mej nasasad ako pag binibiro ng friends na gaganda ng kuha nila saken tas ako ang ewan ng kuha sa kanila. hahaha.
context nito is about sa video na nag close up pa daw ako ng kuha pero ending out of focus pa din sya at yung dapat nakuhanan. :((
kasi ganto, nung bata ako sanay ako may film at video cam kami, nasa abroad din kasi parents ko so need nila maging updated sa life ko; mejo mahilig talaga ako sa camera. happy place ko ang kodak, tas another kind of happiness kapag lumabas na yung pinadevelop, feeling ko ang bango ng photo paper. yung film iniisa isa ko din tignan kahit napadevelop na, i enjoy looking sa silhouette.
nung nag for good na parents ko dito, uso na non digicam kaso di priority bumili. from that time (grade 4) wala na kaming camera. pag may ganap sa school wala akong photo remembrance except for prom at graduation- na nanghiram kami film cam sa tita ko. may digicam sila kaso nakakahiya hiramin. konti lang photos ko sa both events kasi dat tipidin film tska tbh nakaka hiya non na naka film cam pa din ako. HAHAHA.
dala ko yon hanggang naassign ako for work sa Palawan at Mindanao. nasira nalang ngan sa Cotabato nung nag R&R kami sa Asik asik falls; nakabili naman ako ng kapalit after ilang mos- same price range nga lang din. if only i knew then that things would happen in my life at matatagalan bago ako makabili, dslr na kinuha ko atleast nakasecure na ng mas magandang camera. uhg thoughts.
tas dumating na yung time na nagkulong na ako. hahaha. wala akong maski fone for 2 years. had an itouch naman ng 2015-2017 pero siguro dahil nga di ako sanay sa "outside world", even i get a chance to take photos nacoconscious ako. para nga akong nagkaka anxiety when people asks me to take photos of them witj a good view, until now dahil kelan lang naman ako lumabas ulit at di padin maganda cam fone ko.
napapa "hehe" nalang ako sa utak ko at laf reax sa biruan sa gc kahapon. naawa nanaman ako sa sarili ko; kahit hindi na about sa time na wala talaga akong pambili (HS-colege) but more on doon sa latter years na pagkawala ko/pagkawala ng lahat. yung mga ganito pinaparamdam sa akin yung hirap na bumalik, yung pagod sa pag bounce back. tang ina simple biruan lang sana pero lalim nanaman ng hugot dahil sa mga naalala ko; sino di mapapagod.
still, here's to another someday soon- na makakabili din ako ng magandang camera/s, kung ano ano mang klase ang gustuhin ko.

Sabi ko pala magkkwento ako. So here it goes..
I’m feeling better naman na. Nasa stage na ng acceptance haha at moving on. Not giving meaning to anything na but still feeling giddy over the smallest interaction.
Last night we met for dinner. Nakatalikod ako sa entrance ng restaurant so hindi ko kita kung parating na sya. Nalaman ko lang na nandyan na nung sumesenyas na yung dalawang kasama ko (na alam na I had feelings for pas) pero di ako tumingin. Naramdaman ko na lang na may bumeso sakin and I touched her face haha to beso back.
She looked stunning as always. Pink looks good on her. We’re seated across each other so kitang kita ko siya. Good talk sa restaurant. After nun, we went to 12 monkeys for Janine’s gig.
Nung nasa backstage kami, pinakita niya sakin yung tiktok video niya about holding it together kasi ayaw nyang may sumilip sa rectangle at sabihing “sana matagal ko nang sinabi sayong mahal kita”. I’ve watched that video. I watch all of her videos. But I pretended I didn’t. Hindi ko alam irereact ko haha so I just said mapapabangon talaga ako niyan at sasabihing it’s a prank!
Very random. So fucking cute!
Wala lang, sumasayaw lang kami in place. Ang boring ng crowd pero we enjoyed the set. Binubulong niya na sobrang dull ng crowd tapos nagccheer siya kay Janine. Dinamayan ko siya haha I also cheered and shouted and danced.
Nung bandang bridge na ng Hulaan hugot na hugot siya napaka-cute! Sabi ko “pas grabeng hugot yan ah!” The line goes “puro ka amba nakakalunod kang ibigin” I was thinking hayyy para kanino kaya yung hugot niya. Lucky guy!
After the gig we went to UCC for coffee and chill. Kwentuhan about lots of things!! When we get there she explained to me the meaning of 1st wave, 2nd wave, and 3rd wave ng coffee. Smart woman! Then we also talked about TFIOS, John Green, at ang pinakabinabaran namin na topic ay mga sci-fi series. I can feel the excitement in her and her love for marvel and sherlock. Her eyes and voice glow.
Sadly, magsasara na yung UCC and she also has to go kasi may gown fitting pa siya for her parents vow renewal.
It was a great night. I learned something new again.
Looking forward to more nights like this.

The First Music Video I Directed. When I was still in college and was so engrossed with looking for great music to feed my soul; I was slowly appreciating video production and how they made music videos. Being an art student opened my eyes to the process of making such art. From preproduction to post production. It’s not easy at all. The concept for the music video had to somehow match with the message OR make you feel somehow.
I wanted to make those kind of stuff but the kind of work I got in the past few years were weddings, behind the scenes, corporate work and a few events. It was not until I got a stable job that I thought maybe I can pursue making a video on a few bands although it’s going to be difficult to find one to let me shoot a music video for them. Nowadays, there are plenty of people who are well equipped and more experienced than me so I sort of gave up on that idea and thought maybe I could do a band profile video instead. I thought to myself, “It’s easy! All I have to do is shoot, compile, interview and edit!” but I was wrong.
The First Move
I reached out to my favorite band, Tonight We Sleep, and asked if I could help promote them with their upcoming EP. It was a long shot. I didn’t have anything to show except for my demo reel and the promise that I can make a video out of the “shoots”. I had no concrete plan on how it was going to look like. It will depend entirely on what I have. Then I got a reply! I think my offer wasn’t accepted immediately. I gave pegs first on what I wanted to achieve and eventually after a series of exchange, they allowed me to come and check out their recording. It was surreal. I felt so small. Haha ‘cause they were those adults you see in movies. I wasn’t sure if I could really keep up with the language, the knowledge and everything.
I don’t remember the number of shooting days but there were plenty. I also went to their gigs and I was really thankful they put me and Ferlyn in the guest list. Surreal. I never thought I’d get that kind of pass. I had plenty of struggles trying to finish the band profile video and yeah it was difficult but worth it. They were really happy with the final product and for me, I thought it was the end. I was OK with it because, I already did something I wanted with the band I wanted to create art with.
The Gears in Motion
But after a few weeks I got a message that Argee and I would discuss the preproduction of his solo project I Belong to the Zoo. He said we’d make a music video for a new song he was going to release around May/April. I was excited and at the same time nervous because it felt like a big responsibility that I wasn’t ready for.
We discussed the concept around May and polished it after a few days. Then we looked for talents. I pitched a few but Argee found a pair he really thought would fit in the video. After that, we discussed with the talents what they should wear and also the locations of the shoot. It was a run-and-gun type of shoot by the way. No permits. Hahaha I’m not proud of it though but we had to work with what we had. Before the day of the shoot, I had to go to my former bosses’ house to rent a Zhiyun Crane 2. It was already 11PM and when I got back to my apartment, it was already 12MN. I had to learn to balance the gimbal for the first time. LOL
The Actual Shooting Day!
Ferlyn and I went to the first location early so that I could practice using the gimbal. Hahaha I know right. So, it was only when Steffi (Lead Girl) arrived that I started to get nervous because I wasn’t sure how to talk to her and since I feel a little tired from last night’s errand. Argee arrived a few minutes later. Before 11 AM everyone was there and we already started with the shoot. One of the memorable things that happened was when we discussed how the actors would act in certain scenes, the continuity and the blocking. When the first scene was done we moved on to find a decent street to shoot the scene where Steffi opens the gift. It was a bit difficult to shoot that one because of the inconsistent sunlight but we managed.
We then moved on to the scene where they had to go bowling. We almost weren’t able to shoot the bowling scene because they thought we had a big setup and had to call the manager in. Good thing Argee knew how to talk to them and make them feel at ease. He said “Trip lang namin na magtropa etc” something of that context. We were assigned the last lane because all lanes were occupied. The employees said to not include other guests playing in the video but I guess it’s ok if they are blurred. :D
The next thing was Satchmi. The coffee shop was kind to let us film without any permits and all. We just asked through their Facebook page and said just go shoot. When we arrived it was so cool there and we just acted casual while we were shooting. Parang magbarkada lang na may taga picture. So far it was the most difficult for me because I think my lack of sleep was kicking in. Ferlyn stepped in to help me direct and shoot. While she shot the scenes I had my shot of coffee and that made me even more talkative which helped us push through with the remaining scenes.
The most challenging scene for me was the one at B-Hotel, we had only limited sources of light and we had to work fast to get all the shots within the day. The rest of the remaining shots after the “room scene” was Steffi walking around at night and Steffi and Carl in the backseat. After that we were done.
It was around 1AM when we finished and everyone went home with a smile on their face. It was the most memorable shoot this 2018. I remember everyone laughing every hour and having fun discussions about the shoot and other related stuff. It was the best. Simply the best first MV experience.

APH!Philippines Headcanons
Note: this is my take of Aph!Philippines as a Filipino Hetalia fan, so please keep an open-mind about other interpretations, please. Also, feel free to have your own headcanon for him. BTW, stay safe.
Despite history, he actually has a healthy and friendly relationships with Spain, America, and Japan.
He used to have a crush on America but basically moved on after either the Vietnam War or EDSA revolution. Either way, he now sees him as a brother. Also, he is the same age as America.
Not many know this but he and UK met during Spanish era and are pretty good friends up onto this day.
For his best friends, America, South Korea, Indonesia, Vietnam, and Thailand are on the top list. On the "I don't like you" list, China takes the lead for a number of reasons.
Much to America's annoyance, he likes Jollibee more than Mcdonald's. Heck, he'd wear that bee costume for America's Halloween party to annoy him.
He likes to draw and is is a skilled artist, but usually he ends up being lazy and would just finish it whenever he feels like it.
He has his own time when attending meetings and will tell everyone they are just earlier than him, much to Germany's annoyance.
Out of all the Hetalia characters out there, he has the most followers on Twitter, Instagram, Tik Tok, Tumblr, and Snapchat. Also, he has that most friends on Facebook. So, yeah. EAT THAT FRANCE!
Aside from Youtube, he own a Twitch account and is a huge gamer. League of Legends, Counter Strike, Warcraft, Mobile Legends, SIMS, Assassin's Creed, Just Dance, Genshin Impact, and Among Us are a must have on his video game library.
He his very close to his ASEAN siblings and loves to keep in touch with them by texting.
He texts way too much to the point where his phone bill blows up on to his face. Hey, they don't call us the Text Capital of the World for nothing.
Speaking of bills, his Netflix, Spotify, and Amazon Prime subscription is in need of a renewal.
Aside from arts, he has an large amount of skills to be proud of, like singing, information technology, medicine, photography, architecture, boxing, martial arts... You know, all that cool jazz.
Aside from being a phone addict, he's also a basketball addict. Basketball players here is what NFL players is to America, they are literally in the spotlight and are celebrities.
Despite the Catholicism in his place, he is opening up to explore his pre-hispanic culture and mythology.
He's a meme-lord and Hugot king, beware of him. That means you Czech Republic and Slovakia.
He tries his best to keep Italy and Romano away from Adobo Pizza and Filipino-Style Spaghetti
As for Pinoy Pride, it's exist and it runs deep into his bones. Mention any beauty pageant, he'll ramble on and on about it for two hours.
When getting his online deliveries, he likes to do it style because just standing there with your item is very boring.
He's a sunshine boy and only likes good vibes, so he really doesn't vibe with his current administration right now.
More to add soon, probably...

A Dose of Spoken Word
Tumblr media
** Zuela at DLSU-D
Many people would say that art is not for everyone. I have to disagree. For me, we’re all born artists and art is for all of us. The thing is, others embrace their gift and the rest walk away from it. Regardless of what we choose, we all have our own reasons and we get our fair share of consequences for choosing a path.
I’ve walked away from art more than I could count. I’ve drawn, painted, did clothes, acted, danced, sang, and more. In my case, there were just way too many forms to explore, but nothing to specialize on- something I’ve carried until college and up to now. I still feel that title as a Com Arts graduate- jack of all trades; master of none. But I’ve always thought that writing is my muse, you know? No matter how much I think I suck at it and how many times I try to quit, the words though vague and blurry always find their way to me.
One of the most profound things I’ve learned in college is this aphorism that Mrs. Isolde Valera once told us: one cannot not communicate. There is always this need to express, and words are the closest I can grasp on to convey whatever it is that I want to say. The same goes for many people, especially for those who base their work from words- authors, script writers, poets, researchers, playwrights, etc. Spoken Word artists are a little bit different- mainly because they’re not just literary artists, but also performing artists. And both forms demand intellectual, physical and emotional investment.
Tumblr media
** Slac at Intramuros Rising...
With a few of my friends, we were able to interview Slac Cayamada back in 2014 to discuss Spoken Word in the Philippines and Sev’s Café. We visited Sev’s a few weeks after I covered Intramuros Rising where I first saw Slac and the rest of Words Anonymous perform. There were only about 11 of them and at that time, their newest member was Juan Miguel Severo.  Slac said Gege performed “Mga Basang Unan” and “Naniniwala Ako” at Sev’s Café- a café in a basement that always holds an Open Mic. It’s an event where its patrons can perform onstage. It doesn’t have to be Spoken Word, really. Many have danced, sang, rapped, and acted, but most people really do Spoken Word. They’ve invited him to be a part of Words Anonymous and I’m honestly glad that he joined. Because if he hadn’t, I wouldn’t have seen him perform “Ito Na Ang Huling Tulang Isusulat Ko Para Sa’yo“ at Intramuros Rising which have become one of my favorite pieces. From Gege’s regular performances at Sev’s and his stage exposures at huge events, his career has sky rocketed whilst spreading the art of Spoken Word itself.

SPOKEN WORD AND PAGE POETRY
For many, the difference between traditional poetry and Spoken Word is simply the act of performing the piece. However, it’s not just the performance that separates Spoken Word from page poetry. You may be familiar with poetry reading or powesiya- it’s the performance side of page poetry. However, in Spoken Word, you don’t simply read the piece; you perform it like doing a theatrical monologue. Most artists memorize their pieces so they can freely move while performing and not having to be bothered by holding something like a script. Though for some, they find it easier to perform with a guide or a copy of their piece. Slac also mentioned that in page poetry, you are limited to certain parameters and distinct rules. In Spoken Word poetry, measurement isn’t a thing. Words don’t even have to rhyme. Artists can choose however they like to write their pieces. It is still a Spoken Word even if you wrote your piece as a prose, essay or free-verse poetry.
Another distinct character of Spoken Word Slac mentioned, Is that the pieces are usually about those who write them. There are many page poetry pieces that are detached from the writer, but in Spoken Word, the piece will always be a part of the writer, not just from the writer. There are honestly lesser creative restrictions in Spoken Word compared to say, theatrical monologue and page poetry. In Spoken Word, you write your own piece, you direct your own performance and you perform your piece yourself. It’s a one-man production that is ever evolving. It is a very progressive form of art that is used and executed in more ways than one.
Tumblr media
** Juan Miguel Severo at DLSU-D...
SPOKEN WORD IN FILIPINO SETTING
“Some people would say that there’s no money in art. That’s not true. Everything is art. And we pay for everything,” Slac said. He was a call center agent and he had to quit painting to focus on his job even to a point where he got burnt out. “I felt dumb. I felt like a prisoner of my job… You guys are gonna graduate and you’re gonna feel this when you don’t do art,” he further said. Slac continued to tell us to find a balance in our lives. We can still do our 9-5 jobs without having to quit what we love to do. It may not become a career for most of us, but at least, we do something that makes us happy. “When you do something outside of your work- you write, express your thoughts, you actually sharpen your mind, “ Slac added. And if we hope to really pursue art, we can treat it as a hobby at first then slowly transition to doing it full-time.
Spoken Word artists express not just their personal experiences, but their views of the society and their opinions on pressing issues affecting them and the ones they care about. Words Anonymous isn’t just a bunch of Spoken Word artists that capitalizes on the novelty of the art form. They challenge the way we see art and artists as a whole. Spoken Word has become an avenue to push movements forward and spread awareness. In the recent Pride Parade, someone performed a Spoken Word. In Intramuros Rising 2, Michelle Manese performed an open letter to catcallers. In Word’s Anonymous’ book called Tuwing Ikatlong Sabado, they talked about their support for women’s fight against patriarchy. Louise Meets has performed pieces about LGBTQIA+ love. Juan Miguel Severo performed a piece about the empowerment of having ownership to our own bodies. Enthusiasts like them are still undermined by many Filipinos. No matter how enigmatic their pieces may be, for some they are sadly still reduced to just hugot kings and queens. We’ve constructed this idea of success and pursuing one through art is often seen with disapproval.

** Trevor William Viloria, Michelle Manese, Louise Meets at Intramuros Rising 2: A December To Remember...
THE SPOKEN WORD EFFECT
Regardless of what it may look like to others, Slac said that he still sees a bright future for Spoken Word and its artists. It affects many people in ways that are just moving. For Slac, Spoken Word is like a therapy.  He has met a lot of introverts through this form who were motivated to pursue their craft. “They see confidence, but we’re rarely confident. We’re like scared as hell on stage. But when they see that [spoken word performance], they get inspired to write something that they can perform in front of a lot of people,” Slac added. Many have been inspired to be vocal about themselves and being able to finally let loose, speak up or express, sounds like healing and empowerment to me.
Slac also mentioned that our youth today don’t read and write anymore. People, he said, have been engrossed in television and film. Though he thinks that they are good art as well, he feels like we should have something for ourselves. “We rely on other people’s art. Why not participate?” Slac further said. Words Anonymous have been doing workshops and do events to push this advocacy, especially to kids.

** Jeziel and I performing “Tanong Na ‘Di Ko Masagot at Sev’s Open Mic...
ART AS A WHOLE
When asked what he could advise those who want to pursue Spoken Word, Slac simply said, “just do it, and do it from the heart.”
Many people would say that art is not for everyone. I have to disagree. For me, we’re all born artists and art is for all of us. We create and we consume art, even if we try to hide it. Success in the industry of art, though, isn’t guaranteed. However, that’s not the point of art, right? And don’t ask me. You already know what the point is.

A DIFFERENT KIND OF 'KILIG' IN JOMALIG
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
[Exploring Jomalig Island on a DIY Adventure]
There seems to be a special kind of fulfillment in getting a chance to set foot in a hidden paradise long before the rest of the world gets to see its wonders — something that definitely makes roughly 12 hours of travel time worth the physical fatigue.
Home to unspoiled beaches, amazing rock formations and truly beautiful people, Jomalig — an island municipality in Quezon province which gained popularity after a KMJS feature — welcomes its visitors with a kind of love that weary souls [and hearts, too] will truly appreciate.
Day 0 × Sunday
Our group's original plan was to take the Manila-Real route through an Infanta-bound bus or van at Raymond Transport in Sta. Teresita cor Legarda, Sampaloc, Manila. Due to shortage of Manila-bound buses in Lipa City because of the Holy Week, however, we decided to hire a Lucena-bound van priced at Php1500. We departed at around 8PM and arrived in Lucena City Grand Terminal at 10PM.
From Lucena, we rode an Infanta-bound van which will drop us off at Ungos Port in Real, Quezon. We were on the road for at least four hours and the bumpy slash zig-zag way gave us all some sort of a headache. Fare is at Php250.
Day 1 × Monday
We alighted at Ungos Port at around 2AM and paid for the terminal fee [Php10 per person]. Luckily, we were way early for the first trip to Jomalig [which means that there are still plenty of vacant seats] which usually departs at 5AM. Ticket is priced at Php400 each. It includes a simple meal which the crews prepare and freshly serve during the trip.
The boat ride is physically tiring as it usually lasts for four to six hours depending on the boat's speed. Those who aren't really comfortable traveling on water should take Bonamine as it can really get bumpy. Waves, you know?
Finally, we alighted at Jomalig Port at 25 minutes past 10 o'clock, paid for the environmental and tourism fees priced at Php170, and headed directly to South Pacific Island Resort [SPIR], our home away from home for three days, through a habal-habal.
Habal-habal is the main mode of transportation in the island. Every habal-habal ride will give you the 'mapapakapit ka kay kuya' feels — the kind that will make you feel like your soul is trying to leave your body and there's nothing that you can do about it. Hehe.
Please note that it's essential to make the necessary arrangements with the resort of your choice before leaving for the island adventure. It's also important to note that supply of electricity is only available from 1PM to 5AM daily.
I chose SPIR after getting several recommendations from a few Jomalig travel blogs I read some weeks before our planned escapade. Jomaligins, a term used to call the locals of the island, also say that SPIR is among the top picks when it comes to homestays. Tejada's Resort, meanwhile, comes as a good second pick.
SPIR is also a top choice because it's situated along the coast of Salibungot Beach, right in front of a vast and amazing sandbar.
We did not bring any food — yeah, not a single pack of biscuit — as the travel blogs I've read made mention of how we can count on Nanay Lota for food. She's actually the cook featured in the Jomalig episode of KMJS. During our stay, she would repeatedly recall bloopers and joke about her experiences while being interviewed for the magazine show.
"Naglapel-lapel pa ako, tapos hindi naman pala ako maririnig sa TV. Nakakangawit kaya maghawak 'nung isda at lobster doon," Nanay Lota would always recall whenever she would be identified by tourists as the cook featured in an episode of the show.
Nanay Lota will cook any dish you want as long as main ingredients for your requests are available, and just charge each person Php100 each for a truly delightful and almost unlimited serving.
You may find her and her amazing family at SPIR. Just look for the kainan tagged as "Byahe ni Lota."
After lunch, we decided to take some rest in our assigned kubo overlooking Salibungot sandbar. We paid Php750 per night for a native hut which can accommodate 5-6 people. We all fell asleep and it was past 4 o'clock when we decided to head to the beach, experienced the crystal clear waters of Salibungot and played a set of 3 on 3 Beach Volleyball to determine who will lose and pay for our first dinner. Luckily, my team won the set. Thanks to my excellent sets and pancake saves. Haha!
We slept at around 9PM to prepare for the island tour which will start at 4:30AM. The guides told us we'll have to leave as early as that if we want to make the best out of the experience.
Day 2 × Tuesday
The habal-habal adventure with Kuya Bibi [my assigned driver and guide] began at almost 5AM. We had to start early so we could catch the beautiful sunrise 'diumano' of Jomalig. The trip to the first destination was quite long that the sun started to pop while we were on our way. It was indeed beautiful. You may check photos and video clips in the album.
First stop was at Jomalig Rock Formations situated at the far end of the island municipality. The place was so quiet, so calm that it will give you some sort of Batanes feels you may have seen in travel videos online. We needed to rent a boat that will take us to the hill which would allow us to trek and see how picture-perfect the island really is. Boat ride is priced at Php600 [for a group of six] on top of an entrance fee worth Php50 per head.
Next destinations were Pamana Beach Resort and Lingayen Cove which locals call as Little Boracay and Little Batanes, respectively. These were two amazing and unspoiled beaches that will force you to have hearty eyes all along. Little Batanes will make you feel wanted so bad — by the waves. The waves were like hugging you and shouting "Akin ka na lang." Awwwww. Entrance fees are worth Php30 and Php50, respectively.
From Little Batanes, we headed to Puno ng Walang Forever. This hugot tree (Dapdap, if I heard it right) gained popularity as 'tis situated alone in the middle of the plains. Tour guides will help you climb up the tree through a wooden ladder. A container for entrance fees [usually Php5 per head] is placed not far from the place. Locals and tourists have associated the tree to 'naiwan feels' of people who visit the place. Titos and Titas can well relate to this.
From the hugot tree, we headed to Sadong Golden Sand Beach for another beach experience. Entrance fee is priced at Php20 per person. This one also features an IG-worthy golden sandbar and a truly breath-taking view.
I think Jomaligins also know what it means to save the best for last. Last stop was at the 'We ❤️ Jomalig' marker in Salibungot Golden Sand Beach. It looks surreal, like a photo with an automatic filter. It was literally jaw-dropping and even if we don't really have plans of swimming because it's nearly 12 high noon, we just couldn't resist the temptation.
We left the place just in time for a boodle fight-inspired lunch which Nanay Lota promised to prepare for us. The serving of grilled pork liempo and adobong seafood sa gata on top of steamed rice was almost unlimited, and while we were expecting it to be more pricey than our usual meals, we only paid Php100 each. And we were like: "Seryoso ka ba, 'Nay?"
Besides the beauty of the place, Jomaligins are truly beautiful people. People will greet you with smiles on their faces even when you're trying to compose yourself while on a blazing habal-habal. We also expected commodities to be a bit pricey like in other tourist destinations, but no.
We spent the last hours of our second day in the island with a two-set beach volleyball match. The revenge-seeking team who paid for our first dinner used dirty tactics to defeat my team in two sets and forced us to pay for two pitchers of iced tea. Haha.
Day 3 × Wednesday
We don't want to leave yet, but we had to leave SPIR at 4AM to make sure we'll have tickets for the first trip back to Real. We all have commitments [meetings, training and the like] and we just can't stay longer this time, but we can come back. We will come back.
Indeed, there's a kind of kilig only Jomalig can give. 😉
