TTTE Ranch AU: Peter Sam

i finished writing the Gordon-Scott chapter so time for my favorites: the Skarloey Railroad mining quarry corp Lodge group!

I won't spoil the chapter (read; i don't even know where it's going yet lol) but Peter Sam is definitely one of those bookworm kids who would legit rather sit at the front desk all day so he can read a book. He does love giving guided tours though, and when visitors want a bit more then a hike he'll take them to various historically significant places around the lodge and down to the NWR, swinging by Culdee Fell and Ulfstead Castle if they catch Gordon's Express.

He and Sir Handel are also very close despite being near polar opposites. Best not to mess with one lest you face the wraith of the other!

I reckon they're around 16, old enough they're mostly trusted on their own but young enough they've still got plenty to learn about the world.

For a while they got sent to the foster system, and it was by sheer luck they managed to get out. That was their darkest time (especially since Duke wasn't there) and they really don't like talking about it. Peter Sam might, if the mood is jsut right and he's feeling the vibe, though. Maybe. A starlit night, if you're close enough friends, etc.

He and Sir Handel are the good-angel-bad-angel when new workers come to the lodge. They can't help it it's their nature, especially when the lodge takes in people their age like Rusty and Ivan Hugh. Luke escapes solely because even Sir Handel can't bring himself to be mean to the guy.

speaking of which, Sir Handel is the only one allowed to bully Peter Sam. In turn, Peter Sam has been finding new ways to trick Sir Handel into listening to him talk about the plots of various books. "The Odyssey" was "a story I heard from Salty down at the docks when I brought those visitors from Normandy last week", "Jane Eyre" was "the backstory of one of the guests", "A Wrinkle in Time" was a "very weird dream I had" told in parts....as of yet, Sir Handel hasn't figured it out.

Peter Sam once got into some trouble with Henry, who'd gained a mischievous streak and joked he wouldn't wait for Peter Sam to come down the hill with the pastries Rusty baked on Fridays. The Refreshment Lady, a local who provides cold homemade drinks at a kiosk near the stop in the town of Crovan's Gate (one of the largest and the town with the biggest hospital), is supposed to come with him as Peter Sam has a wagon that can hold her goods, but he forgot her once while panicking thanks to Henry.

He also once broke his glasses and had to stumble home by seeing through what was definitely not his glasses.

His favorite book is Anne of Green Gables, because she finds a home at the end and she lives with a bunch of hardworking old people just like he does.

AU FIC IDEA: War Of Two Worlds

Based on my previous 'Lackadaisy in OTL WW2 AU' post, this is basically how I think a piece of fiction in this AU could go. Essentially, it will be episodic between our cast, moving through their arcs and seeing how they interlink with on another as the story goes.

Setting: WW2 but an intelligent feline species live alongside humans. The story goes through the continental United States in 1942 to the Western European front in 1944.

Naming reasoning

1. Human and Feline worlds (may be methaphorical or literal) becoming unexpectedly intertwined as one descends into turmoil.

2. The Lackacats/Felines fighting a war both abroad and at home. Might cover themes of integration and a nod to the experiences of african-american communities serving in WW2 despite racism.

Story Arcs (Basic overview)

Most of these for the cast could be roughly guessed from this post. I don't have much ideas in terms of story beyond Rocky, Freckle, some rough inklings for Ivy, Wick, and Mitzi.

Rocky is a new recruit into a United States Air Force bomber squadron. While this story is not really too special amongst his peers, Rocky is the first feline to join an integrated crew. His arc will involve the bumpy ride of getting used to his new role and comrades, as well as slamming head-on the challenges of being the 'test dummy' for feline integration.

Freckle's arc is mainly composed of two topics: The dynamics of feline units and their human counterparts, misunderstandings and issues of inequality in management; and Freckle struggling with how to deal with relationships with others (including his girlfriend Ivy) in the chaotic circumstances of war.

Ivy brings integration onto the stage of American culture, acting with the support of Mitzi who leads a feline representation movement to increasing support.

Wick's just going to have periodic screentime on managing research on accomodating feline soldiers to huamn-oriented equipment. One idea on the question of cat ears in hepmets, is to have steel tophats with more internal padding and communication equipment depending on the role.

Bloodshed Au - Perpetual horror and losing everything, Serena must survive different attempts on her life and to try and keep her friends alive with her.

Vocal Synth Headcanons as of March 2024

I wanna share my new headcanons as they've changed a lot and also I feel like tumblr will either ignore them or appreciate them quietly. These headcanons will include sexuality, romantic attraction, relationships, species, age, etc. <3

Before I get into this, I wanna preface this with how I view the vocal synth world in my head. In this world, vocal synths as we know them, are singers for hire and the engine(s) that they are on are the companies they work for. The companies that made them are their management team. So vocals like Miku and the cryptonloids have large management teams, aka crypton, but vocals made by singular people like independently owned utaus only have one manager. Some singers are just normal human beings, some are robots, some are literal fae, etc. But yea, the premise for all of this is that they are singers for hire.

Hatsune Miku:

A literal robot. Built in with the personality and intelligence of an adult, but marketed as a teen idol to attract more customers. THE singer for hire at Vocaloid. There are multiple Miku's because she is in such high demand. The one I like to think about specifically is an older original V2 model that has been given more modern upgrades throughout the years. She is in a relationship with Gumi. Non-repulsed asexual, but like physically she has no parts for it so (cough cough I did write wireplay gumiku fanfic cough cough). Bi-romantic.

Gumi Meg Poid

Human, around 24. In a relationship with a specific Miku. Is a single mother to Ryuto (Gachapoid). Very busy work schedule, but always tries her best to make time for her kid and her girlfriend. Lesbian. A good cook. Fell in love with Miku after singing with her a lot. Lives just outside the city in a little house with her son. Miku has keys to her house, but they don't live together because Miku is required to live close to the studio. She's a high school drop out because she found Ryuto. In this AU I have split up Megpoid (her product name) into a middle and last name. I do the same with Ryuto. The Poid family lol. (but not gakpoid because I don't have strong enough opinions about him to include him in this au. Maybe they're siblings idk).

Ryuto Gacha Poid

Gumi's son, not biologically. Currently around 7 years old. Kinda sorta half monster/dinosaur thing? Born from an egg (inspired by the light reading I did of the gachapin wikapedia page one night). Gumi saw a box on her way home from school that said something like "please take me home" and assumed it was gonna be like a cat or something. She had planned to take it to a shelter instead of leaving it in the rain. Inside the box was a large off-white egg with green spots. She assumed it was some kind of decoration and was about to walk away when it started to hatch. And out pops a crying little baby boy with little horns and a tail. What the fuck, she can't just leave him there. And thus, she has a kid now. Middle name is Gacha because gumi thought it was silly how she got him sort of like a gacha game. He is able to suppress his monster parts, but they still come out when he's really emotional. Sweet hyperactive baby boy. Probably has AuDHD. Friends with a lot of the other Vsynth Kiddos, but besties with Mo Jin. Lowkey really into hard rock and metal music (because that's what he's good at singing, I will fight people please let him sing more metal).

Hua Mo Jin

(ough my sweetest baby gorl aaaaaa more people should love you like I do. Some of what I'm about to write is canon from her character info on dsound so) Huamn, 6 years old. Surprisingly very tall for her age (I never draw her tall, but canonically she is like the average height of a 9 year old). Lives with her older sister, Hua Mo Ci, who she received her rabbit plush from. The rabbit plush scares everyone around her, but she thinks it's really sweet and takes it everywhere. She does not like hard foods, her favorite food is peony steamed buns. Autistic for sure. Also has albinism. Very quiet and doesn't talk much, but loves to sing. Does not get hired very often. Besties with Ryuto despite their language barrier. They're both working on learning English. I headcanon that her mother is dead and that she just lives with Mo Ci because it sort of parallels Gumi and Ryuto.

IA

A literal alien from the planet ARIA. This is the human disguise she takes, but her actual form is kinda blob-like and translucent idk I need to draw it out sometime. Has a younger sister named ONE. In human years she's around 19. In a relationship with Flower. Non-repulsed Asexual (can you tell I'm projecting my sexuality onto the robots and aliens yet?). Her species reproduces asexually so she never really thought about it before dating Flower, but she's open to it. Romantically I'd just say queer. I mean she's not even human and her taking on the persona of a woman was kinda arbitrary. Enjoys learning about humans. Very sleepy, she never quite gets used to earth time. Prefers to wear comfy clothes when she's not performing.

ONE

Again, an Alien from ARIA. Around 15 in human years. More energetic than IA. Participates in athletics at the school she's attending. Socially awkward and kinda shy. Somehow the more responsible of the sisters, she usually cooks breakfast because IA doesn't get up early ever. In a relationship with KAFU. Thinks humans are strange creatures. Romantically a Lesbian, but like in a gender queer way. Really looks up to her sister.

Flower

Human. 100% a lesbian you can't convince me otherwise. Somewhere around 21 I think. Another single mom, but to twins this time. It's a whole story. In a relationship with IA. Somehow keeps attracting otherworldly beings into her life. Xin Hua is her cousin, they're around the same age and pretty close.

So here's her single mom backstory. When she was a kid she used to visit her grandparents for the summer along with Xin Hua. They had would play at the little park across the road (out in the country ya know?) and their grandma would always bring them fresh fruit to snack on. So one day she eats some plums and buries the seeds at that little park. And well she stopped staying at her grandparents for the summer. She returns years later after the death of her grandparents to help clean out their house and she notices that a plum tree has grown at that little park. She takes a break to go over there and have a plum for old times sake and 2 kids fall out of the tree like "Mom!!!" Oopsie, she accidentally created 2 plum tree spirits and now she's got kids.

She is a very tired single mother and still can't really believe that this happened, but she loves them all the same and does her best for them.

KAFU

A literal robot. Created with the personality and intelligence of a teenager (16-17. KAF was 17 at the time of recording so KAFU is minor). In a relationship with ONE. Asexual grey-aromantic) Very curious personality. Likes learning things about ARIA from ONE. Very busy work schedule.

MEIKA Hime

One of Flowers little fae kids. Around 11-12. Very bubbly and hyperactive, def has ADHD. Hyperfixated on plants. Attached at the hip to her twin (I mean like an unhealthy kinda codependency for real). Non-binary, They/She. Some kinda queer. Has a crush on Una. Friends with the other middle school age kids (Una, Oliver, etc.). Not very good at academics, but enjoys science. Has psychic powers. Their life is directly affected by the their tree so if the tree gets sick or hurt, so does she. Is a sleepwalker, often ends up scaring people in the middle of the night on accident.

MEIKA Mikoto

The other fae child. Around 11-12. Not talkative at all, very blunt when she does speak. Maybe autistic, but could just be antisocial I'm not sure yet. Attached at the hip to their twin (I mean like an unhealthy kinda codependency for real). Non-binary, They/She/He. Some kinda queer. Hyperfixated on insects. Enjoys horror movies and novels. Hime's rock. Holds a bit of resentment toward Flower for leaving them alone for so long, but it fades after they start living together. Has psychic powers. Their life is directly affected by the their tree so if the tree gets sick or hurt, so does he. They prefer quiet study sessions with Oliver and find Una to be a little overwhelming at times. She enjoys learning about astrology from IA once she starts hanging around more often (when her and Flower start dating).

Kaai Yuki

Human. 9 years old. Poor immune system, often gets sick (bc her voice provider literally had a cold at the time of recording her voicebank). Kiyoteru is her foster parent, but he does eventually adopt her. Really enjoys school and learning. Tutors the littler kids.

Yun Quan

(if it's not obvious this is my fan design for her) Human, around 8. Tall for her age. Snarky and a rich girl. Very protective of her friends and very mean to everyone else. She's not allowed to wear makeup, but really wants to be able to wear it, so she just has a huge collection of lip smackers lip balm.

Otomachi Una

Human, 11. Sees gumi as a sort of big sister / mentor figure since they share a management team. ADHD. Hyperfixated on marine life, specifically eels. Since she like canonically has different personas (Sugar, Spicy, and Talk) that all seem very different, I sort of have this idea that she has DID and that those personas her her different alters, but I don't have DID and don't wanna misrepresent it so I'm hesitant with that one. My other idea for it that I lean more toward is that they're her different ways of masking. So like Spicy could be her preformance mask, sugar could be how she is in everyday life, and talk could be how she presents in school. I know I (my autistic ass) have different masks for different social settings. Also Una is really into Scene fashion and 100% drinks Monster. She is in marching band.

Oliver

Zombie boy. around 11. Soft spoken and anxious. has a pet bird named James. His whole family is some kinda monster. Self concious about his stitches so he covers them with bandages, but that just draws more attention to him. Does not like going to school or really in public at all. Afraid of water. Close friends with Mikoto and Yuki.

aight here goes- with everything I have that isn't just one big spoiler tag, because he's scheduled for chapter 3 of the fic (every time i try to post his chapter, another character shows up before him in line. Understandably considering the chapter contents....)

He's like. 15 or 16 or something in this universe. He's expected to be as tall as Gordon, but he's currently about a head shorter.

Gordon wasn't ever expected to be their father's next-in-line, that was their brother North's problem. Then North went off somewhere (everyone claims they haven't heard from him in years) and Scott ended up be "the choson one". Not that there's any competition when [redacted] [redacted] [redacted]......

When he's on the NWR, he sometimes joins Gordon when he does visitor tours. The media loves it, and Gordon gets to focus on showing off every pretty overlook point he knows. Scott just likes avoiding his homework.

Pegler used to be the coach for Gordon and Scott's brother, Nigel Gresley Jr. (who was a runner) and was a close contact of their father, especially in business. Hence why Scott currently lives with him (he eventually works for Sir William McAlpine while he goes through college in America)

He doesn't really *get* why Gordon likes to hang out with Henry so much, but just accepts it as his brother not having enough of a social life.

He also agrees with Gordon that cheese is one of the essential food groups. When Henry declares he's going to try going vegan for a month, Duck nearly sobs in relief. He stops sobbing when he catches Scott eating ice cream and bananas at three in the morning.

Pegler has to travel a lot for work, so Scott is essentially studying independently, not that it's much different from before but Pegler lets him take mail-in courses for his interests in history and geography.

He visits the ranch as much as he can- which is mostly during summers, Christmas, and the occassional time Pegler's got business in the area (which sometimes is just Pegler and Hatt communicating and having Pegler stop by with Scott when one of the brothers is having a rough time.)

As to be expected as a son of a man in showbiz, Scott's got a few tricks up his sleeve. He's very acrobatic, and more then once has found his way into rafters or ledges, dangling in ways that sometimes give even Gordon a good scare. Gordon, Duck, and Edward make an agreement to do their best to keep him away from the Buzzing Bees

and of course, his favorite food is apples. Particualrly of the Granny Smith variety.

In a nutshell, yellowstone errupted, leaving the worlds sky to be covered in thick clouds of ash, all life that wasnt draconic died out minus a few set species, one of them being huamns (only surviving through the help of engines)

Engines and Humans evolved together over the years, living with eachother in harmony. But one thing was for sure that engines were still extremly dangerous as all hell.

Since draconic animals are a temperamental species, it's best to never EVER piss an engine off, or else you'll lose half of your body. Yes, the engines in this AU are strictly carnivorous, so they will not hesitate to eat your arm and force you to watch if they're angry enough.

Make them angry enough they'll go feral. They will lose all control and will only follow their instincts, so if they're feral and they see you, my guy, you're done. You're not gonna be alive for very long.

Chester the clown was made way before Covid hit along with my version of the Afton Family.

Chester is the brother of Pennywise and the soon-to-be Prince of the Elderitches. His planet was just beyond Pluto and there lived his entire species.

His father; The Elder, was forbidden to fall in love but did anyways and had a child with a human named Wendy who was a British-researcher from earth studying the fascinating creatures. One day before the planet blew up from a Comet, The Elder created the 1990 Pennywise to be replaced as Chesters father and was forbidden to tell Chester who he really was.

But when the planet exploded, Chester and his parents were separated, Chester landed in France and his parents landed in Derry. Chester had to blend in so he took a human form and wandered for many years looking for his parents, unable to find them.

Until one day. A mad, evil scientist named Jason Afton; Williams twin brother, both sons of Quagmire and Lois. Found Chester and took him into his lab and did experiments on him. Changing his looks completely and making him into a weapon, but Chester woke up and escaped before he could finish.

That’s when a Spanish, Circus Ringmaster named Roberto found Chester and took him in as his own and helped Chester to entertain the humans. He was doing great for several months until one night, during a show, Chesters hunger became overpowering and made him go feral killing everyone unable to control himself.

After he came to, he realized what he’s done and ran off upset of what had happened. He ran for days and night finally ending up in Derry, and settling into the sewers.

That’s when Ashlynn, a Chinese-foreign girl, visiting Derry dropped her doll into the sewers. Only to meet the 11ft Clown, befriend him. And soon marry him having two children named Charlie and Lucy.

But their relationship was VERY rough at first, because Chester’s body was still changing from all the toxic chemicals that were injected. He became heartless, and over all a blood-lusted monster.

It wasn’t until Chester had a scare from the Losers Club taking Ashlynn thinking she was a hostage, to only realize what he truly had and that he couldn’t risk losing the only thing that actually cared for him.

He swore he would change for her and try to be less of a monster. And when he started to, he became soft and tender hearted.

The humans started to catch on and took advantage of it and it wasn’t before long till Chester snapped again going on a killing spree. His kids seeing what happened cause a huge argument between his son. Causing Chester to lose both his kids. Sending him down a spiraling path of mixed emotions and self blame.

But that’s when he meets a strange purple man who just so happened to live above him.

And that is the basic story of the Clown family! I will post the Afton Family soon!

Chester: 11ft tall even, 27yrs, French, Elderitch, non-human, a hermaphrodite, “Mother” of his children, Huamn name is Charles, Been married for 17yrs, older brother is Pennywise, Father is Old Pennywise, Mother is Wendy. Side job as a entertainer and a Model for clothes. Drinks Tea, eats 45 school buses worth of people, in a bit of a toxic relationship with William and is the Prince of his species. Also is a Wolf-Spider; tarantula. A friend of Stolas and is related to

Ashlynn: 5”8 even, 24yrs, Chinese/German, Mother and father are unknown, works at a Bakery with Cassandra; Williams wife. And is a stay-at-home mother.

Charlie: 7”8 even, 17yrs, a Mime; doesn’t talk at all.

Lucy: just a spider baby ready to pounce.

The Afton Family:

William is just a lost cause. He came from a very bad childhood, ab*sed by his father, mother did everything she could and his brother wasn’t the best to him. He’s 45, almost 7ft tall, stuck saying Giggity, and WAS a proud owner of Freddy Fazbear and Friends.

His father hated the route he wanted to go as a kid, being an technical engineer and creating robots for entertainment. He wanted him to be a pilot but never could cause he got air sick and his health. Was poor as a kid. Think of Cartman but worse. And he looked like Chucky as well. He had several heart attacks and bites to the head he should’ve died from.

But because of his brother, he was rebuilt from scrap and now lives a life as a animatronic. And served to be Williams therapist and prescribed him medicine to keep him from losing his mind from the nightmares he had about the animatronics and from

His daughter he k*lled that one night and stuffed into Circus baby. and is forever haunted by her shadow.

Anyways during 1983, William built Spring Bonnie and FredBear, everything was great until a kid was stupid enough to go onto the stage and FredBear started to malfunction. William was able to get the kid off but was bitten in the head and rushed to the hospital. But didn’t wake for several weeks. Stuck in a world he couldn’t escape *FNAF 4*

Years later, William tried again with the classic four, Freddy, Chica, Foxy and Bonnie. Even the puppet but was later scrapped because of the popularity of the original 4.

One teen was trying to pull a prank on his brother, and William had to step in again and was bit on the shoulder by Bonnie. Causing the kids to run off and that’s when Bonnie tipped over and crushed William beneath. Permanently killing him.

That’s when he was rebuilt. Now that William quit the workforce, he is haunted of his past failures and what he’s done. Losing sleep each night because he had to burn down his restaurants.

Sometimes he wishes he listened to his father, but how could he when he gets a call every month and is blamed for everything and belittled. Years go by and William turns to drinking as to repress his emotions, and sadly became a alcoholic.

It caused him to lash out several times and even push his son down the stairs. Causing him to break his arm, now being replaced with a mechanical arm.

Eventually Cassie had to call her father Frank; aka The Sniper who retired, and live with him for several months until William could fix himself.

And that one night. Is when he met Chester the Clown. He was drunk but didn’t know who it was and wandered into the sewers meeting the giant clown and having an actual conversation with him. Unknowingly he made a friend and possibly a new life partner.

More years go by and William manages to fix himself and even began a relationship with the clown have two kids Chucky and Annabelle. And the story just goes on from there.

William: 6”9 even, 45yrs, Russian/American, lives off of Black Coffee and Bagels, has a secret love for cats and dogs, not very expressive of his emotions but is VERY expressive with his face. Has a limp in his left leg, has many diseases because of his father, has an obsession with suits and Purple, and deeply cares for his family. Just has trouble showing it from years of neglect for his own parents. Was also practically raised by Frank. And was 21 when Michael was born. Went to South Park Elementary and transferred schools with his friend Butters and unfortunately Kyle.

Cassie; 5”7 even, 40 years old, had Michael when she was….just do the math. Owns her own Bakery, used to do rodeo shows with her father, and refers to Snipers friends as her uncles, took after her mother who was a kind yet STRICT, country women from the deep parts of the South. Had her second son Freddy in her late 30s, and has had to pin down William several times due to his temper and outbursts. This women looks like a cinnamon roll. But WILL kill you. Not literally.

Michael: 5”3 even, 35yrs, has a rough relationship with his father but would give up his own life to protect him, the Sheriff of Derry, has a secret lover who is a convict in Prison named Jennifer who went to school with him in Primary School; and plans to marry her. Has a strong father-son relationship with Chester, has a love donuts. Undyne is his aunt as well.

And has witnessed his own father, eat his principal all because he got suspended.

Freddy: 7”1 even, 21yrs, Russian, deeply cares for his mother and respects his brother, wears the mask because of a skin condition, and not very talkative.

Riley: 10yrs old, 3”2 even, built by William, and is just a lose canon ball ready to blow up at any minute, gets glitter EVERYWHERE, is afraid of toads, snails and frogs, loves Temmie Flakes, can somehow climb onto the walls, and is a very lazy, chubby baby.
