Athena has been Odysseus' patron goddess for most of his life, always intervening when he is in danger, always ensuring the cunning young man comes out on top. Yet she has never fully revealed herself to him - only ever guiding him through visions; whispers from beyond the veil that separates her from the mortal realm.

But it's always been a universal truth that the Olympians envy the human life and desire a taste of the passion and urgency that comes with mortality.

And so Athena finally reveals herself to Odysseus at the end of the Trojan War, offering him a more direct mentorship while joining him on his journey to Ithaca under the guise of a Trojan girl named Thea...

here comes eliza, approaching with no warning to sit close beside eden with a book & pastry in hand. (pastry for her company, book for herself.) she just wants to be close to her, at the moment. “tha’s homemade just for you.” (for miss eden bc i need them to be bffs 😌)

When compared to the rest of her family, it is no secret that Eden takes the longest to warm up to someone. Oftentimes, she finds that people come on a little too strong –– she isn't one to react very fondly to the overly-bubbly types, after all. But this approach... this was one Eden could tolerate.

She first looks at the pastry in Eliza's hand before looking back up at her. Eliza has a warm smile on her face; it's clear she isn't expecting much, just to extend a friendly gesture and perhaps sit for a while. So, even though she pauses for a moment, Eden soon reaches out and accepts the pastry from Eliza. She even scoots over a bit to allow her to sit. ❛ Thank you, ❜ is all she says at first.

Eden moves to unwrap the pastry from the paper Eliza had carried it over in, and she takes a bite. As she does so, her eyes widen a bit. It's delicious. She's soon taking another hasty bite. And another. And another.

❛ Oh my God. ❜ She fully turns her body towards Eliza now, taking a moment to savor the pastry's flavor. ❛ This is fucking delicious. ❜
