Danny Phantom Au Idea: SplitSoul Au

Wanted to try writing a fanfic but gave up because the characters kept becoming ooc. But I still wanted to get this idea out there so here we are.

An Au that is a mixture of the following concepts I enjoyed reading about over the years:

-Eldritch Danny: Danny becoming some sort of eldritch entity but still keeps most of his personailty and heroic tendencies.

-Ghost Repellent Danny: After the ghost portal inccident Danny didn't become a half ghost but was instead spit out with little to no damage. He's still fully human but for some reason ghost avoid him at all cost. This leads to danny not believing in ghosts becuase they're always gone when he goes near them.

SplitSoul Au Info:

-When Danny entered the portal and turned it on he dies. However Clockwork tried to intervened to keep Danny alive but the result ended both outcomes becoming true but not in the way Clockwork wanted. Instead of Danny becoming a halfa his soul was split in two.

-The majority of the sould stayed with his human body. So Danny Fenton woke up the following morning sore but completly healthly. Thinking he must have just touched something and got shocked, thus knocking himself out, continued living his life as normal.

-A splinter of his soul found itself in the ghost zone. Due to being mostly an empty vessel, a weird interaction the occured when Danny activated the portal while inside of it and the remnants of Clockworks meddling, the splinter was able to greedly devour the ecto energy of the ghost zone and rapidly grow in strength. This resulted in a gaint Eldritch Entity with Danny's heroic tendenties with a deep connection the ghost zone.

-Danny Fentom: Human

-Phantom: Eldritch Ghost

Episode Ideas:

-Mystery Meat: Danny, Sam, Tucker eating lunch when Danny needed to leave(Needing to go to WS, forgot something in class room, or something like that.) Thats when Lunch Lady appears and does her thing. However this time when people try to leave Large ghostly hands ripped into reality and block the exists. The room grows chilly(Green tint appears) as a large rips in space appears in the middle of the cafeteria. Large ghost hads grip the edges and tears the rift open revealing a large humaiod figure with counless arms. The figure attacks the Lunch Lady, evetaully defeating her and dragging her back into the ghost zone via the tears in space. The figure guided by vague ideas and feelings turn their gaze towards a cowering Dash and screams at him before charging. However before the figure can reach dash the doors which seem impossible to open swung open. The chill instinstly dissapear as Danny unaware of what happened apologies to Sam and Tucker for taking so long. However before either of them can comment the bell rung prompting Danny to hurry his freinds so they won't be late for class.

-Episode Cycle: Ghosts would appear, then Phantom would defeat them and before they can go on a rampage Danny would walkin none the wiser of what happened causing Phantom to dissapear.

-Sam and Tucker finding seeing a connecting between Phantom and Danny starts investigation.

-Jazz joins the duo in thier investigation pretty early on because Phantom protected her from a ghost attack.

-His parents try to rope Danny in their ghost hunts especially thier hunt of Phantom but because Danny is with them they alway miss the ghosts.

-Urban Jungle: Gaint kaiju battle of Undergrowth and Phantom

-Bitter Reunions: The family goes to Vlad's as normal. The Phantom follows the valtures to Vlad. Vald and Phantom fight and Vlad would have lost multple times if it weren't for Danny constantly appearing before Phantom can land the finishing blow. Vlad become intrested in taking Phantom's power for himself. He also become intrested in Danny's what he thinks is Anti-Ghost powers. Danny just thinks of Vlad as his parent's weid college freind. Jazz might or might not learn of Vlad's ghost powers.

-The Ultimate Enemy: Instead of the dark future cartoon archetype it is instead becomes future enemies come to the present. Future enemies figure out Danny's and Phantoms connection and thinks that taking out Danny would also take out Phantom but being unable to do that in the future, finds away to send assassins to the past to take out Phantom before he got as strong as he is in the future. Clockwork wanting to stop this(And having more restrictions due to his meddling with Danny's death) decides to send the children on the main cast to the past. Because of my bias and my favourite ships being Danny x Sam and Danny x Ember, it would be the Danny's and Sam's child along with Phantom and Ember's child that Clockwork sends back in time. (I see Phantom becoming for human/becoming their own person as they grow in strength.) At the end the gang goes to the future and sees a glimps of what they can look forward to. I see Danny becoming an astronaut and because he didn't have to worry about ghosts he managed to keep his grades up. While Phatom became the protector of both Earth and the Ghost zone.

That is all I managed to think of. Feel free to use/exapand on this idea as much as you like

Anyways, um so I still do have my Transformers docs that I need to finish butttttttt.

….My Danny Phantom faze is back…

Yes I used to watch it and for some reason like a week-ish ago it bit me in the aft, but I still have not forgotten my TFP docs I’m still workin’ on those but hey when you move you lose internet so meh.

Anyway I drew some Danny Phantom art and I would like to share it :)

Yes I drew both human and ghost forms, I kinda just wanted an excuse to draw Danny with purple skin ‘cause I haven’t seen him drawn like that yet….

I was originally gonna draw him with light green-ish skin but then I was like “why not try a shade of purple?” And boom this ideas was born.

I also took reference to actual D£d bodies ‘cause if you let them sit for too long, the Bl°°d starts to collect at the bottom of the body and turns purple or if you cut off Bl°°d flow to somethin’ it goes purple. And hey I thought it might be cool soooo.

Also, THIS WAS WAAAAAY OUTTA MY COMFORT ZONE! No seriously I don’t like to draw side profiles cause I think they come out like scrap (just mine tho I love other peoples side profiles) but hey a shout out is deserved to my moms boyfriend, because he said it looked really good and he said, I did a great job on it ‘cause most of the time they don’t look that good since there so hard to do and most people kinda frag it up on certain parts of the face.

Anyway here’s my take on Danny Phantom. It was enjoyable to draw and pushed my comfort zone a bit too :)

AAAAAAA TOO CUTE

I made a design for Halfa Dash Au! =w= Nothing else I drew was going well then I drew this pose.. looked like Dash so I went with it. Took a while to figure out what colors. I decided not to invert him like Danny. Not completely anyways, some of his colors were inspired by inverted version of his colors. But I wanted him to be loud and very different from Danny's design... but still feel like a ghost. I figure his form turn more monster looking than human. Especially the longer time passes. And then a comic.. idk it just happened. Danny warned Dash about something, Dash ignored it thinking he could handle it on his own. Turns out he couldn't so now both him and Danny got hurt, because Danny couldn't let shit go down without stepping into the ring. Dash now feeling guilty, dumb, and insecure. Well admiring how Danny did it without hesitation.

DPxDC Mechanical Engineer Danny

Danny caught the attention of Batman while studying at Gotham University for his alternative energy projects. He’s hired right out of college to work on the Watchtower.

He shows absolutely no tell of his abilities till there’s a dire situation- Flash’s electric discharge messes with one of his projects in progress and the whole base would have lost air pressure if he hadn’t done a quick fix using telekinesis and ice.

Of course Batman notices.

Batman assumes the worst- he suspects Danny’s a rogue of some kind, someone who has infiltrated the Justice League with an ulterior motive. But he can’t just fire Danny now- he’s the only one who knows how the new Watchtower energy source works. Plus, he’s not letting Danny go anywhere until he’s figured out his true motives.

Cue Batman subtly testing Danny- tossing things at him to trigger inhuman fast reflexes, having him lift too-heavy machinery, setting up convenient opportunities to steal or snoop or otherwise be up to no good. Danny does take advantage but only once, to use a computer terminal with unlocked clearance. He didn’t plant any bugs that Barman could find, and he otherwise kept up his powerless civilian act perfectly.

Still, Batman’s not satisfied. He brings an infrasonic sound emitter to Danny’s lab one day, and that, of all things, is what gets Danny to break.

“I know what you’re doing,” Danny admits with a sigh, finally. “If you’re really that suspicious of me, I can leave, but I kinda like my job so I’d prefer not to. The benefits are insane compared to what’s standard.”

“I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

“Sure. yeah. How about you turn off the freaking noise generator and we can talk?”

“Hm.” Batman obliges, and he takes the stool next to Danny at his gesture.

“Number one, I’m not a meta. Despite all the data and conclusions you’ve probably drawn otherwise. Number two, I’m on your side. I’m here to work on the base, that’s it. I follow your rules to the letter.”

“The-“

“The classified files I looked at? Yeah that was the one exception. You already know what I looked at, I’m sure, but maybe you haven’t figured out why. It goes back to point one- I may not be a meta, but I am something that organization, the GIW, cares about. I looked at your files on them to sus out your relations. Seeing as I don’t particularly love being the victim to twelve degrees of human rights violations if I can avoid it.”

“Hm.” The Ghost Intelligence Ward was one of many government agencies that the Justice League hadn’t worked closely with. But they also hadn’t been flagged for Justice League investigation. Danny’s comments made him doubt that call.

“Any other questions?”

“If you’re not a meta, what are you?”

“I’m an engineer. A pretty decent one. And I’d really, really like it to stay that way.”

Batman considers, and ultimately lets him stay. He likes Danny (everyone likes Danny), and it would be a massive pain in the ass to replace him. He really is a good engineer.

It’s only much later that his faith in Danny is repaid in spades.

Batman finds Danny on the Watchtower command bridge. Alarms are blaring, the station has been knocked out of orbit, out the window there’s shrapnel floating everywhere as a space battle rages around them.

On the station it’s chaos. Technicians run around, shouts from the med bay, sparks from the walls.

Batman and Danny stand at the main controls, watching the battle outside, stoic, unmoving.

Wonder Woman’s harried voice crackles through on coms: “We need backup.”

“There is no more backup.” Batman replies, while looking pointedly at Danny.

“What?”

Batman doesn’t move.

“What.”

“The impact from Darkseid’s initial attack should have sent this station on a terminal trajectory toward the planet.”

“Well. We aren’t currently plummeting to our deaths, so turns out it didn’t do that.”

“You did something.”

“I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

“You’re lying.”

“Maybe Superman nudged us back on course in all the chaos.”

“I’ve been watching the trackers. No one else with the capability has come near the station.”

“Can’t you just be grateful we got lucky?”

Sounds of peril screech over the coms. Danny’s face scrunches.

“Luck had nothing to do with it. As it is now, we are going to lose this fight.”

“Isn’t there anyone else you can call?”

“I’m asking you. You can help, can’t you?”

The glare-off lasts a long moment more before Danny breaks.

“Fuck. Fuckity fuck.” Danny runs his hands through his hair. “Shit. You don’t know what you’re asking.”

“I’m asking you to save this and countless other worlds from a genocide. I’m also asking you to save my friends.”

Danny looks at him, hard, weary, and with a kind of deep resolve that feels far too ancient to be on the face of a supposed twenty-something.

“Fine. Fine. Okay.” He steps back and transforms. If Batman is surprised when he shakes off his human appearance like an old coat, he doesn’t show it. But what’s undeniable is the being in Danny’s place has the unmistakable presence of power.

“No one else can know.” His voice echoes in a way that’s sonically impossible, both sounding closer and further away than he should be.

He pulls a gear-shaped medallion seemingly out of thin air and puts it over his head in one motion.

“If I get in trouble for this, I’m blaming you.”

He vanishes. Outside, the shape of the battle changes instantly. The stars seem to glow brighter as the arms of the galaxy flash with the colors of the aurora. Then it’s like the void of space itself comes alive. It moves the spaceships back like they’re toys, plucking them from one side of the field to the other. It finds Darkseid at the heart of the chaos and massive arms of nothingness and darkness wrap around him. He’s screaming as it swallows him whole.

His armies scatter. The battle turns. The JL deal with the stragglers, but the air of relief is palpable.

Danny reappears next to Batman, once again donning his grease-stained coveralls. Arms folded.

“Happy?”

It took all of five minutes. Less, probably. Batman tamps down a thousand questions.

“Thank you.”

“I’m gonna need two weeks off minimum.” Danny snaps. “One to deal with the bureaucratic nightmare you’ve just caused me, and another to recover from the headache.”

Batman blanks. “Granted.”

Danny sighs. “And I’m not fixing the station until I’m back. It won’t fall out of the sky as is. Make up whatever excuse you want.”

“Done.” He considers. “I would prefer to tell them the truth. That you saved us.”

Danny glares. “I’m not supposed to save you. I made a pact not to use my power to influence the mortal realm.”

“A pact with who?”

Danny rolls his eyes. “The embodiment of Time. The concept of Justice. Among others.” He smirks at Batman’s confusion.

“And what, exactly, does that make you?”

He stands, framed by the space window, haloed by the stars. “I’ll give you three guesses.”

Batman frowns.

“Look. I like you guys. I like working on your base. I like supporting the work you do. But you can not go factoring me in to any of your plans or contingencies. This was a one time thing.

“So to answer your question again: I’m an engineer.”

Bruce tries to adopt Ellie, who is immediately against it. She keeps throwing him off her trail and he keeps tracking her down. She's honestly concerned, and normally she would handle her problems by herself- but this is Batman.

So when Bruce gets a little too close and Ellie is just so tired... she calls for Danny.

"Mom!"

Cue college student, perpetually tired and overworked Danny "High King Phantom" Fenton appearing from the very shadows Batman normally does himself, seeing the situation and going off at this "clearly older man" chasing his daughter in the middle of the night.

Cue the most elaborate "stop trying to adopt my kid before I adopt yours" series of battles

“Mom, why do you think ghosts are intrinsically evil?”

“It’s what the science says, of course!”

“No, I mean like, what were the studies? What did they actually observe”

“Ohh, I get what you mean, Danny! Well across all reputable reports of encounters with the ghosts strong enough to matter, they’ve always attacked first and never responded to attempts at communication! There’s no reason for them to do that if they’re not evil!”

“Huh…”

Danny, learning about Ghost Speak and how humans can’t understand it: hmm.

Danny, learning that ghosts greet each other and bond by fighting: hmmm.

King of Curses

So Danny finally got on JLD's radar, but not because of summoning, or ghost attacks, or anything like that.

No, he got noticed by pure accident, walking on the streets.

Why? Well it might have something to do with the baker's dozen of Ancients level curses wafting off of him.

Seriously this guy should not be remotely alive and kicking, what the fuck? Nocturne's mark alone would have sent him into unwaking slumber why is he up and around buying groceries???

...

In other words, Danny traded a bunch of claims with his ghostly friends and foes, intentionally or otherwise. Some of those are good natured, some not quite. But at the worse those just cause minor inconveniences. To him, that is.

Our beloved ghost boy might have failed to realize the ghosts are actually eldritch gods to the rest of the world... And he is half of one too.

The cult of...Danny Fenton?

So! Way back when Danny first moved into his new neighborhood in Gotham, he had some trouble controlling his Powers. The different Types and Levels of Ectoplasm in the air when compared to Amity had thrown off his control.

He was used to being in places where his Ectoplasm meshed well with the Atmosphere, like a Water Balloon in a Pool, but in Gotham that analogy would be closer to a Water Balloon in the sewers. It was too different from what he was used to to fully control his Powers.

So it's understandable that he messed up a few times and his neighbors found out about his Abilities.

They took it well at first, Danny wasn't going to go Rogues or anything, and he never used them maliciously, but eventually they got curious.

They asked what his limits were, how he got them in the first place, and what the hell the Ghost Zone was. The answers "None Really", "I died and was reborn", and "A Collective of every Afterlife at once" did spark some interesting reactions from them.

Most importantly, a few of them joked about him being an Eldritch God that they needed to worship. He was good enough friends with them that at that point they felt comfortable pranking eachother, so they did just that.

Danny woke up one day on his birthday, and saw all of his friends and neighbors surrounding the makeshift Throne they had made and put him on while he was asleep. The entire day they chanted stuff like "The Great One requires Ms. Smiths Apple Pie for his day of birth!" And "The Great One Wishes for us to sing the Ritual Song! Happy Birthday to You! Happy Birth-"

After his birthday, they kept up the joke.

It didn't help that his powers had evolved Again! And now he could bestow abilities onto his friends. The jokes they made about their God granting them Supernatural Powers to rule the world with were insufferable.

Then, one day while he was just resting at home, watching a movie on his TV, he felt a Pull at his Core. The same kind of Pull whenever he was being summoned. But why would they summon hi- Oh Shit! It's Mr Jenkins Party today! He was supposed to meet them at the Warehouse they used for special events an Hour Ago!

He quickly accepted the Summoning, but was met with a suprising sight. His Neighbors all tied up in a pile to his right, a spilled table of party food to his left, and right in front of him, Batman and his Family watching him with wary eyes.

Slowly, he opened his mouth. "...so, did you come for the party or..."

Scarecrow: I am the master of Fear!

Danny: Look, dude, I don't care what you and my knight get up to in the privacy of your bedroom, but you keep that to yourself.

Scarecrow: A wise guy, huh? Let's see how many jokes you can crack after my latest creation.

Danny: Agh! Did you just spray me with your cheap cologne?

Scarecrow: You shall know fear.

Danny: I shall know a shower to get this smell off me. What is that? Citrus? Gross.

Scarecrow: Why aren't you screaming in horror!?

Danny: Oh, I've experienced horrors alright. I have a meeting with Fright Knight after this. I won't be able to look him in the eye later.

Red Robin: This isn't what I was expecting when I used the emergency summons Constantine gave me. I thought it would bring him here not, who ever you are.

Danny: I forgot about my summoner. Hold tight, I'll save you now.

Danny to Scarecrow: Look, dude, normally I would beat you up, stuff you into a thermos, and wash my hands of it. But seeing as you're Fright Knight's lover, I'll just steal the human boy and give you a warning instead. Sound good?

Scarecrow: You shall not!

Red Robin: Wait a minute!

Danny snapping his fingers to open a protal: Shush human sacrifice. We must leave.

Scarecrow: Don't you dare! Hey!

Danny: Okay byeeeeeeee!~ *protal closes*

Batman: *crashing through a window* Scarecrow where is Red Robin!? What have you done with him!

Scarecrow: He got kidnapped by a being that feels no fear.

Batman: I will make you talk.

Scarecrow: I know I'm crazy but that's actually what happened, I swear.

Summoning fix it

Danny accepted being Ghost King when he was 20. Why 20? Because at that point his human half was looking more fae than human. At least he got that growth spurt and reached 6 foot 5. But the pointed ears, catlike eyes that glowed, fangs, and glowing freckles along with his height made him stand out.

Sam and Tucker, the two most liminal humans up till that point, were only better in that their eyes only glowed when emotional and that they didn’t have freckles. The trio had decided that they were more infinite realm denizens than living and they moved in to Danny’s new castle.

Accepting the throne was chaos. Especially with the observants constantly trying to butt in after he cut their power. They tried many things to keep him busy, including trying to bury him in centuries of old paperwork. Unfortunately for them Danny was not going to put up with that.

He sent out a message looking for any ghosts whose obsession was being a secretary. And there were more than he expected. After screening he chose a few and let the rejected ones know that he would set something up to help them later, but first he needed to straighten things out.

During all this Danny ended up summoned. He was annoyed that any regular old joe could just summon him. He was the Ghost King! He had more important things to do (even if it was just playing video games) than answer every summon request at other people’s whims. There were a multitude of dimensions out there, who knew how often he could be summoned?!

The trio quickly got to work and created a summon circle that first, allowed him to send someone in his stead, and second, prevented forced summoning if he declined answering.

Calling on more ghosts, he found one that grants wishes, and unlike Desiree, has no horrible consequences as long as a price of equal payment is made. He then wished all summoning circles to summon the ghost king from the point in time of his ascension be switched with his new one.

After that, he assigned one of the secretaries to be the one to answer the summons. He made a list of things to outright decline, and if they were unsure they were to call him and ask.

That’s how the Justice League ended up finding out that there was a new Ghost King. Constantine was particularly annoyed when he realized the switch with the summoning instructions. Luckily they weren’t on such a time crunch that they didn’t have the time to get the new materials needed.

Upon completion of the summoning, a female humanoid in a professional suit floated, and spoke “I am Penny, secretary of Ghost King Phantom. What is the subject of your summons?”

it hits different when it’s not green

I need a Misunderstanding trope where Phantom is put with one of the ‘kid’ groups because everyone assumes he’s a teen, but Phantom (he’s, like, 28) thinks he’s just like… co-managing/supervising the group with another Justice League member.

Asked if he’s in school thinking high school? He says yes, thinking of college where he’s going for his graduate degree. His grumbles over homework and time management skills cements it.

ICE contact? Frostbite. Yeah, that’s really his name. (Jazz talked him out of putting her because if it’s an emergency then they likely need medical history and support.) Here’s a device to actually reach him. His parents? Uhhh, nah, I would put my sister second.

It just goes on.

The guy snarks, puns, and throws jokes, clearly up-to-date with internet culture. He’s a casual dude, loves video games, burgers, and space. He’s kinda short and a little lanky, but he’s stupid strong (like he both forgets he is strong and doesn’t know his strength at times).

Phantom’s checking all the boxes as a teen hero both visually and on vibes with the League so they put him there. Danny’s touched that they think he’s responsible enough to put him in charge of the kids, so he does his best.

(Batman finds out about the appointment after it’s approved, but before he says anything he sees how much the teens open up around Phantom and… well… if they didn’t do their homework to see that the Phantom persona has been active for 14 years with pop-ups through history then that’s not really his problem, is it? He might miss that Phantom doesn’t realise this for a while…whoops.)
