You roll your shoulders back and smack your lips together, presenting that glowing smile to a crowd of voracious cameras. Izuku shifts uncomfortably in his seat, all too aware of the way you keep glancing at him out of the corner of your eye no matter the distance between you. 

“Our organization, Victims of Hero Sanctioned Violence, thanks you all for your time this evening. With your contributions and willingness to report the truth, we will someday truly have that brighter future we have been promised for all of these years.”

The crowd erupts and Deku rolls his eyes, resting his cheek against his raised fist. There’s no need for over the top formality, you sat him at a table with hecklers who have long since abandoned him to go and spend their evening at the front egging you on. His tie is loosened and his shirt is unbuttoned, messy green waves drooping now that the gel he slicked them back with has started to lose its effectiveness.

You’re only here for her, he reminds himself. 

Whatever exists between the two of you is tentative and unnamed at best yet he’s nothing but a moth to your flame, floating frantically around the light you emanate with so little effort. Everyone in this room is obsessed with you, devouring every single thing that you say like animals drinking from a lake after a drought. 

He hates them. 

His fist flexes against his face and he shifts his posture again, legs spread beneath the tablecloth. A petty part of him hopes that you see his unbotheredness through his positioning alone, clearly disinterested in hearing the latest stats regarding property damage and long term disabilities caused by pro heroes. It’s not his business. He has people who regularly deal with this sort of thing yet here he sits, reaching to further loosen his tie when he feels your dark eyes drift to him, your heels carrying you from the stage and through the crowd that attempts to stop and speak with you every few feet.

This is where he rises, pushing his chair out from the table in front of it, ready to act as a shield between you and these people who believe they’re entitled to access to you merely because they agree with your beliefs. Sauntering toward you, he positions himself between you and the crowd, and places a hand on your shoulder.

“Nice of you to finally do something to protect someone for once, Deku.” 

A member of the crowd spits and he turns his head, emerald eyes gleaming, ready to bite back. You lift your hand and wrap it around his forearm, squeezing once, silently begging him not to make a scene. Scoffing loudly enough that you can hear it, he raises a brow and keeps his gaze trained on the man who apparently has so much to say, watching him realize how outmatched he is in mere moments. The man bows his head and heads in the opposite direction of where the two of you are going, the hallway outside of the banquet room. 

“How can you let them talk to me like that?” He asks and you giggle, squeezing his arm. 

Your fingers don’t meet where they’re wrapped around it and heat rises in your face envisioning something else that your fingers don’t quite meet when they’re wrapped around, gaze dancing up Izuku’s body until they reach his face. Equal parts chiseled and boyish. Perfect. You hate even looking at him yet here you stand, sharing space and four of your five senses with him. 

The final sense, taste, will come later if the way you are looking at him has anything to do with it.

For now though, there is more important business to attend like the intense hunch of his shoulders and the line that is developing between his brows from all of this scowling. 

“They have the right to say what they’re thinking, Midoriya.” You finally speak now that you are released from the overheated hall, taking a deep breath of fresh cool air to calm your nerves and send that rising warmth in your body back to where it came from. “Being a pro hero doesn’t shield you from criticism, it only makes you less likely to hear it in the first place.” 

He chuckles and that heat you were attempting to will away returns in an instant, cheeks and chest and parts even lower aflame just at the sound of his voice. You shouldn’t even be humoring him, much less actively wanting him, silently scolding yourself to keep it professional despite his obvious attraction to you. He wouldn’t be here if he didn’t want you, the woman beneath the carefully crafted facade you keep up.

“Yeah but it’s not very nice, is it? I didn’t call that guy a loser to his face and I should have.”

Snorting, you shake your head and glance up at him, those doe-like eyes blinking so prettily all he can do is match you. Open, close, open, close. Perfectly synced like your breaths. Easy, just as he seems to have found the coat closet, pushing the door open and pulling you in behind him. 

“I can’t force them to be nice to you. Remember, you volunteered to be here to represent all pro heroes, not just yourself.”

Izuku spins you so that you face him, chest pressed against his torso, face barely coming chin level to his massive pectorals. Your eyes dip to the exposed skin at his collar and you bite your lower lip without thinking, his hands sliding over your hips and ass, gently squeezing and massaging the flesh beneath your silk dress.

“Okay but how are you going to make it up to me?”

You roll your eyes and look up at him, letting your arms rest near his belt, taking your time undoing the buckle.

“Why do I need to make it up to you? As I said, you’re here voluntarily.”

He shrugs, his own lower lip tucked between his teeth momentarily while he watches you work, slowly sinking to a squat position with your heeled feet pressed together. Manicured fingers pull the zipper of his tuxedo pants down, his already half hard cock pressing against your cheek while you rub your face against it.

“Would this make you feel better?” You ask, glancing up at him with those same pretty eyes he fell for the first time he ever saw them in person. He nods once, gaze remaining locked on your elegant movements while your fingers slip beneath the waistband of his boxers. The leaking tip of his cock springs free and you lean in to lick it tentatively, Izuku bracing himself against the row of luxury label coats behind him. 

For being an upstart, VOHSV sure has some wealthy donors. It’s a thought for another time though, his mind melting out of his ears while your tongue dances around the underside of the head of his dick, a whimper escaping him.

“Quiet or you get nothing,” you mumble around the salty taste of his skin. 

All he does is nod and purses his lips, pressing one large palm over the bottom half of his face.

His seawater colored eyes shine even in the low nighttime light, striking a balance between his fiery locks and personality, and you fear they’re winning you over this time. But, he won’t win without working for it.

“My father and my mother, for one.” You punctuate your retort with pursed lips and raised brows. “My reputation and thus my standing in society.”

He scoffs in response, shrugging his shoulders, one palm pressed into the wall above your head and the opposite shoulder leaning against yours, effectively pinning you.

“How will they even know?” He offers, playful tone letting you know he’s only joking even if he desperately wants to keep you by his side for a few more hours. “Are you going to tell them I kept you out?”

You shrug, leaning in against him playfully, pretty eyes darting up to glance at him. He looks right back at you, emotion worn across his face, all of this adoration he has for you as evident as his pedigree and power. He doesn’t bother to hide it and never truly has, effectively causing whispers about the pair of you throughout all corners of the Clover Kingdom.

“Why are you assuming mama and papa aren’t up and waiting for me? I am their precious little girl, after all.” You flutter your lashes dramatically and he leans in to kiss you, eager and hungry despite your attempts to wiggle away from him.

While you giggle against his lips, he holds you tighter. You’re a wisp, a sparkle, a star and he’ll be damned if he ever lets you go without a fight.

“I could always go inside with you and explain to them that their baby is in the capable hands of a Magic Knight.” He raises his brows, the two of you practically sharing the same breath you’re so close.

You burst into a fit of giggles and bat at his chest with your hand. “Their baby girl is also a Magic Knight and a capable one at that.”

So he can’t argue that you can hold your own. You are a member of Golden Dawn after all, as powerful as you are charming and beautiful, and you’re only home with your family for a few days before returning to duty. Leopold’s appearance was a complete surprise and you weren’t expecting him to show up in the evening, asking to take a walk with you around the city.

This was hours ago, dusk long having fallen into night, and you need to go home before people begin to ask questions.

“I can’t wait to marry you.” His jump to the extreme causes you to gasp softly and he collects you against him. “Then we’ll never have to say goodbye, just good night.”

Giggling, you nod in agreement. “I can’t wait for that either but for now, I need to go home.”

hi bb!! thank you for the sweet words and tbh I hope this is a bit of comfort but I used to feel this exact same way. I used to be like there’s nothing about me that is cool or interesting or special enough to believe someone would fall for it and ngl it still happens. But the best way to break it is to literally see yourself through those eyes. you think you’re too quiet or talk too much? your f/o loves how content and safe you are with the things they can’t talk about and you’re their home or they love listening to you talk endlessly about everything you love. you think they won’t like your heart? you’re wrong, they love it. it’s their purpose to protect it.

really it’s just about believing in the love you’ve created in your self ship. they love you unabashedly and love it even more when you love yourself so much they have competition for your heart. it’s not very stiff competition of course but watching you shine is how they shine too. it’s all very symbiotic. you are special and lovable and beautiful because you’re you and that can never be replicated especially for someone who adores you.

And Then There Were None- Agatha Christie GOLD. There are so many of hers I love, but this one takes the cake, best UHEA I have ever read, bar none. If you only read one Agatha Christie in your life, this is it. Consult me if you want more recs. 

I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings- by Maya Angelou is such a richly told autobiography. Heartbreaking, beautiful, and captivating.

A Tale of Two Cities- Basically EVERYTHING by Charles Dickens is delectable, but nothing beats the scene of Sidney Carton going willingly to his doom. Do I love tragedy? I think I’m sensing a theme here. 

Flowers for Algernon- by Daniel Keyes CHANGED MY BRAIN CHEMISTRY FOREVER. Seriously. This is a fucking masterpiece, told through the eyes of a mentally disabled man who gradually undergoes an experimental operation to increase his IQ.

Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine- by Gail Honeyman. What a beautiful, heartfelt story this was. Eleanor is endearing, wounded, and deeply troubled. I adored her transformation with my whole soul, and the discourse this opens about mental health and healing as a never-ending process. 

The Choice: Embrace the Possible by Edith Eger. Holocaust stories never fail to break me, and this was no exception. I cried through this whole book, raged against everything evil and horrid the holocaust represented, and made me resolve to absorb the sadness into myself as a lesson on how to heal. Many sleepless nights over this one. 

Invisible Women: Data Bias in a World Designed for Men- by Caroline Criado-Perez. This book angered me. I’m still angry about it. It was fucking brilliant, but I can’t stop seeing gender inequity in literally all aspects of life. The best part, it’s not an opinion piece. It’s all data delivered deadpan, and it’s shocking as hell. EVERYONE should read this. 

How to Be an Antiracist- Ibram X Kendi, this book is one of my favorites about fighting racism, though there are a lot out there. This is just the one I keep returning back to again, and again. 

Sourdough- by Robin Sloane. You may have heard of Mr. Penumbra’s 24 hour library, but THIS is the unsung hero in his published works. It’s a quirky love story about learning to enjoy life in all its flavor, turbulence, and catastrophe, in a world where everything is blah. Plus, I’m a sourdough baker, so I enjoyed the tall-tale aspects of sourdough starters in all their wild complexity. One of my favorite discoveries of all time. 

Jane Eyre- by Charlotte Bronte. Jane Eyre gets a bad rep for so many reasons, but damn, this woman is my hero, in so many ways. I love this unremarkable, tenacious character with my whole soul. (and don’t talk to me about Mr. Rochester. Yes, we know he hid a whole WIFE in the attic, but remember, Jane LEAVES him to wander in the moors until she’s almost dead from hunger, and doesn’t go back until it’s on her terms. This woman is Goals.)

Hello! I’m Alister and below the cut you can find my about me/intro post for the SP Olympics event :)

For starters, my favorite ship is of course Gregstophe aka Gregory/Christophe from the movie. I’ve got various metas and fics about them if you’re looking for characterization inspiration (or scenes for drawing inspiration 👀 my gregstophe tsot fic is my current passion project). You can find all the important stuff in my pinned post. I love them both individually as well, though I do slightly favor Christophe 😅. I’ve also got more ships with him that I enjoy, namely Damstophe (Damien/Christophe), Kenstophe (Kenny/Christophe), and Tophlovski (Christophe/Kyle)

My second favorite ship is by far Style! I love most anything with them, but particularly fond of their Stick of Truth sonas. I’m just very drawn to the concept of regal elf king Kyle in love with his noble and faithful human knight Stan (who is definitely in love with him too)… it’s a very good concept to me. I also really like very regular AUs with them, just like high school or college or domestic stuff. The one thing I will say is that I’m not really a fan of the bleached hair Stan design but otherwise go nuts!

I have a fun AU I adore that I tag as “Kendy vs the World” but usually just call it my “kendy scott pilgrim au”. As you can probably guess, it’s a Scott Pilgrim AU with Kenny as the titular Scott Pilgrim and Wendy as Ramona Flowers. Other roles include Marjorine as Knives, Henrietta, Thomas, and Clyde as Kim, Stephan, and Young Neil respectively, Kyle as Envy Adams, and Christophe as Wallace Wells. Wendy’s (Ramona’s) exes are Tolkien (Matthew Patel), Gregory (Lucas Lee), Stan (Todd Ingram), Bebe (Roxy Richter), Kevin McCormick and Kevin Stoley (Ken and Kyle Katayanagi), and lastly Cartman (Gideon Graves). It’s mostly based off the movie because I’ve seen that and I’ve only read a few of the graphic novels.

I have a few children of ships I ship that you can find if you search the tag “sp next gen” on my blog! You’re welcome to ask me more about them if you like (I have a google doc of lore) but honestly just seeing those scamps doing whatever (either with each other or their parents) would make my day 🥰

Favorite characters (besides any in previous mentioned ships I like) are Damien, Kenny, Red, Bebe, and Craig. For Craig in particular I really like Youth Pastor Craig… I’m a sucker for religious imagery! Him with Imp Tweek or Angel Kenny makes me feral every time.

I’ve got a lot of rather rarepairs that I love and always love to see! You can ask for others if you’d like but off the top of my head I think my favorites are Dyde (Damien/Clyde), Rola (Red/Lola), and Lanskov (Corey Lanskin/Davey Solokov). They may not make much sense to you but I like them lots :3
