Things that I feel like would happen when you’re in a relationship with Simon Riley.
Simon Riley masterlist
Tumblr media
1. First off he hates the word ‘boyfriend’.
Maybe it’s because he’s in his mid thirties or something but he can’t stand being called your boyfriend. He’s more than that but also not at the same time. You live together, have access to each other’s bank accounts (which is only because he hates it when you try to fight him about him giving you money), and you’re each others emergency contact. He thinks of himself as your husband. The man wears a silicone ring when he’s home and a necklace with the ring that’s totally not a wedding band when he’s working. Price has seen the chain once or twice and smirks, shooting him a knowing look but never says a word.
Simon cannot stand it when people get nosy and want to know what your relationship status is. You’re together and that’s all that matters. No one needs to know that you’re the beneficiary of his will and life insurance policy or that he’s put you on all of his accounts. No one needs to know that he buys you anything you want but has only ever bought you two rings; a thin gold band with a flower engraved on it and its twin a matching emerald ring. No one needs to know that when he gifted them to you, there were tears and promises of safety, love, and happiness whispered against feverish skin. No one needs to know that he has your name woven into his chest tattoo.
No one needs to know any of that because your relationship is between him and you only.
2. You are not some submissive little house wife. You are a strong independent woman and he prefers it that way.
I know this one goes against what most people say but hear me out on this. Simon has been independent since birth practically. He’s only had himself to count on for years. Even in the military, he’s only been able to rely himself. Sure the others watch out for him but if it came down to it, he’s the only one who’s going to get himself out alive.
The thought of someone else relying on him in that way is terrifying. He can’t even fathom what it would be like to look at another person and fully trust them in that way. Half the time he feels like he can’t even be trusted to take care of himself let alone another human. In theory a sweet docile housewife is great with the meals and clean house but not for him. He needs to know that you can hold your own. He needs to know that you can be independent and carry on without him if something happened while he was working. He needs to know that you will be okay if he doesn’t come back.
You have to be okay without him no matter how much it pains him to think about it.
Like I said before, he’s made you the beneficiary of everything so he knows you’ll be set financially but that’s not enough. He’s made Price promise to keep an eye out for you. He’s made you promise to let Price do that and you agreed because it’s Simon who’s asking but you’d tell anyone else to fuck off.
In addition to all of that, he’s installed the best security system the government has to offer in your house. You have a very expensive and large safe in your shared closet that he’s instructed you to only open if you feel unsafe. While you might not like it, you agree to go shooting with him so he can sleep at night knowing that you could protect yourself if he’s not home. He’s gone as far as to make sure you have all of the licenses and certificates that are needed to legally own firearms in the UK.
He’s not leaving any opportunity for you to be vulnerable or have your ‘safety checks’, as he calls them, taken away.
3. Simon Riley is a godless man…until he meets you.
Now this is entirely my own headcannon with no evidence to support it so bear with me.
Simon had a shitty childhood where his mom would pray to a god who never listened and his dad would shout verses at him when he was drunk. God was a mythical figure that he was told stories off with nothing to show for it. He did believe at one point but then his dad never got better, his mom wore bruises of every shade, and his brother found comfort in drugs.
He found himself praying when he was being tortured by the Mexican cartel. Between the flashbacks of his abusive past, he prayed to a god who had failed him so many times before to help him. He prayed again as he dug himself out of that Texas grave with the major’s jaw bone. He wailed his prayers when he found his family executed after Sparks tried to kill him.
After that he deemed himself a Godless man. Years of praying had passed with nothing. This god had decided that Simon was not worthy of a miracle so why would he continue to worship him?
That was until he met you. He finds himself praying before every mission, every time he has to leave you, every time he’s on his way home, and just about any other time he thinks of you. He doesn’t know what exactly he’s praying for other than for you to be there when he gets back.
He whispers his prayers to an absent god against your skin as he worships your body, soul, and heart. He promises to be devoted to you until his last breath and vows to find you again in whatever afterlife awaits you. He pledges to find solace in you and only you when his haunting nightmares return. He makes an oath to your heart that it will never weather another storm alone again for his will take whatever beating that comes your way. He shows you that he will love you in the same manner as a Hozier song; putting you above all else because you have become his religion, his faith, his beliefs, his life.
You have become all that he is and he thanks the god he once believed in for you. He prays again but to you, his heart, his love, and his beacon through the enteral storm of life.

He bit the inside of his cheek as he watched the sleek back car roll up in the long drive way from his office. Windows tinted but he could make out the faint outline of a person as they moved around before Oscar got out of the car to open the door for its passenger.
His new wife.
The words tasted sour on his tongue as he drank some of his whiskey, not caring that it was nine in the morning. He needed a pick-me-up for the day that was ahead.
Gleaming hair caught in the sunlight, a delicate hand with a blinding diamond hesitantly taking Oscar’s as red bottom Louis’ met the pavement.
His eyes narrowed a bit as he watched you, mere curiosity to see how you acted when he wasn’t around. When the wedding happened it was short and extravagant. All the glitz and glamour expected of such a pair. A politician's daughter and a booming business man whose money usually came tinted red. A shame that most of the world didn’t know your fathers money was just as dirty as his.
It was an alliance in London’s eyes. A step towards peace.
He hadn’t even seen you until the white lace veil was lifted.
You were pretty but that wasn’t enough to suddenly sway his mind into liking the whole arrangement. He didn’t have much choice. Having coppers on a payroll was a deal too good to pass up, so he agreed. Shook hands. It hadn’t mattered much, not in the long run. Lando was always busy. Always working. If a marriage hadn’t been forced upon him, he didn’t think he would’ve ever had a ring on his finger.
He watched silently as you waited for Oscar to grab your bags. Your eyes flickering around the property, taking in the well kept gardens and security cameras mounted every few yards. A fortress.
His eyes took in the dress you wore, expensive silk draped over skin. Flowing like liquid in the subtle summer breeze. He took note of how your hand kept flexing, the one with a ring. His ring.
The one he had slid on your finger a week ago as he whispered, “I do.” Your own voice low as you muttered the vow, eyes not meeting his.
He could barely remember what the kiss had been like. It was quick, soft. Obligatory. Both of you seemed relieved it was over with, arms linked with one another as you left the cathedral. White flower petals falling into hair as they were tossed into the sky.
Lando set his tumbler down and backed away from the window, trying to take a calming breath before walking downstairs. He needed to make this livable. An ecosystem. Staying out of each other's way, respecting boundaries. Telling where and what was off bounds. If you needed help, ask Oscar. If you wanted someone to talk to, also ask Oscar. Leave him be, because he was busy.
You seemed reasonable enough in the few minutes of shared company. You knew this was a business transaction. It wasn’t something to get hopes up on. Lando knew you were smart enough not to be a burden so hopefully it would feel like nothing had changed. Just an extra person in the household. Another echoing voice.
He could hear the sharp click of your heels as you entered the front foyer, the soft sound of your voice as you spoke in hushed tones. Your whole presence seemed cautious. Like you were treading in a minefield.
As he stepped down the stairs and into the light, your eyes met. The air shifting. Tense. Dangerous. Your painted lips pressed into a line as you waited for instruction. Ever obedient. Compliance being woven into you as a child.
He had met your father on more than one occasion and he knew he wasn’t a kind man.
But the problems of your past were yours.
Lando sighed lightly through his nose, head tilting and hands in pockets as he let himself look at you for another moment before dismissing Oscar.
The foyer was still. The only thing he could hear was the faint hum of electricity and birds outside. Watching you as you watched him.
“Nice drive?” He asked, not quite sure on the formalities of the situation.
You laughed slightly, the sound coming out in a short exhale as you looked away from him. “It was fine.”
He hummed, not seeing a point in furthering the conversation and he gestured for you to follow him.
୧‿̩͙ ˖︵ ꕀ⠀ ♱⠀ ꕀ ︵˖ ‿̩͙୨
The summer had gone by in a repetition of droning days and lonely dinners. The only thing keeping you company were the few books you packed, although you had already read through them all. An endless cycle of talking to the walls and sitting near your window, feeling like a modern day Rapunzel.
It’s not necessarily like you weren’t allowed to go anywhere, but it still felt off limits. Frowned upon. A burden if you were seen walking the halls.
His family didn’t like you very much. Which you both understood yet couldn’t come to terms with. They had to have known this wasn’t any more of your choice than it was his. And why shovel the blame onto someone’s child? It wasn’t your fault your father was corrupted and played a better hand.
Pressing your forehead against the cool glass, you watched as the world went by. The silent hum of air conditioning was the only thing to droll out your thoughts and lately it hadn’t been working. The room felt suffocating but there was no one to turn to. Even voicing your thoughts out loud to yourself seemed like some boundary was being crossed. Maybe even to yourself. That you were starting to get too comfortable.
Oscar seemed nice enough. Timid. Not sure how to approach you or if he even should. He brought your meals to your door like clock work. Part of you felt bad but the thought of eating in the dining room seemed like suicide. You had tried the first night, assuming that was just part of the routine. To have dinner with your…husband.
But Lando was nowhere to be found, leaving you at a large oak table alone and shoveling food around. Appetite non-existent. Oscar had told you he usually took dinner in his office. That most of the other members of the household ate out.
His words hit you dully as you stared at the polished wood, not quite believing this was going to be the rest of your life. Then again, you weren’t sure what you wanted. Did you want Lando to make an effort? Did you even want to be around him? You didn’t know much, just that he was a bad man. But aren’t they all? Apparently that’s all the world thought you were fit for. Violent men with money in their eyes.
No, you didn’t want to know him.
But god, loneliness caught up to everyone.
The hours ticked by and you sat there, tracing lines into the skin of your thighs with your nail. Over and over again till skin prickled and red lines appeared. The itch and sting foreign, numb. As if you’d shot your heart with novacaine. Your eyes unblinking as you did the action, pure muscle memory. You didn’t have to think. You didn’t want to.
At least you never wanted to think about yourself. Your situation. The listless marriage you now found yourself trapped in.
But your mind would wander. What did he get up to? What did he even do? Was it really any different from the current political affairs the nation got up to? Would he one day change his mind and want more?
The thought made you shiver, eyes trailing to your locked door. He’d never tried to come in. Hell, he’d never even been to your room. In the weeks you’d been there you had probably only seen him a handful of times. Walking down the hall and his eyes would catch yours for a moment but nothing else. Looking through you like a ghost. Cold. Indifferent. Sometimes you’d hear him in the house. Talking to Oscar or on the phone. Always business. Always something you didn’t understand.
He couldn’t seem bothered at the thought of you being around. Didn’t seem interested. And that weird, fucked up little voice in the back of your mind whispered that Lando was keeping himself entertained just fine. That he found comfort in other women. Having affairs. You barely felt married. There weren't technically any commitments beyond regurgitated vows. So why did the thought still make your stomach churn?
Perhaps it was the feeling of being unwanted. A constant companion of doubt. Your family didn’t want you, pawned you off. Your husband didn’t want you. You would never get to experience love. You’d go through life longing for creature comforts—
You pressed your forehead harder into the glass. Wanting the thoughts to stop. You pushed so hard you hoped it’d break and you’d go hurtling towards the ground.
There was a sharp knock on the door. Six o’clock sharp.
Dinner.
୧‿̩͙ ˖︵ ꕀ⠀ ♱⠀ ꕀ ︵˖ ‿̩͙୨
You felt like you were going insane. The walls bending inward. The wallpaper swirling. The ceiling breathing.
Crazy.
Wandering the halls was reckless but you started to care less and less if Lando saw you. For the first time in months you wanted him to see you. Be reminded that you were there. Proof you were alive. You were here. Even when it never felt like it. You felt like a phantom who haunted the house, mostly only coming out at night when the rest of the world slept. Chasing the creaks of wood and following the patterns in the rug. Chasing something. Feeling wild. Deranged like a white rabbit who was late for tea.
His mother yelled at you. For something, you weren’t sure what. It seemed like no matter what you did you were wrong. Skin not fitting right over bones. Disassociating and staring at her. That only made her more mad and she slapped you. Not for the first time. Hard across the face. You hadn’t noticed till you heard the echo of it around the kitchen. Didn’t realise till some of the staff gasped, hands flying over mouths. Glowing wide eyes staring at you in shock.
You blinked again, subtle warmth creeping into your cheek. Hand slowly going up to hold your face. What had you done wrong? Why were you always wrong?
His mother scoffed. “You’re no good. You’re not even all the way there are you?” With a look of disgust she turned away, disappearing down the hall.
One of the cooks slowly approached you, as if you were some wounded animal. Holding out a pack of ice. “I’m sorry,” she mumbled.
“For what?” Your voice sounded distant. Distorted. Like it was coming from somewhere else. Taking the ice, you left. Letting it sit in your hand instead, the bitter coldness of it sending a dull shock up your arm.
You felt like crying. At least you thought about it. But nothing would fall out. Your eyes felt dry and heavy. Staring at nothingness as you walked with your heartbeat thudding in your ears.
This was your life. This was going to be your forever. Sucked into yet another man's orbit who didn’t give a shit about you. Because fuck what you want, right?
You turned into what you thought was your bedroom. You weren’t quite sure how you got there. It had been odd lately. Like moments of time blacked out. Arriving one place and not knowing how you got there. Tuning out to your depressing reality.
You were going to die alone. It wasn’t even your fault. Or maybe it was. Maybe you should’ve tried harder. Fought your father and left as soon as you had turned of age. Why didn’t you try harder to fight back? Did some twisted part of you want this? The lack of effort. Things being handed to you. Maybe you thought you deserved it. After all, you'd been living off your fathers dirty money guilt free. Perhaps this was just your karma.
Longing for a life you’d never have.
You sucked in a sharp breath, tears finally beginning to prick at your eyes. The droplets stung so bad your vision went blurry.
You barely felt it as your knees hit the hard wooden floors. Didn’t register the scratching sound of your nails dragging against the planks, blindly trying to crawl your way out of the hell you were living. Feeling pathetic and ungrateful because you knew it could be worse. It could always be worse.
A sob left your throat, bubbling up and out like acid.
୧‿̩͙ ˖︵ ꕀ⠀ ♱⠀ ꕀ ︵˖ ‿̩͙୨
The door flew open to his office and he was about to yell at whoever had the audacity when he turned, paused. The look on Oscar’s face wasn’t one commonly seen.
“What?”
“There’s a problem.”
Lando sighed, tapping his pen on his desk. “Care to elaborate?”
“It’s your mother and your wife.”
Lando reared back slightly at the word. It wasn’t thrown around often. Hell, he hardly saw you. And when he did, when he’d catch you wandering around well past three in the morning something was just…off. He didn't know how to approach you. Or if he even should. You’d seemed equally disinterested by his company. Staring at him sometimes like he was an apparition that wasn’t meant to be there.
He wouldn’t blame you if you hated his guts. Lando knew most women would prefer a love filled marriage compared to whatever the hell they had.
“What about them?” He asked, eyes flicking down to his papers again. Not seeing why—
“The staff said there was an altercation in the kitchen.”
Pausing, his eyes flicked up. Brow raising.
Oscar sighed, “your wife is in your room.”
That got him up. What the hell were you doing in there? And why? It wasn’t like he kept important documents in there, he knew better than that but he still didn’t trust you much. You were your fathers daughter. Maybe this was all some ploy to get into his personal things, find weaknesses, cracks.
His feet moved briskly down the hall, his polished shoes clicking dully on the ornate rugs and painted eyes followed him as he went. Lando didn’t pause as he saw his door, didn’t pause as he turned the handle.
“What do—“
Lando halted to a stop as his eyes found you. Feeling as if the earth had been yanked out from beneath him when he heard you try to smother the sound of your crying with a hand. Curled up in the space between his bed and the nightstand. Looking so small as you trembled.
Your eyes didn’t meet his. He wasn’t even sure if you heard him come in. Your breathing was too fast, too ragged. Short bursts of oxygen, your lungs not being able to keep up.
He shut the door softly behind him and quietly made his way over to you, lowering himself to his knees. Debating if he should touch you or not. You hadn’t touched in months. Not since the wedding.
“Hey,” his voice was soft and you flinched. Head shooting up and staring at him. He’d never seen you look so frightened and you tried to push yourself back harder into the wall. Shaking your head as if he’d caught you doing something wrong.
He immediately caught the red outline of a hand on your cheek. His jaw clenched. An odd, unbearably awful sensation churned in his stomach at the thought of someone hurting you. Knowing it was his mother only made the fire burn hotter. He didn’t know why. It wasn’t like you were close. But the rage was itching up his spine like a spider.
“You’re okay,” he said again. His voice was rough, but a whisper. He reached out to you, slowly. Hands gently taking hold of you as he pulled your shaking frame into his, feeling the way your lungs struggled to catch up. Your muscles coiled in tension as he touched you. He hated it.
“You’re alright, darling.” He soothed your hair back, feeling your nails bite into his skin as you twisted the fabric of his shirt. Trying to ground yourself. Trying to make sense of it all. Of why he was here.
He knew it had to be confusing. That his sudden reassurance was off putting and regret was starting to inch its way up his throat. The spindly legs tickling and desperate. He should’ve handled this whole thing better. It was selfish. “I’m sorry,” he muttered. Holding your head beneath his chin as you tried to calm down. “I’m here, if you need me to be.”
You didn’t say anything. He wasn’t sure what to do. Where to go from there. This was new territory for him. Second guessing wasn’t usually in Lando’s playbook but you were something new entirely.
He began to lean away but your grip tightened on his shirt, your head pressing further into the crook of his neck.
Sighing, he maneuvered himself into a sitting position, holding you in his lap as he leaned against his bed. Giving you time. Gently running circles into the nape of your neck. His grandmother always did that for him, it always seemed to help calm him down. Lando waited patiently, taking in the faint scent of your shampoo. Smiling to himself a bit despite everything because it was the same one he used.
Slowly your harsh breathing began to subside but your body still trembled from the aftershocks.
His fingers still ran lightly over your skin, his voice a low hum and he could feel the vibration of his own rib cage with your weight against him. “I’ve had panic attacks too, you know?”
You didn’t do anything for a moment, and then, like the first break of daylight, you slightly shifted your head and your voice was a whisper. “Really?”
“Mhm.”
୧‿̩͙ ˖︵ ꕀ⠀ ♱⠀ ꕀ ︵˖ ‿̩͙୨
Something had shifted. Maybe others wouldn’t have noticed, but you did. That next morning there was a knock on your bedroom door. Eight o’clock sharp. You hadn’t slept much, your eyes still raw and body restless from the previous evening. The feeling of his light, delicate touch on you was on replay in the back of your mind. You hadn’t been held in what felt like years.
You hadn’t expected such kindness from him.
Padding over to the door, you rubbed at your eyes, trying to look alive before opening it. “Morning, Oscar–” you blinked at the form of Lando standing in the hall. Wearing a casual linen shirt and dress pants, jacket draped over one arm and he looked at you expectantly.
“Ready?” He asked.
You felt dumb as you continued to stare at him. Not expecting to see him so soon. Not thinking he’d even want to see you after yesterday’s mess. “What?”
He sighed lightly through his nose. “We’re going out for breakfast.”
“Why?”
There was a slight crease forming between his brows. “Do you not want to?”
You blinked again before reality finally caught up to you. “No, no. That’s fine. Just… let me get dressed.” You eyed him as you shut the door. He was acting weird.
It was nice.
୧‿̩ ˖︵ ꕀ⠀ ♱⠀ ꕀ ︵˖ ‿̩͙୨
“What on earth are you doing?” His mother shouted over the sound of a power drill. Standing in the doorway with her arms crossed.
Lando looked at her for only a moment. Still cross with her after the kitchen incident a couple of weeks ago. He had yelled at her after he managed to get you into bed. Yelled at his whole family. The staff, for not telling him.
“She is the lady of the household and my wife. You do not touch her, you do not say a fucking word to her unless it’s praise.” He looked directly at his mother. “Understood?”
“I’m building a reading nook.” He finally said, standing back to look at his progress so far. He took you to the fabric store yesterday but you were beyond indecisive and he wasn’t sure the new couch went with the interior of his office.
He had been trying to go out more, just small places. When he found out you hadn’t left the house since you arrived he was confused and furious with Oscar. His friend and right hand had merely raised his hands in surrender, muttering how you had never wanted to go anywhere.
“Whatever for? Since when do you read for pleasure?” His mother asked, mostly teasing. Trying to weave her way back into his good graces. He doubted that would ever happen. He was on the verge of throwing her out but you managed to talk him out of it.
“It’s not for me.” Lando left it at that. Watching how his mother’s shoulders fell at the realisation and she turned away.
He smiled slightly to himself as he set up the couch, pushing it under the window so you could get good light and a nice view of the gardens. Plus, he could watch you more easily from his desk when he worked.
You looked pretty when you were reading.
୧‿̩͙ ˖︵ ꕀ⠀ ♱⠀ ꕀ ︵˖ ‿̩͙୨
For the first time in months you were bored, and not in a bad way. Lando made sure there was always something for you to do when he wasn’t around. Part of you felt bad, following him around like a kicked puppy. But any time you’d start to back off, give him some space, it was like his hand blindly found yours, not even looking up from his work, tugging you back.
Muttering a quiet, “stay.”
You tried to ignore the butterflies that began fluttering in your stomach, chasing after whatever this was. You didn’t know why you felt stubborn over it. He was your husband after all, butterflies are supposed to be a good thing.
You took up cooking as a hobby, mostly different kinds of fresh pasta. Trying to keep your hands steady as Lando would walk behind you, fingers lightly dragging along the small over your back. Leaning over your shoulder, lips nearly brushing your neck as he quietly spoke, “that looks lovely.”
He always spoke so softly to you. His touch always delicate.
୧‿̩͙ ˖︵ ꕀ⠀ ♱⠀ ꕀ ︵˖ ‿̩͙୨
Lando fixed his cuff links as he stood in the foyer, making sure his suit was wrinkle free in the large mirror. There was a big Christmas gala that night in London. A whole cluster of politicians, businessmen, philanthropists, etc. He didn’t have much of a role to play besides being seen, given his bookies did most of the under the table work.
When he’d asked you to go with him, you hesitated. He knew seeing your father was something you’d like to avoid. Over time you slowly opened up to him about how strained the relationship was.
He had lifted a hand to your cheek, gently brushing his knuckles along your cheekbones, watching in satisfaction as your pupils expanded at his touch. “I won't let him near you,” he whispered. Watching as you debated before eventually nodding, leaning slightly into his touch.
When he heard the sound of heels clicking sharply against marble flooring his eyes flicked up, watching you approach in the mirror. Looking like heaven in high heels. Your black dress fit you perfectly, the white fur shawl was draped lazily over your shoulders.
Lando felt his mouth go dry as he turned, his heartbeat pounding in his ears as you approached. The sweet smell of your perfume swirling around him, making him feel hazy.
God, if you knew what you did to him.
It seemed like every night now that he dreamt of kissing you, doing a whole list of unruly things. Despite the ring on his hand and yours it still felt off limits. Not feeling sure of what you actually wanted.
“Ready?” You asked, a small smile playing on your lips.
He blinked at you, still in a daze. “What?”
You bit your lip, holding back a laugh and he felt his stomach pool.
“The gala. Yes, right.” He cleared his throat, not thinking twice as he took your hand. “Let’s go.”
୧‿̩͙ ˖︵ ꕀ⠀ ♱⠀ ꕀ ︵˖ ‿̩͙୨
You felt all the eyes on you as he took you around the dance floor. The whispers. Lando Norris’ wife who he liked to keep hidden away. Apparently most people hadn’t even known he was married. They thought you were just a new date till they saw the blinding diamond on your finger and his matching gold one.
You felt stiff. Too perceived.
But he lightly took hold of your chin between his fingers, making you look at him.
“It’s just you and me, love.”
Love. You felt equally reassured and nauseous.
୧‿̩͙ ˖︵ ꕀ⠀ ♱⠀ ꕀ ︵˖ ‿̩͙୨
Lando was using every excuse he could to touch you. Hand splaying on the small of your back where your dress dipped low. Fingers lightly brushing the back of your neck as he talked to the other guests. Hand on your thigh beneath the table. When he’d first done it you jumped slightly and his heart skipped a beat when you looked at him, eyes low, before turning away again and taking a sip of your wine.
He couldn’t help it as his lips pulled back slightly when he began to rub circles with his thumb, feeling the muscles of your leg tighten. But you leaned toward him, an invitation. He felt more drunk off of you than any wine he had been drinking.
He’d only see glimpses of your father. Lingering to the side of the ballroom walls. Whispering in corners with other greedy men. His eyes always on you, though.
Lando didn’t like it. Then again he never liked anything enough for that to be a fair test. But he knew never to ignore his intuition, so he took your hand in his and tugged you along until you were outside, the cold December air twirling around them.
You shivered as you waited for the valet to pull his McLaren around, blushing a bit when he draped his jacket over your shoulders. Or maybe it was just the wind, he wasn’t sure. But he’d liked to think he made you flustered.
The engine purred as he drove away, feeling your eyes on him as city lights flicked back.
“Why’d we leave early?” You finally asked.
His grip adjusted on the steering heel, looking in the rearview mirror, always vigilant. He hadn’t realised till now that going public made you a target. Made him vulnerable.
“Just wanted to,” is all he offered. Not wanting to scare you. He knew you already had a difficult time adjusting to his world. Then again he shouldn’t cut you any credit. Growing up with your father couldn’t have been any easier.
You hummed, not believing him. Your eyes finally pulled away to stare out the window. Letting him relax. It was strange, having somebody for the first time see him. The thought was equally relieving and terrifying.
When they pulled up to the house the car fell quiet, a heavy silence falling over like a blanket. He wanted to say more to you, but what? This was all new territory and the thought of messing up this bridge he’d built—
“Lando.”
He turned, looking at you as moonlight painted your skin through the window.
You reached forward, hand taking his, “I know you’ll keep me safe.” Another pause and you played with his wedding ring. “I trust you.”
୧‿̩͙ ˖︵ ꕀ⠀ ♱⠀ ꕀ ︵˖ ‿̩͙୨
A loud thud woke you up, your heart beating erratically as your door handle began to move. Thankful that you had locked it but fear was still crawling up your spine. You were just about to reach for your phone to call someone for help when a ragged voice poured out from the other side, weakly saying your name. The sound of a body slumping to the floor.
Lando.
You quickly tore off the sheets, stumbling a bit in the dark and you yanked your door open. A hand flying up to your mouth as you took in the state of him. Bruised and slick with blood, one arm wrapped around his rib cage, his breath rattling.
His eyes cracked open, gleaming in the low lamp light of the hall. His lips pulling back in a bloodied grin.
“Hello, darling.”
“Oh my god,” you did your best to get him up, almost falling under his weight as you maneuvered him to your bathroom. “What happened?”
Your heart lurched as Lando coughed, turning his head to spit out some blood into the bin and he sat himself up on the sink. Wincing as he did so. Not answering you.
“Lando,” you said quietly, afraid that even loud noises would hurt him and you gently took hold of his face in your hands. Not caring blood and dirt would get on them. Gently running your thumbs along his cheek bones.
He seemed to melt into you, letting his head fall forward and rest against yours as you brushed the damp curls back. Seeing him like this was a new kind of pain you never wanted to experience again.
“Who did this to you?” Although your voice was gentle, there was a layer of conviction under it that even surprised you.
He sighed, a wheeze coming up from the back of his throat and his hands came up to hold onto your wrists. You didn’t miss his cracked and bleeding knuckles.
“I have a duty of care,” he muttered.
Your father. You felt like throwing up.
Gently pulling his head forward, you held him to you. Letting his heartbeat bring some life back into you. He was okay. He was here. He came back to you. Everything would be fine.
Slowly, Lando’s arms wrapped around you, holding you as tight as he could.
“I’m going to kill him,” you mumbled into his hair and he laughed, not caring that it hurt.
He leaned his head back slightly, eyes flicking between your own and your lips. His hand that had snaked up to the back of your neck pulling you in slightly. Hesitant. Then all at once.
Mouths colliding, a kiss that felt like a tuning fork struck against a star.
His fingers twined in your hair and you tried to be gentle with him. As much as you could. But the feeling of finally was making you feel weightless. Reckless. Desperate as he held you tighter.
You felt high as he whispered the words my wife between kisses.
“So much for a marriage of convenience,” you managed after you pulled away. You didn’t want to, but he needed your help.
He smiled again, those dimples you loved so much deepening in his cheeks. “Nah,” he said lightly. “I think this will be a marriage of inconvenience.”
And he kissed you again.

pairings: Onyankopon x black reader
warnings: fluffy, suggestive ending
inspired by this vid
Promise
“Ony” you called out as you walked into your shared home.
“In here” he called from the kitchen.
“Hi baby” you cheesed as you walked up behind him, your arms wrapping around his bare torso.
“Hi, mama” he lifted an arm, shifting his body so he leaned against the counter. Enveloping you into his arms so he stared down at you. “How was your day, baby?” he scanned your face.
“It was good” you sang. “It was a lil busy at the salon today, but I had a cancellation so I jus did my nails instead. look.'' you put your hand in front of his face. your long square shaped nails filled with gold sparkles and gold charms.
“They look pretty, baby. You’re so talented” he grabbed your hand admiring your work.
“Yeah? Plus, they go super well with the promise ring you got me” you smiled, your eyes looking up at him with pure adoration.
“They do” he chuckled, as he adjusted the ring he got for you last year when you started dating.
“Can’t believe i’ve had this for a year” you looked at your hand.
“You hinting you ready for me to get down on one knee? Cause if that’s the case just give me a month to have everything ready nd I got you mama” he smirked, pulling you closer so your bodies were touching.
“No that’s not what i’m hinting. m’just saying it’s probably time for me to get you one.”
“You should, I think I should get one. Whatchu think?” he held up his bare hand with a smirk.
“Yeah? Want me to get you one?” you smiled.
“Nah youn gotta get me one ma, I mean you can if you want to, but you don’t need to spend any money on one. we can wait til our wedding” he shrugged.
“Or I can just give it to you now” you said just above a whisper. pulling out a black velvet box, you gently place it into his hand. taking a step back to gauge his reaction. “Open it, baby” you whispered when he just stared at the box.
“What is this ma?” he looked up, his voice brittle.
“Just open it baby” you said softly.
With a shaky breath and even shakier hands, he opened the box. Inside a gold band with a rose engraved into it
“I wanted it to match mine, but if you want, we can make some alterations” you tried to see his face, your nerves rising as you watched him put the ring on. heart hammering as you watched him clench his hand into a fist.
“No this is perfect” his voice was raspy as he stared down at his hand.
“Baby?” you cautiously walked up to him. your hands gently caressing his face as he finally raised his head to meet your eyes. “Oh papa” you whispered as you pressed a gentle kiss to his lips. wiping away the tears that fell from his eyes. “It’s okay, baby” you soothed him, as you looked at the tight grip his teeth had on his bottom lip. “It's okay to cry” you hugged him tightly.
“This is…I don’t even know what to say princess. thank you” he sniffled bringing you into a hug once again.
“Of course, baby.” you sighed. “Look now we’re matching” you held up your conjoined hands. “Ain’t gon be able to tell us shit” you giggled.
“Nah they definitely not” he laughed along with you. “Ion know how im ever gonna be able to repay you mama” he shook his head, admiring the ring you got him.
“You don’t have to repay me Ony. I just wanted to visibly express my love to you pa.”
“I know, I know, it’s just…no one’s ever done this before. loved me the way you do.”
“Aww, well im glad to be the first” you pouted.
“First and last” he smirked. “Now I know you said I didn't have to repay you” his hands traveled down to her thighs.
“But i'd love to show you another way of how much I appreciate you.”

Blank minds
Tumblr media
@selfishlittlebeing asked:
Hi! So basically I just read every single one shot on this blog. And I am obsessed with your work. And I gotta admit that, “Wounded nights” did things to me.🧍🏼‍♀️
I’m not sure if I am requesting or smth (if you’d like to write this I wouldn’t protest, but feel free to just ponder on this with me). But like… I can’t get the image of touch starved Five out of my head. Bcs…damn. Him holding the reader in his arms like that (WN)… but can you imagine HIM having a vulnerable moment because of all that stuff with the Commission and apocalypses, just the trauma package yk. And after all those years…just Five being vulnerable with someone and touch starved.🥲 I am making myself feel depressed with all this. Wanna be depressed with me?🎀
Summary: After Luthers wedding, most of the siblings already gone to bed. You didn't feel like drinking, but loved to watch the others drown their sorrows into liquor and just have fun. Just as you were about to fall into a deep sleep, a knock on your door pulls you out of your slumber.
Thank you for your lovely request! Also, here a sexy poster from Five I fell in love with! With every purchase you automatically support me :) https://amzn.to/3yGK6Fm
“Since everything will be dust soon anyway, you won't mind if I just lie down here for a while, will you?”
You're up to your nose under your eiderdown, with only the sound of collapsing buildings coming through your window. It may sound crazy to others, but for you, it's been part of everyday life for a week. Counting every second, spending the last time with your family and savoring it. There is nothing more precious than time. Money has no value anymore, but the ticking hands of the grandfather clock do have.
Your thoughts hover over your head like gray clouds. Since the first day you slept in that hotel bed, falling asleep felt like hell. You tried a lot to finally fall asleep normally again. But every time you closed your eyes, you were met with nightmares, worse than you could ever have imagined. You were sure that this couldn't be the end, it simply couldn't be.
Like every night, you try to push the thoughts aside, to repress them as if they had never been there. But a loud and uneven knocking jolts you out of your sleep like a thunderstorm. You startle awake and clutch at the sheets of your bed. “Yes!” you shout, but it sounded more like a question than an encouragement. You watch every movement, sharper than Diego's blades. As Five stumbles in, you let out a breath you didn't even released you were holding.
“You scared me,” you mumble. "I scared you, so please, why should anyone be scared of me?" he says to himself. Any blind person would have recognized that Five had probably had a little too much to drink at Luther's wedding. Five doesn't finish the sentence and drops his head down as he continues to mumble to himself. After he fell back against the door, you gave him a worried look. “Thanks for closing the door, but I think you have a concussion now,” I smirk to myself. Five starts to giggle. “The world is coming to an end,” he says, and pushes away from the door again.
You look out of the window that separated you from the crumbling outside world. Instead of bright sunshine, dark red fire dazzles your eyes, bricks fly off buildings and trees uproot themselves. “No, really?” you ask him sarcastically as you turn back to him. You suppress your horror as he suddenly stands right in front of you. He holds on to the edge of your bed. You think about how he managed to approach you so quietly, the alcohol in his blood must be enough to put a chimpanzee down.
“Since everything will be dust soon anyway, you won't mind if I just lie down here for a while, will you?” he asks as he tries to climb onto the bed. “Five, eh?” you ask as you hold him down so he doesn't slide off. He awkwardly pushes himself over your legs, which elicits a small squeak from your mouth. “You're really rough, Five,” you complain, but you just couldn't help the smile on your face.
You had never seen Five so shameless. Five, who is usually so strong and independent, asks you if he can lie down with you for a moment. As you think about it for a moment, you briefly doubt your sanity. Was this a fever dream? But Five's careless hand movement presses your torso so hard into the mattress beneath you that you're sure it would have shaken you awake. “I've never seen you so awkward,” you squeeze your words out of the pain. “I'm sorry, but your bed is sooo soft,” he lulls to himself. You shake your head and stifle the comment that the beds here were all the same.
“Five, why are you really here?” you ask him. He lies down on his stomach and presses his head into your pillow. He mumbles his words into the fabric so that you can only guess what he's saying. “I don't understand a word, you stupid…” you grumble to yourself as you grab a tuft of his hair and push his head to the side.
Five groans softly as you move his head, his eyes half-lidded and unfocused. You wait for him to speak, but it seems like he’s struggling to find the right words. He’s always been the one with the sharp tongue, the quick wit, and seeing him like this—vulnerable and slightly lost—pulls at something deep inside you.
“I didn’t want to be alone,” he finally mutters, his voice slurred but honest. “I’ve been alone for so long... and I guess I’m tired of it.” His words are a confession, raw and unguarded, much like the state he's in now. You’ve seen Five in many situations—fighting, strategizing, leading—but this is different. This is Five without his armor, without the walls he usually keeps so firmly in place.
You feel a pang in your chest, a mix of sadness and empathy. You’ve always known there was more to him than the ruthless time-traveling assassin he often portrayed himself to be. But hearing him admit his loneliness is something else entirely. "I understand you, Five," you say. He smiles and sightly closes his eyes. "I didn't want to be alone too, so I am happy that you are here now, I would've preferred sober Five, but this is also ok", you smile at him.
You let your body fall back into your pillows, Five, who was still lying on his stomach, watching you. You put your head to one side and just look at him motionlessly. “Promise you won't tell anyone about the following?” he asks you. You don't understand exactly what he means. “I hardly think I have enough time left to tell anyone anything,” you say, with an unintentional sweep of sadness. “Promise” he whispers to you, while looking at you with begging eyes. Not only the pungent smell of alcohol, but also his seriousness to fly in your face. “I won't tell anyone,” you promise. Without warning, Five starts to move again. He pushed your arm up and curled up on your chest, like a cat looking for warmth.
Seeing five like this was new and made you very afraid to admit it to yourself. He cared so much about maintaining his strong, unbreakable personality that his current behavior frightened you. Despite the unfamiliar feeling of five so close to you, you almost automatically put your arms around his slender torso. His fingers slide onto the sides of your torso, clutching on it as if it was a matter of life or death.
"Five, what's wrong?", you ask him. "I am fucking scared", he lulls. His confession hangs in the air, heavy with the weight of his vulnerability. You can feel your heart rate quicken, the tension in the room shifting as you process his words. It’s a rare glimpse into the inner workings of Five’s mind, and the openness is both unsettling and intimate.
“Scared of what exactly?” you ask gently. “Everything,” he replies, his voice barely above a whisper. “The end of it all… the not knowing". The tremor in his voice sends a shiver down your spine, and you can't help but tighten your hold on him. You want to reassure him, to tell him that everything will be okay, but the truth is you’re scared too. The world outside is crumbling, and the future feels uncertain for both of you.
He shifts slightly, looking up at you with his tired eyes. “I don’t want to let anyone down. Not you, not the others. I’ve messed up so many times already.” His voice is tinged with a mix of regret and fear, and you can see the conflict waging within him. “If we lose, at least we'll lose together,” you say. It didn't really sound encouraging, but you couldn't think of anything better. “Do you think you'll regret this tomorrow?” you whisper without looking at him.
Five’s grip on your chest tightens just a little, and you can feel the slight shivering in his body as he processes your words. The silence that follows feels heavy, filled with the weight of the world outside and the vulnerability between you. “No,” he finally murmurs, his voice soft but resolute. “I won’t regret this. I might not remember every detail of tonight, but I’ll remember the way it felt to finally....", you wait for him to end his sentence.
"feel you", he says, so quietly that you almost missed it.. There is a silence in the room, your body is no longer able to move. Your brain needs some time to process his words. “I went too far, I'm sorry I…” he tries to apologize. He pushes away from your body and leans on his arms. But before he can finish his sentence and move away from you completely, you put your hands around his face and crash your lips into his.
The moment your lips meet Five’s, time seems to suspend itself. The world outside, with its crumbling chaos, fades into the background, leaving just the two of you in this small, intimate bubble. His initial shock quickly melts away, and he responds with a tentative but heartfelt kiss. His lips are soft and warm, and the urgency in his movements gradually transforms into something more tender and searching.
As you pull away slightly, you can see the surprise in his eyes, mingled with a hint of relief and something deeper that he might not fully understand himself. You’re both breathing heavily, the gravity of the moment settling in. “I didn’t want to...,” Five starts to say, but you place a finger gently over his lips, silencing him. “Don’t,” you whisper, your voice barely more than a breath.
“You don’t have to apologize. Not now. Not ever.” Five’s expression softens, and he looks at you with a mixture of awe and vulnerability. “I’ve been so caught up in trying to control everything, in fighting against the end, that I forgot about what really matters. I didn’t realize... I didn’t realize how much I needed this, how much I needed you.”
Feel free to tell me in the comments, what you think :)

Most iconic Xie Lian moments according to me
Contains spoilers!!!
"Xie Lian didn't know whether to laugh or cry"
Keeping every memento of his worst time ever as a reminder of why being kind and forgiving is worth it
When he runs off after he gives Hua Cheng CPR that one time pretending he's looking for his hat
When he keeps roasting Xiao Ying's looks even as she's dying
When he was a prince and he was told his future looked dark and he said that can't be cause he only wears white
Eating food off the ground
Building his own temple, we love a girl boss
When he pet E'Ming like a little puppy after being explicitly told not to ever touch it under any circumstances
Putting Banyue in a pickle jar
When Wuming said he would follow Xie Lian to the death and Xie Lian went "youre already dead"
Breaking rocks on his chest for money
Being trampled to death as general Hua, doormat core
The whole Fangxin Guoshi arc, whew 🥵
Carrying around a big ass bag of scraps everywhere
When he became jealous of Hua Cheng's special someone not realizing the very obvious fact that he was Hua Cheng's special someone actually
Slapping tf out of Qi Rong for making fun of Hua Cheng being blind in one eye
Pretending he had no idea who Nan Feng and Fu Yao were
When Mu Qing and Feng Xin were freaking about how creepy the Ten Thousands Gods Cave was whilst he found it incredibly romantic
Being a bit too into pretending to be Hua Cheng's puppet on Mount Tonglu
Feeding into E'Ming's praise kink
When he disguised himself as a pregnant lady to be possessed by the evil fetus spirit and it worked
When he disguised himself as a woman so badly he looked hideous and needed help to not look like that
When he spent the entirety of the Xuan Ji capturing business in his wedding dress disguise, including meeting Pei Xiu like that
It hurts, it hurts, it hurts-
When his response to the sex pollen was to kill himself
"I do not worship god, i am god!"
Every single sweet and tender interaction with Hua Cheng's butterflies that everyone else is terrified of
When everyone ignored him in the communication array because he was cringe
Getting drunk on a tombstone with little ghost fire Hua Cueng after his life fell apart
Controversial but i think his calamity era was also iconic and very sexy
When Heaven's Eye said his lips are exuding evil energy and he turned bright red
And then later when Heaven's Eye said the evil energy is inside him and he immediately changed the subject
Recognizing literally everyone despite their disguises but keeping quiet about it not to embarrass them.
Calling Yin Yu boring and forgettable looking to his face
Defending Hua Cheng, evil ghost king, in front of the whole entire Heavenly Emperor
When he was working in the rice field with Hua Cheng and he kept staring
Being poor
Having ridiculously bad luck
Ascending three times
Big daddy issues even with his dad still alive
When his life had just fallen apart and he didnt know how much a lantern could cost because he had been ridiculously rich all his life

Kissing Hua Cheng for spiritual energy in front of literally everyone more than once
When he could hear rats talking???
Adopting children
Not iconic Xie Lian behaviors
His abhorrent cooking
Trying to kill himself???

Do you ever get kind of interested in a subject where nothing weird has happened yet but you know something weird is going to happen?
Anyway, Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. It was originally a upscale resort community, and also still is: it's where rich people from Chicago kept their lake houses, and maybe still do. Its heyday was in the early to mid 20th century, where its status as a vacation destination was so set that Hugh Hefner even put the first ever "Playboy Resort" there. I haven't been there myself, so I may be wrong, but it doesn't give me, like, Pigeon Forge or Niagara Falls energy. The list of attractions online seems to be spas and parks and a few theaters.
But Lake Geneva is more famous now for its most famous son, Gary Gygax. Over the course frigid Wisconsin winters, he and several wargaming friends who didn't become famous developed tactical wargaming into the game Dungeons & Dragons in the early 1970s. He also began hosting a small gaming meetup in Lake Geneva, later called Gen Con, which outgrew the town by the late 1970s.
As I understand it, Lake Geneva didn't really embrace its status as the Birthplace of Dungeons and Dragons. When Gygax died, there were fan-funded tributes here and there, and fans created a new convention in his honor called Gary Con where they played games from his time at TSR, but D&D was still a niche hobby and not the thing you define a rich people resort town around.
Then, whoops, shows like Critical Role turned D&D into one of the most popular entertainment properties in the world! Now there's D&D-themed events popping up all over the place. Some of this is normal, like efforts to fund a more prominent memorial for Gary Gygax, and a Dragon Days Fantasy Festival. But some are going further. Because there are now at least two proposals to create immersive, D&D-themed LARP experiences in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, population 8,227
One is a large themed restaurant/bar/wedding venue (?) called the Griffin and Gargoyle, which is supposedly opening in 2024, though all the art is concept art and they're still looking for investors.
Tumblr media
The other one is Giantlands, the proposed theme park where the tickets will be NFTs, based on a game no one's heard of developed by the son of Gary Gygax by a company that legally can't call itself TSR anymore, but tried anyway before rebranding as Wonderfilled, and who also tried to make old Gygax games even more racist? I can't even begin to explain this. I think they got dunked on years ago but they were still hyping up its Lake Geneva theme park that's definitely going to exist this week (this is from August 11th)
Tumblr media
What's incredible to me here is that they're boasting that their LARP theme park will be from the makers of Evermore Park. Nothing says quality in immersive fantasy roleplaying parks like someone whose main claim to fame is making that other one that failed. Wonder how many real tombstones and haunted dolls they'll buy this time. And this one appears to have fighting arena
I seriously doubt these are the only two pitches. Everyone with too much money and a love for theme parks feels the little voice in their head saying they can do the Star Wars Hotel right. I think what gets me here is, nobody would put anything like this in Lake Geneva otherwise. It's small, it's located in Wisconsin so it'd have to be seasonal, and it's less than two hours away from Wisconsin Dells - an entire town of kitschy roadside attractions - and even closer to Chicago, which is Chicago. Its tourism niche is beaches and homes around a scenic lake. The only reason to place anything there would be to honor Gary Gygax, and uh, I don't think the younger people who got into D&D with 5E really care about him, or even necessarily know who he is. Gary Con and most Gygax-themed events are for old-school gamers, not the Critical Role crowd. And they especially don't care about whatever Giantlands is. Giantlands as a game is so old-school there isn't even a PDF of the book, it's physical only. They want to build a full theme park around a game you can't even buy on DrivethruRPG. Anyway I hope all this open bc it would be funny

Konoha 12 Domestic/Spousal Headcanons
Tumblr media
Tags/Warnings: No Reader Pronouns, Boruto Doesn't Exist, No Mentions of Children/Adoption
Completed versions of these headcanons will be linked on the character's name.
𓆃 Choji
THE BEST COOK ON THIS LIST NO ONE CAN COMPARE
Loves bonding over cooking and baking— whatever you like! If there's anything you're ever craving, Choji is taking to the kitchen to make you a gourmet meal as good as any professional chef!
Prime rib, lamb, tartare, croissants, macarons, soups! It doesn't matter your allergies or preferences, Choji can and will make you any food your heart desires.
Offers excellent cuddles. 11/10 squishy and soft.
Is very understanding, a fantastic listener, and naturally positive.
Never lets the romance l die, and after a hard day at work, will feed you ice cream while you rant about your day.
𓆃 Hinata
Traditional wife who has always wanted to be a traditional wife since she was a kid.
Content with cooking, doing laundry, and other domestic work.
Although, because of the society and the way she was brought up, she might feel insecure transitioning out of shinobi life.
While being made to feel weak isn't something Hinata is a stranger to, she is sensitive to comments from others about her domestic life.
Be sure to give her lot of reassurance and validate her work around the house.
𓆃 Ino
Also wanted to be a wife growing up, but the stay-at-home life is clearly not for her.
She'll try it for a period of time after your wedding or union, but she's far too restless for cooking and cleaning.
You supposed that she thought it would be relaxing and aesthetic, but if anything, she's getting frustrated and throwing the potato across the kitchen as soon as it slips out of her hand.
Ino will eventually find important work to do, come home to complain about it over dinner, and buy you something nice in a half-brag about how much more money she's making.
This is, of course, not to say she's bad at housework or doesn't do her share. She's perfectly good at domestic work and does the bulk of it, but the moment you expect it from her is the moment she stops.
𓆃 Kiba
A slob who, if allowed, will live in heaps of trash.
For the bulk of his 20s, he'll be super unsure of the whole settling down thing. You could make a whole bingo chart out of the cliche bachelor lines he spouts.
I'm not really a marriage kinda guy. I don't wanna tie myself down to a ball and chain. I just wanna meet people. I'm looking for someone who doesn't take themselves too seriously. Nah, I'm not looking for a relationship.
That is... until one day he wakes up and desperately wants a family of his own. To an extreme extent. Like his expectations are absolutely insane.
As a husband, you'll need to reevaluate those and have a nice long chat because at the beginning of your relationship he will certainly not be pulling his weight.
𓆃 Lee
Sweet, clingy, loving and sincere man.
Ah, you are the sun, the moon, and the world to Lee. He is constantly thinking of or doing the sweetest possible thing he possibly could for you at any given hour of the day.
Is his execution great? You'd give it a 50/50. Does he ever take a break? NO.
Whether it's breakfast in bed or going on a grocery run to get it off your plate, you're sure to have to put out one fire and learn how to use 20 carrots in your meal prep for the week.
He really tries his best, he just gets a little excited.
𓆃 Naruto
Another slob, although well intended.
Naruto never had a formal family growing up, and so he has little ideas of what's expected.
Much of his idea of what a partnership should be comes from media or stupid things that Shikamaru probably told him on the playground growing up, so you'll have to work together as a team to set expectations.
A lot of what he does for you is in his language (you have to learn that him making you both ramen cups is indeed a romantic gesture for him), but he loves exploring things that you like!
Naruto explores your likes and hobbies in a very genuine and non-performative way. Sharing things you enjoy together will be the foundation of your relationship.
𓆃 Neji
You'll spend your first year of marriage focused heavily on strict boundaries, expectations, and other couples work.
The way Neji was brought up completely fractured his sense of family. Not to mention, no matter what you're like Neji will certainly have to fight with his family in a silent battle over clan politics.
Because even though the Hyuga clan has stopped certain practices, doesn't mean that everyone in the clan is in mutual agreement or share similar attitudes with each other.
This will be a marriage built on structure and meaningful confrontation. Neji is determined to break the cycles of his family to make a healthy life with you.
𓆃 Sakura
Wasn't sure if she'd end up with a partner. She really wanted it, but with everything that happened in her life, she had her doubts.
Most definitely too hard on herself. Sakura pushes herself to almost fall over you to ensure you're pleased. Whether it's housework or cooking, there's a part of her that feels the need to prove her work ethic.
It's the small things with Sakura. Even after a long day at work, she'll still bring you your favorite home for dinner, even if the place is out of the way. She'll stay up an hour later to spend time with you even if she has an early morning.
𓆃 Sasuke
An ironic mix between Naruto and Sakura.
As a kid, Sasuke 100% wanted to be a husband when he grew up. 100% wanted to have a spouse to provide for and had similar dreams that some kids often do when they think about families.
But after the Uchiha Tragedy, much of Sasuke's outlook about his future has been skewed. Any relationship will start off as rather unstable and you can almost count on Sasuke being emotionally distant
It's about how the two of you work through his baggage and his willingness to be vulnerable.
𓆃 Shikamaru
Surprisingly well-adjusted?
He knows how to do basic life skills. Pulls his weight and sometimes even does your tasks. Shikamaru is generally clean and organized.
Where's the problem? He's terrified of commitment.
Most of the relationships in the Nara clan seem to consist of passive Nara men with verbose spouses who have no issue bossing their partners around.
But at the same time, Shikamaru doesn't mind this dynamic. He wants to laze, but he's also almost seemingly afraid of dynamics that allow him to laze.
He'll be just fine around the house, just a bit dramatic if you ever ask him to do anything. He'll get over it.
𓆃 Shino
Great husband and great family to marry into.
Just overall very balanced, if not quiet. The Aburame clan is close, but respectful of each other. You'll never have to deal with nagging in-laws because Shibi has already taken you in as one of his own.
Enjoy fresh meals of produce expertly tended to from the garden.
While Shino has his more talkative side when it comes to people he's close to, he's still quiet by nature. Don't expect that to change just because you've gotten married.
The obvious con is the massive amount of insects that will constantly be around you. You're not allowed to trap them or kill them.
You will have to get used to bugs crawling on you.
𓆃 Tenten
You're always doing something crazy.
You don't think any of the other Konoha 12 ever expected that Tenten would have the most exciting marriage, but look at her now.
You're always innovating, making new things for her business, and taking spontaneous trips to check out crafting techniques.
Anything and everything you set your mind to, you support each other in. There are ten million projects scattered around your home.
You roll up to get-togethers (when they seldom happen), being the most traveled and bringing the most unique gifts.
No one knows what you're going to be up to next.

husband hasan and his wife joking about tradwives while he’s streaming because it’s just funny to them. some might find it offensive but they think it’s funnyyyyy😭
like some douchebags in the chat making fun of hasan, saying… idk like man insults about muscles and hairlines and being alphas i guess…. hasan is like whatever dude im the biggest alpha, i got a tradwife who is barefoot and pregnant. it doesn’t get much manlier than me🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 she’s sitting there laughing because she knowssssssss hasan is more than an equal partner in housework, cooking, when you have kids, childcare, etc.
plus now when you join him on stream, he’ll hold your left hand, just so he can fiddle with your ring, just a physical reminder you’re legally bound to each other. doesn’t matter if it’s a plain band or a huge diamond, he just LOVES to show people that you’re both taken.
plus you thought he loved you and found you perfect and gorgeous before????? baby yall signed that piece of paper and exchanged rings and it’s OVER. you’re an actual goddess, you look hot with his ring he gave you, he literally cannot get enough of you
Literally you and hasan talking on stream about how you cook his meals, and clean his home, and give him all the sex he could want. And in return he gives you all the money you could ask for. Ya'know the best setup for a trad marriage.
Hasan always just like "idk what to tell you dude. I'm 6'5, built like house, loaded and I have barefoot pregnant wife. What more could an alpha ask for?" All while the two of you are laughing because, yeah, Hasan does do more than his fare share of housework, and he does pay the bill more often than not, and he makes sure to spend more than enough time with not just your kids but also you.
Just as he knows that you are the thing that keeps not just the the two of you, but also the house in running condition. You keep track of the things the need fixing. You make sure that there is open communication between the two you. You make sure that his schedules are compatible with what everyone else has going on. You make sure that guest feel welcomed. And you make sure that the kids are happy and alive.
He love to put emphasis on your wedding rings whenever he can. It's now the only ring he wears on that hand, he's fidgeting with your ring wherever he's bored and you're around. Like logically he knows that nothing really changed since you signed the papers, but also everything has changed. All his feelings towards you has increased like 400%, even though he didn't think it was possible.

Tumblr media
One.
One year of sobriety. That’s how long Haruchiyo Sanzu has been sober from all drug paraphernalia and they’re also the words that were indented on this little silver chip in his hand. Scarred skin stretches as he smiles looking down at it, how can something be so little yet so important? Claps and words of congratulations and encouragement fill his ears, everyone is proud of him and he’s proud of himself too but all he can think about is you and how proud you probably are of him. Haruchiyo didn’t know it had been a year until he got here but you knew this morning, he didn’t know what you were so smiley about trying to hide it but now he does.
Haruchiyo looks up from the coin and at the group of people standing in front of him smiling. He remembers how much he hated these people when he first got here but pretended like he didn’t make you happy. “So what are you going to do now?” The leader of the group says putting a hand on the pinkette’s shoulder once he stands. He shrugs and his smile gets bigger at his first thought “See my
wife.” A gasp comes from one of the older women there.
“You proposed!?” He makes an awkward laugh as he ruffles his hair. “Not yet…” Haruchiyo had been thinking about the proposal for a long time, but he never really knew what to do. At first, he thought about buying a diamond ring in your favorite color and proposing in the living room but everyone, and I mean everyone, told him that was quite literally one of the worst ways to do it so he didn’t. He didn’t know there were special rules to this but he had to do something that you’d like which is easy but how is he supposed to ask you about the ring if you don't know he’s going to propose? It confused him a lot but it was no problem for him, he had all the money to get whatever ring you wanted in the world. If you wanted him to propose in a new mansion just for you with a 24-karat gold ring, he’d do it but he didn’t know if that was what you wanted. The ring that is, he’s considering the mansion.
Haruchiyo soon found himself in his car driving down the street but not to the apartment you both shared, to bonten hideout. He had a day off, he didn’t need to be there but he needed to talk to the people there. Haruchiyo had never gotten this close to marrying someone so he needed help, Kakucho and Koko were probably the best to ask about this, Kakucho is a sweetheart and a lover boy, and Koko…well he just knows about rings and what girls want. Honestly, Haruchiyo would take any advice with this, he just doesn’t want to fuck this up. You’re the best thing in his life and he doesn’t want this proposal to be wrong. His way of doing it is not enough, the way he thinks you’d like is probably too much. If it were up to him to plan it with you and what you want in mind, he’d already plan the wedding.
“What’s up team, how’s your paperwork?” Haruchiyo said sarcastically, throwing open the doors immediately, getting goose flesh from the temperature here. Everyone looked at him annoyedly, clearly liking it better when he was not here and his annoying sarcastic “It’s your day off, why are you here?” Koko asked combing the ends of his hair out while the Haitanis and Kakucho played cards, everyone else was nowhere to be seen. “Why were you even gone?” Rindou asked briefly looking up from his cards and the pink-haired man grabbed the coin from his pocket and tossed it to Rindou.
The mullet-haired man observed the coin before blinking back up to meet the green eyes, he didn’t have a care in the world. “It’s not real.” Haruchiyo rolled his eyes and scowled “Yeah, no shit but that’s not the point. I’m one year sober.” He said with a sigh, he never thought he would say anything like that.
There was once a time in Haruchiyo’s life when he’d rather die than get sober even for a week and everyone was proud of him even a little bit, of course didn’t show it but still. It was a special moment and he took a day off for it. “What did you come here for again?” Rindou was extremely annoyed at Haruchiyo’s presence as he leaned on the crates everyone sat on. “Well I was thinking of proposing but…I don’t know how she wants me to do it.” The scarred-faced man said, shrugging his shoulders.
“I don’t know if I should be surprised that you’re gonna propose or that you’re not doing it in a garage,” Koko said, still not looking up from his hair. He’s annoyed at the split ends. They weren’t on the best terms right now because Koko was still annoyed about Haruchiyo treating you so badly all of these years. After all, surprisingly, Koko actually likes you. I mean you’re a sweetheart and sometimes bring coffee or food to the hideout when Haruchiyo brings you, what’s not to like? Usually, none of them would care if any guy from here treated a girl badly, not enough to step in or be angry at them but you were different. Everyone liked you to some degree, you weren’t some whore that just let that pinkette slaps you around and treat you like shit; you did stick around after everything he did but you yell at him, you push him away, you leave for days. Most girls haruchiyo have been with let him do whatever the fuck he wants.
Bonten likes that you’re a sweetheart but also doesn’t let anyone run you the fuck over. But mainly they want to see Haruchiyo get yelled at. It’s like a movie for them to see you slapping him and cursing at him.
Haruchiyo rolls his eyes at Koko’s comment before turning to look at Kakucho and the brothers, completely ignoring the other man. “Well, I need you guys to ask her about what she wants for a proposal when she comes here next time.” He says as Rindou throws all the cards on the ground for losing against Kakucho and his brother. While Ran is busy being shouted at for cheating by Rindou, Kakucho decides to answer Haruchiyo.
“Sure, I’m glad you’re finally tying the knot.” The black-haired male said, giving him a nod of approval and making the older man smile. “Wait, does that mean no more trailer trash fights at the club? Aw.” Ran asks to be held by his collar by Rindou who still hasn’t let up with the yelling. Haruchiyo sighs and hops down, he gives the eldest haitani the finger before leaving the way he came in. Ran was annoying but Haruchiyo was grateful that he and Kakucho had agreed to help him, he really wanted to make this as special as possible and make it to suit your specific tastes but he really needed this to be a secret. It’s gonna be as special as possible!
Tumblr media
You giggle as Haruchiyo pulls you as close as possible to him while drowning you in kisses, you two hadn’t even lasted a second out of the car before he got clingy. It was so weird but for some reason, your boyfriend had been really clingy; he never wanted to let you go and he always wanted to kiss you. He started staying home from work a lot just to be with you. At first, you began to think that he had done something wrong but he denied it and just wanted to always be around you.
“Come on, stop it! Mikey’s gonna stop me from coming again.” You muttered, pushing him away from you and beginning to walk toward the entrance of the hideout but the green-eyed man couldn’t care less and wrapped his arms around your shoulders. “We both know that wasn’t from us hugging.” He whispered into your ear as the two of you walked in, almost everyone was present but only three actually cared about the new people in the room.
“Yeah, we did a lot more than hug.” You muttered walking toward the Haitanis and Kakucho assuming Haruchiyo would follow but he didn’t “Alright, I gotta go talk to Mikey. I’ll be right back, baby.” You didn’t even get a word out before he kissed your cheek and zoomed off to Mikey’s office. Ugh, he had been acting so strange recently but I guess it’s expected with how many days he had taken off nowadays.
A whistle caught your attention and you turned to see Ran gesturing you over to the table he, his brother, and Kakucho had been just talking. Koko sat not at the table but just a bit near counting money as always. “What’s up?” You asked to sit at the table and Ran, as always, smiled evilly. “Nothing just had a question.” Kakucho interrupts before Ran can say something that is too mean, it’s a habit for him.
“Has the psycho proposed to you yet? I mean it’s been…what? Four years since you two started to date?” Rindou asked with the same stupid smile his brother wears and you freeze. What? You had never even thought of these people asking you about marriage between you and haruchiyo! Normally they yell about how they want the worst for him and how they hate him so fucking much; your boyfriend is not very well-liked around here. It seems more like they’re making fun of you more than actually caring about it.
“Uh no, I mean, we haven’t talked about it or anything…” Koko raises an eyebrow at your words and turns to look at you. “So that idiot doesn’t even have an idea of the setting you want for it? Or your ring? Pfft.” Koko said, nearly folding over and laughing at you. You did not like this at all. It felt like you were being put on the spot.
Rolling your eyes, you huffed. “No, like I said, we haven’t talked about it. I don’t even think he’d know what ring I’m talking about anyway.” You said folding your arms across your chest and Ran hummed. “What ring is it?” He asked and you paused. There have been dozens of rings you’d come across over the years that you loved but there was one that you just adored.
“Pure diamond, (f/c) and (shape). I don’t care what brand I just want it to look like that.” You said and Koko took note of this. They got the ring out of you now they need the actual proposal setting. “Boring. You don’t want something like a Darry ring or Brilliance?” Koko asked, pretending to yawn knowing he pisses you off when he does shit like this. In his mind, and quite literally everyone else in this room, the angrier they make you, the less likely you are to figure out why they even care about this.
You shake your head “No, I want that. And I doubt any other girl will get as close to marrying him as me.” That everyone could agree and not necessarily because you were the shit or anything, just because it’s Haruchiyo and no one can stand his bullshit but you. “Well, you can’t have a pretty ring and get proposed in a garage because that’s as classy as you’re getting. The both of you are trailer trash.” Rindou muttered, ignoring that everyone in this room, except Koko, was practically trailer trash when they were younger. You found that ridiculous; if Haruchiyo ever proposed to you, you wouldn’t want it to be in some expensive ass restaurant thousands of feet in the air, something small but sweet.
“I don’t want anything expensive or shit like that. I don’t really care what it is, I just want it to be something that makes it seem like he listens to me y’know? I mean, you probably don’t because none of you have girlfriends.” You said changing your tone halfway remembering who you were talking to. Rindou held a hand up with a raised eyebrow “Woah, I do.” He said and immediately everyone in the room burst into laughter completely forgetting about the talk beforehand. Kakucho hadn’t forgotten though, he was just taking mental notes to tell his pink-haired co-worker about what you had said.
Kakucho is a man of few words but he was already thinking about the words he’d say at the wedding reception. He didn’t show it but he really liked the idea of the two of you getting married. Out of all the years he’s known the Sanzu man, you were the first good thing in his life and he really wanted it to last for Haruchiyo. Kakucho didn’t care much for him but he could admit that his life had been a whole lot worse from before you came into it. Although Haruchiyo had suffered from his addictions throughout the relationship with you, it was the first time he had at least made an effort to get clean, and felt bad when it failed. Kakucho has actually started liking Haruchiyo more nowadays because of your effect. He really liked that and was glad the effect was going to be permanent soon enough.
A few weeks passed and not another word about the proposal was spoken, well to you at least, but Haruchiyo’s clinginess never relaxes until one afternoon. “Babe, I got you something!” He yells bursting into the apartment as you sit in the living room watching foreign shows still in your pajamas (his shirt and panties). You look up at him in your sleepy mess as he rummages through the bag he got before he lifts a dress in the air, it’s not too fancy but not too casual and just your style. “What’s this for?” You question standing and grabbing the dress which just feels expensive under your fingertips.
He grins widely at you and shoves it into your arm “No time to explain sweets. Just get dressed and get as pretty as you want.” Haruchiyo says kissing your cheek before opening the door and leaving out of it as fast as he came in. You stand there confused until the door opens again “Don’t wear heels.” He says again and leaves, once more. This was not strange for your lover, he likes to surprise you but isn’t really good at hiding his excitement but he tries his best by not seeing you much. You would think that you two are going to a club but it’s too early and no heels? An idea of what you two were doing didn’t even pop into your head, he’s random and could do anything right now.
But regardless, you get dressed, do your hair and makeup, and wait for him on the couch and he returns looking just as fancy as you do. Not as fancy, just a casual button-up and slacks, his hair is slicked back with some pomade making you smile, he looks so good. “Aw, you look so good, baby.” You said standing and cupping his cheeks, you kissed his cheeks leaving glossy stains which made him smile childishly. “You look better but we gotta hurry!” Haruchiyo said loudly before dragging you out of the apartment.
You wondered why he’s acting like this, or at least where you two were going because he always acts like this for dates. He’s either in a hurry or can’t let you see his excitement so he’s not around when planning a date especially if it’s a surprise. Of course, a proposal crossed your mind with the Bonten members prodding at you a few weeks ago but it quickly left, you didn’t think Haruchiyo would be planning a proposal at the last minute and he knows his date habits. He most likely would’ve tried to stop doing that and act normal so it couldn’t possibly be that. Where was he taking you this time?
Well you two were not taking a limo, he’s driving the Jeep so you weren’t going anywhere he could get drunk. Haruchiyo was sober from drugs but not alcohol yet, alcohol might’ve been one of the main things that helped him maintain that feeling when he was stressed or at the club. “Where are we going Haru?” You asked as he started the car while he slicked back a stray hair. “A picnic. I remember you saying something about a good spot for a picnic, so I thought that we could do that. Y’know Mikey told me I had a day off and I want to spend it with you.” He said, shrugging his shoulders making you smile at him, he’s such a sweetie.
The whole ride, you talked his ear off not really noticing how he was on the bridge of shitting himself. He was so nervous, I mean what if you said no because of everything he’s done in the past? He wouldn’t blame you but he’d be hurt, he worked so hard to become better for you and he wanted it to last forever. If you said no, he’d fucking lose his mind.
A gasp left your throat when you saw where you two had parked. “Aw, you remembered!” You shouted, staring at the cherry blossom tree on a hill. You two lived in the city so finding especially this big and beautiful was rare. Of course, he remembered, Haruchiyo remembers almost everything you tell him; he just sometimes doesn’t do much with it. “Yeah, I thought it’d be cute for our picnic. Can you take the blanket? I don’t want stains on your dress.” The male asked, opening his car door and you agreed, grabbing the thin plaid blanket, you left the car.
Once you climbed the hill, you laid the blanket out evenly and sat on it waiting for your boyfriend to come up the hill and once he did he had a handful. His hands were full of the picnic basket and other things that couldn’t fit in there that you loved. “Why didn’t you ask for help?” You ask as he sets them down before collapsing on the blanket breathing heavily. “You shouldn’t have to carry anything.” He said completely out of breath making you giggle.
The two of you started your picnic and started to eat but Haruchiyo couldn’t get the idea of you in a wedding dress out of his head. The weight of that perfect ring for you in his pocket was burdening and he wouldn’t be surprised if it fell out because it burned a hole through his slacks. He was trying so hard to not make it obvious that he was proposing but he felt like he had already failed at that. Before he could even sigh, something hit him hard in the forehead.
“What the fuck!” He said holding his head that probably had a bruise on it, he looked to see what it was and it was an apple. An apple that fell from a fucking cherry blossom tree, yeah right. You stood up and looked at the tree for any sign of an apple or a stem. “Where did that come from?” As you talked, Haruchiyo spotted Ran hiding behind a car with his phone gesturing for him to do it. For him to propose. Fuck. Here goes.
Haruchiyo maneuvered himself on one knee and pulled the ring case out of his pocket with a deep breath and a clear of his throat, you looked at him and your eyes widened. The wind blew and cherry blossom leaves fell from above the two of you “[Y/n] [L/n].” His voice was incredibly shaky as he saw tears burn in your eyes.
“We’ve been together for what feels like forever and during that time, you’ve made me a better person than I ever thought I could be. I want that to last, I want us to last.” His entire body was shaking about now, the sun was shining in his eyes and the only thing he could see was you standing there with your hands covering your mouth and the sun shining on you so beautifully. He loved this sight. “Will you marry me?” Haruchiyo was barely able to let out a breath before you jumped on him with a squeal. The two of you rolled down the hill as you snuggled yourself closer to him while attacking his lips with many kisses.
“Yes! Of course, I will.” You said loudly once you two came to a stop at the bottom of the hill. Haruchiyo smiled and looked at his hand that he had closed in a death grip. He took the ring from its cage grabbed your hand with the gentleness of an angel and slipped it onto your ring finger. Where it belonged.
“Fucking finally, we’ve been waiting here for thirty damn minutes,” Koko said coming out of nowhere and making you jump. Soon half of bonten came from their hiding spots, confusing you completely. “He means congratulations,” Kakucho says smiling at you, he bows his head slightly in respect but nobody else does. Rindou and Ran smiled. “Yeah, we can’t wait to plan the wedding,” Rindou muttered.
Koko frowned “Excuse me? That’s my job.” You sat up straddling Haruchiyo who was staring completely at where the two of your bodies met intensely. He needed this to speed up “Uh you haven’t even said congrats yet?” He rolls his eyes and sighs.
“Mazel Tov.”
“He’s not even fucking Jewish.”
“Well, I just converted so suck my dick.”
Haruchiyo sighed as he sat up holding onto your hips so you wouldn’t fall “Thank you but we have a reservation to make so fucking leave.” He said standing up with you in his arms, your legs wrapped around his waist as you giggled girlishly. “What about your mess?” Rindou asked meanly and before Haruchiyo could demand anything, you spoke. “Please clean it for us, I can’t wait any longer to talk with Haru.” You said in the sweetest voice you could manage as Haruchiyo carried you to the car. Rindou glared at you but he sighed giving you a yes, he could say no to every single person but when it came to a girl that wasn’t a spiteful bitch or a greedy drug addict, he couldn’t even form an N.
You thanked him and the rest of them as Haruchiyo put you in the car and waved to them all as if you had already gotten married. The sun started to set on the drive to the restaurant and all you did was stare at the ring on your hand, it was beautiful and you felt like you were going to cry again “Oh baby don’t cry.” Haruchiyo said, looking away from the road and you wiped your eyes while sniffling. “I’m just so happy. I knew you were acting weird.” You said laughing and pointing at your now fiance who couldn’t help but cheese at your words. You were so happy, you just couldn’t contain it.
“I know, I wanted to make it special without making it too obvious but I guess it was anyway,” Haruchiyo said, rolling his eyes and you swooned before leaning over and giving him a wet kiss. The man had to force you away so he could focus on not crashing but now he had a tent in his pants to deal with and there’s an entire dinner ahead of him. “It’s already special!” You shouted all giggly with a smile. Your lipgloss was stained on Haruchiyo’s lips and all over it and it made him go wild when he saw it in the rearview mirror.
Shit, he shouldn’t have taken you to your favorite restaurant; he wasn’t going to last more than fifteen minutes here.
Thirty minutes into the dinner, Haruchiyo was absolutely devouring his food in hopes that the taste would distract him from how badly he wanted you. “I should’ve known you were going to do this.” Laughter followed your words as you smiled at the pink-haired man adoring him, you had barely touched your food but you weren’t exactly hungry for that. “Because of the Haitanis asking about the ring?” He asked looking up at you through his long eyelashes making you nearly explode out of adoration.
“Yeah but also, your one year was recently. You were really happy to bring me home that chip, all you did was thank me.” You said, reaching forward and pressing back the stray hairs of Haruchiyo’s. “Can you blame me? You’re the entire reason I made it this far, that chip made me realize how badly I wanted to marry you.” He muttered, grabbing hold of your hand and staring at the ring. It was pretty pricey but nothing is too expensive for Haruchiyo especially when it comes to you.
“I know I fucked up a lot of times but you made me want to be better to you and for you. I can’t imagine being better without you.” He was so sweet. You didn’t know if you were gonna cry because of his words or because of how badly you wanted to jump on him and kiss him.
Haruchiyo blinked back at you as you did with him, he was barely able to blink again before you grabbed him by his collar and kissed him above the table. It was rough, messy, and full of love but it wasn’t enough for you so when you detached you still held him in place breathing heavily. “Let’s go to the bathroom.” You muttered to him and Haruchiyo looked at you with wide eyes and said something he never thought he’d say.
“Not today. I want it to be special for you, I have everything waiting at home…even though Kakucho set it up.” The last part was a whisper as Haruchiyo and you both sat down in your seats once more. It was weird, usually, Haruchiyo is the desperate one who always wants to have a quickie in the bathroom but now it’s you. “Then let’s leave now, I can’t wait. I just love you too much Haru.” It sounded like you were going to cry if you didn’t leave right now.
You weren’t going to last a second once you two got in that car, Haruchiyo knew it. Those candles and petals trailing to the bed were going to have to wait for round two. Hey, at least you’re not focusing on why all the servers look fucking terrified of him and why the owner isn’t here like usual.
The car moved non-stop as you bounced up and down pathetically on Haruchiyo’s cock as he sat in the reclined driver’s seat groaning with his head thrown back. “Haru! Fuck!” Your grip on his hair tightened making him wince slightly and then a grin stretched across his lipgloss-covered lips. His fingers dug into the side of your thighs which will definitely leave bruises for him to apologize about later.
It was hot and sweaty which is one of the main reasons why Haruchiyo hates car sex. The AC hasn’t been working lately but it was your night so whatever you wanted, of course, he was going to give it to you. “You look so damn pretty. Ngh.” You pulled at his long pink locks harder while groaning. “Fuck you for making this about me.” You moaned through your hasty breaths as you bounced up and down on his lengthy cock. You were making so many shameless noises from both lips, it was whorish really how anyone could walk by and hear you slutting yourself out on your boyfriend–fiance’s dick.
Haruchiyo blinked at you as your hair stuck to your sweaty forehead while you moaned loudly riding him like there was no tomorrow, you confused him. “Baby–fuck…you’re my wife now, of course, it’s about you.” A slap was delivered to his soft cheek making it red in no time. It was hard for you to express yourself as he split your cunt open “No…I’m really proud of you. You did it.” There were very few words that you could barely form with all the saliva in your mouth and how you were moaning but it was clear what you meant. Haruchiyo had finally gotten better, and it was working you up.
Tears started to form in your eyes both from the pleasure and how proud you were of Haruchiyo. “You helped me do it, you’re my light. I fucking love you.” Haruchiyo says bringing his hand to the scruff of your neck and bringing you down to kiss you sloppily as you brought yourself and the man closer to your climaxes with his tip hitting that one gushy spot. You practically screamed into his mouth as he came inside you with a squeeze of the back of your neck.
Your legs shook on top of his bare ones as your climax quickly followed him like a rush whilst the two of you made out hungrily. As you slowed down, the squelches of every juice you had made echoed throughout the car along with the hard breathing from the two of you.
Haruchiyo grabbed your hair and pulled you away from him with an evil smile on his face “Think you’re hot shit for slapping me around like that?” He asked and when you didn’t respond, he pulled harder. Whines left your wet lips as your back arched “No..” Haruchiyo’s grin grew wider at your answer. His lips grew close to your ear to whisper as if he needed to do that.
“Aw really? I wish you enjoyed yourself because I’m gonna be a lot fucking meaner when we get home.” He promised you would make a chill run up your spine but you felt yourself getting wetter at the thought of your love slapping you around on a bed surrounded by candles and roses, he noticed that.

Can I have some insane FIREy money saving tips pls?
I am so sorry but it is a common misconception of FIRE to think that it's about saving (and especially about ridiculous degrees of purtianical cost-cutting and self-denial). The reason that Mr Money Mustache was able to retire at 30 was because he was making early 2000's tech industry money that he could live on so easily he put fully 50% of his income into a retirement account. He did spend a lot less than his professional peers by not leasing ridiculously expensive cars, living in a modestly sized home in a cheap and walkable area, and not engaging in the rampant lifestyle inflation that is typical for that industry, but half of his advice (like "dont buy professional cleaning products, just use vinegar" and "don't get health insurance just be active") either wouldn't amount to a drop in the bucket for the average person, or isn't feasible unless you're super privileged and lucky.
now all that SAID, there are useful lessons to be gleaned from the r/leanfire world that apply to more people's situations. The biggest determinants of a person's ability to save are their housing and transportation; the most effective ways to cut one's expenses are to move to a far cheaper area (or into a cheaper housing situation, such as with roommates or van life or something), and to stop driving and instead use a bike or public transit. that CAN make a huge difference of anywhere from hundreds to thousands of dollars a month. anything else you can do to reduce spending on beyond that is less substantial and less controllable, but there are things one can do -- things you have probably thought of, like ending subscription payments (just pirate all your media), cooking at home, and not throwing money away on expenses that are hefty but highly socially normalized (if you're in a subculture where it is common to fly across the country for lots of friends' weddings and spend lots of money on their gifts, for example, eschewing that).
The majority of people interested in FIRE here on this blog? are people who need a lot more time to themselves and a whole lot more flexibility because they are disabled, and they're not making a ton of money. they're probably also not wasting a ton of money either -- bc they're broke. of course i could recommend things that are probably obvious like buying used phones instead of leasing them from cell phone providers, pirating media instead of paying for it, going to the gym at the park district building instead of a fancy private one -- but i think most people already know all of that and are doing their damndest.
the other side of the equation of course is to boost income -- doing freelancing or switching industries or things like that. but it's something i am also hesitant to recommend bc i dont want people burning out like i did, and it's not feasible for most of us.
personally i think the most useful part of the FIRE movement for the majority of us is advice about how to invest effectively, how to avoid getting screwed, and an affirmation that living very cheaply and independently of an employer IS possible. but it gets harder the more reliant you are upon a car, the more expensive the city is that you're living in, and if you have kids. hell, MMM even tells people that getting pets is a waste. that's just the kind of autism he has.
Again, r/leanfire is the best for practical tips and tools that will actually fit your life if youre like most of us here on this blog -- but if this is a topic you already think about a fair amount you're probably doing most of what you can already, and maybe even worrying about small expenses far too much. the whole point of FIREing is so you arent miserable. so like, dont cut out expenses that make your life more bearable. this isnt (or shouldnt be) some advocado toast shaming kinda stuff you know what i mean.

⋆୨୧˚Bill Dickey Marriage Headcanons⋆୨୧˚
Hi! :3 so nobody asked for this LOL but I've been so hyper fixated on the Eltingville Club that I NEED to write out some of the ideas flooding my mind. So...I hope you guys enjoy! if not feel free to replace my hands with pig feet :3.
⋆ ˚。⋆୨୧˚ ˚୨୧⋆。˚ ⋆⋆ ˚。⋆୨୧˚ ˚୨୧⋆。˚ ⋆⋆ ˚。⋆୨୧˚ ˚୨୧⋆。˚ ⋆⋆ ˚。⋆୨୧˚ ˚୨୧⋆。˚ ⋆
Marriage was a topic that you and bill constantly argued about and had screaming matches over. It almost led to breaking up a few times, but because the man is aware no other woman wants him, he reluctantly agreed. (It was that or he died alone and got no action....except from his right hand)
"For fuck's sake, fine!, If it'll finally shut your annoying ass up! we'll do the whole white wedding shit—the church bells will be ringing so loud the whole fucken town will know your dumb ass is getting married!"
He either bought you the cheapest ring he could find or straight up just stole it (Depends on if he had any money left from conning people or if he used it to buy more comics)
proposed to you in his mom's basement the day after you guys argued to "get it over with". No romantic date, no kneeling, he just handed you the box and said begrudgingly "will you...marry me?" It turned into a heated argument which lead to you demanding he do it properly. Though of course he threw a fit. "Who do you think you are bitch?! Demanding shit from me! why do I gotta act like every other pussy whipped loser and bend to your will like some pansy! I'd rather die!"
He ended up redoing the proposal a few days later. While out on a date (that you set up and paid for) he did the whole nine yards and asked you to marry him. The whole time he had a scowl on his face (But you didn't care and eagerly said yes)
He didn't lift a finger to help plan for the wedding. In his own words "it wasn't my idea in the first place!, so stop expectin' me to do shit!"
He also refused to pay for anything (was really just a cover up because he doesn't have any money to begin with...the last of it was either spent on the ring or buying more collectibles)
Any attempt to ask for his opinion during wedding planning was met with a dismissive grunt or a mumbled, "Its whatever the hell you want"
When he did have something to say though it was demanding things like one of the cake toppers be a custom mold of him as superman sweeping you off your feet (literally this shit just replace the head with his) or that he get a carefully tailored suit inspired by bruce Wayne (you began to wonder wether you were the bride or he was)
He complained about having to clean himself up and shave. Whining about how dumb it is to put in this much effort for one day. Admittedly he found himself looking quite dashing when he finally got himself put together (you caught bill checking himself out in the mirror)
Tried to convince you to wear a super skimpy dress he saw in one of his Avengers comics. Raved about how hot you'd look. (you obviously said no)
Not many people approved of your marriage to Bill (understandably) so aside from a handful of close friends and relatives, only Bill's mom showed up from his side. Jane didn't come for obvious reasons....
𐙚Fluff 𐙚
He didn't want to look like a simp so he tried to act nonchalant and aloof while he waited for you at the alter. But the moment he saw you walking down the aisle he crumbled. The way his face turned a bright and his jaw dropped was priceless.
His wedding vows were a just a variation of the green lantern oath "In brightest day, in blackest night, Our love shall burn bright. Let those who'd rather show us spite, Beware our love, this union's might!" (it was stupid, but the way he said it with such conviction made your heart melt. This was probably the most effort you've seen from him anyways)
When it was time for you to say your very heartfelt vows, Bill visibly softened (no matter how hard he tried to hide it) he looked away nervously during most of it while fidgeting with his suit cuffs. But as you finished up and he caught your loving gaze it was if time stopped. For the first time he felt something other than anger and you could see it. Love?—he'd never admit it, but you knew)
Once it was time for Bill to kiss you, he leaned in slightly and awkwardly, while sort of waiting for you to come to him. (He wasn't too big into the PDA thing, let alone this). You on the other hand pounced on top of him, pulling him into a passionate kiss. Almost knocking him down to the floor (He was about to yell at you in front of everyone for it, but before he knew it he was melting into your kiss)
During the reception he didn't really mingle with people like you did. Opting to stuff his face with food and drinks, while he kept an arm wrapped tightly around your waist making sure you stayed close.
Bill fed you forkfuls of food from his plate when he realized you weren't eating with him since you were too busy talking to people "Are you gonna eat or what? I don't want to have to hear you bitchin later because you didn't eat" Despite his harsh words, he gently held a hand under the fork as he fed you to ensure nothing got on your dress (this had you swooning like a schoolgirl)
Bill had no sense of direction when it came to your guys first dance. It was apparent (if you hadn't already known) he had never danced a day in his life. He constantly was stepping on your dress and almost fell over you. He looked like he was about to crash out, before you gently coaxed him into relaxing and following your steps. All the while you stared lovingly into his dark brown eyes. (He would complain after about how dumb you made him look, but the tone in his voice lacked any of it's usual edge)
He had to hold back smashing your face into the wedding cake (He knew you wouldn't give it up later in bed if he did) at the same time though, he couldn't bring himself to actually do that. You looked too beautiful. So instead he opted for playfully dabbing frosting on your nose. He blushed when your face scrunched up into a giggly grin when you fed each other the first slice.
In most of your wedding pictures Bill has his usual RBF on. Except for the one's where you're kissing him, whether it be on the lips or the cheek, he has a big smirk on his face. Your favorite one (which is currently hanging in your home's living room) is one where Bill is covered in your lipstick kisses and has a big toothy smile on his face, while you hug him tightly from the side. (this was one of the rare moments you actually saw bill smile. You treasured it forever)
Throughout the duration of the reception Bill got quite drunk, which caused him to be more openly love dovey. He was all over you, touching you wherever he could and kissing you almost feverishly (you certainly didn't mind it but you were still in the company of friends and family) but any half hearted attempts to get him to stop, fell on deaf ears. "What? a man can't show his appreciation to his wife?...don't forget who's last name you have~"
Started calling you cringey pet names like "My beautiful elven bride..." "My goddess..." he even started quoting movies at some point, some of which you could make out were from Star Trek. But his speech became so slurred you couldn't make it out anymore. (you ate up his antics though hehe <3)
Part of the reason he gave in to getting married was also because the idea of you being Mrs. Dickey sparked something in him. The fact that having that title alone meant no other man could touch you, let alone approach you, it made him feel protective over you. you belonged to him and him alone.
Even though he'll never say it out loud, getting married wasn't as horrible as he made it out to be. Especially since it was to you...

I have been thinking about @bengiyo's point about the way the set up of Love Sea allows Fort and Peat to play with their established dynamic, and wanted to expand on why I liked it so much. I already tossed off a facetious post about this while watching the other day, but let me be clear: I am so serious about the class disparity in this show and how it shifts the power dynamics behind the typical MAME pursuer behavior.
Mahasamut is a working class man who has been hired by a mutual friend to watch over Tongrak--providing him with transportation, housing, entertainment, and whatever else Rak wants. He is doing a job, and that knowledge is explicit between them. Most people would be kind to someone who is providing a service as a guide and caretaker, but from the moment he arrives, Rak treats Mut with disdain, as Ben details in his post. Rak is a prick who looks down on the place he is staying and the people in it. He assumes Mut can't understand him and makes rude and disrespectful comments right in front of his face. He assumes he can get anything he wants from Mut by throwing piddling sums of money at him. He assumes he can use Mut for sex. And so Mut plays the part Rak has assigned him.
Every instance of Mut being sarcastic or antagonistic toward Rak in this first episode is a direct response to how Rak is treating him. Rak assumes he can't communicate with him, so Mut continues speaking in a Southern dialect. Rak assumes he can buy him, so Mut teases him about stuff he can pay him for. Rak assumes Mut wants to have sex with him and he can use that to control him, so Mut fully puts on a "dumb local" performance and pretends to be amazed at his pale and hairless body (and yes, he also invokes colorism in that act, which I do not think was at all accidental, it's part of the point). Every moment of this is informed by their class disparity, the way Rak looks down on him for it, and the way Mut refuses to bow to that.
As all of this is going on, Mut is also genuinely taking care of Rak and doing the job he has been paid to do. And the incident on the boat was not an intentional instance of messing with Rak--he just went to get some clams and had no way to know that Rak would panic like that. As soon as he saw Rak was genuinely upset, he dropped the antagonism and comforted him, even apologizing for scaring him. Mut has good intentions and is doing what he has been asked to do while also not allowing an arrogant rich man to treat him like dirt. Rak is the person holding the true power in this pairing, and he need only treat Mut like a human being to get the same in return.
Let me just add as a final note that this is not the first time MAME has added a new layer to this antagonistic pursuer dynamic she tends to prefer in her romances. Wedding Plan was all about taking that dynamic and motivating it by a genuine queer experience, and I am glad to see her stories continuing to evolve.

for ringtober i think it would be so funny to see the obey me brothers reacting to reader losing her ring lol i just know some of them *cough* Mammon and Asmo *cough* would be sooo dramatic
Ringtober Masterlist
Notes: I actually thought this was such a fun idea and had too many thoughts abt it so had to do hcs lol
Warnings: n/a just fluff
Characters involved: Lucifer, Mammon. Leviathan, Satan, Asmodeus, Beelzebub, Belphegor
Gender-neutral reader, you/yours
Lucifer
Highkey mad.
He cannot believe his fiance could be so irresponsible, and will state as much. His reaction and words will probably hurt, and he doesn't realise that until later.
Lucifer is out doing yet another task with Diavolo when the demon prince casually mentions how he saw you looking all over the place for your ring and you seemed quite sad.
You somehow convince Mammon to help you out since he's literally the best at finding shining things (and keeping them to himself, but he's too scared of Lucifer to steal your ring), and Solomon since he seems to have a solution for everything.
At the end of the day when it's dinner time and you're still not back at RAD trying to find your ring, Lucifer can't help but go find you.
He embraces you and says he was wrong to chastise you so harshly, your determination to find the ring showcases you weren't being irresponsible but it was just a small accident.
Lucifer isn't a very openly affectionate demon which is why he was hurt that you lost a symbol of his rare affection.
When the two of you return to HOL you're happy to discover Solomon waiting at the gate for you.
Apparently, Cerberus had been sitting on your ring the entire time. It must have slipped off when you were petting him and fell onto his dog bed.
Lucifer finds the entire ordeal sort of amusing, and you can't help but giggle too as you promise to pocket your ring before you pet Cerberus, or any other animal for that matter.
Lucifer secretly makes a duplicate of both of your rings the next day, he can't believe he didn't think of doing that before. He also thinks it would be cute to pass down the duplicates to your children.
Mammon
Is actually a little offended.
That was the first piece of jewellery Mammon acquired without stealing it. He even worked extra hard for his modelling agency to save up white money for you.
He never wanted anyone to ever be able to tell you your engagement (and wedding) ring was bought unfaithfully.
So, after putting in so much effort Mammon couldn't help but feel at least a little offended you just lost the ring.
To make matters worse you lost it because Asmo took you to get manicures and the lady over there misplaced it.
"For all we know it could be stolen by now!"
Mammon lets out a big annoyed huff and decides to give you the silent treatment for the rest of the day.
This doesn't last long and he ends up going to your room to find you, he feels sad seeing you look so dejected and decides to sort of apologise.
"Look what's done is done no point gettin' all sad bout it."
He feels worse because you seem genuinely sorry and apologise a lot.
Things end well because Asmo shows up at your room a little later with the ring in his hand. He says the receptionist found it with your wallet, which you also happened to forget there.
Leviathan
You did what?! That's it you don't love him. This whole thing was a lie, you clearly don't care about Levi or his love for you, you-
He will literally break off into the longest ramble ever and you're too scared to cut him off and make matters worse.
Levi locks himself up in his room and refuses to come out or talk to anyone. It gets so serious all the brothers are involved and you're all figuring out different ways to find your ring.
Lucifer eventually casts a spell and figures out your ring is in...Levi's room?
You storm to his door and tell him if he doesn't open it right now you won't have to find the ring because there won't be a wedding (a blatant lie, of course).
He opens it, you talk, and that's when Levi remembers he actually took your ring from you last night because he wanted to click pictures.
The ring was a custom design made to subtly match the design of the first game you played together, so obviously when Levi got a new installment of the game featuring the tiara your design was inspired by he just had to get a picture of the two together.
You were asleep on your gaming chair and he didn't want to wake you up so he just slipped it off your hand, but then forgot to give it back and just kept it in his drawer beside the game.
Mammon and Asmo couldn't help but laugh at how stupid this entire ordeal was, the rest of the brothers follow suit and then leave the two of you alone.
Now Levi's sheepish and the one apologising except he's just going on another ramble of how you probably hate him and won't talk to him but he deserves it.
Literally won't shut up until you cuddle him and tell him it's alright.
Satan
Locates it with a spell.
But first, Satan finds it so amusing how worried you are that he just has to play along and pretend to be annoyed.
If anything this whole ordeal was his fault because he was the who dragged you out to pet the street cats. In fact Satan almost lost his own ring when one of them was playing with his hand.
He has a small amused smile on his lips as you profusely apologise and insist on dragging him back to the park at midnight to try and find the ring.
Satan lets you ramble all the way there but when you two reach he realises you're getting a little too sad for his liking, so, he tells you to calm down and whips out a handy book of spells he had on him.
Ends up finding it in less than a minute, and that was a good thing too since the kitten playing with it looked like she was going to swallow the ring.
He triumphantly rescues your ring from the kitty, coos and pats her for a bit, and then return to your side with a boyish smile that almost quells your annoyance.
"You could have done this the entire time?!"
Satan lets out a genuine laugh so rare at your question you couldn't help but let your anger slip away as you laughed with him too.
He decides it's a good idea to recreate the moment he proposed to you and kneels down on one knee, slipping the ring on your finger and pulling you in for a kiss.
The moment ends up being a surprisingly romantic one you fondly retell to Asmo, who ends up gossiping about it to anyone with ears willing to listen to his squeels.
Asmodeus
Will never let you forget this.
When I tell you this man screeches.
Has the most girly squeeky yelling voice ever, in fact you actually can't even feel offended because you're too busy trying not to burst out laughing.
He's not even that mad about the ring he's more annoyed that you left him the entire day and were at Diavolo's hanging out with Barbatos and Luke.
"First you forget me then you lose the symbol of my love for you- next you'll be finding a new devilishly handsome demon to marry!"
Gets pouty. VERY pouty. Expects you to not leave his side at all until you find the ring, which is almost impossible since how could you find it if you don't leave his side?
"Well, then you'll just have to spend eternity stuck to me. I can't have you parading around without a symbol of affection, after all."
Thankfully for you Barbatos comes to the rescue, even if it's many hours later.
By the time Barbs shows up at HOL you've already spent an entire day apologising to Asmo and being by his side every second. He almost didn't let you go to the bathroom alone, claiming its nothing he hasn't seen before.
You had spent so many hours sitting on his lap idly combing your fingers through his hair or drawing random shapes on his chest you were certain you would go crazy.
Asmo didn't even let you check your DDD, which was too bad considering Barbatos messaged you about the ring almost as soon as you reached HOL.
When Barbatos drops by HOL during dinner you can't help but hug him excitedly as you thank him for finding the ring. He casually claims it was never lost in the first place, Barbatos simply set it aside after you removed it so you wouldn't get it dirty while baking.
Asmo seems almost sad to see the ring again since he doesn't have an excuse to keep you by his side anymore, but he gets over his poutyness after you suggest having a sleepover.
Safe to say you did a lot more than sleeping that night.
Beelzebub
Is probably the most calm of them all.
He asks you if you accidentally ate the ring, because he's constantly scared he might end up eating his ring.
You're kind of confused and ask him why he isn't offended or something and Beel just says he knows you would never lose it on purpose.
In fact he helps you try to find the ring so the two of you spend the entire day retracing your footsteps and having a lot of snacks.
By the time you make it back to Beel and Belphie's bedroom, which was the first place you went to help Beel wake up Belphie, you've almost forgotten about the ring.
The day just felt like a fun date with Beel and you found yourself feel grateful for having such an understanding and sweet husband-to-be.
You only remember the ring again when Belphie perks up as the two of you enter the room, suddenly reaching for a shiny object on his bedside table.
"Oh there you are, your ring slipped off this morning, I tried giving it to you earlier but I couldn't find you or Beel."
The three of you end up laughing about the situation, Beel gives Belphie some sushi he bought for him (because you cannot convince me Beel isn't that type of sibling who always gets you food when they go out) and you all just end up having a calm night in.
Maybe a movie night with loads of popcorn.
Belphegor
Looks at you with the most 'are you fucking kidding me' expression ever.
You not only chose to wake up the avatar of sloth in the middle of the day you also did it without giving him any of your usual kisses or hugs and paired that with very VERY bad news.
At this point you might as well run for your life.
The way you shake him awake almost startles Belphie but your nervous mannerisms as you just sit beside him quietly makes him wide awake.
He's now staring at you expectantly and you have no choice but to admit your mistake, which leads to a very annoyed Belphie.
"I expected better from my fiance."
Almost as mean as Lucifer if not more. Depends on how sensitive you are to such things.
Unlike Lucifer he doesn't chastise you too much, instead gives you that 'I'm disappointed in you' silence that makes you want to scream in frustration.
You knew you shouldn't have told him, but you were somewhat hoping Belphie somehow had your ring.
You end up apologising and then scramble out of his bed ready to race out of the attic and restart your ring hunt, but are tugged back by a familiar arm loosely wrapping around your waist.
"Where do you think you're going?" "To find the ring, of course." Belphie scoffs, but lets go of you to instead stand up beside you, this obviously confuses you, making him almost regret leaving his peaceful slumber for you.
"You look like you're going to burst into tears any minute. The chances of you seeing, much less finding, anything are little to none."
He sounds pretty guilty as he says it, making you smile softly as Belphie takes your hand and leads you out the room.
He almost immediately goes to Satan and just asks him to do a spell to find the ring. This not only surprises but also annoys you since you could have done that first and Belphie wouldn't even know the ring was gone.
Ends up being in the attic bathroom, you spent last night with Belphie so when you took your morning shower in his bathroom. You must have forgotten to wear your ring after you were done.
You thank Satan profusely then head back up with Belphie.
He beats you to the bathroom and slips the ring back on your finger, raising your hand to drop a tired peck on your knuckles.
"Don't lose it again." His voice is soft and he pulls you in for a quick hug with his chin resting on your head.
It's clear Belphie feels bad for snapping at you, so you two end up dozing off for the rest of the day.

Breaks my heart how evil they are to them. I know they're grown men and can handle it and all but they shouldn't have to! Oliver has been so respectful and put so much care into playing buck. He's always been honest about this story being about BUCK, not tommy, and that nobody should be ringing wedding bells
The fact that even the 911 account isn't posting anything because bt fans flood things with hate... and we know oliver sees this shit, he even shut down his comments and DMs. It makes me so fucking sad. We're so close to exploring this beautiful story we've been waiting for and they ruin it over someone who was hired for 4 episodes??
No same the level of care and respect that Oliver has had has been unreal
I say this as a bisexual
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a presumably straight actor handle a queer storyline with this level of respect and understanding
And unlike their fav he hasn’t done it for fame or money or popularity
He has stood up for buck and buck’s bisexuality in cases he didn’t have to
He didn’t have to correct that reporter he didn’t have to make statements in his Instagram calling out bigots he didn’t have to show all this love understanding and excitement for bucks bi arc but he did it even when it’s put him in the firing line and he’s done it with words so well crafted you can tell he fully understands his character and also what bisexuality means to his character
Ik I make jokes but I’m not saying this in a parasocial way- truth is we never know what these actors or famous people are really like- but we still have to recognise good behaviour and the way he has handled this storyline does not elicit the hate and claims of biphobia against him in the least and it’s honestly sad that he has done everything right and is still receiving this from assholes who genuinely do not care or understand what biphobia is
Just because they can’t distinct what the story has been telling them AT EVERY FUCKING TURN and how Oliver tried over and over not to get their hopes up AT EVERY FUCKING TURN and what they built up in their head sometimes with the help of a man after their money. It’s ridiculous
Like not only did he have to turn off comments and DMs he also made a response apparently and probably second guessed himself and deleted it:
Tumblr media
And everything he said both here and the interview I stand by, good bi rep doesn’t have to be only fucking if they’re your committed partner y’all are over correcting
Also the claims of biphobia - y’all learn nothing about not assuming sexualities or making these claims huh?
Well at least they’re consistent- when threatened they pretend anything and everything is somehow homophobia cos I (a bisexual ) have been called homophobic so many times by bt fans it’s insane
Rant over cos this is super long but they better leave Oliver stark alone cos that man genuinely doesn’t deserve this shite

5000 Follower Celebration: Her Name Was Lola - Mitch Keller x Reader

Tumblr media
You don’t realise Mitch is married. Not until his wife shows up while you’re covering the bar after one of you sets and tells you she’s looking for her husband Mitch Keller.
She’s a tall, red head with curves that would make a Kardashian jealous and wide doe eyes that flutter like Bambi. Her name is Lola and she is indeed a showgirl, one that he got hitched to during wild night in Vegas when he was so fucking high he tried to swim in the fish tank at the Bellagio.
He tells you all of this when he finds you sitting out back on the terrace, smoking a joint and contemplating whether to slash her tires or set fire to his truck.
“You promised me I’d be the only one you’d ever put a ring on.” You remind him as you blow out a stream of smoke from between your lips.
He understands the weight of that promise, how much it had cost you at the time to take that leap of faith with him. You’d been engaged when the two of you met, to a city council man who could provide you with a financial stability you’d never had known during your childhood in that trailer park. With Sean Albernacy, you had money, you had power, and you had security. You were also bored as fuck which is why you’d been warming Mitch’s bed since that night at the rodeo.
“Don’t marry him.” He’d begged you the week before your wedding, his thumb tracing over the apple of your cheek. “Let me be the only man that ever puts a ring on your finger.”
He had barely has two cents to rub together. He can’t offer you anywhere near what Albernacy can but he can offer you love, he can offer you passion, he can offer you a lifetime of fun and freedom because the two of you are cut from the same cloth. Both wild, adventurous, untamed.
“Tell me I’m the only girl you’ll ever marry.” You'd asked as his lips began to wander.
“Oh honey.” He had smiled as he'd guided you back into his lap. “You know you’re the only girl I’d ever let tie me down.”
You don’t turn up to your own wedding, you leave your soon to be husband standing at the alter while Mitch has his wicked way with you in a motel room out in Oklahoma City.
In the present Mitch takes off his cap and runs his hand through his hair as you blow out a smoke ring into the darkness.
“I fucked up.” He says finally as he places his cap back on his head. “I fucked up because I was fucked up and I’ve been trying to fix that. I didn’t expect her to turn up here…”
“Why the fuck did she turn up here?” You ask him, because women like that don’t just suddenly appear because they remember they have a husband. “Why the fuck are you even back on her radar?”
“This isn’t how I wanted to do this.” Mitch says, his voice a little rough as he rubs his palms over each other. It’s an anxious behaviour, one you are barely used to seeing because Mitch, he’s always calm, especially in the face of adversity.
“I don’t understand.” You say as he tilts his head towards you.
“I want to marry you.” Mitch says frankly. “And to do that I had to divorce her so I sent a P.I to serve her papers and she decided she wants a payout instead.”
“Oh.” You say as you take in this new revelation. It’s something the two of you have talked about in passing but it’s never been tangible, not until now. “How much does she want?”
“About half of what the casino is worth.” Mitch informs you as he adjusts his hat.
That’s his entire share, it’s an impossible amount of money. If he does that, if he cashes out to get those papers signed that’s everything he’s worked so hard for gone and you can’t stand the idea of that.
“Well she can go fuck herself…” You respond as you stub the remains of the joint into the ashtray.  “She doesn’t have to sign the papers for you to get a divorce especially since the two of you haven’t been together…”
“She’s threatening to drag it out.” He tells you as he rubs his palms over his weary features. “It could take years…”
“Then it takes years.” You say as you reach out and clasp his hand. “I’m not in a rush.”
“But I am.” He tells you, the expression on his face pained as he looks at you. “I don’t wait to wait any longer Sunny, I wasted so much time with all that stupid shit…”
He trails off then staring down at your hand, his thumb tracing over the space where a wedding ring should be.
“I love you more than I have ever loved anybody. And all I want is to belong to you, for people to know that I’m yours and only yours. I want to love you, cherish you, obey you.” he says with a hint of humour, the edges of his mouth turning up. “I just want what we should have had all along.”
“We can still have that.” You tell him, the fingertips of your free hand chasing along the stubble of his jaw. “It just might take a little while to get there and that’s ok, there’s still a lot of fun we can have in the meantime.”
“I just want our happy ending Sunny.” He whispers as his forehead comes to rest upon yours. “I want to see you walk down that aisle in a pretty dress and promise myself to you before God and all our friends, I want them to celebrate our love, I want…”
He pauses because it hurts that he can’t give you those things right now, that he fucked up so badly that he can’t just go ahead and marry the woman he loves.
“We’ll get there Mitch.” You promise him, your palm coming to rest upon his heart so you can feel it beating underneath the tips of your fingers. “I promise you we will.”
