Start in your head (Yuri Plisetsky x Reader)

[Reader] looked around the rink. She had been coming here for a week in a row and these visits promised to be a new, quite interesting tradition. Partly because she enjoyed teasing Yuri on most occasions and it was an interesting new form of an old game. Whenever the boy saw that she came to stare, he immediately gave her the best kind of taunts. The day before yesterday, he even deliberately extended the training to see if the girl would leave. However, he failed to achieve the intended effect and she returned with him chattering all the way.
— What are you doing here again, you idiot?
— Nice to see you too, Plisetsky. — She grinned so widely that Yuri swore her jaw was about to stretch.
It was hard for him to admit it to himself but deep in his heart he was surprised at her behaviour. Most people hated him from the beginning (or didn't want to be friends with him after some time). He weeded out a lot of those individuals who fit into the two categories because he didn't want to associate with them. Apart from his fans and family, with whom he already had problems, he was left with only a small group of people who wanted to see him and whom he allowed to do so. And she was slowly starting to belong to that group.
— I told you not to come. — He started unlacing his skates.
— Nothing new. — She leaned against the board. — Today we're going to town.
— For what reason? — he huffed.
— They opened a Russian food stand near the park and are selling pirozhki.
This was his weak spot. [Reader] knew well how much Yuri appreciated his grandfather's delicacies.
The boy was aware that the taste probably wouldn't be as good as what he usually ate but the thought of a warm buns after training almost made his mouth water.
— Okay, let's go. — They better be edible, though — he muttered.
The walk to the park consisted mainly of [Reader's] monologue but it was nothing new. Since the ballerina arrived with Lilia Baranovskaya, he managed to say goodbye to silence for long moments.
—... and then I do a pirouette, and she says... — she stopped abruptly. — Wait a second!
The skater was about to comment on how he wouldn't freeze like a fool on the street in sub-zero temperatures when he saw where the girl had turned.
— Who is sweet and charming? Who is? You are!
[Reader] was just lifting an adorable, furry, ginger ball into the air. The kitten snuggled into her shoulder, clearly craving warmth.
At the same time, his second, less trusting companion appeared around the corner and, after sniffing the girl's shoes, he gave up her company in favour of Plistesky.
He looked a bit like Potya, so he started stroking his fluffy head without hesitation. He already missed his pet.
— I don't think they're strays — [Reader] said, examining the collar that should have a contact address on it.
Before she could add anything, a young couple with a child turned from the main street into an alley.
A little girl who was missing several baby teeth stopped shedding tears as soon as she found the kittens. As if on cue, both of them obediently jumped from the teenagers' arms and wandered over to her.
She mumbled a thank you, which her parents told her to repeat, and then disappeared.
— It's a pity. — [Reader] glanced at her now empty hands.
— It's not a pity. They found the owners.
— I know but still... — An unfinished thought hung in the air.
Without any further obstacles, they finally managed to reach the booth. The girl had to admit that it looked quite pretty in the pastel colors of the Russian flag, lit by a row of light bulbs.
While standing in line, she managed to argue with Yuri three times. The customers closest to them looked at them strangely and parents covered their children's ears. And when they reached the ordering stage, she was afraid that the seller simply wouldn't serve the two of them because his murderous look indicated exactly that. However, nothing like that happened and she received her pirozhki.
The girl sniffed it, and then reluctantly bit into her portion.
— Wow, it's sooo good! — She looked at the filling, trying to guess the composition of the it in the dim light of the lamps.
— Tch — he snorted. — My grandfather makes better ones — he said but he ate the rest of his portion.
After this trip, it turned out that it was the first but not the last.
[Reader] liked Russian food so much that she dragged the boy to the booth every day, ordering new delicacies.
The system added a new item to the menu every day and worked quite efficiently. When they were halfway through the list, one fateful afternoon occurred.
It was starting to get dark. The boy's training was almost over and the girl still hadn't shown up at the ice rink. Baranovskaya stood by the board, which never happened at this time. As usual, she was accompanied by a careful look and a frown.
Yuri drove towards her in a fluid movement.
— Was [Reader] here?
The question, short and to the point, required the same type of answer.
— NO.
— If she does show up, tell her to come to me. It's true that she took second place and she can do better but for God's sake! Instant break down? We have to fill out these papers and she disappears right after the competition. — She waved the stack of papers angrily and walked away.
The skater had no desire to return to training. He left the rink, wondering if [Reader] had told him anything about the ballet competition. However, he came to the conclusion that despite letting some information out through the other ear, he would still remember something so important.
It was hard for him to admit it to himself but the ballet mistress's words and tone worried him.
He searched the Internet for recent news. The photo in a recently published article showed the lucky winner of the gold medal. However, it was not [Reader]. He managed to find an amateur video showing the performance of the girl and her competitors.
He called her once but only silence answered on the phone.
With quiet hope in his heart, he decided to go to the park. It was a bull's-eye. It's true that the girl, although she didn't choose their usual bench, didn't really hide. Her cheeks and nose were pink from the frost, and delicate snowflakes settled on her hair. Moreover, she was bathed in the dull light of the park lamps. She would have looked beautiful if the image hadn't been spoiled by her red eyes from crying. [Reader] held the unfinished pirozhki in her hand, her eyes fixed on the dead center. She only broke out of her trance when she saw familiar shoes and their owner a few meters in front of her.
— What are you doing here, idiot? Baranovskaya is looking for you — he huffed.
— Then call her and tell her I'm here — she replied in a flat voice.
Yuri was speechless. The girl had never seemed so emotionless to him.
— I won't handle things for you, call her yourself — he provoked again.
— I'm not going anywhere. — She shrugged. — Nothing will happen if I don't sign these papers. I want to quit.
— What exactly? — He frowned.
— Ballet. — She bit into her food. — I've spent a lot of time here today thinking about it, and I think it's a pretty good idea. No more training and competitions. I will finally be able to return to normal school. Plus, seeing family every day sounds good too. I won't have to spend half my life abroad. By the way, you're a damn hypocrite. You kept saying that I was dragging you here by force and now you came of your own free will.
This was too much for the boy. Her condition, so different from what he had been accustomed to over the past weeks, was getting on his nerves. He couldn't deal with it.
— Have you gone completely crazy? — He asked in the coldest tone [Reader] had ever heard from him.
Yuri pinched the bridge of his nose, sighed, and then sat down on the bench next to her.
— I saw both performances online. You may be on a similar level but you are better than her. Just look at your fouetté at the end. Those damn judges must have been blind when they gave you half a point less.
The girl raised her head to look at his face. She had rarely seen him talk about something with such conviction. She was ashamed to admit it but she didn't suspect Yuri of ever being able to give anyone a compliment. For that reason, however, this one had a stronger effect on her than most she had heard about her dancing before.
The Yuri's green eyes seemed sincere. The decision she had made that afternoon now seemed to her like a less than fantastic vision, driven by the impulse of failure.
— I'm grateful but...
— If you think I'm just saying this because I want to comfort you, then...
— That's not what I meant — she quickly denied. — I appreciate what you said but I still need to think about whether I want to enter the next competition. Go back and tell Lilia not to worry.
— But if you do, just know that at the next competition I'm going to sit in the audience and watch you beat the crap out of all of them and...
— Yuri!
The boy rolled his eyes and stood up from the bench. [Reader] did one of the most spontaneous things she had ever done. She ran to him and placed a gentle kiss on his cheek.
— Thank you again — she whispered and returned to her seat.
The Russian smiled to himself, feeling a feeling of warmth spread throughout his body.
That night neither of them could sleep.

ok @morporkian-cryptid tagged me to do this fic author interview so here we go...
if you would like to do this, i am officially tagging you, yes you, right now. tag me back so i can see your answers
1 How many works do you have on AO3?
i got 40
2. What’s your total AO3 word count?
1,044,749
3. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
sorry like none of these are lupin iii. a blight on my lupin iii blog
Wabisabi (991 kudos) - Spirited Away. idk it's short and cute, read it
BONES OF BLACK MARROW (952 kudos) - Homestuck. the infamous cyoa cannibalism sex fic. scrolling through the things people say about it in the bookmarks is always so funny
Cum mortuis in lingua mortua (925 kudos) - Homestuck. no clue why it has so many kudos lol it was like the first long thing i've ever wrote (a whole decade ago??? jesus). it's a d&d/discworld joke
Vanitas vanitatum (914 kudos) - Homestuck. the same d&d/discworld joke except the LI is turbo depressed. notable for being the only fic i ever outlined and edited and that's why it whips
Supermassive Retinol Overdose! (677 kudos) - hey look, a lupin fic made it on here!
4. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
i do when i have something meaningful to say besides "thank you!" i don't have a lot of thoughts about my own work so therefore i tend to not respond if there's not a direct question :( my head is empty. i always respond to every single comment on the last chapter of longfics though because i'm always impressed people read that far lol. genuinely, from the bottom of my heart, thank you for reading all that
5. What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?
idk uhhhh i wrote a series once where two of the main couples break up at the end, but it wasn't really angsty
6. What’s the fic you’ve written with the happiest ending?
they all end pretty happily
7. Do you write crossovers?
if i did it was so long ago i don't remember it
8. Have you ever received hate on a fic?
no but people used to send passive aggressive hate about my art in fics once in a while. hasn't happened in like 2+ years
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
yes. every kind. EVERY KIND
10. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
a bot will sometimes scrape my high kudos homestuck fics and plant them on a junk ebook site
11. Have you ever had a fic translated?
yeah i think like 7 of them got translated into russian and do numbers on ficbook.net
12. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
in the past me and my friend would sit around a laptop and scream laugh write our way through crack fics
13. What’s your all-time favorite ship?
right now it's jiglup and fujilup
14. What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?
i finish almost all my WIPs because i'm a freak. if i don't finish a WIP it's because some dramatic life event happened. this has only occurred two times
15. What are your writing strengths?
im a funny binch
16. What are your writing weaknesses?
i don't outline or edit or re-read any of my fanfic. i just type it and then eyeball it for typos and then post it. i COULD outline and such to really make the narrative nice and tight, but i don't find it very fun to do (for fanfic) and this is like, my relaxing wind down hobby. i just wanna have fun haha. the only reason my fics like, make sense, is because i write at least one ending scene first thing and always aim for that, and also i write out of order so i kinda know the route of the story
17. What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?
it's fine if it makes sense to do it there as a narrative device
18. What was the first fandom you wrote for?
h-hetalia crack fic.....
19. What’s a fandom/ship you haven’t written for yet but want to?
once i figure out how to draw zenigata it's over for you bitches. luzeni hours on da clock
20. What’s your favorite fic you’ve written?

Some more snippets of interest and insight from Mark Darrah, from an older Mark Darrah on Games YouTube video where he was livestreaming playing Dragon Age: Origins some months ago -
Chat asked "Have you been asked about The Last Flight and your thoughts on the Griffons?". Mark replied "My thoughts on griffons? I mean, I don't think that we're gonna see griffons as things you can ride. Flying is a gameplay feature that you better be really sure about before you add it into your game. But will we see some griffons? I think probably in some form, I mean the reason to put them in the novel is to reintroduce them to the setting".
Chat discussed titans, lyrium and theories and speculation about them. Mark added "Definitely not gonna comment on any of the titan and lyrium and so on, though, I mean things can and probably will have changed since I left. I don't want to accidentally say something that ends up not being reality". A chat user asked "I thought the franchise had a roadmap or something". Mark explained that there are roadmaps, but those are definitely open for manipulation and adjustment as required by the storytelling of the game, and that this is the main reason for the unreliable narrators. It gives that flexibility as required. "You can't really believe anything any one person says, they all have their own motivations, just because someone says it doesn't make it true".
Chat asked "Are the Devs planning on doing anything more with the Keep?" Mark replied "I don't know what the current plans with the Keep are. The reason the Keep exists in DA:I is to handle the generation switch, so that's still a relevant concern, but it was maintained by a separate group, and I'm not sure that that separate group completely exists anymore. It is not an insignificant amount of work to keep the Keep up to date. I like the idea as it removes the import requirement and so on but it's certainly not free. So maybe?" He also added "What was the change to the user agreement? I know that a whole bunch of stuff from around DA:I-time needed to be updated because of changes in European privacy laws, that's why The Last Court [came to an end]".
Chat asked "Think we will ever get answers on Magic or The Maker?". Mark replied that he thinks we will get some answers on magic, or at least additional context, but on the Maker, "No, I don't think that's ever going to be answered. I think the setting's much better off with the Maker being undefined and potentially existing and potentially not existing."
Chat asked "Will we ever find out wtf lyrium ghost Leliana really is?" and Mark said "On that front, my guess is no".
Chat asked "Are the people that worked on the character and the dialogues are still working at BioWare?" Mark replied "Which character are you asking about? Because the answer's probably yes".
[source]
He also talked more generally about DA:O and the franchise in general. These bits are collected under a cut due to length -
The Orlesian voice actors in DA:O are all French. The devs did talk about the peasants having a Quebecois accent "but decided that maybe that [inaudible]". "I wouldn't say all of their accents are Parisian, they're likely in English just the accent of whatever accent the VA actually had speaking English. Sometimes people from different regions pick up accents when they're learning a different language depending on who/where they learned it from. In DA they try to use accents from actual regions". "So Tali in Mass Effect has an accent which is kind've just the accent the VA did, and the problem is that when you need to replicate that with other people it's basically impossible. So we try to avoid that because as you can imagine, that's a problem." "Yeah, ideally make your accents something that can be replicated not just 'thing voice actor made up'"
Chat said "Tali always sounds Eastern European or Russian to me". Mark replied "It is, it has a lot of Eastern European, I think the VA is actually from Eastern Europe"
"You get people that have moved around a lot, sometimes they end up with really, these weird collections of accents that just sound, you know, vaguely exotic. Which is fine, it's a real thing that happens, but it also means that it can't really be replicated by anybody else"
Chat said "The draenei in Warcraft have a similar situation. No one knows what the hell their accent is supposed to be". Mark replied "I mean if it's consistent, if they've come up with an accent that they've consistently been able to put across to all of their actors then that's great, because it doesn't need to be connected to something in the real world, because it's not in the real world, so I don't necessarily have a problem with them coming up with an accent, as long as they're able to be consistent with it"
One of the accents that he always wanted to find a use for in DA was South African. "We never actually did find out but I really like that accent"
Chat said "I used to be lost in the Deep Roads, everywhere looks the same". Mark replied "Everywhere does look the same. Which is sort've vaguely realistic, but you've gotta be able to navigate"
"Anthem's flight is really cool but ultimately I don't feel like the mission structure ever really fully took into account the fact that people had jetpacks strapped to their butts"
Chat asked if the Deep Roads were inspired by the Mines of Moria. Mark replied, "I mean, maybe, dwarves have had a pretty long established canon and DA:O is definitely trying to present the standard races with their clichés but then sort've putting a twist on them, so dwarves are hyper politicized, the elves are a race that has fallen. So yes, it's hard to imagine that there wasn't Moria inspiration there, if you're gonna have dwarves and elves in a fantasy setting Tolkien is a touchpoint"
Chat discussed dwarves dreaming and not dreaming. Mark commented "I think originally dwarves were not supposed to dream, but I think you are correct, it has been inconsistent"
Leliana is Mike Laidlaw's favorite character. On her return in DA:I if she died in DA:O, Mark commented "That is, there's definitely no question that was a 'Mike wanted Leliana in DA:I, so she survives' [thing]. I mean, the Ashes were right there, so... I guess..."
Chat asked "Have graphics engines advanced to the point in game resolution/graphics could MATCH the CGI "Sacred Ashes" trailer for a DAO Remaster?'' Mark replied "Yeah, you could probably get pretty close to the Sacred Ashes trailer these days if you were willing to spend the time on the assets"
Chat commented that Ruck was suffering and that being infected by the Blight for so long can't be good for your health. Mark commented "One of the few places where we actually paid that off"
Chat asked "I asked on Twitter if you knew why BioWare didn't commit to either an A-RPG or C-RPG design in DAII and DA:I, but then I went on vacation. Did you talk about that in another stream?" Mark replied, "The short answer is the Dragon Age has always had the unfortunate problem of being pushed to broaden its audience all the time, so in DAII-time the word 'RPG' kind've became a dirty word in the industry, so that's why DAII is quite, it's DA:O with the action cranked up to 1000." "Even before Critical Role 'RPG' was starting to pivot back. Basically as every game became an RPG, the word first became almost completely poisonous and then sort've became a fine thing to say. And now that D&D is at the most popular level it's ever been, it definitely made a difference. Skyrim made a difference as well, it was definitely not afraid to say 'RPG' out loud. When GTA and even shooters started saying about putting RPG elements in, that helped too"
Dwarves are interesting "because typically people who play dwarves always play dwarves"
"BioWare would not use any fanfiction, BioWare doesn't read any fanfiction because it's a legal minefield, or at least a lawsuit minefield." "I can tell you that companies like EA are immensely afraid of lawsuits so they do lots of things to avoid that"
Chat said "'I like the theory out there that originally if you kept the Architect alive he could have fought with you against Cory in DA:I. Was there truth to that?" Mark replied, "I don't know if that was.. it's possible because they're definitely related. It's possible that if you kept him alive there was an intention to do that. It definitely didn't survive contact with shipping the thing." When chat followed up by asking his opinion on the idea, Mark said "I mean I think it makes sense, it would have been an interesting payoff for the character if you did that, but it's a whole extra fight for what would have been a very small minority of players. It would've been a good way to take him off the table". On the small minority of players point, he elaborated "It would be people who played Awakening, which is only 35% of people who played DA:O, and finished Awakening, which would be say half that, and played DAII, so [...]. I think if we had done it it would have been more, an asset in the combat [like Zevran joining for the final battle in DAII] not 'he's gonna take him on by himself'"
"You can see why the Dragon Age team isn't super enthusiastic about Dragon Age being 'random moon in Mass Effect'" [said regarding this fan theory]
During the Broodmother fight, Mark said "this is the thing, is if you do a remaster you probably leave this bit all alone. But if you do a remake you gotta, this [would probably get/need to be] addressed"

Okay, got tagged a bit ago by @musewrangler with
20 Questions for the Writer
My ao3 is CapGirlCanuck if you want to check any of these fics out.
1. How many works do you have on Ao3?
87
2. What is your total Ao3 word count?
598, 207
3. What fandoms do you write for?
Lots. Marvel Cinematic Universe, Harry Potter, Star Wars, Narnia, and Fullmetal Alchemist are my biggest.
4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
Change My Name, 413
After All, 266
take my hand (together we walk out of hell), 266 (WIP)
From Brooklyn to Queens, 256
Sanguine Frater, 249
5. Do you respond to comments?
Yes! I confess lately it's been a struggle for reasons I'm not quite sure of, but I always reply eventually!
6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
I almost never write angsty endings, so there is little competition for Softly, Softly, Falling Slow.
7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
Hmmm, maybe Promise, one of my Christmas fics? Or possibly my Endgame fix To the End... Of Infinity.
8. Do you get hate on fics?
Um, not really. Not that I can recall.
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
Never.
10. Do you write crossovers?
I have published one—In Another Time and Place, a Narnia/Captain America crossover. I have other crossover ideas I have half-written scenes for or would love to mess with at some point.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Not to my knowledge.
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
Yep, one into Russian.
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
Nope. Though with all the contributions @novelmonger makes to much of my work, I think her name should be somewhere on most things.
14. What's your all-time favourite ship?
Oh goodness, can I say Eric/Jade my original characters? They were 'accidentally' made for each other, and I love them so much. Eric is a foot taller than her, btw.
But for fandom I'd have to say... Staron. They are the best.
Also my top brotp is probably Eric and Casey, my original characters, but in fandom... Peter and Edmund Pevensie *gets clocked by @novelmonger*
15. What's a WIP you want to finish, but doubt you ever will?
Ugh. *hides* The ones I've already started posting, I am absolutely DETERMINED to finish. But then there's all these things that I've started without publishing, that I'm beginning to be less and less sure I'll finish.
16. What are your writing strengths?
Um, dialogue, emotion, poetic stuff.
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
Plotty stuff, subtlety, people not saying what they're feeling.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?
Love it, as long as there's not so much I feel stupid. It makes the story so much realer.
19. First fandom you wrote for?
MCU, specifically Captain America.
20. Favourite fic you've written?
This is a stinking hard question to answer. But I'm going to name Peter and the Lion. With When You Love A Wild One, Sanguine Frater, and My Brother's Keeper all as high ranking possibilities.
Okay! Tagging @novelmonger @ablatheringblatherskite @clawedandcute

20 Questions for Fic Writers!
Thanks for tagging me, @calaisreno !
1.) How many works do you have on AO3?
-> 69. It's been almost two years since I entered the world of fic writing. Enjoying my time!
2.) What's your current AO3 word count?
-> 204,949.
3.) What fandoms do you write for?
-> I've written for BBC Sherlock, Sherlock Holmes - Arthur Conan Doyle, Harry Potter, Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, and Good Omens, so far.
4.) Top five fics by kudos?
-> An Old Photograph
Mysterious Cheekbones
A 'Brief' Case
We're Not a Couple!
Wounded
5.) Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
-> I respond to all the comments, sometimes to say thanks, sometimes to elaborate on something. I love responding to comments, and receiving new comments always brings me joy (obviously).
6.) What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
-> The Fall , I think. Although there are quite a few, but this one is the saddest.
7.) What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
-> I mostly write happy endings, so it was a bit difficult to choose. But I think Whisper.
8.) Do you receive hate?
-> Not hate, exactly but rude comments, sometimes. Including bots. But that's also rare.
9.) Do you write smut?
-> Yeah, sometimes. I've written porn both with and without plot. It's fun.
10.) Do you write crossovers?
-> I've written two crossovers by now. One was BBC Sherlock/Harry Potter and the other one was BBC Sherlock/Better Call Saul.
Sherlock/HP: The Hidden Side of London.
Sherlock/Better Call Saul: Better Call Sherlock.
11.) Have you ever had a fic stolen?
-> I don't think so.
12.) Have you ever had a fic translated?
-> Yes, three times. Twice in Russian and once in Chinese.
13.) Have you co-written a fic before?
-> No, I haven't.
14.) What's your all time favourite ship?
-> Sherlock Holmes/John Watson.
15.) A WIP you doubt you'll ever finish?
-> I've been meaning to complete A Fashionable Doctor for a long time, but I didn't get back to it for some reason. Not abandoning it, but yeah. It's a slice of life, fluffy fic. Alternate Universe - Different First Meeting. Pairing: Molly Hooper/Irene Adler. I will finish it, eventually.
16.) Writing strengths?
Characterisation.
Dialogue.
Realism in dark topics.
Descriptions in action packed scenes.
17.) Writing weaknesses?
I struggle to write descriptions when I have to set a scene. I'm an impatient writer, and I find it painfully boring.
Sometimes I tend not to follow the "Show, don't tell" rule. I've been trying to avoid this thing in my current WIPs, though.
I sometimes don't have the patience to write anything more than a drabble-length fic.
18.) Will you write dialogue in another language?
-> Haven't done that before, but I might, if I wanted to. Preferably in one of the 3 languages I speak.
19.) What was your first fandom?
-> BBC Sherlock. I started writing in January 2022.
20.) What's your favourite fic that you've ever written?
-> It was a tough choice between two or three works, but I'd say Superficial Wound, Deep Feelings. This is the first fic I wrote in the Victorian era style (for ACD canon fandom). Canon compliant to The Adventure of the Three Garridebs. Bittersweet ending.

20 Questions For Fic Writers
Thanks for the tag @bigalockwood!
How many works do you have on Ao3?
22
What's your total Ao3 word count?
266,115
What fandoms do you write for?
Exclusively Young Royals.
Top five fics by kudos
See You (Soon)
Where We Left Off
Please Try Again Later
Happy 18th, Crown Prince Wilhelm
The Umbrella
(I have a whole kudos spreadsheet and watching the trends is fascinating 😉)
Do you respond to comments?
Yes! Well, I try to. It sometimes gets a little bit overwhelming, especially at the beginning when there's an influx. But they're all so wonderful.
What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
I haven't written anything with an angsty ending. I don't think I have it in me 😅
(Unless you count one shots in a series, in which case it's What Am I Going To Do? But that's part of a whole universe that does have a happy ending, so I'm not counting it - although when I posted there was no promise of a continuation of the story, so it was angsty for a while).
What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
All my fics have happy endings. But I think they all feel like it's a happy ending to that particular part of their story, and will go on to be more after.
Do you get hate on fics?
I haven't as of yet. I still can't really believe that's a thing that happens.
Do you write smut?
No. And the longer I go on, the more I wonder if I should. But then again, I wrote a whole fic that was basically about hooking up without it, so maybe I'll be fine never writing it.
Craziest crossover
I've never written a crossover.
Have you ever had a fic stolen?
No.
Have you ever had a fic translated?
Yes! I had The Umbrella translated into Russian and uploaded to ficbook.
Have you ever co-written a fic before?
No.
All time favourite ship?
Wilmon.
What's a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
I have a folder full of WIP documents, most of which are just a line or a few sentences scribbled down. Some scenes, some ideas. I doubt they'll all get written, but lots get pulled for other things. And Wille's Month made me dust some of them off and either expand on them or just publish as they were.
But as for actual WIPs that I'm actively working on, I haven't got one that I don't think I'll finish. Once I start, I kind of get to the end by whatever means necessary 😅 Even if it takes me ages.
What are your writing strengths?
Erm... horrible question 😅. Dialogue? Maybe? I don't know. Someone else would have to answer that for me. I think I have a very skewed view of my own writing based on what I do and don't like doing.
What are your writing weaknesses?
Also horrible question, for very different reasons. Repetition probably. When I have something I just need to get down, I stop paying as much attention to how I'm saying things (what words I'm using, how I'm structuring sentences etc). But luckily @iwouldnevergetintofanfic is pretty good at catching it.
Thoughts on dialogue in another language?
It depends. I am not fluent, or even passable really, in any languages other than English. I'm not averse to dropping the odd word in, but in general I write the English translation (since they're speaking in Swedish anyway). I also discovered that the grammar rules are different, so ended up changing a load of stuff back to English in one fic because I wasn't sure which grammar rules to use.
First fandom you wrote in?
Young Royals.
Favourite fic you've written?
I don't know. I like certain ones for different reasons.
Where We Left Off was a massive undertaking. It's over twice as long as the next longest thing I've written (still not long by 'long fic' standards) and I was writing it for nearly a year. (And I'm not sure I'll ever write something that long again, that's not really how my brain works).
See You (Soon) was the first one where I felt like I knew what I was doing, and I think I will always be very fond of it.
I loved the process of writing Making Music, because it was a gift for a dear friend @purplehoodiesandclementines.
But I love them all in different ways 💜
No pressure tags for @unfortunate17, @enjoythesilentworld and @peakotp (and anyone else seeing this that wants to answer - I love reading these. I'll even retroactively tag you if you want!).

aaaahhhh thank you for the tag @lumiy-a <333
so let's do this
Fanfic Writer Interview!
1. How many fics do you currently have on AO3?
six :)
2. Top 5 fics by kudos:
Given the number it is, of course, most of them :D But:
The Flute
Of Custom and Flaws
The Scar in His Hand
The Truth in the Garden
Behind the Scenes
3. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
Yes, because I am so happy about them, comments are just so great to read, someone takes time to react to my crap, which I love deeply, it is so great to talk with them about their points and feelings and observations, commenters are awesome.
4. What's the fic you've written with the angstiest ending?
Is it an angsty ending, if the whole thing was angsty..? But I generally tend to search for hope..
Of those on AO3 I'd say The Flute sort of.. (rather searching some serenity in angst). But I used to have one much harsher on fanfiction.net years ago for a different fandom, even if there, too, was some very f*cked up thread of hope
5. What's the fic you've written with the happiest ending?
Of those actually finished, it may seem weird, but to me The Scar in His Hand was an ending that just made me happy and hopeful if that counts
Ok but to be fair Behind the Scenes ends with an overdose of fluff
6. Do you write crossovers?
Not really so far :/
7. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
Not really, some of my blorbos are sexually active and happily so, but it is just hinted at, I never got there
8. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
I dont really know about such occurrence :)
Wow now I'm thinking, I googled my name like everyone, but I never googled my fics :O
9. Have you ever had a fic translated?
Some years ago someone translated my fun one-shot (on fanfiction.net) into Russian and put it on some other server (they asked for consent). Meanwhile, I have deleted the fic for reasons, but the translation may be floating somewhere over the internet
10. Have you ever co-written a fic?
Yes, years ago we wrote two different fics with a real-life friend :) We used the strategy of dividing characters for each of us to write. It was great, but we did not finish either of them hehe
11. What's your all time favorite ship?
Ok I know what this blog looks like now, but to tell the truth, I started to ship Himerish/Yarr about half a year ago (it was quite some explosion, yes).
I shipped and ship a lot of pairs (and some threes), but I don't think I ever had like THE ONE
12. What's a WIP you want to finish but don't think you ever will?
Probably the LoTR fic of which I wrote just a part like in 2013, where I shipped Éeowyn and an OC dwarf-woman (I made her a daughter of Dwalin and she journeyed on her own (and without permission) to save her uncle Balin, bc they had no messages from Moria :(( but she got stuck in Rohan. It was pre-canon.)
13. What are your writing strengths?
Uhh.. ok self-appreciation time..
I dont know if mirroring yourself in characters is weakness, or strength, but it might bring some positives..? Like relatability hopefully..?
And I like to explore stuff.. imagining weird situations, overthinking headcanons to fill in the lore.. and such :)
14. What are your writing weaknesses?
Sometimes in search of vocabulary my head starts to boil, so language, English is not my first.. also I think i am sometimes too dramatic. And sometimes I have doubts if I am not talking about stuff that is too heavy and that I do not actually understand.
15. What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in fic?
So only by reading answers by previous posters I get that this means like other than the main language of the fic..? I never did that.. why not really, look I like LoTR and its linguistic variety, and I like all the weird sounds in Star Wars, and Im a nerd for all the sounds that real people make, so go for it people, it's fun
16. What's a fandom/ship you haven't written for but want to?
hmmmMMMmmmm... technically I've written for LoTR, but not enough.
17. What's your favorite fic you've written?
Ohhh... ok this is difficult.. I think I'll go sort of neutral and choose sentiment reasons, and will say my very fist fic, which I wrote in Czech, when I was about 14, it was just this silly fun about an OC in HP, red-headed girl, of course, and with some cool features like high tolerance to cold and alcohol
Ok now I should tag someone! So, I think I will tag @aniriargyle, if it's ok..? :) who writes for fandoms regrettably unknown to me, but who wrote me some really nice comments on AO3 <3

20 Questions for Fic Writers
Thank you for the tag @zsparz :3
1. How many works do you have on ao3? 13 (one's art, so really, 12)
2. What's your total ao3 word count? 111,676
3. What fandoms do you write for? The MCU and The Alienist, mainly, but right now I'm also doing a Pokemon AU.
4. Top five fics by kudos: Shoot Through the Blur and Under the Ashes (I'm On Fire), then Hot Under the Collar, Russian Dwarf Hamster Roulette, and finally (Been An Awful Good Boy) Santa Zemo.
5. Do you respond to comments? I do :3 I really appreciate comments and the fact that it takes time and effort to leave them.
6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? I don't really think I do angst??
7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? I don't really think I do happy endings?? Like, I guess I tend not to write stuff that feels like it even has a definitive ending.
8. Do you get hate on fics? Not in this fandom.
9. Do you write smut? Yes! Love to write smut.
10. Craziest crossover: I hold that my winterbaron/Lilo & Stitch crossover is very sensical.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen? Yes, although not in this fandom. I had a fic get yoinked and turned into a Tony Stark x Reader fic, and have been plagiarized numerous other times. Just not under this pen name.
12. Have you ever had a fic translated? Yes!
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before? Yes, waaay back in the day, like eight pen names ago.
14. All time favorite ship? Look, I wanna be cool and say Winterbaron or Laszky, buuuut it's Wincest. There's just something really enduring and special about Wincest and it's hard to beat.
15. What's a wip you want to finish but doubt you ever will? The third installment of Shoot Through the Blur is really hard and I'm in a weird place with writing right now (in that I can barely do it). But, never say never.
16. What are your writing strengths? I don't know my strengths, only my likes and dislikes about the writing process, and characterization is what brings me the most joy personally. Nailing a character's voice and mannerisms and making something unbelievable feel believable via the characterization. It's something I generally pay a lot of attention to.
17. What are your writing weaknesses? Plot. I'm not really a plot person; it's never the primary thing that grabs my attention, even as a reader/viewer. I'm very much a character person.
18. Thoughts on dialogue in another language? I like it, but I have strong opinions about it too, sweatdrop.
19. First fandom you wrote in? Power Rangers, when I was a little kid. I wrote my own episode in script format.
20. Favorite fic you've written? In the WB fandom, it must surely be Russian Dwarf Hamster Roulette. It was very much a fun write. (I generally judge a fic by the writing process rather than the end product. I kinda hate my own writing. I just love to do it.) I loved writing Zemo POV. Plus for some reason people were really nice about it!!
As usual I'm where memes go to die, and I think everyone's already been tagged for this!! I'm way behind :"]

𝟸 𝓂𝑜𝓃𝓉𝒽𝓈 𝓁𝒶𝓉𝑒𝓇
It had already been two years since she joined S.H.I.E.L.D., and her missions so far have been successful. At the moment she was in her office reviewing the proposal for the Insight Project, the board of Directors had rejected it. She didn’t understand the reasons. Everything seemed in order. She sincerely preferred to do that over the other missions. He knew she helped people by stopping those criminals, but that didn't mean she liked being on some missions. She preferred to do office work or go on some missions with Brock.
Despite everything, she was still checking everything related to the project. According to the manuals and protocols, everything was in order; therefore, it didn't make sense that it had been rejected... Unless it was for monetary reasons.
Fury entered the office with a folder, and without saying a single word, she turned to see it. She knew that it could only be something too important, so much so that the rest of the missions would be postponed until further notice and the personnel would participate more. She took it and began to leaf through the content, but she didn’t understand well what it meant. In truth, she began to believe that it was a joke by Nick, although she was no longer a little girl to laugh at the jokes that Nick used to make.
"An hour ago, some Russian tankers sent us these photos; I need you to analyze them; you have less than two hours; it's urgent, as it can't fall into the wrong hands," Nick ordered her.
Kathleen nodded and got to work. She also called Cameron; she would need some help. Together they managed to get the results in less time than she required, but she could not believe it. He was most likely dead; no one would resist even those conditions and probably not even the magnitude of the impact; it was the ship, but she was not so sure if he would be in there. The best thing to do was to send someone to check and, if possible, get what was left and try to recover it because if any of the enemies did it before them, they could try again to replicate the serum or use it for some experiment, and that meant more problems.
Now more questions popped into her head. How would they break the news to the world? What would happen now? Would they examine the discovery? Should she worry?
Probably, there would be a memorial or some ceremony to thank him for his service or something, she didn't even know why she was worrying about the situation, she just had to do her job.
It was three in the morning when Nick Fury's phone rang, and he immediately answered to receive the news that Captain America had been found, or at least his frozen body. Under those conditions, they could not be sure if he was alive or not, so he gave precise instructions: they had to get him out of there and take him to the S.H.I.E.L.D. facilities in New York so that the doctors could take care of him and he would be submitted to some tests before telling anyone else since he didn’t want rumors to spread to the population.
He knew who was the perfect person for what was coming, plus it would be easier to know what was really going on, although he was sure she would not give any statements to the media, so they could prepare whatever was necessary.
A few minutes later, he spoke to Kathleen to assign her to the mission, which was simple: to be present while they took the Captain out of the ice to try to read his mind and thus be able to corroborate if he was alive, as well as to be by his side during the transfer and the doctor's examination, and in case he was alive, she would have to help him adapt to the present time.
Kath's mobile phone rang, she mumbled something unintelligible, and she wanted to continue sleeping, but if Nick was talking directly to her on his personal mobile phone instead of his work one, it was really something exaggeratedly important. She moved Brock so she could answer; she had lost count of the times they had been together.
Although they weren't in a romantic relationship as they had agreed, they had repeated that night of the mission several times, sometimes at her place, sometimes at his apartment. Although neither of their feelings had changed.
Even Brock was thinking of trying to have a relationship after a while, to convince her, although first, he had to find a way to keep her safe.
She got up and dressed as quickly as possible to arrive on time as soon as she heard the news. She left a note with a vague explanation for Brock to see when he woke up; she still had to go through some documents with Fury so they wouldn't have any problems since it was something secret and no one could find out that they had found it to prevent it from falling into enemy hands.
She opened a portal to get to the place where they found him as quickly as possible. She gave the documents to the Lieutenant, they had already taken him out of the ship and were preparing everything to take him to the S.H.I.E.L.D. facilities, although Kath didn't know which ones, so she had to hurry, otherwise, she would have to give explanations to Fury.
Someone tried to stop her, but she practically threw the document Nick had given her and went up to the ship with them. She couldn't perceive much, not counting the noise of the others' minds; she had to concentrate. She couldn't have Cerebro with her; she didn't want anyone to know she had him, so she had to think of something different to see if she could catch any thoughts.
She reached over and put a hand in Steve's hair; it still had some ice in it; however, she had no idea how they had gotten it out of there, and since it wasn't completely thawed, she started to pick up some slow and vague thoughts that meant he was alive.

Any headcanons about TF2 sneezes? :⁰
Ah, yes, TF2…one of my not so secret loves! I must say, this is a fantastic ask to come back to!
Scout:
He has a pretty standard sneeze - one or two into the back of the hand.
However, covering or stifling isn’t in his vocabulary, which means that his sneezes can get pretty loud if it’s been coming for a while. He is also very vocal, no matter how much he needs to sneeze.
He’s also the kind of person that will commentate on his sneeze, both before and after.
“H-hold on, I’m gonna - HTCH’CHOO!”
“Snf! Ugh, I’ve been waitin’ for that all day.”
He’s not allergic to anything in particular, but his number one reason for sneezing is all the dust, dirt, and sand that’s kicked up during a mission.
Scout has a great sense of smell - just like his dad - so strong perfumes and spices bothers his nose more than he’d like to admit.
His sneezes become even more wet when he’s sick, which he cleans up with the bottom or collar of his shirt instead.
Because his skin is so pale, his nose and ears become dark red when he’s come down with a cold.
When it comes to other people’s sneezes, he was raised to say “bless ya” so he often does without even thinking about it.
However, it’s often followed up by teasing, especially if it’s Spy.
“Aw, gross!” is usually his go-to.
Heavy:
You would think that such a big guy would have a huge sneeze, and you may be right.
However, Heavy makes it a point to not fully sneeze any chance he can.
This leads to his sneezes usually sounding more like he’s being strangled.
He also religiously uses his handkerchief, putting it fully over his nose and turning away before every sneeze.
After he’s finished, he blesses himself in Russian while he blows his nose.
Heavy only has one allergy, and it’s quite a strange one: ladybugs.
Luckily, with how hot it is, ladybug sightings are few and far between.
But Medic using ladybug serum for tear gas had some…not so great results for Heavy, who is often in the lab.
Because Heavy takes good care of himself, sickness is rare. When he does catch a cold, though, his sneezes grow more and more desperate and messy.
Even still, no merc has ever seen him sneeze without pinching his nose or his handkerchief firmly over his nostrils.
This means it takes him a bit longer to recover than most, as he doesn’t allow himself to release the illness.
When other people sneeze, he’ll quickly bless them. After learning more about his comrades, he has also taken to blessing them in their native languages.
He is also the mercs main caretaker, always noticing sickness first and helping the person get better. He gets almost comically fussy, worrying about the the sick merc like a mother hen.
It is also one of the many times Heavy likes to cook for the mercs, usually a hearty stew with small, round, flat “cakes”.
Soldier:
This man SCREAMS his sneezes. You can hear his nose from across the base.
However, he at least tries to sneeze in the crook of his elbow…sometimes.
He only uses tissues if he’s congested, and he never has any on-hand.
He usually wipes his nose on the back of his hand, especially on the field. However, he refuses to wipe it on his uniform - something about “wiping his nose on America”?
His biggest allergy is pollen. Growing up around a power plant doesn’t give you a whole lot of opportunities for your body to accumulate to nature. Luckily, not much blooms near the base.
However, the occasional dandelion seed or cut flowers will send him sniffling.
It’s not too difficult to tell when Soldier is getting sick - unlike his normal, unnecessarily loud sneezes, his sick sneezes are pretty quiet, but still just as harsh.
This leads most of the mercs to believe that him sneezing loudly is on purpose - honestly, it wouldn’t surprise them, since Soldier is booming in every other aspect.
His nose gets less red than the paler mercs, but it does get very swollen and painful. Not to mention extremely congested.
When other people sneeze, instead of saying the normal “bless you,” he’ll say, “God bless America!” Eh, close enough.
He refers to any time one of the mercs are sick as “sick leave” or “shore leave”.
He also has to be kept from using different “army remedies” on the sick merc - one of which is covering the chest with peanut butter and lighting it on fire.
Demo:
Due to his almost continuous drunkenness, Demo’s nose is pretty sensitive.
It tingles and buzzes when he’s tipsy, meaning that anything can set him off.
He has loud, rough sneezes, and they get louder the more alcohol is in his system.
It’s also very clear when he’s about to sneeze, as he usually has to focus all of his energy on getting it out.
A lot of mercs tease him about this, even to the point of him losing the sneeze entirely.
When he does sneeze, he uses the back of his hand to cover (as best he can), and a rag in his pocket to blow his nose.
He doesn’t have any allergies, but his nose is generally sensitive because of the alcohol he drinks.
When he catches a cold, his face becomes even more swollen the usual, and his sneezes are more forthcoming.
If he’s drunk and sick, which is usually the case, he sneezes CONSTANTLY. Anything from gunpowder to rubbing alcohol to dirt to sunlight can render him a sneezy mess.
If one of the mercs sneeze, he usually says, “gesundheit” or “dia leat.” If someone sneezes more than twice, it’s usually accompanied with, “Don’t blow yer head off!”
If anyone comes down with a cold, you better bet that Demo will give you some good scrumpy - even against Medic’s orders.
Sniper:
Sniper has mastered the art of stifling, even to the point where his unstifled sneezes are rarely ever vocal.
If he’s trying to hold back, his sneezes are completely silent.
He usually sneezes into the crook of his arm, especially when he’s on the field and that’s the closest part of the body to his face when he’s holding a rifle.
When he’s not working, he’ll often dip the front of his hat down with every sneeze, turning away if necessary.
He also grits his teeth, making a harsh “CHHH!” sound.
He doesn’t have any allergies, but he does have a photic sneeze response, which is one of the reasons he wears a large-brimmed hat and dark sunglasses.
When he’s ill - which is pretty rare - his nostrils are so slender that, though he can stifle his sneezes pretty easily, he sniffles relentlessly.
This means that his nose is often irritated and red if he catches a cold, both from rubbing it with his finger and the tissues he keeps on hand.
When someone sneezes around him, he’s usually in the chorus of “bless yous”. He doesn’t usually pay too much attention unless it sounds like someone is getting sick.
Since Sniper hates catching colds, or any other illness, he avoids sick mercs like the literal plague. He has been known to take revenge on people he suspects had gotten him sick.
Medic:
Medic, for all his terrifying traits, has an almost comical sneeze.
It’s higher pitched, and usually come in multiples, each one getting higher than the last.
Heavy teases him for it often, but only good-naturedly as he offers him a handkerchief.
Medic himself keeps tissues in his pockets, but often forgets to replace them, meaning that he usually just has a pocket full of used ones.
If he doesn’t have a tissue, the crook of his arm works just fine. Or inside of a surgical mask.
He has a ferocious allergy to cats - one of the many reasons he doesn’t like them - and just being near one will cause several sneezing fits. When Scout found a stray kitten and decided to keep it in the lab, you can guess how well that went.
Medic gets sick every year along with the rest of the mercs (the yearly “Merc Flu” as they call it), and would usually ignore his symptoms.
However, it’s gotten to the point where he takes sick days immediately - not because he isn’t willing to risk his health, but because Heavy would throttle him.
He gets very, very red in the cheeks, ears, and nose when he’s sick, and it’s one of the only times he wears a mask.
When someone else sneezes, he usually says, “gesundheit” or “salut”. He can also usually tell with one sneeze whether or not they need to stop by the lab.
When mercs are sick, they are usually sent to the lab to quarantine, sleeping on a cot in the sick bay. Medic will usually take up his knitting hobby or read so that he won’t wake them up with experiments, and they’ll be available if needed.
Pyro:
Because of the mask they wear, Pyro doesn’t sneeze very often.
But whether a bit of hair tickles their nostrils or a speck of dust makes it through their mask, when they sneeze, it’s a doozy.
It’s very loud, very wet, and very messy.
They usually have to take their mask off to clean afterwards.
However, most of the time, things like allergies don’t bother them, as the mask protects them from most pathogens.
This also goes for illnesses - most of the time. On the off-chance that Pyro does get sick, there is an entire protocol dedicated to such an event.
Pyro will stay in their room, not the sick bay. No one will come in, as they are likely to be unmasked. A whole week will be set aside for their recovery.
When someone else sneezes, Pyro mumbled their blessings. Or, well, something. No one is quite sure what they say after someone sneezes.
Because of their mask, they are very handy in the lab with Medic if someone is ill. However, they never take direct care of a patient - imagine looking up and seeing a gas mask stare back at you!
Engineer:
His sneezes are very vocal, both before, during, and after.
Before a sneeze, even if he’s alone, he’ll say, “‘Scuse me-!”
Even though he isn’t particularly loud, Engie’s sneezes are very distinct, with a jump near the end: “hhhh’tchIEW!”
And afterwards, he’ll usually say, “Phew!” or “Sorry ‘bout that.”
Because he’s worked in dusty, dark, and musty places all his life, Engie doesn’t have any major allergies.
The closest thing is when he sneezes after opening a new bottle of oil or any other strong-smelling chemical.
However, he does get sick just as much as the rest of the mercs, if not more.
The reason is that he’s one of the more willing people to get near sick people, especially if they need his help.
One day he helps Scout get to the sick bay, the next, he’s sniffling and sneezing in the cot next to him!
He always blesses people when they sneeze. He usually has the loudest, “Bless ya!” out of everyone.
And if anyone is sick, he’d take the shirt off his back just so they could use it as a handkerchief. Is it any wonder he’s usually one of the first people sick?
Spy:
Like Sniper, Spy is a master stifler. If you aren’t paying close attention to him, you might wonder if he ever sneezes at all.
He usually grimaces, wrinkles his nose, and squeezes his eyes shut, only moving slightly.
He also always keeps a handkerchief handy in case he needs to get rid of any evidence.
Spy, like his son, has a fantastic sense of smell. This is useful in espionage, but terrible for allergies.
If a perfume is too strong, a wine too potent, a powder too fine, he’ll have a very quick reaction.
But, due to his extensive training and experience, he is very good at hiding this fact.
Almost like a pet bird, Medic needs to keep a special eye on Spy when it comes to illness.
The details of his sickness are so minute that most won’t even notice - a slight nasal tone, fatigue, harsh swallowing. His sneezes are still controlled as ever, but his face becomes more and more pained after each one.
Usually it’s Engineer who will delicately suggest - or even deceive - that Spy take a day off. However, instead of the sick bay, Spy will spend it in his smoking room, wearing a robe and listening to old records.
Spy usually says “salut” if no one else is there to say bless you, but only out of politeness. If it’s Scout or Demo, this might be followed up with, “Disgusting.”
If he has an inkling that someone is sick, he will stay as far away from them as possible. He abhors getting sick, and will take any measures necessary to stay healthy.
However, he has been known to go into the sick bay with a cup of chamomile tea after a merc has been coughing or sneezing, hand it to them, and say, “Now please. Shut up.” However, this is the extent of his kindness

Twenty Questions for Fic Writers!
tagged by @rongzhi, thank you!
1. How many works do you have on AO3? A cool 137 works! I have about 80 more on my ff.net account.
2. What's your total AO3 word count? 1,614,083 yoooo
3. What fandoms do you write for? I write for a lot of different fandom because I like to write one or two pieces for every show/movie/manga/anime I enjoy. These days it's mainly BLs and Naruto.
4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
Flip the Coin, Naruto. 37 chapters - 329,138 words - 9,296 kudos
We'll Make a Home out of it (Brother to You Part 1), Naruto. 5 chapters - 20,825 words - 5,808 kudos
Ajar Hearts, MDZS. One shot - 7,421 words - 5,006 kudos
You Were Born Today (I'm Grateful) (Brother to You Part 2), Naruto. 7 chapters - 25,934 words - 4,596 kudos
It Takes a Village (To Make a Village) (Brother to You Part 3), Naruto. 7 chapters - 55,154 words - 4,557 kudos
5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not? I do respond to every comments or close to it, usually with a few days/weeks delay. I like to get replies to comments, so I give them out too. Usually the reply matches the length of the comment. I like this link with the readers and I want them to know I'm out there haha.
6. What is a fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? Probably These Violent Delights Have Violent Ends since it's a Malec Romeo & Juliet AU... Slightly different ending but still terrible.
7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? Most of my fics have happy endings since they're just one shot of people being happy after all the angst. But I guess it would be Ending, Beginning since the whole point is to write my ideal happy Naruto epilogue.
8. Do you get hate on fics? Not consistently. I've had a few repeated offenders on Naruto fics and the occasional not very polite comment, but nothing major.
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind? Not at all, I never have. It usually fades to black, or it's very tame. Like sex does happen in some of my fics but it's never explicit.
10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written? The only proper crossover I did was Stranger Things x X-Men with Eleven attending the Institute.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen? I have, someone started to post Flip the Coin on ff.net at some point without mentioning me anywhere. Was warned by a reader. There is also an audio version of it in spanish on youtube for some reason, I never went to the bottom of that...
12. Have you ever had a fic translated? Yes, a few! Mostly some Malec stuff in Russian, and some Spanish too. And I translated some of my own fics myself between French and English.
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before? No, never. Did some RP though does it count.
14. What's your all-time favorite ship? The ship of my heart is Naruto n Sasuke 4ever, otherwise my faves vary.
15. What's a wip you want to finish, but doubt you ever will? The one I'm most torn over is Start Digging because I was really into it and had quite a bunch planned, but the fandom deserted my heart for some reason. If I get back into MHA I might pick it up, but so much happened since then... Otherwise I don't write a lot of multi-chaptered fics and I tend to write one shots in one go and post them immediately so I don't have that many WIPs.
16. What are your writing strengths? Big Feels I think? And emotional dialogues. That's what I enjoy anyway.
17. What are your writing weaknesses? Fight scenes because I hate them. And also I feel like my vocabulary is not very varied since English is not my first language, sometimes I have the impression that I use the same words ten times in one fic...
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic? I do it if the other is not supposed to understand it, I like it. But I only ever did it with language I had a grasp on, it would feel strange to just google trad some stuff. If I can't and it's not that relevant I would just put "they said something in that language" or something like that.
19. First fandom you wrote for? Weirdly enough it was the manga/anime Get Backers. I went on a deep dive in search of this fic since I deleted it from my ff.net account a long time ago, and thus abandoned this post for several days, but I can't find it sadly. It was a self-insert.
20. Favorite fic you've written? I like my work a lot and reread it frequently. The ones I enjoy the most vary with time, but I have to say Flip the Coin for the sheer size and work that went into it and the audience it got. A true accomplishment in my book :)
Tagging @convenientalias, @morathicain and all the writers passing by :)

20 Questions for fic Writers!
Thank you to @spotsandsocks for the tag and I see @pirrusstuff just got me while I finishing up with this. :)
How many works do you have on AO3?
Over 100
2. What’s your total AO3 word count?
1,362,622 on Ao3
Another million on ff.net that not on Ao3.
3. What fandoms do you write for?
9-1-1/Buddie at the moment.
But in the past: ER, CSI, H50, SGA, Daredevil Huh. I see a pattern :-P
4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
Most are from older fandom:
Most kudos in 9-1-1/buddie : Alone In The Dark With You 888
Beneath the Trident 2k+ H50/McDanno
Reluctant Allies (Or the Time Frank Had to Bring Home the Devil) 1.1k Daredevil
Shadowboxing 1.1k Captain America & Daredevil
Navigating Domesticity 1k H50/McDanno
The Space Between Us 1k H50/McDanno
5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
Most of the time. There have been sporadic tines when I haven't but I try to be consistent. It can be a little harder to respond to comments on older fic, but I read and appreciate every one .
6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
Hmm. All my fc have happy endings. I feel like that's the big payoff. There are a few that end on happy notes after a ton of angst.
The Hoku was a very dark post apocalyptic fic. H50/McDanno
bro·ken Buddie/ 9-1-1 ends on healing, happy note, but it was a pretty big angst fest.
7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
I have no idea :-P
8. Do you get hate on fics?
I used to get some pretty serious unwarranted critique in other fandoms, but not the current one.
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
I do. Not a ton, but if the story calls for it, I follow the Muse.
10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?
The Killing Game
A Daredevil, The Punisher, Jessica Jones crossover with The Predator.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
A few times.
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
Russian and Chinese.
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
In the SGA fandom I had a wonderful co-writer everybetty on some pretty huge epics.
14. What’s your all time favorite ship?
I really do love Buddie. Followed by McDanno.
15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
I don’t have any WIPs except the current one. I have an idea that I have outlined and have talked about in the past. My epic Sci-Fi of doom. But the Mafia AU which took me a long time to write and I don't have the motivation to write anything that will take me months again.
16. What are your writing strengths?
Immersing the reader in the scene. Writing detail in a concise matter. Research. Action scenes. Gritter topics that don’t get glossed over.
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
I have a mild form of dyslexia which means I write weird sentence structure and a ton of homophones that my amazing beta fixes :)
It also takes me a long time to write, but I'm also in my 40's and I'm don't have a lot of writing time. Which is also the reason it takes me a while to read longer stories.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?
Very, very sparingly and if only, it makes an impact in the scene.
19. First fandom you wrote for?
X-files
20. Favorite fic you’ve written?
We Found Each Other (Over There)
my 9-1-1/ Buddie epic WWII AU. I feel like it's my best work.
Just tagging a few who might want to play: @mellaithwen @renecdote @homerforsure @eddiebabygirldiaz @andavs @spaceprincessem @wildlife4life

20 questions for fic writer
I was tagged by @naamah-beherit! thanks for the tag, this one was fun!
1. how many works do you have on ao3? 8
2. what’s your total ao3 word count? 897,063 lol
3. what fandoms do you write for? Posted Labyrinth, Star Wars, MDZS & TGCF, and written but not posted for Star Trek, Marvel, SVSSS & Trigun
4. what are your top five fics by kudos? #1: Just say yes (MDZS / Kudos: 10,035) #2: Just say there's nothing holding you back (MDZS / Kudos: 6,024) #3: Sigh No More (Star Wars / Kudos: 5,546) #4: I’m aching and I know you are too (MDZS / Kudos: 4,481) #5: ’Til our compass stands still (TGCF / Kudos: 3,962)
5. do you respond to comments? I do try to as much as I can when posting a fic, but after I've finished fics unless I have something to add or a comment particularly moved me, I tend not to due to it being a little time consuming and repetitive to work through--though all are loved and appreciated beyond words!!
6. what’s the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? None of them lol. Look upon my collection of fix-it fics and weep (at their fluffy endings)
7. what’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? Again, all of them, but I think ’Til our compass stands still is the one that makes me smile the most.
8. do you get hate on fics? I have gotten a couple of odd comments, but is very rare.
9. do you write smut? if so, what kind? Oh yeah. The smutty kind? Whatever takes my fancy really, I've posted a lot of my soft shit, but there's definitely some darker/kinkier stuff in the old WIP pile.
10. do you write crossovers? what’s the craziest one you’ve written? Not really one for crossovers, only one I started was for Star Wars/MDZS that I will likely never finish.
11. have you ever had a fic stolen? Good old Sigh No More was one of those fics that was being sold on Amazon amongst a number of other folks fics.
12. have you ever had a fic translated? Yes! My series Just Say Yes has been translated to Russian.
13. have you ever co-written a fic before? No, I have not.
14. what’s your all-time favorite ship? Boy that's a hard one. Probably K/S. They the OG for good reason.
15. what’s a WIP you want to finish, but doubt you ever will? Honestly, if I actually want to finish it, I will make it happen. I also don't start posting until I am sure I have the whole thing plotted out and can finish it. I have a lot of WIPs, but many are little disconnected scenes I like to play with like Barbies that don't really have Plot and I don't really intend to finish. I suppose if the Wangxian brain took me again, I'd like to finish the WIP titled 'Canon Typical Dubious Consent' fic, but it's a huge mess and would need a lot more coherency to it.
16. what are your writing strengths? I think I'm pretty good with dialogue, character, and plot.
17. what are your writing weaknesses? The bits in between those things, descriptions and such. I also have a penchant for reusing words a lot and repeating myself, though I do try to clean that up in edits lol
18. thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic? If it's there for a reason I don't see why not, but I also likely wouldn't do so mainly because I'm not particularly fluent in anything other than English and would worry too much about fucking it up.
19. first fandom you wrote for? Labyrinth on ff.net a thousand years ago
20. favorite fic you’ve ever written? Definitely ’Til our compass stands still, that one is my Baby.
I'm tagging whoever feels like doing it!

20 questions for fic writers!
Thanks for the retro-tag @phdmama and because I'm friends with @sassy-cissa!
It's all under the cut! Note: Assume all fics are Drarry unless otherwise noted.
How many works do you have on AO3? 60 including 1 under Anon.
What's your total AO3 Word Count? ~1.6M (552K of that is one fic. LOL)
What fandoms do you write for? Harry Potter and only Harry Potter
What are your top 5 fics by Kudos? Survival of the Species (47K) Jolene (21.5K) Double Edged Sword (552K) This Ain't the Garden of Eden (131K) Jolene Deux (5K)
Do you respond to comments? Why or why not? Yes, though I missed quite a few when I was on hiatus. I love engaging with readers and seeing what in my stories struck their fancy. I've made some great friends over the years through comments on my fic.
What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? There are No Innocent Vampires (31K). This is a Scarry fic (both are adults). I do have a few others.
What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? Uh, most of them. But if forced to choose, Silver and Gold (70.6K) with Wolf!Draco!
Do you get hate on fics? OMG Yes. My first fic, Double Edged Sword in its earliest chapters was sporked on Deleterius. It’s a wonder I ever wrote again, but I was so pissed off at the Drarry writer who did it, I carried on. Thankfully the site went bye bye. And I also learned from that fic never ever have either Harry or Draco have an affair with Charlie Weasley. LOL. More currently, I just had to lock my current WIP this week because of a troll. ☹
Do you write smut? If so, what kind? I write both slash and het but it's not my fav thing to do. I only put it in when it fits a scene and it can take me days and days to write that scene.
Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written? No
Have you ever had a fic stolen? Yes, twice. Doubled Edged Sword was brought over to FFN and Survival of the Species brought over to adultfanfiction. The latter was quite funny because someone opened an account using my name to post it.
Have you ever had a fic translated? Yes but now I'm sad. Almost all of my translated fics are gone. *sobs* The sites they were posted on no longer exist. However, my fav translations were done by Pescadora and her team at Intruders Slashzine. They translated the following in Spanish. And they're beautiful. *happy sigh* Jolene Jolene Deux Silver and Gold
Have you ever co-written a fic before? Yes, me and 9 of my friends…I think we’re still friends. *just kidding* We each wrote a chapter for this story. If you like Case Fic and haven’t read it, give it a shot. Level Two: Series One
What’s your all-time favourite ship? Drarry but I do write for other ships both slash and het and also Gen. I mainly read Drarry but also the others mentioned. I just really enjoy good plotty HP stories.
What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will? After I finish my current WIP, The Azkaban Letters, (Drarry and Haphne) that I started in 2007, and finish another one I also started in 2007 at Christmas, I’ll be done with all WIPs I’ve posted on AO3. I do have a few in my personal files. One, which I have 30K written for and it’s Scarry. It's the Scarry one I have my doubts about.
What are your writing strengths? Plot and world building. Some folks like my dialogue. I try.
What are your writing weaknesses? Well besides the smut already mentioned, character analysis and slow burn. Definitely more of action/adventure writer.
Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic? No no no. Did it once for Double Edged Sword. It was in Russian for which I had a translator or 3 write out the text for me and give me final approval. To this day I still get Russian readers disagreeing with the text.
First fandom you wrote for? Harry Potter and still here.
Favourite fic you’ve written? This is hard, but for personal reasons, I’d have to say This Ain’t the Garden of Eden. It was the first story I wrote after an almost ten-year break. I had to shut down my muse back then almost overnight, and I wasn’t sure it could be revived. I'm tagging any other writer who wants to join the fun! Free Tag!

20 questions for fic writers
Thank you for tagging me <3
How many works do you have on ao3?
69 lmaooo
what’s your total ao3 word count?
407,178 which is. A lot
What fandoms do you write for?
My current main fandoms are DC comics and marvel comics, but I've also been writing a lil btvs. Historically I've written a fuckton of Harry Potter, The Witcher (TV), a decent amount of leverage and daredevil (TV), the raven cycle, all for the game, and a few other fics in some random fandoms
What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
before we get married, I need to get permission from batman; hang on til the chaos is through; in which an entire university becomes far too involved in Pankratz and Vengerberg's love life; This is all just HR paperwork waiting to happen; and The Sound Of My Own Voice (Asking You To Stay)
Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
I respond to every single comment, with exactly one exception, that absolutely haunts me. The person just kept replying to me no matter what I said and I couldn't make them stop
What is a fic you wrote with the angstiest ending
Mornings, for sure. One of my first ever spideypool fics back from 2016. Peter dies at the end. know we're not together (but I won't forget you) is a close second though
What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
Oh I don't know, I have a lot of happy endings but they usually follow a fuckton of angst. Maybe in which the daily planet staff are 100% convinced that the kent-lanes are fucking superman, but I wouldn't call that a traditional ending
Do you get hate on fics?
Nah, although I've had some unnecessarily harsh public bookmarks
Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
Oh yeah. My first ever smut sucked but then I wrote so much in 2021 for the witcher that I actually got pretty good at it, or at least as mlm sex. I have some body dysmorphia issues around vaginas and I never feel like I write that well. Anyway I tend to go for excessively sweet or incredibly kinky and borderline unhealthy fics
Do you write crossovers?
Only the buffy/jason fic, unless you count daredevil tv and marvel comics or itsv and marvel comics to be crossovers
Have you ever had a fic stolen?
not as far as I know
Have you ever had a fic translated?
Yes!! It's incomplete unlike the original fic but someone translated most of I'm a mess (but I'm the mess that you wanted) into Russian. This wasn't the question but @flowerparrish also podficced the first chapter of my jaybuffy fic!!
Have you ever co-written a fic before?
Yes but I removed it from my page following an extremely brutal and somewhat traumatizing fight with some of the people I was cowriting it with
What’s your all-time favorite ship?
Mmmm I don't know, that's a good question. For a long time I would've answered jily. Spideypool is probably the main contender now, although spuffy could give it a run for its money - despite the fact that I've only written one fic for them (and implied them in my jaybuffy fic), I've adored them since I was 13, which is. Over 12 years ago fuck
What’s a wip you want to finish, but doubt you ever will?
Mmm I'm always hoping I'll finish my wips, but the ones I doubt the most are my yennskier fic (no progress in over a year), my literati fic (although I did make some progress about a month ago), and I don't plan on going back to my drarry Hogwarts professor au for obvious reasons
Edit: OH ALSO the Witcher s2 outsider pov is never ever getting finished I'm sorry I know I promised it to a lot of people in the comments but it's not gonna happen
What are your writing strengths?
Dialogue and characterizations imo
What are your writing weaknesses?
Descriptions my fucking God I struggle so much with them
Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?
I'm fluent in Hebrew and my first ever fic was in Hebrew, so if that came up I'd feel pretty comfortable with it. Anything else I'd have to approach someone who spoke the language, and I'd rather just write it in English and say it was in the other languages
First fandom you wrote for?
Harry Potter and again, it was in Hebrew. I recently described what it was about to a group of friends who called it, and I quote, "adorable". I was ten or eleven at the time and I do not plan on reposting it.
Favorite fic you’ve written?
That's a toughie. I think probably I'm a mess (but I'm the mess that you wanted), but Under the Pink Hood, Of Three Times Lily Evans Changed Her Mind About James Potter, and know we're not together (but I won't forget you) are all honorable mentions
I'm not a tagger - I usually don't even participate in these kinds of posts - but I guess @not-the-blue @supergirlboy @penny-anna and any other mutual or even follower are invited to participate if you wanna
