🇬🇧 The Czech characters Spejbl and his son Hurvinek were created by Josef Skupa and appeared on stage first in the 20s. Humour and everyday satire shaped the puppets' shows. Many toys were influenced by Spejbl and Hurvinek and in the 60s the board game »Vesel& Cestoväani — Spejbla a Hurvinka« or »Merry Travels — Spejbl and Hurvinek was launched. One of those board games is also in our collection and was selected by the team as object of the month and can be visited for free at the foyer, together with our current special exhibition, at the DDR Museum. Humor und Alltagssatire prägten die Inszenierungen der beiden Marionetten. In den 60er Jahren wurde das Brettspiel »Vesel&e Cestoväni — Spejbla a Hurvinka« oder »Frohes Reisen — Spejbl und Hurvinek« herausgebracht. Das Brettspiel wurde von unserem Sammlungsteam zum Objekt des Monats Oktober gekürt und kann im Foyer des Museums zusammen mit der aktuellen Sonderausstellung kostenfrei angesehen werden.
