Hi it's me again! Can you please tell me who the children of Nyx/Nyx and Erebus are? I'm ready to even accept the option with Hesiod 😔😔😔

Well in regards to Nyx and Erebus we do have indeed Hesiod as one of the oldest sources but we have others too, much later from him such as Hyginus but also some Orphic traditions.

Now it seems that certain premordial deities born from the connection between Nyx and Erebus are: Aither/Aether and Hemera both supported by Hesiod and Cicero

Hygenius mentions also Eros (not to be confused with Eros the son of Aphrodite)

Hygenius also seems to name a bunch of other children she had with Erebus that belonged to some demonic forms (aka divinities) Moros Geras Thanatos Sophrosyne Ker Hypnos Oneiroi Epiphron Porphyrion Epaphos Eris Oizis Hubris Nemesis Ephrosyne Philotis Eleos Styx Moirai Hesperides

Basically most of these divinities have something to do with the order of the world or the essenses found in human nature such as Ker (heart), Oizis (mizery)

Cicero gives a slightly smaller list but he also includes names such as Dolon Ponos Deimos Keres Momos Apate

In a way he adds some more...dark names to the list such as Keres (shadows) or Momos (quarrel)

Nyx is also responsible for several fatherless births according to various writers.

Several of her children seem to be basically the original concepts of cosmotheory or of cosmos in general and in a way shows how the ancient greeks believed everything started from nothing; nyx (night) and erebos (darkness) basically give birth to what gives the world consistency such as fate and love and some negative aspects such as hubris or darkness or deceipt.

Apollo and Heracles as the brightest stars of the constellation Gemini

The two figures–lovingly holding each other–are identified as Apollo and Heracles. Apollo has his left arm extended out holding a bow and arrow. In his right arm he is holding a lyre. Heracles has his left arm wrapped around the waist of Apollo and he holds a club in his right hand.

In Greek language, "Gemini" means twins. In Greek mythology, the constellation represented Castor and Pollux, the twin sons of Zeus and Leda. When Castor died, Pollux grieved for his fallen brother and asked Zeus that the two should share immortality. Zeus placed them both in the sky as the constellation Gemini, where they are seen in close embrace, inseparable to the last. The brightest stars of this constellation were however identified with Apollo and Heracles, who were also sons of Zeus by different mothers. The Roman writer Gaius Julius Hygenius was among the first to mention that Gemini was Apollo and Hercules. The Greek writer Ptolemy supported this view, naming Castor as “Star of Apollo” and Pollux as “Star of Hercules”.

BY TAIWO OGUNMOLA-OMILANI   The Trade Union Congress of Nigeria, (TUC) has elected Comrade Quadri Olaleye as its National President.   By constitution, Comrade Olaleye would head a 14-member National Administrative Council (NAC), of TUC, who were also elected to pilot the affairs of the Labour Centre for the next three years. He doubles as the National President of Food, Beverage and Tobacco Senior Staff Association, FOBTOB.   The names of those elected alongside are; Comrades Innocent Bola Audu of Association of Civil Servants of Nigeria, ASCSN, as 1st Deputy President, Oyinkan Olasanoye of Association of Senior Staff of Banks, Insurance and Financial Institutions (ASSBIFI) as 2nd Deputy President, Hygenius Chika Onuegbu of Petroleum and Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria, PENGASSAN, as 3rd Deputy President.   Others are; Comrades Muhammed Yunusa of Senior Staff Association of Statutory Corporations, Government Owned Companies (SSASSCGOC) as National Treasurer, Isaac Egbugara of Construction and Civil Engineering Senior Staff Association, CCESSA, as Fin.
