16th - 20th October || 86 to 90 days of 100 150dop
hi besties! it's been a while since i updated on here properly. there was kind of an infestation issue but now it's all flushed out and I'm back! i've decided to upgrade my days of productivity challenge to 150 total days because i have 40 days of uni remaining (as well as additional exam days) and I wanted to note all of them down and wrap it up in this challenge itself. I'm also gonna start adding memes and random non-productivity updates, just so I feel more motivated to actually post stuff, instead of procrastinating and clubbing too many days at once.
🎶: Hayloft II by Mother Mother 🔉: MAG053 The Crusader
💌: today I am grateful for music! i've been in a funk recently, but my playlists has really been helping me through it <3
my main focus for the past few days and especially today (20th Oct) has been to complete an assignment on 3D bioprinting and it's relevance in drug testing. I've done a lot of research and learnt a lot of interesting things, but my interest has also led me to getting too distracted and not actually wrapping up the project. I really hope I finish it by tonight, I like how it's looking so far.
i spent yesterday (19th Oct) with my cousins and my sister, I took them to this gaming arcade and babysat them for the day. they seemed to have a good time, I enjoyed a day out of the house as well. we spent so much time there, I managed to upgrade the game card to a gold tier :P we also had taco bell for lunch <3
the day before that (18th Oct) I spent a couple hours on my week3 neuroscience lectures. the concepts are comparatively challenging to understand, so i sat through them many times, I'm yet to make notes for them
on Tuesday (17th Oct) I had extra classes (booo it was the most boring time ever) and a dentist appointment after, so I couldn't really get much done. the dental clinic was just a kilometer or two away from home, so I just walked back, taking pictures of the greenery on the way
i didn't have uni on Monday (16th Oct) so I ended up waking up late but i did clean my room and chart out a work plan the weeks until this semester ends. I've been trying to follow it best I can but oh well, things keep popping up from time to time
in the midst of this I'm in the midst of massive nationwide cricket fever (the world cup is going on and we're doing really well! we've won every match we played so far!) It's also festival time here so I have holidays this week (we don't celebrate at home but my friends call me home and I get to partake with them so it's really nice). And this is coupled with my insane levels of consumption of The Magnus Archives Podcast 24/7 xD. Additionally, I have quite a chunk of AI-ML work to get done by this week (SGD and XBoost model development) and I don't know the first thing about it or where to even start so I'm kind of avoiding it for the moment. Hoping to start that once I'm done with this 3d bioprinting presentation. Fingers crossed!

One Day, I'll write something as influential as Sonic The Hedgehog
(I know, I know. Very bold claim coming out of my mouth, especially for someone who just wrote out how hard it is for me to finish a project, but let me explain.)
Hello Internet. Kaz here, back with yet another entry cooked up from the inner workings of my mind. I know, a dangerous place to be at any time of the day, but what's life without a few risk? Anyway, I hope everyone is doing rather well during this forcefully and unfortunately commercialized holiday season. I'm doing good, inspired perhaps being a better word to describe my feelings right now. If it wasn't already clear by the title of this blog, I've recently had my nerdy spirit revigorated (big words for Kaz) after seeing the new Sonic The Hedgehog 3 movie that's currently in theaters.
First off, before I get ahead of myself,
NO SPOILERS IN THIS BLOG
As of the time that I'm writing this, Sonic The Hedgehog 3 was released on December 20th, 2024 and has only been in theaters for five days. I know a lot of people don't read these blogs, but I'm still not going to spoil anything here. What I will say is that Sonic The Hedgehog 3 is an amazing movie, one that I believe both Sonic and Non-Sonic fans alike should see! I will give a small word of warning though. The movies do draw inspiration from the games, but follow their own canon. This is just something to keep in mind when watching the movie. Trust me, this doesn't take away from the overall enjoyment. It just helps to have this bit of knowledge before going in.
Now then, to address the bold proclamation in the blog's title. When I say that I want to write something as influential as Sonic The Hedgehog, in no way do I mean I'm going to attempt to compete with SEGA and their mascot. That would be absolutely idiotic idea for me to have, both mentally and financially. Even as someone who makes some very questionable decisions from time to time, I'd have to be pronounced braindead before thinking I could triumph over one of the biggest video game companies in the world. Plus, I respect SEGA way too much for that.
No, what I mean is that I want to write something that could inspire millions someday. I wish for my work to lift the spirits of anyone who reads it. I want to my works to leave people on the edge of their seats, happy when the best happens to my characters, yet still holding onto hope when the worst comes. Like the Sonic franchise, I want people to fall in love with each character, both the heroes and the villains.
Trust me, I know that none of this is gonna be handed to me on a silver platter. The work I'm gonna have to put in requires dedication, me actually putting in more hours than I have recently. I don't really know what it is, but something about seeing Sonic 3 really lit a fire in a metaphorical way. I'm not really sure how to explain it. I've been a Sonic fan for decades now, the series being one of my top three favorite game series, the only thing before it being Gravity Rush and the only thing after it being The Legend Of Zelda.
Maybe I'm getting ahead of myself. I mean, there's nothing wrong with having ambitions. It's just the procrastination that's a problem. I'm not perfect, I'll admit that. I've just been really bad with managing my own time lately. Like I said in (I believe) my last post, I might have to hire people to pester me into doing work. I've been having both my partner and my best friend on my ass to get content out, and I'm slowly getting there. I was going to try and get a video out before the end of this month, but I've decided that it would be better to push something out in January instead. Better on the mental state, ya know?
Anyway, that's all on my mind for today. I hope everyone has a rather happy holidays and a pleasant New Years. I might type out a few more blog post before the end of the year. Until then, I wish everyone a good night.
Bye!
-Kameron D. Kazma

Good afternoon, Tumblrini!
Blessed be your internet connections, for mine certainly was not last night, leading to me thinking the app had swallowed my post three times whole. Procrastination and distractions made me only get things done after midnight, when I no longer held the favor of the invisible internet iguanas.
Today!
Worked in a greenhouse!
And planted small seedlings into pots!
Every pot had its own Plant Pass on the side, to make identifying the plant and tracing it's origin easier.
Goals!
Due to procrastination and distractions I didn't get around to writing or reading last night again, this time I will try to at least procrastinate with them. 😄 Better would probably to block time for it, e.g. at 6 PM.
• Continuing with previous goals
• Reading 10 pages in a fiction and 10 in a non-fiction book
This should be the easiest goal and yet I keep putting it off as if I'm not ready yet, treating it like a solemn ceremonial ritual that I have to be in the perfect mindset for 😅
Planning to continue with Bid Time Return, set at the beginning of the 20th century, with the protagonist a British girl relocating from India, where she had been on many adventurous trips with her father, to Great Britain, where she inherited a large house, shares in a mine and meets the rest of her family who isn't very enamored with her free spirit and Buddhist tendencies, including an inclination to believe in reincarnation.
Found it in a thrift store in this small town I now live in and was amazed, so surprised, that it has descriptions of Tibetan culture and trips through Tibet 120 about years ago. It's been an inspiration for my worldbuilding and stories. But first I have to finish the idea that won the poll (and chronologically comes first anyway)
• Finish other homework (tulip research)
Don't know how I forgot about this, or why I put it off?
• Revise blog post entries of @taimemaailm and add at least one new entry
Using at least one of the new photos I took would be great!
• 15-minute writing sprint
I was amazed at how many votes I got on the last post – 15, not counting mine! On my first such post here no less.
A clear, absolute majority voted for option 1, another LGBT+ crime story based on my personal experiences and feelings, this time also set in one of my homelands, northern Germany.
While I had voted for another option, I will take the hint and work on option 1. It's something I actually started at the beginning of last year, it being the sequel of my first LGBT+-centric crime story, but then stopped working on last summer because I felt stuck. Time to get back to it. It had a lot of potential and early feedback was promising.
Perhaps I should post the first chapter on here, or a new writing-only sideblog?
• Add more worldbuilding documentation from my @ystel and @tropical-saa blogs to the wiki
• More worldbuilding in my desktop wiki
Until later, everyone!

@bpdaf so this answer opened a can of worms (that I can call procrastination) and I wanted to address it, but with the limited characters in the reply function, I decided to answer it with a new post. Also sorry if this come as an attack, I promise it's not. I just became really curious if I had the wrong idea about the live-shooting system as I was ready to refute your points, but realized I didn't have enough knowledge to do so.
*also tagging @jahe, @yasmini24, @le-amarant as they also replied to my post and I figured maybe you were also interested in this (although it's really long and rambly, so I don't blame you for ignoring the post entirely). So yeah warning, this post is really long.
So I'm well aware of kdrama's live shoot system. But I did wonder if it was normal to start shooting 6 months before the first airing episode, as I was under the impression 6 months of shooting exceeded the standard duration of filming. But I couldn't actually refute it without some data to back that up. So I went to find data.
According to Wikipedia's page on Korean Dramas, they write: “As producing a series involves high expenses, production companies seek to shoot the episodes in the shortest time possible. In contrast to practices elsewhere, the first four episodes of Korean series are usually shot in advance, but the rest are shot continuously as the series is being aired.”
This fits in line with what I believed about Korean dramas live shooting system. They film a couple of episode ahead of time and then rest comes while it's still airing to fit with the audience response to it. Even preproduced dramas are sometimes reshot and re-edited while it's airing. But it didn't really say anything about the average filming duration for a drama or what shortest time possible was defined as. Probably because all dramas will aim for different things and given the content it can vary a lot how long it takes to film.
But I highly doubt it took Vincenzo 6 months to shoot something around 4 episodes and then crammed the rest into the 2 remaining months, as they knew from the start they had 20 episodes to fill.
So let's go through some other drama's shooting schedule to compare with Vincenzo.
I chose to limit the list to 2020 dramas (as they were likely affected by the pandemic) and tvN dramas, so it's the same broadcasting company as these dramas will likely share the same practices. Obviously with the amount I have included, I can't make any definite conclusions, but it does show a pattern.
*disclaimer I tried my best to accurately determine the shooting duration from when filming started to when it ended, but not all of these dramas had that information readily available, so I made do with the information I had at hand. This means some of these are just estimations.
So without further ado, here's the list:
Vincenzo:
May 2020, Director Kim Hee Won and writer Park Jae Bum teamed up.
July 2020, Song Joong Ki and Jeon Yeo Bin were considering the drama, while Ok Taecyeon had confirmed
September 2020, filming started
February 20th, 2021 first episode aired
No episodes April 17thand18th
April 17th, last episode script delivered

Filming wrapped before last airing episode: 1 month + 4 days
2. It’s okay not to be okay
I couldn’t find the exact time shooting started, so these numbers are based between March and May, as I assume they didn’t shoot without Oh Jung Se being casted and while the table read photos were released in May, it could very well be they had started shooting before this.
February 2020 Kim Soo Hyun and Seo Ye Ji casted
March 2020 Oh Jung Se casted
May 8th 2020, first script reading photos released
June 20th 2020, first episode aired
July 31st 2020, filming wrapped

September 2020, promotional starts to come out
October 17th 2020, First episode aired
November 21st 2020, Bae Suzy wraps up filming (assuming filming wraps up around the same time as her as she is the lead)
December 6th, last episode aired
Shooting time: 2-4 months
Shooting duration before first aired episode: 1-2 months
Filming wrapped before last airing episode: around 15 days
4. Hospital playlist season 1
*only aired 1 episode pr. week
October 2019, principal photography took place
March 12th, first episode aired
Late April 2020, filming wrapped
May 28th 2020, last episode aired
Shooting time: 7 months (couldn’t find when they actually started shooting, so let’s just pretend they also filmed around October)
Shooting duration before first aired episode: 6 months
Filming wrapped before last airing episode: 1 month
5. A piece of your mind
February 7th 2020, article of the first script reading
February 13th, first photos from drama unveiled
March 23rd, first episode aired
April 8th 2020, tvN announces that 4 episodes are cut due to low ratings
April 28th, last episode aired
Shooting time: 2-4 months
Shooting duration before first aired episode: 1-2 months
Filming wrapped before last airing episode: N/A (couldn’t find the exact time but they also axed four episodes and I don't know how much that affected filming)
6. Psychopath diary
*not affected by the COVID-19 pandemic
August 2019, first script reading
November 20th, first episode aired
January 9th 2020, last episode aired
Shooting time: n/a
Shooting duration before first aired episode: 3-4 months (assuming they started shooting shortly after the first table read)
Filming wrapped before last airing episode: n/a
7. Stranger /Secret Forest season 2
* preproduced based on the information I found
January 2020, first script reading
June 20th, 2020 lead actors wrapped filming (But I only found this article that says this)
August 15th 2020, first episode aired
October 4th 2020, last episode aired
Shooting time: 6 months
Shooting duration before first episode aired: 6 months
Filming wrapped before last airing episode: 4-5 months
What does this mean?
So the drama that comes closest to Vincenzo's filming duration is Hospital Playlist, but they also did things a bit differently. According to their Wikipedia, they only aired 1 episode a week to comply with 52-hour week system and to avoid overnight filming for the cast's and crews' health. So that would extend their shooting time. They also had the same amount of shooting time as Vincenzo before the first episode aired, i.e. 6 months, but Hospital playlist was only 12 episode drama so they also had less content to fill.
The rest of these dramas has a shooting time with 6 months or less. I will say though a lot of these dramas are not action-packed (also I haven't checked the budget for any of these), so comparatively they probably have different needs when filming. The drama that comes closest in terms of action is Stranger/Secret Forest, and it's also pretty close in shooting time with only 2 month different (that's counting from the first table read though). This was however pre-produced so they wrapped up filming before the first episode even aired (if my information is correct). Also this was a season two so they were operating under a little different circumstances.
But with the exception of Stranger/Secret Forest (preproduced) and Hospital Playlist(tried to work with humane working hours), none of this drama has a 6-month filming duration before the first episode aired. In fact some of these dramas don't even exceed 6 months of filming. Meaning they had less time to shoot before the first episode aired. Their production was probably also lower and none them did CGI (although I haven't watched all of them so feel free to correct me if I'm wrong) as that should also be accounted for.
So 8 months of filming is a lot to allocate to a drama, at least it's not the norm. There are other dramas that exceed that filming time that didn't make the list (Mr. Sunshine sorry too much research for at this point), but obviously that is not the standard.
Obviously I don't know how the filming was divided, how many of the episodes they had filmed before the first one aired. I don't know how many of the episode scripts were written before it aired. But I can see that even with the live-shooting, Vincenzo has some very uneven scheduling that doesn't align with how the rest of these dramas did their scheduling and airing. None of the mentioned dramas had any delays (in airing, I can't be sure about filming as some of them are probably affected by the pandemic), and yet Vincenzo did, even though they had spent more time filming before the first episode aired.
Also, most of these dramas wrapped up filming with more than a week to spare before the final airing, with It's Okay Not To Be Okay coming the closest to the airing date (with the ones where I know the date when they finished shooting), but they also only had 1-3 months of filming before the drama actually started airing so much less time than Vincenzo. And although they didn't have CGI, they did have the animations for each of the fairytales which I don't know how long it took but I can imagine it took some time.
So then I looked up another drama not by tvN but by Park Jae Bum:
Good Manager/Chief Kim
December 15, 2016 first script reading
January 25, 2017 First episode aired
March 30, 2017 Last episode aired
I couldn't find the date they finished filming, but given they only started a month before airing (honestly I felt super sorry for the cast and crew when I saw these dates), I am assuming the hit the last airing date pretty closely with filming, and that would give them 3 months of filming roughly. And they also had 20 episodes like Vincenzo.
I haven't seen this drama myself, so I can't say anything about the writing quality, but here Park Jae Bum was working under even more time pressure and was able to deliver the ending on time and as I hear, it was pretty a pretty good ending (but I haven't seen it, so feel free to refute me). And yet he couldn't do it for Vincenzo. So I do think something happened with ending, whether it was Park Jae Bum just took a long time writing it for whatever reasons, or someone/thing (be it something personal, writer's block, execs not liking the ending etc.) actually interfered and that prolonged the writing or entirely changed the ending.
Anyway this became too long, so let me just end it here.
I wish I had time to make a more comprehensive list so I could be more definite in the conclusion because obviously I can't base everything of the schedule of 8 dramas that also vastly different in production quality, genre and content.
So yeah I might have just wasted the last three-four hours making something that doesn't even make sense. But hey, at least I'm less prepared for the exams now, good use of time. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
#Vincenzo#so much procrastination#I don't know if this was just an excuse to not look at unity#probably#also I think this mostly also to satisfy my curiosity about the live-shooting broadcasting system in general#although there is still a lot to be learned#sometimes I have this idea that bad dramas are live-shoot and the good dramas are preproduced#but then I think of descendents of the suns and remember not all preproduced dramas are good#and if chief kim/good manager is as good as everyone says#they did a pretty good job considering the circumstances they had to work under#I have put it on my watch list#so once I'm done with exams I can watch it#and then I can tell you if I think PJB can write a good drama under immense time pressure#anyway this was probably pointless#but here it is anyway

January reads!
I read a lot this month because hell hath no reading speed like a college student procrastinating during finals reading period! (And I finished my finals, don’t worry.)
* = reread
Giant-Size X-Men by Jonathan Hickman, Russell Dauterman, Ben Oliver, and Alan Davis: Some great in this collection of X-Men one shot stories, though I honestly didn’t find the stories as interesting.
The Accursed Vampire by Madeline McGrane: A graphic novel about kid vampires and it is so cuuuuute. Also great to see LGBTQ+ representation (nonbinary main character + side lesbian couple) in a middle grade book.
House of X/Powers of X by Jonathan Hickman, Pepe Larraz, and R.B. Silva: I reread this. It made more sense the second time!
A Master of Djinn by P. Djélí Clark: Really cool and unique murder mystery set in a magical steampunk version of early 20th-century Cairo! I also loooved the main character’s love interesting.
Once & Future vol. 1: The King is Undead by Kieron Gillen, Dan Mora, and Tamra Bonvillain: Action comic inspired by British and Celtic mythos with an evil King Arthur and a very badass monster-hunting grandmother.
X-23: Innocence Lost by Craig Kyle, Christopher Yost, and Billy Tan: Reread because I want to go read the Liu X-23 comic.
The Other Black Girl by Zakiya Dalila Harris: A thriller about racism in the publishing industry, though I actually ended up being more interesting in the publishing aspect than the thriller aspect.
Heartstopper vol. 2 by Alice Oseman*: Cute art!
Heartstopper vol. 3 by Alice Oseman*: God I miss having fun and traveling to new places.
Darius the Great Deserves Better by Adib Khorram: Quiet, slice-of-life story about a gay, Iranian American teenager boy. I really liked the nuanced way Khorram wrote familial and romantic relationships.
Once and Future vol 2: Old English by Kieron Gillen, Dan Mora, and Tamra Bonvillain: Beowulf is in this one!
Once and Future vol 3: The Parliament of Magpies by Kieron Gillen, Dan Mora, and Tamra Bonvillain: *yells in comic book cliffhanger*
Die vol. 1: Fantasy Heartbreaker by Kieron Gillen and Stephanie Hans: so nice of Kieron Gillen to write a comic aimed directly at me!
Moon Knight vol. 1: Lunatic by Jeff Lemire and Greg Smallwood: I’m new to Moon Knight and this is a very weird comic so I didn’t always understand what was going on, but the art was gorgeous!
Die vol. 2: Split the Party by Kieron Gillen and Stephanie Hans: I do love a fantasy comic filled with Brontë references and dragons and difficult choices and moral ambiguity.
Die vol. 3: The Great Game by Kieron Gillen and Stephanie Hans: This got a bit too meta for me at points, but the final issue had me desperate to continue reading.
The Conductors by Nicole Glover: Very underrated adult historical fantasy about a married couple who worked on the Underground Railroad and now solve mysteries in post-war Philadelphia. I liked the touches of magic and the romance.

Fire Emblem: Awakening Thoughts
As of the date May 20th, 2020, I finished my playthrough of Fire Emblem: Awakening on its one year anniversary of when I got it. It is now June 5th of writing this. This post will be my thoughts and feelings on Awakening, much like the KH3 Grievances and Blessings post last year. Let's get into some history between me and Fire Emblem before I go into Awakening.
As I've said before, Awakening was both my first Fire Emblem game and my first Tactical RPG. Smash Bros. was where I had heard of Fire Emblem but it wouldn't be until Ultimate came out that I would start to get interested. It was because of my friend's preference for Lucina that got me into playing as her in Smash and that's pretty much how she became both one of my mains and a favorite. It honestly wasn't till I listened to the Smash remixes of Id, Conquest, and Lost in Thoughts All Alone that I decided to play Awakening and then Fates. So thanks go out to both Smash and my friend Eric for converting me to Fire Emblem trash!
Much like the KH3 Grievances and Blessings post, I'll be going over every aspect of Awakening I can think of, from the graphics to the gameplay to the story. I'll even include a Best/Worst Girl and Boy of both generations because that kind of thing seems to matter to some people, along with my reasons for why X is Y. Keep in mind that whoever I choose as those categories, it is just my opinion and you're free to disagree with me. I say this because I know that, no matter what I say, some diehard fans will get pissed at me and come at me for daring to shit on their favorite character. I already know some people are gonna get mad because they think X should be Best/Worst and that'll be fun to see (You can interpret that as sarcasm if you want).
Listed below are Awakening spoilers, so if you want to play the game and don't want to be spoiled, now's your chance to stop reading. I know Awakening came out in 2013, meaning 6 or 7 years ago, but there may be some people who haven't gotten around to playing it yet so I want to be courteous to them. Here are my thoughts on Fire Emblem: Awakening!
First off, the graphics. I think they looked really nice for a 3DS game that came out in the early 2010's and I believe this was Fire Emblem's first fully 3D game as well so that's really impressive. The in-game models were nicely detailed, the in-game sprites were nice looking, and the prerendered cutscenes were beautiful. This doesn't mean they're not without their faults, though. I wish the in-game cutscenes were more animated because it's easy to tell when an animation's been used over and over again, I feel as if the in-game sprites have some dissonance with official art, and there are times where expressions or animations for the prerendered cutscenes have looked pretty awkward. In terms of the first and last point, I'm giving IntSys some slack because, as I stated earlier, they were developing a game for the 3DS, a powerful handheld device but it's still a handheld, and this was FE's first 3D game so there may have been issues transitioning from 2D sprites to 3D models. I'll explain what I mean by my second point. I've looked at Cynthia's official art and when I see her face, I tend to see what I'd call a baby face, pudgy cheeks and all. Her in-game sprite, however, her face is sharper, more mature, if that makes sense. Maybe it's the pigtails throwing me off or it's just a difference between two art styles, I don't know. I'm not an artist so there's not much weight behind this but I'm just saying there's somewhat a dissonance between official art and in-game sprites.
Secondly, gameplay. I loved how easy it was and how I could switch between a simple and complex UI if I wanted to see which attacks could hit or what the enemy's stats were. This may sound stupid but I honestly thought it'd be way more difficult due to this being a Tactical RPG. I know strategy's a big part of Fire Emblem but strategy's not a big problem if you're like me and you grind to hell and back. Speaking of which, I played on Easy Casual mode so that might be why it seemed so simple from the get-go. Just to give you an idea of how much I grinded, I put in 200+ hours and that mostly consisted of buying a shitton of Reeking Boxes, spawning Risen on some of my favorite grind spots, and fighting them over and over again. I went through the 3 basic classes each character could have, maxed out their default class one last time, promoted them to their advanced class, and maxed out those classes 2-3 times over. I have a video on my Twitter that shows the stats of these characters and most of them are over 220 (The shapeshifters 300). Needless to say, I loved each and every fucking crit I got. Cordelia even got what I call a miracle crit, which means she got 2 crits in one round and after the enemy attacked, she got another 2 crits. Level grind ain't a joke in this game.
Thirdly, the music. Considering it's part of why I got into this game in the first place, I loved it. As I'm writing this, I'm listening to the OST and it sounds so much better when you don't have the ambient sounds and you're not listening to it through the 3DS speakers. The song that hit me the most and just gave me the overwhelming feels was Id~Sorrow as it played in Chapter 21. It fit so well with the tone of the scene and I just sat there for a few minutes, letting it play in the background as I did shit. Other notable mentions are Id~Purpose, Destiny, Conquest, and the song that is just ellipses. If the music is this good in Awakening, I can't wait to see what's in store for Fates!
Fourthly, the voice acting. For a game where most of the voices come in forms of clips, I thought they were good. Each of the actors tried their best to convey their characters in the clips they were allowed to have and I think it shows. The only critique I have, and it's not the actors' fault, is that some of the characters' voices don't fit them. I'm not saying they miscast these characters, it's more like the direction was off, if that makes sense. Let me bring up Cynthia, Kjelle, and M!Morgan as examples. I don't think it's a stretch to say that, sometimes when you look at a character, you kinda imagine what they'd sound like before you hear their actual voice, right? I already brought up Cynthia's looks so I imagined her voice to sound very high-pitched and maybe a little childlike. I hear her voice and, while she's high-pitched and some of her voice clips do go into that childlike territory, she's nasally sounding and more mature. Kjelle is a complicated case in that, her voice fits her appearance (minus the armor) but not her personality. Her personality is similar to Sully's so I figured her voice would sound gruffer and not...cute, if that's the right word. M!Morgan's, I think, everyone can see the problem with. He's supposed to be the youngest of the kids, right? Since he's the only third generation character and all that? I think he just sounds a little too old for the supposed baby of the kids. Again, I'm not saying the voices are bad or that the delivery/emotion was bad, I just think the direction in which they were voiced don't fit some of the characters. Maybe I'm just thinking in terms of archetypes or something.
Now we move on to the story. I can't say as to whether it was good or not, mainly because I spoiled myself on it way before I decided on playing Awakening, so I don't think I can say much to the quality. The least I'll say is it's serviceable. I'll admit, the one thing I was shocked by was the appearance of the Grima Avatar because I thought Grima was inside Robin the whole time and I didn't think he'd have a separate vessel. I straight up thought Grima!Robin was either my mother or a twin I wasn't aware of so I'm giving credit to the writers for surprising me. Anyway, I think the only flaw I have with the story is with the pacing. I thought the first half was fine, it wasn't too fast or too slow. It was the second half that the pacing couldn't find a middle ground. Now I'm going to say that this half was stretched out over months of my playtime so whatever I say next might be exaggerated because of my procrastinating ass so... I feel like the Valm arc was way too slow and the Grimleal arc had so much trouble finding a middle ground. The beginning of the Grimleal arc was quick but Grima himself decided that I had to finish 2 and a half chapters before I finally got to beat him and you have to deal with constant reinforcements before you kill off the target. I think if it weren't for my overleveled as fuck units, I wouldn't have finished Awakening in time for my birthday.
Just for shits and giggles, I'm gonna say what I picked for my choice with both Luce's judgement and Grima's fate. I picked the self-sacrificial choices, which means I accepted Luce's judgement and allowed her to kill me and I dealt the final blow to Grima so Chrom didn't have to. While I knew the outcomes of both choices and them ultimately not meaning anything, I wanted my Robin to reflect what I would've done and I'm a very self-sacrificial person. Because I made Chrobin happen in my playthrough, which meant Luce was my daughter, I believe that, if my child who came from an apocalyptic world told me I was the reason for that happening and that she came back through time to stop that future from happening so she and the others wouldn't suffer, I would've let her kill me. Parents would and should do anything for their kids and if my death possibly gave my daughter the chance for a better life, I'd take it in stride. As for me dealing the final blow to Grima, if it was to save everyone I loved, I would've done it. Although there's some feelings of wanting to give a big "Fuck you" to Grima and to permanently end the problem so any future descendants wouldn't have to deal with it. This section may sound more philosophical and personal than I usually write but I think it deserved it.
Now we're on to Supports and who I chose to be together. I don't think it's wrong to say that this is where the characters really get to shine and it's because of the Supports I love these kids and how much I'm going to miss them when I move on to other FE games. As for the "canon" couples, I mainly went with characters that I thought would complement each other and this was one of the few things I tried to choose for myself. I tried my best to go for pairings that weren't fan favorites but I'm also not very connected with the fandom as of writing this so I may be completely wrong in which ships were favorites or not. So here are the pairings I got for my playthrough!
Chrom-Robin
Frederick-Sumia
Virion-Miriel
Vaike-Nowi
Stahl-Sully
Lon'qu-Cordelia
Ricken-Lissa
Gaius-Maribelle
Gregor-Cherche
Libra-Panne
Henry-Olivia
Lucina-Inigo
Owain-Cynthia
Brady-Nah
Kjelle-Laurent
Severa-Yarne
Obviously, there are some characters missing from this list and I can explain why. I didn't recruit Kellam and Tharja and it's because your girl is a dumbass. Kellam, I thought, was already on my team, he was just labelled as an ally so I didn't need to recruit him. They really should've made that clear. Tharja, on the other hand, was an even bigger dumbass than me because she decided to charge after Robin, who happened to be in front and was way overleveled, and got her ass promptly beaten with a crit. I regret not getting Kellam but after hearing how awful of a person Tharja is and how many fans are willing to put aside emotional abuse and stalker-like tendencies to have a chance to fuck her, she can stay buried in the sand where I electrocuted her ass. Unfortunately, this does means Noire didn't pop up in my recruitment list and that fucking sucks. The only characters left I didn't have a pairing were Gerome and Morgan. I think Gerome wouldn't really care for a romantic partner because he's all about not wanting to create ties in this time and shit and, since I see Morgan as the baby of the kids, I figured he'd be a little too young to be in a relationship. Despite that, I wish I got him and Nah together because I found out after she was shipped with Brady that Morgan's the only S-Support she'll say "I love you" to and I was immediately filled with regret.
Before I move on to the Best/Worst contest, there's something I need to bring up because I can see what sensible fans have shown now. This game is HELLA gay. Like, holy fuck, how many instances are there where you have two characters of the same sex and they have dialogue that seems to have been written with romantic intent but the writers decide it's meant to be platonic? Maybe I just have this weird line of thought on how straights are because there's no fucking way some of these gay moments would be a thing with even the most accepting straights. Maribelle calling Lissa darling and other pet names, Robin blushing from some of the girls and even mistaking Flavia's proposition for a marriage proposal, Severa looking at Kjelle's abs, the list goes on. I'm not straight because I'd be doing some of this shit with a potential girlfriend if I could! Why did it take IntSys until 3 Houses to implement LGBT+ pairings when this game is right here?! At least this game doesn't have the weird student/teacher relationships 3H has and believe me when I say that, if it weren't for the fact I could give less of a fuck for 3H, I wouldn't play that game for that reason! Anyway, Awakening is hella gay and it should've been the first LGBT+ FE game instead of 3H.
The Best/Worst contest... As I said in the beginning, there'll be a Best/Worst Boy and Girl for both generations because that's fun and it seems to matter a lot to some people. Repeating what I said, this is just my opinion and you're free to agree or disagree with me. One rule I'm putting in is I will try my best to not pick fan favorites. Don't get me wrong when some of the crowd pleasers are good but there are other characters that deserve just as much love as the fan favorites so this is why I'm putting in this rule. Without further ado, here are the rulings!
1st Gen
Best Boy-Lon'qu
Best Girl-Panne
Worst Boy-Virion
Worst Girl-Miriel
2nd Gen
Best Boy-Owain
Best Girl-Cynthia
Worst Boy-Inigo
Worst Girl-Severa
Let's see how many people I piss off with these judgements. So, my reasoning: Best Boy for 1st gen was a big toss-up. I kept wanting to choose between Chrom, Frederick, Stahl, and Lon'qu because they really endeared themselves to me but I chose Lon'qu in the end because he's honestly such a dork (I mean, all of them are) and I gotta admire how he tries to overcome his fear of women and try being there for his wife and daughter if he happens to have one. There's also the fact he has to literally psyche himself up to talk to women if you check in with him in the Barracks and I'm just like "Fucking hell, that's adorable and I GET it". Best girl is Panne because believe me when I say that the moment I see this woman and hear her voice, I'm immediately gay for her. Then she transforms into a giant rabbit, kicks so much ass, and I'm in love. Funny story, I'd talk to my friend about my progress in Awakening on Discord and the moment he asks me who best girl was and I answered Panne, he called me out for being a furry. Granted, I would've automatically said Luce but I'm trying not to pick fan favorites so I get his criticism. If a woman like Panne existed in real life, bunny ears and tail and all, I'd probably become a furry for her, no questions asked. As for worst boy and girl, Virion and Miriel are characters I honestly don't give much of a fuck about. Not that they're bad, I just don't care about their archetypes, if that makes sense. Miriel I found to be boring and Virion's of the Casanova archetype and I've always kinda hated that archetype so that's why they're on the ranking.
Oh boy, 2nd gen. So, best boy being Owain. This boy is going to kill me. He's so adorable and sweet and he's just a good boy. There are literally Tweets on my Twitter where I just gush about him and he deserves so much love. He's just a sweet boy who loves his parents so much and is so proud to be their son and how he manages to rope his cousins (Luce and Morgan) into going with his fantasies and how they just go along with it! Owain is a cinnabun and I want to protect him and love him. Anyway, best girl being Cynthia is sorta the same reason as Owain. She's just so bubbly and happy and just adorable. Yeah, she may get carried away with showboating but I just love her earnest desire to be a hero. I think everyone can see why I paired Owain and Cynthia up. Now for the worst. Inigo and Severa are probably the only characters in this whole game that straight up got on my fucking nerves and for different reasons. Outside of his supports with Olivia and Henry, Inigo's constant flirting with the girls and Robin and inability to take no for an answer just rubbed me the wrong way. I actually put out a Tweet saying how Inigo's like an r/niceguy and I still think he is one. Course, this doesn't mean I didn't have my fair share of laughs from him. I fucking died at his and Gerome's A-Support where he ends up pathetically crying after the emo loner got more game than him and Gerome has to comfort his ass, that was hilarious. It also helped the fact that Liam O'Brien, who I've only heard him as the brooding emo loner role, voiced Inigo as the complete opposite of that and I had a blast. Severa, on the other hand, was...really unpleasant. There's a reason I hate Tsunderes with a passion and it's because they're unnecessarily bitchy towards everyone they know, even if they have no reason to be. Severa, however, was somehow worse because she went out of her way to be horrible to people. My dislike for her was cemented the moment I saw her and Cynthia's C-Support and she chose to make fun of her, despite Cynthia minding her own business and Severa just going "fuck it". However, I should express that I understand why Inigo and Severa are the way they are and that's why I'm not being as harsh on them as I could be. They still have their good moments and I can appreciate them while also raking them over the coals.
So that concludes my review/experience of Fire Emblem: Awakening! Despite some moments of frustration and annoyance, I had fun playing this! I mean it when I say I'm gonna miss these kids but I had plenty of time to spend with them so it's time to move on to newer lands. Next up on the list is Fates and I think I'm siding with Hoshido first. It's funny how, despite me spoiling the story for myself 3 separate times, I still can't remember much, if any, of it so that may say something about the quality. I also know Fates is pretty divisive among the fandom but the thing I know it for is the weird pseudo-incestuous ships it has so that's going to be fun! Hopefully, I'll get around to playing as one of my other mains in Smash, my water horse dragon Corrin, sometime soon and I'll be sure to let everyone know when my journey will start!

@mastery-in-procrastination, who is busy doing some awesome things for the community, was kind enough to send me this ask: “How long have you been working on "The Reaper's Only Daughter"?” Tumblr ate the ask, but I was able to save my answer! I may have gone a little over broad in my explanation. Thanks for the question, now sit back and experience the journey.
Ah yes. My origin story. I remember it like it was yesterday. Allow me to take you back, to before the beginning...
2018! For me it was the year of television (as ‘17 had been the year of the movie). I vividly remember searching for shows on IMDB to compile a sort of list in January. Some well-known, some old hat, but two in particular stuck out to me. Two my mother specifically enjoyed and had for many years. Sons of Anarchy and Shameless. I was finally at the age to where I could start enjoying these shows and so they were added to my list to be watched later. I remember reading the description of SOA and looking through pictures of tough guys on motorcycles. I knew I had to watch it!
Fast forward to May 15th. I was nearing the end of my high school/senior year. I believe I had taken all of my finals at this time and just had a few meaningless things left to turn in for one or two classes. I had just finished The Punisher (thank the godz) and was ready to start the next series. It was again between SOA and Shameless and I have never made a better or more damaging decision in my entire life than when I hit play on the pilot episode of SOA at 7 am as I was getting ready for school that Tuesday morning. Mind you, my school was a dead zone as far as internet goes, but the media godz were shinning down on me that week. I chased the signal every single day.
For the next 6 days, it was all I thought about, all I watched, all I wanted to talk about! I watched 92 episodes, roughly 70 hours of content in 6 days. Though my mother has seen it many times (as it is also her favorite series with her favorite actor(s) in it) I retold her the stories (nearly every episode, or several at a time) as I watched them. She was the first person to see me “live react” to a show in text or otherwise. She enjoyed it because she hasn’t had anyone to talk to about the show in what is now nearly 5 years and she liked hearing my takes on things.
I stopped talking to friends, I stopped eating (not really so extreme, but I mean...), and on the last 3 nights I hardly slept. I watched it absolutely everywhere! That Friday I skipped school. I reasoned I wasn’t doing work anyway and it wasn’t going to hold me back. If my memory serves me correctly, I watched the finale of S3 through S4 and maybe a little more on either side (but for certain these 14 episodes, technically my favorite in the series) in one straight sitting. In truth, nothing was going to be able to hold me back from this show. I was hard pressed to leave my room, much less my house which made work Saturday difficult. I told my coworkers I was watching it as I jumped up and down waiting to go home (business was slow you see) and I actually left early. I have a bad habit of watching things while driving (don’t do it kids! Listen to your mother!) and actually watched an episode on the way home.
I ended up pulling an all-nighter on Saturday trying to finish it as I had more plans Sunday. Well, it didn’t work. I fell asleep around 4 am with 4 or 5 episodes to go. I watched a few episodes to and from where I was going in the car, but on Sunday night May 20th, 2018, I watched the final two episodes of the series back to back and a weight had been lifted off my shoulders (it also left a hole in my heart, quite literally). I was no longer susceptible to spoilers and I knew the “secret”. What’s more, I completely, 100% agreed with the creator’s decision as to how and when he ended the show.
SOA was the first show that ever captivated my attention in such a way. I was never bored, not for a minute. I wouldn’t call many of the episodes fillers even now that I’ve watched each a couple of times (too many to count, for research purposes, I assure you.) And it is one of the most consistent as far as new ideas and character development/design I have ever seen. What's more is I absolutely adore the main cast and characters alike. It honestly took over my life and has changed it for the better. So much so, that it was still all I thought about for several weeks after I finished it. To the point where I had to watch it again top to bottom, though it took me about 2 weeks while sleeping that time. I’ve never watched a show like that, before or since, no matter how much I like a series.
Alas, life goes on, there were more shows to watch, and for the next month or so I turned to watching Shameless (another story entirely) and, though I didn’t want to, I stopped thinking about SOA for a time. That was, until I started thinking about moving to college. My mother had an SOA poster that use to be in her office that she gave to me to put in my apartment. I wake up every morning to see it hanging over my bed and I am reminded that I should be writing TROD. I went down to my college apartment about a week before term started. It was the first time I was technically on my own, though I have roommates, and you will never guess what I did during that week. Go ahead, guess. I did 2 things, actually.
I rewatched SOA, though this time I stopped on series 5 (and if you’ve seen it you may know why) and I “broke down” and created a Writeblr. I’ve always loved to write and actually was in the process of shelving what was originally meant to be my first novel length WIP (on the grounds that it did not have a plot to hold the characters together) that now hasn’t been updated in 6+ months. During this third rewatch an idea came to me. “What would it be like to be in this world?” More specifically, “What would it be like to be a woman in this world”?
This was apparently the right question to ask. The rest is history, swirling into a big black and crow feathered blur. I spent a few months creating Schuyler. I slowly stopped talking about the shelved WIP online and started answering questions for her instead. I figured if I was going to shelve 1 project I had better have another to replace it with, and so TROD was born! I nearly immediately had a character personality and a title when I started. The name Schuyler and her family lineage to link her to the canon story took more time. But while I was thinking of all the technical stuff I was also imagining all the fun scenes that would take place in this imaginary novel I was picturing.
I spent so much time thinking about it, specifically the first chapter which you have seen is now available to read on this blog, that the first time I sat down to write I wrote out 5,000 words flat. Many remained in what is currently “the final draft”. This had never happened to me before and I was inspired! I have been working on it ever since. As far as physically writing for it I have only been writing TROD for about 4 months. But in actuality, TROD has been a project a long time in the making. Nearly 9 months of thought and devotion to a Fandom nearly gone, but I’m here now to carry the torch!
9 months in and I have 6 moodboards, a chapter, and far too many tag games/posts to count. I have roughly 30k words written (continuously, obsessively tweaking the first 3 chapters) and another 2k or so of notes (outlines, dialogue lines, and ideas for scenes). This is actually the first story where I’m consulting a sort of outline (my own that I’m always adding to, but also the canon story) and it’s been my best writing experience to date!
This project is going to be long. Longer than anything I’ve ever dreamed of taking on before. I still have much to explore, plot kinks to work through, and many months, if not years, of work to go. But w/o SOA I would have never become so involved in media (as now I want to make it my career), met some of my favorite actors, created my Writeblr or been inspired to continue writing, and I certainly never would have entered into this inclusive community or met so many awesome writers!
*Whew. That was a lot. But SOA and my WIP TROD means a lot to me as you can see. Thanks so much for the ask. Feel free to stop by anytime!
I’m also going to tag @themildestofwriters as I know you may be thinking about diving into this series yourself and I want to both warn you and wish you well if you choose to do so!
And @aspire2bu, as I believe I saw you post recently about how you first got into K-pop in the first place and I found it interesting. Hopefully you’ll find this interesting too!

Working on anything? xx
I still have that fic for the smut swap coming up on the 20th (though my name won’t be attached to it until the 27th). I don’t think I was finished it last time I mentioned it, but I definitely am now so it’s just a matter of waiting for the exchange to end. Bit of a bummer that it looks like I might not get a fic in exchange for it though, since whoever was assigned to me seemed to default and nobody has picked up the pitch hit, but I’ve found that come reveal day, I’m more excited to get the fic I wrote out there than I am to see what I got, so at least it gave me motivation to write and try something new.
Other than that, I actually just did a little personal fic exchange with a friend (which by the way! If anyone is ever interested in doing a personal exchange with me - you write a fic for me and I’ll write a fic for you - hit me up and we’ll talk) for another fandom that I don’t plan on posting publicly, and I’m thinking of converting the smut of it into a Riverdale fic, and recrafting a small plot around it to fit. The only issue is that for the life of me, I can’t decide what pairing to make it. I definitely want it to be a Cheryl fic, but I can’t decide between Sweet Pea, FP, Malachai or possibly Jughead. It’s basically an established dom/sum relationship (with a light daddy kink thrown in), revolving around him punishing her for something and really pushing her limits. I can think of loose plots for all four guys, so I’m kind of stuck on what to do there. But once I figure that out, look out for that!
I also want to start posting some of my fills from the Riverdale Ladies Meme over to ao3 one of these days, maybe expand and fill in some of them so they’re a bit lengthier, but I have to decide on a format for posting those. I’m not sure if I want to just post select ones as their own stories, or throw them all together into one story as drabbles or what. So basically I’m procrastinating all over the place, but new stuff coming eventually. Until then, I’ll probably continue to fill prompts on the meme when the inspiration strikes. I have a whole list of ones I might want to do that I’m slowly working my way through.

Hello, World.
That’s what you put for the first post of a new blog, right? Or is there a hip new thing going on now?
Jokes aside, I’ve been actually pondering doing this blog for a while now. It’s supposed to be something regarding my life in Royal Holloway, but I never did have the time, which I spend on studying, finishing essays and also procrastinating. I have never procrastinated so hard before. You will not believe the amount time I spent playing Bayonetta instead of working.
But I digress - this blog is supposed to be charting stuff about history that I find interesting, and my work too. It’s nothing really major, just sass and chronic regurgitation really but for some reason my lecturers/tutors seem to like it so I guess I’m doing something right. It’s not going to delve too much into “pastel photos” territory because I have no patience for that, seeing as I’m more of a typist and a wordsy person. Yeah. Not busy playing Bayonetta, I swear.
Now that’s the purpose of this blog out of the way, I’ll talk about myself. I’ll try to keep it simple.
My name is Trad, or Xian. I’m 20 years old, in my second term of my first year (started late, I know) into a History BA. This was a rather...odd choice for future uni students where I come from, really, but the only other person I knew who wanted to do History is currently at Cambridge so societal pressure can go suck a fat one.
Currently my modules include: Doing History [How to Analyse Sources], Public History [History in the Public Imagination], Age of Discovery [European Early Modern Period], Mao to Mandela [Non-Western Leaders in the 20th Century]. I’ve chosen my second year modules, but I won’t know if I got them until next term.
I swear a bit too much, but everyone knows this and has gotten used to it at this rate. I also occasionally draw quite a bit, and speak three languages.
And that’s pretty much it. I’m going to upload a bit more content soon (a journal assignment), with any luck.

Eleven questions
Post the rules.
Answer the questions given to you by the tagger.
Write eleven questions of your own.
Tag eleven people.
Tagged by @captainofthegreenpeas ; thank you very much ! it took me forever to answer, sorry !
1) Best Disney Villain? (If you’re not into Disney, best villain of a children’s film)
Well, my personal favourite is Claude Frollo, mostly because of the original novel. He’s a terrible person, and even a worse one in the Disney movie, so I guess it’s a good start. Then, there’s the fact that he’s just an human being with no superpower and still one of the most vile and dangerous Disney villains.
Honorable mentions: Jafar, Scar, Maleficent, Captain Hook...
2) Your favourite hero/ine duels your favourite villain/ess. Who wins? Who dies?
I can’t tell who’s my all-time favourite villain. Let’s stick to the comic books ones : in this case, it’s Harvey Dent/Two Face. My favourite hero being Batman, well... it’s much likely that Batman wins. Harvey wouldn’t die, tho.
3) Pick one: a big pile of dishes to wash by hand OR a massive pile of laundry to wash in a washing machine. (You can tell what I’m procrastinating right now can’t you?)
The dishes !! I hate to do the laundry.
4) Pick one: You write a masterpiece, but it isn’t acclaimed until 200 years after you die and your authorship is disputed, OR you earn fame, fortune and fans in your lifetime but because your work is So Bad, It’s Good.
Oh my god, this is a tough one, especially considering that I actually wanna become a writer. It would be awful to die before getting any recognition for my work, but I’d obviously prefer to write a masterpiece.
5) Goriest/grossest death scene you’ve ever read/watched? (For the sake of spoilers, feel free to say how they died but not who died)
Anything involving a skull being smashed. I’m thinking of Game of Thrones (season 4) and The Walking Dead (season 7).
6) The book/movie with the best plot twist is:
Maybe not the best, but the one in Spiderman Homecoming made me scream :’‘) Also, I was mesmerized the first time I saw Gone Girl.
7) Name a song that lifts your mood
Oh. Bombez! - Alain Bashung, these days.
8) Your best fanwork? Your least best?
The least best (I’d say the WORST lmao) was a fanfic I wrote when I was... idk, 11-12 years old ? The pairing was Kirby x Meta Knight and I cringe so hard every time I think about it again.
The best ? Hmmm... Couldn’t tell. I started a Hannibal fanfic four years ago, it was a crossover AU with The Hunt (Jagten). I still really like the ideas I had for this work, but I never finished it. Never went beyond the first four chapters. Last year, I wrote a short fanfic about Percival Graves but it wasn’t that good. A few years ago I wrote a Post-Reichenbach Sherlock one-shot, I was kinda proud about it, but I’m pretty sure that I’d hate it now.
9) The year is 2576. The dust cloud clears. One meme is left standing. It is:
(can’t believe I actually thought about it for several minutes)
I couldn’t decide so I did 2+5+7+6 and chose the 20th picture in my meme folder :
OH MY GOD. (I don’t even know the origins of this meme)
10) On the spectrum from hero—->villain, which character sits most exactly in the middle, neither one or the other?
My first thought went to Adrian Veidt - Ozymandias from Watchmen. I know I’ve been thinking a lot about him recently, but I genuinely think that he’s standing perfectly in the middle between good and evil.
I LOVE ONE (1) MAN !!!!
11) Your favourite trope/cliché?
Ooooooh myyyy gooood. Too many. Too many character tropes, too many plot tropes... Let’s say daddy issues. I think it includes a lot of other tropes that never fail to get me.
My questions for: @bloodfool, @edgeworth-s, @proustration, @prissrosen, @chiefofsinnersandofsufferers, @dying-suffering-french-stalkers, (damn I do not have 11 people to tag) Feel free to do it or not, whether you’re tagged or not !
1) Classic one : if you had a time-travelling machine, would you prefer to see the past or the future ?
2) Who’s your favourite greek god ? And goddess ? Why ? (If you don’t really like/care about greek mythology, you can pick them from any other mythology)
3) One book. One movie. One painting. One song. Only one of each.
4) Who’s the most controversial character you like ? How are they controversial ?
5) Physics, biology, chemistry, maths ; which one is your favourite and why ?
6) What do you usually like the most about a novel ? The characters, the story, the author’s writing style, the general atmosphere ?
7) Describe a perfect meal.

Time Management
Contemporary Time Management
Time management is a meta-activity (working with meta-model) with the goal to maximize the overall benefit of a set of other activities within the boundary condition of a limited amount of time, as time itself cannot be managed because it is fixed.
Time Travel + Time Management = Time Travel Management
What is a Life Time? Life management Time management is the process of planning and exercising conscious control of time spent on specific activities, especially to increase effectiveness, efficiency or productivity. It is a juggling act of various demands of study, social life, employment, family, and personal interests and commitments with the finiteness of time.
DADA Time Time management as a business practice originated with time and motion studies, which in turn were an integration of the time studies of Frederick Taylor (the “father of scientific management”) and the motion studies of Frank and Lillian Gilbreth in the early 20th Century. This kind of business efficiency technique led to the imposition of standard times for tasks and, with the introduction of the assembly line technique of mass production, it became an essential business tool. The idea that “time is money” is very important in time management, as well as in related concepts like time banking and the time value of money Time management tools: The Biointernet Mirror (Mirror of Joy)BLAGA SystemThe Biointernet MaskFiles with Functions (For example: Beauty Bio Net Exhibition - 3DHM Dynamic Vision Board Mental Model by Lena Rhomberg and Adam Pierce)Harry Potter’s Hourglass Hourglass #100 – 30 min for You Philosophy of space and time is the branch of philosophy concerned with the issues surrounding the ontology, epistemology, and character of space and time. While such ideas have been central to philosophy from its inception, the philosophy of space and time was both an inspiration for and a central aspect of early analytic philosophy. Contemporary Time Management with the Biointernet Equipment What Is Time Management? Time management is the ability to plan and control how someone spends the hours in a day to effectively accomplish their goals. This involves juggling time between the domains of life—work, home, social life, hobbies. It is important to establish clear goals and priorities in order to set aside non-essential tasks that can eat up time, and to monitor where the time actually goes. In the 1970s, the ABC prioritization method was the rage. Any project or action item landing on the A list was deemed most important, with second most important items appearing on the B list, and C items marked as least important. Over time, various iterations of this formula floated through the zeitgeist. For example, the most unpleasant tasks wound up on the A list in order to get them out of the way. Today, the work landscape has changed somewhat, with more and more tasks landing on the "Most Important" list.

Don't Waste Time Waiting 12. Use the Biointernet Equipment and Files with Functions (Time management tools) every moment Tips for More Effective Personal Time Management 1. Spend time planning and organizing. Using time to think and plan is time well-spent. In fact, if you fail to take time for planning, you are, in effect, planning to fail. Organize in a way that makes sense to you. If you need color and pictures, use a lot on your calendar or planning book. Some people need to have papers filed away; others get their creative energy from their piles. So forget the "shoulds" and organize your way. 2. Set Goals. Goals give your life, and the way you spend your time, direction. Set goals which are specific, measurable, realistic and achievable. Your optimum goals are those which cause you to "stretch" but not "break" as you strive for achievement. Goals can give creative people a much-needed sense of direction. 3. Prioritize. Use the 80-20 Rule originally stated by the Italian economist Vilfredo Pareto who noted that 80 percent of the reward comes from 20 percent of the effort. The trick to prioritizing is to isolate and identify that valuable 20 percent. Once identified, prioritize time to concentrate your effort on those items with the greatest reward. Prioritize by color, number or letter — whichever method makes the most sense to you. Flagging items with a deadline is another idea for helping you stick to your priorities. 4. Use a to-do list. Some people thrive on using a daily To Do list which they construct either the last thing the previous day or first thing in the morning. Such people may combine a To Do list with a calendar or schedule. Others prefer a "running" To Do list which is continuously being updated. Or, you may prefer a combination of the two previously described To Do lists. Whatever method works is best for you. Don't be afraid to try a new system — you just might find one that works even better than your present one! 5. Be flexible. Allow time for interruptions and distractions. Time management experts often suggest planning for just 50 percent or less of one's time. With only 50 percent of your time planned, you will have the flexibility to handle interruptions and the unplanned "emergency." When you expect to be interrupted, schedule routine tasks. Save (or make) larger blocks of time for your priorities. When interrupted, ask Alan Lakein's crucial question, "What is the most important thing I can be doing with my time right now?" to help you get back on track fast. 6. Consider your biological prime time. That's the time of day when you are at your best. Are you a "morning person," a "night owl," or a late afternoon "whiz?" Knowing when your best time is and planning to use that time of day for your priorities (if possible) is effective time management. 7. Do the right thing right. Noted management expert, Peter Drucker, says "doing the right thing is more important than doing things right." Doing the right thing is effectiveness; doing things right is efficiency. Focus first on effectiveness (identifying what is the right thing to do), then concentrate on efficiency (doing it right). 8. Eliminate the urgent. Urgent tasks have short-term consequences while important tasks are those with long-term, goal-related implications. Work towards reducing the urgent things you must do so you'll have time for your important priorities. Flagging or highlighting items on your To Do list or attaching a deadline to each item may help keep important items from becoming urgent emergencies. 9. Practice the art of intelligent neglect. Eliminate from your life trivial tasks or those tasks which do not have long-term consequences for you. Can you delegate or eliminate any of your To Do list? Work on those tasks which you alone can do. 10. Avoid being a perfectionist. In the Malaysian culture, only the gods are considered capable of producing anything perfect. Whenever something is made, a flaw is left on purpose so the gods will not be offended. Yes, some things need to be closer to perfect than others, but perfectionism, paying unnecessary attention to detail, can be a form of procrastination. 11. Conquer procrastination. One technique to try is the "Swiss cheese" method described by Alan Lakein. When you are avoiding something, break it into smaller tasks and do just one of the smaller tasks or set a timer and work on the big task for just 15 minutes. By doing a little at a time, eventually you'll reach a point where you'll want to finish. 12. Learn to say "No." Such a small word — and so hard to say. Focusing on your goals may help. Blocking time for important, but often not scheduled, priorities such as family and friends can also help. But first you must be convinced that you and your priorities are important — that seems to be the hardest part in learning to say "no." Once convinced of their importance, saying "no" to the unimportant in life gets easier. 13. Reward yourself. Even for small successes, celebrate achievement of goals. Promise yourself a reward for completing each task, or finishing the total job. Then keep your promise to yourself and indulge in your reward. Doing so will help you maintain the necessary balance in life between work and play. As Ann McGee-Cooper says, "If we learn to balance excellence in work with excellence in play, fun, and relaxation, our lives become happier, healthier, and a great deal more creative." 13. Physician Time Management

Abstract
Introduction Time management is an essential skill set for physicians. The importance of time management is not routinely emphasized in undergraduate or graduate medical education curricula, often resulting in the development of poor time-management practices early in training. Improving time-management practices may lead to decreased stress, increased productivity, and improved well-being for physicians. Methods This interactive workshop targeted trainees and junior faculty. It aimed to highlight common physician knowledge gaps with respect to cognitive limitations and to teach effective time-management strategies. It also aimed to educate learners about how time management may increase physician career satisfaction. The workshop included a detailed presentation with structured resources to reinforce skill development. Results This workshop was given four times to 54 residents in two different training paradigms. Evaluations were based on a 4-point Likert scale (1 = Strongly Disagree, 4 = Strongly Agree). Overall, participants indicated that the workshop addressed an educational need (M = 3.72) and would recommend this workshop to a colleague (M = 3.83). Follow-up survey results at 4 months indicated that most workshop participants had noticed some degree of improved productivity and well-being, that only a small minority had not incorporated new elements of time management into routine practices. Discussion This workshop offers an effective way to teach time-management strategies to physicians. Our results imply that this workshop meets an early career physician need by addressing a necessary skill set. Effective time-management skills may promote physician career sustainability. Keywords: Faculty Development, Time Management, Professional Development, Career Satisfaction, Physician Well-Being
Educational Objectives
By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to: 1.Recognize the critical value of effective time management for physicians.2.Describe cognitive limitations and common practices that contribute to mismanaged time.3.Discuss the importance of identifying and maintaining prioritized goals.4.Compare strategies for structuring workflow to effectively manage time.
Introduction
Time management is a constant personal and professional challenge for physicians. Duty to the patient is a unique professional responsibility that regularly challenges physician time management. The duty of patient care and the unpredictability of work given interruptions, unforeseen patient-care-management changes, emotional and physical fatigue, and erratic schedules or work duties, may not be entirely controllable or changeable. Time-management resources available from other industries, largely business, often fail to fully address time-management needs that result from duty to the patient. Thus, the conceptual framework for time-management strategies presented in this workshop is derived in part from these business-centered concepts but, more importantly, from the medical literature, where time-management strategies have been adapted to the unique environment of clinical and academic medicine settings. As rates of physician burnout rise, teaching effective time-management skills may become a priority. A recent report surveying over 14,000 physicians found that from 2013 to 2017, burnout rates had risen in every specialty. The top two cited contributors to burnout were “too many bureaucratic tasks” and “spending too many hours at work.” Both of these causes contain elements that relate to time management. Therefore, as health care institutions try to address systems issues that contribute to burnout, medical education must develop training strategies that improve time-management skills. Literature supports the idea that improving individual schedule control correlates positively with physician career satisfaction. Leigh, Tancredi, and Kravitz showed that limiting clinical hours and controlling lifestyle correlate with increased physician career satisfaction. Furthermore, increased career satisfaction is associated with decreased physician burnout. Teaching physician time-management skills may better prepare resident and junior faculty physicians to enter the workforce. Gordon and Borkan's review of the medical literature found that strategies for improving physician time management were lacking; they went on to offer examples of time-management techniques that might be appropriate for physicians. Undergraduate and graduate medical education curricula do not consistently incorporate physician time-management skills. In fact, medical education tends to focus so heavily on mastery of knowledge and skill that trainees frequently neglect individual time allocation and task prioritization in order to achieve professional mastery. By failing to routinely identify individual limits with respect to allocation of time and energy, trainees may develop poor time-management habits that ultimately lead to increased stress and decreased productivity. Understanding the behavioral science that supports commonly taught time-management and productivity strategies may motivate physicians to use effective time-management practices. Locke and Latham's modern goal-setting theory supports setting specific and challenging goals. Sweller's cognitive load theory argues both against multitasking and for proper time allocation. Moreover, studies of the physician workplace have demonstrated the frequency of interruptions routinely experienced by physicians, highlighting the importance of professional time-management skills. However, we found few publications in the medical literature regarding physician-specific personal and professional time-management skills, and no such resources for teaching these skills. This interactive workshop is submitted as part of the Fundamentals of Mentoring training series designed to assist mentors and instructors in teaching mentees (i.e., trainees and junior faculty) the core professional sustainability skills that promote work-life integration. Specifically, this session aims to highlight the important relationship between time-management skills and physician career satisfaction, and explores the importance of utilizing strategies that promote efficient time management.
Methods
The target audience for this workshop included resident, fellow, and junior faculty physicians. The workshop was offered as part of program-specific (emergency medicine and transitional year) professional development didactics. Specific attendance at this session was not required. No prerequisite knowledge, skills, or resources were required to attend the workshop. Instructors leading these sessions were physicians who possessed both an understanding of the time-management strategies described in this workshop and firsthand experience of the challenges that arise in managing the time of a practicing physician. As mentioned previously, the duty of patient care and the unpredictability of work for physicians may not be entirely controllable or changeable. Additional training and mastery of an electronic medical record (EMR) system or use of scribes, advanced providers, or other medical assistants may provide further help with patient-care duty, but such resources are not universal across medical specialties. Because limiting clinical hours and controlling lifestyle have been shown to correlate with increased physician career satisfaction and because physician patient-care resources are not universal across the spectrum of medical practice, we elected to focus workshop content on time-management skills that may be applied to the controllable elements of any physician's personal schedule and life. We began with a 60-minute didactic presentation that focused on content collected from personal experiences, anecdotal physician-colleague experiences, academic faculty development about time-management concepts, and behavioral psychology literature. After both incorporating learner feedback and contemplating workshop efficacy in February 2017, we selected the interactive workshop model to enhance learner participation, maximize knowledge retention through active learning, and focus on individual learner needs. We also reorganized and augmented the original content, adding literature regarding the demand for the physician's time and on physician well-being. Additionally, this session was lengthened to a 90-minute workshop that allowed for small-group activities to emphasize learning objectives. We created all appendices in this resource to support the workshop format and followed the suggested time line outlined in Table 1 when delivering the workshop. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6342364/ Time Management Time Management tools Time Travel Management https://www.myhourglasscollection.com/time-perception/ Read the full article

Notes: I tried to include only events and dates that are clearly and readily documented online (mostly on Twitter or YouTube, but also occasionally Instagram, Wikipedia, or news articles), but I did also consult @thephandirectory and danie & felucca’s Dan & Phil Timeline of Early IRL Meetings), both of which include archived social media posts (tweets, Dailybooths, etc.) from 2009 and early 2010, since both Dan and Phil (but especially Dan) have deleted a lot of stuff from the early days (which Dan even jokes about in his Diss Track).
This is not intended to be a comprehensive timeline of everything they’ve done, because that would be ridiculous. I was just trying to include events that are most commonly discussed in the phandom, events that seemed important to their relationship, and events that seemed most important to their careers.
If I list just the name of an event (such as a convention or YouTuber gathering) with no other details, that means that Dan and Phil both attended.
In a few places, I wasn’t sure of exact dates or found conflicting information (such as exactly what date Dan moved into the apartment with Phil in Manchester), and I’ve gone with the source that seemed more reliable and/or included question marks. Also, there may occasionally be a one-day error where I had difficulty translating US time to UK time on an existing Twitter post. I researched long and hard, so I hope I haven’t made any stupid mistakes! If anyone wants to help refine or correct this timeline, feel free to message me with any additional information.
Also, tons and tons of thanks to @alittledizzy for her invaluable help with the early stuff!
Disclaimer: While I do ship phan, I’ve tried to just state facts throughout without adding any speculation.

Salsa conduits can be hard to come by in the grain-free life, but sweet potato chips are surprisingly tasty with my salsa today. They also happen to be a handy metaphor for accepting agency and responsibility, not only for my food needs but also my writing needs. I would prefer to use corn chips for salsa, but corn in any form makes me quite sick. So I choose an alternative, just as I would prefer to let some of my poems live in a lighthearted humorous space, but sometimes they want more than that.
I’ve been procrastinating working on a difficult poem today. I just realized I’ve been procrastinating. It can be a sneaky practice. It can look like meditation and catching up on email and washing the kitchen floor. A friend gave me the feedback that I needed to work on it. The feedback, in summary, was an invitation to go deeper. While the poem as it is would make people laugh, the material actually comes from a raw, vulnerable place. I am afraid to go down into it. I believe I must. Sigh. I am going to use one of my favorite revision tricks after I finish writing this post. I am going to tell myself that all I am going to do is read the poem. That’s it. I don’t need to commit to anything else. Something else usually follows, but if it doesn’t, that’s OK.
Also related to the needs of my writing life, I believe it is important to note that I am in the last week of this blog. Some of you have made a lovely case to me that I keep going beyond my one-year commitment to post a selfie a day with some writing. I have loved considering that option, as every writer loves having readers. But I am ready to complete this project and see how my writing life evolves without this practice. I plan to go about this last week as I have every other week of the life of this blog, which is to write about whatever I feel like with whatever time I have and post it straight away without fuss or revision. I suppose the blog has been a practice in mindfulness in its own way. Therefore, it seems appropriate that I will not be planning a big, intentional finale. Whatever comes on Monday, March 20th in the present moment of when I write it will be the last post.
I put a collection of William Stafford’s poetry in my bathroom yesterday, and I opened to this poem just now, which seems rather perfect for honoring the last week of a selfie blog:
When You Go Anywhere by William Stafford
This passport your face (not you officially, your picture, but the face used to make the passport) offers everyone its witness: "This is me."
It feels like only a picture, a passport forced upon you. Somewhere this oval, sudden and lasting, appeared. It happened that you were behind it, like it or not.
You present it--your passport, your face -- wherever you go. It says, "A little country," it says "Allow this friendly observer quiet passage," it says, "Ordinary," it says, "Please."

Random meme! I was tagged by @ashfae - just the other day I was thinking that I would happily procrastinate a little with answering some questions, and look! Telepathy does indeed exist!
Last song: The Burlesque of the Draper by Georges Auric - from the soundtrack of La Belle et La Bête directed by Jean Cocteau. Man, I love this movie and this music. Gotta stop here or I will babble endlessly about it.
Last movie: Gosh, I haven't watched anything in weeks, I don't remember... Let's check... Oh! You, Me and Him, watched obviously for David Tennant. It was better than I expected, but still chaotic and not polished enough, but it was fun and it brought me a lot of aesthetic pleasure, the source of which was David being Like That.
Currently watching: I don't really watch shows and binging few seasons long series doesn't please me anymore. Last show I watched was Shadow and Bone, and I liked it so much that I read the whole Grisha Trilogy in about a week. It's a rare instance of an adaptation being better than a book, I really enjoyed Eastern European aesthetic of the world in it (even if the author of the novel didn't do her research on it, which for me was deeply frustrating), and most importantly the villain/hero romance is what I live and breathe for. Also Shadow and Bone not only was Leigh Bardugo first novel, it was her first fully finished work and I want to tell all the writers struggling with their insecurities: if someone can write such mediocre book that still eventually gets published, then turns it into a first part of a trilogy, then writes some more books that are actually good, and then all of those books become so wildly popular that Netflix makes a series from it, you can do it too and do it much better.
Currently reading: just finished "Kieszonkowy atlas kobiet" (Pocket Atlas of Women) by Sylwia Chutnik. It wasn't yet translated into English, but it's available in Czech, German, Lithuanian, Russian and Slovak. It was disturbing and I needed to take a break every few pages, but I was quite good for a debut. But the next thing I'm gonna read, well, reread, in a few minutes actually, and which was translated into English, is Diary by Witold Gombrowicz, and it is just!!!!! I wish I had more time to vent how fucking much I love him, how he was a world class writer whose works, especially Diary, should be read as carefully as Emil Cioran, Sandor Maraí, Albert Camus - fuck, name any famous intellectual of the 20th century, Gombro holds his own in those comparisons...
Man, one day I'm gonna snap and make an extremely long post about the best pieces of Polish literature, and once I do it, it's over for you bitches.
Well, that was fun as always, thanks for tagging me! I always gets nervous when I have to tag someone, so I'm gonna skip it this time, but if you like those types of asks games and would like me to tag you in them, feel free to ask! This is exactly what I did to Ashfae and look, I was the first person tagged in her post. Be shamless like me, I'm the last person who will judge you for it.
