jumping the gun like I always do, but when I saw the trailer for doctor slump I already knew I wanted to watch it. I realize I really like hyungsik, or rather the way he looks, the way he acts, and the roles he portrays are believable and attractive to me. If you were to ask me which korean actor I think pulls off the ACTUAL golden retriever boyfriend style I would say hyungsik is at the top of the list. he's objectively handsome but funny and sweet in such an organic natural way. please don't snipe me in the back of the head for this but I think hyungsik could've done song kang's role in my demon at least 10x better than he could... I'M SORRY!!!!!!! I like song kang but as much as he looks like (and was written kinda to be) the puppy-esque kind of guy he's not. he's like... the sweet home-esque kind of guy. hyungsik has superb comedic timing that makes his characters funny but not too wacky. there's a magnetism about him that makes me want to watch his dramas and I know he's been in more productions since do bong soon, but his is the ONLY show he's in since then that I feel compelled to watch for the plot so this shit better be good!!!!

BASICS: FULL NAME: Nam Dae-eun NICKNAMES: Dae DATE OF BIRTH: 1992.05.12 AGE: 32 HOMETOWN: Boston, MA ORIENTATION: Straight GENDER: Cis man, he/him ETHNICITY: Korean OCCUPATION: Journalist
PHYSICAL: FACECLAIM: Park Hyungsik HEIGHT: 6'1" / 185cm BUILD: Tall, broad SKIN: Pale HAIR: Dark brown EYES: Dark brown
PERSONALITY: + traits: Kind, polite, charismatic, an open book, responsible, modest - traits: Nosy, pushy, stubborn, tenacious, oblivious, hyper-focused
BACKGROUND:
Nam Dae-eun grew up in Marina and Boston with his [younger/older] sister, [open connection!], and their two parents. When their mother left, the family moved to Marina. Dae didn't really care for it there, but stayed until he was done with school and could move back up to Boston.
He was always a very curious kid. Most of the children his age at school didn’t care for him all that much—they found him annoying, but Dae-eun didn’t understand why. He spent a lot of time hanging out with his sister; otherwise, he hid his nose in books.
Their father was a very successful lawyer, and generally very caught up with work. Their mother left when they were young, so the two were primarily raised by nannies and each other. Because of this, Dae tends to be a bit of a worrywart when it comes to his sister.
His writing excelled from early on, even his earliest essays receiving top marks. He knew from a young age that he wanted to be a journalist and never wavered, ending up going to Emerson on a full-ride scholarship.
He finally achieved his dream career at 23, at a popular newspaper in his city.
After a couple of years, he became the chief journalist at his station, the youngest to receive the title in years.
He decided to move back to Marina to try and reconnect with his sister. Ever since he moved back, he’s been renting a tiny house in Locke Row. (He'll get something better eventually.)
OTHER (didn’t fit anywhere else):
this man. refuses. to use emojis. emoticons all the way.
has a masters in journalism from emerson. he’s an overachiever.
he was in the debate club in high school. yeah.
he wants a puppy. this will happen at some point.

[ park hyungsik, cis male, he/him ] - was that NAM DAE-EUN i saw by the lighthouse today? i heard that the THIRTY-ONE year old who has been in nightrest for THREE WEEKS and works as a JOURNALIST has a reputation of being KIND, but also NOSY. he resides in LOW POINT & people in town usually associate him with NOTEPADS AND PENCILS WITH LOTS OF SCRIBBLED NOTES, LONG COATS TO COMBAT THE COLD TEMPS, and A CURIOSITY THAT KILLED THE CAT. let’s hope the killer doesn’t go after him next.

BASICS: FULL NAME: Nam Dae-eun NICKNAMES: Dae DATE OF BIRTH: 1992.05.12 AGE: 31 HOMETOWN: Boston, MA (but he just says he's from "New England.") ORIENTATION: Straight GENDER: Cis male, he/him ETHNICITY: Korean OCCUPATION: Journalist

BACKGROUND:
Nam Dae-eun grew up in New England with his older sister and two parents.
He was always a very curious kid. Most of the children his age at school didn't care for him all that much—they found him annoying, but Dae-eun didn't understand why. He spent a lot of time hanging out with his older sister.
NIGHTREST:
A few months ago, he began to hear whispers about the little-known town of Nightrest. Intrigued, he asked his boss to let him do a piece on it. The mythology of the locale felt as though it was calling to him, and the more he thought about it, the more excited he got.
After much procrastination, his boss agreed. Dae-eun packed his bags that night, arriving in Nightrest early the next morning.
Ever since then, he’s been renting an apartment in Low Point, walking around the town and listening to conversations (read: bugging people for information) whenever possible. He’s determined to get to the bottom of whatever it is that’s happening here in the town.
And that was all before the murders started.
Now, Dae-eun is disturbed. He only arrived in Nightrest three weeks ago, but his investigative instincts have kicked into overdrive, and he’s getting pushier. Nosier. More eager for information. Before, he was just vaguely bothersome, but now he’s starting to get on people’s nerves.
If he’s not careful, something very bad is going to happen to him very soon.

WANTED CONNECTIONS:
his older sister. [see the main's wanted connections page]
somebody that doesn't care about his millions of questions, they just like being friends with him anyway. likely one of the first people that greeted him when he moved into town.
he is bound to make a lot of enemies—when i tell you this man is nosy as hell... so yeah enemies/rivals are always appreciated.
perhaps a rival journalist? someone he didn't expect to come down here, and now he feels competitive, like he has to get the scoop first (even if the other journalist doesn't feel that way).
a romantic interest. [please note that i'm not down to rp nsfw content!]
an ex that ended on good terms.
somebody show this man to the speakeasy at queen's. he would lose his mind. think of all the stuff he could hear there.
as of right now, i don't have much off of the top of my head! i know i'd like his older sister at some point, but i need to pin down the details. for now, i'm down for anything! feel free to shoot me all your plotlines—lovey-dovey, angsty, just chat-y, whatever. i'll update this soon! going to do some starters and then head on back. <3

Hi Chelle! Can I request some fluffy hyungsik for chats this week please and thank you for your work, I loved your series this week 💞
Thank you for reading my series!
Pairing: Park Hyungsik x female reader
Word count: 427
______________________
"How much did you miss me?"
"A lot," you answered with a smile, turning back to the food you were cooking.
Hyungsik wrapped his arms around your waist and rested his head upon your shoulder. "But how much, exactly?"
"Why? Did you buy me a gift and want me to butter you up before you hand it over?" you teased, your smile falling when he didn't respond. "Oh, you're just asking."
"Do I have to buy you a gift to get buttered up?"
"Well, you're not a piece of toast. Why would I want to do that to you for no reason?" you wondered, and your partner stepped back, pouting heavily. "Hyungsik, please!"
"I've been away for weeks with work and you can't even appease my needy little request?" he asked dramatically, and you couldn't hide the roll of your eyes fast enough. He gasped noisily. "How could you!"
"You're being ridiculous! As if you didn't know how much I missed you with all the phone calls and messages I sent. Come on, Sikkie!"
"I don't want to eat with you now."
"That's fine, you can starve," you bit back, and he gaped at you. "What?"
"Don't you want to be sickeningly cute with one another like in that k-drama you made me watch with you?"
You burst into laughter. "Oh, the one that you starred in, you mean? I'm no strong woman, babe."
"I don't know, you're being plenty strong right now fighting off my advances," he admitted, and you softened, turning to face the man. He looked at you wounded, as if you had raised your hand at a puppy.
You sighed.
"I missed you so much, you fool. Why do you think I'm cooking your favourite meal tonight? It's a lot of work for me, but I wanted to spoil you. Because I love you."
The smug smile showed you that everything was alright in paradise again. You couldn't help but laugh again at his antics. Hyungsik sidled up next to you and brushed his lips against your ear. "I'm sorry. I didn't quite catch that last line of yours."
"I wanted to spoil you?" you offered airily and pursed your lips together when his mouth came into contact with your neck.
"Nuh-uh. What you said after that."
"Huh. I can't seem to remember now."
"Should I remind you?" he asked, still kissing a trail along your neck.
You shivered with delight. "I love you. Far too much."
"But how much?" he asked cheekily and you swatted at him, whining at the same time.

so the holiday kdrama au
the holiday kdrama version i am thinking... one of them lives in jeju and the other one in seoul (don’t @ me i like the ocean). cameron diaz character would be someone like: uee or lee ji ah, maybe seo hyun jin? idk im trying to picture someone that looks like a city girl but also is good at romcoms. iu is too young. jeon hye bin? esom! i feel like either esom or uee.
kate winslet character is kang mal geum for sure.
jude law must be a hot man that doesn’t annoy me and is good at romcom (and cant be so ji sub bc he’s too old for the women im thinking of)
jung kyung-ho? he is hot, he doesn't annoy me, he should do more romcoms and we know he is funny. who else? jcw redeeming himself in an actual good romcom? idk he doesn't vibe with the women i’m choosing. ngl this is THE role for jung hae in but i’m still mad at him, so idk. (it is the role for him, reclusive father...GOD). ldw wouldnt vibe with esom nor uee. wait wait seo kang joon! but idk if i can visualize him as a father, maybe after army? i am typecasting him bc of wtwif. ok i see it. an bo hyun. i can see him as a father and reclusive man, he doesnt annoy me and neither does he look bad with the women im imagining it.
yoo si yon in the jack black role because he is so funny and deserves a good drama and it would also be a noona romance. what’s not to love. dont @ me. either him or hyungsik bc he can play puppy so WELL.
other men for jude law that came to mind: junyeol or lee he joon (but he overacts, idk...)
so cameron diaz would be: uee/esom
jude law: an bo hyun or junyeol
kate winsled: kang mal geum
jack black: yoo si yon (or hyungsik)
#i was bored#maybe there are better picks out there#this is what i imagined#should i make gifs? is my vision awful? let me know

EXPECTATIONS !
SUMMARY :: In which Chloe’s father doesn’t live up to her expectations. CHARACTERS :: Chloe Kwon, Kim Minho, Kwon Hyungsik, Kim Jimin, Kwon Hyeri, Min Yerim WORDS :: 2.5K WARNINGS :: bad parents, crying, mentions of money problems ( if i missed anything let me know ! )
2017 !
Chloe took a deep breath as she stepped off of the subway, keeping her head down in hopes that nobody around her would notice the girl making her way around the city. To say she was nervous would be an understatement. Today was the day, the day she had been waiting for since before she even became a trainee, the day she had been hoping for since she decided to come halfway around the world to become a singer. She was finally meeting her dad. Well, officially, she had, of course met him before she could remember, but in all of her earliest memories, the unknown man was nowhere to be seen.
When her Yerim told her that someone claiming to be her father wanted to get in contact with her, she had been skeptical, but the more information the man had given her made it clear that he was actually the man she was looking for.
Her mother had alway told her that her father went back to Korea when she was little, having to take care of some big company overseas, not having much time to come back and visit. As a child, Chloe had believed her mother’s words wholeheartedly, reciting them back to the mean kids on the playground that would make fun of her for her lack of a father figure. She believed her, she had nothing else to go off of and her child-like brain could only think of that unknown man like some sort of king. She made her way to Korea in hopes of becoming a big start her king-like father could be proud of, making him want to meet her and be in her life for the rest of it. Though Chloe, now seventeen years old, realized that this Kwon Hyungsik person is probably nowhere like the king she had imagined in her head all of this time.
Chloe shook the thoughts out of her head, pushing through the crowds lightly, careful to not turn too many heads, though she could barely contain herself with her fast-paced heart. She felt Minho’s presence behind her, not letting her go anywhere alone, especially to meet a stranger, but also giving her the space to feel like the meeting was something intimate.
Minho was the whole reason she was even able to actually meet up with her father, Yerim being against it since the very beginning, though all it took was one set of puppy dog eyes from Chloe and a sweet smile from Minho to convince the older woman on the sole condition that Minho would be there the entire time. Chloe supposes that it makes sense, though she couldn’t help the small feeling of annoyance at knowing that Minho would be witnessing such a monumental moment for her. Still, she supposes that she should thank the older man for even allowing this to happen. She continued through the crowded streets, reminding herself to do that on their way home.
The small park they agreed to meet at came closer, or at least Chloe expected it to be close with all of the playful screams of children getting louder and louder the more she walked about. It wasn’t too far from the entrance, people milling in and out, kids running all around and Chloe could feel her heart rate pick up at the thought of going into the park, the thought of looking through all of those people to find her dad.
Her mind was heavy with thoughts, Chloe not even realizing she missed the entrance until she felt a body come up behind her.
“Chloe,” Minho’s deep voice filled her ears, pulling her out of her thoughts as he came up beside her, his hand resting casually in his pockets as he looked forward, sunglasses covering his eyes. “Is there a reason you walked straight past the entrance to the park?”
“Nope,” she replied, far too quickly, continuing forward. “I just missed it.”
“Yeah,” Minho replied, nodding his head and Chloe could tell he didn’t buy it. “You know, it’s okay to be nervous, right?”
“I’m not nervous,”
“Of course you aren’t,” he said, not once looking at her and Chloe was grateful for that. “But, if you were, it’s probably very normal to be nervous in this situation.”
Chloe just nodded, continuing to walk around the park, circling it to find the next entrance, hoping she will have psyched herself up enough to walk through the gate. They walked in silence for some moments, Minho knowing that Chloe didn’t want to talk, or at least didn’t want to be pushed to talk about what was going through her head.
Suddenly, Chloe let out a loud sigh. “I just built up this whole idea of him in my head,” she looks over to Minho, who is still staring forward. “What if he doesn’t live up to it?”
The older man just shrugged, finally shooting the younger a look. “He probably won’t,” he said finally, looking back forward. “You can’t expect people to live up to the perfect version you have in your head, that’s just normal.”
“Wow, way to make me feel better,” Chloe muttered, crossing her arms over her chest as she kicked some of the small rocks littering the sidewalk.
“I’m serious!” he replied, holding his hands up in fake surrender. “Do you still want to meet him, even if he isn’t perfect?”
“Yes,” her voice was small and she refused to look at the older man.
“Then why the hell does it matter if he doesn’t live up to this god-like figure you have in your head.”
Chloe thought about it. She had spent her entire life wanting to meet her dad, so what if he wasn’t this rich CEO her mom had put in her head. She just longed for that other parental figure that she missed growing up. Her mom had done a great job raising her, she loved her a lot and put all of her effort into giving Chloe the best life she could, but she could help the part of her that wanted to know her dad was and have him in her life for the first time that she could remember.
She let out a final sigh, nodding her head at the older man next to her, wasting no time to turn around and walk through the gates to the crowded park. Chloe looked around, trying to spot someone who looked out of place in the large sea of people. Her eyes scanned over the people one by one, looking at each person’s face, hoping to see some sort of resemblance between the man she was looking for and her.
“Chloe?” a voice questioned from behind her, stopping her in her tracks as she whipped her head around to look at the source of the new voice.
The man in front of her looked nothing like what she had pictured. Chloe knew she looked like her mother, it was something that everyone who knew her mom from when they were kids commented on each time they would see her, but she at least thought that she would get some of her genes from her father. His wide, friendly-looking face started back at her with his eyes creasing in a warm smile, wrinkles adorning his face much more than she would expect. He was dressed normally, definitely not in the expensive clothes Chloe had pictured ever since she was younger, but it didn’t bother Chloe one bit.
“Dad?” she questioned and she could hear her voice cracking as happy tears welled up in her eyes.
The man in question smiled, nodding lightly before taking the final steps toward Chloe, wrapping her in a tight hug. The hug felt warm and safe and Chloe was surprised with how she didn’t feel awkward in the slightest and the contact with the unknown man.
When they finally pulled away, her father gave her a once over. “You’ve gotten so big, I could hardly believe it was you when I saw you on TV.”
“You watched me on TV?” Chloe felt her heart soar at the idea of her father seeing her performing and being proud of her for doing so.
“Yes,” he smiled. “I was walking past a shop when you were an MC on one of those music shows and I instantly knew it was you, you look so much like your mother.”
“I get that a lot,” she replied, looking down at her feet, a small laugh leaving her lips. The mention of her mother made her shy, and she wasn’t sure if it was because she was unsure of the way things ended between them, something her mother never talked about.
She opened her mouth to reply, words hanging on her lips as she stared back at the man she wished she knew far before this, when a high-pitched squeal knocked her out of her thoughts.
“Daddy!” the voice said and Chloe probably would have thought nothing of it if her father’s head didn’t whip around at the sound.
His eyes landed on a young girl, no more than three or four, who was jumping excitedly from her spot perched on top of the large slide, her hands waving back and forth to grab her father’s attention. Chloe didn’t miss the way that her father’s face softened looking at the child, his hands coming up to wave back at her almost instantly.
The small movement felt like a punch in the gut, knocking the wind out of her, her mind filling with so many thoughts she could barely pay attention to the older man turning back to her. His smile slowly dropped when he noticed the look on Chloe’s face as she couldn’t tear her eyes away from the girl who was living the life she craved when she was little.
“So,” she started, finally looking back to her father, hoping she steeled her voice enough for her emotion to be hidden. “You have a daughter.”
“Yeah,” her father replied, and Chloe hated the awkward tension that filled the air around them. He looked back at the young girl, pointing her out to Chloe. “That’s Hyeri, she’s three, and the lady standing by the bottom of the slide is my wife, Jimin.”
The addition of the word ‘wife’ felt like another punch in the gut and Chloe had to stop herself from letting the tears fall down her face. She stupid, of course her father would have a whole new life and family, it’s been seventeen years, after all. Though, she couldn’t help the sting in her heart when she looked at the happy family right in front of her, living the life that she could only dream of as a child.
She was too busy staring off at the happy little family that she missed the beginning of her father’s words, catching a small ‘times have been tough,’ at the end of it.
Chloe felt like a bucket of ice water had been dumped over her head, her eyes instantly snapping to meet her father’s, where he at least had the decency to look a little bit sheepish, a hand resting on the back of his neck.
Did you only want to meet me because you wanted money?” the words were out of her mouth before she could stop them, tears threatening to spill as she looked at the man before her.
“What, Chloe, no, I,” the man stumbled over his words, and Chloe knew he was looking for something to say that would make him sound better. “I’ve always wanted to see you, Chloe,” he finished lamely, looking down at his feet.
Chloe shook her head, crossing her arms over her chest. “You never came to visit, you didn’t even call.” her words were biting as she stared at the older man who refused to look in her eyes.
“I-”
“Save it,” Chloe dismissed, looking away from the figure in front of her. “Don’t contact me again, I was better with never knowing you.”
She turned, walking away without another word and it took everything in her to not run into Minho’s arms and break down, but she couldn’t, not until she was out of her father’s sight. Minho didn’t say anything when Chloe walked towards him and she was grateful he could understand that her hard set jaw meant that she didn’t want to talk about it, he would push her about it later, but he knew better than to say anything here.
They walked out of the park, no words exchanged between them as Chloe tried to make it to the subway without breaking down. She only got a good street over before she could feel the tears start to fall. Minho, in his very observant glory, knew what was happening as soon as he heard the first sniffle, placing a hand on Chloe’s shoulder and pulling her off the sidewalk, over to a bench away from the crowd of people walking.
His arms snuck their way around her shoulders, giving her a tight squeeze. Minho’s hug is what sent her over the edge, tears falling and ugly sobs wrecking through her body. Minho never hugged her, they were close and they got along like real siblings, but hugging was something the two barely did. The last time he hugged her was when she couldn’t stop crying once she had to say goodbye to her mother after KCON in New York.
“Are you okay?” he asked, knowing the answer before Chloe even shook her head. He just nodded back at her, knowing Chole would tell him what happened when she was ready.
They sat like that for a good while, nobody even sparing the crying girl a glance as they hustled by on their daily activities. Minho’s arm was perfectly around her rubbing soothing circles as her sobs weaned down into just little sniffles.
“I want to go home,” Chloe said after a long while, her voice still watery from all the crying.
“Okay,”
“No, I want to go home-home,” she told him, her eyes wide, hoping he would understand that she wanted nothing more than to see her mother and let her console her.
Minho nodded, his lips in a tight line as he thought. “Okay,” he replied finally. “Let’s get you back to the apartment and we can figure out what to do from there.”
Chloe nodded, bringing a hand up to wipe the tears off of her face, trying to make herself look at least a bit more presentable, as she followed Minho through the busy streets, hoping to push away any thoughts of her father, knowing the tears would start again if she thought of him.

My Romance Kdrama Rankings and rec.:
*warning: possibly a lot of spoilers but tbh mostly just a redone synopsis of the shows*
Also a bit lengthy as hell
#12. Melting Me Softly
This show didn’t do that well as much as it was expected to, considering it even had Ji Chang-Wook as the male lead and the adorable Choi Bo-min who was introduced and quite possibly helped quick start the recognition for his kpop group Golden Child. I’ll admit I expected more of this and I don’t hold anything against the script writer who I heard did Strong Woman, but I kept in mind that the whole premise itself was also very complex to work with. Besides the fact it had two very cute and good looking male leads to draw me in, what really did it was the said premise. This is coming from a girl who is in love with Fallout 4 where the playable character was cryogenically frozen and then thawed out two centuries later, that shit slaps with me for some reason and I was excited to see it play out in this.
The romance is okay I guess, still “aww” worthy and has an intense kiss scene that’ll go down in Ji Chang-Wook’s kissing portfolio no doubt, as well as a hot kiss with his former and now aged flame that is only dreamt of. What drives the romance is the male lead with his puppy dog eyes and loving gaze, only a few have COMPLETELY mastered this in the kdrama buisness. Choi Bo-min was a complete adorable cutie who seemed to have fallen in love for the first time and I couldn’t help but fall in love with him (we’re also the same age but that’s besides the point and I’m completely in love with Rocky from Astro so like, I gotta keep this professional).
Time and time again I have issues with female leads in dramas and feel like the men pick up the slack when it comes to acting, this was one of those times. She was funny and quirky but seemed very out of focus on serval aspects. I think her most redeeming trait besides being made for the media and entertainment business in the show was her completely devotion to her brother.
#11. Suits
I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again, Park Hyungsik is my favorite korean actor hands down.
I’ve seen bits of the American version, the original version, and it didn’t interest me in the slightest. I took a chance on this because I saw this cutie wearing a suit and converse and maybe that’s my kink, who knows, but I was fucking HERE for it. Now I’m a huge slave to romance and the shows, romcoms, that shit. I need to ship, I need to see the love, possibly write a fanfic of it, save gifs of the couple being cute or someone pining. But this show didn’t focus on the love story brewing on the side, it focused on its original intent and purpose which was Park Hyungsik and Jang Don-Gun’s partnership as mentor and mentee, the practice of law, and Park Hyungsik’s storyline as someone who got mixed up in the wrong crowd and fauxed having the license to practice law. The love story you get is the reason it’s on this list and why it’s ranked lower, but all in all this was a good show and one of the few exceptions to a non romance focused show.
#10. Suspicious Partner
The only reason this doesn’t have a pic is because I can only use ten and I gotta figure which would need one and which wouldn’t.
To start off, this show is fucking hilarious with the cast dynamic. It was like what, 40 episodes? I didn’t realize I needed a prolonged show until this came along. At times, it seemed like the main plot was dragging and I was reminded of why I prefer typical kdrama fashion of a one season within 12-32 episode limit, but it made up for it.
Yes, yes, Ji Chang-Wook, the god of kissing, stars in this. My first introduction to him was actually Melting Me Softly and because of how he did in acting with what he could, the emotions he portrayed, I sought out another show of his pre-military duty. God, he fucking serves in glasses and a suit. His character’s jealousy regarding Nam Ji Hyun (his romantic interest) and Choi Tae Joon (Ex best friend, slow burn, exes to friends to platonic lovers that’s one sided while the other can’t stand him, 35k words) instilled the notion that he is fucking funny as hell when needed and such a mood. You want to see the (not even romantic rival bc Choi and Nam are best friends) spraying with a water hose on your lead’s rival? Want to see a hot guy like Ji Chang-Wook panic and try shoving him out of the house when the girl catches them working out? It’s gold.
The feud with the moms -granted they didn’t realize the knew they were the mom’s of the leads-, the slow burn of enemies to friends with the girls, the redemption of a broken friendship, the crackhead and large old baby played by Lee Deok Hwa and the poor father figure who is tired of everyone’s shit portrayed by Jang Hyeok-jin. It’s everything you need for at least a week. It’s possibly a great starter show to ease one into the fact that most dramas don’t hold to that many episodes.
The romance is great, the fucking pining on Ji Chang-Wook’s side is great, the kissing scenes are fucking one for the history books, and you’re guaranteed to be giggling to yourself in several scenes.
Oh and there’s like, a serial killer but yeah, romance!
#9. What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim?
The reason why it’s not so high on my list despite being popular is quite possibly some of the side cast.
While Park Seo Joon and Park Min Young severed as a fucking power couple and their tandem dynamic was strong as hell, there were characters who made the show’s story seen to drag out despite it being 16 episodes (see what I mean by usual number??). For one, we learn that a brown haired Lee Tae Hwan is not gonna make for a silent crush in this show. No, brown haired Lee Tae Hwan just gets on your nerves and despite it being purely because his character is mentally blocked in this twisted memory, he forces the main character into staying isolated within his own pain and nightmares from what really occurred when they were children. He lies to his family, keeps it hidden from those who are close to him and love him, suffers alone. It’s what keeps him away from chasing after Secretary Kim besides his egotistical personality -which I never thought could be so great but it is. The main character’s brother in his endless pursuit to chase at Secretary Kim himself starts to gnaw on your chill as you watch him subconsciously force this notions that they’re tethered to one another, deserve each other, etc. While you can’t entirely fault him for how he is given the psychological trauma he endured, you can get annoyed with him very easily for the other accounts and purposes.
The side story of the roof top guy with the one suit -I’m sorry, he’s great in 2PM but I can’t stand him in about every drama he’s in- and the seemly rookie girl become more of an obstacle when you just want to watch the main focus. The driver of the main character is hilarious but his romantic interest is over the top at times. Sometimes it just takes away from the show.
#8. Hotel Del Luna
Ah, I wish I could’ve put a pic.
To kick this off, can we like get a spin off with Kim Soo Hyun? Thanks.
FINALLY, A FUCKING FEMALE LEAD I STAN COMPLETELY AND WOULD WATCH EVEN WITHOUT YEO JIN GOO THERE FOR A ROMANTIC INTEREST.
This bitch, IU, fucking slays in her role as a hotel owner for the dead before the leave for the after life. Everything she does is iconic -yes, the fucking cocking of the rifle, the child like smile seeing diamonds, blessing the poor boy with the ability to see the dead then let him get chased per her own amusement before business. I really would’ve watched the show even if there was no romance. Whether it’s modern times or her orignal lifetime before being condemned to a life of immortality hell and aimlessly running a hotel, she makes for a strong lead. Her reasons for wanted to avoid love seemed so valid compared to other female leads who completely brush guys off. She doesn’t want love, and yet she doesn’t want anyone else touching Chan Sung (Yeo Jin Goo) because she’s not dumb enough to let go of something that makes her feel alive. While her character is legitimately described as cold and greedy, her intentions for holding onto him reveal an insecure part of her that’s been tucked away for centuries. His dedication to the hotel and her, to helping the ghosts move on and such, it’s great and makes for a binge full night.
It’s only ranked lower because the ending sadden me when I realized it was him picturing how they would meet one another again. And because they teased us with Kim Soo Hyun, like that’s cruel.
#7. Guardian: The Lonely and Great God (aka Goblin)
Tbh, this show would be lower if it weren’t for the Reaper and Sunny, as well as Deok Hwa.
I’ll probably get a lot of hate for this, but I couldn’t stand Kim Go Eun in this. I’ve watched her in Cheese in the Trap and thought she was good and stuff, but this I found myself growing annoyed and glaring at the television while my mom preached upon her behalf. The goblin was funny, his dynamic and weird polar friendship with the Reaper is quite possibly what really made the show, but I failed to see the spark between them until the time skip. Then, THEN, I could tolerate her a bit better.
Maybe it’s because she was protraying someone around my age in high school, but she went from this independent and driving girl to someone who became too needy and clingy. She acted like a little girl in front of a crush when she could’ve handled it more marturely with the said maturity she showed before meeting him. Granted, I know she had a very difficult home life after her mom died and she saw ghosts everywhere, and her living with the Reaper and Goblin was like this warm family she felt safe in, but I just couldn’t. Her endless pursuing of the Goblin got on my nerves and she would get upset, but then again did she ever act like an adult and do the most natural thing? Aka sit down and discuss the whole situation.
“If you’re comfortable, can you tell me why you think I’m your bride?/Why is there a sword in you?/What happens if I pull it out?/ What do you want me to do?/etc”
No, instead it was a constant “I’m the goblin’s bride”, “I’m your bride”, there was this bratty entitlement laying underneath the cutest exterior that was so apparent for someone my age, and I got pissed when she admitted to have seeing the sword the first time around. Like this man has been in total agony for fucking forever and you strung him along hoping for the possibility that you may be the key to him finally getting the ending he thinks he’ll get. It was selfish, she didn’t even know him but insisted on seeing how to be his bride. She should’ve stepped back and thought the situation out carefully. It wasn’t until that blessed time skip that I started to like her better. She wasn’t a kid then and became mature like she needed to be. There’s the need to flaw a character, but her’s was always biting at me.
Oh yeah, Sunny and the Reaper are the true couple in this story and their love that’s star crossed in two lives really hits you. There was more chemistry than the main couple, there was confusion in flirtatious banter, there was stupidity for first time romance against a tired experience woman, there was the hidden history that they both remembered after the time skip. The angst, the pure acceptance, the guilt and remorse. They made the fucking show alongside the Goblin and Reaper’s bromance and Deok Hwa’s “I just want a credit card and to be irresponsible but these two dumb fucks keep almost revealing their true selves to the world and I’m fucking done with these children”, on top of God taking his body as a vessel and becoming 10x cooler with that hairstyle while drinking with Fate (such a badass who loves her children I can’t, I stan the side character too).
#6. My ID is Gangnam Beauty
Oh my god, my introduction to Astro. Cha Eun Woo (aka Lee Dongmin). My god, if it weren’t for my mom, sister and I officially ruling Cha Eun Woo as god tier in terms of looks and making him this untouchable bias we can’t have, I would have never let this adorably hot as hell dancer and rapper distract me. Really, I kept wanting to be distracted by Rocky but I felt like I couldn’t miss the visual god in the front. Blessed I finally was able to divert my attention to the one I wanted to watch so very much and became my bias wrecker. Mom loves Moonbin like he’s her own son and we’re not her children, sister loves MJ’s psychotic idiocy.
ANYWAYS, the female lead, Kang Mi Rae, was stiff as hell when watching it a second time around and at times, knowing their age gap can be bothersome, but it was a cute slow burn of her and Cha Eun Woo’s character, Do Kyung Suk (sounds badass too, doesn’t it). While he appeared stiff as well, probably could’ve played a robot if he wanted to, I felt like he did well portraying his character who grew up in a dysfunctional house where their political father’s position took presidence over family. He was taught it was unmanly you cry, he never smiled (idk how Cha Eun Woo did it, this cutie never stops smiling or laughing), he never spoke up, etc. He appears socially handicapped until Mi Rae appears back in his life and he slowly let’s go of this anger as the story progresses. She learns she doesn’t have to be so self conscious about her plastic surgery or who she used to be because he loves both.
The villian of this story was well thought out (only kdrama where my dad actively participates in the discussions because he hated her so much and says her name with such spite while bragging he knows at least one Astro member so that’s his “idfk what a bias is but I’ll go with the Gangnam kid”). She brought the tension and there was the window to pity her and realize something was most definitely wrong in a tragic way. She sought after Kyung Suk like a prized trophy when he didn’t express interest, stepped inbetween blooming relationships, set boys off a progressive course away from her, and turned one kid psychotic. That was just with her obsession to have the boys fawn after her; completely disregarding her endless efforts to knock Mi Rae down a peg or two in meticulously planned schemes. She was incredibly smart and cunning, it can’t be denied and she drove them closer together in spite of her tries to wedge between them.
Really, this made me wish that the Webtoon True Beauty that’s supposed to get a drama adaption will cast him as the main male lead Suho. It’s almost similar but Suho seems more dimensional and expressive and I feel like he would truly shine there.
Stan Astro.
#5. Extra-Ordinary You
Ah, this one hurts me. @macaknight, just watch it.
This is a young love one and one of the few that’s not absolute cringe worthy. Set in high school where yea, there’s drama and it’s in Asia so there’s that weird “all mighty and supreme group that conquers the school” called the A3, a girl (Kim Hye Yoon) with a heart condition learns she’s a character in a manga -doesn’t realize she’s not the main one tho and that’s hilarious alone. She finds a focus with this unnamed student who stays in the background and shadows (portrayed by SF9’s Rowoon). The girl, Eun Dan Oh, is someone to worship and cherish, especially since she’s so young and very promising. I thoroughly enjoyed her character and how her efforts to derail the natural progression of the story with the catalyst of student number 13, later on Haru. There’s so many fucking twist and turns, characters to let your heartbreak for as you wish to adopt them and protect them from the world, it all hurts so much but in a masochistic against yourself kind of way you can’t let go of.
Those who are aware they’re in a comic book, they all struggle to break their “character’s” roles and expectations. The second male lead of both the drama and the drama’s manga is sick and tired of playing the violin and being this unrequited love interest that’ll lose in the end, forever the friend. Dan Oh is livid she’s expected to die from her heart disease and is forced to endlessly pine for her childhood fiancé Baek Kyung who is a complete asshole to her while in character. Number 13/Haru is tired of being an unnamed background character who continuously suffers and gets toyed with by the author. Dried Squid Fairy lunch maker is sick of how he must remember shit that’s kept a secret as he tries in vain to keep the story on track to avoid repeated mistakes and consequential devastating punishments to those who don’t follow the storyline. Yeo Ju Da (the main character of the manga) wants to experience the love story she wants without the drama. Baek Kyung want to prove himself and that he genuinely cares for Dan Oh but is forced to be an asshole because that’s how he’s written.
It’s a fucking mess and it’s fucking fantastic. The friendship of A3 (Lee Do Hwa the vionlist, Oh Namju and Baek Kyung), Lee Do Hwa and Dan Oh’s powerful best friendship after being self aware and confiding in each other (honestly I want a drama with just two of them, they’re so cute and funny together), the A3 that happened outside for those self aware between Dan Oh, Number 13/Haru, and Do Hwa where they all genuinely care for one another, Dan Oh’s acceptance that her manga best friend is a bitch but nice to her and the male lackey of their group is funny, etc.
I didn’t think another self aware comic book character show could happen without ripping off W-Two Worlds, but it did. They did it.
#4. Angel’s Last Mission: Love
That song that goes “It’s alright, it’s alright” in a sad melodic way? Yeah, they play it when it’s not alright.
This show has heartbreak galore, even in the first episode for numerous reasons. They don’t want you to be alright for the most part and yet our sadistic selves can’t help but suffer through it. L’s portrayal of being an angel is such a gift, I didn’t know I needed it. I was dead set on living my life until I saw this and felt myself crumble to bits.
You want sacrifice? You got it. Tears of cute boy and a girl who can’t catch a break? Check. Plot twists? Lmao, it’s a kdrama. Yea. Angst and hurt? Fuck yep.
While you’re at it, listen to the song too so you can suffer some more.
#3. Descendants of the Sun
THIS WOULD BE AT THE TOP IF IT WEREN’T FOR THE FACT I AM COMPLETELY IN LOVE WITH THE FIRST ONE AND THESE TWO GOT DIVORCED IN REAL LIFE. I still wish the best for them and their child. I still hurt but love them.
So much fucking chemistry and angst, so much hurt and wounds (it’s legit a show with a military background and characters), so much cool fight scenes and surgeries. Their soundtrack slaps, the backstory of characters really set the tone to their current stories, shit overlaps somehow, the female rivalry is hilarious, the cat and dog friendship of the male leads warms my heart. They have such iconic stills and scenes.
The main leads connected so fucking well they got married in real life (we don’t talk about the end result, I’m still crying but I get it.) This kdrama is probably one of the staples to korean dramas in general.
Another female lead I really liked as well as the second, I just struggled at times with Song’s character at times because of the pain she put them both through.
#2. W-Two Worlds
This is my go to for recommending korean dramas to someone for the first time -I got an ex hooked on it that he cried several times throughout it/life 1/4 of the varsity boy’s soccer team has seen this because of me.
This is the comic self awareness show that I didn’t think could be redone, but kudos to you Extraordinary You, you created an orignal that breaks my heart.
This show hurts so much as well, I don’t watch them if they don’t hurt in one way or another.
Lee Jong Suk stars as the main character (Kang Chul) who is also the main character of his own comic book he stars in. The issue is that he’s self aware and that there’s something wrong with his world and life. His webtoon/manga creator is trying to kill him because having his creation alive is driving him to insanity and was the only comfort when he pushed his family away for his career and alcoholism. The creator’s daughter is alerted that her father went missing while cooped up in his room while drawing Kang Chul’s death and end to the manga without a resolution to his storyline (Think of a korean Batman without the suit and brooding personality). Plot twist that’s in the synopsis, she gets pulled in by Kang Chul inside the comic and can come and go if it pertains to him because he controls it without realizing.
You have a main character who is written as this playboy orphan and sole survivor of his mass family’s murder that questions his existence and purpose BEYOND how we do. He meets this girl who speaks almost cryptically to him without realizing and knows more about him than needed or given, and now he’s experiencing oddities besides the notion of love that he can’t understand because it’s not how he is written and the glitches in his world.
This show is twisted in a psychological sense that messes with a comic character who is now alive and real, fucks up the mentality of the creator, puts the daughter in an immense amount of stress when she was just trying to be a fucking surgeon, yes, black haired Lee Tae Hwan is crush worthy in this unlike brown haired Lee Tae Hwan in Secretary Kim. (It’s the hair, you change the hair on a character and everything is different).
The exploration of what love is that works alongside the devoting dark plot of the culprit murderer really drives this show as well as the couple’s endless efforts to save/protect one another in any means necessary, even if they both suffer from it.
These two truly can’t live without one another and it shows with all they do for each other. There’s nothing they wouldn’t risk to keep one another in their arms.
And Lee Jong Suk delivers his share of being one of the King of Korean Drama Kisses as well, gif saving worthy and iconic ones as well.
#1. Strong Woman Do Bong-Soon
Park Hyungsik. Park Hyungsik. Park Hyungsik. Park Hyungsik.
Need I say more?
We stan Park Hyungsik’s character, Ahn Minhyuk, in this blog. We basically stan Do Bong Soon as well for how happy she makes him.
This is possibly totally bias but this is one of my two white noise korean drama shows that I continuously find myself rewatching time and time again. And that’s saying something since I only have one white noise show that’s in English. Three shows total.
People had issues with the script and what the actors had to say, but for the most part I thought the love story and the rival one was pretty well written, then again I kept watching different translations on different sites. So I wasn’t bothered at all. People also didn’t like the side characters and stories regarding the sketchy well dressed gang she hospitalizes in the first episode that stuck around until the last but I felt it was important to have them to prove how having Bong Soon in their lives can change a person and how she has this affect on people overall.
My god, the love story. Bong Soon has this massive crush on police officer and high school friend she was sweet on, Guk Doo, who doesn’t seem to acknowledge her feelings and is all about protecting the law and stuff (I can respect, I’m a LEO kid). He isn’t aware of her abilities of being incredibly strong and nearly indestructible. Nah, instead, CEO of AIN Software, Ahn Minhyuk, accidentally finds out and is like super chill but excited and curious about it and her??
He hires her as his bodyguard in the mist of receiving threats regarding his family company and they find an odd balance with each other while Minhyuk falls in love with her so hard, he literally tries to protect HER from danger. He’s so wonderfully extra that it’s no wonder Park Hyungsik and Park Seo Joon are best friends in real life, they both have the ability to play someone so over the top in a cute and funny way that you appreciate it about them. A cutie with a button nose and weird ears decked out in monochrome color scheme and dark sunglasses, whistling as he rides a hoverboard around? Die for 100%. Someone who gets crazy jealous and presents it in a healthily humorous way by dramatically posing to securitygates of his company that open automatically for him? Stan. Wants Bong Soon’s attention while she’s in a room away from him so her opera sings her name loudly and dramatically? Worship.
While it’s hard to watch the slow progression on her end yet the obvious budding of it, it’s understandable since she’s been in love with Guk Doo ever since high school and has assumably never had a boyfriend in hopes that he would reciprocate her feelings. So the second time watching it and stepping back to analyze, I could forgive her.
All the while, Minhyuk making Heart Eyes ™️ at Bong Soon for literally everything she does makes you feel. The way he holds her and treats her like she’s this precious porcelain doll that could break it handled the wrong way speaks volumes considering he knows of her Herculean strength. He openly loves her when he comes to realize what she means to him -which is a lot sooner than you’d think but welcomed-, and looks at no one else but her. The love story probably would’ve also happened faster if everyone didn’t think Minhyuk was gay (that’s a solid fact, I’m not joking), only those close to her and see how he acts/looks at her realize “lmao, he ain’t gay Hunni”. Minhyuk is this cute hottie that girls wish were straight (it’s fucking hilarious) who acts like a complete lovesick dork with Bong Soon. He freaks and spazzes out when she calls him a nickname or acts cheeky with dropping honorifics, speaks aloud to himself of his thoughts regarding her, literally can’t contain himself when she acts cute to get on his good side and distract his anger.
Oh and there’s like this serial kidnapper too so there’s badass scenes of the two working together, power couple def.
Their soundtrack slaps too and you somehow end up vibing with it. The song You’re My Garden on it, I learned to sing it because it’s one of my top favs.
They’re just the cutest with their hamster and puppy dog relationship. It’s my go to show and I won’t stop watching this. It’s so obvious how Park Hyungsik grew to fall in love Park Bo Young (that’s a legitimate fact) when filming and their bts cuts are too cute, I wish they were dating in real life.
(Also, we have another King of kiss scenes -to those who watched this drama already, you know the scene, iconic 🔥🎼)

The one where things were not that bad... || Drabble for @draxarxis
Tranquility. The feeling of laying against the silky sheets, the smell of fresh brewed coffee that fills the air, a few rebel rays of sunshine that makes their way into his eyes; Hyunseung couldn’t help but hum lowly in content. A tiny hand poking repeatedly at his cheek, now that he was lying on his side.
“Appa!! Uncle HyunHyun is up! Can we play now?” Her chippy voice made the vocalist chuckle; arms wrapping around her to tackle her into a bear hug while rolling over the bed. The room now filled with giggles.
“Surprise attack!!” Despite her protest the little girl kept laughing wholeheartedly and hug the silver haired in return. Both of their attention being directed to the blue bedroom door frame where Hyungsik was standing; coffee cup in his hand while shaking his head at the two.
“What am I gonna do with you two...Come on, Minah. Go wash up and get ready for breakfast.” Before he could finish the sentence the little girl came to hug her father’s leg grinning back at the yawning vocalist that tried hard to fix his bed hair.
“I will race you Uncle HyunHyun! Winner eats ALL the food!” As quickly as she finished her ‘challenge’ declaration she dashed to the bathroom leaving the two men laughing.
“Ahhhh I told you not to call me Uncle! Yah...teach this kid some respect!” With a defeated sigh but a smile on his lips the older singer stretched out out the bed toward the CEO; all in a useless attempt to reach for the coffee cup.
“Get up. I made french toast.” As the protests of the older filled the room, Hyungsik only shook his head and passed on his cup; watching Hyunseung help himself with his coffee. “Hurry or she will really eat your food.”
Despite the simple words, actions speak louder for the CEO and the silver haired was fully aware as his grin grew bigger against the coffee cup.
“Appa!! I won!” A victory smile on the 7 year old’s face as she climbs her chair at the table and smacks her lips at the sight of her favorite fruits. All earning her a few affectionate pats on her head from her father; everyone joins the breakfast table. “Can I go at Uncle HyunHyun’s house after school? I wanna play with the kitties again!” With her mouth full, the little girl gave Hyungsik the biggest puppy eyes; ending with Hyunseung chuckling and reaching to wipe the syrup from the corner of her mouth coincidentally at the same time at her father. HS won as they adults shook their heads while Minah smacked her lips together with a grin.
“If you are a good girl and eat your breakfast and work hard at school I will consider it.” Sometimes it was a wonder to Hyunseung how the younger could resist his daughter’s cuteness;he was sure that if he ever ended up having a kid of his own he would spoil them rotten. “What are you up to today anyway?”
The fact that Hyungsik was talking to him made the silver haired blinked as he swallowed a piece of toast; taking a big sip of his coffee he actually thought of his own schedule. “Just the usual..I would love to have her over tho. It is always fun when this little princess is around.” The silence filled the room as both of the artists shared a look between them while little Minah babbled about the food and Hyunseung’s cats; the CEO sighed before sipping his coffee.
“Let’s go to a zoo then.” Now that made the soloist choke on his coffee; looking at his friend with an incredulous look on his face as the little girl clapped her hands excited. “Uncle HyunHyun too?” She looks up at her dad and Hyungsik couldn’t help but chuckle as both of them seem to act like he just went crazy. Damn rules and standards. They all need a day where things are...not that bad.
“Uncle HyunHyun as well. But you two need to promise to behave.” It was a warning but the girl immediately jumped from her chair and wrapped her arms around her father’s neck. “Appa is the best! We are going to the zoo!!”
It took her five minutes to eat away her breakfast despite Hyungsik’s complains of her eating too fast and getting sick before she darted to her room to get ready; the CEO now gathering the dishes from the table and stacking them into the dishwasher.
“So...what about our deal?” His eyes watched the younger with a hint of amusement but his playful smile was plastered on his lips; this was surely an unexpected day and he couldn’t help but wonder what had got into the business man to propose it.
“It is just a trip to the zoo. I need a day off, it has been a while since Minah got to go some place else than the park and you said you wanted to spend time with her no? Let’s all have fun and forget about everything.” There has been a while since HS had seen that genuine smile on the younger’s face; there was a gentle pat that seem to linger on Hyunseung’s shoulder.
“Ok.” The soloist took a deep breath and pushed the hand away before standing from the table and heading to go change. “You need to tell her to stop calling me Uncle tho! I ain’t that old! ” At that Hyungsik seem to only laugh more and earn himself a nudge from the older. They might just have one day in which they can have fun like they used to.
#white dove#drabble#ooc: this is too soft#and in my drafts forever#white dove's evil puppet master#will probs kill me#fluff is needed#where can HS get a Minah lol

Is that IAN KIM? Wow, they do look a lot like PARK HYUNGSIK. I hear HE is a SEVENTEEN year old JUNIOR who originally attended CARNIFEX Academy. Word is they are an ARISTOCRAT student. You should watch out because they can be SELF-DESTRUCTIVE and DECEITFUL, but on the bright side they can also be HUMOROUS and PASSIONATE. Ultimately, you’ll get to see it all for yourself.
hello again~ here i am with yer ANOTHER intro post!!! SO SOON TOO AHHAHA
i also play maia FYI incase
so here’s some info about ian:
he was raised in what you would call a typical family
his father owns a hospital and his mother was a renown surgeon at the hospital which is what makes him an aristocrat
when ian was about 14, his mother up and left with no goodbyes
ian believed this to be because his father didn’t show his mother love since his father is very cold hearted
due to that, ian is a person who makes sure the person in front of him knows EXACTLY how he’s feeling
this brings me into his crazy bit of him being a bit obsessive sometimes
he has no median, ian either really enjoys someones company or detests it
ian has never felt like he was ever truly loved which is why when he hangs on, HE HANGS ON
he’s very similar to a puppy honestly
he’s also very reactive and he is indeed self-destructive
if he feels like something is going wrong or about to go wrong he will SEE IT THROUGH THAT IT GOES WRONG
also he has two siblings which i figure is pretty important i think idk
he also feels the need to impress his father which is the only reason he tries at anything in life honestly but his dad is very cold so he’s never approved of anything or disapproved either
its also why ian has started to take over his father’s business which involves helping high profile criminals (also why his mother left)
ian doesn’t tell anyone about this and no one knows, which is why he is deceitful, he acts v innocent but in reality he is aware of a lot of evil
so that’s all i think (probably not) , if you want to plot please hmu!!

Bias & Wrecker Tag
Rules: list the groups you like, your bias, and your bias wrecker. tag 10 people
I was tagged a wee while ago by I think @prettywordsyouleft but I literally can’t find anything on tumblr, it’s so confusing even after all this time. Lol I only started really using anything orther than post/reblogg when I started looking for kpop. Lol
This is going to be really short cause I only discovered VIXX in April 2018 and I’m so attached to them I haven’t found any other groups that I really like enough to say oooh he’s a wrecker. But there are some guys I discovered through their acting performances were idols (which means they qualify) and hence my tiny list is born.
1. Ultimate Bias - VIXX - Leo (AKA Jung Taekwoon)
he’s the reason I’m watching/seeing/listening/interacting with any of this. I caught a random playing of scentist and saw silver haired Leo at the piano and was like “is he CGI? Is this a new anime? And then realising he was an actual living human I kept watching and couldn’t stop. The visuals and plot, symbolism etc in that video MV is just outrageous. And when that finished I saw Shangri-la and down the rabbit hole I went. Leo was so strong in the MV and singing but wow he was such an introverted, shy, quiet, I risk to say almost unable to “perform” as just being himself. It was incredibly endearing and I recognised a lot of my traits, as well as a protective feeling for him. Can’t help it. He’s now come on just in 6months and it’s incredible to see such amazing positive changes in him. He’s debuted and it was incredible, he was on shows by himself, leading conversations and interacting with MC’s and fans with ease and such a light hearted atmosphere. Whatever positive things happening in his life to bring him into this mood/stage may it long be good to him cause wow what a changed man and all any starlight wants is for them to be healthy and happy. Yay
2. VIXX Wrecker - N (AKA Cha Hakyeon)
This was the slow, steady, sneaky art that is the Cha-booty. The whole band are stunning there is no question and half are just seriously too young for me sad to say lol but N has been slowly burning into 2nd position since the start. Mostly for how he is as the leader, carer, protector and “mom” of the group. He takes a lot on himself to support each one of them and is always there for them even when they wish he would go away he’s there cause he’s so proud of them. His hugs, his silly and even his cringe is bearable cause of the truly genuine person he comes across ass. When he did a 121 fansign with a girl who was working and at college and trying to support her mum and he went and was just lovely with her. Talked honestly and openly with her it was eye opening into his personality and a lot of his trials and struggles I think he hides to keep his support for the others strong again this was some of the traits I associate with and how I was raised as well so he’s steadily made his way into my list. P.S. amazing dancer, choregrapher and artist. His acting in Tunnel left me stunned. It’s amazing. Check it out.
3. JYJ/TVXQ - Kim Jaejoong
Honestly a couple of years ago I had seen him in a clip of triangle and not even linked him to the kpop world. I was like hmmmm he’s really good actor, he stuck out. The end. Jump forward and Vixx have lead me into the wonderland of kpop and rediscovered my like, nae love, of kdrama and I rediscover him. Then find that he was an idol the whole time! he’s ridiculously sweet and his cats and puppy are just adorable and bonkers. He has a real artistic feel with his love of creating, acting, singing, photography, composing, directing and producing. His personality though still seems truly genuine and gentle, with a lot of grace and honour. It doesn’t hurt that he’s also gorgeous lol but it was his emotional performances that truly reached me and then lead me to his music. Check him out in SPY, Triangle, Manhole and his film code name: jackal.
4. CNBLUE - Lee Jonghyun
Again acting lead me to this person, while watching Orange Marmalade (I highly reccomend it) this 2nd lead character stuck out so much and was just the guy you felt the writers just couldn’t stop hurting. I mean literally it was like please, stop kicking him he’s already down!! Anyway, later in the show he is sitting with a guitar (I do love a gutair playing musical hands) and sings a bit and I was like WOW this guy is really good for an actor and msgs my friend saying so. To which she replied “....singing in orange marmalade?....OH FOR F**KS SAKE, HES AN IDOL!!” Then lots of 😭🤣🤣🤣so I go check out some of him and he’s insane guitar skills and he starts to spear on my list. What truly pushes him into it was watching the reality show We Got Married and seeing how crazy sweet and adorable he was and just wishing that they got married for real and had babies cause they were too perfect and sincere to not feel for each other. He wrote her a song!!! That they record together at the end as a gift from him!! 😍💍
5. ZE:A - Park Hyungsik
This is the newest, he slid into the kpop list after watching Hwarang and Bong Soon Strong Girl. Both fabulous by the way. But he was amazing and then of course while watching Hwarang I knew there was an idol or two in the show but I didn’t know who or from where so it was while going through the show and again asking my all things Korean friend about the cast and she by this time has decided I have an “Idol Radar”. Filling me in that he was in ZE:A bit they have disbanded. I listen to some of his singing and seriously how can someone that pretty, sweet, funny, talented exsist? Mind boggling but after the emotional performances from him in the dramas I couldn’t forget him.
I have others on the list but they are actors not idols, so don’t qualify for this round but honourable mention to them:
Park Seo-Joon (Hwarang, What’s the matter with Secretary Kim?, kill me heal me, she was pretty, a witch’s love, &6films)
Nam Joo-Hyuk (Bride of The Water God)
Woo Do-Hwan (Mad Dog, Save Me, Tempted)

"Where's tae?"
Everyone paused and looked up from their breakfast to their leader.
"Is taetae still sleeping?" Asked hoseok. It was pretty early and their day-off, so it wouldn't be a surprise if taehyung is still sleeping.
jimin, who had a piece of bacon in his mouth, said
"Oh maybe he's still meeting with his new members"
Jin choked on his water and started coughing. Yoongi was looking at jimin with wide eyes. Jimin turned to his Hobi hyung and jungkook, they both had similar reactions.
Namjoon stared at jimin with akin to disbelief in his eyes.
He was about to say something to jimin, when jimin understood what has caused his hyungs to act this way.
"No no no, I meant to say his new drama members, you know the new drama he signed. He was supposed to meet with them to discuss the script or something." He said all this so quickly while frantically moving his hands in all directions. Jimin took a deep breath and continued.
" you guys misunderstood so quickly. Why would you even think that tae would leave us. Geez."
Yoongi had overcame his earlier state of bewilderment and was now staring at his dongsaeng with narrowed eyes. He wasn't angry at jimin and jimin knew it.
"Didn't Tae went to this meeting yesterday, if I remember correctly he went out right after lunch. He told jin hyung that he will be back some time after dinner." Suga turned to jin for confirmation and started talking again after receiving a nod from the eldest.
" did he went out again this morning then?"
Jin who now had grasped at the situation was also not pleased and said " he didn't came back yesterday night, did he? And we were so tired yesterday that no one thought to call him to make sure he's back safely."
" Don't tell me he found a friend again and had a sleepover or something?" Jimin groaned.
Jungkook who was quiet till now spoke, " I thought hyungs told him after last time to never accept offers so easily."
"He's tae, he will never refuse offers to hang out with friends" sighed Hobi.
Namjoon by now had his phone out and was calling taehyung. He had told the kid many times that he shouldn't stay overnight at anyone's without informing him or the other members or their manager.
He's the leader. He's responsible for each of them. So when one of them is out of his sights and he have no knowledge of their whereabouts, he worries. He cares for his members a lot.
Namjoon cursed inwardly, "it's ringing but he's not picking up"
Suga called their manager which proved futile as he had no idea where taehyung is. Their manager said that he will call the people tae met yesterday to ask if they know anything and also said that the members should not panic.
Namjoon was still trying to connect to tae. It connected at his fourth try.
"Kim taeyung, where the hell are you?"
"Umm sorry, but it's not tae. He's still sleeping"
instead of taehyung's deep apologetic voice, namjoon heard a stranger.
"And who are you? Why is tae with you?" Namjoon's voice was cold. He's a very sweet person in reality but when it comes to the safely of his members, he is very cautious.
Others also caught up that someone else is with their tae who has picked up the call.
Suga was trying hard not to snatch the phone from joon and give a piece of his mind to the one who is on the phone. But he held back knowing that namjoon has it undercontrol and he believes in his leader and dongsaeng.
'It's park soe joon, tae is at my place. We came here to watch movies yesterday night but fell alseep. I guess we were pretty tired. Your call woke me up.'
"Oh soe joon sunbaenim it's you. Is it alright if I come to your place to retrieve tae. Tae has a schedule which he has to follow. We are pretty busy today"
Suga frowned, park soe joon, as in one of tae's hwarang hyung. He doesn't really like it when tae neglect his members in favor of his hwarang hyungs.
Jimin had similar thoughts running inside his head.
Whenever a member starts spending more time with some other person, members think that the person is trying to seperate them. Even when they know that it isn't true they can't help but be possessive of each other.
"Oh is that so, I didn't know that tae was busy. But he looks really tired. Are you sure he can't take the day-off. I am free today, I can look after him."
Namjoon is having a hard time staying polite. He's relived that tae is with soe joon and not with anyone they don't know. But he still want him back in the arms of the members.
" no he can't. Please tell me your address so I can take taehyung back."
After getting the address he hanged up. Even though they all eating Their breakfast they were attentive to what was going on in that phone conversation.
"Rapmon hyung , I am coming with you too." Namjoon was about to reject the maknae's offer but his pleading bunny eyes and jin's voice made him weak.
"Yaa, namjoon-ah take kookie with you. He really wants to go and yoongi too, I guess."
Suga nodded. Of course he will go, he can forsake his laziness for one day if it is for one of his dongsaeng.
XxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxX
Jungkook rang the bell to soejoon's apartment. It was an expensive looking apartment, In a really nice neighbourhood.
Soon the door opened and park hyungsik who looked as if he just woke up, greeted them with a sleepy welcoming smile. They all bowed to him and he returned the gesture.
Namjoon was the one to shatter the silence and said , "oh I didn't know you were here as well hyungsik sunbaenim."
Hyungsik opened the door wide for the three of them to enter as he spoke "i came a few hours ago after soejoon told me that tae is here. You guys are so busy nowadays that we couldn't get to hang out with our favorite dongsaeng for so long. Oh And congrats on winning the top social artist 2 years in row."
They reached the living room where it was a mess, pillows blankets, bed sheets were all around the room.
And there was tae sleeping under many layers of sheets, looking absolutely adorable.
Honestly, the room looks so fluffy and comfortable that they can't blame taetae to sleep so long.
As soon as jungkookie saw tae he went up to him and tried to wake his hyung up.
"Taehyungie hyung, wake up. Cmon wake up and let's go home." He tried shaking him. "Taetae hyung, taetae hyung"
Jungkook looked back at his suga hyung, "Suga hyung he's not waking up. Please wake him up."
Right then soejoon entered the living room. "I tried to wake him up but he didn't budge. That's why I was telling to give him a day off. He can just spend the day here, even hyungsik is here now."
Suga and namjoon frowned. Not liking the idea of their taetae spending a day away from them when he can be with the members at their Dorm.
Suga had enough, he told jungkook to step away and let him try. "Kim taeyung, are you gonna wake up right now or not" he said in his 'i am your hyung listen to me' voice.
Tae can't not listen to his suga hyung.
Taehyung fidgeted a little and whined "but hyung am sleepy"
Yoongi smiled. So cute. But he refrained from showing how cute he finds his dongsaeng and continued in a scolding voice.
"You can sleep back at the Dorm all you want "
Tae whined again but started sitting up, his eyes still closed.
Jungkook was quick in throwing a hand over his hyung's shoulder and supporting him in standing up. He smiled when he herd a quiet "thanks kookie"
"Let's go" said namjoon. They all started towards the front door. Jungkook and taehyung at the rear. Hyungsik came to them , "let's hangout again when your free " Then looked in soejoon's direction "and you please try not to forget about me when you and tae meet up, I always get left behind." He pouted and ruffled tae's hair.
laughed and tae giggled sleepily. "Yes hyungie, I'll always call you first if we hangout. Love ya"
Jungkook didn't want to interrupt but he also didn't want his V hyung to hang out with them more. He glared at hyungsik who took a few steps back unconsciously as he was at the recieving end of an intense death glare. After recieving the satisfying reaction Jungkook started walking faster, following his hyungs closely.
They were out of the door and were going towards their car, where their driver is waiting.
Namjoon's phone rang. "Yes jin hyung, yeah we are coming back now. ...yes he's alright, just. Very sleepy.... yeah I am sure he's sorry for worrying you... tell jimin not to worry that much tae is back with us ....yeah yeah ok hyung....no tell hoseok he shouldn't make so much noise I can't. Hear anything else....*chuckles* ok ok. "
He hung up.
Taehyung slept the whole ride, head resting on his namjoon hyung's shoulder.
Just before reaching the Dorm, namjoon woke tae up.
" Taehyungie we are home, wake up." While Shaking taehyung gently.
"Joonie hyung? Already? " but he woke up without any further prodding and nagging from his hyungs and maknae.
When they entered the Dorm, everyone was in the living room. Taehyung threw himself on the comfortable couch where hoseok was sitting. Jimin was sprawled out on the floor, busy with his phone. Jin was also on the floor besides jimin, just he was sitting more elegantly rather than sprawled out like a puppy.
Suga settled himself on the other couch and looked ready to sleep while jungkook laid down on the floor with his head on jin's lap. Namjoon just sighed and sat beside Hobi while pulling taehyung's legs on his lap.
Taehyung was about to be pulled in the land of dreams but jin's voice pulled him back.
"So taehyung-ah, please share with us your reasons for not coming home last night."
"Taehyung gulped. "Umm. Ah I. .. jin hyung, just ..un you, when I was coming home, I bumped into soejoon hyung, he was going home from his set which was real close to mine. So um ya, we decided to watch movies at his place and I fell asleep. Sorry." Taehyung looked at every member and said "sorry hyungs and jungkookie, I didn't mean to worry you guys but I forgot to inform you that I will be a little late."
Jin sighed looking at the sincere apologetic look in taehyung's eyes. He really can't stay mad at this kid, or any bangtan kid for that matter.
"Tae we have told you many times that you shouldn't accept offers to hang out so easily. You can get caught in a ridiculous and unreasonable scandal, people out there will not care that you are innocent. They will do everything they can to defame you. And more importantly don't make friends so easily, everyone knows us now , They will try to use your fame for themselves " Lectured suga.
"But hyung it was just soejoon hyung and hyungie" shot back tae. His eyes teary. He didn't like to be Lectured. But he gets Lectured the most out of the younger ones.
Yoongi sighed. He didn't like to scold tae but it's important for them. He calmed his nerves and continued more quietly than before.
"Listen tae, its alrigh (no its not) this time because it was them, but what if you befriend someone who isn't a sincere friend, who wants to use you. I really not like to scold you. But If something like that happens than you will only get hurt." He finished with a sad tone.
Tae sniffed and went to hug his yoongi hyung tightly."I will try not disappoint you all again"
Yoongi embraced him back and runs his fingers through the younger's hair in a soothing manner. "It's alright we are not mad anymore. We just care about you. We all love you. Remember that tae. Now get off. I have done enough sweet talk to last about a month."
Taehyung grinned and hugged him more tightly.
Everyone just laughed at this.
