Ive said this before but while i love Holey i wished hed(?) actually been much more menacing and serious and the sorcerers suffered a bit more -- the whole story just felt like 'oo bad goo guy lets defeat him for fucking up my life. and also sorcerer genocide btw' --- but what about the actually atrocities committed towards humans?? over CENTURIES ??

Holey was born out of a mOUNTAIN of corpses, like the pile of corpses was COLOSSAL pls. Lets not pretend this is just some random villain with a personal vendetta against Ai/Aikawa, i mean Holey had EVERY right to exist and be violent. 🗣🗣❗️❗️Matter of fact, FUCK Ai ok. (im joking big time yall pls) Shit this was barely about Ai at the end of the day, like he was just a vessel - i mean, yeah it sucked but i wishhh it was a bit more highlighted and Hole a bit less of a joke?? too much focus on ai/caiman and too little on the actual genocides committed here. Like why wasnt the suffering of the humans mentioned enough during Holey's fighting? I mean yea, 80% (pulling this figure out my ass rn) of sorcerers died due to the rain but it was such a lame copout, it really didnt hit.

and the whole fight was just painting out holey to be this monster that had to be defeated which fair enough cause i wouldnt want to die either but the narrative was a bit eh.

This goes to the devils too, some of them are like over 300+ years old, i know for a FACT as sorcerers they were out there haunting down humans. !!!!!!

and they were enjoying 'the show' as devils - Chidaruma did one thing right reverting them back to sorcerers, cause what are yall enjoying??????? (not that Chidaruma had that in mind but yano) 'were betting on sorcerers' --- well youre sorcerer now too! 'we're going to die!!' i thought we were excited???? go fight. win the bet. chop chop. go brr

Anyways, im being so unserious rn pls dont take any of these to heart, i like the story as is. but i do wish the narrative was a bit stronger around hole's existence. Like i genuinely feel so much for the humans of the story and i feel like its just not properly addressed at all. I know a lot of ppl complain about the ending of drhdr and personally i didnt mind it but i can see why seeing literal jokes left a bad taste in peoples mouth -- the setting or fight isnt bad on its own, it just kinda lacks nuance. HOLEY IS NOT SOME DODO

Danny’s ice core is very good for enjoying extremely cold temperatures without having to drag around a coat. It even helps cool him down in ghost form, and even in human form when there’s enough ambient ectoplasm.

The problem is that his human form has grown to completely rely on it to keep cool, so when there’s not enough ecto to use and his core has to choose between continuing keeping him semi-alive or continuing cooling him down? That’s when the problems start.

It really was just his luck that he chose to visit Metropolis and one of the more destructive rogues started tearing things apart while he was walking to the college he was scouting. And he really should have expected it when something exploded and suddenly the whole city seemed to be burning.

Clark took too long to get there. It wasn’t as much of a self deprecating thought as a fact. By the time he actually took down the criminal that started all this, three blocks were completely engulfed in flames.

His own heart stuttered when he heard a rapidly fluttering heart that kept stopping and starting erratically in the blaze, but he recovered quickly and swooped down to try and save whoever was unfortunate enough to get caught up in the destruction(he ignored how it seemed like it was already too late, and how he hadn’t seen anyone pull through with a heartbeat like that before.) and landed in the rubble that toppled into the street.

The teenager(oh god, it was a teenager, no older than Connor-) reached out and tangled a hand in his cape as soon as he was lifted off the ground. He kept trying to tug him down so Clark could hear him, and when he finally obliged, the kid took a deep breath and rasped:

“Put me in the freezer.”

And that’s a wrap for Comic Con 2024! Ha, it was a lot of fun, but I really enjoyed dressing up as Mondo today! I even had a couple people recognize him! And a few others just liked the hair, one of whom asked how long it took me to get my hair like that, which tells me that at least it looks natural enough for people to mistake it as my actual hair, ha.

Overall, Comic Con was cool! On Thursday, I attended a live podcast recording for Braving the Elements, which is an Avatar the Last Airbender podcast hosted by Janet Varney and Dante Bosco (the voices of Korra and Zuko, respectively), and I actually got a trivia question right and I should (hopefully…) get an email from them soon to get a prize for answering the question right. If not… oh well. At least I’ll be featured briefly on the podcast answering trivia correctly, even though I usually suck at trivia, ha.

The rest of the days were a bit more meh, but I still had fun. I won a Pokeball ornament from a Hallmark panel, since I knew how many Squirtles were in the Squirtle Squad, aha. Which leaves my trivia score 2 for 2 at the moment.😅 I also got a free shirt and scarf for the upcoming Yakuza live action show, which was neat. I’ve never played Yakuza, but my brother has, so I was able to give him the shirt at least.

Still, while Comic Con was fun, I’m definitely glad it’s over so I can go home and clean up from my frantic cosplay creating the last several weeks, oof.

Also! On the first day I dressed at Taka, but since I was by myself I only have the one photo my dad was able to quickly take of me before he had to drive off and a quick selfie I took in the car.

also like speaking of college joe'marr....one of my favorite headcanons is like, yeah, ja'marr probably hero worshiped/had a big crush on the new hot older super talented QB....but i also think joe had a very inconvenient little crush on ja'marr

like joe said himself that thought of his time at LSU as a master's/internship type program but for football instead of any real school curriculum (lol). he had just spent 3 years at OSU /not/ playing football and it was all he wanted to do. now that he had this chance at LSU he was going to buckle up and take it as seriously as possible (he took all online classes and spent as much time as he could at the facility, living and breathing football as much as possible).

so like, he did NOT plan on getting distracted by the cute freshman with the million watt smile and easy warm nature. this kid who would try to joke with him but never try to talk with him without justin or terrace around. this kid with all this god-given talent but no clue how to actually watch film and improve from it. but hey! nothing always goes 100% to plan!
