More Silly Times au wherein Wukong tells MK all about Macaque, assumptions are made, and nobody is beating the allegations, your honour. Bullet Point edition.
It's important to me that you all know that Shadowpeach were not dating. At all. Much to the dismay, begging, and outright bribery of basically everyone who knew them.
Were they in love? Yes. Did either of them know that? Absolutely not. A neutron star would've been less dense than either of them. Many tried to get them to admit their feelings for each other. All failed.
The betting pool odds, though, are legendary.
Mk tries to ask DBK about Macaque and Wukong and inadvertently opens a whole container of worms.
Mk goes to ask DBK about Wukong's time with the Brotherhood in the aftermath of Season 3 since Wukong also told him about that, hoping that he might be able to give some advice or even help about "getting Monkey King back together with Macaque. Or at least talking properly to each other! It's really obvious that they miss each other and-"
Cue DBK tucking MK under his arm and busting into Waterfall Cave on Flower Fruit Mountain, Kool-Aid Man style.
"XIANDI! WHEN DID YOU AND YOUR WARRIOR GET MARRIED!? AND WHY WAS I NOT INVITED?! DO YOU NOT KNOW HOW MANY YEARS I SPENT DEFENDING YOUR HONOUR?! DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW MUCH OUR FORMER BROTHERS NOW OWE ME?! WHO COURTNAPPED WHO?!"
It takes twenty minutes for the yelling to stop before Wukong can explain, no he and Macaque have never courted, let alone married! MK, stop calling him my ex!... Guys, stop looking at me like that.
DBK and MK now share am inexplicable and unbreakable bond built entirely on exasperation.
Wukong once told MK a very similar story to The Hero and The Warrior, called The King and The Hero which is how he started opening up to MK about Macaque. Mk is having war flashbacks during the Shadowplay incident.
Either Mk calls Macaque out for telling the story wrong and Macaque gets told that version. Which makes him feel all wibbly which also just makes him mad.
Or MK tells Wukong and he impulsively hunts Macaque down causing a two hour long argument complete with powerpoint slides, multiple shadow puppets, poking and a very passionate monologue over who's version is right.
Or more specifically, who was the hero.
MK and Mei are there as well. MK is this close to locking them both in a closet. Mei is livestreaming and making bank.
It ends in a stalemate.
And the internet goes fucking feral over their new OTP.
MK and Mei spend a good couple of minutes asking Azure for advice on how to get Macaque and Wukong 'back together'.
However you want to imagine Azure's Brotherhood era's feelings for Wukong, whether one-sided romantic or pure admiration or intensely brotherly, Azure still has an ABSOLUTE crisis while processing what MK and Mei asked him.
He also tells Yellowtusk and Peng while capturing DBK. DBK just fans the flames however he can to try to buy time for PIF and Red Son to potentially escape. (He also demands all the money and favours they owe him now.) (I think the chaos this causes does allow at least Red Son to escape so he's now in on the Season 4 adventures.)
Yellowtusk is all like "Oh finally. Good for them." while Peng reacts like the salty bitter ass they are.
They bring it up during the fight against Macaque and Mei and Macaque just flatly stares at Mei.
Way back in the day, Wukong and Macaque pretended to be a married couple for Shenanigan purposes. Present day people find out.
In the OG JTTW, Wukong spends a lot of time glamoured as other people and at least a few times as a woman and in LMK, Macaque is almost canonically a theatre nerd and a drama queen. So I feel this is absolutely in character for both of them.
So they pull this stunt to steal some stuff from a noble family or some demons and at some point they got like a miniature portrait of their glamoured forms done for giggles.
The gang finds the picture centuries down the track because it is in a position of pride in Wukong's hut, spelled within an inch of it's life for protection against general wear and tear, any sort of damage and dust.
Wukong doesn't understand why they are all looking at him like that. He just misses those days some times!
For everyone's sanity, Wukong had his 'Oh. Oh No.' moment right in the aftermath of Season 5 while they're watching the fireworks. Macaque has his when Wukong holds out his hand.
I like to think Wukong looks back at Macaque and sees him all lit up prettily in the fireworks and quietly looses his mind as he realises just how long he's always thought Macaque looked handsome, and just how Macaque has always been there and now he's back and sure things aren't the same as they were, but they can make it better than it was. Mk has already shown him that anything is possible by just believing in himself so maybe they can be friends again and maybe, just maybe!
(MK sees this playout across Wukong's face and is subtly and frantically texting the Group Chat.)
Macaque has his during the hand holding scene (you absolutely know the one) and just sees Wukong, for once, looking back and choosing to face the end with him. Wukong isn't racing off to fight it, or avoid it or anything else. He's choosing to stay and that's all Macaque ever wanted and he nearly lost him to something beyond death and reincarnation. He Heard everything that went down between MK and Wukong and while it makes him guilty that MK had to sacrifice himself, he's just so grateful that he still has a chance to rebuild his bond with Wukong and he can't blow it not when- oh.
And honestly, it just makes them both even more pathetically down-bad for each other. There just more blushing involved now.
The day Shadowpeach is cannon, the internet breaks, MK weeps tears of joy and DBK breaks into Yellowtusk's hold cell to share a drink for old time's sake and to demand his money.
#Silly Times Au#shadowpeach#lmk sun wukong#lmk six eared macaque#Someone said this sounded like Pure Shenanigans#Yes yes it is#I love me a shenanigan#Also they go through so much stuff in canon let me subject them to the Silly#Also my favourite idea is DBK pulling a Kool-Aid Man and interrupting a monkey pile nap

i definitely understand people who weren’t fond of the shae/sansa stuff bc it undercuts sansa’s isolation COMMA BUT i think in many ways shae takes the place of dontos (which, ymmv on that change too) in being someone who is a) not powerful enough to actually do much to help sansa and b) sincere in their affection for her while having their own agenda that in many ways contradicts sansa’s agenda. when you take into account the axed bale story, it also makes sense - she makes p fast friends with mya stone, who shares many traits w show!shae when it comes to being self reliant and mistrusting the intentions of powerful men. so i don’t think shae IS a huge departure from sansa’s book story, i think it’s just true that an older lover of tyrion’s (rather than a vulnerable 17 year old like book!shae) would feel equal parts protective and resentful of sansa, and that sansa might latch onto the only voice in king’s landing that is telling her the truth (even when it’s painful) and also not trying to fuck her. bc the main issue w sansa’s pre alayne story is it’s very internal - she is a hostage with no allies and so a lot of her chapters are full of reflection rather than action. better writers would have had continued nightmare-and-dream sequences, with ned’s flashbacks being inherited by sansa, to show us their internal character. but an easier fix is to just give that character a sounding board. a lady’s maid is an easier way of doing this bc sansa & shae have legitimate reasons to be left alone often. so you cut back dontos for shae. i think where the show errs is in not having shae actively scheme to get sansa out of the capital, against tyrion’s wishes, as a way of further cementing this bond. but that’s not exactly an issue with this change - it’s an issue with the show’s inability to allow tyrion to be wrong, or to do wrong, and so shae takes this weird turn where she’s framed as a shrew for being CORRECT that tyrion wants to fuck his child bride, and making Sansa open up to Tyrion more than she ever, ever would. THATS what completely undercuts Sansa’s story in the capital, more than anything else - Tyrion’s resentment towards Sansa in adwd is rooted in the fact that he saw her as a stupid little girl who never learns, as a songbird in a cage, but it turned out all along she was a wolf and her wings were not broken. she fought and she flew, and all along he thought she was a damsel in need of his saving. but god forbid tyrion be allowed to be a character; instead he is forced to be a stand in for the modern audience, for the men who feel like outsiders (whether or not they actually are) and Sansa HAS to have been understanding of the grown man she is forcibly married to, and Shae HAS to have been wrong to turn on him. So Sansa kneels, so Sansa shares her grief, so Sansa worries after Tyrion and never once mentions Shae again. So by the time Sansa gets to the Vale, she’s not even book!Alayne. She’s somewhere close, but not quite, and this gets blamed on Shae when the culprit is the man who was trying to juggle them both.
#getting on my soap box#anti got#and tbc he is not tyrion either. he doesn’t know about tysha he still loves jaime he has a ‘reason’ to kill shae#of COURSE he never rapes anyone or turns on dany maliciously - he is not tyrion anymore.#shae#sansa stark

I finished mtmte/ll recently and as much as I absolutely adored the series, I do have some complaints/questions.
That final arc felt generally kinda weak, but some things really stuck out:
Most glaring to me was Nightbeat's death. I didn't even realize what was going on when I read it. I fully believed he was just getting up to more hijinks on his own, finally make his own discovery, then the series ends and I realized he actually fully died? It was so anticlimactic and honestly unnecessary I didn't even register it was supposed to be a permanent death until I saw he was one of the figurines of dead characters on the table. Why no one even give a fuck either the crew never brings it up 😭
On the note of dead characters, Skids. I know plenty of people bring this up as a complaint but yeah, I see why. One of the best characters in the series killed off in an (questionably necessary) incredibly depressing scene, with no one ever reaching true closure or having good discussions about it. I have a lot of thoughts about his death that I gotta think through first, but Im just unsatisfied with it. It feels like the series relied on everything just ending up okay, like with Tailgate mysteriously living. Cd/rewind and cyclonus/Tg both had plenty of moments were character death is resolved by some miracle because they completely rely on each other to not fall apart, and it would be incredibly depressing for that to happen to a character. And that's completely okay, but then it just feels weird that to avoid that kind of plot, they have the characters closest to Skids just move on, hardly acknowledging it. At that point just being him back as well, because his platonic relationships were as strong as those romantic ones. Or at least have his friends acknowledge it, literally anything. (I do find it really interesting that his first words in the series were his last, calling himself scum. Sad, but a fun idea, that makes his death feel even worse too me. He died thinking he was a horrible person and because of his lack of revival, it's an extremely depressing almost up out of pocket way to end of his character in a series that never had this type of hopeless vibe.) Maybe they wanted the DJD to be a full threat, by actually killing off a character. But it wasn't really them who did it, at least not directly so I don't really think so.
This is more of a question, what was the point of Roller? Don't get me wrong I adored him probably way to much for a guy who didn't really do much. But seriously, what did he do. After the flashback we're he is introduced, it feels like he's supposed to be something of a Skids replacement, as in he's filling in the spot of a charismatic kind guy that's kinda the more down to earth member of the crew to compliment that wacky personalities. I think he was supposed to be a Red Herring in making you think he was Tarn before becoming Tarn (because of his need to be useful and his head shape)? But it was so underbaked I didn't even catch that until after Tarn died and was revealed to be Glitch instead. And now this is getting into more personal opinions/ideas, but I feel like he would have been more interesting if he was Tarn. But I get that just doesn't work because he was a disappeared person, and clearly Tarn isn't disappeared. But considering the loop holes this series gets into to make stuff happen (which again isn't a bad thing I think it makes it more charming) it could have plausibly happened, considering he changed his identity completely to become Tarn. I might make a post going into this idea further, but it would have probably made Tarn too sympathetic (which I also have thoughts about) so I understand why they wouldn't.
Sorry this got to way too long, I might mention more later when I can fully retrospect. Again tho, I really enjoyed this series, no series can be perfect and there were probably time constraints.

Improving Dead Man’s Party from Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Listen to me this is literally the worst episode I’ve seen so far (I’m like halfway through season 3). My thing is I think what could’ve saved that episode is showing why the Scoobies were acting unstable, avoidant and cruel. Literally could’ve just been two or three flashbacks of the Scoobies dealing with some awful stuff.
See imo nobody’s necessarily completely out of character with the important caveat that it would only be truly in character for them if they’d just had the most traumatic summer of their lives and they’re having their own respective When She Was Bad (tm) collective moments. It wouldn’t excuse the behavior but it would at least explain it.
My Headcanons for “hidden scenes” of what happened to The Scoobies Worst Summer Ever
First and foremost I don’t think that Xander and Willow (and by extension Oz) would try and tackle the Vampire problem on their own unless they felt like they had to. I’ve seen some people argue that they didn’t have to go fight Buffy’s fight while she was gone but I don’t think they’d feel that way. They lost a close friend to vamps (Jesse) and I’m almost certain the death rate and vampire population absolutely SPIKED in Buffy’s absence. Out of anyone in Sunnydale, aside from Giles (who’s preoccupied with finding Buffy) these TEENAGERS are the only ones with enough understanding/experience with the supernatural to put a dent in the life-threatening spooky bitch population. These guys were canonically killing their friends and classmates and had minimal adult supervision and were inspired by Buffy to fight the good fight. So they tried, and they canonically sucked at it!
I don’t think Joyce would’ve been on speaking terms with most of the Scoobies for at least the first month and a half, and even then she might not have ever brought up Buffy leaving a note. Willow is not great at confrontation and is distracted by Oz and Magic and stuff. Giles is flying all over the country. You know who I think would reach out to Joyce? Genuinely? Xander! His home life sucks, he and Giles don’t get along super well, Cordy’s gone and Willow and Oz have each other. I think aside from Giles, Xander would take it upon himself to look after Buffy’s family (which he canonically does in other contexts later on).
I also think that everyone got hurt a lot trying to square up against the undead. Which would explain why Xander comes down so hard on Joyce’s side in the big blow up at the party. Aside from probably really really liking Joyce since he and Willow don’t have spectacular parents (not that Joyce is a saint but still) and his two big triggers are Vampires in general and his friends’ getting hurt, especially Willow, that’d explain some of his rancid behavior in DMP.
As for Willow? Don’t get me wrong I love Oz and Willow and think they were good together, however obv things aren’t always peachy keen between them. Oz lied to her about going to summer school and would’ve had to wolf out at least twice before Buffy came back. Maybe Oz being a werewolf and all the things that come with it bothered her more than she thought it would, and things were not okay between Xander and Willow at the end of the season so she definitely didn’t talk to him about this stuff. Hell maybe the werewolf stuff was straight up SCARY for her but she didn’t want Oz to break up with her (for the reasons he ultimately leaves later).
Then there’s the whole magic thing and the birth of her slowly burgeoning resentment of Giles. Who is too busy with Watcher stuff, grieving for Jenny, trying to keep Joyce in the loop and having to prioritize finding Buffy over the stuff going on with her. Despite their similarities and the early warning signs Willow is giving off. I think a huge part of what motivated Willow in her magic journey is feeling useless/not in control and not even being sure if her re-souling spell worked. I think she wanted to look for Buffy with magic, she probably tried!
In fact Willow makes an offhand comment of biting off more than she could chew by dealing with the spirit world. What if what drove her to even try that was maybe trying to communicate with Jenny’s spirit maybe to get Giles to pay attention to her? Maybe to get guidance from Jenny directly with the whole magic thing since she feels ignored and misunderstood and she and Jenny were close? Or even worse, what if she was so scared that Buffy was dead and was trying to find out by looking for her spirit just in case? There’s so many tragic implications for why she’d even try magic that difficult!
So like Willow and Xander are taking the brunt of the attempted slaying with assists from Oz and almost definitely feel they’re fighting a loosing battle. Xander is isolated from everyone except for maaaybe Joyce and he and Willow are drifting apart and has all of his Masculinity Issues which might’ve been exacerbated by one of the Scoobies being hurt fighting vamps. Willow feeling abandoned, isolated and ignored with having no place to vent her feelings about the other Scoobies and doing magic to cope with zero guidance. Actually SEEING those struggles in parallel with Buffy’s I think would’ve made the Scoobies way way WAY more sympathetic in DMP but nooooo.
I also headcanons that some apologies and communication HAD to have happened between Dead Man’s Party and Faith, Hope and Trick otherwise I don’t think Buffy and the Scoobies would’ve been on speaking terms, especially not Buffy & Xander.
#dead man’s party just plopped us into an intense emotional conflict#with only half the context#then seemed to expect the audience to understand everyone’s side#with no set up for why we should and no real resolution#so I had to be like FINE I’ll do it myself!#buffy the vampire slayer#BtVS#BtVS headcanon#dead man’s party#BtVS meta#meta#Xander Harris#xander harris meta#willow rosenberg#Willow Rosenberg meta#daniel oz osbourne#rupert giles#joyce summers

YES!!!!! it kills me to death that the entire decima plot and hilbert as a whole goes NOWHERE!!!!! hilbert gets one second of humanity in front of eiffel (+lovelace conversation) and then no one ever talks about it and nothing happens and then he dies! and then surprise decima was never even important and it was all about aliens the whole time! i just wanted his whole thing to lead up to anything at all!!!! it felt like they changed what way they wanted to go with the story half way through after they had already set up all the decima stuff😭😭😭 sidenote its super interesting how the people he has hurt the most are also the only people who give one fuck about him even a little that is insane every time i think about it i die he should have came back to haunt people a little more i think
anon we are frolicking in a field together. You get me. You understand.
Obviously I’m biased but it’s always kind of been nuts to me how much of hilberts character they just kind of walk back. Especially because so much of it seemed like gold from a character writing perspective. Guy who spends years pretending to be a completely fake guy after his last mission went horribly wrong, before he drops the charade and reverts back to his old self because he tried and failed to kill his entire crew and now everyone knows who he really is? Guy who dedicates basically his entire life to this one project he swears will work one day, dragging himself and everyone he works with down with him, only for it to be revealed that any semblance of progress was all fake and that the people funding him never even wanted it to work anyways? Like that’s crazy. He’s so fucking interesting.
But then the podcast itself decides to take a lot of that back, or just not even touch it. From trying to retcon an entire season’s worth of his fake personality in future flashbacks and mission mishap episodes by just having him be the same tired old man instead of the jolly and upsetting scientist schtick he was pulling in s1? And then killing him, which for all intents and purposes i don’t disagree with, but which really feels like they were just trying to get rid of him with how little anyone acknowledges him after he dies.
like I think you can feel how little hilbert’s death impacts the story when you compare it to maxwell and how she still very much has a presence in season 4. She’s everywhere, you don’t get to forget her. It’s really interesting! And also makes it incredibly weird that Hilbert doesn’t really? Get that? We don’t even get a proper reaction from Lovelace? Like yeah she was sort of out of commission before he died but also you’d think that would be a great prompt for a later realization when she comes back and all of a sudden he’s not there. She fucking hated him but he was also the very last member of her old crew. You’d think that would count? For something? That it would cause Some sort of reaction, whatever that reaction might be.
it feels weird because at the end of the day he is textually very fucking interesting, and I like him a lot, but I almost feel like the writing doesn’t want me to give a shit about him. Which is weird!!!
#He literally should have come back to haunt people more. Is the thing.#he only did that like once or twice wnd frankly I don’t think that was enough.#rip king you would have loved living long enough to see your entire worldview shatter#not main tagging this one bc it’s mostly criticism and I don’t think most people want to see that.#but still getting a character tag bc well there are 3 Hilbert fans and I think we are all feeling it sometimes#alexander hilbert#asks :0]#yelling. screaming even. :0]#long post

Do you have more character analysis on og!Cale and how his relationships are with the other characters? Before and after transmigrating
Well, I'd love to, but..... here's the thing. For all the hype about OG Cale – and I'm definitely a member of that crowd, don't get me wrong – there isn't actualy... much about him. That is actually canon, I mean.
In fact, despite being one of the most popular characters in the fandom, OG Cale is only present in the novel for less than three full chapters in total (655-657), and all of them are spent mostly discussing how the war in the TBOAH timeline went down, not OG Cale's personal relationships.
Everything we know is all told through KRS!Cale perspective, who mostly just makes guesses and some pretty inaccurate assumptions. Sure, there was some stuff on how OG Cale treated his family in the TBOAH novels; but because "Nelan Barrow" did not really know the actual reason behind OG Cale choosing to act like trash... It's all extremely vague.
Nelan Barrow goes like: "OG Cale yelled at his servants yet never actually hit any of them, respected his father but kept distance from his family, and the closest person to a father figure he had was Ron Molan whom he treated like a human being". And that was basically everything, without any context added.
Ron had all of one flashback about OG Cale comforting his father after Jour's funeral. No explanation about Deruth's second marriage, about Basen – not even that they're not biologically related! OG Cale himself stated that "no matter how hard he tried to act like trash, they wouldn't kick him out", so that means the whole Henituse family did love OG Cale unconditionally. And also Ron and Beacrox were visibly quite tired of his nonsense by the time Cale transmigrated. But beyond that...
Well, to be fair, there were some minor characters sprinkled here and there who had a connection to OG Cale, before KRS!Cale got to meet them. There was Hans the butler, who was kind of scared of OG Cale... before he loosened up completely around KRS!Cale. And also there was the Eric Wheelsman, Gilbert Chetter and Amiru Ubarr trio; who were OG Cale's childhood friends because of their connection as North Eastern nobles. There was also the unnamed niece/OG Cale's reincarnated mom, and some Korean characters came up in the extras. They're all great characters, but... all of their relationships with OG Cale were exactly as one might expect: they're confused by OG Cale, yet overall like him (because for all the "trash personna" he did, OG Cale was never actually a bad person).
...Not much left to be said here.
And regarding the 20 years of war in the TBOAH timeline... OG Cale could be a biased narrator like Cale himself, but it sounded like he wasn't really anyone super important. He saw the confrontation between Choi Han and the White Star from the sidelines, not as someone close to the "main hero". He was just a soldier in the background of the battlefield. I doubt he talked to Choi Han even once.
Look, overall, most of OG Cale's relationships can be deduced or estimated from context – like the fact that despite his terrible reputation, no one who knew him actually hated him all that much – but in true canon, there's nothing much going on regarding his bonds with anyone aside his family. Yes, we can headcanon all kinds of drama based on Choi Han's violent actions in the beginning of TBOAH, followed by him leaving with both Ron and Beacrox without them saying goodbye to OG Cale... But that's all fan theories. In the TCF novel, OG Cale is a complete mystery for over 600 chapters.
...Which is probably why fans are so obsessed with him. Fleshing out OG Cale's character is super fun. No wonder there are so many Twin AUs, hahaha!
#tcf#trash of the count's family#lcf#lout of the count’s family#og cale#og cale henituse#original cale henituse#q&a#replies#tcf meta#character analysis#don't let the bazzillion fan aus fool you#og cale was actually a very obscure character in the novel#sure it's fun to speculate about him#but he really never showed up much aside from the backstory

Bethany's Bizarre Miraculous Reviews Episode 6-4: Daddycop
Alright, Sabrina Focus Episode! And Zoe might get something! Funny ass episode name!
Oh hey! It's fake Chloe!
Damn, they're adding on the Chlobrina subtext. Also who made the Queen Bee action figure?
I forgot how bald Officer Roger is, lmao.
Oh. She lied. Of course she lied.
Hm. Jupiter. According to my cosmic theory that's Marinette.
Special privileges from the mayor? What if Marinette ended up becoming Chloe 2.0? That would be a fun irony.
Oh hey! She wants to help Marinette like in Evilustrator!
Oh boy! Exposition and Marinette noting she failed Chloe! She did, in a sense!
Look how they massacared my girls. The hair hunters got to them but didn't complete the job. Also I guess Kagami and Zoe are part of the girlsquad now. Wish I could've seen that development.
I used to have a movie night with a friend every Wednesday.
Kagami status: cooking
Oh. Just a friend?
Wait, love.
Also I'm liking Zoe comforting Sabrina about this. Cute!
Hamster named Marinette again lmao
It should end like this, honestly. Adrien's a Virgo and you're a Leo. According to Astrology, you two are incompatible as hell.
The sudden turnaround lmao
Oh, so Felix's Henchgirl is going to preach to Zoe now!? Mylene I can understand, but Sabrina did zilch to you!
Oh boy! More dramatic irony!
Oooh, Zoe lore?
Yes! Go Adrien! Stand up for yourself!
Oh my god that was instantaneous. Sabrina W.
Another decent mind-control akuma.
Wait, he loves being a distraction? I guess the Marinette salters were wrong.
So did they decide on the Miraculers as well in the episode 11 flashback?
Outfit upgrade! (Although I think this was in episode 2 as well. Yet Marinette was alright with Miss Hound taking her motorbike. Was it because she was helping her? What is the timeline on this stupid season?)
Ah, Pegasus again. This is the second time. Will this be a common thing?
And a detransform phase for the powerups. That was missing all the way back in season 2!
Alright, quick pajama review for the new PJs:
Mylene: She's wearing Ivan's season 1 shirt. It's so good.
Rose: The unicorn kigurumi (or is it onesie? What's the difference between the two?) it hyper-fitting. I'd also be jolly if Rose had handmedowns from Juleka as PJs and vice versa.
Juleka: I always imagined her as wearing handmedowns from Luka as PJs and occasionally regular clothes. Unless we wanna imagine Luka in that black tank and sweatpants.
Kagami: Silky rich pajamas are good!
Zoe: Yeah, sure. She has so little going on for her that I'm down with anything.
And Zobrina. On one hand I do love extra yuri, but Zoe isn't beating the "meant to take everything Chloe was going to have post-redemption" allegations. I'm more of a Julerozoe fan anyways.
Eh. I don't like the new cut that much. Kindof a downgrade and not even that different. I'd rather grow her hair out. I love short-haired girls with long hair and vice versa.
Jesse-ass sounding prick
That was a good episode! It felt like good damage control after Chloe's Swan Song that was trying to say: "If you're a bully in middle school you aren't scum less redeemable than an actual supervillain and deserve to live with your abusive mother." And it worked!
So I marked off everything I believe in for S6 from the past two episodes with two new colors. Cyan means I think it's happening but not yet confirmed while piss yellow means it's deconfirmed. I love the CYM color scheme. For example, it seems like Zoe's getting some extra backstory and the fact that Sabrina and Ivan have focus episodes makes me think Nathmarc might too, but I don't have any proof for either of those.
Wow, if those cyans become magentas we have 4/5s of a bingo!
As for the Axes of Funk, making Ladybug and Chat Noir into Sabrina Zombies would probably make them drop their guard, but the handcuffs stuff would be better. Also the car is cool, but overall I prefer the original Rogercop design.

kay fic time!!
so nothing is set in stone this is just me sort of rambling about checo (also @alex-writes-stuff brought up Baku ‘24 and reminded me that i’ve been sitting on this idea for the last 24 hours so thanks king 🫶🏽)
okay, officially the fic would start in Baku on Sunday but the commentators point out that Bird (😒) had been replaced by Woody (😌) for the time being because Woody loves Checo and knows what he’s doing and that there was a lot of shuffling in checo’s side of the garage.
flashback time to summer break where christian and helmut were like “yeah if you don’t improve you’re out” and checo was like “then changes have to be made and now” obviously the two put up an argument and checo has had enough of the snide comments, the racist remarks that were made and just completely done with their shit
checo’s like “who are you gonna put in the car? Daniel? Lawson? None of them are going to be fine with being second to Max and you know that” and through some not so vague legal threats (checo promises that if he leaves, he’s sure more than half the sponsors would too) anyway things get switched around and by the time baku comes around, things are more smooth.
now, the absolute shit show that was the ferrari turning into checo (i still don’t remember how this happened btw if i think about it too long it sends me into genuine rage) doesn’t happen because carlos (as much as i am not a fan of him, can admit he knows the car and is highly ranked for a reason) says something about the car just feeling wrong.
woody catches this and tells checo to keep an eye on the ferrari and by pure chance that Checo see the ferrari start to drift, he floors it and barley manages to avoid the wayward ferrari
obviously carlos crashes and it’s kind of like baku ‘21 when max crashed like five laps before the end and it was a standing start. I’ll have to rewatch the end of the race to remember how many laps from the end the crash happened, but for now, they get red-flagged and race control decide on a standing start.
checo manages to podium because the mclaren and ferrari were just that much faster, but he had a better start than george and he gets to retain the King of the Streets title.
He continues to score highly throughout the season and while he doesn’t podium in Mexico, he is high enough in the standings. I’ll have to figure out the point standings to see if ferrari is threatened for the constructors championship
the chestappen part might be slightly back ground with max still defending him in the media and reminding everyone why him and checo are a good driver duo
because Checo was able to improve (and probably overtake ferrari in the wcc—i’m still not sure about this) he’s able to stay in 2025 :)
that’s all i got rn so im basically giving checo op!logan levels of plot armor (logan didn’t get dropped either why idk either im giving him plot armor too and it just seems to fit)
#checo perez#for some reason this is very important to me#also i haven’t been able to find good enough checo fics#i need more fics of him#giving checo op!logan sized plot armor#maybe a little for logan too#can’t let my men suffer 🙂↔️#okay i think that’s it goodnight

Remind me again, why is ~he~ here?!
Siege and Storm- Chapter 9

It's not a team effort, Malyen. Army won't judge you as a couple.

Macho lowly otkazat'sya doesn't get to strike (again).

Please do!
This would work as much more powerful statement, if Mal were genuinely concerned for Alina's well-being and her OWN choice, instead of being pissed he's the one, who called dibs on her.

*whispers* That's exactly what's he gonna do...

For allowing you to keep breathing?!
Yeah, me too...

There's nothing more pathetic than an insecure man shouting.
Perhaps maybe insecure man deciding for "their" woman.
A minute of silence for an alternative universe, where Nikolai isn't so unreasonably accommodating, and has actual guards stationed at door, so they rush in after hearing shouting. They see a deserter attacking their Tsarevich, so they step in...

Is acting like a mindless animal supposed to make him look attractive?!

HoW DaRe You fLiRt WiTh My aCcEsSoRy?!
Because seriously- what's his problem here?!

Really?!
That's what's bothering you, Alina?!
I know Alina has some serious issues regarding self-worth, but I'd be more concerned about him acting as if she were his property, and anyone even suggesting she might have different role in the world deserves to be beaten by fists (because control is overrated and true men make a pub brawl out of anything)...
You're supposed to sit by hearth and warm my soup!
Sorry Malaria, but Alina IS THE Sun Summoner, want it or not. You can't just keep ignoring it and hoping she'll just slip into your shadow AGAIN. ... wait... *war flashbacks from Cofton* At least not as long as there are people capable of finding her and dragging her back into the story.
How can you be so SELFISH, Alina?! What about his soup?!
Just when the heroine moves to assume at least ~some~ responsibility (although for different reasons than you'd expect), she's promptly shamed for not thinking about Maaal for one (1) second... I love how he uses position of honour as an insult, because he's the one with full ownership of a public figure.
I know I'm apparently too demanding, but shouldn't he be overjoyed he didn't get shot on the spot yet? And no one seems too concerned about his desertion...
But hey- gf not discussing her decision to stop hiding from expectations placed upon her is obviously the more pressing matter.
Y'no. if his objection was that she completely forgot to negotiate change of his status in First Army with Nikolai (DESER*gunshot*), I'd cheer and fully support him, but his position in her love life and bedroom is apparently more pressing matter.
Also a huge fan of body language here.
What could crossed arms mean in body language? Rude, angry and insecure?! Sounds about right...
Ordinary deserter ORDERS a Prince and Major of the very same Army he fled...?
Yeah, Alina!
Mal wants his sickly housewife back!
Y'no, I wanted to note how quickly Malyen changed his mind about coming back, but then I re-read the end of previous book to be sure, and it's always been Alina. He wanted to get out, get rid of her amplifier and live his happy life in obscurity consequences be damned:
Shadow and Bone- After
His girl refuses to get rid of all of the stuff that makes her different, so he just has to settle for her fancy clothes...
Wow!
Supportive boyfriend here!
But hey- admitting she IS strong would mean giving up his dreams of watching her trudging after him.
He doesn't even have any idea what the Darkling can or cannot do! It's not some sort of professional opinion!
This one's kinda funny in a way- Alina had very similar thought about him and volcra a chapter earlier...
Siege and Storm- Chapter 8
... ashamed ... given up EVERYTHING to be WITH ME ... Don't tell me, Malyen's so blind he never notices what his (rather pointed) remarks do to Alina?!
I thought we both wanted to help Ravka.
No, Alina. He never did. We've been both wrong. He cares only about himself and his ownership of a small, inconsequential you.
This could offer an interesting view into a mind of a soldier so alienated from his country that offers him zero promises for the future, he cares for nothing... if he weren't such an inconsiderate dick to Alina...
Love this aspect of their relationship! SO empowering!
Like... He'd need to be extremely dull, if I wanted to interpret this as anything but clear fucking MANIPULATION. This is psychological blackmailing 101!
And he's supposed to be the supportive boyfriend SOMEHOW...

She-Ra In He-Man Revelations/Revolution
So it's been a few days and I wanted to put this post out there to basically publicly give my thoughts on some... recent developments concerning He-Man Revolution. Before I go into this, MASSIVE SPOILER WARNING FOR THE SHOW!
And also, and this is probably MORE important than the spoiler warning. Do not, and I repeat, do not take whatever speculation I put in this post as gospel or something that is GOING to happen. I may be a bit more knowledgeable than a lot of people about this stuff, but I don't wanna consider myself an expert. This is just me speculating and giving my thoughts and I don't want to get anyone's hopes up because there's a good chance, that what I'm saying turns out to be completely wrong and I don't wanna be responsible for that, so please, take all of this with the smallest grain of salt possible.
With that out of the way...
So the new season of He-Man ends with the reveal of this lady, Despara. For those who don't know... she is Adora. As in She-Ra Adora. In the DC He-man comics, Despara was the name Adora was known as when she was raised as Hordak's daughter. Her name is often used by Catradora fan artists and fic writers who really wanna just make Adora a hot evil lesbian, usually with a hot butch hairdo. It is likely that if/when another season of this show comes, Despara will be the main focus.
Now this raises the obvious question... how are they going to handle the She-Ra stuff. As I have made posts about before, the She-Ra rights and He-Man rights have been separate for a very long time and apparently, the last thing I heard, Mattel themselves can't use any of the She-Ra characters in animated form due to Dreamworks owning them now.
So naturally, you might be thinking that Despara here is just a placeholder because they can't use She-Ra. Except... there are a LOT of She-Ra references in this season that are way too numerous to be just references.
For example:
They recreate the exact scene from the 80s She-Ra movie where Adora is taken as a baby by Hordak in a flashback scene. They also mention Horde Prime existing as well and they EVEN imply that Shadow Weaver exists in this universe as well and Hordak's new robot second-in-command, Motherboard is a replacement for her.
So yeah, all signs SEEMINGLY point to some sort of She-Ra-inspired adaption being the next part of this show. Now, considering the very complex rights issues... I can see this going one of two ways.
Mattel and Dreamworks did a deal like the one Sony and Marvel did with Spiderman to temporarily get the She-Ra rights back for JUST this next season. Despara is revealed to be Adora and her arc will be her learning her true family AND eventually becoming She-Ra to fight Horde Prime with her brother and possibly all the other She-Ra cast are there too. This I feel like it would be the ideal solution to all of this.
2. Despara is revealed to be someone else OTHER than Adora under her helmet because her face is obviously not seen in her brief scene when she takes her helmet off. Technically, Mattel would own Despara outright and not Dreamworks and they could easily make Despara her own character. This was also how they planned to include her in the second season of CGI He-Man. HOWEVER, considering all the foreshadowing and knowing how many people working on these shows loved SPOP... I feel like it'd be really unsatisfying if it wasn't Adora under the mask, both as a fan and from a creative standpoint.
As for my personal theory of what Despara's whole deal is, I think she's ruling Etheria on the other side of the galaxy with Catra and serving personally under Horde Prime. Basically SPOP but a bad ending. The plot will be He-Man and his friends finding out about Etheria and going there to free the planet and Despara will redeem herself and she and Catra and whoever will join team good guy.
But that's just my personal theory. I really don't know what the hell is going to happen here or even IF more episodes will even be coming and I don't want to get people's hopes up. There's a reason I myself have been working on my own She-Ra and He-Man crossover extended universe stuff for the last while so, at the very least, there'd be a fanfic that would satisfy my hopes. I am prepared to be very wrong here.
But even if none of this speculation pans out, I still highly recommend this show to She-Ra fans. The second season definitely fixed the few issues I had with the first one and I hope more comes out of this version of He-Man... then again, it wouldn't be the first time a He-Man series was cancelled.
Hope you find this post informative!

I wanna know what exactly was the deal with Charlie x Megan what’s their history???? Because it’s like sister Megan said they’re close friends but the diner scene started off awkward and then Charlie is rejecting her and then teasing her and then they end up fucking??? (Is that supposed to be their first time or have they done it before) And then after Megan got shot he’s all concerned and talked about their trips for wildflowers (how adorable and wholesome is that) and then they turn out to be partners in crime??? Were they partners after the diner talk? Because why else would you be theorising about the murders. Most of this taking place just between them btw and not Lois’s perspective. What. ((((Also I’m ignoring the twist/reveal the priest/nun verse is the real verse))))
HOLY CRAP! I’m so sorry for not answering this sooner! I’ve just noticed this… 🫣
So the whole thing with Megan and Charlie was completely fiction. A dream that Lois conjured up. Lois saw Megan as a nun because in her real life, the life outside of her coma, she saw Megan as a holier-than-thou person. Someone who was perfect and could do no wrong. Lois also saw Megan as the killer because Megan “usurped” Lois (Megan’s word not mine lol) in becoming Chief of Police, thus resulting in Lois retiring. I believe Lois saw it as a way of Megan killing her. Ending her life by ending her long career.
Lois saw Charlie as the killer because she heard what he said while she was in her coma. That whole speech he gave Lois’s husband about how it would be kinder to let her go, how death can be a tool for sweet emancipation. Which Lois was very clearly insulted by, that’s why she was always so cold towards him and immediately accused him trying to literally kill her.
Why she envisioned him as a priest… I’m kinda of confused on that part. I’m guessing since she had envisioned Megan as the nun it might have made sense for her to pair them up together in her dream state. Now how does that explain all the freaky stuff they were doing, especially the priest? My theory is that since Lois could hear Dr Charlie having orgies in her room and she heard the conversation about a doctor impregnating an unconscious patient that information influenced how she/we the viewers saw Father Charlie. As a doctor there’s a code of conduct they must follow, and as a Priest there are vows they have sworn to obey. We see both versions of Charlie going against what they’re both supposed to represent.
As much as I enjoyed the reveal about Megan being the freakin’ Chief of Police and watching her become a badass, I do miss Sister Megan! And I think that Father Charlie was waaay more interesting than Dr Charlie. I was hoping that there would be a relationship between Detective Megan and Dr Charlie, but unfortunately there was not.
I hope Grotesquerie gets a second season and I hope we get some Sister Megan and Father Charlie flashbacks 🤞🏼

hiii, very sorry if this is the wrong blog to ask for something like this. my therapist has been away for a few weeks so i cant ask for help normally. we recently realized that we've developed an introject of an abuser, which is normal for our system. what's not normal is he's kind of nice, like an idealized version of this abuser, and feels like more than a fragment (usually our abuser introjects are like fragments or feel puppetted, not like real alters. he's a real guy). he hangs around the front a lot and has been passively influencing our host to engage with more media they both enjoy (but that real abuser introduced us to), but for the rest of us doing this is just bringing up bad feelings and memories associated with real abuser. we broke up barely 3 months ago so those feelings are still fresh enough that doing this often is messing with us my therapist would generally say that radically accepting this new introject is a good thing to do, and we're TRYING, but it feels like whenever we do we get sucked into flashbacks. i dont know how to balance doing things he wants and accepting him while also protecting myself/the rest of us from the pain his source causes.... is this... normal?? like, the part where this abuser introject is Nice. i've never heard or experienced them being nice before. he's not nice all the time to be fair, but he's WAY kinder than his source. if you have any tips for balancing our lives better with this type of alter advice is appreciated as well. thank you so much <3
This probably isn't going to be as detailed as we usually are because we're not having a good time with words but we wanted to try and give you an answer. Also this is like half text to speak and half typed so please excuse any weird typos
So there's two big things to address, as to the first yes it's completely normal to introject nicer or idealized versions of abusers.
There's a lot of reasons it can happen and it doesn't always happen every time or even often but its a thing. It can be due to the need to process positive experiences, the brain needing some form of familiarity and comfort, trying to recontextualize negative memories and more. There's probably as many reasons as there are introjects
In general the community doesn't like to talk about introjects of abusers, and even less so when yiu get into stuff like positive introjects so it can give the impression it never happens but it's completely normal.
Okay as for coping we're going to give a bunch of options and suggest seeing what helps you the most. We do want to emphasize that while acceptance is good, that doesn't prelude you also being hurt and upset about things. You can accept is presence while still holding space for the fact you are hurt and its difficult to have him with you
for coping with flashbacks it might help to have some kind of grounding sensory thing on hand. Something with a strong smell you like or a fidget with a lot of tactile feedback it can help bring you out of them and give you something to focus on
It might help to speak with him about the stress and flashbacks not in a "your a bad person for existing" way but as a "hey this isn't your fault but this is tough for the system and we are working on things" so he can be aware and might be able to help work with y'all
Give yourselves a huge break, your dealing with something really fucking stressful without a big part of your support network. Don't expect yourselves to be at 100% and balancing everything perfectly.
Focus on keeping yourselves feed and sleeping as well as you can, this sounds like obvious advice but its really easy to let both slip and both can lead to major mood swings and worse symptoms (this is based on both personal experience and biological science)
Try and keep communication between all of you as open as you can. Its easy to shutdown and bury feelings but it will make things harder to deal with and can lead to resentment
Above all give yourselves time and patience because this is a difficult thing to deal with and you are doing your best.

Just wanted to say I love your fma 2003 posts. While I do think the original story is more cohesive and stuff, I think that the stuff they did with the 03 show is really interesting and provides a lot of cool angles on the character. It's a completely different story after a certain point with its own merit, and I think that it gives a lot of development to the characters in fascinating ways. I feel like seeing it added depth to my appreciation of the story. There's juicy bits in there that I wish were in the original and I'm just glad they were explored and that I'm not the only one who loves it. :))
sorry i took so late to respond lol
i think the og IS a lot more cohesive and planned out, and more consistent in quality! it's just that i don't think it's much to write home about either. it's a very solid fun shounen and as long as you don't think too deep about its implications, it's definitely a lot better written than 90% of mainstream shounen. and i can see the appeal in that, i genuinely do. i don't think 03 is to everyone's taste, even outside of people for whom og fma is comfort food, for whom even a slight deviation feels Wrong because that's their emotional support anime or whatever. like, i'm a fucking dbz fan always and forever you know? i don't have room to say "why do people enjoy mangahood better, it's so much less mature than 03" bc i still get pumped and emo from super saiyan transformations. i do wish these fans at least would understand WHY one might have frustrations with the themes of the story and what it does with very serious subjects lol
i do think that 03 is its own story but i don't think it's its own story "from a certain point". yes the early anime follows a lot of the manga's story, albeit rearranging it differently. but i'd argue that it's different in essence from the very start. its tone it starkly different from the manga, which is and remains a Cool Mystery Action Shounen. fma 03 from its very first episode leans more into brooding and psychological horror territory, even outside of the extra gore. even the subtle changes it makes early in the story aren't just to change/"improve" or adapt the manga's story, but to set up what they do when 03 REALLY departs from the manga's storyline. ed and al's characters are, i'd argue, leagues away from their og counterparts by ep 10--the flashback and making them go through all that trauma at age 12 really sets up that 15 year old ed isn't a confident shitlord like he is in the og, but a deeply insecure and guilt ridden teenager forced to grow up too fast and hiding his insecurities behind a mask of confidence. al is still kind and polite, but also a lot more ruthless and even more dependent on his brother than the og one is--the sensory deprivation and dysmorphia from the armour is cutting him off from other humans than his brother, and a lot of his own doubts and anguish at his situation begin eating at him to the point that when barry throws out the "you're an artificial person" accusation, al's brain immediately latches onto it because he's been wondering if he's even human for years.
i do think 03 has pits and valleys in terms of quality--but honestly i'm fine with it (bar a few genuinely infuriating decisions such as the transmisogynist serial killer trope in ep 8), it's a 2000s anime that was insanely ambitious and butting against the author and funding, some episodes visibly have a shoestring budget and while it remains thematically consistent you can very clearly see moments/places where the production committe threw in "hey uhhhhhh put in more kimblee he's popular" or "we're not giving you more episodes sorry. wrap it all up in three". do i wish a more consistent version of the show existed, meticulously planned out and with all the time and money in the world they needed existed? yes. would that version have been perfect? not necessarily tbh!
but really, 03 has a number of strong decisions and genuinely genius twists on the og that make it very hard for me to come back to the fma manga without feeling deeply underwhelmed. i like greedling so, so much--i just don't like him enough to not feel really bitter about how lust is treated in the manga. i genuinely love the scene where ed swears he'll get al's body's back at the gate, 10/10 shounen scene--but also, there's the scene ed happily tells al that after digging up their mom's body it turns out the transmutation they did had nothing to do with their mom, and every time i'm like "this is so stupid and i wish they'd kept the failed transmutation homonculi". the absolute heights of fma as a manga never ever manage to hit nearly as strongly to me as 03's does, because og fma will always feel just..... lacking in ambition and in depth, where imo in some aspects fma 03 still hasn't been outdone. where can i find something like the 03's homonculi? how many narratives are there that celebrate a character like scar instead of playing the trope of the Well Meaning Extremist Who Kicks A Puppy? this is a real question btw send them to me immediately i need them.

Ranking LS Disasters *by personal preference
(only doing the major ones that were big and/or filled an entire episode // I didn't include the GraceJudd car accident, because I wanted to do natural disasters, but I did include 4x09 because it takes the whole episode of Marjan trying to get to safety // maybe i'll do a gigantic post of every single event later down the line)
1) Ice Storm (3x01)-The fact that this was a 4 part event (A pregnant Grace stuck in the storm, Carlos waiting for TK to wake up from a coma, Paul..it was all very good)
2) Marjan runs for her life (4x09)-such a good solo episode (mainly focussing on 1 character the entire episode can usually be a miss, but Lone Star does good in all of their character-focussed ones)
3) Dust Storm (2x14)-speaking of solo character-focussed episodes...Mateo getting his time to shine(!), but also this was a well-constructed episode and every found family based show needs an episode where the characters are split up due to unforseen circumstances out of their control, like being reassigned to different work locations. (#3 and #4 were switched originally, but I just found this episode a little more entertaining all the way through)
4) Wildfire (2x03)-They took on a big task with such a packed episode, with this being the crossover event, and with [character] death being just 1 episode before it. I like the stakes and the team moments coming together, with their own and the LA force. (we also get the mention of Mateo's LA doppelganger cousin)
5) Volcanic Eruption (2x02)-for the shock factor (+ all of the graphic gore from the opening to the episode highlight), and we get great solo character moments + support for each other at the end
6) Arsonist Fire (2x12)-We get that great tarlos plot. It feels wrong to put this above #7, because the fire's such a small part/factor to the episode, but points since there were some episode shocks and the entire arc wasn't completely predictable the way that I thought at first]
7) Tornado (1x04)-There's a sense of togetherness and feeling like a family; the disasters got better with this being so early in the show. loses points for the car between the buildings, but the story of the man with his two kids was heartbreaking, even being as stupid as he was.
8) Solar Storm (1x10)-a pretty solid plot; as an episode it fell flat in some places.. but that radiation case from space on the phonecall with Grace 😭 (this episode and the plot was flawed, but this idea was promising and I was interested to keep going into season 2, so that's why it's higher than a couple)
9) Building Explosion (3x18)-(this previous episode end leading into the big finale is purely ranked on preference) not their best disaster, and not their worst...This moment was eventful and provided some good moments for Judd/Grace and even Wyatt due to Judd being trapped in danger. This might be higher if the Judd main plot wasn't so short, although a good fake-out with a new conflict of another one of their own going down, but that Owen hallucination arc was a miss for me. The explosion itself (at the start of 4x18/end of 4x17, especially) was epic, though!
10) Plane Engine (3x08)-I really liked the response to the emergency on the plane, the father-son stuff, and the help on Tommy via phone. Episode was great; the disaster itself falls last on my ranking. It was interesting, just not that intense; this being lowest on the list is solely because there are more mishaps that ended up being more intense. Though, it was a good emotional moment. (led to the great emotional tarlos reunion, too). The parallel of the flashback to present day that led to TK confessing to Owen was beautiful!
#the latter half is ?able but i think i'm sure abt 10#911 lone star#owen strand#tk strand#carlos reyes#tarlos#mateo chavez#marjan marwani#paul strickland#judd ryder#gracejudd#grudd#wyatt harris#nancy gillian#tommy vega#911 ls

welcome back to me being pity. I don’t mind Izu///ocha* in fanon, there’s lots of cute content out there and they are adorable after all. I can’t not love them! However, when it comes to canon, and believing they have to be canon… i have issues with that. and when the justification this being a shonen manga and not focusing on love? Oh. That pisses me off.
There’s lots of shonen manga who are romantic comedies, slice of life, and in general just are about friendships and learning about feelings —but even when talking about just the typical popular shonen, this isn’t a good excuse for me.
There is no need to add 10 chapters about love in order to make it with a natural flow —small details are there for a reason! And I’m making a list of ways izu///ocha could have been developed easily without spending energy on it, using what its already in canon.
The end of the togachako fight, Himiko gets the All Might keychain, a symbol they both have shared to symbolize their crushes on Izuku and their unity in it. Instead of drawing her covering completely with her hand, show her giving it to Ochako, or already in her hand, not completely covered; this would express Himiko’s blessing and wish for Ochako to get to confess her feelings too. An “it’s your turn now, good luck!” moment. Bittersweet, tragic, but also would make it less wrong for her to say her feelings and date Izuku in the end -after all, it would be implied Himiko wanted that! But this way, covered and in Toga’s hand, the message is not clear (is she going to confess still? Or cover her feelings as they “died” with Himiko? I don’t believe she’s dead but shhhhh)
Mutual symbols. During the Christmas present exchange, they get each other’s, an All Might keychain and a bag of mochis, two things they personally like but gifted to other people, like the rest of class A. As we establish this keychain means “Deku-kun” to her and holds onto it, why not making mochis reappear more for Izuku? They are food, so he could have said “sharing mochis” as things you do with a boyfriend. Wouldn’t it be adorable he just said that without noticing that’s Ochako’s favorite thing? If we go further, maybe add a simple scene, where he thinks about how he wishes to share some with her, maybe during one of those calm moments before the war happened.
Have Izuku struggle a little when complimenting her when he thought she was talking badly about herself. If this is your crush, or person you are developing feelings for, how could you just be this confident about such embarrassing things, specially when you are already shy about love as a whole? Even him would know that’s embarrassing no matter how clueless he is for other things, so it would be better to have him struggle to say those things —looking at the floor, playing with his fingers, blushing. Typical Deku stuff, nothing new for his character, but it would confirm there’s something going on his side too that persists clearly even after the first war.
the hand holding; ochako grabbed his hand when they were bringing him back to UA and civilians were against it. It’s a way to comfort him, and tell him everything is going to be okay, he’s not alone. Even during that context, wouldn’t that be a bigger thing between crushes? After all, Deku blushed a lot in the beginning of the final war, when he was grabbed from where he was supposed to be and people he cares for are in the most dangerous situation of them all, why wouldn’t he blush if the girl he likes grabs his hand to support him?
Thinking about Himiko; a reason he could have not reacted is “well, this is the moment they are actually developing serious feelings for each other beyond a crush”. If I was writing this, I would make Ochako have flashbacks of Izuku’s terrible state during her speech —emotions getting her, she just really needs them to let him in! With his hopelessness, isolation, dirtiness and hunger! Isn’t this reason enough to get desperate for? She is screaming with all she has to please let him stay, he is just like anyone else… but thinks about Himiko instead? And not just to stop some sadness, but about making her smile (spoilers for chapter 425; instead of turning negatives into zeros, she is talking about turning negatives into positives. Saving her, and making her happy too, because there’s a need for happiness for them all, not just neutrality and pretending nothing is wrong). This decision establishes her hero arc and ideals, which is amazing! But I don’t see how this is an izu///ocha moment in canon really —just because Izuku cries, doesn’t mean this is good romance. ill never forget the little parallels Ochako has with All Might, and idk how to just let it be when ppl limit them as “her being the love interest”. No, her ideals are so cool, and I’m really hoping she achieves what she wanted for Himiko, so we can also add more angst to Izuku’s character and show her as the hero she is
*i censor it just to avoid appearing in the tags; ppl who want to find content of their ship don’t need to see what other people think of it, specially when it’s critical.

I was wondering if you could write a saiki & reader oneshot fic with a reader who has DID & C-PTSD and paranoid tendencies? I understand that that might be a bit too hard to write but just in case I got some recorces that might be handy, here is the link to DID listing from my own copy of the newest version of the DSM https://www.dropbox.com/sh/htaraej65e34tg9/AADBATmelRQFUBfTMxaJ3W6wa?dl=0 as well as this website that has a lot of good info on it https://did-research.org/ and this page I found that has a brief overview of C-PTSD https://my.clevelandclinic.org/health/diseases/24881-cptsd-complex-ptsd but I also recommend quickly reading thru the different types of flashbacks (shouldn't be that hard to find info on)
The main idea is that because of the mix dissociation, switching, paranoia, different types of flashbacks etc that the readers thoughts are very fucking confusing to saiki (feel free to use this premise for any kind of plot you want just try not to make it overly angsty is all I ask, well as un-angsty as you can get with C-PTSD anyways lol) I just wanna see more y/n / reader inserts that I can actually relate to but the saiki K fandom is so small
Can be platonic or romantic
Hi!! So sorry for the late reply, I researched as much as I could so if theres anything remotely wrong or different please tell me! Ngl, im not very sure i like how it turned out, nevertheless I hope you enjoy :))
Also i totally get that its hard finding stuff for saiki k which is the reason why i write for it in the first place, they totally deserve more recognition!! Feel free to send more requests in the future!!

Summary: Saiki was used to listening to many types of thoughts, and at one point, nothing he heard surprised him. However when you came around, he was beyond confused. What sparks as a little curiosity might turn into something more.

ღNo matter what
He was used to it, or at least that's what he used to tell himself. Throughout the years he had heard all sorts of thoughts, at one point, he learned to tune them out when need be, having listened in on weird enough ideas that now don't surprise him anymore.
When you came in the picture, he was...baffled, to say the least. Confusing wasn't even close of a word to express how he felt. Your thought process was anything but simple. At times it'd be a fuzzy mess almost as if you lost part of your memory, other times, you'd think as if you were a completely different person, contradicting many of your previous thoughts. But what disturbed him most was the series of traumatic thoughts that would cross your mind. Flashbacks he realized in that moment.
In the beginning he felt annoyed, as per usual. Often times, he'd find you in class with a dazed expression, which to be frank, he had seen enough times to not give it a second thought. But then his attention would be caught when your mind would wander and you'd start thinking in a very unusual way. They were so unlike the person you presented to be, so much so that Saiki was left perplexed and in need to understand exactly what was going on.
The more it happened the more worried he'd be. There were days where you acted a certain way, and other days where you acted completely different. He could tell you weren't being fake trying to act differently for attention, after all, your thoughts lined up with the you acted and the things you said. Rather, it was the abrupt changes in your behaviour that had him thinking for far longer than he normally would.
Along the way, he also picked up how you'd flinch if you were in sudden physical contact, the way your shoulders would tense and the way your heart beat would speed up. Saiki wasn't stupid of course, he was aware that all of this was caused by some form of trauma.
He knew not to pry, yet his heart strings pulled everytime he saw you having a bad moment. So he began to follow you, in disguise of course, and even if he seemed like a stalker, he couldn't help it. Eventually he began to connect the dots, your reactions, behaviors, everything. It made sense now.
Unconciously, his words began to soften around you, his touch became gentler, he looked out for you in ways he had never done so with others. You began to notice but in no way did you mind, if anything, Saiki was someone you took great comfort in. What started of small slowly grew into something neither of you expected.
Of course, that didn't make it any less hard for either of you. Like right now. You were laying in Saikis bed, your head resting on his shoulder as you watched a movie, when suddenly a specific scene had triggered an anxiety attack. Your mind was racing through flashbacks of the many disturbing events you had gone through. Saiki was up almost immediately, having read your mind and sensed your reaction.
His touch was soft, his hands cupping your face so gently you'd think he was scared to break you, which he was. He was in no way someone who could comfort others easily. Nevertheless he tried his best. He attempted to lower your heart rate, rubbing small circles against your back as his other hand held the back of your head. No words were needed, they never were. He had, in a way, been there for you, way before you two even became a thing, so none of this was a surprise for either of you.
That didn't ease the guilt in your heart any less. You always felt bad. You knew Saiki could read you, literally. And well, it wasn't pretty. Countless times you had attempted to push him away, yet he never budged.
"'m sorry" you mumbled against his shoulder as your rested your head on it.
He cupped your face in his hands, pulling you to look at him.
`I won't let you push me away. The things you went through won't make me see you any differently, because to me you'll still be someone I cherish'
Your eyes welled up as you looked him deep in the eyes, finding nothing but love for you. Still cupping your face, he ran his thumbs under your eyes, wiping the tears away. He leaned forward, pressing a gentle kiss to your forehead.
'I love you'
"No matter what?"
`No matter what'
