Anon, you can ask me any long question and I'll read all of it. Also I love Carlos so I'm so glad I get to talk about him. This is also kinda long but I wanted to give my full opinion. ALSO YES ABOUT THE FIC!! I LOVE FLORENCE AND HOPED I WOULD FIND SOMEONE THAT KNOWS THEM

So here are my opinions on the things you've asked me:

1. Charlos: I seriously love them. But recently they remind me of a divorced couple. (I'm a child of divorce. I'm talking about Charlos btw. Not actually a child of divorce) And it HURTS!!! if you told me a year or two ago that I'd be going through this, I'd laugh in your face. But I love Charlos and the angst, the humor, and the clinginess. They're honestly so cute. They're not my fav (we all know who my fav is) but they definitely made it to my top 7. But also, I feel like Carlos fans and Charles fans have different opinions abt Charlos. Most Carlos fans love it and adore it, while most Charles fans ignore Carlos and seem to make him a bad person and compare the two. (Which driver was the only non rb winner last year?)

2. Carcar: IT'S HONESTLY SO GOOD!! It's such a random ship bc it came out of nowhere and we all started loving it. The jokes that are made (check Oscar's tt comment section) are so funny. It's probably in my top 5 because I love random funny ships like them. I also love the whole "we share a mutual good friend who wants us to get along but we low-key don't think we ever will" type trope. But Carlos has come forward and talked about their "rivalry" or lack of, I should say. So I approve of Carcar

3. Versainz: idk if I have talked about them, but if I have, oh well I'm gonna talk about them again. Versainz is the best ever. I miss them being teammates and the whole "we're both nepo-babies that need to make our dad's proud and we're fighting for the same seat" I WISH Carlos got that seat, tho I'm happy for Checo. Ily, Checo 🫶🏼 Versainz gives me that whole "we're low-key in love with each other but can't act on it bc we both have trauma and internalized homophobia." vibe and I love it lmaoo. Right now I have 29 works on AO3!! That's kinda crazy to me just because I only started posting last summer and didn't think it would go anywhere,, but almost 30 and still going strong!!

Language Barrier: I'm genuinely shocked this got so popular?? I'm happy to know that ppl love the "didn't think you could understand my language" troupe as much as I do!! It's one of my shorter ranpoe stories at 2.3k (I like to write longer fics bc I hate myself apparently) but I love it dearly <3

Interesting?: I loved writing this fic!! I am insane about them and continue to be!! It's also ranpoe (I wonder if you can guess the ships I like,,) and also my second longest fic ever at 32.6k. It's a high school au bc I love them living happy lives and being normal (ASAGIRI PLEASE) with a healthy(?) amount of rivalry on Poe's part! It's also one of the few fics where I bounce around in POV, which is something I love doing but find really hard

Good Shot: What can I say. I saw Poe w a sniper and went HOT what who said that. not me. But I also decided that he and Atsushi would make great friends (which led me to deciding they're siblings and writing a whole story about that) but I'm just a sucker for Poe adopting random members of the ADA by accident. Ranpo is just really proud of his bf. This one is also shorter at 2.8k but I got to write a really cool (totally not biased) fight scene so it's one of my favs

Feelings Are Difficult, Even For Geniuses: Guys this was one of my first fics I swear I've gotten better at naming them (I have not). 9.0k words of mostly Poe getting beaten up I have no words,, It's a bit more graphic (violent not sexy unless youre into that idk) than most of my stuff and definitely one of the more angsty ones, but it has a happy ending so dw he's fine

Henna Berries and Padisarahs: Ok this is where I shamelessly admit I'm a genshin player and while I haven't played in. forever. the sumeru quartet grabbed my heart and threw it out the window. Cyonari for the win. 5.2k and soulmates!!

I do!! I love comments SO much y'all have no idea how much they mean to me,, They've made me so much more confident in my work and eager to share my stuff and I really appreciate it!! I try and respond as fast as possible (I have responded to a comment within five minutes before and I still wonder if that commenter thinks Im a freak) but sometimes I'll hold off until I can finish the next chapter (if applicable). Tbh I don't really write angsty endings?? I might eventually, but they make me so sad :') Which. they're supposed to. I'd have to say Feelings are Difficult, Even for Geniuses only bc the fic itself is angsty and it's implied that Poe is gonna have to work through some shit emotionally after the events of it? It might be An Author, a Raccoon, and a Reaper though.

This is gonna be hard bc every single fic is a happy ending tbh.. Give it a Shot! is an octopath traveler ii fic that I loved writing the ending for (guys you should read fics from the octopath fandom they know whats up) but For the Hell of It might be my favorite ending that I've written!!

I just think Higuchi deserves love and a MC moment <3

I also have a fic where Poe uses the book after they've lost to send himself back in time to try and fix everything! But (in my fic at least) Arahabaki is outside of the rules of the book, so Chuuya also retains his memories,, I just think they could be a very interesting duo and have a lot of potential as begrudging allies (and guys. mafia poe. guys) but it's very long and idk if I'll be able to see it through (T-T)

What are your writing strengths?

I think I write dialogue well! I have trouble working through certain characters, but I like writing two really smart people bc I have to strike a balance between having them not mention things (bc they're obvious to them) and still letting the reader know whats going on.

What are your writing weaknesses?

I have a lot of trouble continuing fics bc I have so many things I want to write that I usually overwhelm myself trying to string plot points together,, Scenery is also SO hard for me to write idk why (@xerx we're opposites lmao <3)

What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?

I think it can be done well, but I usually prefer to italicize and just say in the notes that a character is speaking in another language so readers can understand what they're saying. However, if you're writing a story where you don't want the reader to understand either, I think it can be really interesting!

I notice a lot of stuff that just doesn't get noticed by people, ever, and i understand that when it comes to MCD s1, especially pre ep-50, lore and characterisation hasn't been properly figured out, even by MCD standards, so ignoring the little comments or implications is probably a force of habit because we have to ignore even the bigger things that are said, but it means I pick up on things that people seem to have never conceived before (at least not people who are actively posting about MCD on tumblr), because there's always a sort of 'omg really???' kind of reaction. And not only this, but there is clearly an interest in these little snippets of lore because I will see posts about what i have pointed out, after i have mentioned them, of people displaying an enjoyment for the mere concept, even if we know there is minimal canon execution.

And on one hand, it makes me feel a certain way about how 'special' i am that i can notice these things other people aren't talking about a lot, and how i am making people happy by bringing them things they would be otherwise unaware of. I know it's just because i'm paying too much mind to things that don't matter. I know it's not a big deal, and that i shouldn't feel so happy that people enjoy what i have to say.

But that's... also why it upsets me, sort of. I pay a little bit of attention to what they're saying sometimes, and i notice these things... And i just think the fandom has been so quick to discredit s1, or even MCD as a whole, as holding anything of use beyond the surface level just because of the dislike of Jesson's overall writing. I rarely see anyone picking apart lines, or making little theories, and whenever there are theories people are so quick to shut them down just because they don't like them. Of course, if there were actual debates and discussions over how people perceived these theories, using the source material as their proof for their points, picking out lines to defend their argument, that's another discussion - but that isn't what's happening. And it discourages any real engagement with the media that isn't surface level.

I'm not saying everyone needs to pick apart every millisecond of MCD, or even pay it any mind beyond casual viewing, i know there was a long period of time where i didn't... but the fandom really needs to change how it talks about the series. People treat it like it's great, and then encourage people to not watch entire seasons, and then people pick apart lines or make theories or do normal fandom stuff like make rarepairs or whatever, and then are met with discouragement and argument. And this was not in the name of 'keep fandom canon-compliant!' like some fandom purists, but almost the opposite.

Like i could get nasty about this, i feel strongly about this, but this is a fandom that hates the source material so much that it'll straight up lie about it to defend their fav. People will flat-out ignore canon in defence of their own point. And fanon is fine, headcanons are so cool... but i have seen literal teenagers bullied for saying they don't like characters bc they suck canonically, by people who are saying their points are invalid because of Reason They Made Up.

I just think that if we want to have big discussions about this series, we should be willing to use it as our point of reference instead of relying on our own memory and perception. If we care so much about these theories, we should rewatch to find our own proof for why we don't believe it's canon, and observe the proof that the pro-theorists believe support their point. And we should be having Big Discussions, because this show has the capability to have Big Discussions around it.

And it just makes me kind of sad, i guess, that we either have Small Discussions, or Big Discussions that usually end in some kind of argument instead of a nice little conversation about varied thought and perception.

I would put this on my blog but it feels a bit argue-y and ik that people tend to be biased when certain people say stuff in this fandom vs others, so. here. I hope it's not too much. I don't mean to come off rude as overly complaining, i do love this fandom, i just wish we had more people exploring the niche lore, making theories, and so on.

i didn't explicitly use it as inspiration for this fic, but i do think i drew a little from buffy the vampire slayer (like with most apocalypse byler stuff i've written lol) for that contrast!! that show does such a good job of contrasting the mundane and quiet with the loud and horrific. i did think a little about the very last episode of buffy on the night before the big final battle, and there's this very quiet shot of buffy and spike sharing a bed in her basement,,,that's kinda the vibe i was going for, and i felt happy with how it came out in the actual story :D

I do not wish to add to an stressful situation. I just want to thank you for writing and sharing IKLAO. There are hundrends of Aemond/ofc stories out there. Most of them are a wish fulfillement love stories with your "love trumps it all and female character becomes "Aemond's"" trope. They are fine. I am sure that there have been times when we all – fanfic readers – have turned to them. But, man, to those of us who also enjoy (and have a preference for) more complex takes on love (familial, platonic..you know, life), the overabundance of those stories with a toxic understanding of love as a one dimensional romantic feeling which should be put (particularly by female characters) above everything and everyone at all times gets tiresome. In fact, it tends to feel like an impossition by certain groups of fans. So than you, thank you, thank for writing and sharing a story which reads like a ASOIAF/GRRM story...as he himself has put it: a story about the heart in conflict with itself. Thank you for treating your readers like adults able to understand characters as complex as they are. I cannot tell you how much I love Alys. As someone who has have to face choices between differents kinds of love, her struggles feel so real.

I am sorry that you had that awful experience on the comment section. Unfortunately, when you share your stories with the world, you cannot control the level of emotional maturity and critical reading abilities of your readership. I have seen these awful and inmature reactions to complex takes on ofc (my favs, tbh) many times before in fandoms with characters similar to Aemond or Daemon (btw, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your take on Daemon). I am not at all surprised at the level of toxicity, but I am deeply sorry that you too had to experience ir. That is something mostly unheard off in fics focusing on characters such as Jace ir Oberyn Martell.

What I wanted to say with this rambling rant is that you should not blame yourself for the fact that some in your audience are not trained you really engage with a text beyond passive consumption of certain romantic tropes to fulfill their obsession with a character. You have written a beautiful story with complex characters, whose motivations and flaws hace been there from the start. You have treated us, your readers, like an intelligent audience able to understand nuances. It is such a rare thing in fanfiction that finding your story almost made me want to cry tears of joy. It is also the very reason I began reading IKLAO. Given the level of toxicity that the character of Aemond seemed to atract and how much I disagreed with the fanon interpretations, I avoided Aemond/ofc stories like the plage with a couple of exceptions: IKLAO and another story. I kept to my meager fics exploring Jace/ofc or Jace/Cregan.

So thank you once again for writing and sharing your story. You are extremely good at characterization and I do hope that this awful experience has not put you off from writing – to yourself or to share it.

I mean there are so many different kinds of fanfics, you know? and they're all so wonderful. but I guess this is a less than idealistic story, you know, because it certainly isn't "happy". and I get the disappointment with that.... I just don't know why people feel the need to blame me/insult the story bc of it. there's plenty of fanfics out there that might be exactly what they want, and if there's not, they can always write one themselves, you know?

it's certainly been an experience! I mean I do disagree with some takes I've seen on the characters, and it's totally fine if people do... it's just when they disguise their disgust and hatred for the story as "constructive criticism" that I get ticked off. like there's been a lot of really helpful suggestions and points about certain decisions. like many people thought it was a bad idea for Jace to let daemon go. they were right in the long run. many people don't blame daemon for what he's done. they have a point too! it's about a lot of different perspectives, and that's great! but yeah, when people are like oh, Alysanne is the worst person ever and I hate her with aemond... it's just like what are they doing reading the story, and why do they feel the need to tell me?

anyway. thanks for the ask! I just want it to be a healthy/respectful comment section. nothing wrong with people who hate alysanne/aemond or the whole story but there is something wrong if they decide to harass me/pollute the comment sections with wholly discouraging comments.

Part 1) I'm gonna say something controversial. I don't believe queer tk supporters (not shippers) exist. I don't believe other than non/anti shippers, queer armys who support a pairing that involves JM/JK x other members exist. Because I find it hard to believe anyone here for the real love would support anything but Jikook when GCFT exist. Sure everyone has different biases and fav dynamic& that's why Jikook might not appeal everyone but i think it's ridiculous they even think it's possibility.

P2) I became an ARMY in 2019. I didn't came across GCFT for the longest time bc I don't watch ytb videos and nobody other than jikookers mention GCFT either. So it took me long to find it but when i watched it, i was simply frozen. "is what i'm watching real??? How they did allow him??? I wanna support that, no matter what." Was my reaction. Also for ex, TKLies says she's bisexual but instead of adding to the collection "hints JK might be queer" GCFT bgm,she instead says he's d**b and doesn't know what the song is abt and the lyrics mean and he did it to make tae jealous. I mean i'm ashamed to say we're both bi, but that's not what a queer army would think imo, you know? That's what a straight fetishisizer would say. They're just using queer terms to disguise themselves in order for them to be more "believable". That's why I don't believe anyone could support any pairing involving JM or JK when GCFT exist. It's no coincidence there are so many queer Jikook supporters.

Opinions! Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us anon. I feel like everyone probably sees things differently and I'm positive thwt many many people get mislead and "brainwashed" by analysis videos to the point where they believe false translations and edited clips/photos that DO make it seem like another ship is real. They can be VERY convincing. This is why Watching original content is so important. I've literally seen comments from "the sheep" saying how they can barely watch OG content anymore or RUN BTS anymore because it's basically "the jikook show" and how it makes them sad so they instead just wait and watch the analyzed version from TKLies later to "understand the way it really happened and feel better about it."

And with GCFT, it's a beautiful video. I love that JK had such full creative control. I think part of that was he didn't tell anyone he was doing it until it was done and he was uploading it. Then he showed it off the the staff that was around and he was so proud. The only person who knew was Namjoon. And that's because he walked in on him editting in his new studio at like 3 am thinking he was working on new music. Lol so I think it's also safe to say that since Namjoon is fluent in English, he understood exactly what that song was about when he heard it as JK edited and would have made sure JK knew as well if that was a concern. JK is not an idiot though, he knows what he is doing, if nothing else... Google does exist and he can look up translations. And he had mentioned how he always looks up and studies the lyrics of any English songs he uses in covers/dance covers. I think its safe to say the same applies when he uses foreign songs in his video edits.

The Bad Joke and The Scoobynatural

(13x14/13x15)

Hello there!!! This time I'm gonna talk about one of the most OOC episodes ever and one of our favs episodes Scoobynatural. I put them together bc one was so bad I needed some fresh air. Hehehehe.

Let's start!

So OOC that hurts...

Episode 13x15 "A Most Holly Man" was written by Dabb but also by Robert Singer.

This episode was odd, with easy bad jokes, and OOC. It also had Wincest subtext, and it was very messy.

If you rewatch the entire season, this episode seems to be out of context. If they've wouldn't put the search for the element they needed for the spell, it could have been passed as an episode from another show.

I could write more criticism, but let's just talk about little pieces of dialogue that worked as clues, I'm very sure it were put by Dabb (even if I dislike his writing) more than Singer.

The three elements the gangsters wanted to get were:

Incense: Is used by christian rituals to elevate prayers and gifts from the parishioners to God. This could be speaking of Chuck coming in the next season.

Chalice: The chalice represents sacrifice for christianity. The Holt Blood of Jesus Christ that have his life for humanity. So, is talking about a future huge sacrifice. It could be taken for Dean and his Mal'ak box or Castiel in 15x18.

Skull: it's related to death, and it could be speaking of Mary Winchester death in season 14.

Another little take from this episode was this little piece of dialogue:

MARGARET: Oh, don’t thank me yet. Greenstreet has all the trappings of a gentleman, but… I would advise caution.

Okay subtle, but not that much. The last name is a combination of two words GREEN and STREET, it's obviously related to Dean, and the quote after this 'has all the trappings is a gentleman, but... I would advise caution." It's obviously talking about AUMichael!Dean.

A brief comment about the Wincest subtext... We had Sam flirting with Margaret and Dean showing signs of jealousy, it could be taken as annoyance, but, because is Singer involved, I would say it was intentionally written to be Wincest subtext. And after this we had Dean flirting... Super out of character, with a brunette... With a lame excuse... Unnecessary. But it worked to make this time Sam the jealous one. Connecting the drops, my dears...

Dean has faith again and the distracting rubbing lips...

In this episode we can also rescue another good points as Dean declaring he has faith. Remember at the beginning of the season he was lost and faithless, I ask myself what could happen to make Dean to recover his faith???

Oh yes, Cas is back.

Then the rubbing lips... We had the same gesture from Cas in the previous episode, so, I wrote two entire metas about how Dabb team used the hands to show foreshadow. So I truly thought Dean and Cas would kiss... Hehehehe. It could fit perfectly, but nah.

This episode also talked about how a priest, a righteous, a saint man, was trying to get the most precious thing for his community.

Trying to get back the most important thing he had, willing to make any sacrifice for it, it's the same would lead Dean to say 'yes' to Michael. When Lucifer kidnaps Sam and Jack.

(This could be just nice because family, and because Dean raised Sam, so Sam represents a son and such, but, because is Singer... Wincest again.)

Another piece of dialogue I found is the following...

FATHER LUCCA: (...)And what your brother’s doing, it’s a good thing.

DEAN: Yeah, or a stupid thing.

FATHER LUCCA: Or both. Many times, they can be the same.

This is telling Castiel's name, Because Dean is always asking him not to do stupid things.

Another foreshadow was Father Lucca talking about Lying is wrong, is a sin. This was the preamble to one of the most revealing episode that will bring Chuck back. The episode in which Jack erase the ability of telling lies in the whole world population.

Dean's cave meaning and visual narrative.

Episode 13x16 was full of symbolism, and is one of my fav episodes.

At first, we had Dean fighting against a huge green dinosaur, practically a monster in green. Just like the Squirrel/Godzilla in one t-shirt we'll see in episode 14x04, is representing DEAN, his inner photography of himself. He sees himself as a monster.

Everytime we see SCOOBY-DOO in Supernatural, it's related to Dean's innocence and purity. Those qualities on him will be the key to release him from his emotional prison in season 14.

Visual Narrative in Dean's cave

Let's talk about the Dean's cave. When Dean says to Sam "Be like Elsa, let it be," he's referring here to the most deepest feelings and fears. Elsa released what she had tried to repress her entire life, her powers. And once she accepted what she really was, she was really free.

This will happen to Dean too, the process had just started. Now that he got Cas back, and now that deep inside he had accepted he can't live without the angel, he will slowly be able to embrace his bisexuality, to accept who he really is. The climax of this metamorphosis it's gonna be describer through the whole season 14. It's the birth of Healing!Dean.

Dean's cave represents that. First of all I want you to know that the Dean's cave had been made to watch movies with Castiel. It's subtextually displayed by the location of the two couches and the color of the lights in front of them: RED AND BLUE. Those are Dean and Castiel's places. That place had been built to share time with his angel.

Fred and Daphne were Dean's bisexuality representation.

Mostly than Dean having a crush over the two characters (openly with Daphne and repressed over Fred) both characters were representing Dean's bisexuality (just like Pamela and himself in Rocky's bar and his friend and the waitress in 15x07).

When they had to team up (just like in 14x04) we had Sam and Vilma represented the insight, the intelligence. (Just like Sam and Sam). Castiel pairing up with Yaggy and Scooby, the innocence and the talking dog, the most precious thing for Dean. (Remember Dean would take a bullet for that dog, that's why Cas was compared several times in season 12 with a dog, and that's why Dean follows him anywhere to keep him safe after suffering his lost).

Finally, the bisexual team Dean with Fred and Daphne. In one opportunity Dean asks Daphne what does she sees in a man. Without mentioning she loves ascots, what this symbolically represents is Dean asking to his female side what she really likes to see in man. And we have Fred related to blue color, as a switch mirror with Castiel. Also because Daphne describes the perfect man as STRONG AND HONEST. Which are characteristics related to Castiel.

Castiel enters in the mansion the same way he did in 4x01, stormy, mysteriously, and bright.

Immediately after his entrance, we had this weird dialogue...

DEAN: It's a book we're writing. Yeah, about...killer stuffed dinosaurs. It's called...

CASTIEL: "The Killer Stuffed Dinosaur in Love."

FRED: Huh. Great title.

SCOOBY: Yeah. Great title.

"It's a book we are writing " this is very meaningful Because, the book they're writing despite the one Chuck is writing, is Team Free Will, but... We are talking about DESTIEL. Dean and Cas are writing their own story... Why? Because when they mention the title of that book is... The KILLER (Do you remember REGARDING DEAN? another brief appearence of Scooby Doo and Dean's innocence? In which Rowena told him he was a killer? So yes, Dean sees himself as a killer, that's why the image of a monster, a green DINOSAUR, and huge Godzilla Squirrel... But this KILLER GREEN DINOSAUR has a very important characteristic HE IS IN LOVE. DEAN IS IN LOVE, as he confessed in 14x12.

Do I have to explain how writers connect d Castiel's first entrance in 4x01 with this book they're writing as they go? The book is named DESTIEL.

I loved the scene in which Daphne freshly confesses Dean grabbed the ghost by the thigh and immediately Cas shows his jealousy over that.

But There's another almost at the end of the episode in which Dean mentions his affair with the Cartwright Twins and Cas asks about that, and Dean's face is priceless. Because if CAS would just represent a friend to him, he were absolutely explaining to him what happened with those twins, but he didn't. Why? Because Castiel is not just a friend. Castiel is Dean's love interest. So... Better not to talk about it.

But let's jump over the symbolism of the trapped child ghost.

BOY: I'm not. I never wanted to hurt anyone. But the bad man, he makes me.

CASTIEL: The bad man?

BOY: His name is Jay.

I want to point here we are inside of Dean's head as you've noticed so far, so... Velma is Dean's intelligence and reason, and is linked with Sam (just like in episode 14x04 in which we had the scooby-doo box opening the locked door). Yaggy and Scooby are the innocence and love, part of Dean and linked to Castiel. And Daphne and Fred are Dean's bisexuality. But There's another huge character inside of him THE MONSTER. The monster, the one he has to defeat, is represented by JOHN WINCHESTER'S TOXIC HERITAGE AND AUMICHAEL, they're part of his toxicity, his rage, his violence. The little ghost here is all the good inside of Dean, his childhood, his innocence, but the bad man who obligates him to kill, it's his inner monster. So this is a war between TOXIC!DEAN and HEALING!DEAN as we will see in season 14.

BOY: When I died, my soul was tied to a pocketknife. My dad gave it to me. It meant everything. When Jay found me, he used me to...Sometimes, I get so angry I break things, hurt people.

John Winchester's toxic heritage implies the GUILT. So, Dean's soul is tied to that GUILT. Jay represents AUMichael here, when AUMichael finds this tool, the guilt, he uses it against Dean to control him. The boy says he gets angry, he breaks things and hurts people. He's describing perfectly Dean's toxicity. His violence. We will see it in this season but also, at the end of season 14.

To Conclude:

In episode 13x15 we had a very OOC bad episode, but with a few clues for foreshadows.

Episode 13x16 was a travel through Dean's innocence, inner thoughts and repressed feelings. It's a preamble to Healing!Dean season and how Dean will be able to break free from his emotional prison, defeating his inner monster.

Hello! First, I love the content of your blog! I've been meaning to share something I thought for a long time and I would love to know if you agree or not. I feel like most of the fandom dismisses the fact that Historia contributed to the incredible amount of death going around the world. I'm going to be honest, Historia has blood on her hands and it might not be what people want to hear but I genuinely think so despite Historia being one of my favs. She just kept quiet, got pregnant and that's it? I assume there is more in the story but her pregnancy always felt off not bc of the paternity but the reason. I don't know for what great cause, she decided to keep quiet. In the end, she also is responsible of Sasha's death, Hanji's death and what's happening around the world. If you disagree, I will respect it! I just feel like she is as guilty as Eren in all of this which could explain why she doesn't take care of herself anymore. People were quick to assume she hates farmer-kun but I always had a feeling she just hated her conditions, not him. Remember when she told EMA she was just looking at the sky while she would rather have fought alongside with them? Ironically, history repeated itself. I can't possibly believe Historia never regretted the decision of keeping quiet, esp bc she probably heard about Sasha's death as well. People in the fandom portray Historia as a selfish bastard who only cares about herself and it's not even close to be true imo. Once again, I'm being brutally honest with one of my favorite character. By the way, speaking of farmer-kun, I love how people are quick to assume that Historia wouldn't choose a bully but should I remind them they were 9? I don't know your stance for this but I find it ironical considering they're the first to write fanfictions on whatapp about Harry Styles bullying the MC yet falling in love with her haha.😭

Hello Anon, ooft there’s a lot going on here! I’m a bit confused about how we got from Historia to Harry Styles?!  If that’s a dig at a specific writer, I’m completely lost, so I can’t really comment.  With regards to Historia though, I’m reserving judgement until we learn more about her motivations and why she did what she did.  I don’t think the story really supports the assertion that she approves of Eren’s actions, but it’s also not clear why she didn’t act to try and stop him.  Or maybe she did, and she failed?  Maybe she was afraid?  Or felt powerless?  We just don’t know. 

I do think it’s unfair to blame Historia for Sasha and Hanji’s deaths and the carnage of the rumbling, because those are events that were set in motion by Eren.  Blaming Historia risks absolving Eren of these horrific actions, and I’m not down for that at all.  We still don’t know whether Historia really did have the power to stop Eren or to influence his actions.  What we do know though, is that Eren himself could have chosen a different path at any time, but he refused to do so.  All that blood is on his hands.  We may find out that Historia does have to shoulder some of that responsibility and some of that guilt, but at this stage we still don’t know for sure. 

As far as farmer-kun goes, its hard to say anything about him one way or another, because we have so little to go on.  His unexpected appearance from left field does raise a lot of questions, but tbh at this late stage in the day, I’m not sure we’ll get any answers, particularly when there are so many more pressing questions still to be answered. 

Sorry, that’s a bit of a non-answer.  I’m as frustrated as everyone else about Historia’s arc, but I’m trying hard not to pass judgement until we have the whole story and can see the bigger picture.

first of all, the way you wrote the kissing scenes was SO GOOD. I said it in the tags but writing it in a way that is descriptive enough to let the reader know what's going on, but not too much to take the momentum out of it is a task i have yet to master, but you did it so well!

the kiss behind the ear was also a personal favourite (and the hand kiss with eye contact?! the sluttiest thing a regency era man can do, abut it works WONDERFULLY well in this context)

the insecurity part was something i had to tread really lightly because i really didn't want to make it sound like reader was criticising aspects of themselves that might make it personal for a lot of people. the last thing i want is for people to feel uncomfortable with my fic, and more important, uncomfortable in their own body bc everyone is genuinely gorgeous - unless you're mean and have an ugly heart then... not so much. also since i write gn!readers, i also need to be careful about how i'm talking about the outfit so that anyone who reads it can put their own perceptions on it 😭 i don't want m!readers to read that they're wearing a dress and grow uncomfortable during the fic- that's my worst nightmare 😭 so in short: i'm glad that the whole outfit scene reached across as how you perceived it; a comment on the outfit rather than the person!

But yk what is also INSANE and disrespectful, rude and disgusting? People who do it on the other way. When they try to prove to everyone that all of their favs are straight, even if a lot of them never said a thing about their sexuality. I’ve seen it happening too many times now and i’m so concerned. Those kind of people will get triggered just by seeing comment like “I think that X singer can be bi/gay/pan”. Some of them even DENY their favs own words when they gave a hint of their sexuality or some of them queer code. The best example that I’ve seen some time ago can be SUGA from BTS. Personally I don’t really listen to that group, once wanted to, but something ( fandom) prevented me from it. But back to point. There is a song if i am not mistaken that this man wrote himself and in that song he sings a verse that says “either is a man or a women”. Also apparently there was an interview when he himself said that he doesn’t care about the gender, when it comes to love, because he focus more on that person than either is boy or girl. THAT screams Pansexuality. And yet I’ve seen many of his fans Denying that fact by saying things like “but that doesn’t say that he is pan. He can be still straight and not care about gender”. Sorry. I didn’t know that being straight means not caring about gender, I always taught is being attracted to opposite one.

What I am trying to say here is that either it’s obsession about having gay favs and trying to prove so bad that they are gay OR aggression towards idea of their favs not being straight/denial even when some of them said/done something that can hint about them being queer… BOTH of those behaviors are Extremely disgusting, wrong and disrespectful. Because both are forcing the sexualities on those artists, when they might not be it.

Tbh I don’t even know why sexuality of their fav singers for fans is such important thing. At the end of the day sexuality (straight, bi,pan, gay, lesbian etc.) doesn’t affect the music they make or their vocals, neither it changes them as humans or their personality. So why is it so important for a lot of fans?

And no there is no such thing as “as long as they won’t come out, they are straight”. They can be any other sexuality, without informing their fans and the reason why they don’t do it is simply the very homophobic music industry and world itself . It is called protecting myself.

Listen to music, not to sexual orientation. If you are curious … cool. But if you’re Obsessed… pls stop.

i think a lot of ppl assume ppl are straight until said otherwise just bc as a society that's what we've been taught or told.

personally, unless an artist makes it apparent one way or another, i don't really focus on sexuality. i don't really care if they ever talk about their own or not. if they want to, awesome. if not, also awesome. i'm not stanning someone bc they're gay or straight or whatever lol

i think a lot of it has to do with connection sometimes. some ppl really want to connect with their favorite artist, and if that artist happens to also be the same sexuality as them, than that makes everything they do more special sometimes. and i think the reason some try to out their faves is bc curiosity and blurring the lines of the para-social relationship. they want to know and want to be the first to know too.

but as for the ones that deny their faves the right to express themselves…. it could be a bit of internalized homophobia. or just general homophobia. i know from personal experience internalize homophobia makes you do some dumb fucking things or make you think stupidly. so, to those that do deny, i have sympathy.

but only to a very small degree. once you start arguing with ppl about someone that outright has said that they are one way… you've lost me and you need some help, my friend.

i already said that i don’t even really like her, i’m just indifferent, and i’m not comfortable defending her because… she did some messy things and i don’t care for her and it wasn’t even my point, i find her grating and annoying and messy, i guess this is really about what the word means to you? i admitted i didn’t know about the asian comments, but i did for example know about her transphobic comments and my opinion is the same before and after… i justtt can’t get behind calling her problematic as a whole…

also if you’re gonna bring up her racial comments from so long ago and keep making it your point, are you going to do the same to namjoon? i’m curious. because i hate when other kpop fans use namjoon as the model for problematic idols, that’s why i’m cautious about treating other celebrities that way. you could pick out the messy and problematic things from anyone’s life and just write them off, bangtan included :/ so if you stan them i do find this sort of thing hypocritical. 

and last thing, about her race… i can’t even… like… you are going to erase her race because she is passing? or what do you mean? what is your point even????? there are black celebrities that never said a word about it, that’s why i brought it up, i know she’s biracial, was that your point? to like remove one of the positive things she does? are you really mocking her for trying to be socially active? she put herself out there to do the right thing, i don’t think it’s worth that sort of tone. i really don’t get your point of view. idek.. that is just way too cynical even for me.

yeah see, i dislike the chainsmokers way more than how i feel about halsey, but i was still happy for them that they got to meet, because the boys like their music and it would be a big thing for them to get connections like that, the audience exposure is HUGE, when the boys can benefit and when the boys are happy, i’m happy, even if i personally dislike the people they’re meeting… i just don’t think it’s fair to push our standards and opinions on the boys and be like “no you shouldn’t work with them because i personally dislike them”, it’s about the music first and about how much new fans and success they could gain
