You Clever, Clever Boy
Tumblr media
Pairings: Anthony + Kate; Benedict + Sophie; Colin + Penelope; Daphne + Simon; Eloise + Phillip; Francesca + Michael; Gregory + Lucy; Hyacinth + Gareth
Extra Characters: Dowager Viscountess Violet Bridgerton, Edmund Bridgerton II, Miles Bridgerton, Thomas Bridgerton, Violet Bridgerton II, Agatha Bridgerton, Belinda Basset, George Bridgerton, Amanda Crane, Georgiana Crane
Summary: The annual Bridgerton Pall Mall has been somewhat interrupted by the first words of one young Bridgerton. or: How I imagine the final ever scene of Bridgerton taking place.
Tumblr media
It was time for the annual Bridgerton Pall Mall game. This year, playing for the Mallet of Death, was Anthony and Kate, Benedict, Colin, Daphne and Simon, Eloise, Francesca, Gregory and Hyacinth.
Violet was sitting in the shade, looking out at her fully grown children, squabbling over pall mall sticks. She sighed and shook her head. They were like this as children, Edmund had always encouraged their competitive nature - and this is what it has spiralled into.
She pulls her attention away from her children, looks over to the other side of the Aubrey Hall gardens, and smiles at her grandchildren. She could see Anthony's boys (Edmund and Miles) chasing Colin's son Thomas. Three little girls were using one of the new skipping ropes - Benedict's daughter (Violet), Colin's daughter (Agatha - lovingly nicknamed, Aggie) and Eloise's daughter (Penelope). One of Daphne's daughters - Belinda - was sitting in front of her grandmother, working on her mathematics.
Two pairs of shoes brought the Dowager Viscountess away from her musings, and a pair of little hands wrapped themselves around her legs. Looking down, there was little George Bridgerton - Colin and Penelope's youngest child. "Hello, Georgie," she ran her fingers through his brunette locks - he looked so much like Colin did at his age. The only difference? Georgie Bridgerton has yet to speak a single word. "Where is your mama?"
"Hello, Violet," the voice of Penelope Bridgerton causing Violet to look over at her daughter-in-law with a smile - she had always wished for Colin to marry Penelope (when he found out everyone knew of his feelings before he realised them, he nearly demanded to know why nobody ever told him). Penelope leaned down and pressed a kiss to her mother-in-law's cheek. It was well known Penelope had a better relationship with her in-laws than her own family.
Colin looked away from the game of Pall Mall and spotted his wife talking to his mother, who was currently running her fingers through his son's hair. Penelope looked away from Violet and caught the eye of her husband (much like they always had done in every social situation), a large smile blossomed over Penelope's face as well as Colin's.
She looked away from her husband, a subtle pink blush still rose up her cheeks, even after all these years - he could still make her blush. "Thomas!" Penelope exclaimed, hurrying over to her son who had been accidentally toppled over by Edmund. "Are you alright, darling?" Colin had dropped his pall mall stick and hurried over along with his wife.
Colin was followed by Anthony and Kate to deal with the situation between their sons.
Tumblr media
Anthony, Kate and Colin made their way back to the Pall Mall game as Penelope took Thomas up to where Violet was sitting with Belinda and Georgie.
"Are you alright, Thomas?" Violet asked, reaching her fingers out to wipe away one of his tears.
Thomas didn't say anything. Only nodded at his grandmother and manoeuvred himself so he was sitting in the chair with Violet.
Colin kept glancing over at his wife and two of their children. He couldn't imagine just how close he got to losing Penelope to Lord Debling (who went on to marry Cressida Cowper, however, part way into his travels to the North, he and the entire crew perished). If he hadn't admitted his feelings in the carriage, he would have lost her - they wouldn't have their four darling children. Agatha, Thomas, Jane and George.
One of his mother's ladies' maid brought out another chair for Penelope to sit in as she brought Georgie into her lap.
Tumblr media
Daphne looked over at her husband, Simon, with a smile then glanced over at Belinda (who was being supervised by her grandmother with her mathematics). "I believe she may ask for advanced mathematics soon," she tells him.
Simon also looked over at their daughter, a smile growing on his face. "I believe so, she is more Bridgerton than she is Basset," Daphne laughed at his words and stepped up to take her turn.
Simon watched his wife, as she swung her red ball through the third wicket. He was extremely grateful to have been able to marry Daphne, rather than any other debutante that year.
Tumblr media
Both Gregory and Benedict were worrying over their wives (Lucy and Sophie, respectively) as they were both nearing their suspected due dates. Eloise kept looking down to the other end of the garden, where her husband Phillip Crane (the former husband to the first Lady Crane - Marina) was planting some new flowers for Violet with his daughters Amanda and Georgiana.
Penelope had been talking to Violet, staring out at the garden (making sure her children were alright) when the gentle "mama," made her stop talking. She knew three of her children's voices. The only one she didn't know was...
She looked over at Violet, to make sure she did hear what she thought she heard. Violet also had a look of surprise.
It was Georgie. Her littlest baby finally said his first words.
"Georgie? Was that you?" She asked gently, looking down at him.
Georgie tipped his head, so he was completely resting against Penelope. "Mama," he says again.
Penelope let out a stuttered gasp, then a loud shriek escaped her. Which caught the attention of Colin and Eloise (the former who dropped his pall mall stick and ran over to his wife as quickly as his legs could take him). "Pen!" He called, which prompted Eloise to run over. "What is it? What happened?"
"Georgie spoke," she cried, holding their son to her.
Colin looked from his wife to his mother (who nodded, with tears in her eyes). Belinda pulled at his sleeve from where he was kneeling in front of his wife. "He spoke, Uncle Colin."
Colin let out a stuttered laugh, reaching over to rest his hand on the side of Georgie's head. "Of course he did, my clever boy!" Georgie smiled at his father. "What did he say?"
"Georgie," Violet said, capturing the little boy's attention. "Who has you? Who is this?" She pointed to Penelope.
Tilting his head back up, his face shone with the amount of love he holds for Penelope, even before he spoke, it was well known that Georgie was Mama's boy (as Agatha was Papa's girl). "Mama."
Colin rested his head on Penelope's knee for all of one second. "You clever, clever boy! Yes, mama has you!" Colin pressed a kiss to the top of Georgie's head.
"P-P-" Georgie started, making Colin look down at his son, with wide tearfilled eyes. However, before Georgie was distracted by a passing butterfly.
Penelope giggled and rested her cheek on top of Georgie's. "Give him time, he will say Papa soon."
Georgie looked away from where the butterfly had flown and then looked up at Colin. "P-papa," of course Georgie had to speak and call for both of his parents within the space of five minutes.
Colin exclaimed with joy, pulling Georgie from Penelope's lap and throwing him up into the air (which was followed by Penelope asking him to please be careful with Georgie), and pressed multiple kisses to his son's face. "You clever boy!"

seeing jonathan bailey in wicked made me remember how absolutely incredible he is in the second season of bridgerton and just how good that season is in the first place. so anyways i’m back in a bit of a bridgerton swing and i was just thinking about how it’s so funny that the bridgertons are one of the most prestigious families of the ton and yet literally every single sibling has a major scandal with their partner. (this is going off both the books and the show)
daphne and simon get caught in the garden, simon and anthony duel, and daphne and simon are forced to marry (this is literally the tamest scandal by far)
anthony nearly marries kate’s sister but he literally makes googoo eyes at kate during the fucking wedding so edwina catches them and ends her wedding that THE QUEEN LITERALLY SET UP
benedict falls in love a maid, sophie, at his house (it’s a little more complicated than that, but this is the short version), sophie gets fucking ARRESTED for stealing from her stepmom, benedict marries her anyways. also sophie is an illegitimate daughter. and the scandal of benedict marrying ‘below his status’ forces them to move out to the country to get away from the ton
COLIN MARRIES LADY WISTLEDOWN
eloise runs away from home to go decide if she wants to marry her pen pal. her brothers find her and basically force them to get married so it doesn’t create a scandal. (said pen pal is literally MARINA’S WIDOWED HUSBAND, so this is going to be even messier in the show if they don’t change it because then she’s going to marry the husband of colin’s ex and penelope’s cousin which is… interesting)
francesca starts out normal, but then she marries the cousin of her dead husband, who they’re making a woman in the show, which means she’s gonna be GAY which is gonna make an even bigger scandal
hyacinth is basically a scandal just in and of herself because basically all the men of the ton are scared of her. but then she helps lady danbury’s GRANDSON break into his dad’s house to search for hidden diamonds (said dad is also not actually his dad (he mom cheated with his uncle) and also hates him and wants to ruin him). (this is my favorite book by far.)
you think it can’t get any messier and then gregory goes and becomes the most unhinged bridgerton to date. he falls in love with this girl, lucy, except she’s already betrothed to someone and he literally RUNS IN AND INTERRUPTS LUCY’S WEDDING and asks her to marry him instead and she fucking says NO. but then it’s revealed that she’s being blackmailed and they end up together. also at one point he ties her up in a closet so she doesn’t try and sabotage herself.
anyways, poor violet bridgerton. she seriously never gets a break from her children

hello have not been on here in literal years and reactivated simply to post my modern bridgerton hcs that came to me as i was falling asleep would not let me go until i wrote them down! enjoy!
~~~~~~~~~
the entire family is still very much british upper class - they regularly interact with the royals and attend all the family event like wimbledon and ascot. they are regularly featured in the pages of the tabloids much to their annoyance. they also went to either oxford, cambridge, or st. andrew’s (franny)
- anthony - still who he is, took over edmund’s position in the family business. huge company either a law firm, business like real estate or holdings. he’s ceo and damn good at his job. still viscount but it is really in name only.
- kate - still very much who she is, i can see her either going very much a lawyer or the artist route but i like to think of her as leaving her art as a hobby that she does simply for the pleasure of it.
- benedict - artist can do either painting or photography but has become very famous for it, initially it was because of the family name but then people started seeing his talent for what it is. his photos have been featured a bunch of times in british vogue and he is one of their go to photographers.
- sophie - very much a primary school teacher because of her experience with araminta as a child she was determined to not let that happen for other children so she makes damn sure that while they are at school in her class they know some one is looking out for them.
- colin - travel writer. he works for some magazine and has his own column. the magazine is owned by like some big media company that has their own building.
- penelope - pen works for a different magazine that is owned by the same parent company as colin’s so they work in the same building when colin is not on assignment. she secretly still runs lady whistledown that is like deux moi and once she gets outed she starts her own mini media empire. still besties with eloise.
- daphne - she is very much the perfect socialite philanthropist that is so perfect she seems like she would be a bitch but truly is that nice. is still married to simon after they fake dated due to some media scandal. lives her absolute best WAG life and has the season down to a science.
- simon - is a huge sports star, think david beckham. technically was still the duke but officially gave up the title to piss off his father. this man was born to be girl dad.
- eloise - once she realized just how much privilege she has, she put her money where her mouth is and is constantly going to protests much to anthony’s annoyance (not because he doesn’t agree with the cause just because she is giving the family a bad name in the press, he actually super proud of her.) el went to school for a degree in women and gender studies and is super involved in academia when not getting arrested.
- phillip/a - a botany professor at the university where el is based out of. still has the kids from their previous relationship with marina but they were able to get a divorce because it is the 21st century and co parent the twins quite well. their gender honestly doesn’t matter for this, they love plants and eloise - the order of that is not important.
- francesca - autistic, it is important to me that you know that. she is a film composer, she loves getting to create the score for movies and that it doesn’t require that much human interaction.
- john - still unfortunately passes away, but prior to that was some kind of finance guy. was generally the nicest guy and loved fran with his entire heart.
- michael/michaela - hot. like the most beautiful human being you have ever laid eyes on. they work as an actor because it’s fun but secretly are insanely smart and like build computers for fun.
- gregory - anthony’s mini me and he wouldn’t have it any other way. he works for the family company and loves it. generally small bean like but is insanely tall, like taller than benedict much to everyone’s annoyance but no one more than hyacinth. he worships the ground lucy walks on but they only have three or four kids because they have access to birth control.
- lucy - a mini kate. also a lawyer who’s family firm got bought by kate’s and then started working under her where she eventually met greg when he was visiting his favorite sister kate for their monthly lunch date. has ocd.
- hyacinth - a child prodigy, started university at like 15 (which she never lets greg forget) works as a ta (or whatever the uk equivalent is) for agatha who is an old family friend through whom she meets gareth. her field is like archeology or some other super niche thing. (agatha does not have to teach, she does it because if she doesn’t how else will the new generation ever be taught the right way to do things)
- gareth - is so fucking chill but absolutely matches hyacinths freak. no one is quite sure what he does, he has explained it many times but no one truly knows even hyacinth.
- violet - was besties with princess diana (old money england) she unfortunately passes around the same time as edmund and she just loses it. luckily it is the modern days was able to get help but it took a little while. though once she is back on her feet she is a force to be reckoned with. she runs the family foundation which focuses on mental health and allergy awareness.
thank you for reading this! i will take no criticism at this time but welcome any addition thoughts!
I want Anthony to be all protective when it’s Hyacinth’s season. Not like toxic in season 1, but that’s his baby sister.
He was her father figure! She had never met Edmund. She’s his baby. He’s extra protective. He cries in bed at night a little when Hyacinth enters the marriage market bc his baby girl is growing up and Kate has to rub his back.
I want him to be Gareth’s number one hater but still lets Hyacinth marry him, because he wants her to be happy and he trusts her judgement.
(He takes comfort in knowing Gareth is scared of him and also that Lady D would also absolutely destroy Gareth if he hurt Hyacinth)
Ranking the Bridgerton books:
1. The Viscount Who Loved Me - 4 ⭐️. Kate and Anthony’s book is number 1 because the characters were true to themselves throughout the book, I understood their motives and that made them amazing characters to follow as they fall in love with each other. It’s a great rivals to lovers, and seeing their love grow is beautiful. It made me giddy with happiness, kick my feet, cringe and made me almost cry. The angsty first time sex scene was everything I needed it to be. Season 2 was amazing, and the book is almost better!!
Tumblr media
2. When He Was Wicked - 4⭐️. Side note before I get into it: I loved Micheal’s familial relationships in this book, as he grew up with his mother and Johns mother as parental figures, and I consider those two lesbian icons.
I loved reading Francesca and Micheal’s story. When you meet them before their story begins in earnest you see their friendship, and they immediately jumped out of the page as two people who have a fun and interesting connection as friends and ‘cousins/ family’ (they’re not actually cousins, Micheal is John’s cousin). When you meet them four years after John’s death, they have to work to become friends again. In the midst of that you see that Micheal respects Francesca as the countess of Kilmartin as he left her in charge as he left England for four years. Because Michael and Francesca are technically family (Micheal becomes the new Earl of Kilmartin when John dies) and share some residencies the lack of propriety is expected so they are alone together. It brings them together and it lets them do wicked and sexy acts to each other, especially when the story moves to Scotland and they are alone together in the Scottish country-side ( and Francesca’s been married, the power dynamics in the bedroom were 🥵🥵❤️❤️). It was beautiful to see Francesca experience love and desire after loss, and after expecting to get married again just to produce a child (and also keep the Kilmartin name and estates she’s run for years, and her connection with Micheal and John).
Tumblr media
3.  It’s in His Kiss - 4⭐️. Hyacinth and Gareth are the most well matched characters in the series. Hyacinth is such a riot and never shuts up and Gareth is her match. The banter between them is amazing. Hyacinth and Gareth have a shared goal in the book which makes it interesting and gets them into all kinds of trouble. As Hyacinth is a person who knows who she is, that also translated to the best first kiss and first time, as she was taking as much control as she could. There is some dodgy lines of consent in this series, and I appreciated the full and out loud consent Hyacinth gave at all steps. They’re great characters to read about, and Lady Danbury plays a prominent role which is so much fun.
Tumblr media
4. Romancing Mr Bridgerton - 4⭐️. Colin and Penelope’s story ranks fourth because Colin is one of the worst men in this series, with his anger and resentment and hurt he causes Penelope both emotionally and physically were hard to read. I love Penelope in the book, 28 year old her is quietly confident and has some of the best lines of the whole series. This book also highlighted friendship, between Pen and Lady Danbury, Pen and the Bridgertons especially Eloise and Hyacinth and Pen and Colin. I also appreciate this book as the Lady Whistledown plot running parallel to the love story gave it intrigue and drama, and made up for the fact that the romance was very middle of the road.
Tumblr media
5. To Sir Phillip, With Love - 3⭐️. I was nervous about reading Eloise and Phillip’s love story because I had heard bad things about it, but it was fine. Phillip is a bad man, but all the men are in this series. I appreciated that Phillip knew he was bad and wanted to change himself and started to make changes in the small amount of time we had with him in the book, I respected his growth. Eloise is great, of course, speaks her mind, is talkative and interesting. I don’t think they are the most well matched couple but I had an enjoyable time reading the book and I think when they did communicate it did work. Phillips kids from his first marriage are a riot and very well written as children in my opinion. I do read Eloise as queer in the books, she literally runs away from home to a guy she’s never met because Penelope, her bestie she was planning to grow old together as a spinster, got married.
Tumblr media
Side note: Penelope, Eloise and Francesca (to Micheal) get married in the same year and month in the books, poor Violet.
6. On the Way to the Wedding - 3️. Gregory and Lucy had an interesting story (there was action, twists and turns, guns, blackmail, a gay character), but I don’t think they are well matched. Gregory believes so much about true love after watching the rest of his family marry for love, and Lucy values looking after her family and order. They didn’t convince me they were meant to be, they clearly loved each other but was it enough? I was definitely getting jaded near the end of reading the series. And I kept thinking that Lucy is like 17 (she’s the youngest of all the wives by a few years) and Gregory is 26, their age gap really took me out of the story.
Tumblr media
7. The Duke and I - 2.5⭐️. Just watch season 1, the book is almost the same with a little less characterisation and less exciting and beautiful sets and costumes. I respected Simon’s hold on his values, but it definitely conflicted with Daphne’s. I wanted to smash their heads together to communicate. As with the show, the best part is when they are fake courting.
Tumblr media
8. An Offer from a Gentleman - 1.5⭐️
Benedict and Sophie’s story ended up being my least favourite. I actually think Benedict and Sophie are well matched, but some of the things in this book really annoyed me. Benedict is the worst Bridgerton man/ sibling because of inexcusable actions he made in this book. I respected and enjoyed Sophie until she did something totally and completely out of character and then I stopped respecting her. My favourite part was when they met, my least favourite part was almost everything else.
Truly obsessed with Anthony Bridgerton because in each book about one of his sisters, their gentleman callers become aware of the fact that the viscount is actually a madman. I laugh out loud every time.
Current example as seen in It’s in His Kiss
How many men had the viscount scared off in this manner, Gareth wondered. Good God, was this why Hyacinth had gone unmarried for so long? He supposed he should be grateful, since it had left her free to marry him, but still, did she realize her eldest brother was a madman?
“If you don't make my sister happy," Anthony Bridgerton continued, his eyes just intense enough to confirm Gareth's suspicions about his sanity, "then you will not be happy. I will see to it myself."
But then Anthony goes on to tell him that even though Gareth will never reconcile with his father, he’ll always have the Bridgertons, and they’ll love him as one of their own. 🥹
Which couple elopes in your modern AU?
What is Violets reaction?
Technically speaking, none of them. But...
Anthony & Kate, Colin & Penelope, and Daphne & Simon all have nice, traditional society weddings.
They're big, but not excessively so. Tasteful. With Daphne being Violet's first to get married and Anthony being the oldest, they would never get out of doing big society affairs. And Colin & Penelope kind of like the spectacle of it all. Plus, Penelope's mother would never pass-up the opportunity to show off the family's new connection to the Bridgertons.
Benedict & Sophie and Francesca & John/Michael have small affairs.
Benedict & Sophie don't want to wait to do a full society affair. And besides, Sophie doesn't have any family or really that many friends doesn't know that many people, and Benedict doesn't want her to feel uncomfortable at her own wedding.
Francesca & John are just out of college, so its a respectably sized event, but nothing huge. When Francesca & Michael get married, they decide they don't want to make a huge deal of it, but still want to do something special, so they have everyone fly out to Cabo and do a beach ceremony.
Eloise & Phillip and Gregory & Lucy come the closest to eloping.
Eloise & Phillip have been living together for awhile, and one day decide they should just make it official. They set a date for a courthouse wedding, and inform the family. Anyone who can make it up is welcome to be there, but they aren't changing the date.
Gregory & Lucy go to the court house not long after the whole "crashing Lucy's first wedding" incident. They decide that a full wedding so close to the incident is probably in poor taste, but they don't want to wait. Like Eloise & Phillip, they tell people they're going, though that message may have gone out the morning they went to the courthouse...
Hyacinth & Gareth go BIG.
There are big society weddings. And then there's Hyacinth & Gareth's wedding. With both Bridgerton and Danbury money going into the event, and Hyacinth's personality making decisions, it's an over-the-top event that people are talking about for years. The bride and groom have multiple outfit changes. The reception goes for hours. The couple and their friends go bar hopping until 4 AM.
The weddings don't really matter to Violet, as long as her children are all happy.
my predictions for the bridgerton show and its remaining seasons/bridgerton siblings and their romance stories, the order we will see them all.
all the speculation surrounding who is going to be the next mc in bridgerton s4, and of course i am hoping and wanting it to be benedict. but i do think it actually will be him and not eloise.
yes, eloise’s story comes directly after polin’s, jump started by their engagement. but that is also due to the time jump polin’s story has so that pen and eloise are older and settled into the titles of “spinsters”. in s3 eloise is only in her 2nd season out, and would not be considered a spinster yet for another season or two. and also considering the fact that it would have just been another year (2 in total) since marina and philip got married, so her children would not be that old. in eloise and philip’s story, the children are a big component, and them still being toddlers/babies wouldn’t push the story like it should. (yes they could alter it, but i don’t see that happening).
as for benedict, his story offers the perfect time jump. if he were to meet sophie at the last ball at the end of s3, it would offer the perfect opportunity for a time jump between s3 and s4, perfect for ben to have been searching for his mystery woman during that time (and perfect for philip’s children to grow in time for eloise and his story).
it also brings in the build up we have seen so far for the cowper’s. cressida’s mother’s name is “araminta” and they would not have two characters of the same name, especially one uncommon as araminta (the same name of sophie’s stepmother in the books). and seeing a little more of a glimpse into cressida and her parents, even her father, it makes sense that they could be the ones connected to sophie. not to mention cressida being such a more complicated character than the audience had thought, honestly being a good mixture of rosamund and posy (sophie’s step sisters).
it also wouldn’t quite make sense for eloise to be next to have her romance. she is still young, and we have not seen any build up for her yet (the letters, the mysteriousness that leads to her running away to philip). meanwhile, we have seen constant build up for benedict, especially after his short talk with anthony in s3e1 where he mentions he liked stepping in as viscount to look over the estate while kanthony were in their honeymoon because it gave him purpose and something to do, the exact thing he seeks for in his own story and is delved deeper into then.
people will counter that eloise’s story starts because of polin’s engagement so it’s a direct correlation. and that’s how it was in the books, but i don’t think that’s how it will go in the show. i think her catalyst will be benedict getting married instead. her relationship with ben has shown to be closer and more pronounced than her other siblings, and with her and pen’s relationship still being unsteady and unsure what will happen at the end of s3, it doesn’t quite make sense for it to affect eloise as hugely as it does in the books. i think even polin’s engagement/marriage will spark eloise to start writing letters (i see polin travelling for awhile for their honeymoon, sparking eloise to want to write letters to pen and colin as much as she can, sparking further her writing to philip upon hearing of marina’s death (probably having heard of it before polin does so feeling a sense of responsibility to write to him in their stead)).
having benedict’s story come next will also we a good segway into seeing life outside of society. with eloise, francesca, hyacinth and gregory’s story not set majorily in the eyes of the ton and society, but benedict’s have some of both, being a good start to transitioning the show to that side of this world that has been built.
this way, s4 would still center around benedict and his romance with sophie, most likely after she has run away from her home (so we will probably see the flashbacks to those events throughout the season as it will have been a few years). and it also gives some time to build up eloise’s story more and maybe hearing of marina’s death, etc.
and of course, the remaining seasons will still continue in the order of the books. in s4 (benedict) and s5 (eloise), we will see more of francesca and john, them marrying, being introduced to michael, john’s death, and maybe a little bit of the separation between frannie and michael. which will lead to their story as s6, right after eloise and philip. and hyacinth and gregory will be older (and their actors as well so it won’t be inappropriate for them to have their own adult romance stories told). so for s7 and s8, they will step into their stories with gareth and lucy
you can see i have thought a lot about this and i appreciate anyone who has read this far lmao. but i would love to hear other people’s thoughts as well!!!
As an apology for my last post I wanted to put this idea out there as a potential plot line for hyareth.
We all know Lady Danbury and Lord Ledger's relationship ended shortly. Choosing their duty over love. Lord Ledger choosing his duty to Violet and Lady Danbury focusing on securing all the newly titled families.
What if Violet and Marcus Anderson also have a short-lived love affair. Sorry, Mama B.
Lady Danbury comes to see it as a curse that a relationship between her family and Lord Ledger's can't last. Always ending on bittersweet notes, or they choose something else over that blossoming love.
Then along comes hyareth, and Lady Danbury thinks it's the third generation of short-lived love. But Hyacinth and Gareth's love isn't short-lived. When it comes down to the choice, they choose love and each other. They are the relationship that breaks that cycle.
I managed to take photos of the original artwork for The Duke and I, The Viscount Who Loved Me, To Sir Phillip, With Love, When He Was Wicked & It’s In His Kiss. When I’ve tried to look for photos online, they haven’t always been the clearest quality. For some reason An Offer From A Gentleman, Romancing Mister Bridgerton & On The Way To The Wedding hardcovers didn’t have the artwork on the back, so I’m waiting to come across beat up copies of the paperbacks to take a picture of their step backs. Part 1 of 2.
