this took a turn for the crack but tbh i started giggling when i imagined this scene and i havent stopped giggling SO HERE IT IS:

So maybe Mobei Jun kidnapped his own son. And also the demonic cultivator his son had been battling, just in case this was important luggage for his son. It was difficult to say whether his son took to demonic or human courting after all.

Surely when Qinghua returns, he’ll be able to help figure out how to deal with… this. In the meantime, he’ll just have to ensure his son and his (maybe?) future spouse don’t escape.

so then when mbj sees songxue fighting, he's left asking "wait... is this flirting or what?" bc his son is half demon and HIS son, so that's pretty possible. and the guy he's fighting is a demonic cultivator and yea, he's human, but also demonic is right there in the title sooooo

basically mbj is that one meme with the equations over a persons face and then the meme of "ive connected the dots!" "you havent connected shit" bc he's sure that if his son is truly in love with this demonic cultivator, he cant just snatch him from this dimension without nabbing the guy he's courting too

mbj: my son is already due to be engaged, i'll start planning the wedding immediately
