i love them 𖹭

out of all my oc's it's these that i return to the most and derive the most comfort from, and their lore is ever building and evolving. a couple of years ago i ran the thought of how my cannibal bbs would be around valentine's day by tcalm_lay and that above piece is the end result of that slightly panicked lore dump.

that slightly panicked lore dump being: "So. Valentine's Day. There's hearts everywhere and on everything and people are giving them to each other, right? Tl;dr Yūmei doesn't understand any of it really. But sees it, gets the baseline jist that it's something sweet. So they go and get an actual heart, and present it to Lyssa - still bloody, may as well still be warm." because the whole thought of "monster doesn't understand but they're trying their best" has my whole heart every time and slapping that onto my cannibal bb just works.

and here we are now with so much having evolved but there's still things that simply remain the same. boisu - the sentient mouth at the back of yūmei's neck - has been given the ability to separate into their own body and the primal aspects remain. onesmolhurt graciously taking the request to have the sweet bb echoing what had been done years ago now that they can experience it without having to entirely share the experience.

there's years of lore and love that's been poured into these hellions, and there's a handful of people who know most of it because i'm still hesitant to share actual lore outside of those close circles but there we go.
