you were sitting on a swing on the beach waiting for lando to come back. it had been a few months since you and him started hanging out and became friends.

it wasnt surprising when you, along the way of you guys becoming close, started catching feelings for him. you were captivated by his charms, his beautiful and flirtatious personality, and those eyes that hold a million stars.

"y/n?" you hear a voice call out from behind you.

"yes, lan?" you respond back using his nickname.

"i got us some juice. they said these two were the top sellers." he hands you one as he sits down.

"oooo these look good. what flavour is this one?" you ask him waiting to take a sip.

"i think that ones called 'golden sun', it has pineapple, orange, and mango im pretty sure." he answers.

you take a sip from your juice and you were met with a wonderful taste. sweet and sour, but savory as well.

"is it good?" he asks as you eagerly nod your head.

"of course!! you can never go wrong with mango." you answer taking another sip from your juice, "whats yours called?"

"mines called 'starfish dreams', i think it has strawberry, kiwi, peach, and pineapple. not quite sure, but its good. sweet with a hint of sourness." he answers, "wanna try mine?"

"yes!! that sounds equally as good! you can try mine as well." he was ready to give you his cup and you suddenly had an idea.

you grabbed his and gave him yours and then you grabbed his arm making him give you a confused look until he realized what you were doing.

"ohhhh..." he sighs in relief, "i thought i did something wrong for a second."

you laugh out loud at the thought of him being concerned for a second.

"no, no, i just need a nice pic for the gram since you took all of the ones i was gonna post." you give him a side eye as you take out your phone for a picture.

"you snooze you lose." he sticks his tongue out at you, to which you do back.

after you snapped a couple photos, you guys go back to having a conversation about how pretty the view was at night.

"it was really nice of you to invite me here." you say to him as he looks at you.

"im glad i grew the balls to ask you to hangout with me when nobody was willing to," he chuckles, "i wouldve been alone today."

"oh so basically what youre saying is that i was the last option?" you joke around waiting for his response.

"no, no, no...not like that. more like you were the scariest option on the list." he says as you give him a look.

"how? im not that scary looking...right?" you ask him as he violently shakes his head.

"obviously not...i meant–ughhh...what i meant was you were only the scariest option on the list because i was afraid youd reject me." he spews out.

"reject you? why would you think that?" you give him a more confused look.

"because compared to me, i am definitely way out of your league," you look at him in the eyes as he looks away, "youre just too beautiful, refreshing, fun to be around, and youre just so charming. after our first lunch together, i kept thinking about you and how it was impossible to love somebody at first sight, but it was definitely possible and im the living proof of it."

"is this you confessing your love for me, norris?" you ask him as he finally looks into your eyes.

"yeah...i guess it is." he looks at your face for any sort of reaction, but all you did was look into his eyes which made him nervous.

all the nervousness he had were washed away from his body in seconds after you leaned in and gave him a kiss, to which he reciprocated.

"i feel the exact same way, lan." you give him a smile as you give him another kiss.

both of you guys spent your night at the swing looking at the stars, talking about random things that you both were interested in, and getting in the water for a little swim; soaking in each others love for one another.

Please never play Garten of Banban again

i dont know if i will. i love looking at popular things, especially if they're related to horror, because i'm really curious about what it is that makes things accessible on a wider scale. after playing 4 garten of banbans i can say its not any deeper than bright and simplistic monsters appearing in youtube content kids & teens watch. if you look at feenaf, or baldi, there's more there than just their aesthetic, both in terms of gameplay/design and the reasons they exist in the first place.

i try hard to give games i stream the benefit of the doubt and not bad mouth them too much. i dont care about bad mouthing things, i think a lot of things suck and will voice that whenever i want, but doing it for hours in front of 1000+ people can easily snowball into a really putrid energy. so its partially because of that. but also because i know making anything is hard. so on stream i probably appear very charitable when playing these kinds of games but ill always give my honest opinion at the end.

and with garten of banban it was that with each iteration it becomes more and more clear that each game exists only to lead into the existence of another. in a way that, with each iteration, becomes more and more disengaging because of how obvious it is. im not gonna shit on people getting that bag, ride the wave if it comes you gotta pay the bills (also who tf is buying these games?? it aint kids, my laptop could barely run the game and they're just gonna watch markiplier play it), but after the 4th game ending exactly where i thought it would and greeting me with a screen telling me to buy not the 5th but the 6th garten of banban was just whatever straw i needed to just not even be curious anymore.

like in a way the games broke my curiosity, and ive always prided myself on going from being very cynical and negative towards anything popular in my early 20s to having some kind of curious optimism as i've gotten older. so for it to break that is honestly super sad but also a wild feat. the progression of the garten of banban games has made me more cynical about art as consumer product than any amount of call of duty games i think because of the audience, the scale & the rapidity of it all

What are the heroes opinions on No Scrubs music? And are there certain songs that some of the pros empathize more with?

Been pretty curious about this since Erasure and the Detective talked about how there are plenty of off duty pro's in the crowd of a No Scrubs concert.

Ahaha should I just go down the list? Tbh idk if I'll ever get to most of these reactions so it's a good thing this was asked haha

Echo: Biggest stan. He can do no wrong. She was shocked to hear he's Dabi, but also loves the more chaotic No Scrubs songs (I Write Sins not Tragedies, But it's Better if you Do, Jesus of Suburbia etc) and is like, nahh that checks out. Her favorite album is "Good News for People Who Love Bad News".

All Might: listens to them during his hospital stay bc Naomasa recommended it to him (the troll lol). He loves them on first listen, bc he really digs american alternative music and is shocked he's only first hearing them now. His favorite album is Death Before Decaf by a landslide. He worries about his Satoru-shounen, bc some of these songs deal with a lot of trauma. Also is like... wait a minute Semi-Charmed Life is my favorite song and why is it about crystal-meth??? Satoru-shounen?!

Eraserhead: thinks "... this guy has a lot of songs about women, for a guy who historically has never slept with a single woman." His favorite songs are 'This Ain't a Scene it's an arms race' and 'Sugar we're going down', bc he appreciates the irony of some of the lyrics

Present Mic: loveesss the vibe of Glass Onion Heart, as he's a pop-fan. He was really surprised to find Ru-kun and Dabi are the same person, but he respects the hell out of Ru-kun and adores his music and has also mad respect for Dabi after he saved the kiddos on multiple occasions, so he's a major stan. His favorite song is Tokyo, or Moving to New York, bc they both have that 'electropop sound'

Midnight: Her favorite song is Misery Business, or Thanks for the Memories. She's more of a peripheral fan than Present Mic, but she enjoys their music. She adores Dabi/Ru-kun's 'aesthetic'.

Endeavor: doesn't know how to feel. Is very overwhelmed. Somehow he could handle watching his son blow up a terrorist cult on live TV but has heart palpitations watching him perform in a wig and a Sailor Moon outfit. there's too many songs for him to parse out. He tries the acoustic album first because it seems less overwhelming, and it just makes him kind of sad. And full of regret in a way. His son is so talented and Endeavor had always been so full of himself that he'd never realized. His favorite song is No Such Thing - he identifies with it a lot and lowkey hates himself for it bc he 'realizes' how similar he and Touya must be to go through similar circumstances. He also really likes Notion from the same album. He hasn't managed to branch out to the other albums, but he always listens when the songs are on the radio. He only really dislikes hearing Say It Aint So, for obvious reasons, even though the whole alcoholism and step-father thing confuse the hell out of him.

Tensei: Obviously has a soft spot for the acoustic album he bullied ru-kun into making, but his favorite is Good News for People Who Love Bad News, bc that's the album he first found them through and he feels nostalgic about it, but he absolutely adores all the songs/subliminal messages of Death Before Decaf. I'm Not Okay is his favorite song, although it's a tough call. He obviously was the first hero to find out Ru-kun and Dabi are the same person, and he's also lowkey moonlighting as an online forum warrior defending Dabi to his dying breath lol. He'll be very embarrassed if anyone finds out his screen name.

Best Jeanist: Not his kind of music, but he digs the ✨aesthetic✨ and is obsessed with some of Ru-kuns more performative outfits, even the ones that aren't jeans. He's actually a lowkey fan of Mitsuya's designs (but doesn't know his real identity) and can spot one from a mile off. He would absolutely slink up to Dabi at a random event and ask him where he bought his jeans.

Miruko: Also not her kind of music, but once the 'SixWings' stuff drops she's curious enough to give it a listen. She likes Glass Onion Heart the most bc of its more pop sound. She definitely just wanted to be nosey and see if any of the songs were blatantly about Hawks, but is a little confused to see most of them seem to be about women.

Edgeshot: Actually digs their latest album Infinity On High. Has a soft spot for the Green Day songs, Jesus of Suburbia, Holiday, and Hitchin' a Ride - although he's emphatically not an anti-establishment rebel like those songs would suggest lol.

Kamui Woods: Lowkey another major stan that keeps it lowkey like Tensei. Also has a gay crisis over Ru-kun. 1979 is his favorite song. He's unknowingly a Smashing Pumpkins fan, so he likes Today, Cherub Rock, 1979 and Mayonaise.

Hawks: I mean we'll def get his reaction in the fic but yes he's a fan, once he starts listening to it. His favorite is Mayonaise... for what will be obvious reasons... and also Island in the Sun for similar reasons lol. Outside of those he's actually similar to Endeavor (which he doesn't know how to feel about lol) in that the acoustic album is his favorite and specifically No Such Thing and Notion. Although when he turns 23 he changes his ringtone to What's My Age Again.

Jirou: Favorite song is Misery Business, but her favorite album is Thanks I Hate it Here. She's a massive fan of all their songs, but with her keen ear for music she's especially fond of the really great riffs in Death Before Decaf. Her second favorite would be Smells Like Teen Spirit.

Katsuki: His favorite song to play is Reinventing The Wheel to Run Myself Over, + he likes that song in general bc he just identifies with it lol. He also really likes Homesick at Space Camp, again becuase it's just a fun song to play on the drums. Most repeated No Scrubs song on his spotify is actually My Heart Is The Worst Kind of Weapon from Ru-kun's acoustic album... bc he's a massive simp and is absolutely obsessed with ru-kun's voice. Like he'd buy random super racy bodice-ripper audiobooks narrated in a language he barely understands just because Ru-kun was narrating them.

Hagakure: Immediately downloads all the albums after the news breaks bc she stans Dabi and omgggg he's a sexy rockstar on top of that?! Yeah she's a bandwagonner and she'll fight you about it. She really loves the fun, teenage-rebellion type songs - What's My Age Again is a personal favorite, even though she's not 23 lol. She also likes Nobody Puts Baby in a Corner, a Little Less Sixteen Candles, and Sugar We're Going Down.

Ashido: Fellow bandwagonner who stans Dabi and now stans Ru-kun. She and Hagakure absolutely nerd out and giggle in their rooms listening to their favorite villain/artist, and Jirou sometimes joins them. Yui finds the whole thing embarrassing and pretends she doesn't notice them. She's also obsessed with the acoustic album (thank you Tensei lol) bc she daydreams of Ru-kun one day serenading her with his guitar. She likes the classic Fall Out Boy From Under the Cork Tree teenage-romance-angst-drama songs, Nobody Puts Baby in a Corner, a Little Less Sixteen Candles, Sugar We're Going Down + Thanks for the Memories and This Ain't a Scene from FOB's Infinity on High.

Uraraka: feels like she has to get into it bc all the 1-A girls are into it now. She's too embarrassed to ask Yui about it directly the way Ashido and Hagakure sometimes do (Yui usually just hedges the questions off) but she always listens to the girl's answers whenever they do. Her favorites are Dance, Dance and Tokyo.

Tamaki: had totally been a fan before realizing Ru-kun and Dabi were the same person, had the usual gay crisis about it, was mortified to realize he'd made such a terrible first impression on one of his favorite artists and goes on to sulk in a corner for a lil bit but gets over it. His favorite song is My Own Worst Enemy, just loves the all around vibe. He also really likes Jesus of Suburbia and Smells Like Teen Spirit.

Mirio: Had heard of them bc of Tamaki, but had never gave them a real listen until after the news dropped. He likes a classic rock sound so his favorites are ones like Cherub Rock, In One Ear, and the assorted Green Day songs. He also loves Dance Floor Anthem though, just because it's such a fun song.

Nejire: Same as Mirio, it's not really her usual bubble-pop so she's heard of them through Tamaki but otherwise has never really listened to them. Accordingly she likes the acoustic album (omggg Ru-kun's voice is so sexy ~) and Glass Onion Heart's more pop-ish songs like Dance Floor Anthem, Dance, Dance and Tokyo.

The general consensus is very "???" and also "man this guy has been through some shit and has some bad vices about it but damn does he have a great voice" and frankly, take one look at him and think he lives a very appropriate rockstar-esque life lol. Ru-kun has definitely given everyone the impression that he drinks/does drugs/sleeps around with a hell of a lot more women than he actually does (or in the case of drugs and women, does at all).

A/n - this is dedicated to my sweet bundle of sunflowers @rumble-aint-a-rumble-without-me <33 (im tempted to turn this into a series over the summer)

"Dang, it sure is hot out there. You want some sweet tea or lemonade?"

The sun rises in the East, and sets in the West; but the sun always rises the next day, so the sun never truly sets in the West. The town life continued on, day after day. Sheriff Rango sleeping in his favorite rocking chair in front of the small wooden county jail, Dillo making drinks in their saloon, and Ash always flirting’ up a storm with the aforementioned bartender. Life in Cape Lesnil was never really changing, it was peaceful and calm. Yes, Tim and Curly stirred up some trouble here and there, but it was all in good fun.  

The town never got many visitors, but everytime they did the visitors were welcomed with open arms. It was the same when a group of 8 boys rode in; dirty, sunburnt, and sweaty. The grease and sweat in their hair and the dirt in their face told anyone that they have been on the road for a while. The town felt majorly empty, but quite beautiful around the town square (due to Angela’s creative ability, and Ash’s gardening). After hopping off their horses, the group of boys walked into town. They looked around, and heard the familiar strum of a guitar coming from the saloon followed by a fit of laughter and singing. 

The group looked at eachother, shrugged, and decided to follow the music. After tying their horses to the fencepost, all 8 entered Dillo’s Saloon. Ash, in her flowy sundress and sunflower boots, was making up lyrics to a local guitarmans songs, swaying to the beat and laughing at every wrong sounding word. Dillo made small talk with a newly wedded couple, wishing them better times together while wiping clean a mug. The door swung open and shut with a gentle thud, and the bartender looked up from the newly wedded couple. 

“Welcome in, gentleman! What can I get ya?” Dillo asked, setting down the rag and cup, a smile on their face. 

“4 beers, 1 glass of milk, and 2 water, please.” The presumed leader, with sweat dripping down their fore-head and who was about 6 feet tall with dark brown hair and a cowlick, answered. 

Dillo gave a soft smile and a nod, starting to fix the drinks. The broad-shouldered leader sat down on a barstool, looking around and admiring the place. Ash left the guitarman alone, letting him strum out a tune, and decided to make conversation with the strangers. Looking around the room, she decided on the smaller group of 3; A man with sideburns, a wide grin, and gray eyes (who at that moment grabbed a deck of cards and pocketed them) who she thought looked mighty fine in the brown cowboy hat he was wearing, a boy who seemed timid, with dark brown eyes and a nasty scar, and a boy with light brown hair, green eyes, and a purple bandana that was stained by red dirt. 

“No, Two, dont do that! Youll get us caught and kicked out.”

“Oh shut it Johnny cakes, dont worry your head off…” The man with sideburns looked past the second boy, seeing Ash who started walking toward the group. “Now shut your trap, I'm about to score a broad.”

The boy with the purple bandana rolled his eyes and shook his head as the girl walked over. 

“I’m Ash, its nice to meet you.” She spoke gently, holding out her hand. 

“Johnny,” The timid one said, shaking her hand gently. He reminded the brunette haired girl of a puppy whos been kicked around many times. 

“Ponyboy,” the one with green eyes shook her hand

“And I'm Two-bit, but you can call me your future husband.” He said, taking her hand and gently kissing it. 

“You're gonna have to try harder than that if you think that's gonna happen,” She let out a giggle and shook her head, changing the conversation. “So what brings you into town?”

“We’re just passing through,” The handsome one answered

“That's a shame! Why don't y’all stay a while! We have a summer festival coming up! There's a rodeo and a beer drinking competition. You boys look like you do rodeos.”

“Johnny and Pone don't do rodeos, but the rest of us do.” He said, taking off his brown cowboy hat and running a hand through his hair. 

“So you’ll stay?”

“Well-”

“Oh no.  We can’t stay. We should be on the road by tomorrow.” Pony spoke up, before Two could be suckered in.

“Awe, c’mon. Let me talk to the head honcho, I'm sure I can convince him for you all to stay awhile.” 

“Miss, I wouldn't talk to Darry. He’d tell you the same things we are, just in an unkind way.”

“Darry? Hm..” 

Dillo, who was fixing drinks, was talking to the man with broad shoulders, who he learned was Darry. Apparently the boys were looking for a place to rest for the night, since they’d be continuing on their travels tomorrow. 

“Well, why don't ya just stay here for a few days? We have the festival coming up, with a rodeo nd everything.” 

“Shucks, we would but we don't want to bother. Most towns we visit don't take to outsiders very well..” Darry shook his head. 

“You wouldn't be a bother, not at all. In fact, we don't get visitors often, and it's a nice opportunity to swap stories.” 

Dillo stated matter of factly as he served up the drinks. A boy with brown eyes and shaggy brown hair took a beer and sat down in the corner. Another brown-headed boy with a chipped tooth and a tattoo grabbed a beer and started sipping on it, talking to the movie-star type handsome man whose choice of beverage was apparently milk. 

“We got plenty of spare rooms here, and it’ll give your boys a break.” He nodded to the group of 4, who were now sitting. Ash and Two talking up a storm, and the other two resting their heads on the table. “Plus, what's the harm of having fun sometimes? Your friends seem like hard workers, they deserve the break.”

In the '05s we had like a rivalry with the BMXs & blades (is that what they are called in eng?) will there be anything like that as well in the if, or its chill now? & I Love that we will be able to have a skater rival, because I know how important it was to win competitions & get spongers to be a pro skater

Alayda, this is eye opening as usual. Honestly, I think spelling for English words are based entirely on aesthetic. Like KNIFE and BACK look more aesthetic than NIFE and BAC, but otherwise you’re correct, it’s very stupid. I always complain about English spelling, but I have to say French spelling is SO MUCH WORSE.

Whenever I try to say a French street sign out loud I just read the first three letters and then sort of….trail off for the rest of the letters. (I don’t speak French)
