPDATED! IT UPDATED! IT UPDATED!!! Thank you so much author for updating!!! I adore this story and it's been a blast. Truly, the angst and hurt/comfort are so well managed that I can't help but get really into it. Everyone should read this fanfic because it's effin fantastic.

All right, first of all, I am a big fan of MelodramaticCoffeeAddict's works. I've read a lot of them, and the ones I haven't is because I'm scared of the feelings they'll give me. Most of them are very angsty and Zoro-centric, which means I'm very drawn to her works. But I'm digressing.

All right, spoilers for the fic and OP Marineford arc, (though that last one is kinda a stretch but whatever) BEWARE!!

We start basically where we left the "then" part of the story, which is great because I can't get enough of Zoro and Luffy's reaction to the reveal. Like, Zoro, my man is Destroyed, he is basically in hell right now, his only lifelines are Wado, Luffy and Ace. (Which is so sad now given what we know about "now") (OHHHH I HAVE THINGS TO SAY ABOUT THAT!!!)

I want to talk about Ace's role in the story before I continue. Or at least, a little thing that popped up when this beautiful fic was invading my consciousness and not letting me study: Zoro doesn't get to keep his older siblings for long. An that's so sad!!!!! Like, the foreshadowing for Ace's death being to save Zoro, who could very well be trying to save Luffy from anything (or at least the way I understood it) Is So Tragic. This would be the second Older Sibling that sacrifices themselves for Zoro, I think that would break him. That's what gives him the permanent stutter in the "now" portion of the story.

This last part actually relates to the author's comment about a hc where Zoro just, buries his emotions instead of dealing with them, because then he would break. If Ace's death is Zoro's "fault" that will be what finally breaks the dam. He will not come back from that. And we know so!!! Because he didn't!!!

All right, back to the scenes in the fic

Sanji's been giving them food but Zoro doesn't want any, I understand this so much, this is so sad :c. Luffy eats it (haha), and Ace very much acts as the ultimate support for everyone. Let's go AceSan, I just really like how Ace doesn't neglects his role as everyone's support in favor of someone else. Even Usopp got some support! I love you Ace <333

Luffy reminding Zoro it was not his fault got me by surprise!! I sometimes forget this is a ZoLu fic ('cause of the plot) lol. This is such a nice way of giving a sweet scene that doesn't shift terribly the tone of the chapter, I really liked it.

More Zoro angst!!! He's blaming himself for the short trip :c Even though Luffy already told him nothing is his fault and he doesn't own anyone anything (some chapters ago), he still thinks he's the worst because he's ruined his friends fun!!! I WANNA CRY

Some more situational fluff: Luffy gives Zoro a ride home, and only Zoro!!!! I know this has Plot Reasons, it also has Ship Implications and I'm here for both. I really like Zoro and Luffy's relationship here! I don't remember getting a Luffy POV in this fic so far, I'll have to re-read, but I'd like to see their relationship through Luffy's pov.

The moment I've been waiting for ever since the birthday chapter is finally here!! Zoro calls Mihawk dad!!!!!! I was expecting this but it still made me feeeeel for them. I'd say I really like their relationship in the fic, but I say that about everything relationship in the fic. I just really like this fic and the way the author handles the characters in a very unusual setting, but makes it make sense for the canon counterparts!!!

Mihawk comforting Zoro part 1, thank you Mihawk for giving it your best to be a good dad, even if it doesn't always work out as intended. Your efforts have not been in vain because it's Your House where Zoro feels safest, not his, not Luffy's, not Ace's, Yours!!!

A short rambling about the dogs!!! They know what to do, I really love the dogs in this fic. They are *in character* for like, 2-3 lines of dialogue we've from canon, but in all honesty, I eat up any anthropomorphization of Zoro's swords (even Oda's, but we don't talk about Oda's take on that) but this is one of my favorites!

Oh yeah, the post dissociation clarity is weird. Like, as someone who also has the bad habit of "keeping big emotions under the rug" I have now added "to ACTUALLY check on them later" to the strategy, because it suck feeling a stranger to your own trauma. Hopefully Zoro learns this, but the way the story is headed, I don't see it happening in the "then" chapters...

On this, I haven't been through something similar to what's on the story, but both God and my psychiatrist know that the line between hyper rationalizing your feelings and just ignoring them blurs terribly quicky. So Zoro being like "I have to BE FINE, because if I AM NOT FINE then this would be terrible, the most horrible thing to ever happen, and that can't be true, because I don't think I could survive that" is very close to home for me, I just wish he went to therapy.

More angst (thanks) Zoro's issues with self worth and him being a waste unless he is excellent and strong and how I relate to that because of Internalized Family Expectations that were Not Met. Not much to develop on that, I just think about this take on Zoro's character and wonder what it means to myself.

Not wanting to eat because of anxiety for something totally unrelated to food is also very personal to me. The moment when eating stops being the Joie de Vivre to become A Chore is when it's known something's wrong, so seeing it in action for Zoro is great.

Mihawk comforting Zoro part 2, thank you Mihawk for loving your son. Perona also loves Zoro but she's a bit (a lot) lost right now. I think Mihawk wants to give Zoro a sense of normalcy through his panic attacks and all, so he keeps calm. And Perona knows that being dramatic is almost always more fun than being stoic, so she is. But my poor Zoro ends up confused about how to properly react to stressful situations thanks to these two, and by stating that on the fic we now know why he is Like That. I hope he gets to calm down more soon.

Ussop!!! I love it when we get his POV, I really like Usopp's POV in general for Fics, but this one serves also for an "antagonistic" narrative in the story. My man is too wrapped up in his own insecurities that he can't see that the way he and Zoro protect themselves from trauma is basically the same. They both create and project an image of themselves that has it more together than they actually do, the only difference is that now Usopp can't call Zoro's bluff and viceversa. They are both too into their own heads to even think that someone has issues as bad a they do. (Because why would they? Everyone else is so very much incredible! They are just the lesser friend, the one that's disposable, the useless one) They are all liars trying to get the best of themselves out, so that none of their wonderful friends ever finds out about what they've got within.

But they did!!! And it's Usopp's fault for not respecting Zoro's boundaries!!! Zoro's exposed everytime that happens and Usopp Can't Get Enough of it, because now he is not the weak one. He can call the bluff and regain some sort of validation towards him and his way of projecting out. What good it does to him though, because his bluff's also been called by everyone but Zoro. It makes sense for him to finally stop and think about what he's done for a change. Ding dong mtherfcker, it's consequences of your actions!

Side note, I really like Luffy paying for Usopp's phone but still too mad at him to actually talk to him directly, that's Luffy if I ever read him.

Usopp apologizing because he fears his friends stopping from being his friends and not because of him actually being sorry (even though he knows he's in the wrong) is peak Usopp behavior. In fact, it is very much canon, since that's basically how the end of the Water 7 saga goes. (until Zoro makes Luffy understand and so Usopp understand that half-assed apologies won't do). Let's hope he doesn't have to get punched anymore to be all right with the crew again.

Ah, Usopp being petty because Zoro apologized is funny, and very interesting for things previously mentioned.

And then the fic ends. It was a very good update! I'm So Glad the author is still updating! even though it' stated to be somewhat more of a bore now (than it was at the start :c) I await the next update expectantly because I can't get enough of this, and sincerely hope the fic gets to be done, because this is such a good story it'd make me sad if it were to just, stop. So once again, thank you so much author for all the work you put through and take your time!!!

Oh well, this is a great piece (haha), I think the fic is very non shippers accesible, because most of the moment can be interpreted as platonic (but why would you?) or plainly Not In English (I love that, I really like those but where they flirt in other languages, they are such dorks omg). So I believe any Zoro fans should read it, if you like modern aus, because it is a really good Zoro fic, and fic in general. I'm biased but I'm right!!!

Least Favorite character: Akainu. Aikanu? The admiral guy - not even for what he did. His philosophy rankles me, and his personality makes me wanna punch in the nose.

5 Favorite ships (canon or non-canon): I mostly x reader with characters, buuut - Frobin's cute, I've seen great ZoSan stuff. Thanks to @yamiyamiart I'm down for Croco/Sanji. I like Law/Kid, but funnily enough I haven't read any xD and I love the two couples that are the Charlotte kids who basically stan'd their new families and not Mama's.

Character I find most attractive: Marco. Those eyes are cheating, that chest ain't hurting anything, I wanna steal those sandals, and look he can just talk to me non-stop.

Character I would marry: It's a Legit Toss Up - Kid, Killer, Law, or Crocodile. Marco too honestly. All for different, yet equal reasons idk that I could ever choose.

Character I would be best friends with: Usopp. I'm a chicken, I enjoy drawing and creating, and I love to fiddle and tinker, and I know he would protect me from the scariest stuff - bugs.

a random thought: I wouldn't actually want t a devil fruit power. I really really love swimming too much.

An unpopular opinion: Idk - I'm a live and let live kind of person. I guess if I had any kind of opinion, popular or otherwise, it would be that some people just need to take a deep breath. Someone else's pairing or POT or TOP or OPT or whatever doesn't invalidate your own, etc. etc. We all love these characters, that's enough.

my canon OTP: Errr... idk. Probably Bege and his wife. She's feisty, I like her.

Non-canon OTP: ZoSan probably? Idk, after reading 20 Year Waltz by - I think - @landeg (I'm bad with names, my apologies if I'm tagging the wrong person) I just fell hard for them. (I also recommend the comic, I think it's up on red bubble or some such, easily worth 20+ $ imo)

most badass character: honestly, I gotta say Kid - No mentor, no teacher, no granddad or anything. Aside from Killer and the people he eventually gathered up, he didn't have any real support or help, and how far he got on his own like that is impressive.

pairing I am not a fan of: None comes to mind. I can see the pros of pretty much any pairing. I'm personally not in for under age pairing, but I mean like, teenagers date. I was a teenager, I remember that. Cutesy stuff has no age concerns for me.

character I feel the writers screwed up (in one way or another): Ennnnnh. No strong feelings here. I'm just enjoying the story xD

favourite friendship: Zoro and Chopper. OMG the vibes, the art, the banter, I love it. Those two are just perfect buddies.

THANK UU for responding to me !! it makes me so happy when people seem excited to talk to me, and i love hearing about peoples interests, so. i was very happy reading ur reply!!!! also this is probably an even longer message 😭 i cant help it i love to ramble

my history with one piece is long and complicated LMAO so i wont rant about it, but i started watching anime when i was 7 and one piece caught my attention when i was 10 i think, so ive had a lot of time to experience it tbh. but i was never that into it until i read the manga!! if im recommending one piece, i usually recommend the manga because its so much easier to get through imo.

honestly now that im caught up im like.. so afraid for the end of one piece. i never want it to end. i keep hearing that this is the final saga, and that one piece is ending soon, and my brain just. cannot comprehend it. i dont know if its just denial or what but i fully believe it won't end for another 5 years.. i havent experienced enough of the one piece world!!! i need more!! tell me everything about everyone in one piece PLEASE . it cant end . and those thoughts have been plaguing my mind since i restarted it LOL

looking at old forums to see peoples opinions from when each chapter dropped is genius??? i might have to do that.. i want to see their theories. i want to say "you have no idea whats in store...." or admire how smart they are for guessing things correctly

i find it funny that u like sanji cuz i have such complicated feelings around him. like he was my absolute favorite upon first introduction. i loved his kindness, i loved his interactions with gin, and i thought he was cool as hell. he was definitely a positive role model for my very damaged child brain. but i think the pervert joke and him treating women differently has pretty much ruined him for me. when i was younger a part of me felt like it was only right that he treat women better, but im pretty sure i just felt that way bc i hated the experience of being born female so much that the only way i could cope was by taking every and any advantage i could get. and then i figured out i was non binary.. and hes been turned into the most cartoonishly disgusting pervert .. and i see his potential and it just.. UGH!! you could have been so good. anyways all my feelings around him make it a lot more interesting to see u talk about him!! usually i just headcanon him as transfem and that satiates my burning rage and hatred towards him. but seeing sanji likers talk about liking sanji makes me actually like sanji more!! at this rate i might turn back into a sanji fan

im not in any one piece fan spaces but i AM consuming one piece content as often as possible (so all day. i dont have. a job. or school.). i know this is most likely a passing hyperfixation for me but im loving it anyways. i will definitely keep an eye on ur blog bc im sooo excited for when u catch up. im having so much fun theorizing about the end of the story and . and i hope u will too!! eek rant over thanks for listening (metaphorically)

yea as u can tell its a little complicated for me too lmao ( i mean. the damn thing has been going on longer than i've been alive, so. it's touched many people in many ways. and it's complicated in its OWN right which. i'll get to. but holy shit 7 is younger than i expected! thats still a pretty long history (though i cant talk bc at age 4 i had a crush on goku even tho i had no idea what was happening half the time i was watching the dbz reruns on tv </3) and YEA. YEA THE MANGA IS. SO MUCH MORE STREAMLINED AND WELL PACED. EVEN THO I MISS THE COLOR AND MOVEMENT AND VOICE ACTING OF THE ANIME it was just takin too long. and i really like oda's art, so...reading the manga lets me look at it better. and there's more care put into the frames. but overall ur right the manga is chefs kiss in comparison to other versions (WHICH ARENT BAD!! JUST...SLOW. and though i think the live action wasnt really NEEDED i did. like it. and it is what got me back into op + got me caught up through east blue a lot faster HAHA)

tbh hearing that its in its last saga made me feel like i got into one piece at a really good time bc if i plan it right i can catch up and then follow along with the release for only a little while until its done. also the live action s2 and the "The One Piece" reanimated anime will be coming soon too. the content saturation is everywhere 👍(showering in it) THOUGH I DO FEEL A BIT PRESSURED LIKE. WHAT IF ONE PIECE FINISHES BEFORE I CATCH UP . which is insane bc im almost to wano (even though i hear wano is really long). and also...i think its been called the final "saga" but idk if that means final ARC you know...kinda like how water 7 and enies lobby kinda blend into one. or impel down and marineford are lumped together. idk i feel like we got a bit more. i just feel like there's so much we havent got answered yet and i dont think oda would just leave that stuff hanging. i know there;s a list out there of things that one piece needs to adress/come back to before it finishes but i havent looked at it bc im afraid of spoilers. however, just in my own mind theres a LOT i know has to happen that we need plenty of time for!! so. i wouldnt be surprised if it WAS 5 more years. i mean like...shanks needs to happen. i think zoro and sanji are gonna have a battle at some point (based on stuff ive seen from wano. im assuming) they gotta see laboon again. gotta revisit shirahoshi's situation. gotta see the dreams come true of each crewmate. tie off loose ends of side characters like tashigi and koby and the warlords. yanno

the "you have no idea what's in store.." is literally my exact emotions . i havent done it for this fandom YET but i plan to go to forums reading over ppl's theories like this

no but actually no matter how complicated someone's feelings are towards sanji i promise you for sanji likers they are probably 100x more complicated unless they're weird dudebros who think he's cool (which he is but only like 10% of the time and not when he's being a chauvinistic ass)

one thing about me is that i. hate doing things that are distasteful or offensive in any capacity and that extends to the media i consume in that i dont like consuming media that is excessively problematic. i understand nuance so like OBVIOUSLY nothing is perfect and everything has problematic elements - but for a lot of shows there's one too many things on one side of the scale and i just dont like having that guilt on my shoulders consuming it. one piece fits that category but it's also SO BIG and SO LONG and its been going on for a WHILE and is such a phenomenon that i can let SOME stuff "slide"...and also realize "bitch one piece is so popular and near its end at this point that you, a single tumblr user, liking it or not liking it is not going to make a difference" and i'm (still) trying to make peace with that. things like oda's passive racism, The Entirety of Kamabakka Kingdom (literally don't even get me started), his blatant sexism in universe and his own opinions in the SBS...i've just come to realize i need to consume my media critically but still let myself have fun. im going through a rough period in life and this happens to be what my brain hyperfixated on and i cant change that so might as well have this outlet. ive made a lot of friends and am really enjoying the story for its good parts (found family, anti government and anti authoritarianism, importance of dreams and ambition and self love, the importance of mental health and trauma and how your past doesnt define you...etc)

i extend a lot of this thinking to sanji, too. to be fair i dont remember why he became my favorite. i think he was my fav when i watched it all those years ago but he wasnt a BIG FAV or anything. watching film red and the opla i think i went into it remembering he was my fav and he just stayed that way, but then i watched more and really started to like him for reasons like 1. im weak to flirtatious characters in general 2. im also weak to blonde men 😔 3. he's an asshole with a kind heart and i love a good juxtaposition 4. he just has some really cool badass moments tbh 5. and he's a LOT. i love characters that are a lot. he's loud and messy and overreactive and prissy and insecure and self sacrificing and also just SECRETLY ONE OF THE KINDEST MOST COMPASSIONATE MEMBERS OF THE CREW? notice how none of these have to do with his pervert shtick lmao

i do actually like his woman thing to an extent, i think its cute when its just him having heart eyes at every woman he sees and being weak to literally any woman who looks at him- cause that's still putting women on a pedestal, but its a fairly harmless character flaw for a fictional character to have. pre-timeskip sanji is a gift for all these reasons. and like, thats when everyone fell in love w his character i think. i MIGHT even forgive his whole "i wont hit a woman" thing bc its not like he doesnt think women shouldnt be hit in general to such an extent (i dont think he ever opposes to anyone else doing it on the crew, HE just doesnt like doing it PERSONALLY bc its his own moral principle he wont break just like the whole wont fight with his hands thing) even if the whole thing stems from the sexist belief women are lesser/weaker (esp after his backstory reveals some stuff)

but the pervert shtick? and the WRITING HIM AS TRANSPHOBIC/HOMOPHOBIC THING?? yea i literally hate that part of his character so much and wish it wasnt added. like i see how it relates to the character oda has decided sanji is but i still dont think it was needed. or okay. lol. i dont think any sanji fan actually likes this part of him. somedays i look at myself in the mirror and i'm like "am i fangirling over a more conventionally attractive bnha mineta rn" and i put on my clown makeup

Sebastian Drapewood is a character from the show The Afterparty, which is centered around a mysterious death/murder. He is a suspect in the murder.

Night is...well...the God of Night, Basically the Greek Goddess Nyx, if she were male presenting, more often.

Yuki is from the anime Fruit Baskets. Which you requested I play at one point some years ago but haven't gotten to interact with him yet.

Dagbert is the son of Asher, born from the union of Lust and Wrath.

Briar you've met before, and is the alter of my muse Milo. He's a Wonderlandian wolf-Wonderlandian human Hybrid. And son to the King of Hearts, Asher Cooke.

Gawain is a man who was born one part of a set of twins to a famous music industry family. He later accepts a vacation to a mysterious island where he was later trapped, along with others who were also tricked into going.

Butters' real name is Leopold and he is from the show South Park. His parents were extremely abusive to him when he was growing up. As well, his friends were also prone to abuse or mistreat him, too. Now he just goes to college and still hangs out with those same people.

Eugene is also from the show The Afterparty. But he is instead, the murder victim. And he's an asshole, say the other characters. Which he very much acts out that way, because he's still got a middle school mentality and feels betrayed by his former best friend Yasper.

basically i got the idea cuze I watched the live action One Piece and i was like... mmm op x twa and then realised i could just make a fucking pirate au like a normal person JDKFJ- it still has a lot of inspo from OP (Jp and Critic's relationship in this AU basically like a combination of Usopp/Kaya and Sanji/Zoro and then warlords, marines and snail phones ive just kinda directly ripped off the show LOL) but otherwise its not that similar plot wise (mostly because i dont have a plot in mind at this point but tbh this is just a sillay au there doesn't need to be a plot 😇)

JP is a pirate captain cuz he just needs to have an important role smh 😒 his crew has 2 (maybe 3 idk yet) people aside from himself and he wants to throw borh of them off the ship real bad but cant cuze then who'd he be annoying to?!

Why Sanji is a Transgender Woman – A One Piece Essay No-One Asked For

Does contain spoilers!

Now, I’ll start off by saying I know a lot of people will disagree with me on this. And that’s okay! Honestly, different fan theories are one of the best things about being in a fandom. The only thing I would ask is for people to restrain from transphobia in their replies. I can wholeheartedly promise that if you do this, you will be ignored to death.

Sanji has issues, that’s clear enough. What I absolutely love about how One Piece handled Sanji is Oda taking what looked to be this typical anime perv character and delving into his issues with toxic masculinity, his father issues, and giving plenty of subtext as to why he is obsessed with women. You don’t need a psychiatrist’s degree to see that Sanji was heavily abused by his father and brothers, while his mother and sister showed him love and kindness. So it’s no wonder he gets angry and defensive towards men, while showering women with affection.

But this theory delves deeper into Sanji’s issues and explores the transgender tendencies the character shows. One thing that does worry me about this is that Sanji could very well embody the myth of ‘that trans person who just says they’re trans because they want to see nekked ladies in the locker rooms.’ But because I know Sanji’s backstory, I honestly have more sympathy for him here and don’t see how that could be the case. For one because I know he just wants to look not hurt/assault anyone, two because I grew up in a privileged generation of the internet so anytime I wanted to see naked ladies I literally just typed that into google (when I was thirteen my father bought my a computer for my room after he found out I wanted to be a writer lol) and lastly he suffers from a serious case of ‘Boarding School Syndrome.’

For those of you who didn’t grow up in Europe, this is basically when you’re sent to an ‘all boys’ or ‘all girls’ school and spend your entire puberty exclusively around people of that gender. So when you come out it’s natural to be excited by seeing people of the opposite gender, which can lead to some inappropriate behaviour. Not sexual assault (there is no excuse for that) or anything serious, just inappropriate social behaviour. Since Sanji grew up in an all-male environment it’s natural for him to want to be around women and to get over-excited.

So with that out the way, let me power forward with my silly, little theory. (I will also be using she/her pronouns beyond this point. I will also be referring to Anime-exclusive scenes as part of the canon.)

Let’s start with the most obvious point that comes up: Kamabakka Kingdom.

Sanji was sent here after the battle at Sabaody by the warlord Kuma. The warlord looked into the Strawhat’s hearts and picked destinations where they would be able to maximise their skills and train to become stronger. In Sanji, he saw that Kamabakka would suit her well.

This is obviously because of the 99 recipes, there being an opportunity for Sanji to grow as a cook. But it can’t just be coincidence that this is the island of “Girlie Hearts.”

Let me also put in the disclaimer that I am well aware that the residents of Kamabakka are not, or at least not all, transgender women. I suspect some are, but most are just cisgender men who like to live their lives in a femme manner without judgement. But even this terrifies Sanji! Throughout the series, she is shown to be literally afraid of feminine men. This isn’t just someone mildly uncomfortable by something they don’t understand- she completely freaks out.

Because she is scared of being seen this way. She doesn’t want to embrace being female as she doesn’t want the world to see her as a comical man in a dress. This is honestly a fear a lot of transwomen go through and one that is not easily overcome.

Let’s also mention how Caroline manages to open up that part of Sanji during their fight. The technique was called ‘A Maiden’s True Awakening.’ For that to have worked, there would have had to be a Maiden to awaken to begin with.

Caroline’s speech to Sanji during quotes verbatim things I have said about Sanji prior to this scene. Mostly the whole ‘deceiving your own heart and being honest with yourself thing.’ It’s easy to brush the scene off as purely comical filler, but it’s also fair to look for a deeper meaning behind it.

(Also, we can’t ignore that Sanji already knew how to run, jump and kick in heels when fighting Caroline. I’m sorry, but you don’t know how to do that if it’s your first time! She’s done a little experimenting before this.)

I also want to put in the side note that were Sanji to transition, I don’t think she would immediately find Ivankov. I think she would just start living as a woman and go through traditional medicated routes. The reason for this being that Ivan’s power is tied to a devil fruit so her transition would ultimately be tied to Ivan. Ergo if something happened to Ivan it might reverse the effects. There is also the point that Sanji’s body would go through an immediate, drastic transformation which she would have to learn to handle in combat. Even if she could swap between physical sexes as some treated by Ivan can, that would mean having to go back to her old body, which would be very difficult for someone with gender dysphoria.

I’m not trying to imply that women aren’t as strong as men, just that if your body looks one way then suddenly looks another, one has to learn how to do everything with their body all over again. Getting used to the way it moves and handles. This would undoubtedly affect her combat abilities, which would potentially endanger her family. A gradual medical transition would give her the chance to get used to the changes as they come.

Based on what I’ve seen of the medical world in One Piece, including references to hormones and cosmetic surgery, I think a medical transition would be possible.

Kambakka is not even my biggest piece of evidence that Sanji is transgender. It merely plants the seed.

The biggest argument has to be Punk Hazard. Oh sweet Lord, where to begin with Punk Hazard!

I’ve seen in many Animes and other forms of entertainment: the body swap cliché. Every time there is always some cis man excited to be in a woman’s body and immediately squeezes their boobies. Which to be honest is natural. It’s natural to be curious about what it would feel like to have a different body. It’s not a sign of gender dysphoria, just curiosity!

But when this happens, the excited character squeezes their boobs and then carries on with things.

Sanji however is purley overjoyed to be in Nami’s body, showing extreme gender euphoria. She loves the experience and looks honestly happier than she normally does. It’s a body that she wants.

What hammers this home is when she literally begs Law not to change them back. After he does, she becomes incredibly depressed stating: “The dream is over.”

That’s not a reaction someone would have if they were happy with their original body. You could view this purely as Sanji being a pervert and wanting to see Nami naked or touch her. Or we could look at the tears in her eyes and recognise some pain there.

Finally, let’s move onto the big issue here. How Sanji views women.

I’m sure we can all agree that Sanji’s obsession with women stems from good old Daddy/Mummy issues. After Whole Cake, so much about Sanji’s character just made sense. As Freudian as it seems, she trusts women because she could only trust her mother and her sister growing up. She wants to protect women because women showed her kindness while the men in her life rejected her. We can also attribute this to her actual father Papa-Zeff drumming into her chivalry ideals that she can’t abandon as they were given to her by the father figure she could trust.

I could write a whole new essay about why Sanji views women the way she does (and I intend to.) But let’s focus on gender dysphoria.

The way Sanji treats women isn’t healthy. It’s patronising and degrading. (Although as of Chapter 1005 we can see she is growing and working on seeing women as capable. I literally cried when she asked for Robin’s help!)

However, she does show a lot of signs of gender dysphoria during her obsession with women. She sees them as these flawless, ethereal beings rather than actual people. They are angels and she is a mere mortal in their presence. This is not a normal way to view women. She puts them on a pedestal, because they have something that she wants, but doesn’t realise she can have. Obsession so often stems from not being able to have something.

There is also a clear sense of lack of self-worth in Sanji. Time and time again she’s been too ready to give herself and her own safety up for her crewmates. There could be an element of gender dysphoria involved here too, as she on some subconscious level knows she is living an inauthentic life.

I really love the way Sanji’s character has developed since the beginning of One Piece. She’ll always be my favourite character. She’s beautiful, loyal, and brave. She’s comical certainly, but that’s what makes her so likable! I’m very much looking forward to seeing how her story finishes.

This is purely one fan exploring what they see and the reason behind it.

But rest assured, no I’m not letting go of this Head-Canon. Sorry, not sorry.

MHA Theory: Is a TodoDeku Ending Possible?

Okay, before BakuDeku or OchaDeku or other shippers go up in arms against me, I am not an avid shipper. The idea of shipping was cute and I adored it until I saw what hardcore shipping does to a fandom community, so I don’t ship as much as I used to. I’m looking into this as a fan of the series, not as a shipper.

That being said, this is only a theory. A My Hero Academia Theory! .... So, there is a likely chance that it won’t happen, especially since my argument that it could happen is relatively weak (imo), making it even less likely.

Anyways, let’s get to it, shall we? Warning, this theory may contain spoilers for endings of Bleach, Naruto, and maybe Fairy Tail.

But, please. Be civil. This isn’t a place to bash other ships. All ships is valid...except for those that are gross. You guys know what I mean.

In a lot of shounen anime, there’s usually a love interest for the main protagonist of the story, the main heroine. At the end of the story, they get together. Two examples are Ichigo and Orihime in Bleach, Naruto and Hinata in...Naruto, and Natsu and Lucy in Fairy Tail.

Of these great anime, One Piece is probably one of the few anime that is not going to follow this formula because a) Oda came out and said that none of the Strawhats are gonna be romantically involved with each other, and B) Luffy isn’t doesn’t seem to care much for such relationships.

(Let me say that don’t let this deter you from doing fanworks of Luffy x Nami or Sanji x Robin or any ships)

One of the things MHA is amazing with is deconstructing or even out right averting common shounen tropes. I’ll probably make a post about this in a later future.

Another thing MHA is great with showing is that we get to see men not being afraid of showing emotions

Basically, MHA does its hardest to divert.

So, what if the series ends with not a heteronormative couple?

Don’t get me wrong. OchaDeku is flippin’ adorable and it must be protected and Ochako is just as precious as Izuku.

I mean, yeah, Izuku still gets flustered around Ochako and the girl was shown that she has started to developed feelings for him and (for manga readers) chapter 325!

But, for the sake of this theory, it’s also kinda generic shounen. An easy argument against this is that Izuku being flustered doesn’t equal romantic feelings and you could be right. Also, keep in mind that Izuku barely had friends growing and when he first met Ochako, he was in awe that he talked to a girl.

By this logic, Izuku is just being anxious about him being around girls, a typical nerd boy reaction. He does the same when Hatsume got into his personal space.

So, would it being interesting for TodoDeku to happen?

Izuku helped Todoroki so much during the Sports Festival and Todoroki was indeed grateful for that. And Izuku continued to support Todoroki whenever he has an issue and Todoroki would do the same for Izuku.

I’m sure some would ask about BakuDeku because of...the whole damn story! Lol!

And I see your point! But, wouldn’t that be a bit cliched too? I’ll come out and say that I’m not a fan of the Childhood Romance cliché.

Really though, at the end of the day, whatever happens is up to Horikoshi. This is his story that he is writing. For all we know, Izuku may not end up with...anybody! Whatever happens - OchaDeku or whatever - I’m cool with it.

Maybe, I’ll make a post about ships and how the ships could work. Really, what was fun about ships was the potential of the relationships.

One Piece Fantasy Cottage Event

3-in-1 Event Masterlist

I have finally decided what I wanted to do for the 3-in-1 event and name it One Piece Fantasy Cottage Event! This event was going to take place in June but I found out my family planned two weeks of vacation for my 21st birthday so I will be quite busy at that time which would also be this blog’s birthday : ( So here we are a month early and this event will stay open until I get overwhelmed lol. Before we continue to the event this is a reminder but any requests for this event must be for One Piece characters. I will do any character up to the Whole Island Cake arc. I am willing to try other characters past that but if I am unconfident in them, I will delete that request. I am not writing for other fandoms in this event. Okay now here we go:

Imagine you stumble upon a cottage in the forest, with a lake nearby. It has a mysterious vibe to it but also one of calmness. You decide to check it out. The closer you get, the more pretty the surroundings come to be. It is surreal. It is like you stepped into a painting.

The color of the flowers surrounding the homey little cottage stands out. The greens of the plants nearby wanting you to come closer. The lake seems to glisten and glitter as your hand goes out to the doorknob. You hesitate- The hesitance a feeling that this place is too good to be true. Or that you are about to disturb the majestic feeling of this mysterious cottage. Then you feel a calm wash over you. A calling for you to open the door so…

You open the door. Inside is even calmer, silent even. The cottage is near empty, but three doors lay before you. Each with a sign.

The first door says: To celebrate the milestone of 1k followers, I dare yee to enter the library of fantasies where you can pick a character(s), your gender, the genre, and any fantasy creature, monster, or mythical lore (Who do you want to be the fantasy creature? Or it a character as well in this story?) and any details to live out a short story written by the creator of this cottage.

(Basically, this is the door where I will write anything fantasy!au related!)

Example: I entered the library of fantasies. May I get knight!Zoro with a gender-neutral Reader, fluff, and a dragon (Zoro slays the dragon or they adopt it- something of that sort)!

Library of fantasies! May I get a fae!Robin with a female Reader, genre angst!

Etc. Any creature basically goes here! And a reminder that fairy and faerie are different!

The second door says: To celebrate this blog’s 1st anniversary, I dare yee to enter the library of memories where you can pick a character(s), your gender, the genre, a memory of something you treasure or maybe despise with that character of your choosing, and any details you wish to add to that memory to remember a short story written by the creator of this cottage.

(This door I will basically write anything you want to “remember” with a character.)

Example: I entered the library of memories. May I get Robin with a non-binary reader, their first kiss with fluff, please?

Library of memories! May I get poly Zoro and Sanji with a Male Reader, break up with angst, please?

The third door says: To celebrate the creator of this cottage’s birthday, I dare yee to enter the library of birthdays where you can pick a character(s), your gender, and a gift (please say what gift you or your character want) and any details you wish to add to see how you or your character would live out their special birthday day, a short story written by the creator of this cottage.

(Of course, this is the birthday part since my birthday is coming up lol so this will just be plain out fluff or nsfw)

Example: I entered the library of birthdays. May I get Luffy (who gets the gift of dinner that reader made) with a female reader?

Library of birthdays! May I get Ace with a nonbinary Reader (who gets a necklace as a gift)?

That is all the doors say. You suddenly get a note in your hand from the creator of this cottage:

Dear Reader: Lol, I apologize if any of that is confusing! I really wanted to do a theme and thought of this while looking at cottagecore aesthetics. I thought this would be perfect for the 3-in-1 event! Just pick a door, make sure to read the examples, and make sure you read what you need to write for that door when requesting!

As for the rules of this event- All I ask is that you guys are polite and patient since it is my first major event on here. (I may be biting off more than I can chew but I am very excited!) My goal is to keep it going for as long as I can for this month or until I get overwhelmed and need to temporarily close the askbox in order to work on these.

You are more than welcomed to request multiple things or in this case doors! Just send your requests separately to avoid confusion. Please do not spam me with requests though.

You can request multiple characters (as in poly or love triangle) and most of these writings will turn out to be scenarios or one-shots! You can also choose multiple characters and have them be separate but those will only be headcanons.

Also- If you want your request to be nsfw in any way, please add that and any details for it, but know for anons, I will only be doing Hint of Spice and tagging it as so (meaning the most nsfw for anons will be is make-outs) since I may be a bit uncomfortable doing extreme nsfw for anons on this event.

zosanlawlu. all four of them. every configuration of them has different dynamics and i love every single one of them, theyre complicated theyre stupid theyve been THROUGH it and LOOK i have so many reasons and headcanons but WAY TOO MANY to list here in PUBLIC so im just giving you the bare minimum (he said and failed and also died) (honestly i could probably write a separate post about how i see their relationships specifically if anyones interested, either that or just DM me i love talking about them jaldkfalksdf) (also. here onwards is just. hc dump LOL)

so. so alright. you take these four. put them at the very center of everything. and you let em go wild.

law? marines look in the mirror and tell themselves "do NOT fuck the pirate" and fail every single time. drake? smoker? koby? law's been there. he doesnt give a fuck. dr. heart stealer. probably not even attracted to them he just likes the power trip lol. and besides the marines and various one night stands? penguin and shachi. theyve been his partners for years and anyone who intends to stay as more than a one night stand or friends with benefits or whatever has to go through them first lol (i blame @slashseeker for this i love you and your massive brain), and they accepted the straw hats immediately no matter how much law INSISTED theyre JUST allies

also. headcanon: law and kid fucked at LEAST once and kid will NOT let him forget about it. law insists it will never happen again. it will absolutely happen again.

then.

sanji. i'll keep this short. my favorite bisexual disaster. hopeless romantic. dont get me started on the sanji fanclub bc this post will never end. i WILL mention acesan because come on, ace was sanjis biwakening, you know that i know that we all know that.

oh and pedro. sweet beautiful pedro. sanji you fucking furry. moving on!

zoro....zoro. he's easy but he'll never take it further. he rarely spends the night and if he does he's out of there first thing in the morning. he's simply not interested. he has his hands full with his captain and the cook...and law, well, law was an easy addition to their lives once luffy Assimilated him into them. things just HAPPENED on that submarine on the way to wano and that was that. (also, if they want to share him with their lovers, well, he's not about to complain lol)

and lastly. luffy. luffy has everyone wrapped around his finger. he knows this. yet at the same time hes absolutely clueless as to what hes ACTUALLY doing. like one day usopp will tell him "how do YOU OF ALL PEOPLE manage to keep this many boyfriends at the same time wtf" and luffy will go. what the hell are you talking about. then usopp will explain it to him. and luffy will say "ohhhh i get it. wait so then youre my boyfriend too? haha nice :)". usopp has yet to recover.

and look. look ive talked way too much already and i could keep going and going about luffy specifically but. luffy loves in a way thats simply unique to him. and hes selfish! he'll take and take and take but he always knows exactly what to give to his people, often even better than what they themselves know they need.

A N Y W A Y this got WAY OUT OF HAND as i knew it would and i didnt even talk about the specifics of their relationships LMFAO so uh. yeah. take this. take this and never speak of it again (unless...)

ZoNa Valentine’s Week: Day 4 Why I Ship ZoNa: Part 1

So because i’ve never explained why I ship ZoNa, I’ve decided to use this Valentine’s Week as an excuse to make 3 separate posts on why I ship them.

They will be long posts because I am relying on the gifs I made of the anime rather than the manga (even though the manga may be more accurate, but I just started reading the manga so give me some time lol)

OKAY LET’S START.....

So just as a preface: First and foremost these two have known each other the longest. I’m not saying that in order to be a couple you need to know someone for a long time, but in ZoNa’s case I feel like it’s an important part of their relationship.

They started out as friends then shit went down in Arlong Park (namely where Nami plays the villain for a hot second and that shakes Zoro up cause he had trusted her) but then everything was settled and they went back to being friends.

I feel like that incident was necessary not only for the plot, but for Zoro and Nami’s relationship to develop. After everything, they now have full trust in the other and their relationship was able to evolve.

This all leads me to my first reason as to why I ship ZoNa:

1. They are friends FIRST

Yes, I ship them as a couple, but I believe that all successful relationships begin as friends (that’s just my own personal belief). A foundation built on friendship and mutual understanding and trust is what I believe allows this ship to sail.

And despite the fact that everyone thinks Nami and Zoro are only capable of fighting and butting heads, they are actually very good friends who are capable of holding normal conversations.

Exhibit A (Ep.54) : Nami took notice of how Zoro was acting strange and commented on it. She’s aware of his presence and isn’t just writing him off. And this also shows that she cares about him.

Exhibit B (Ep. 62) : Zoro wanted Nami’s opinion on what the strange sound he heard was. Also Nami is taking the time to answer him; she could’ve just ignored him completely but she decided to pay him attention.

Exhibit C (Ep. 154): This is a very brief moment, but Zoro and Nami have a conversation about dropping anchor and the layout of the island. And they are both on the ship alone and idk I like to think that Zoro was waiting for Nami to be done changing so that they could go on the island together.

Exhibit D (Ep. 161): Nami wanting Zoro’s opinion as to if he saw anything. Just shows that she trusts his judgment and how she can rely on him.

Exhibit E (Ep. 161): Short conversation, but still important. Zoro is showing concern and care for Nami by telling her to be more careful. And Nami is replying sincerely.

Exhibit F (Ep. 217): Zoro notices Nami is mad without even looking at her. If that doesn’t tell you how well he knows her by now, then idk what does. But it’s also important that Zoro is listening to her concerns and commenting on them.

So YES, they can hold normal conversations, here is the proof! And having known each other the longest, they also know the other well.

Zoro can spot Nami’s money obsession anytime, anywhere. (Ep.105)

And Nami knows how much Zoro loves sake, so she went out of her way to get it for him. (look at how happy he is hehe) (Ep. 255)

And this ⤵ gif (Ep. 159) is one of my newfound favorite moments and leads us into the next reason. It’s not in the manga, but maybe the animators are also ZoNa fans....??

2. They are comfortable around eachother.

Okay, but doesn’t it seem like Zoro is teasing Nami?!?! She almost ran into a tree and then Zoro is like “oooo a perfect opportunity to tease her”. Idk I just found this part super cute. Like Zoro isn’t usually one to be playful like this, but he is with Nami and ughhh it’s so cute!

And then the multiple times that Zoro is seen sitting/sleeping next to/near Nami. It just shows that they don’t mind each other’s company and honestly (intentional or not) I think they gravitate towards each other because of how comfortable they are with each other.

Exhibit A (46): He came to sit next to her during breakfast when he could’ve sat down next to his captain. Like is this his seat? Has he claimed the spot next to Nami as his own? ..... I like to think so.

Exhibit B (48): The start of Zoro’s debt. I just love how Nami leans in and he doesn’t seem to mind it hehe.

Exhibit C (Episode of Alabasta): The circumstance here was a bit different, but I like to think that she just wanted to be close to Zoro. And idc who tf you are, but if you were in Zoro’s position you can’t just not think about or be conscious about the woman on you. Like yeah you can call yourself friends, but you gotta be at least a bit conscious of where you’re touching and what’s touching you.

Exhibit D (Ep.149) : The start of the famed drinking buddies act. Nami moved here after pouring Robin a drink so I like to think that she felt comfortable and decided to settle down next to him. So i’m guessing Zoro’s seat is next to Nami during breakfast, and Nami’s seat is next to Zoro when they’re drinking?!

Exhibit E (Ep. 193): Psssst Zoro, just scoot your hand over a smidgen

Exhibit F (Ep. 225) : Before one of my favorite parts in the Foxy Arc (that will be shown in another part hehe).

Exhibit G (Ep 228): The two of them were up here alone before Sanji came. I like to think that Nami was relaxing and then Zoro came up wordlessly and just plopped down and fell asleep (before Sanji interrupted)

Exhibit H ( Ep 554): Honestly, Zoro is used to it at this point. And this just proves that Nami believes in his strength and believes that he will protect her no matter what.

Exhibit I (569): Ah yes the drinking buddies, an upgrade from Sky Island.

Exhibit J (569): Ah yes the sobering-up buddies. I made another post (here) on this, but I like to think Zoro likes being near her so he can protect her.

Now, I’d also like to make the argument that them butting heads is actually proof of how close they are.

Nami isn’t afraid of getting close to him and giving him a piece of her mind. Remember in my previous post when Zoro does this with Nami (who is Sanji in Nami’s body). Yeah, they def don’t mind being close to each other even when it comes to arguing.

(Ep 93)

You’d think Zoro would learn that he can rarely win an argument with Nami, but nah, that ain’t Zoro. Personally, I think Zoro low key likes arguing with her. Aside from Nami the only one he really argues with is Sanji (but even then what they argue about is usually something petty). (Ep 147)

I really like this gif because it shows that Zoro is trying to explain to Nami why they did what they did. She thinks they were “beaten”, but that isn’t necessarily correct, so he was trying to get her to see the real picture.... which she didn’t. lol (Ep 151)

But if there’s one thing I noticed about Zoro and Nami’s relationship when it comes to arguing, it’s that the other party is trying to get the other one to see from their point of view; they don’t argue just to argue.

Putting aside the fact that they were arguing about marriage (although if they ever did get married I’d think Nami would want something extravagant while Zoro would just be like “whatever just wake me up when I have to go in” ah okay my imagination is running wild.. stop stop)

Anyway, this part is important because this time it’s Nami who is trying to get Zoro to see from her point of view. Of course, she can’t do so without yelling and gnashing teeth, but the sentiment is the same-she wants Zoro to understand where she’s coming from. (Ep 764)

I mean look, friends have differing viewpoints and thoughts. Yes, they may disagree, but in the end it doesn’t really matter because people can still think differently but be close. Ever heard the saying “opposites attract”? yeah, that’s basically ZoNa in a nutshell. They may argue and disagree, but I think that brings them even closer.

And Zoro is usually referred to as the “calm and cool” guy, but the fact that he easily loses his “cool” over something slight that Nami says, idk I just find that cute that she’s able to get under his skin like that.

I love the dynamic between the two. They’re opposites who like to fight, but always have each other’s backs and couldn’t stand to see the other hurt.

Hi all,

i posted this fanfic on fan fiction.net in the New Year and thought I should share this on tumblr for those who are looking for more ZoNa, just like me. You can find this here.

This was one of my first fanfics but I haven’t updated the story in like forever so am looking to go back to writing fanfics. Hopefully, you’ll enjoy the chapter as much as I did.

You don’t need to read the other chapters as they are not really connected - sort of. We haven’t entered the main plot at all so not connected as of yet. But reading chapter 6 may help you understand some of the things in this chapter.

Summary: What if Zoro and Nami were childhood friends? How different would their lives be? Lot's of one shots set in an AU where Zoro and Nami are childhood friends. Mugiwara crew will also make an appearance. (It’s one of those close balcony friendship - cringe i know lmao, was young when I started LOL)

Zoro was completing his usual workout, but from home. He groaned, lifting the 15 kg weights for the 96th time. He needed to lift the weights 4 more times and he had to do it soon or Nami was going to barge in, ruining his schedule.

"97...98...99" he counted. He was lifting it for the last time when he smelt her signature fragrance.

"100" he grunted, dropping the weights and closing his eyes in peace. He felt her soft bosom on his back and her arms around him, as she completely pushed her body against him.

A single trail of sweat dropped from his temple to his cheek from the work out. He was too tired to push her away so he stood still, just breathing in and out to stabilise his heartbeat. However, this proved to be difficult as he could only smell her with every breath, and felt her soft small hands on his abs...wait... did he just feel her hands underneath his shirt?

"What the hell witch?" he spat, as his hands automatically stopped hers from outside of his shirt.

Nami was a flirt and loved teasing men, especially Zoro. She loved taking advantage of her beauty and loved getting her way. It was either her way or the highway. She was a greedy witch and she loved every part about it.

"Zoroooo" she said with a tone, a tone Zoro knew too well. It was a tone she used to get her way. A tone that often worked in nosebleed kun, which was not going to work on him.

"Seriously, what are you doing Nami?" he said, turning his head slightly to see what Nami was up to.

"I'm helping you remove your top." She said trying to move her hands, which was useless as Zoro clutched onto them.

"What do you want?"

"To eat." Nami said cheerfully. Today both their parents were out drinking while Nojiko was at university so it was only him and her. But their parents trusted them, hell they even encouraged to utilise their alone time and do something naughty. Nami's stepfather, Genzo, loved Zoro's wisdom and the way he respected elders. He would want nothing but for Zoro to take his no good spoilt daughter as his wife. While Zoro's father loved having Nami around and would be happy if someone, anyone could accept his muscle idiot of a son.

"And what does eating have anything to do with getting naked?" Zoro said with an eyebrow.

She withdrew her hand from underneath his t-shirt, away from his well built abs. Zoro was saddened at the departure of her warmth but was glad at the same time.

She pinched her nose, "well you kinda stink."

"Hurry and go take a shower. We are going to Baratie." she said, folding her arms, knowing Zoro was going to complain about meeting Sanji-kun.

"Baratie?" Zoro said, his voice slightly louder than he intended it to.

"Yes Baratie, Zoro, Baratie" Nami repeated it twice for her words to reach Zoro's head.

"We will be meeting up with Luffy there as well. Have a nice dinner and drink something nice. Well, Luffy won't. But we can." she said, making drinking gestures.

Zoro liked the idea of drinking with Nami. Maybe, they could resume their ongoing bet as well. Their bet of who can withstand drinks longer was still on hold as they either tie or come out drunk at the end of it. But seeing that shit head took the fun out of it.

He turned around, wiping his forehead clean with his left arm, showing off his biceps in the process. Nami's eyes fluttered to his biceps, enjoying the view he presented her.

"Will we see nosebleed kun as well?" he asked.

She made a face, "who is nosebleed kun? Don't make fun of Sanji kun." She said slapping his chest. Just to feel how hard it was and oh, it was hard.

"Just answer the damn question." he said, removing his top in front of her. His whole body seemed to be living as Nami could see each and every muscle in his body ripple against his skin whilst he removed his t-shirt. His nipples whispered hello to her and oh god, his abs. She trailed a single sweat that dropped from his neck, which made its way between his collar bone, past his chest, crossed his abs and disappeared in his belly button

"like what you see?" He said smirking at how fixated she was with his abs.

She quickly looked up to see him smirking at her, with that stupid grin. She was not gonna let him be the only winner.

"Nope, not at all." she said turning, throwing her hair to his face in the process, and moving towards the door. Zoro closed his eyes naturally and as he opened his eyes to shout some vain remarks to Nami, all he saw was her ass and hips moving side to side towards the door. She didn't need to say anything because she knew he was already looking.

"Be ready by 5 and come over as soon as you're ready." She said before leaving the room completely.

"Oh and invite law." she said with a wink.

Zoro was ready in 10 mins. He put on a simple white top, jeans and a simple black denim jacket. He looked over his balcony to the other side with a frown.

She is definitely still getting ready.

He went over anyways to pressure her into getting ready quicker, only to find her putting on a skirt that didn't fit. Zoro could see the plumps of skin near the waist of the skirt and her ass as she was struggling to put it on. She was wearing a pink lace thong that illuminated the pale skin underneath. His shameful eyes drank the scene in front of him; her buns juggled as she shook her ass to try to fit the skirt. Damn, that is one big ass, he thought. His hands twitched to slap her right cheek but he shook the thoughts away.

"I don't think that fits Nami." He spoke in a low husky voice.

His voice surprised her, causing her to trip over herself and lose her balance, falling face forward. As a result, her ass was high up in the air and Nami put herself on display for him. He choked on his own spit at the scene in front of her. And that thong was not helping, it practically covered nothing with her ass high up for him to see.

With a tint of blush, he turned around to give her privacy.

"What the hell Zoro!" she turned her head from the ground and was relieved when she found him facing the other way.

She got up and got rid of the skirt. The skirt was velvet and in the colour red. It was short enough to show her smooth legs and just long enough to cover the important parts. Although the skirt didn't fit her, she got it on a 80% sale and her first instinct was to buy it. It was a bargain and was the last piece after all! It's a shame it doesn't fit as it would definitely look good on her.

She was dressed casual for today and was wearing a white cami top with lace detailed front. She was going to wear that velvet skirt with it but decided to replace it with high waisted ripped jeans. She felt a bit exposed after Zoro found her in her thong trying to wear a skirt that didn't fit! So she decided to go with something that would cover her legs.

"Just so you know," she said putting one leg through her jeans, "I'm charging you for that." She said putting the other leg in.

"What the hell witch!" he complained.

"How dare you walk in here and try to see me naked. I didn't peg you to be a Sanji, Zoro." She said walking towards her makeup table to brush her hair. Sanji is a term they use as an inner joke to call men who basically, well, act like Sanji-kun.

After what seemed to be an appropriate time to Zoro, he turned around to state his dissatisfaction.

"Well, it's not my fault you're not ready yet. You're the one who told me to hurry and now you're the one who's not ready. How is it my fault that you're still getting dressed after an hour?"

"You tell me to come over and now, you tell me not to come over, make up your damn mind witch." He said with a frown.

"Zorrroooo, I'm a woman. I'm allowed to take time to look my best." She said in a haughty manner.

She stood up, happy with her hair and turned to him.

"This," she said waving at her body, "doesn't happen overnight. It takes me time to look this good."

He just scoffed. Although he wanted to disagree and say she wasn't all the hotshot she thought she was, he didn't want to make her change clothes, which is something she would do if he disagreed.

He went to sit on her bed and complained that she was slow again.

"Did you call Torao-kun?" She asked reapplying her lipstick one final time. She checked her makeup once more before spraying her setting spray.

"Yes woman, yes, I called your ride." He said with a displeased voice.

Zoro met Law as a child in a kendo club. He was 5 and Law was 10. Zoro was always working hard and stayed behind every time to train harder. He muttered about getting stronger and this piqued Trafalgar D. Water Law's interest in the little boy. Law always teased Zoro for being a little boy yet having big "goals", to which Zoro always challenged Law and they somehow ended in a draw everytime. After leaving the kendo club, Zoro was still close with Law and had been together in every stage of each other's life. Nami and Luffy met Law only after an incident that required Luffy to visit the hospital.

Luffy unfortunately amputated his pinky finger from one of his stupid antics. Nami freaked out so much that she almost fainted when she heard the pinky land on her bedroom floor with a tap. Zoro fortunately knew Law who was a medical student. Law was from a family of doctors and his dream was always to follow his father's footsteps. He would spend hours reading on human anatomy and diseases when he was a child. Law was very smart as a child and eventually skipped grades before he entered medical school.

Zoro remembered law immediately and asked him for first aid through the phone. As they both sounded so distressed over the phone, Law asked them to visit his hospital where he was working as a placement. Zoro and Nami rushed Luffy to the hospital while Luffy was wailing and sobbing about his missing finger. Law helped Luffy calm down and proceeded to ask routine questions about the incident before helping to reattach his finger with surgeons (one of them being his dad). Thankfully, it was a success due to the first aid Law provided. Law was so surprised at how Luffy severed his finger, somewhere along the line due to his interests in Luffy's case, he became Torao and Luffy's friend without his approval. All he said was "so how did you cut your finger?" And Luffy hasn't left him alone since then. Nami thinks it's because Luffy was hysteric over his cut pinky and thanked Torao for (in Luffy's term) "saving his life."

Oh but Zoro knew. He's been with Law for a very long time and they grew up together after all. Zoro knew that wasn't the reason why Law still hangs around Luffy and Nami, and sometimes without Zoro. He's seen the stolen glances and the way law looks at Nami. Law wouldn't be wasting his time to drive them to Barati if he didn't fancy her.

A car honk was heard from outside of Nami's window. Zoro didn't miss the small smile that crawled on Nami's face and wore an annoyed look on his own. Nami sprinted out to her balcony and waved at her older friend.

She turned around and said "let's go!"

Zoro followed her with heavy footsteps. But he still followed her, he was compliant every time and he didn't know why.

As they got nearer to the parked car, Law lowered his passenger window and Nami leaned in on the opened window, revealing her cleavage to the driver. Zoro grimaced, acutely aware of what she was doing. Nami smiled and whispered a sweet 'thank you'.

That's when it hit Zoro. This witch knew. She knew Law had a thing for her and was using him like a Sanji.

Law's eyes followed the top that slightly slid down as Nami leaned over and settled at the cleavage that revealed itself to him. Law smiled in response and gestured Nami to get in the car. To save Law's dignity, Zoro shoved Nami aside and got in the front seat.

"Hey, what the hell?" She asked, ticked off at Zoro's actions.

"Sit at the back." he said gesturing behind him to the back seat.

She pouted because now she would have to sit alone at the back but got in anyways as she was hungry.

Baratie was a beautiful and a fancy restaurant owned by Chef Zeff, who Sanji admires and sees as a father figure.

Upon arrival, they were greeted by a well-lit restaurant with full-length windows around the whole restaurant for natural light. At night, the bulbs that hung on the ceiling were lit in different colours - purple, red, yellow, all creating beautiful lighting during the night. The wall was painted an elegant white, which matched well with the light pink velvet carpet on the floor. In the centre of the restaurant, one could find stairs leading down to the kitchen and up for more seating.

The receptionist recognised the distinct hair colours of Sanji's friends and she didn't even have to ask them about their reservation. She welcomed them and took them straight to the table reserved for "Sanji's queen" as was directed by Sanji in the morning.

"Here are the menus."

She didn't recognise the guy with the tattoos but proceeded to ask the other two whether they would like to order the same as usual.

Nami closed her menu and sweetly smiled before nodding her head. Her usual at the Baratie was a medium steak with chips and red wine, while Zoro's was a signature bacon burger with melted cheese and chips. Law read through a couple of pages before ordering a classic carbonara with white wine. She nodded before proceeding to head towards the kitchen.

Nami was sitting across Zoro and Law was sitting in between them. Zoro saw Nami looking around and guessed she was looking for Sanji.

"Where's Luffy? I thought we were supposed to meet him here." Zoro asked Nami. Nami finally looked at Zoro, he doesn't know why but it felt like she hasn't looked his way today at all. Frankly speaking, Nami was too embarrassed to look at Zoro after the whole thong incident.

With her cheek on her palm, she responded "You'll see him soon enough! He was supposed to come with us but he said he'll already be here by the time we arrive."

Zoro munched on some garlic bread and asked, "Where's nosebleed Kun?"

"Who's nosebleed kun?" Law asked as he didn't remember anyone who was called that.

"Yes, Zoro, who is nosebleed kun?" Nami asked sarcastically, tilting her head to the side.

As if Sanji heard her, he came running with the drinks while singing "Nammmiiiii-swannnnn!"

"My love, my body has been waiting this whole day for this moment." Sanji said, skilfully twirling towards her, without dropping any of the drinks on his way.

"Ah, Sanji kun!" she said clapping her hands together.

"Here you go mademoiselle, one red wine." He said, kneeling down for her.

"Hey, where's my drink?" Law questioned, but it was completely ignored by Sanji.

"Thank you." Nami said lifting her hand gracefully and touching Sanji's cheek.

"I missed you so much." She cooed.

"I can't wait to eat the food your very hands made." she said touching his hands now.

"Namiii-swannn, I know our love was meant to be. For you, I've cooked only the finest and delicious food."

"Ahhh, but I don't have enough money to pay for the finest meals in your restaurant." She said with an act.

"And it's all free for you Nami-swan." Sanji said holding Nami's hand on his and lifting it lightly to kiss her hand.

She giggled.

"Great thank you, expected nothing less from you, Sanji-kun." She said rubbing his chin before looking at the two pairs of eyes watching her in shock.

"You're going to hell." Zoro stated.

"And you, how can you be so dumb you idiot cook."

"It's not free for you shitheads. You guys have to pay." Sanji said to the boys coming out of his love trance.

"Nami-ya, if you can't pay for it then I will pay for you. You don't need to resort to such...err…" His words died on his lips when she sent an angry look directed at him.

"No, thank you law. You guys owe me money, not the other way around. I don't mind a free meal but I don't want to owe you." She said in a pompous manner.

If this was a cartoon, Zoro's eyes would've literally come out of their sockets.

"How in the world is it any different to what you're doing to nosebleed kun?" Zoro said facepalming.

He could hear the 'ohhh, he's nosebleed kun' on the background as law finally put two and two together.

After handing out the drinks including Law's and Zoro's, Sanji lit his cigarette and looked at the tattooed man before him.

"Who the hell are you and why are you calling Nami-swan without honorifics you shithead?" He said, trying to intimidate law.

"Now now, calm down Sanji-kun. He's a friend." Nami introduced Law to Sanji and vice versa.

"By the way, Sanji-kun, do you know where Luffy is?"

"Oh, you didn't know? He's working with us to pay for his tab because he's a big eater." Sanji said taking another puff.

"Are waiters allowed to smoke here? What a terrible service this restaurant has." Law said as a little bit of jealousy stung him when he saw how close Nami was with this "nosebleed kun".

"Huhhhh, what did you say you tattooed shit head. Don't think I'll be intimidated by the word death tattooed on your dainty little fingers." Sanji said rolling his sleeves.

"Oh boy" Nami shook her head.

"He's a chef, not a waiter and yes, why are you waiting our table you idiot. Go back to the kitchen. I don't want to see your face, shitty cook." Zoro said crossing his arms.

"You asshole, you wanna fight. I'll take both of you on." Sanji said making a commotion on his restaurant, causing many customers to look his way now.

Once the customers started whispering about Nami's table, Patty, the rowdy chef in charge of Sanji, came out stomping his feet.

"What are you doing here Sanji? You should be inside the kitchen. You're making a fuss and disturbing other customers." He practically screamed at Sanji, making things only worse.

"Now come apologise." Patty pulled Sanji and apologised to others by bowing to the customers and forced his neck to bow as well.

As Sanji and Patty were apologising to everyone, a corner table got Nami's attention when both the customers started acting a little strange. Zoro, on the other hand, was watching Nami instead during the commotion and had seen the table that caught Nami's attention. Nami's attention was then taken away from said table by Luffy.

"Oiiii Namiiiiii, everyone, you guys made it." Luffy said cheerfully while waving his arms.

Nami's eyes widen in shock, "Luffy be careful, you're carrying a lot of food, it might all come ….."

Before she could finish the sentence, she heard a loud noise which now caught everyone's attention in the restaurant.

Luffy lost his balance and dropped all the plates of food he was carrying.

"Luffy you bastard, that better not be Nami-swan's food." Sanji said walking towards him.

Patty just screamed, knowing it was the wrong decision to hire Luffy as a chore boy. They were losing more money than making money!

Law was quiet as he watched the scene unfold before him. Sanji was beating Luffy and Patty was beating Sanji while Luffy just cried and said "shumimashe". But if it is one thing Law knows about Luffy, it is that wherever Luffy goes, trouble always seem to follow him.

Nami sighed. Great, yet another perfect day, well night, wasted. She thought.

She moaned as she got up from her seat, she was tired of the same shit happening each time they went out together. Before she could walk away, Zoro's question stopped Nami on her tracks.

"Where are you going?" He asked.

"For fresh air and away from these idiots." She said pointing at the two chefs and Luffy who was also beginning to fight back after shouting "I didn't want to work as well." on the top of his lungs.

Oh but Zoro knew. He knew where she was going, he had watched her the whole day after all.

He watched her as she walked past the trio, who were still arguing about the wasted food, and saw the path she was taking. She was planning to go towards the back door, which leads to Baratie's beautiful garden where one could enjoy food and nature together. But the table that caught her eye earlier was on her way as well.

That clever witch.

She walked towards the back door, her waist moving from left to right and then finally stopped when she was next to the table in question. He watched her as she turned her head towards the table, as if someone called her name and saw the smile that creeped on her face. As soon as she looked at the table, the two people visibly jumped and looked towards the window, avoiding Nami's gaze. To their dismay, Nami started walking towards their table.

Zoro chuckled and Law made a mental note never to go anywhere with these psychos. Two were still arguing in front of him, his food all spilled on the floor, and his friend was laughing at the sight like a psycho. Psychos, they're all psychos!

Zoro got up to follow Nami. He started to become extremely curious and wanted to know who Nami found sitting at the table.

"Well, well, well." Nami said hand on her hip.

"Isn't this a beautiful surprise." She said looking at the couple in front of her, their date apparently interrupted.

In front of her sat the student counselor, Nico Robin and Zoro's home room teacher, Cutty Flam, also known as Franky. Franky was hiding behind the menu while Robin nervously laughed.

Zoro's jaw dropped as soon as he caught up to Nami. "Franky, what the hell are you doing here and why are you with herrr!?"

Although Franky was a teacher and should have authority over his students, he often behaved like his students and was seen as a friend rather than a teacher by his pupil. He was always seen hanging around his students and giving life lessons to kids in school.

"So what is this, a first date or perhaps, a proposal?" Nami asked, walking towards the table, trying to work out whether this was a serious relationship.

Robin finally processed all the information and her brain switched on. She picked up her wine slowly and brought it to her lips. She was thinking of numerous ways to play this and was planning her next move. She finally smiled and held Franky's hand that was on the table.

"Yes, we are on a date," She smiled, "aren't you both as well?" She asked softly, her smile provoking Nami further.

Robin knew how gutless Nami was when it came to Zoro. Robin knew Nami could charm the whole world, yet she could not charm Zoro, with whom she's spent all her life with. Zoro was the only man that didn't fall under her spell and it ticked off Nami to her bones. Robin knew that and while Nami waits to make her move, Robin already made hers and was proudly showing off her results to Nami.

Nami frowned, recalling their first meeting. This was Robin's win.*

Nami also reached out to grab Zoro's hands before responding, "Whatever we do is none of your business." Nami did not want to disclose any information and give Robin the satisfaction of knowing whether they were going out or not.

"Let's go Zoro." Nami demanded and walked the other way, back to their table. Zoro didn't have much of a choice as she was still grasping his hand and pulled him towards her.

"Hey, where are you going? I thought you wanted fresh air!" Zoro asked while following Nami.

Nami turned around to face him. She was exhausted; she just got defeated in the battle of wits with Robin and she was hungry! She was hungry and all she wanted to do was eat and drink. She looked at Luffy who was now planning on quitting the job as a chore boy. She wanted to get away, away from all the drama and just eat, something, anything. Just as she was about to suggest going elsewhere for food, as if Zoro read her mind, Zoro asked Nami, "Wanna ditch them and go to a bar for food and drinks?"

Nami has never been happier.

"But what about Law?"

"Screw him, he'll find his way back."

Nami was happy, extremely happy with where she was with Zoro. They are good friends and understand each other well. Sure, they argue from time to time but he (yes, I said he) will always compromise for her and isn't that what a relationship is all about. She has it all and she didn't want to lose what she has with what she could have. She would rather have him near her as a friend than lose him forever. So asking him out can wait just a little longer.

"Okay."

This time, it was his turn to pull her towards the exit of the restaurant. It was going to be just him and her, just the way it should be. And the rest can starve to death, for all Zoro cares.

"Zoro, that's the wrong way!"

"Damn, it!"
