the hawthorne foundation charity gala was, as always, an extravagant event. the ballroom was adorned with shimmering chandeliers that cast a warm glow over the crowd — a mix of old money and new.

avery started to feel a pit in her stomach the second people began to arrive. on the outside, she looked absolutely perfect. the black dress she wore was clinging to her figure in all the right ways, and her hair was styled perfectly for the occasion. but on the inside, that pit became heavier and heavier by the minute. 

she tried to smile as she made small talk with guests, nodding politely at compliments she wasn’t too sure were genuine. but the whispers, the sideways glances, and the not-so-subtle reminders that she wasn’t really one of them were beginning to weigh heavily on her.

“miss grambs, you’ve really adapted well to this new lifestyle,” a woman dripped in jewelry remarked, she sounded polite but avery could sense the sharpness underneath. “it must be difficult to truly understand this world when one wasn’t born into it.”

avery felt her stomach twist but she forced a smile anyway. “it’s definitely different,” she replied, keeping her tone polite.

the woman’s smile didn’t reach her eyes. “i imagine it’s overwhelming. but then, not everyone is cut out for this kind of life. it is more than just luck.”

that was it for avery, she couldn’t anymore. “if you’ll excuse me, i need some air.” she said with a smile, her voice quieter now as she began to walk off.

the woman nodded and watched her walk off, seemingly satisfied with the result of the exchange, and sipped from her champagne flute.

avery made her way out of the ballroom, well aware of the whispers and the stares following her as she left. once she was at her room’s balcony, she exhaled a long breath she didn’t realize she had been holding in for so long. 

as she looked over the balcony, she wrapped her arms around herself, trying to shake off the effect the woman had on her. she’d come a long way from the girl who had nothing, but it seemed like no matter what she did, there would always be people who saw her as an outsider. 

“running away from the party already?” came a voice that was part teasing and part concerned.

avery turned around to see jameson approaching her. his tuxedo was tailored to perfection and his hair was styled, but tousled. there was that hint of trouble present that jameson always had.

the smirk on his lips began to fade as he noticed the look on her face. he could always see the vulnerability she tried so hard to hide from everyone else.

“i’m not running away,” avery replied, trying to sound unbothered. “just needed a break.”

jameson stepped closer and searched her face for the truth she wasn’t saying. he knew her too well, and could read her too easily. he could easily guess what happened, but he asked anyway. “heiress, you can talk to me.”

avery sighed, turning back to the view, her hands resting on the railing. “it’s nothing, just,” she trailed off, trying to find the right words and shrugging, “people being people.”

“people being assholes, you mean,” jameson corrected with a hint of protectiveness in his voice. he moved to stand beside her, his shoulder brushing against hers in a silent offer of comfort.

“i guess that works too.” she tried to laugh it off, but the bitterness in her tone betrayed her. she glanced at him and looked away. the concern in his eyes was almost too much to bear.

jameson’s jaw clenched slightly at the thought of someone in her house, making her feel less than, but he pushed the anger aside. now wasn’t the time for that. "heiress, dont listen to them. you’re better than that—better than all of them combined.”

he stepped closer, cradling her face with his hands, “you are the smartest, bravest, most incredible person i’ve ever met. if they can’t see that, then they’re the ones who don’t belong here.”

avery nodded, her eyes welling up with tears she refused to let fall. "it never bothers me, but it did today —i don’t know why. i just— i hate that it got to me. i hate that i let it"

jameson’s expression softened and he wrapped his arms around her, pulling her into a hug she didn’t realise she needed so badly. she melted into him and rested her head against as he spoke again. "you don’t have to fight this alone," he murmured into her hair. "i’m here. always."

avery sniffled, and they stood like that for a few moments — the sounds of the city distant, and the party a million worlds away. 

“thank you, jameson.” she whispered as she pulled back slightly to look up at him.

jameson smiled down at her, brushing a strand of hair behind her ear. "there’s nothing to thank me for, heiress. you’re my everything. i’ll always be here for you."

avery’s heart swelled, and the pit in her stomach she felt earlier was now replaced with butterflies. she reached up to press a gentle kiss to his lips; silently telling him she would do the same for him. 

“come on,” jameson said softly after a moment, pulling back just enough to look into her eyes. “let’s get out of here. we can go somewhere—anywhere you want. just the two of us.”

she smiled, the first genuine one of the night, “that sounds perfect.”

after another short kiss, avery let jameson lead her away to the maze garden with their hands intertwined. alisa, her team, and seemingly the whole world would berate her for it later, but she didn’t care.

for the first time in a long time, avery felt like she was where she belonged; with jameson. they were eachother’s, and no one—not even the harshest people—could take that away from them.

Seymour

Currently the rumor is he will be played by Taron Egerton, and while he has played the "lovable dork" before (Eddie the Eagle), I think there are better choices? Like no doubt he could do it but also if we're going for any white boy (as that is Seymour character), Hollywood has so many options. Like, Joseph Gordon Levitt and Daniel Radcliffe exude nerdy energy and can kinda sing (based off my memory bc I refuse to look this up) so honestly that works for me. Jonathan Groff has played Seymour, and seeing as he has some mainstream appeal I'd see Hollywood going for him for the movie.

Audrey

I love Audrey wi th my heart and soul and I no one can beat Ellen Greene in this role. That being said, I reject Scarlett in this role. I saw something about Stephanie Beatriz being down to play Audrey and considering she has that kind of squeaky voice and has played comedy roles (which is important bc I consider LSOH to be a horror comedy and while writing this out and looking at the rumored casting decisions I fear the remake will be a darker horror movie), I'd love that for her. Another perfectly reasonable option is MJ Rodriguez, who played audrey in Pasadena. I stole this from a youtube comment but something really strong resonates with the fact that a trans woman of color gains self confidence and learns to love the woman she is in Suddenly Seymour. Also alto rights and as far as I could tell she nailed the role, so. Yeah.

If we're going for the more traditional casting - and by traditional I mean blonde, someone more mainstream Hollywood - I'd say Anna Kendrick or Brittany Snow could easily pull it off. They've both proven they can do comedy and can sing and, at least Brittany has played characters that have the same energy as Audrey. (Cant think of any roles Anna Kendrick has played that are similar but she could do it I'm sure).

Dentist

It's getting late and I forgot his name but, the dentist. I actually do like Chris Evans for this role for one reason only and it's because Lucas Lee also could become a leather jacket wearing masochist dentist if he had the brain cells for it. In fact, I'm so okay with this decision that I didnt put that much thought into who else could play the part. I saw another fancast saying Darren Criss should play Seymour and while he could, I think he'd also make a great whatever-the-hell-the-dentist's-name-is. No reasoning other than he'd have fun with it.

Would do the rest of the characters but I started writing this around 3 am and it is now 4 am so I should stop. Also those were the only ones I wanted to talk about anyway lol. A few things

If you couldnt tell I actually don't mind any of the rumored cast except for ScarJo I just wanted to throw out names

I generally have little hope for stage to movie adaptations and remakes separately so I have even less hope for a remake of a movie adaptation.

I would fancast more POC actors for Seymour (bc i would like more poc leads and also it kinda works storywise) except I dont know that many off the top of my head that have played dorky characters? Like anyone I think of looks too cool or not the right age? Thank you George Salazar though, we could just recast George Salazar.

Another fancast is the original puppet from the 80s bc that looked so good and while I trust the vfx team and am excited to see what they'll do and how they'll interpret it, will it be as good? We'll see.

The 1986 version will always be my favorite..... I will probably watch the remake anyway whenever it comes out.

Okay on the fatphobia as a teen thing? It fully robs you of respect. Im hilarious, and i dont mean that as a brag or whatever but i can make my friends laugh like hell, but in secondary school (high school) people would not give me the time of day. Id say a joke and no one would laugh, and then someone would say my joke nearly word for word and everyone would laugh. It was a nightmare for my self esteem and its only now that im in college that people respect me and think im funny

growing up fat is like.... getting told by the world that it doesn’t matter what you’re good at or how good you are at something, someone less talented than you will be valued anyway because they are skinny. now that you mention it, when i was 14 i got picked to play one of the main characters in a play for a theatre competition. it was a big deal to me, because all the other main characters were played by our seniors who were all at least 15, and it made me feel really good to be seen as that good.

it was an adaptation of a midsummer night’s dream, so i was playing a romantic counterpart, and sadly, there were a number of people who were unhappy that our professional director cast me, some were girls who were older and jealous to have been overlooked, and i won’t talk about that bit but my costar’s efforts to get my character recast were what hurt most. apparently, he said that i wasn’t attractive enough for him to put on a convincing performance. he also said something about how i should maybe put on some eyeliner, i think? anyway it was. really painful. and i knew it was because i was fat, because fat means ugly in the eyes of fatphobes, also i know he definitely said i was too fat at some point in his. displeasure. at having to act alongside me

anyway. it all worked and my character was recast. a very skinny somewhat conventionally attractive senior was given my role, and i was reassigned a smaller more comedic role. i was devastated at first, i think i either cried or wanted to cry, and rehearsals went on. crazy thing is, i did really well in my new role and had a lot of fun with comedy, and i thought it was a blessing in disguise. who needed to be the main character anyway? why do so many scenes when i could do less scenes?

meanwhile, the new girl was doing horribly. she could barely act, and it was clear that i was much more talented than her and did a much better job, even though i didn’t have the sexy skinny beautiful body and face that one might have associated with the character (the character in question was a girl who had two suitors and she only liked one of them but her father objected and wanted her to be with the other one. but hoooowww could a fat girl like me make judges and audiences believe two men could want me so desperately, right). our director who was really good at bringing schools to victory in this competition, realized enough was enough. she was the final authority, and it didn’t matter if people were unhappy. she quietly told me i was back to my original role, and the original person who played my new comedic character would be back in that spot. the skinny girl who was recast as my character wouldn’t have a role at all

(yes i know even when i got recast someone else was kicked out so I could still be in the play this is what happens when ur unbelivably talented 😔🤟🏻 fjsjdjdj jkjk)

anyway!! this time everything went great and rather smoothly. i had p much proved my talent as a performer, and my previously really annoying and fatphobic costar realized that acting with me was fun and that playing out a romance didn’t really mean shit LMAO. so we went on to do the competition and my teacher cried because during the play some of my cast members accidentally messed up parts of the set and knocked over props (all of which i needed to use in an upcoming scene) and she very nervously told me what was up before i went in for my scene and that if it was possible could i try and fix some of it and i was like “lmao ok” and went in and treated all the mess ups as a natural part of the set and fixed everything in a way that made sense for the character and when my scene ended and the lights went out i quickly reset the last set piece in a flash then ran out so the next scene could begin with the set perfectly back to normal. so ya i was an absolute hero and my teacher cried because she was so proud of me KFKSKDKDK

anyway we won distinction (the highest thing u can get it’s like getting gold) and the judges sent this feedback sheet to one of our teachers and in the feedback the judges pointed out my character as one of the best acted ones etc etc so 😌✨ it turned out good but the whole point is i wouldn’t have had to suffer so much and been through so much conflict and drama if not for fatphobia, and if that skinny girl had even a smidge of talent i would never have been allowed to play that role again even if i was objectively better at it

and like. something like this always happens when I graduate from a school and move on to another school’s drama club. i ALWAYS have to prove myself again and again because no one gives me a second look otherwise

sorry for turning this into a long ass story about me, i completely feel for u, having people straight up steal ur jokes is the WORST and im so glad ur finally being acknowledged as the funny legend u r!!!!!!

Current Favourite Dramas

So I thought it would be a cute idea to share my top ten favourite dramas as of 2017. Maybe I will come back to this next year and it has completely changed or more or less stayed the same. I hope this will also come into use if someone wants to watch a new drama or wants to get into watching them!!! I will also include reasons why people may not like it just so if there is something you really hate when watching dramas, that you know it is there!!! 

Anyway, here we go: 

 10 - Playful Kiss

I honestly love this one! It was the first drama I ever watched which is why it has to be on this list. If you look online, it seems to have a lot of hate around it due to the female character and that it is just one big cliche, but to be honest it is so nice once in a while to watch something a bit cheesy, and that doesn’t require much thought while watching it. For those who don’t know what the plot is, it revolves around a girl who is in the lowest class in her school and follows her love story around a boy who is the smartest and coolest in the school. At the beginning he hates her and often embarrass her on purpose in front of their classmates. But as fate makes their families live together, their love grows closer.

What may put you off this drama is its over clicheness, and the foolishness of the main leads. If you dont like too much cheese, then this may not be for you, but i do recommend it if you want something easy to watch and if you are interested in the Itazura Na Kiss franchise!! 

09 - Smile, You

I fell onto this drama about two years ago and my god I was glad I did!!! The cast, the story, and the chemistry is just amazing!! It is a classic hate to love relationship between the main couple, the drama faces issues of money, family and changing the way you live. It involves two families: the Seo’s and the Kang’s. The Seo family are rich after inheriting the grandfathers business however they go bankrupt due to carelessness, and have no over option but to live with the Kang family, who has been serving under the Seo’s, and have to learn how to live frugally.  I absolutely loved the female lead, she started off being a spoilt brat and always getting what she wanted, to someone who wants to work and earn her own money. 

The only issue i find with this drama is that I constantly got frustrated with the other family members due to their stubbornness and constantly thinking that they are right when they are being stupid and annoying!! but other than that, I honestly think this drama is an amazing one. It is a 45 episode drama, but the episodes used to go by so quickly so it didnt take too long to watch!!

08 - My Father Is Strange 

Oh my goodness, this drama honestly completely surprised me. It made me laugh and cry and smile with happiness. The whole cast were amazing and played their roles so well, it was almost like they were a real family. It revolves around a family of five who seem to be living the perfect live. However, when someone turns up claiming to be the fathers son, it all gets disrupted. What I liked about this drama the most is that each of the family members have their own individual story, and focuses on them building new relationships. I loved Jung So Min and Lee Joon’s character in it so much that i genuinely want them to be together irl!!! 

The only issue i find with it was that some of the side stories dragged too long and the in-laws of one of the daughter’s in the family were a bit annoying!! But that shouldnt put you off it the drama. Even though it is a 52 episode drama, like Smile, You, it went by quickly and is something I think both drama veterans and newbies will enjoy!!! 

07 - Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo 

This was an absolutely beautiful, funny, and meaningful drama. The chemistry between the two characters was amazing, loved this couple!! That is not the only reason why I loved this drama. I honestly think the main reason I liked this drama is because it is the first one I have watched that has brought on the message on how serious mental health is, it doesn’t try to make a comedic or weakness element to it which i think it amazing!!  The story revolves around a girl who is aiming to be a weightlifter and is studying at a sports university. It shows struggles with love, friendship, and mental health. 

You know what, I honestly can’t think of a reason why you might not like it, other than that the female lead is a bit stubborn and foolish at times. It is a mood warmer and is certainly a must to watch. 

06 - Secret Garden 

Secret Garden was my first favourite drama. The plot is so good, and it thrilling and nerve-wrecking up to the end. It is another hate to love relationship drama, and features a lot of body swapping. The story focuses on the relationship of a stunt woman and a male ceo of a rich shopping centre who’s personality needs a bit of working on. The two end up drinking a potion that causes them to swap bodies when it rains. This leads to some funny, sad, and interesting moments between them. I loved the extended cast and their own stories, and it also features young Lee Jong Suk!!!!!!! 

You may not like it if you dont like douchey male leads and cliches of evil mother in laws. It is a classic drama which I feel is almost wrong if you dont watch it!!!! 

05 - Suspicious Partner

One of my favourites from 2017!!!! This drama is filled with funny moment, romance, and suspense!!!!! The Chemistry between Ji Chang Wook and Nam Ji Hyun was just unreal, I cant explain how much I love them!!!!!!! There was so much sexual tension and hot kisses!!! The story surrounds a woman who wants to be an attorney and a man who is a prosecutor. Everything changes for both of them after the female lead is framed for the murder of her cheating ex boyfriend. The acting in this drama was incredible, especially by the villain of the story, he was so good!!! 

What was annoying about this drama is that there was a breaf period where the couple broke up when they didnt need to!!!!!!!!! Ahhhhh!!!!!! I was so annoyed, but it didnt ruin the drama for me,  and overall it was such a good drama, the plot was on point and was so suspenseful on how they were going to proof the killer of murder!! 

04 - Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo 

HOOOOOO BOI!!! This drama was a whirlwind of emotions, which is why I loved it!!!!! The first couple of episodes fooled me into thinking it was going to like a historical rom com, boy was i wrong!!!! If you are going to watch this prepare laugh a lot, cry a lot, feel betrayed by certain characters, and to fall in love with all of the princes!!!! If you do not know what this drama is about, well it revolves around a girl in the present day who when saving a boy from drowning is brought the the Goryeo times of Korea and finds out she is in the body of the cousin of the wife of one of the royal princes, and she soon has to find out that she has to adapt to royal life in korea!!!

I feel like if you research this that you will find a lot bad press about it, but don’t listen!!! It does have a rather different ending to what most thought it would have had, but you know what, i honestly believe that the ending was perfect, even though it broke my heart, it fit so well with how the story was told!!!! 03 - You’re Beautiful (joint 02)

The next 2 drama’s on this list are pretty much on a tie of second because of how much I loved them!!! You’re Beautiful is an absolute masterpiece in my opinion!!!! It is such a fun loving show, it made me laugh and smile so much, the chemistry between all of the characters was amazing and its nice to see that they are still all friends (this was made in 2009). The OST was so beautiful and catchy, I love Park Shin Hye’s singing!!! The plot consists of a nun in training who has to pretend to be her twin brother due to him having plastic surgery issues while getting ready to debut with as one of the biggest boy group as its new member. The lead of the group Tae Kyung and Mi Nam dont get on at the start due to several incidents, but after finding out she is a girl, he ends up with having to look after her in situations and both end up slowly liking each other. 

Similar to playful kiss and secret garden, it holds a lot of cliche, and personally I did not the kind of love triangle and the second female lead, however I thought she was alright in the last episode. But overall, it is such an up beat drama. I watched this when I was going through a tough time in my life, and it really helped me get through some of my problems!!!! 

02 - Pinocchio (joint 02)

I’ve got to say, I was so surprised by this drama!!! Everything about this drama is just ahhhh!!!! Park Shin Hye and Lee Jong Suk are my absolute favourites, they both perfectly acted their roles and their chemistry was beautiful!!! I recommend this drama with all my heart. Like I mentioned, I loved this main couple, but the reason why it gets my top pick was due to its plot. I loved the whole mystery element to it and how they used journalism to find the answer of how Dal-Po’s (ljs) father’s death was abused and caused the death and disappearance of his brother. It was an on edge, suspenseful drama, but also had its comedic elements. I absolutley loved the supporting cast, even the second male lead, which I rarely ever do!!

The only fault i find with this drama is that when I first watched it, i thought the first 3 or 4 episodes were quite slow, but now i find those as some of my favourites as it tells the past and how dal po was effected by the death of his father and how poor journalism changed his life!!! I cant tell you how many times I’ve watched this one, i remember the first time I watched it, I started it again straight after!!!

01- The Best Hit 

As I am writing this, I can’t stop smiling!!! That is how happy The Best Hit made me!!! I found out about this drama a few days before the first episode aired due to the release of Beautiful Beautiful, a song for the soundtrack, and I instantly fell in love, not only with the song but also because it starred Yoon Shi Yoon who I absolutely adore!!!! There are so many reasons why I love this drama, so here are some: the 2 Days 1 Night references and cameos were amazing (the drama is directed by the past director of the variety show and Cha Tae Hyun who like YSY is a cast of the show). I liked how the plot of the drama was a mystery. No one knew where it was going, who was going to end up with who, what was going to happen to YSY’s character. I also liked how there wasnt really an evil character, and those who you thought were, they were just stupid. The plots consists of Hyun Jae (ysy) who is a famous pop star in 1993 time travelling to present day. He finds out that in 1994 he dissapeared, creating a conspiracy on if he is dead or alive. He finds out he has a son, and tries to help him achieve his dreams while falling in love along the way!!! It is so funny and sweet, I remember the waiting time each week for a new episode to arive!!!

What some people may not like about it is that there are sever continuity errors and areas which could have been developed further, but you have to hand them credit, it was the directorial debut drama for both PD Yoo and and Cha Taehyun!!! Honestly, this is one of my all time favourites and will all ways be!!! Please please please watch this drama!!!!!

Sassy and flamboyant wizard who probably should have been a bard

This guy is Ephriam Skyblade, a human Bladesinger. Now those of you who know your d&d are probably thinking “Zichi, what the fuck, only elves can be bladesingers”. And you would be right, if I played him in one of the canon settings like Greyhawk/forgotten realms/sword coast etc... No, he appeared in homebrew worlds where the DM allowed it.

When Ephriam applied to a wizard school that specialized in Bladesingers, the headmaster (who was a racist elf) figured he’d milk some tuition fees from this dumb human before he dropped out. Unfortunately, Ephriam aced his studies. Basically, where Ephriam struggled with conventional bladesinging, he used what his bardic mother taught him to adapt and improvise. When his peers and tutors were getting very aggressive with Ephriam, he decided it was time to bail... In the process of bailing however, he seduced and eloped with a half-drow woman who was the headmaster’s ‘servant’. Ephriam and Lyndis would have been perfectly happy to go their own way, but the slightly-crazy-and-senile-at-this-point headmaster tracked them down and cast a spell on Lyndis, trapping her on another plane of existence. The headmaster laughed at Ephriam, saying it would be a hundred years before he would find Lyndis again. Ephriam sassed back, saying the headmaster said the same thing about his studies, and he’d find her in a year. That’s where his wanderlust and travelling turned from aimless seeking of beauty in the world to a personal quest to find a way to reunite with his wife.

Magical university professor who is mocked; insulted and DARVO'd by the entire party and will probably enact his revenge at some point

Unfortunately, I’m not playing this character any more, because I had something of a falling out with the group I was in and decided “fuck it, it’s not worth ruining my evening”. But basically, Horatio Crestfall was the son of a paladin knight-turned-noble, but unlike his father, Horatio was physically weak. Rather than try forcing himself to be his father’s copy, Horatio turned to magical study as a wizard. He gained a rather unique reputation at school because he did not see much in magical rivalry, thinking clerics, wizards and druids were all viable and equal (in-game, he was a theurgy-wizard, because the party needed some decent healing magic). He ended up being the professor that got all the trouble-kids, or the kids who didn’t make the school look good. Yes, pretty elves and cunning humans look great to the public as wizards, but tieflings, goblins and dwarves are frequently shoved onto Horatio. Horatio originally joined the party by basically one of his apprentices botching a teleportation spell badly.

There was also a sub-plot in that he’s an aasimar but doesn’t know it and every time he uses the radiant soul ability, he has no memory of it. His mother was an angel who abandoned the family to protect them from a powerful devil, but we never got to that point before I lost my patience with the pasty white boys insulting my character and their obsessive use of the N-word.

World's best dwarven wizard prince (no that category is NOT mindlessly small)

While not my first character, strictly, Flint Bronzelight was my first proper character, the first character I played in a group that knew what it was doing. He found magic fascinating and wanted to study it under an arcane perspective rather than traditional divine and priesthood. Fortunately, the Bronzelights were never a conventional clan, being traders and inventors, pioneers of black-powder firearms. His father permitted him to go abroad to study. By the time his studies were complete however, Flint had a gnawing curiosity and desire to learn more, so he enacted an old Bronzelight tradition, to leave home and seek his fortune, which he would do through his magic.

Also, he ended up carrying a magnifying glass around and I eventually bought a real-life magnifying glass and would slowly bring it up from beneath the table whenever Flint got curious about something. The first time I did it was met with great enthusiasm.

Evil Overlord Paladin who WILL kill 3/5ths of the party

Devrique Crownbreaker was half orc peasant under the rule of a fat, obese and cruel man who used money and power to hire thugs to do his bidding. Trodden on, beaten and disrespected, the boy was fueled by rage until the day that nobleman overstepped his authority and had Devrique’s father killed for insolence (he hadn’t actually done anything, the noble was just feeling cruel). Now a man, Devrique snapped and vowed to see the nobleman dead by his own hands. A vow he would uphold very swiftly. Biding his time, Devrique struck when the lord’s mercenary forces were at their lowest and slaughtered his way through. The fat old man begged for his life, offering money, power, everything he could want. Devrique slew the man without even a response, taking the fiefdom as his own.

Devrique ruled with an iron fist. He demanded obedience, but rewarded loyalty. Those who served the kingdom received Devrique’s protection and shared in his riches. Those who defied him or threatened his people, he offered them a sword and a duel, to decide through strength who was in the right.

I can’t remember how exactly the game he was in went, but I think he was forced to leave the little kingdom he built to defend it. I think mindflayers were threatening to attack it, but I’m not sure.

Grumpy dwarf cleric forced into team dad role

Halrin Stonebeard, last of the Stonebeard clan. As a youth, Halrin was an orphan raised in a temple of Jarbaleth the Forgemaster. With no known family, Halrin took the cloth and priesthood eagerly, but he was dissatisfied with just praying and healing wounds. He wanted to go out and fight evil on the front-lines, to protect people rather than heal the wounds after evil had struck. With the chapel’s high priest blessing his mission, he took to the surface with his hammer and shield and fought the good fight.

For a few years, a good fight he did, until he was ambushed by goblins. Despite the ambush, Halrin slew half of the goblins and their wicked shaman chief before falling. But the goblins were not done. In revenge for their fallen leader, the goblins performed a ritual that fused Halrin and Grettick’s souls into a dagger, dooming the cleric to untold time with only a cruel monster as company.

200 years would pass by before Halrin’s soul was released from the dagger. During that time, Halrin would discover that his clan had been nearly wiped out. Dragons had attacked his clan homes, scorching his clan halls and leaving them condemned. Surviving Stonebeards believed the clan cursed and so forsake the name, taking the name of the clans who took them in. But Halrin, stout and stubborn, refused to give up. With his second chance at life, he returns to fighting evil, with the goal of slaying the dragons who attacked his clan home and inspiring faith in the name Stonebeard.

flirty cleric girl who got retconned into a demon spawn bc the party wanted to be massive douchebags.

This was my character before Horatio in that group I have disagreements with. Basically, when I first joined, the GM said the party lacked a decent healer, only having a bard who always preferred shooting to anything bardic and probably should have been a ranger imo. But regardless, I rolled a cleric first, a life cleric Crystal Starwell, who was a cheerful, playful and flirty woman. The DM had an interesting way of introducing my character. The party was hunting a demon, and my character would be introduced having been mind-controlled by the demon, but the party’s influence would help her break out...

Unfortunately, the characters everyone was playing (and some of the players too) were complete dicks. They were constantly convinced that I was a spy or double-agent who would stab them in the backs. They insulted and belittled her, never gave her a share of the treasure saying she’d have to “earn their trust”. Never mind the fact she was healing, buffing, protecting and raising dead all the time...

I eventually got the message and tried to swap to a more serious, less happy-go-lucky character, but in order to justify my characters sudden mid-sungeon disappearance, the DM decided “oh wow she’s a demon after all”. Stiiiill a little sore about that, tbh.

OMG NO NOT NIC WHY Literally the only person I actually trusted from the original villains tribe and he's gone fuck. Now I gotta find new allies. I'm gonna start working on Liana more and also talk more to Bryce. He's really nice and we bonded during immunity. I also am gonna keep my ties to the giant Nicholas/Dana/Trixie/blah/blah/blah premade just to keep myself safe. I don't want to go far with them by any means but they're good to keep around because they will keep me safe as long as they can I think. Also fuck Survivor Jeopardy. I love jeopardy but fuck survivor. That is all. Goodnight.

Ok so that vote went perfectly! I didn’t have to use my idol. There were no votes cast against me as well! Poor Willa is gonna wake up and think wtf happened. Trixie is now a close ally to me and Christian as well! I’m still keeping my eye on her tho. She is a very good player so I will not be letting my guard down. Hopefully our tribe will win immunity tho!

I'm excited for jeopardy, but worried that if I play and lose it for my team (big possibility) I could be in danger, so I might not volunteer to play, but I'm excited to watch either way, I'm sure it's going to be a great comp!

I found this cute ass shell in the east lagoon and I'm gonna wear it as a necklace for the rest the season uwu. It does nothing but look cute. Losing immunity is always rough but we gave it our best shot! Somehow I think Zachary Rae should go home :/ !! But I think my current plan is to work with Quillynn and Nicholas and just survive this round. Me and Quillynn are basically trying to find anyone to be a 3rd and give us majority lol so I hope it will pay off. Ive barely spoken to anyone tho so its awk I didnt even message Liana until yesterday. But I feel confident in surviving a little bit I guess

So we ended up losing immunity and lbr it was my terrible jeopardy skills that caused that so um yikes!! I think i'm definitely in danger of going home, I'm one of two heroes and I lost the challenge for our tribe also, have never messaged Liana yet so.. thats not good! Nicholas is my friend, but he's also a villain and a snake so putting faith in him to vote to keep me? not a cute look! Also I love Bryce, but I can see him voting me out just to save himself, I mean I hope he wouldn't do it, but I understand that he potentially could. I know I'm going to feel awful if I go home this round and I just really hope that doesn't happen.

Alright, so we had an auction where I was hoping to win Chips and Dip because it is a reference to my name. And that's cute - also they can be tasty depending on the kind of dip. I like to eat salsa or cheese dip. Not really so much guacamole because usually they mix it with onions and I have super negative reactions to onion like getting migraines and tossing my cookies. They wouldn't let up in bidding all of their money on the chips and dip so I ended up with running shoes instead. I am glad to replace my shoes with the one that were given to me by production because they were getting raggedy with me running around the island looking for stuff... even though I never do. They're raggedy anyway. So the auction was also a trick of sorts where they assigned the items you could win to tribes so that whatever you won equaled a new tribe for a swap. I need to decide whether to try and scoop them up with Jay or Kelsey or to join with Jay and Kelsey in voting one of them off. ok so obv us going to tribal isn't.... ideal.... but Survivor is about adaptability!!! I can make it work. I got a plan. So I think on my tribe I like Bryce the most. I get good vibes from him, he has Dua Lipa as a pfp, whats not to like. SO I wanna set an alliance type thing with him into motion. I think the obvious plan on our tribe is going to be voting out Liana. But I don't wanna do that. She was close to Nic, I was close to Nic, and she makes an excellent goat. Merge is probably in the next 2 or 3 rounds, and having another number around is essential. That leaves two potential targets for me. Quil and Nicholas. This is gonna sound crazy but hear me out. They're part of the huge premade that I mention all the time, and every member of that premade is still in. And merge is comin' soon!! That's gonna be a nearly unstoppable force if it's still intact during the merge. It's too late in the game to take out easy targets. We gotta think bigger!! I'll update y'all as soon as I can xoxo

okay so y'all know how I can never keep my god damn mouth shut right? WELL THAT JUST ACTUALLY WORKED OUT FOR ME FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER. I was talking to Quil about the vote and then??? he brings up the possibility of voting out Nich??? and bitch im SHOOK. So I start talking to him  and it turns out he doesn't wanna be associated with that friend group at all and he is 100% down for tearing down the premade. WHEW, this is honestly perfect. It's a backup in case Bryce isn't on board, and if leaves less room for bad blood for when Nicholas is taken out tonight. I'm so so so happy this worked out whew. That's one less premade member for when the merge hits, and one more ally for me. I really respect Quil for being able to play on his own, and I feel like after just that small conversation I trust him a million percent. Tonight is gonna be fun ladies!

Trixie’s Almost-Tragic Tribal Council: So once we swapped, I suggested to nic that since villains have majority we should make an alliance, and nic set up a group with willa and i. Then, we lost the challenge and everything went to YIKES.

Willa and nic were saying to vote christian, which was fine by me, except I had a sneaking suspicion that nic was going to flip with the heroes and take me out. I went to willa and he didn’t seem to care/believe me: cue my freakout. I called bryan and he confirmed that nic had went to him with everything, and that I was the target because I had “friends on the other tribes”. 

So, I knew immediately I had to call the pest control because we got ourselves a snake problem! I talked to christian and said that nic would be the better vote because he’s super shady, and she agreed. I also dropped some stuff that hopefully she would tell bryan cus I knew they were aligned, like how much i trust him, and how nic is just trying to play both sides.

Moral of the story: anybody with the name and or variant of “nic” is a snake. Bye.

So i’ve been looking for this idol for DAYS. I got chased by a beastly komodo dragon that kind of looked like dana, except a lot cuter and less flaky scaly skin. Anyway, I was really feeling this idol search desperation last tribal but I managed to flip the target from me to nic. But I almost exhausted all possible searches in the east lagoon and then suddenly, I get a message.

A message from the heavenly gods up in the clouds. I remember it clearly: the sun is a beautiful shining rae, the fluffy white clouds part to reveal an angel descending from the skies, holding the most magical item in the world. I am on the ground, a meekly dumb furby staring up stupidly to the skies, watching this divine being. He gifts me an idol and I know now that the angel is zachary rae. It is then that I realize all those years of buying him chicken nuggets has paid off. Thanks filmy lav you xx.

Well good golly Miss Molly, safety first~! It feels great to have immunity once again on this island. Top ten is slowly and slowly becoming more and more real and...it just...I can't believe I'm so close! Back in the reunion of my old season, I remember Jackson saying he underestimated me and I remember telling him to BUG OFF, but now...now, if this keeps up, I may be a true contender to snatch the crown~! I just have to keep PRAYING that these challenges will rely on those with strong physical acumen because if there are ever one on one face offs again, I'm not too sure that can take me to the end. In terms of voting off hookers, I...am still rather nervous about going to a tribal. I still haven't been able to get Chips and Jay in the same room as each other and time's running short because I can just FEEL we're going to have to vote someone eventually. I could always try and throw my lot with Dana and Zachary, but who's to say those two are on good terms? Even more so, what if there's one of each tribe speaking with another? It would be entirely and utterly scary and...I don't even know where to begin in terms of sifting out who is who. I just hope i make it further, goodness KNOWS I deserve it! Thank god trixie won the 5% challenge advantage, because I really wasn't looking forward going to tribal again. I think her and I are pretty solid.
