Figured I should ask, what are some fond or interesting memories you have?

welllllll, i guess i'll go youngest to oldest? in the order of memories that come to me

-> in the third grade i was feeding ponies with my classmates and this one pony mistook me for a blade of grass. bit some flesh off my elbow. ow. my teacher was a little more ruffled than me i think, i was fine after it stopped hurting?? had to get 4 shots though

-> it was my aunt's wedding in finland and i had not yet developed inhibition....i fed everyone fresh GRASS on their plates,,,i was laughed at and discovered embarrassment that day. my aunt's cousin's mother tried to comfort me and we couldn't communicate at all due to the language barrier but i don't think i've laughed so hard ever again. we also picked berries in the forest!! such fun.

-> at the same wedding, i think i cried because i thought my aunt looked just like cinderella in her wedding dress and obviously wanted to stand next to her...but the groom got that honour. much to my dismay. now a version of the wedding photo where im really fucking grumpy exists and is framed on my grandparents' wall 😭

-> disneyland, paris. i thought the mickey mouse actor was actually mickey mouse. skipped the whole line in joy. best moment of my baby life

-> when i was summering with my relatives in delhi, there was this little litter of puppies that lived near one of the stalls in the marketplace with their mother. i'd drag my own mother along to see them every single day and somehow wore her down into letting me get my own little pup!! i love bruno

-> i wanted a pomeranian but my dad told me it was far too small and would get hurt in our house because i am rather clumsy, a trait i get from my mother, but amplified. i hesitantly still asked if they had a pomeranian, but the man had said they had pugs. which he claimed were basically the same thing. (not. but im glad.) so then they drove the first little pug here on a fucking SCOOTER and immediately i was in love. the boy was bald. he had NO HAIR on his head and he was still so happy to be here. immediately took him home. tried to name him crystal, dad said that was a stupid name. my friend had told me NOT to name my dog bruno and...well i saw only one thing to do ajshaushs

-> actually we had two guinea pigs, and before that two lovebirds. we didn't want to keep them caged, the birds, so we let them go, but jojo couldn't fly, i think he'd never learnt to iirc? so we had to return him and it was so heartbreaking. but honey was so happy soaring away

-> once when i was littler i liked collecting the dust chalk made. i'd pretend i was brewing concoctions with a little kitchenset and my mom did NOT like cleanup. she was upset and i couldn't for the life of me understand why so i started hiding chalk powder and stressing when i thought she'd find it 😭😭😭😭

-> i adored sudha murthy. i mean loved. i still have stories i remember and that i will tell anyone that hints just the slightest bit of interest in hearing

-> once, my mom told me not to talk to this girl because she thought she was a bad influence on me. i told that straight to the girl's face....to this day barely grasp why my mom didn't tell me not to tell her. how was i supposed to know???

-> i once danced while hula hooping to waka waka for a traditional indian religious festival *shudders in what were me and my friend thinking*

-> i used to love holi. loved loved loved it!! colour, water, music, friends, too bone deep tired for it now though i think

-> there was this one guy who made me and my ex very uncomfortable with weird comments so we just decided to make him uncomfortable back. ended up slighlty stealing his identity

-> more recent, i love making gifts for people. love it so much, my last gifts have been these neat potion bottle things i could show you if you'd like, photos edited to look like polaroids of favourite moments, coupons for hugs and stuff, my favourite memories come from seeing the looks on their faces as they received them. i live for personalised gifts.

-> in the second grade i wrote a story, i just wrote, no plot or really anything to interest you but my english teacher read it each time and gave me notes on the grammar and always encouraged me, which was a very sweet thing to do for a child. definitely encouraged me to write more

-> i used scribble on used paper, literally scribble lines, because that's how adults' handwriting looked to me. then my mom would pretend to grade it. i really do have good childhood memories if i look hard enough

as you know every time i see a very high priced MLP collection go up on goodwillshopping i need to check it out

and today there were a few at high prices!

The first one is easy enough to suss out. It has mimic:

From what I can tell, she's in good condition, too, no visible scratches or stains. I'm guessing the people purchasing this lot are just buying it because mimic is valuable (as far as people can tell mimic is valuable but common, so there are tons of listings for her and she sells for very high prices), but it has some other cool stuff too:

This appears to be a full set of sparkle ponies- all 6 are in there. Star Hopper has a cool UFO and is the priciest of them, and it also looks like she's the mail order version.

There are a lot of ponies with clothes on, which is sweet because I understand that sometimes they got lost, but especially in the case of these two: Lavender Satin n Lace and Lucky the Stallion. Lavender is a wedding themed pony and Lucky is the ringbearer. No sign of her hubby though! sad.

Other fun lots (these next few aren't $$$ lots they're currently at like $20 in bidding):

this one has some so soft ponies, which collectors don't generally like, but i love them and i particularly am a fan of Twilight (top left), plus it has two Bubbles (sitting pose)

this lot has a bunch of random ponies including tossles (left, pink and blue pony) who I love, and one of the Fairy Tails, which is like a spinoff line of MLP. I hope a collector who cares about the Fairy Tails snags that one because it looks to be in really good quality with its original stand. It would look SO cute next to a Mimic.

this one lot has a bunch of random ponies and steamer, one of the Big Brother Ponies, which is awesome <3

This one doesnt have any bids but is an eclectic collection with Bride Pony (very top), Hula Hula (colorful tropical ponies), a couple baby sparkle ponies and some others. They're all in rough shape but it is sweet. In my heart Bride Pony and Hula Hula are a femme/butch couple.

at first I thought this lot had g2 ponies, but no, the skinny ponies are the Sweetheart Sisters pose. Includes Wigwam, the famously problematic Big Brother pony (he has a tepee as his mark)

This lot is just the Petite Ponies, which you may know I love, including some with the nylon hair tails AND some with translucent bodies. I'm always charmed to know someone is going to want these teeny ponies.

This is from a small lot of like 5 ponies and I just thought it was funny how bad her hair is. But then I was looking it up and I'm not sure who this pony is- my best guess is this is Braided Beauty, but the pink in her hair has completely faded out.

This one was recently posted and has few bids at the time I'm looking at it but its got some cute gems: Party Time and Locket are both really pretty twinkle eyed ponies, Bubblefish who has a 3D fishbowl on her side, and a lot of baby sparkle ponies as well as the somewhat creepy "beddy bye eye" ponies who have inset, open-and-close eyes. There's even a Fairy Tail bird in there!

Most of the ponies in the above collection are in ok condition but it looks like someone lit one of the Sweetheart Sisters on FIRE:

And lest you think I only care about the 1980s ponies (which is mostly true), it is kind of fun to look at what else there is, for example:

this batch was mysteriously labeled Equestria girls, but is mostly made up of Fakie My Little Ponies and one on-brand Pinkie Pie. Idr what this line of fakies is called but they're some of the highest quality, cutest (imo) and most common fakies on the market.

I *mostly* dont care for the g4 pony toys but i have a big Twilight Sparkle I found at Goodwill and I'd be happy to have matching Luna and Celestia toys for her. (most of the g4 toys were very small, these are like the bigger versions)

My name is Scarlette Melody. I was born on Earth, and pushed into a statue outside my high school. I woke up as a unicorn in another world! A pony named Princess Celestia found me. I was heading to the market when I found a bunch of ponies crowded together, marvelling at something. I push my way to the center to find Rainbow Dash bouncing a ball on her head.

Fluttershy shrieks, and Rainbow says, "Don't be such a scaredy-pony. It's just me, future Equestria ball-bouncing record holder. Three hundred forty six, three hundred forty seven..."

I ask, "That's a real record here? Though, to be fair, there were some weird world records in my world too, like the largest hula hoop spin."

Pinkie exclaims, "This calls for a celebration!"

Fluttershy says, "Oh, no, Pinkie Pie, this is not time for celebration. This is a time for -"

Pinkie exclaims, "Ooh! I'm going to need balloons! One for every pony in Ponyville!"

Fluttershy says, "There's- there's smoke, and- and where there's smoke, there's fire, and -"

Pinkie starts counting the ponies around us, "Let's see. That's one, two, three four..."

Rainbow counts, "Three hundred fifty four..."

Pinkie continues, "Five, six..."

Rainbow continues, "Three hundred fifty five- No, wait."

The ball bounces off her head, and she loses the record.

Pinkie points at me, counting, "Seven..."

Rainbow exclaims, "Pinkie Pie! Now I have to start over."

Fluttershy says, "We're all going to have to start over in a new village, 'cause ours is gonna be -"

As Rainbow walks away to grab her ball, Pinkie exclaims, "Hey, Rainbow Dash, wait up!"

I ask Fluttershy, "What are you trying to say?"

She responds, "This is an emergency. I- I need everypony to -"

Twilight loudly says, "Listen up! Smoke is spreading over all of Equestria."

Ponies around me exclaim, "What?" "Oh, no!" "That's awful!"

Fluttershy says, "That's what I've been trying to -"

Twilight continues, "But don't worry. I've just received a letter from Princess Celestia informing me that it is not coming from a fire."

Fluttershy sighs, "Oh, thank goodness."

I ask, "Then what is it coming from?"

Twilight responds, "It's coming from a dragon."

Everypony gasps, and Fluttershy exclaims, "A... d- dragon?!"

Applejack asks, "What in the name of all things cinnamon swirled is a full-grown dragon doin' here in Equestria?"

Twilight responds, "Sleeping."

We all ask, "Huh?"

Twilight explains, "According to Princess Celestia, he's taking a nap. His snoring is what's causing all this smoke."

Pinkie says, "He should really see a doctor. That doesn't sound healthy at all."

I say, "Not for us, but it's probably normal for dragons."

Rarity says, "Well, at least he's not snoring fire. What we meant to do about it?"

Rainbow exclaims, "I'll tell you what were meant to do; give him the boot!" She starts flying rapidly around, punching an imaginary being as she adds, "Take that! And that!"

She crashes, and Twilight says, "We need to encourage him to take a nap somewhere else. Princess Celestia has given us this mission, and we must not fail. If we do, Equestria will be covered in smoke for the next one hundred years."

Fluttershy gasps, and I say, "That's one heck of a power nap."

Rarity huffs, "Indeed. Talk about getting your beauty sleep."

Twilight says, "Alright, everypony. I need you to gather supplies quickly. We've got a long journey ahead of us. Let's meet back here in less than an hour."

Rainbow adds, "Okay girls, you heard her. The fate of Equestria is in our hooves. Do you have what it takes?"

We nod, rushing off to our own homes to prepare for our impending adventure. I pack my flute in case we have to stop to take a break and I get bored, and some snacks in case I get hungry.

Once we're all packed up, we all meet in front of the library, and Twilight explains, "Alright girls, listen up. I'm mapping out the fastest route, but we've all got to keep a good pace if we expect to make it up the mountain by nightfall."

Fluttershy stutters, "M- M- mountain?"

I reassure, "It'll be fine, Flutters. Just try to stay calm."

Twilight points at the mountain, saying, "The dragon is in that cave at the very top."

Applejack says, "Looks pretty cold up there."

Rainbow says, "You bet it is. The higher you go, the chillier it gets."

Rarity opens her saddlebag and puts on a scarf, saying, "Good thing I brought my scarf."

Pinkie awes, "Ooh! Pretty!"

Rainbow sarcastically remarks, "Heh, oh yeah. That'll keep you nice and cozy."

I say, "Well, I've got my hoodie and pants. Stylish, comfy, and warm."

I recently got a pair of pants and Rarity helped me embroider the flank area to have my cutie mark on it. I put my pink hair up into a bun as Fluttershy quietly tries to protest, all going unheard by Twilight.

The only part I catch is when Fluttershy says, "Oh! Good. I'll stay here and -"

Twilight interrupts, "Wait! You have to come! Your way with wild animals will surely come in handy."

Fluttershy protests, "I don't think I -"

Twilight adds, "Oh, and don't worry about your little friends in the meadow. Spike's got it covered while you're gone."

Spike says, "You can count on me!"

He's holding a couple of Fluttershy's animals, and they're all squirming around and trying to run away from him.

Fluttershy says, "I don't really think he's up to the task. Maybe... but... but..."

She squeaks and curls up in fear.

Rainbow quietly asks, "Are you sure you want Fluttershy to come along? I mean, that pony's afraid of her own shadow. She's just gonna slow us down."

To prove her point, Fluttershy screams at her own shadow and hides in a bush.

I say, "She's just nervous, Dash. I'm sure she'll calm down once we get moving."

Twilight calls, "Alright, girls. Move out!"

We start walking toward the mountain with a reluctant Fluttershy cowering behind us. She gasps as we hear a loud growling sound.

I ask, "What was that?"

Twilight responds, "This is what it sounds like when a dragon snores."

Fluttershy mutters, "It- it's so... high!"

Rainbow says, "Well, it is a mountain. I'm gonna fly up there and check it out. Wah!"

She makes an exclamation of shock as Applejack yanks her tail back.

Applejack says, "Hold on, now. I think we should all go up together. Safety in numbers and all."

Rainbiw mutters, "Oh, all right."

As we start climbing the mountain, Rarity says, "I hear the only this that sparkles more than a dragon's scales are the jewels they use to build their nests. Ooh, if I play my cards right, Iight be able to convince him to part with a few!"

Pinkie imitates a dragon, making her voice lower and more gruff as she says, "Welcome to my cave, Rarity. Care for a diamond? Roooaaarrr!"

This makes as all laugh, except for Twilight, who exclaims, "Girls! This is no laughing matter! Fluttershy, you're the expert on wild creatures. What do you think the dragon will be like? Fluttershy?"

We spot Fluttershy at the base of the mountain, shaking in fear.

Rainbow rudely asks, "Hey! What are you waiting for, an invitation?"

Pinkie, not sensing the tension, exclaims, "Ooh, I think I have one in my bag!"

A party popper pops in her bag when she reaches into it, making a loud sound.

I ask, "What wrong, Flutters?"

She mutters, "I- It's so... so... steep."

Rainbow grunts, "Well, it is a cliff. You could just, oh I don't know, fly up here?"

Pinkie encourages, "Come on, Fluttershy! Flap those wings!"

I add, "You can do it, Flutters."

Fluttershy softly cries, "Oh... okay."

Fluttershy starts flying a few feet above the ground before the dragon snores again, and her wings snap shut and she falls right on top of me.

Rainbow groans, "Ugh."

Fluttershy gets off of me and helps me stand back up, quietly apologizing multiple times.

Twilight groans, "Ugh, we don't have time for this." Applejack grabs the map out of Twilight's bag, and she asks, "What are you doing?"

Applejack responds, "I'll need this if I'm gonna take her around the mountain another way."

I say, "I'll come with you. Like you said, strength in numbers."

Rainbiw groans, "Around the mountain? That's going to take them forever!"

The dragon snores again, and Fluttershy stiffens up like a goat, falling onto her side.

I say, "Don't worry, guys. We'll meet back up soon."

Around an hour and a half later, we finally meet back up with everyone else, Applejack and I having taken turns dragging Fluttershy behind us because she refused to move at all.

We're both exhausted as Applejack pants, "We. Made. It."

Rainbow mutters, "Told you it was going to take them forever."

We all continue walking up the mountain together for a while until we reach a small gap in the path. We all just hop across, except for Fluttershy, her eyes wide in fear.

I say, "You can do it, Shy. It's just a small gap."

She stammers, "But... it's so... wide."

Twilight groans, "Come on, Fluttershy. We should be much farther along by now."

Applejack says, "You could just leap on over."

Fluttershy was about to say something, but cowered in fear instead when the dragon snores again.

She finally muttered, "I don't know."

I hop back over to Fluttershy, saying, "There's nothing to worry about.

Pinkie adds, "It's just a hop, skip, and a jump. See?" She then sings, "It's not very far, just move your little rump."

I join in singing, "You can make it if you try with a hop, skip and jump."

Twilight groans, "We don't have time for this."

Pinkie and I started hopping back and forth across the gap as we continued singing.

I sing, "A hop, skip and jump."

Pinkie sings, "Just move your little rump."

I sing, "A hop, skip, and jump."

Pinkie sings, "A hop, skip, and jump."

I sing, "A hop, skip, and jump."

Pinkie sings, "A hop, skip, and jump."

We both sing in unison, "A hop, skip, and jump!"

Pinkie and I hop back across the gap by everypony else, and Fluttershy nervously mutters, "O- okay. Here I go. A hop..."

Applejack encourages, "That's it."

Twilight adds, "You've got it."

Rarity adds, "Almost there."

Fluttershy continues, "Skip..."

I encourage, "You're doing great."

Twilight adds, "Just don't look down."

Fluttershy immediately looks down and into the gap, whimpering as she skitters across the small gap, knocking us all over.

Rainbow groans, and Fluttershy nervously smiles, saying, "I guess I forgot to jump."

We continue walking, reaching a narrow path surrounded by snow-covered mountains.

Twilight whispers, "Let's keep it down. According to my map, we're entering an avalanche zone. The smallest peep could cause a huge rock slide."

Fluttershy whimpers, "An... an ava... ava..."

Twilight shushes her, and we continue walking until a leaf lands on Fluttershy's withers.

She shouts, "AVALA -"

I quickly cover her mouth with my hoof before she could finish, and levitate the leaf to show what landed on her. We all let out a collective sigh of relief, and that's when the avalanche starts.

We all cry out, "Avalanche!"

We run as fast as we can, avoiding rock debris. Twilight almost gets crushed by a falling boulder, but Applejack tackles her out of the way. Fluttershy trips on a rock, landing on top of Rarity and I. We all cough out as the debris stops falling, leaving a cloud of dust that quickly dissipates.

Applejack asks, "Everybody okay?"

Twilight responds, "Thanks to you, I am."

I ask, "Um, a little help over here?"

Fluttershy exclaims, "Oh! S- sorry, girls."

She immediately flies into the air off of Rarity and I.

Pinkie exclaims, "Woohoo! Let's do it again!"

I dust myself off as I get up, saying, "Let's not."

We start walking along the path again, the air getting colder and colder.

I pull my hood over my head, and Rarity pulls another scarf out of her saddlebag and wraps it around her neck, saying, "This is why a girl always packs extra accessories." She then starts digging through her bag, muttering, "Oh, please tell me I brought the tiara that goes with this."

Rainbow says, "Uh, I think we've got bigger problems than making sure our hair bows match our horseshoes."

We're stopped in our tracks by a huge pile of rocks caused by the avalanche. Rainbow and Twilight give Fluttershy deadpanned expressions.

Fluttershy sighs, "Sorry."

Applejack comforts, "Aw, no big whoop, Sugarcube."

I add, "It's really not your fault, Flutters. It could've happened to anyone."

Twilight groans, "Yeah, we'll just have to..." She sighs, "Climb over."

We climb up the precarious pile of rocks, and Rarity bumps into Applejack on the way down, saying, "My apologies."

Rainbow glares at Fluttershy again, pointedly saying, "Not your fault." Fluttershy whimpers, and Rainbow sighs, asking Twilight, "Still think it was a good idea to bring Fluttershy along?"

We reach the cave entrance, and Twilight responds, "We're about to find out. We're here. Rainbow Dash, you'll use your wings to clear the smoke."

Rainbow agrees, "Mm-hmm."

Twilight continues, "Rarity, Pinkie Pie, and Scarlette Melody, you'll create a diversion to distract the dragon if things get a little hairy in there."

I pull out and assemble my flute, and Pinkie squeaks one of her squeaky toys. I tune my flute as Pinkie and Rarity get ready for their part of the distraction.

Twilight continues, "Applejack, you're ready with the apples in case he decides to attack. But it shouldnt come to that, because Fluttershy will do what she needs to do to wake him up, and between the two of us, we should be able to get him to understand why he needs to go. Is everypony ready?"

We all make sounds of affirmation.

Twilight continues, "Okay then, we're going in. So, what is the best way to wake up a sleeping dragon without upsetting him? Fluttershy?" We find her cowering behind a huge rock, and Twilight groans, "Oh, come on!"

Twilight tugs on Fluttershy's tail, and she grunts as we start tugging on her and each other to pry Fluttershy away from the rock, "We have to do this! Ugh! Now! Every- Ugh! Second longer that dragon- Ugh! Sleeps is another- Ugh! Acre of Equestria- Ugh! That is covered in- Ugh! Smoke!"

Fluttershy mutters, "I- I- I can't go in the cave."

We all groan and let go, flopping to the floor.

Rainbow groans, "Oh, great. She's scared of caves now, too."

Fluttershy says, "I'm not scared of caves, I'm scared of..."

She mumbles under her breath.

Applejack asks, "What's that, Sugarcube?"

Fluttershy repeats even quieter, "I'm scared of..."

She mumbles again."

I ask, "One more time? And maybe a little louder?"

Fluttershy exclaims, "I'm scared of dragons!"

The dragon snores again, making Fluttershy squeal and hide behind the rock again as we all cough from the dragon's smoke.

I mutter, "No kidding." I cough again before adding, "But Fluttershy, you have a wonderful talent dealing with all kinds of animals."

Fluttershy says, "Yes, because they're not dragons."

Rainbow exclaims, "Oh, come on! We've seen you walk right up to a horrible manticore like it was nothing."

Fluttershy says, "Yes, because he wasn't a dragon."

Pinkie says, "Spike is a dragon. You're not scared of him."

Fluttershy states, "Yes, because he's not a huge, gigantic, terrifying, enormous, teeth-gnashing, sharp-scale-having, horn-wearing, smoke-snoring, could eat a pony in one bite, totally all-grown-up dragon!"

The dragon snores again, making her whimper harder.

Twilight asks, "But if you're so afraid of dragons, why didn't you say something before we came all the way up here?"

I say, "In retrospect, she definitely tried. You guys just wouldn't let her talk."

Rainbow groans, and Applejack says, "All of us are scared of that dragon."

Rainbow defensively exclaims, "I'm not!"

Applejack corrects herself, "Almost all of us are scared of that dragon, but we've got a job to do. So, get in there with Twilight and show her what you're made of."

Fluttershy mutters, "I- I- I just... can't."

I sit down next to a curled up Fluttershy as Twilight enters the cave, saying, "Oh, Fluttershy."

I run circles along her back with my hoof, feeling her shivering die down a bit. Twilight soon runs out of the cave, a wave of smoke billowing out behind her.

We all cough again, and Rainbow mutters, "So much for persuading him."

Applejack asks, "Now what?"

Rarity coughs, "Obviously, this situation just calls for a little 'pony charm'. Allow me, girls."

She then heads in, and is in there for a few minutes before she shrieks, running out with a few new bejeweled accessories.

She mutters, "I was this close to getting that diamond."

Twilight asks, "You mean, 'getting rid of that dragon'?"

Rarity looks confused for a moment before muttering, "Oh, yeah... Sure."

I get up, muttering, "I guess it's my turn."

I grab my flute, taking my hood off as the heat rises significantly inside the cave. The dragon eyes me suspiciously, and I nervously play one of the songs I remember from a video game I played in my world with my mom before she passed. It's the song that made me want to play the flute in the first place.

The dragon looks curious, raising an eyebrow, but he lays back down, huffing as he just listens. I accidentally play an off-key note at the end, and he shoots back to his clawed feet, angrily blowing smoke at me as I run out of the cave.

I mutter, "I guess he's really specific about music."

Pinkie gets dressed up in a giant party box and wears multiple party accessories, and blows a party horn.

Applejack asks, "What in tarnation?"

I add, "What the heck are you wearing, Pink?"

Pinkie blows her party horn again, and Rarity comments, "Darling, you look ridiculous."

Pinkie exclaims, "Exactly! Sharing a laugh is a sure-fire way to get someone on your side!" She walks into the cave, her accessories squeaking with each step as she excitedly greets, "Hi!"

We hear a series of crashing sounds before Pinkie exits, looking disheveled.

She wearily says, "Apparently he doesn't like laughing, heh. Or sharing."

Rainbow shoots into the air, stating, "Alright, that's it. We tried persuasion, charm, music... Whatever it is Pinkie Pie does... It's time to stop wasting time! I'm going in!"

Twilight exclaims, "Rainbow, no!" We hear Rainbow smacking the dragon while yelling, "Get! Out!"

The dragon sneezes before growling, and he roars, smacking Rainbow back. She tumbles into us, knocking us all over before smacking into the rock Fluttershy was cowering behind.

As we all groan in pain, the dragon emerges from the cave and Fluttershy flies to his face, apparently losing her fear as she exclaims, "How dare you. How dare you! Listen here, Mister. Just because you're big doesn't mean you get to be a bully! You may have huge teeth, and sharp scales, and snore smoke, and breathe fire, but you do not! I repeat, do not! Hurt! My! Friends! You got that?" The dragon whimpers, and Fluttershy angrily asks like a disappointed mother, "Well?"

The dragon mutters, "But that rainbow one kicked me."

Rainbow looks embarrassed as Fluttershy says, "And I am very sorry about that, but you're bigger that she is, and you should know better. You should also know better than to take a nap where your snoring can become a health hazard to other creatures."

The dragon stammers, "But I -"

Fluttershy I terrputs him, stating, "Don't you 'but I' me, Mister. Now, what do you have to say for yourself?" When he remains quiet, she asks again, "I said, what do you have to say for yourself?" The dragon suddenly bursts into tears, and Fluttershy comforts him, saying, "There, there. No need to cry. You're not a bad dragon, you just made a bad decision. Now, go pack your things. You just need to find a new place to sleep. That's all."

The dragon quickly packs his treasure hoard into a giant suitcase, flying off.

We all cheer, and I exclaim, "Yeah, that's my friend! That was so cool!"

Twilight adds, "You did it! I knew you could."

I add, "We all did." Rainbow clears her throat, and I reluctantly add, "Including Rainbow, even if she didn't show it. At all."

We begin our trek back down the mountain, making it back to town right as the sun started setting. Twilight, Fluttershy, and I gathered inside the library where Spike was waiting, struggling to contain Fluttershy's animal friends while the others waited outside.

He pants, "I said, come back here! Oh, how does Fluttershy put up with you furry little things?"

Twilight says, "Spike, take a letter."

Spike sighs, a weary smile on his face as he responds, "With pleasure."

Twilight says, "Dear Princess Celestia, I am happy to report that the dragon has departed our fair country, and that it was a good friend Fluttershy who convinced him to go. This adventure has taught me to never lose faith in your friends. They can be an amazing source of strength, and an help you overcome even your greatest fears. Always your faithful student, Twilight Sparkle."

Applejack exclaims from outside, "Twilight! You gotta come see this! She's just five away from a new pony record!"

Rainbow absentmindedly counts while bouncing the ball on her head, "Three hundred forty-seven, three hundred forty-eight..." Pinkie roars at her, making her exclaim, "Dragon!"

Her legs lock up like Fluttershy did earlier, and she flops to the ground, her ball rolling away.

We all laugh, and Rainbow pants, "Why are you laughing? That awful dragon is back!"

I say through giggles, "No, it was Pinkie! She got you good!"

Rainbow angrily exclaims, "Pinkie Pie, you scared me! I mean, uh, you... broke my concentration."

Fluttershy giggles, saying, "It's okay, Rainbow Dash. Not everypony can be as brave as me."

A leaf falls on her back, and she screams, stiffening up and falling over as we all laugh again.

Hot Fam Summer: 10 Summer Activities to do with your Chosen Family

Ever since I was collecting beanie babies I was obsessed with having thee best group of friends around. I was a extroverted and very social little gaybie. Also coming from a strict religious household, I was never really allowed to be alone with my friends or hang out with them without my parents or an adult. Whenever and wherever my friends and I could get some "just us" time, we took advantage. I have such vivid memories of making music videos, creating raps, taking pictures at the ice cream shop, writing stories, and creating fake parties and scenarios alllllll day with my friends at school, in basements, both under tight supervision and in our alone time.

Chosen family has always been my choice of family dynamic tbh. Little Tay knew. No one should feel "stuck" with anyone. Friends are the family we choose. They then become the ones who really work to make the difference in your life! Especially for folks like me with complicated relationships to biological family. It's important to develop all of your relationships especially your non romantic ones. Friends are the ones I call when I am in trouble or when I just need a listening ear. The ones who I feel like I can have the most fun with and who I take "family vacations" with.

1) Pride

Now this is FIRST on my list because I loved going to Pride when I was straight - deadass! It's always somewhere in the Summer and has a very inclusive line up of events. (Depending on where you live events are different.) No matter your friends all are welcome at Pride Festivals and often have a variety of adult, child, or family centered events for you and your chosen family to choose from. The beautiful part of Pride is anyone can live their fantasy! Love yourself in the skin you're in! Wear something that makes you feel beautiful, fully realized - think of yourself at 100%, what would you look like? Celebrate your identities and what makes your friendship so unique, so loving, so real.

2) Themed Movie Night

I love a theme. Tik Tok, Instagram, and Pinterest really work as great search engines for examples, ideas, and instructions on themed movie nights as well as parties. One trend I have been seeing more is a group of friends each dressing as a liquor brand and matching their outfit to the aesthetic of the liquor bottle. Ideas like this allow each friend to bring their uniqueness to their outfit, tailor drink choices according to their likes, and make everyone feel equal parts unique and part of a group. In terms of finances everyone can agree on a price to spend on drinks, activities, and outfits so it is a cheaper way to come together and have a good time. Instead of theming outfits around drinks pick your favorite movies or shows and center that in your gathering. If you want to take things outside of the house my friends and I LOVED heading to the $1 movies and sneaking in snacks. Pack a sandwich, some cookies, and a Ziploc of popcorn - it's time to binge.

3) Porch/Living Room Party

Got a porch or a living room? Well you HAVE a party! Focusing the party on one room in your home de escalates the amount of money and supplies needed to have a full on house party. I had a stoop Summer get together with a bunch of friends as a way to meet while cases were on the rise. We were able to mask, chill, watch TV on my stoop and eat food! It was super cute and really open with some people walking up and down the street, taking photos in the street, and even playing with the neighborhood kids in the street. Offer a variety of activities that can be done like cards, board games, bubbles, hula hoops! It's fun! If you have pets that is always a plus!

4) Road Trip

Ok. Pick somewhere reasonable. I always go for someplace within 3 hours of where we all live. Once you all have finally settled on a destination go ahead and pllllaaaannn. The planning for a road trip (to me) is the most fun part. Everyone looking up places to go, cities, landmarks, museums, and weird quirks to check out. Make sure you pick places and stops on the way that relate to the needs of your chosen fam. You don't want to be on a trip where everyone's overlooks your views and ideas so - keep it cute. Pack up everyone's favorite snacks; make a collaborative playlist; and have LOTS of podcasts, movies, and juicy conversation to keep everyone awake. In the past my friends and I have gone to a beach, random Amish country, Vegas, and lots of trips to concerts right outside our state.

5) Self Care Days/Afternoons

This idea is one that I institute with the gwurls at minimum once a month. Plan a day where everyone can come over and bring over their favorite pampering products and just have a relaxing ass day. It's giving face masks, seltzer water, nail polish, hair maintenance, and even dying hair! If you're that close and have experience add some pimple pops and waxing to the list. Talk about intimacy.

6) Weekday Check In Mixer

It's like Happy Hour - at the damn house. The purpose is not to network or generate anything but mores allow time to vent about their week and just blowing off steam! Have the fam pick up takeout or fast food on the way in and eat dinner together. Talk about how the week has gone so far, where you hope it can go, ask questions, and just laugh! If time allows play a card or a board game. I love a check in get together so I can get all the good gossip, tea, and updates during the week.

Go halfsies (or sixies) on a local rental home or hotel. Pick a fun nighttime and daytime activity that everyone can participate in. Everyone can split the costs for food to be delivered or groceries to cook up a feast. Additional points to the chosen families that match or coordinate outfits and pajamas.

9) House Party

Celebrate something babe. Someone's promotion, a personal goal you know your friend met, or y'alls own holiday. Create a playlist or if you have the pull get a DJ (y'all deserve it)! Party hard. Dance all night! Let loose!

10) Group Class

GROUPON GAYS STAND UP! Sit back on the couch and look up classes offered for groups in your area on Yelp, GroupOn, and Instagram! Make sure to keep it affordable and accessible and fun! Some ideas would be yoga, cooking, crafting, and art workshops. For example, ask everyone in your group what "blowing off steam" means for them and survey the answers.

Family Dollar: Time to BOGO Down!

My Thanksgiving tradition is going to the BOGO-ish sales at Family Dollar and Dollar Tree, to round up the clones. Back a decade ago, when Monster High clones were everywhere, this was a bonanza! Today, the toy aisle is smaller and hardly any hot non-Barbie brands gets clones... but I hied myself to the best Family Dollar in the area anyway.

Things I did not buy

The My Little Phony market has expanded into dinosaurs. I feel like there's a missed opportunity here for a stop-motion My Little Pony-Jurassic Park crossover, but it's not my project to do.

Since Toymazing is Family Dollar's house brand, I looked at Alibaba to see if I could find the original version. Alibaba is awash in colorful, cutified dinosaurs, so there's some kind of trend I have missed.

There was a small quantity of Rainbow High dolls that weren't the discount version, marked $25 each. If you can find two you like at the same store during the Thanksgiving BOGO sale, that's $12.50 a doll, which is a very good price for the clothing and a body donor.

Things I intended to buy and bought

There were fashion packs I haven't seen! Who these fit varies from year to year and minute to minute, but at this point I have so many 1980s-2000s bodies that it's good to have choices. The top pack is for the flat shoes! The bottom one is for the net top, though I think Hula Hair Teresa may nab that scale-patterned dress in bottom middle.

While the clothing quality is eh, 10 outfits and 10 pairs of shoes for $5 is better than Dollar Tree prices. It all reminds me that I need to finish organizing my doll clothes: I moved specialized sizes to their own plastic drawers last winter and then ran out of steam.

Zuru surprise balls were up by the cashier line. I picked two different concepts because I don't trust Family Dollar not to have pallets of entirely the same balls. I'm saving these for later in the weekend because right now, I'm still kind of revving my engine.

Things I did not intend to buy, but bought anyway

When I did not see the Zuru surprise balls in either of the two toy aisles, I distracted myself from my disappointment by looking at other surprise packs.

On the one hand, I do not want to spend a fortune chasing surprises. On the other hand, there is a certain delight in surprise boxes that I don't want to eschew entirely.

Here is the yin and yang of it. I've been feeling nostalgia for the Mini-Dragons Thingmaker of my childhood, but not on the level that calls for buying a vintage one and all the goop. So here in front of me is a dinosaur egg that calls on me to do... something. And it costs a lot less than it would at Target. Yeehaw.

The little LOL Surprise! Finders Keepers box just kind of... spoke to me. I do not collect LOL Surprise! because at heart I am a "dress me" doll person rather than a "design concept" doll person. (I can look at pictures of your collection all day long, with great happiness. It's just not my collection.) But I'm about to populate my birdhouse village with the Mini MixieQs I used to buy at Fry's Food to motivate myself to grocery shop, back in the mid-2010s, so super-little dolls have been on my mind.

It turns out Finders Keepers are nothing like Mini MixieQs, and they're also a little too big for the World's Smallest Barbie Dreamhouse. However, one of my Kid Kore Katies finds that the LOL Surprise! concept goes brilliantly with her own skater aesthetic. I may have to get VRQT a friend so that the Katies and the Carlas can play with them.

A G1 Hula Hula doodle I made a few days ago.

I think I’m forgetting how to draw humans. But I can’t stop drawing ponies. Oh well.

It’s My Little Monday! With...Tropical Pony Hula Hula! She’s super bold, very bright, and a real splash of tropical colored fun. The unicorn of the Tropical pony set, they used the boldest unicorn pose they could for her and really capitalized on her colors with orange red and green on a magenta body. Her symbol doesn’t have anything to do with the hula dance she’s named after (too bad?) as it is a striped sail boat in hot green and orange, with some abstract birds. Look at her awesomely 80s eye makeup too, you’d think it’d be just the worst with her body color vs eye color but...somehow it isn’t. She just looks 80s and fun. This is another great one to own, as she’ll stand out in any crowd with such outrageous colors. She’s not too difficult to get, either, as for whatever reason little kids didn’t seem to abuse the Tropicals, nor did they commonly suffer plastic ailments. Her story is that the 4 ponies found the brightest colored island of all, and the colors there turned out to be magical--so when they played and ate lunch on the island Tropical Dew fell on them, changing their colors to super bright, as you see here. (Oddly, boats are a sort of common symbol for ponies with Main Sail, Hula, Clipper, & Salty Brother, at the least all having a boat for their symbol) With the way her hair lays naturally, the pose, eye make up and expression, she seems to be full of personality as well.

1/7/20: Pony Acquisition Post #401: G1 Lot!

Year Released: 1988, 1989, 1990

A Facebook seller had some new G1s for my collection!

First up is Hula Hula, from 1989′s Tropical Ponies collection, who has amazingly bright colors and really cool two-toned eye shadow! I love her colors going on- orange, green, and red hair??? Count me in!

Next is Baby Brother Sweet Celebrations, who I got for free in the lot. He has a haircut and some rubbed blush, but I really like his colors and the Baby Clipper Mold is so so so cute! I totally need more ponies in this mold.

Lastly, we have Baby Brightbow, from 1990′s Rainbow Baby set. I used to have this complete set, and it was one of my first completed sets as a collector, but I sold them off for some reason. What was wrong with me, getting rid of RAINBOW BABIES?? Well, it’s time to get them back, and so here comes Baby Brightbow as the first one back out of four.

I gave them all nice baths and lovely curls and now they’re ready for some cuddles and then to find their places on the pony shelves!
