It has happened! Aphids have invaded my strawberries! And yes, I’ve used the African black soap and washed them and I was just so frustrated that I continued to battle them, that I finally brought in ladybugs. An adult ladybug can eat up to 50 aphids a day! But I ended up with so many that took over so quickly and the aphids continued to just multiply. It’s all about balance. So after doing a little research I learned that you can help keep aphids away by partner planting and bringing in chives, cilantro, dill, mint and catnip! For those of you who are using seeds that Gardyn provides, this makes it quite easy as you should already have some of these things growing potentially in your Gardyn.
