・But god, by a goddamn Stars Hollow miracle, he saw you. Finally saw what you saw in him.

・Very,, very family orientated. You're in trouble? He's dropping everything to help you.

・You're sitting next to Luke on the couch watching tv and suddenly get a call saying one of your siblings needs help? Luke is already up and putting on his shoes.

・You can try and help him but he shoos you inside and says he's got this.

・Goes over and above for anything that you want.

・Will literally save up everyday until he reaches his money goal to take you to Disney Land because you told him one night you really wanted to go.

・Stubborn as all hell, thinks he knows best but you're the only person who can make him fold.

・When you first told him you loved him, he nearly got the air knocked out of him.

・He's incredibly touch-starved, and doesn't want you to know that (but of course you know that...)

Nice essay, but I don't think that she lost the will to live. That's what the droids said, but they don't know about the Force. If she lost the will to live because of the Republic, she would have started dying before she went to Mustafar, and surely she didn't lose the will to live because of Anakin or else her last words wouldn't have been filled with such hope. No, I'm going with Palpatine sucking the life out of her using the Force. Otherwise, he wouldn't have known about her death when it happened.

Also, I don't think that her psyche is that tied to the Republic because she was willing to leave it all behind with her husband and children on Mustafar and even afterwards.

I loved your Hogwarts sorting + loyalty essay! But I'm having a hard time squaring Padme-as-Hufflepuff with what we see of her leadership style. Hufflepuffs operate in teams by establishing consensus (eg Ernie Macmillan's constant appeals to his audience, or Mark Watney's humour->group cohesion) but Padme is VERY independent. She'll ditch anyone who isn't performing and often steps in herself to solve things. She rarely consults others. I think her loyalty is ideological; she's a Gryffindor.

Note: Hey, so here’s another quick chat-style piece! I haven’t had much time to sit down and write properly lately, so short and sweet it is for now. 😊 Feel free to send me some requests if you’d like! (You can check out the "rules" here: link). Summary: A little fluff with a touch of smut (nothing too crazy, just some extra flirting). Quinn’s girlfriend roasts the boys while calling them out in their group chat.

Warnings: Nothing major, just some mention of 🍆.

It was one of those quiet Sunday nights where everything felt slow. You'd spent the evening catching up on your favorite shows, but it was hard to concentrate when all you could think about was Quinn. The constant distance between you two had become harder to ignore with each passing day, and as much as you loved how happy he was with his team, you missed him. And, truthfully, you missed the whole family.

You’d gotten close to Jack and Luke over the years, and now, with Quinn playing for the Vancouver Canucks and Jack and Luke together on the New Jersey Devils, the family dynamic felt a little more spread out than you liked. Sure, they’d all make time for you when they could, but it wasn’t the same as those days when you’d all hang out together.

Tonight, instead of a call or a quick text, you decided to turn to something a little more familiar. You opened up youtube and searched for their latest highlights.

All three of them were struggling on the ice, and it showed. It hurt to see them like this, especially when you couldn’t do much to help. So you did what you always did in times like these—opened the group chat and prepared to roast them into oblivion. If nothing else, it might make them laugh.

you: just finished your highlights. Quinn, congrats on being the saddest guy on the ice again 🥇. Jack, loved the mini tantrum energy 👏. Luke, did you forget which team you play for? because those turnovers were next-level.

Jack: wow, you really woke up and chose violence.

you: always. someone has to keep you humble.

Luke: humble? this feels more like a personal attack.

Quinn: what would you call it, then?

Luke: bullying.

you: oh, Lukey, don’t take it so hard. I tease because I care 💕

Jack: you literally plotted my ex’s demise last month. is that “caring” too?

you: first of all, it wasn’t a plot. it was more of a… fantasy.

Quinn: putting her in the ground “while she’s still breathing” doesn’t sound like a fantasy…

you: listen, if she hadn’t been such a manipulative little snake, I wouldn’t have had to consider it 🐍

Luke: terrifying. but honestly? fair.

Jack: I could’ve handled her myself, you know.

you: oh, really? because from where I was sitting, she had you wrapped around her finger like a puppet.

Quinn: she’s not wrong!

Jack: whose side are you on?

Quinn: hers. always.

you: damn right honey. and don’t worry, I’m not plotting her demise anymore… unless she tries to come back. then all bets are off.

Jack: remind me to never date again. you’re scarier than Quinn’s slap shot.

You grinned as the banter flew back and forth, but your focus shifted to Luke. His disastrous date still didn’t sit right with you.

you: okay, but seriously, Lukey. I've heard some gossip. how does a girl ditch you mid-dinner? you’re literally the sweetest human alive.

Luke: THANK YOU! finally, someone gets it.

Jack: don’t encourage him. he needs to toughen up.

you: excuse me? let him be sweet! not every guy needs to have your level of 'I’m too cool for feelings,' Jack.

Quinn: valid point.

Luke: thank you, Quinn.

you: honestly, Luke, I’ll never understand how she left. did you say something weird?

Luke: no!!! I was perfectly normal.

Quinn: “normal” is a stretch…

Jack: is this really the same guy who told a girl on a first date he’d make six different accounts just to sort himself into Hufflepuff six different times because he didn’t 'trust the algorithm'?

Luke: OKAY, THAT’S DIFFERENT. I was being honest!

Movie Marathon | L. Hughes

summary: A harry Potter movie marathon in a pillow fort with Luke.

“Baby can you get more blankets?” 

Luke moved back from the stove, pulling the popcorn with him. Turning the heat off before wandering back into the living room, where you sat under a pile of blankets. 

“What do you need more blankets for?” 

“Just wait, you’ll see.”

Luke shrugged at the answer, heading towards the bedroom in search of more blankets, returning with them shortly. Watching you take them quickly, moving cushions around to form a fort structure, lying blankets across it while he took in the sight. Slowly, you emerged from the fort, careful not to disrupt the flimsy walls. 

“A fort for the movie marathon.” You smiled, looking up at Luke, who had stood in awe of the quick work you did. “Did you finish making the popcorn?” 

“Shit.” 

Luke was quick to return to the kitchen, picking up the pan and shaking it, listening to it continue to pop, hoping that it wasn’t too burnt. Slowly he re-emerged from the kitchen, popcorn now safely in a bowl, seeing you had the television on with the starting credits up. Paused, waiting for him, you laid in the fort. 

“Popcorn done?” 

He flopped into the fort, nearly taking out a wall as you scolded him for it. He moved slowly, adjusting himself without collapsing the fort atop you both, wrapping his arms around you whilst burying the bowl of popcorn upright in front of you. 

“Ready?” He whispered, his head on your shoulder as you both squished into the fort. 

“Ready.” You nodded, pressing play on the movie, listening to the infamous opening music. 

The sounds of Harry Potter filled the apartment, Luke’s body pressed against yours throughout the whole movie, making off hand comments to make you laugh. The popcorn didn’t last long, it never did with Luke, being empty within the first 20 minutes. 

By the end of the movie, Luke had passed out, snoring softly as his head laid on your chest, his arms wrapped around your torso to keep you there, as if you’d ever leave. 

“Lu,” You spoke softly, moving your arms up and down his back, “Movie’s over.” He groaned at the words, shifting only slightly. 

“Don’t want to move.” He moaned, remaining in his position, atop of you. 

“What if I had to pee?” Rhetorical question, but nonetheless you tried.

“Well, do you?” He spoke back, continuing to nuzzle further into you, his head in the crook of your neck now whilst you threaded your hands through his hair to listen to him moan in response. 

“No but-” 

“No buts then, I’m staying here forever.” 

“Lu.” You groaned, feeling him push more of his weight onto your body. 

“Forever, love, forever.” He repeats, his arms wrapping tighter around your body whilst he presses chaste kisses to the crook of your neck. 

“Let me put on the next movie then.” You compromise, reaching for the remote while he nods. 

As expected, Luke’s asleep within the hour, leaving you to watch the second Harry Potter alone whilst running your hands through his hair. Hearing a sound of disapproval every time you stopped your movements, keeping your hands thoroughly entangled in Luke’s curls to keep him content. 

“You’d be such a hufflepuff.” 

Luke’s breath halted at the statement, lifting his head from your chest to stare at you with sleep filled eyes. 

“I would not.” 

He shook his head, waking himself more to argue his case, leaning up on his forearms whilst you laid beneath him. 

“Yes you would, you are literally the sweetest person I know. You live for cuddles, you buy me flowers just because, you treat me like a goddess, you do anything I ask. You’re a hufflepuff.” 

Luke stared at you as you spoke, blank expression on his face before a pink hue tinted his cheeks. 

“I am not, I’m a gryffindor for the record. I just do those things because I love you.” 

“So if you didn’t love me you wouldn’t do those things?” 

“That’s not what I’m saying.” 

“That’s what you just said.” 

“Fuck.” 

“Hufflepuff.” 

He sighed at the word, shoving his face back into the crook of your neck with another sigh. Mumbling some words you couldn’t quite work out, leaving you to poke his side until he moved. 

“I said I surrender.” He forced out, moving away from the poking that you did, watching a smile grow on your face. 

“You’re a hufflepuff! You admit it!” 

“I didn’t admit shit!” He argued, pulling your arms back down from where you had raised them in the air. 

“But you said you surrendered, therefore you are a hufflepuff.” 

He shook his head at your words, pressing a chaste kiss to your lips instead before laying his head back onto your chest, closing his eyes in content while your hands returned to his hair. 

“We’re sleeping here tonight.” 

He made no point to give you a choice, simply letting himself fall back to sleep whilst you tried to argue back. 

“You’re going to be sore for practice tomorrow.” 

“It’ll be worth it.”

PJO Hogwarts AU! Notes below:

- Kronos is Voldemort. Obviously. He was vanquished by Zeus years ago, but is on the rise and can only be defeated by the “Chosen One” (for neither can live while the other survives yadda yadda)

- The “Chosen One” is one of the Big Three’s children—not even just the first to turn 16, just one of them

- The whole point of the AU is people trying to figure out which one out of Percy, Nico, and Jason is the “Chosen One” while all of them are secretly hoping for it to be one of the others

- Death Eaters tracked down and targeted the kids after hearing the prophecy, resulting in Bianca’s death pre-enrolment to Hogwarts. She fended them off while telling Nico to escape 🥲

- Thus, Nico shows up to Hogwarts already having lost faith in the system and edgy and sad asf. But there’s no real reason to blame Percy so they don’t have that complicating their relationship further

- Thalia turned into the Whomping Willow. No idea how or why. She also turns back at some point. No idea how or why. Drops out of school to become an underage Auror? No idea how or why.

- I fully researched Hogwarts house qualities before sorting them. I was so deep into it. Percy’s loyalty speaks for itself. Jason was difficult but I shoved him into Gryffindor. And a friend suggested Nico be in Gryffindor but just be really disgruntled about it, so that’s where he is. He has to deal with the passionate reckless assholes while in denial about being a passionate reckless asshole. (Also Nico & Jason bonding opportunities :D)

- Due to Slytherin being now inhabited practically solely by Hermes kids (who are not all related in this AU), Slytherin has totally lost its reputation as the “evil” house, and now proudly carries the tag of “Prankster House”. They’re like Fred and George Weasley except the pranking is a house-wide phenomenon

- Jason attended Durmstrang where he was held to insanely high standards as a model student/leader. After the Tri-Wizard tournament he decided to transfer to Hogwarts instead (all the Camp Jupiter kids are at Durmstrang.)

- Jason becomes Quidditch captain. Percy is duelling club captain. Percy is a god awful flier and it’s safer for everyone if he never touched a broom. Both constantly try to recruit Nico into their respective extracurriculars.
