From YTV releasing 1/11 about Soga, who, after a divorce and relocation to Osaka, seeks solace in dining at 26-year-old Sakae's restaurant. Unbeknownst to Soga, Sakae sees him as more than just a regular customer.

Based on the Manhwa Love Supremacy Zone by Hwacha, this will star actors Lee Tae Vin, Cha Jun Wan, Oh Min Su and Cha Woon Ki. The plot of the drama is based on Tae Myung Ha, a young man who is dropped into a game based off of a novel that he knows. His mission is to make another player, Cha Yeo Woon happy. Cha Yeo Woon is Myung-Has favourite character in the novel. But then the game starts going completely different from the novel.

Love in the Big City

Movie adaptation of Booker nominated famous coming of age novel ‘Love in The Big City’ by Park Sang-Young. A cynical yet fun loving student writer name Young pinballs from home, to class, to Tinder matches. He and Jaehee, his female best friend and roommate, frequent nearby bars where they push away their worries about life, love, and money with soju and Marlboros. But as time passes Jaehee settles down and leaves Young to face his problems on his own, finding comfort in the arms of the series of men, including one whose handsomeness is matched by his coldness and another who might be the great love of his life. Not really BL. To star Kim Go-eun (The King: Eternal Monarch), Noh Sang-hyun (aka Steve Sanghyun as Young) and Nam Yoon Su (The King’s Affection). More here.

Casting happened 9/23. This is a supernatural romance (my ghost boyfriend trope) ‘เดือนพราง’ by Violet Rain. A Bangkok writer is hired to write an article about an old mansion in Chiang Mai which is being converted into a café. He gets into an accident and nearly dies on his way there. The Eighth Sense Eps 5 & 6 Stray Thoughts

Last week, Ae Ri and Yoon Woon moved to MVP statuses in this show for the earnest friendships they're building or built with Ji Hyun and Jae Won respectively. Tae Hyung continues to be a pain in my ass as he and all the friends try to force Jae Won back with Eun Ji. Eun Ji is also aiming to end up on the same list as Plern Pleng with her behavior at the bar and grill Ji Hyun works at. Finally, Ji Hyun continues to rewire Jae Won with his directness and kindness. The chemistry and tension between the two of them is compelling.

Episode 5

Ae Ri is being shady. I love it.

Of course they would reference one of the few Park Chan-Wook films I haven't seen. Now I need to rush off to watch I'm a Cyborg, But That's Okay (2006).

I don't normally celebrate delinquency, but I also think Ji Hyun needs to live a little bit.

Yoon Won is a real one for making sure they properly lie to their teacher.

I love Ae Ri. Ji Hyun needed a friend to push him to try new things. This shopping trip is fun. She's also right that he should stop being so self-conscious.

Shin Ha-ri (Business Proposal, her family is refreshingly normal, right down to her brother being sent out to find her when she's drunk) Oh Han-byeol (Sh**ting Stars, Again, we know almost nothing about her family, only that she has twin sisters. But she doesn't appear to have childhood trauma.) Park Yeon-woo (The Story of Park's Marriage Contract, her mom being annoyed at her for something that is a crime doesn't count as bad parenting) Lee Young-joon/Sung-hyun (What's Wrong with Secretary Kim, his trauma comes from a kidnapper, his parents faced a pretty impossible situation and did their best. They clearly love their kids) Baek Hyun-woo (Queen of Tears, nothing wrong with them out of the ordinary and they are in the drama a significant amount.) Ha Eun-gyeol (Twinkling Watermelon, very loving parents and the deafness and their reliance on him is not anyone's fault)

*Counting her as an orphan even though she gets her parents back after 20 years, she spent her childhood orphaned. ***This character is tricky because I understand why her mother wanted nothing to do with her, but her trying to manipulate the dad and also saying he didn't raise her properly made me so angry. ****This character is tricky because he was explicitly raised as an orphan by his grandma, his father didn't sign his birth certificate (Korean equivalent of this), and he's registered as the child of his grandmother, not his actual mom. His grandma is dead by the beginning of the series and he is living alone without family, so I think he counts as an orphan.

 Our Blues izlemeye başladıktan bir süre sonra sizi himayesine alan bir dizi. Neden beğendiğinizi anlamadan beğeniyorsunuz. Slice of life dediğimiz belli bir konu ve durum üzerinde durmayan insanlar üzerinden işlenen sıcak bir hikaye. 20 bölüm olduğu için ilk başta biraz gözünüz korkabilir ama güzel akıyor. Öncelikle oyuncu kadrosu inanılmaz. Her yerde başrol olarak Lee Byung-Hun ve  Shin Min-A görünse de kesinlikle başrol onlar değildi. Benim gözümde başrol kesinlikle Han Ji-Min ve Kim Woo-Bin’di.

Jeju adasındaki yaşantıyı anlatan dizide adanın bütün güzellikleri de gözler önüne serilmişti. Bu kadar durağan dizilerin genellikle hitap ettiği kitle 25yaş hatta 30 yaş sonrası oluyor. O yüzden herkesin bayılarak seyredeceğini düşünmüyorum. Karakterlerin hikayelerine işlenmiş anılar, acılar, mutluluklar en doğal yolla ekrana getirilmişti. Öyle ki izlerken sizde Jeju sakinlerinden biriymiş gibi hissediyorsunuz.

Tek tek karakterlerin üzerinden geçebileceğimiz bir dizi olmadığı için o şekilde bir detaya girmeyi düşünmüyorum. Her biri kendi hikayelerini bizlere anlatarak sahneden ayrılıyorlardı. Her bölümde bir diğerine odaklandık. Bir bölüm balıkçının yalnızlığını, içindeki sevginin büyüklüğünü izlerken bir sonraki bölümde balıkçıyla irtibattaki kahveciye kayıyordu. Her birinde farklı bir konuya dikkat çekiliyordu. Depresyon, velayet, kürtaj, travma, otizm gibi konular ve daha fazlası sırasıyla işlendi.

Bütün bu hikayelere tanık olurken, izleyiciye bir yandan da karakter analizleri yaptırıyor. Bütün izlediğimiz karmaşık dizilerden biraz uzaklaşıp nefes almak istiyorsanız doğru yerdesiniz. Beyninizi yakan bilim kurgulardan, mantığınıza oturmayan doğaüstü hikayelerden, karmaşık olay örgülerinden sıyrılmak için mükemmel bir tercih.

En başta da dediğim gibi, benim gözümde dizinin yıldızı Kim Woo-Bin’di. Daha önce izlediğimde bu kadar dikkatimi çekmemişti ama bu dizide güneş gibi parlıyordu. Özellikle gülümsemesi inanılmazdı. Sadece onun için bile izleyebilirsiniz. Gerek hayatta partneri olan Shin Min-A ise dizideki en arka sıralardaki bir roldeydi. Woo-Bin’e dizide partner olarak eşlik eden isim ise Han Ji-Min oldu. Ben ikilinin enerjisine bayıldım. Ji-Min’i ise oyunculuk anlamında baya başarılı buluyorum.

Lee Byung-Hun gibi bir isim bile bence Woo-Bin’i geçememişti. Tabi ki daha önce dediğim gibi, herkes kendine düşen kısımda hakkını veriyordu. Lee Jung-Eun tecrübesi ile Roh Yoon-Seo ise yeni nesli temsilen şahane iş çıkartmıştı.

After watching Our Blues for a while, the drama wraps you in its warmth. You find yourself liking it without even fully understanding why. It’s a slice-of-life story that doesn’t focus on a single plot or situation but instead weaves a heartfelt narrative through its characters. At 20 episodes, it might seem daunting at first, but the story flows beautifully. First and foremost, the cast is incredible. While Lee Byung-Hun and Shin Min-A are prominently featured, they’re not the true leads in my eyes. For me, the real stars were Han Ji-Min and Kim Woo-Bin.

Set on Jeju Island, the drama showcases the island’s natural beauty. Typically, such slow-paced dramas appeal to audiences over 25, or even 30, so I don’t think it’s for everyone. The characters’ stories—filled with memories, pain, and joy—are portrayed in the most natural way. Watching it, you feel like you’re one of the island’s residents.

Since it’s not a drama where we can focus on each character individually, I won’t go into too much detail. Each character tells their story and exits the stage gracefully. Every episode shifts focus to a different character. One episode might explore the loneliness and immense love of a fisherman, while the next shifts to the barista who interacts with him. Each episode highlights a different theme, tackling issues like depression, custody battles, abortion, trauma, autism, and more.

While witnessing these stories, the drama also encourages viewers to analyze the characters. If you’re looking to take a break from complex plots and unwind, this is the perfect choice. It’s a refreshing escape from mind-bending sci-fi, supernatural stories that don’t make sense, and convoluted narratives.

As I mentioned earlier, Kim Woo-Bin was the standout star for me. He didn’t catch my attention as much in previous roles, but here, he shines like the sun. His smile, in particular, is incredible. You could watch the show just for him. Shin Min-A, his real-life partner, plays a relatively minor role in the drama. Han Ji-Min, who plays Woo-Bin’s on-screen partner, was equally captivating. I loved their chemistry, and I find Ji-Min to be a highly skilled actress.

Even a heavyweight like Lee Byung-Hun couldn’t outshine Woo-Bin in my eyes. That said, as I mentioned earlier, everyone delivers their part flawlessly. Lee Jung-Eun brings her experience to the table, while Roh Yoon-Seo represents the new generation with a stellar performance.

I highly recommend giving it a watch.
