I just moved this little guy to a bigger vase. It is a hydroponic mint plant I have been working on lately. I mixed the solution it is growing in myself which is water with a little seaweed based organic plant food. This plant started out as one small cutting from our mint plant and later two more cutting the rooted waiting to be used were added. It’s so beautiful and amazing seeing what normally goes on in dirt. The roots and new growth are nothing short of art. Nature is incredible! 🌱 💧 ☀️ 🖼 #hydroponic #hydroponicgarden #hydroponicplants #hydroponicmint #hydroponicgrowing #plants #gardening #olc #ourlittlechateau #gardening #indoorgardening #watergarden #watergardening #hydroplantsofinstagram #plantvideo #mintplant #mint #plants #naturelovers #natureisamazing #somethingdifferent https://www.instagram.com/p/CULyLVdKxQ-/?utm_medium=tumblr

I get this question constantly. Yes! You can absolutely transplant from the Gardyn into a planter or traditional garden. In fact, sometimes I like to use the Gardyn just to get basil or tomatoes up and going, to be able to have a nice healthy starter plant to pop outside during the summer months. It has happened! Aphids have invaded my strawberries! And yes, I’ve used the African black soap and washed them and I was just so frustrated that I continued to battle them, that I finally brought in ladybugs. An adult ladybug can eat up to 50 aphids a day! But I ended up with so many that took over so quickly and the aphids continued to just multiply. It’s all about balance. So after doing a little research I learned that you can help keep aphids away by partner planting and bringing in chives, cilantro, dill, mint and catnip! For those of you who are using seeds that Gardyn provides, this makes it quite easy as you should already have some of these things growing potentially in your Gardyn. If you haven’t seen my other videos on this hydroponic unit, you can click on the link in my bio to check them out. #essiflynn #essiflynnrecommends #fightingaphids #aphidinvasion #partnerplants #ladybugs #ladybugs🐞 #ladybugsofinstagram #aphids #aphidsbegone #hydroponicstrawberries #hydroponicstrawberries🍓 #gardyn #gardyntech #gardyner #gardyners #gardyngrows #gardynreview #techreview #apartmentgardening #apartmentgarden #indoorgarden #indoorgardening #pestinvasion #gardenpests #gardenpestcontol #naturalpestcontrol #gardenpests #hydroponicchives #hydroponiccilantro #hydroponicmint (at Charlotte, North Carolina) https://www.instagram.com/p/CMc3a1UBcDz/?igshid=mzk1yfjgcg59
