My favorite book this month was The Scratch Daughters! It was so queer and witchy and it was a perfect read for Halloween. 🎃

Sorry I'm late, I got added to the Wild Hunt last night and ran and reveled with them for what felt like 100 years plus a day until I landed the killing blow on a stag with bronze antlers then suddenly woke in my bed, willow leaves in my hair, a nameless song echoing in my ears, and my hands still bloody, so yeah, totally missed my alarm and stuff.

So, I'm not all that caught up with canon lore yet, but one thing that annoys me at times is when people blame Rook for his bad new style (it's not even bad. He looks cute, look at him smiling so much he's so baby). Rook has been shown several times to do things on his own volition without even warning Vil (like, you know, changing dorms?!) and you'd expect me to believe he's not the one to have chosen his new style ?

Anyway, leave my man and his bad haircut choices alone. What's the point of having hair that can grow back if you don't have some fun with them while you're still at school ?

This book wasn’t what I was expecting and yet it also somehow hit all the right notes for me. I loved all the angstyness, all the messy complicated family drama, and love that drew Mutt and Jeffery together. I also really liked that we got to see more of Blair and Richard, and that we got just a little peek at Luca and Pru. I can’t wait to see more of them in future books! I my only complaint for this book was that it some places it felt a bit slow. Otherwise I really enjoyed this. Hunt Me! is getting four and a half stars!
