My mom loves Tasuku and she hasn’t managed to get Nocturnality Tasuku in English. So, I decided to just do this translation first. I’m supposed to do Glitter Kazu but you know... After this~

Translator’s Note: Sentai can be translated into Squadron, but they like to say Sentai-mono which just translate to Sentai related stuff. Squadron related stuff sounds weird to me so I just decided to keep is as Sentai.

2 class system that Tsumugi mentioned later seemed to be about the fact that there is a “legend” class Sentai Ranger. But to be fair, I’m not that familiar with Ranger thingy so do tell me if it’s not accurate.

Syu:

I guess. It’s just a place for me to enjoy sake alone.

The aftermath of watching UtaPri’s 6th Stage:

1.) Can I just say how extra UtaPri Staff went for this stage? The fountain for Suzu’s stage. Then the ‘hot air balloons’ thingie for Shion & Cecil’s stage? Like it’s not joke this time I swear. The dome too! It’s SO wide that when the lights are concentrated on a specific member, it’s SO FREAKING BEAUTIFUL. Good job, staff!!

2.) I JUST KNEW IT. I knew that Syo & Yamato’s stage would be like this. As soon as they entered the stage I knew that they would be on wires. It didn’t come for the first few minutes but in the middle it did. I wonder how Ryohei felt twirling around like that. Last time I remembered, he was pretty scared of heights during Trignal’s stage saying he wonders how people can lift their hands off from the railings when they’re lifted up with the cranes XD

3.) OTOYA. MY PRECIOUS OTOYA. When Terashii entered the stage during their ‘Next Door’ stage it just broke my heart. He just looked freaking broken the entire time T_T I remembered how Otoya was during the 4th season. It gave me feels all over again. It wasn’t like Otoya at all! I’m still thankful for Eiichi though, for showing us a new side of Otoya

4.) The BIGGEST SHOCK of the night goes to - *dun* *dun* *dun* *dun* okay that was bad sfx - KIIYAN CRIED. Ever since going to the seiyuu world not once have I ever thought I’d see Kiiyan cry like that. He’s usually the one who bullies people after all. It was a weird yet refreshing sight to see.

But the whole thing was a crying fes really, never expected UtaPri ending ments to be like that at all. The people I expected to cry didn’t, those I never expected to cry did. It was a surprise really. It just shows that these people really love UtaPri after all ^^

For mushroompirate, who asked for Hinata taking care of Shino's kikaichuu. I always thought it was funny how none of Shino's friends quite get used to his kikaichuu in the series. :) Warning for creepy-crawlie stuff, though it's more for comic effect.

She didn't understand. She didn't. Dogs got sick: Akamaru had a very nasty worm that required hospitalization for several days, much to Kiba's frantic, hair-tearing worry. Deer got sick: Shikamaru said he'd personally treated several one day, as they both mashed up herbs for healing salves. Turned out that the Nara clan was just as skilled as the Hyuuga at making those, as they had to tend to quite a few deer in their large forest estates outside Konoha.

Birds and pets and livestock and humans, all got sick. This, Hinata was quite aware of. They required rest, and medicine, and recovery. This was common sense.

That...was common sense.

This...was a bizarre, disturbing nightmare scenario, one that wouldn't vanish no matter how many times she pinched herself.

The Aburame, being human beings like everyone else, were also not immune to illness. Unfortunately, they were not normal human beings by any stretch of the imagination. If they got sick, then so did...

"Will they be all right?" Shino asked Tsunade-sama, his voice watery and thick with tears.

Hinata pinched her arm again, as hard as she possibly could. She even injected a bolt of chakra into one of her tenketsu, and accomplished nothing but a painful red welt.

It was real. It was all real.

How she wished this wasn't real.

"Yes, yes. Your Hiro-chan will be fine, Shino," Tsunade-sama said, rolling her eyes. (Why was she rolling her eyes? Was she not disturbed? This was a nightmare scenario that not even the worst of Kurenai-sensei's genjutsu could inflict.)

"What about Tatsuki? And Akira? And Aiko? And – "

He named them. All of them.

He was listing them out. All of them.

"Yes, yes, they'll all be fine. Now one of your teammates has to administer this medicine to you three times a day – no, Shino, you cannot do this yourself. It requires external application..."

She wondered if she could knock herself out and be hospitalized too, if she exerted her jyuuken in just the right proportions. That sounded nice. Hospitalization.

She always did her best to respect Shino's bond with his kikaichuu. She did. But she had to draw the line somewhere. That line was shoving the feverish, ill, mucus-encrusted kikaichuu back into his eyes and nose after they'd slowly and steadily dripped out during the course of his nasty flu.

No. Absolutely not.

A fragment of a memory flitted into her mind. Several years ago, Team 8 had gone into an onsen and Kiba had started screaming, hadn't he?

She'd asked Kiba what the matter was, hadn't she? Only to be met with a stare of black, empty terror.

Why didn't he warn her, why didn't he, why didn't –

Otsutsuki Hotaru was born beneath the moonlight. The first and only child of Otsutsuki Indra was born with hair dark as coal and eyes who outshone the night sky.

Little Hotaru was crowned with a legacy above her head and a dark presence living in her father's shadows.

She was came to the world with a both cursed and blessed fate, the beginning of a line that would dance far too much between love and madness.

"Careful with those eyes of yours, little girl. For they greatest illusion will be the peace for your children and their legendary beauty will be born out of hatred between your kin."

"You lie." Hotaru told the toad sage coldly. "For power is like a sword, not blessed or acursed creature. A weapon is nothing but that, its wielder is the one to blame and madness has no lovers, only those who seek her."

.....

"Hotaru-san!"

The Otsutsuki heiress turned her head to where her name was being called just in time to see the florist's son - her cousin, Hyuuga Haruna, 's friend - running toard her.

Tatsuki Hiro smiled at her like she was the moon herself, made to reign the night that lighted the sky above the earth. Hotaru could feel her heart beating in her chest, fluttering like a peculiar rhythm.

"Look at this new flower that sprouted this lovely lands we live into." Hiro said cherfull, holding out a flower with red and white colours with . "What should we named it?"

"It bears the similarities of a fan." Hotaru pointed out. "What about...Uchiha?"

The beamming smile she recived made her face turn red.

.....

In the end, it is that plant creature that manages to kill her.

She's fighting with fire and rage that burn brighter than the sun. For her children, for her husband, for her cousins, nephews and nieces.

She's fighting for her father. A man she's once treasured dearly and now is lost to madness that this acursed creature brought to her family.

She's fighting for herself above all.

Just like she once swore to that old toad, to banish madness with love. And for all that is worthy, she succeeds...

...and pays the price for it.

"Neesan!" Her sweet cousin catches her as she falls to earth, the place where she was born.

Hotaru let out a dry laught, beautiful crimson coloring her pale face. "I did it, I banished the acursed thing that haunted my sire's mind! We will not be doomed by the same despair that our fathers were! My dear cousin! My brother! Do not let our children forgot this, for we are family, now and forever!"

Taking her hands in his own for the last time, Otsutsuki Kinoe gave the Uchiha's matriarch a sad smile. "I do promise you, dear sister of my heart and soul. Your line is not cursed, but blessed with the bravery and love of their foremother. Sleep, my beloved sister and rest in peace."

And so was sealed the fate of the Uchiha clan.

If anyone is curious, I did actually make a loose timeline for my own fic, which includes some worldbuilding:

YEAR 0 [KONOHA FOUNDING] - Konoha is founded between the Uchiha and Senju clans. More clans join Konoha in the subsequent years. An alliance is forged between Konoha and Uzushio.

YEAR 3 - The Shimura clan joins Konoha.

YEAR 5 - The Sarutobi clan joins Konoha.

YEAR 6 - The Senju clan begins to break up.

YEAR 10 - The Inuzuka clan joins Konoha

YEAR 13 - The Hyuuga clan joins Konoha.

YEAR 16 - The Shinobi Academy is officially set up. Konoha's first students, Uchiha Kagami, Uchiha Fugaku's father, and Sarutobi Hiruzen among them.

YEAR 17 - Uchiha Madara, clan head of the Uchiha, defects from Konoha, fighting and dying by Senju Hashirama's hand at the Valley of the End. His sister, Uchiha Eikō, becomes the new co-clan head with her husband Ōdō.

YEAR 21 - The Nara and Akimichi clans join Konoha. The invitation to the Yamanaka clan is regarded with suspicion and rejected. Individual Yamanaka join Konoha.

YEAR 23 - The Hatake clan joins Konoha under clan head Hatake Suki.

YEAR 30 - First Shinobi War breaks out. Senju Tsunade, one of Hashirama's granddaughters, is born.

YEAR 31 - Hatake Sakumo is born.

YEAR 33 - Uchiha Kagami and his wife have twins - a girl Chiaki (Obito's mother), and a boy. Uchiha Yasu (Obito’s grandmother) and her husband, Uchiha Kyōdai have their second child, a boy -- Hiro (Obito's father).

YEAR 34.5 - Uchiha Kagami dies in the war.

YEAR 35 - The Shodai Hokage, Senju Hashirama dies. His brother, Tobirama, is named the Nidaime Hokage. Uchiha Kagami's second son (Shisui's father) is born.

YEAR 36 - The Nidaime, Tobirama dies during the war. Hiruzen Sarutobi is named Sandaime Hokage.

YEAR 37 - The First Shinobi War ends.

YEAR 39 - The Yamanaka clan joins Konoha.

YEAR 42 - Namikaze Minato is born.

YEAR 43 - The Fire Daimyo makes attempts to seize his eroding power back and establish his court as the power centre of Fire Country by attempting to destabilise Konoha over the next two years.

YEAR 44 - Uzumaki Kushina is born in Uzushiogakure, the youngest of the Uzumaki main branch, and to the younger brother of the Uzumaki clan head.

YEAR 45 - Konoha claims supreme executive power from the Daimyo and Keishi. Konohagakure becomes the capital of Fire Country. The Daimyo is deposed and his younger brother given the title of lordship. The title and court of Daimyo is kept out of respect to traditional and divine right but all executive power is stripped from the position.

YEAR 53 - Second Shinobi War breaks out.

YEAR 54 - Uzushiogakure is destroyed by an alliance of Kiri, Yuga, and hired free Shinobi. There is rumour that Kumo lent aid but this is never confirmed. Konoha, locked in fierce conflict in the west, sent a paltry defence force which was quickly overcome.

YEAR 56 - Second Shinobi War ends. Uchiha Obito is born to Uchiha Hiro and Uchiha Chiaki. Nohara Rin is born.

YEAR 57 - Hatake Kakashi is born to Hatake Sakumo and his mother.

YEAR 60 - Hatake Sakumo and his comrades fail an assassination attempt of retainers of the Kumo Daimyo and Iwa diplomats, revealing Konoha's involvement, which sparks significant tension between Iwa, Kumo, and Konoha as Sakumo chooses to save his comrade over the completion of the mission. There are outbreaks of skirmishes with Iwa and Kumo as a result.

YEAR 62 - Hatake Sakumo commits suicide as a result of his social disgrace. Kakashi is five years old.

YEAR 64 - Uchiha Shisui is born.

YEAR 67 - Third Shinobi War begins after six years of building tension, despite efforts to relieve tension via covert operations. Uchiha Itachi is born. Kakashi is ten years old.

YEAR 69 - events of Kannabi Bridge. Uchiha Obito is reported as KIA.

YEAR 70 - Rin is captured by Kirigakure and made the Sanbi Jinchuuriki. She commits suicide. The Third War ends and Minato becomes the Yondaime Hokage.

YEAR 71 - Naruto is born. The Kyuubi is unleashed and wrecks havoc on Konoha. Minato and Kushina die.

YEAR 83 - Naruto and co graduate from the academy. Part 1 story begins.

Kit 1: Nara Sayuri - loner, emotionally soft, slow to anger but viciously tempered. She has the most normal home life with her parents being absent physically and emotionally more often than not. Not many friends outside of Team Uzumaki. Naruto calls her Yuyu-chan.

Gremlin 2: Hyuuga Hatsumomo - the human form of the “kitten thinks about murder all day long” meme. Small, long black/brown hair, vicious. Naruto calls her Momo-chan.

Kit 3: Masahiro - clanless orphan, obsessed with fire, dark green hair, practical but clingy with attachment issues. Growing his hair out to match the girls/Naruto. Naruto calls him Hiro-chan

“Uchiha-sama.”

Hisae no longer bowed, but she was still carefully formal. Madara didn’t turn. After a beat, she walked up to him.

“Hokage-sama spoke to me earlier.”

“Did he.” Madara blew out a winding column of blue smoke. It curled around the morning breeze, then faded. “Did you tell him anything?”

“I did not.”

“Good.”

He’d been given a small space behind his house to “build a garden”, in Hashirama’s words, but he’d never had the time for it. It was useless anyway, since Madara’s fingers were more red than green. Now, however, there was something growing. It must’ve been a seed from somewhere carried in on the wind. A bush, if he had to guess. He stared at it as he smoked, trying to picture it fully-grown.

“So… a month.” He heard Hisae sit down. “It’s happening very soon. I… I don’t feel like I have thanked you enough.”

“You don’t need to.”

Maybe it was a camellia bush. Madara had seen Hashirama growing a few around the Hokage tower. It was a shame, really, that it was growing now – this autumn was unusually warm, extending the false summer by a few more weeks, but it would inevitably die when winter came. False hopes, growing right here in his garden.

“Uchiha Hisae – it has a nice sound to it.” He heard her move. She came closer, until he could feel her breath on the back of his neck. “I know that you are doing this because you pity me, but I meant what I said. I can be a good wife to you.”

She touched him. Her hands slid over his back, then down his sides. Madara’s grip on his pipe tightened. “I won’t lie – I was a little afraid when I first met you. You seemed so stern. But since we have this month before we are married, maybe we could know each other, make it easier for both of us -”

Madara grabbed her hands, stopping them. “Let go,” he said.

She did. “... I’m sorry.”

“I never intended to get married,” Madara told her. He tapped out the ash from his pipe. “The reasons why have not changed.”

“You don’t like women, do you?”

Madara paused. Hisae took the opportunity to scoot up next to him. Her face was peaceable despite his rejection, and her hands were primly folded in her lap. “You’re a man who likes other men,” she said.

He examined her expression for any disgust. “So I am.”

To his surprise, she just smiled. It was tinged with a trace of sadness. “Ah. That does explain it. I’d hoped otherwise, that maybe I could…” she trailed, shrugging mildly. “We won’t consummate, will we?”

“I don’t think so, no.”

Hisae was silent, her eyes roving over Madara’s face, then she laughed a little. “I really am placing a burden on you, aren’t I? Begging you to marry me, a man who has no interest in women. I am sorry for that. If I could change that, I would.”

“Why haven’t you?” Madara rubbed his thumb over his pipe, tracing the fan carved into the wood. “The Caged Bird seal – it’s disgusting. How long have you known?”

“Hiroshige and I were born two years apart. Mother wanted to see which one of us would be stronger. Normally, siblings from the Main family aren’t sealed, but when mother was young, there was a fight over who would inherit. She doesn’t want that to repeat again.”

“So she’s going to seal you.”

“Sacrifices are always made.” Hisae’s laugh turned bitter. “Though it seems it’s usually other people making the sacrifices.”

“So why hasn’t your clan stopped doing it? The Branch family has even more people than the Main, right? There’s enough of you to fight.”

Hisae looked down at her hands. She had fine hands, he noticed. Finer hands than a kunoichi really ought to have. Weak, hissed a cruel part of him.

“The Caged Bird,” she said, “isn’t just a seal. It’s so much more – it’s a prison. If you live inside it long enough, then it becomes all you ever know. The Branch family doesn’t fight. They never do, even when they should. It’s like – it’s like they forgot how to.”

Hisae clenched her fists and looked at him. Madara wanted to look away from her brittle expression. “This world is divided in half,” she said. “There are the strong, and then there are the weak. I… I was not born strong. I tried to change this. I wanted to be strong. I wanted to win.” Her fists tightened further, her knuckles growing white. “But I’m not strong. No matter how hard I try, there’s a difference between me and Hiro, one I just can’t cross. I hate it. I hate it. I knew what was going to happen years ago and I just… I just…”

She exhaled harshly. “I wanted to die. I thought about dying. But now, I know – I want to live. Even if I have to beg, even if I have to crawl, I want to live.”

“I will not marry you.”

Today, Hisae was in a demure lavender kimono, her hair pulled back by a painted comb. When he spoke, she clenched her hands into fists on her lap and her shoulders pulled tight, like piano wire. Though her face was angled down, he saw her mouth pinch.

“Tell your mother that Konoha will negotiate over land and supplies, not marriages.”

Hisae said nothing. Madara waited.

“... am I… not pleasing?” she asked, her voice so soft that he struggled to catch it.

“This isn’t personal.”

“Uchiha-sama, I -” she looked up. Her eyes were shiny with unshed tears. “- I don’t know where I failed, but please, give me another chance. I will be a good wife to you.”

Madara was unmoved. “Land,” he said again, “and supplies. Your clan is not in a position where you can turn that down.”

Her lips wobbled. When it looked like she might cry, Madara sighed and stood up. “Never mind, I’ll talk to Hitomi-san myself. You can stay here.”

“Please!” she cried, throwing herself down. Madara lurched back, shocked. Hisae flung herself into a peasant’s bow, her arms thrown out and her forehead on the tatami, “Please, Uchiha-sama, please marry me!”

“Stop.” Madara forced himself to relax but a muscle in his jaw jumped.

“I will be a good wife, I promise! I will give you everything you could ever want, anything at all! You will be my lord, my master, please just…!” She grabbed his ankle, sobbing, but Madara pulled away. He’d expected bargaining, not waterworks.

“I’m not -”

“You don’t understand!” Hisae said. “If you don’t marry me, they’ll give me the seal. I need this marriage, I need it!”

“What are you saying?”

Hisae looked up at him. She was no longer the fine, controlled kunoichi. Her hair was in disarray, flyaways stuck to her wet cheeks, and she was shaking all over, desperation and fury thrumming in her limbs. “The Caged Bird seal,” she said. “It was between me or Hiro, and Hiro’s stronger.”

Hiro… Hiroshige. The Hyuuga who would inherit, her brother. “You’re marrying me to get out of it.”

“I need this marriage,” Hisae said. She grabbed the hem of Madara’s kimono tightly. “Please. If I have to be a slave, then let me be one man’s slave. I can be a good wife, I promise.”

Madara closed his eyes, shutting out her face. Her hand felt like it was heavier than the world. I don’t want to, he thought. I don’t want to marry you. He turned his face up, waiting for something, anything, to intervene just this once. If the gods were there, why were they silent?

Hisae let him go. Madara grabbed her wrist. He pulled her up roughly, ignoring her yelp of pain, and he forced her to stand. “Get up.”

“Forgive me-!”

“No more crying.” He wiped her cheeks and pushed her hair back. “No more bowing. My wife is not a woman who bows, not even to me.”

Hisae stared at him uncomprehendingly. Then she cried again, and threw her arms around his neck, and Madara caught her as she collapsed, sobbing once more.

Madara crouched down. He touched the soft green shoots in the corner of his garden. They were soft. Delicate. If he added a little more pressure, he’d crush its new leaves and it would die by nightfall. It was probably more practical. If he crushed this growth now, the roots could be dormant through the winter and try again during the spring, when it was actually supposed to grow.

Trying so hard to live now, wasn’t it pointless? Hisae was just exchanging one master for another. Someone weak like her, she would always be living under the yoke of the strong. Why not just die?

Madara brushed his thumb over its thin stem. Easy to break. Easy to die.

He remembered a cold sunset and a burnt battlefield. He remembered begging the red heavens for salvation with blood in his mouth. Living was pain. That was how you knew were alive, because death never hurt.

Living, even on your knees – wasn’t that worth something?

Translator’s Note: I translate Meka-Hakase as Mecha Doctor. It can actually be translated as mechanics, but there’s an otaku/childish connotation behind the word which is not translated properly if I use mechanics, thus I chose to translate it as Mecha Doctor instead.

Also, Tenma and Tasuku’s character name seems to be the same. I translated it to different name but Homare mentioned that those 2 has the same name so I guess they really do. I wrote their actual name as well in the play for clarity purpose because of this.

By actually watching the hero show, I could directly feel the atmosphere of the performance. The action was great and impactful too.
