What do you think of this post
https://www.tumblr.com/saski-uchis/740996293540954112/an-analysis-on-sns-and-their-fans-treatment-of?source=share
I stopped reading when op brought up "the truth about itachi?" panel as proof that Sakura can't be judged for not knowing. But okay, I will explain this in more details AGAIN.
1. The difference in how Kishi portrayed Naruto/Sakura reasoning with Sasuke
Naruto's reasoning why Sasuke shouldn't go to Orochimaru: "He will kill you." Naruto is concerned for Sasuke's well-being.
Sakura's reasoning why Sasuke shouldn't go to Orochimaru: "Revenge won't make you... ME happy." And Sasuke says "I knew it (yappari)" because he realizes Sakura is making this about herself. That's why that line is isolated with Sasuke in the background.
She specifically claims she understood what Sasuke meant yet she compares her pain to Sasuke's entire clan being massacred and taken from him, and takes her own parents for granted.
Then when it doesn't work, she starts to confess her feelings (why the hell she always looks angry when she confesses?).
And then she completely flips on her arguments. So much for "revenge won't make you happy" like she cares about Sasuke's happiness. Unlike with Naruto, whose arguments were very simple, Kishi chose to portray Sakura in this insincere and hypocritical manner. This is a writing choice.
He actually says in Japanese "I knew it (yappari), you really are annoying." Notice how Sasuke always uses "I knew it" with Sakura, it's because his first impression of her being ignorant, selfish and childish was correct. So despite him giving her chances his first impression continues to be right.
2. Naruto's reasoning stays the same
Kishi acknowledged that Naruto didn't quite get Sasuke yet at this point, but his intentions were good nonetheless. He just didn't want Sasuke to die/throw his life away.
3. Kage arc and how Kishi again portrayed Naruto and Sakura differently:
Yes, Naruto reacts like this at first.
Kishi showed that Naruto did care and did understand Sasuke's love for his clan. He also showed Naruto was completely fine with letting the massacre be exposed. He did not care about how it would make Konoha look, even when he didn't know it to be true yet. Kishi wrote this for a reason. Kakashi then stops Naruto.
Sakura, who supposedly "loves" Sasuke, heard how much Sasuke loves his clan, was aware that Itachi had been killed, yet she didn't bother to ASK Sasuke, something Naruto was planning to do, why he is now acting the way he is since Itachi had been killed. She just didn't want to feel guilty about the promise between her and Naruto (because her ego really made her believe Naruto was only chasing Sasuke for her). So she decided to kill Sasuke.
Sakura then hears all this (after her failed attempt to kill Sasuke) which means that there is more to Itachi's case than meets the eye, and that Sasuke thinks Konoha is responsible for what happened to his clan. Yet she still doesn't ask anyone what all that was about because she does not care. Her main motivation was always to get into Sasuke's pants, she never cared about Sasuke's feelings or him as a person, that's how Kishi wrote her. The fact op used this last panel to defend Sakura is baffling to me. She was specifically given an opportunity here, and she just shrugged it off.
4. Portraying Naruto and Sakura differently yet again:
Sakura is given the chance to understand Sasuke wants CHANGE and yet does she care?
Nope, she starts yapping about her feelings and how things can go back to the way they were if Sasuke just stays with her, completely discarding Sasuke's desire for change. Which mirrors the confession she made in part 1. Kishi was showing how she has not changed in ways that matter. She is still selfish, and she still doesn't listen/nor care about Sasuke's feelings. This is why Sasuke calls her annoying yet again.
But Naruto, regardless of the shitty ending, does want change. He was shown over and over again to want to change things for the better. You can't possibly use Boruto to deny this part of his character.
Guess who again discarded what Sasuke wanted and asked to come with him on his journey he wanted to take alone, just for romantic purposes? Guess who later CHASED Sasuke just to be with him, once again discarding his wants?
"Naruto forced Sasuke to come back to Konoha" no he didn't. At no point did Naruto say Sasuke needs to live in Konoha. He let Sasuke leave at the end, and didn't force himself with him because Sasuke wanted to go alone.
People who act like Sakura would be revolutionary when Kishi over and over again showed that not only does Sakura not grow as a person, she also does not care about Sasuke's feelings or change.
Same way, Kishi had Shizune tell Sai that Naruto is not chasing Sasuke only for Sakura's sake. Yet Sakura still thought it was just for her, and thought her confession would make Naruto stop chasing Sasuke, and was shocked when Naruto said the promise doesn't even matter. Sakura constantly discards the information she receives because she just does not care if it's not about her relevance or her being together with Sasuke.
"People celebrate Naruto for doing the same things they hate Sakura for" no we don't, we just read the manga and understand what Kishi was trying to tell, hope this helps.

Omg could u imagine the hq boys doing this TT trend https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZPR3NqDxD/ when thier s/o begs them too….ahhh so cute ~🎀
🎀 the haikyuu boys as your coquette man . . .
"oops... sorry hun, i just don't know my own strength sometimes..."
he says with a false air of apology, knowing full well that you absolutely love seeing his biceps puff up when he flexes them ever so slightly. he chuckles as he sees your flustered face, the embarrassment and surprise at how easily the flimsy little bow you tied on the muscle of his upper arm came off; and he loves drinking up the delicious little look of surprise on your pretty face whenever he does that.
ATSUMU. kuroo. suna. futakuchi. konoha. OIKAWA. tendou.
"oh, shoot... hun, it fell off..."
he mutters as the thin ribbon you wrapped around his bicep earlier came undone (or rather, snapped off from the sheer pressure his muscles exerted as he flexed them for you). he was never one to show off his strength so proudly when he could be doing other things to make you swoon, he didn't really like having a lot of attention on himself—except when it came to you. he had to admit, seeing you all bashful and speechless at how easily the little tie on his arm came off from just a mere flex of his muscles made him want to show off to you a little more next time.
OSAMU. lev. asahi. kita. sugawara. daichi. HINATA.
"...it came off."
he mumbled as he looked down at the tiny ribbon that was snapped cleanly into two when he flexed his muscles. he couldn't understand why you wanted him to flex so badly for you when you both knew that ribbon would pop off his bicep, but when he saw your flustered reaction, he couldn't help but be flustered, too, albeit in a quiet, trying to subtle about it way. and he wasn't just the strongest, hottest man in the world at that moment... he was also your cutesy, embarrassed, coquette man.
USHIJIMA. kageyama. tsukishima. SAKUSA. AKAASHI.
"y'see that babe?! now aren't i just the coolest?"
he exclaims as he flexes those bulging muscles of his again as the ribbon you tied on him fell off; he always had a bit of an ego to him, but he loved to prove that he was strong and able to tease you–especially when all your attention was focused on him. go ahead, touch his biceps, he won't mind... he'd just wanna squeeze you in between them and make you even more flustered.
NISHINOYA. TANAKA. terushima. TAKETORA. hoshiumi. BOKUTO.

Kakashi, as usual, living in another planet.
Sakura decided to murder Sasuke just to solve a diplomatic problem between Konoha and a village she didn't even care about, based on a rumour she never confirmed, and avenging someone she hadn't ever met. She planned the killing to the point of poisoning the kunai, drugging and abandoning her comrades and preparing an act to fool Sasuke and lower his guard. This was a premeditated murder attempt, an attempt at performing a summary execution for the military regime she was serving, led at that moment by a genocidal dictator.
This is the sweet Sakura that loved his "friend" and cared for him that much, the one that wanted to "save him from the darkness" by assassinating him. The one that can do no wrong in the eyes of Kakashi.

Your opinion? https://www.tumblr.com/dranosh-haran-of-paleoworld/766237407554273280/why-do-you-hate-itachi-so-much?source=share
Had to use a different browser because this pleasant person has me blocked lol anyway.
TL;DR: Itachi had no right to do the things he did, but he also had no choice. Even if adult onlookers could come up with choices, he was a child trapped in a mindset his authority figures hammered into him in his formative years, and then he was put under additional duress. Come the fuck on.
"This guy willingly betrayed his own people and family, selling them out to the government who wanted to destroy them all."
"Willingly" when talking about a 11-12-year-old brainwashed, groomed, traumatized child under duress is kinda wild. Yes, Naruto is all about normalizing child soldiers, but there's a line and that's Itachi having his horrible "milestones" at an age where others are still in school.
And it's not treason to report a conspiracy to commit, well, treason.
More after the break. Enjoy this screencap of a literal child and one of the many adults who chose to fail him.
Itachi was 11 when he joined the ANBU, 12 when he killed the clan. His incompetent piece of shit father dragged him into a "kill or be killed" situation at 4, and he already had the muscle memory of slitting throats ON REFLEX?? What the everloving fuck did Fugaku do to his toddler? He was encouraged to leave school and enter the field for more death and horror at 8. All for the alleged greater good that was peddled to children and adults more aggressively than America's magical sky cloth. Fugaku and Danzo played a grooming tug-o-war with a literal prepub child and actively, deliberately, had him believe the weight of the world rested on his 3 inch shoulders. The fuck did anyone think was gonna happen when Itachi joined the ANBU everyone encouraged him to join, and did the work he was taught to admire - BY Fugaku, by the way. Fugaku wanted a peacemaker, then tried to start a war. Hm.
Also, Itachi didn't "sell out" his clan. If I know a family member is about to start something with predictably catastrophic ramifications, like, you know, a glorified terrorist invasion ("coup"), I have a moral obligation to report that. "Family" does not matter. Blood, water, starting a war is something you deserve to have sabotaged. And if you're willing to kill, you better be ready to be killed. Everyone who cheered for the coup willingly risked death and willingly doomed their families. "Bloodless revolution" my ass, that is delusional. As if Konoha is just gonna accept Fugaku after a COUP!? Fucking TREASON!? Oppressed or not, you sow violence, you reap violence, and public perception matters. The public's perception of the Uchiha coup would probably be *checks notes* treason :)
"His own people"? They all treated him like a trophy and an attack dog when they didn't outright abuse him for speaking his mind, when he was clearly old enough to let them exploit him. All they had for him was demands to make them proud and bring them glory, at the cost of his well-being. Chapter by chapter in Itachi Shinden, you can watch him wither and crumble. When Itachi's comrade was killed when he was 8, Fugaku literally said "He'll get over it" while his boy was falling apart in the next room. Those are not "his own people", they're one big, bubbling cunt stew with very few exceptions, judging by the novel.
Whether the government wanted to destroy the Uchiha clan or whether it was racist or oppressive ultimately doesn't matter when the active threat to world peace and countless lives is coming from the other side. Two things can be true at the same time, so yeah Konoha sucked, but also yeah, the Uchiha posed a threat. The clan's lives weren't in danger when they decided to endanger everyone over discrimination that isn't even as egregious as what fat people on airplanes have to deal with. Defunding the police (LMAO), not letting a latent traitor run for president, surveillance, and a dedicated, OPEN compound none of the other clans who got one bitched about. Wow, what a compelling reason to set the world on fire!
Yes, Konoha failed the clan, yes, Konoha is scum for that. But two wrongs don't make a right. I'm tired of this whole nonsense of "they're oppressed so they're allowed to act like total barbarians and be the next oppressor". I'm tired on a personal level which you can probably guess.
This is not a responsible adult:
"He knew about Obito and that he was behind the 9-Tails attack but said nothing to anyone. He discriminated against his own people and slaughtered them all to the last child."
He should definitely have reported Obito. But calling his actions against the clan discrimination is like saying the German police discriminates against that Berlin-based crime family because it happens to be a BIPOC minority. THEY ALSO HAPPEN TO BE THE FUCKING MOB. Of course, most Uchihas probably weren't active combatants and didn't deserve to die, but as horrible as it is, strategically, Danzo had a point when he said there could be no potential avengers.
Plus, outsiders like to focus on numbers as if more dead people means more suffering, but this isn't true. Just because 99 people suffer and die with me, doesn't mean each of us suffers and dies 100-fold. Sasuke was based when he said Itachi should have killed him, too. Outsiders don't want to accept this because it IS horrible, but sparing a young child after killing his whole family, is not kind. What would've awaited any children Itachi spared? The village that ordered their parents' slaughter? A world that clearly doesn't want them and will come after them at the first chance? Yeah sounds ever so fucking merciful. Just because unaffected gawkers think preserving a unique cultural or genetic group is the most important thing, doesn't mean the people actually affected have such priorities when literally staring death or a life of pain in the face.
"He cast Tsukuyomi on his own parents and brutally murdered them, tortured his own little brother beyond imagine with one torture session putting Sasuke in a fucking coma, one he would've never gotten out of if it wasn't for that bitch Tsunade and that's the only good Tsunade did in the series."
When did he cast Tsukuyomi on his parents? And "brutally", well, they surrendered and he cut them down rather quickly. All murders are brutal. Should he have raided the local vet and injected them with anaesthetics first? He was a 12-year-old child, crying, shaking, probably exhausted and barely coherent after having killed all the others, and looking at his final victims, his parents, comforting him. Striking them down quickly was the best for everyone involved at that point, anything more elaborate, "more gentle", would have prolonged this horror. Also what did Tsunade do wrong, and if Itachi hadn't knocked Sasuke out for a while, he would have gotten himself killed. The Tsukuyomi was overkill, 100%.
"Itachi thought he was wiser and more noble than his own people, which was pure and utter arrogance. When brought back as an edo, he said that a 7-year-old Sasuke could've changed the clan. He called himself Itachi Uchiha of Konoha and that he specifically had no regrets he was a massive piece of shit in life and death."
This is called interpretation. Yes, he was an arrogant child, he admitted this, Shisui told him, adults told him. But being an ass at the dawn of puberty doesn't invalidate the fact that he WAS smarter than most and the Uchiha uprising WAS a problem, and the clan was infinitely more arrogant than him for thinking they could just take power and that's the end of it. They were delusional. Being 11 when pointing this out doesn't mean he's wrong.
Vilifying him for calling himself "Itachi Uchiha of Konoha" is silly. Many nations will do horrible things behind the scenes to keep the peace, and just because Sasuke and Itachi were the tragic and ever so pretty victims of this, doesn't make Konoha worse than others. It is a place people actually live in. A place people call home and have a right to call home and feel safe and thrive in. Itachi did what he was forced to do by both sides, to protect people's home and peace, not to get headpats from Danzo and Hiruzen.
He also never said he didn't regret the massacre. The fact that he said he wished he would have confided in Sasuke, the fact of him telling Naruto, Sasuke, and Kabuto that he was wrong to try and solve everything on his own, all suggest he wishes it had been different. His words when he dissolves are "Mou miren ha nai", which can be interpreted as regretting nothing, but this is usually meant in a sense of unfinished business. Itachi could not un-kill the clan. Danzo was dead. What more could he do that he could still have "miren" about? Personally, I think he shouldn't have undone the whole Edo Tensei because he kinda owed Sasuke to stick around and fight the other Edo Tenseis manually, but that's not the point.
Actual footage of Itachi alone with his thoughts, probably:
"None of his plans make any kind of fucking sense. He wanted to save Konoha from war even though the other villages wouldn't have attacked for their own reasons."
Kindly look at Syria, Sudan, or Yemen, because the civil war the Uchiha were sure to start, would have been bad enough, you absolute pinecone. But I agree, Itachi's plans were mostly shit, but who taught him any kind of life skills or coping mechanisms? He wasn't parented, he wasn't guided, he was a trained attack dog. He never grew up mentally because when you're not allowed to feel like a child, know what being a child is, how are you gonna know when you're supposed to be all grown up and smart? He treated his suicide by Sasuke like a playdate. He toyed with him. He was a typical old soul, trauma and paralysis masquerading as maturity and composure. It's very apparent in the novels how helpless and small he felt. When the FUCK did he get a chance to unlearn his helplessness on one hand, and the world resting on his shoulders on the other? Itachi was deranged, but not by his own doing. A 4 to 12-year-old child is not responsible for their poor life "choices".
"So Itachi saved Konoha from zero potential wars, especially when none of the other villages attacked after Obito's, Orochimaru's, and Pain's assaults in the series."
I wasn't aware Itachi's Sharingan could accurately predict the future. He stopped the civil war that was certain to happen and that he could stop. Not a single ninja has ever been expected to fix the whole world and the few who expected it of themselves were even more deranged than Itachi. Why hold a 12-year-old to a higher standard just because he's foolish enough to do so himself? Right until Shisui died, Itachi clung to his naive dream of becoming the greatest ninja to stop all wars. And then, both Fugaku and Danzo demanded he be that, when Shisui's death just had him realize how helpless he is. And then, there was a war looming on the horizon that he COULD prevent.
"He practically sent Sasuke gift wrapped to Orochimaru or Danzo. He knew about Obito and Pain's plans and yet did nothing about them, which just screwed over Konoha immensely."
Yeah he fucked up with Orochimaru, and this was one of the things he could have predicted after Orochimaru tried it with him. Not killing Orochimaru when he had both cause and opportunity, was bafflingly stupid and I'll chalk it up to plot armour since Itachi will kill his own mother to protect Sasuke.
He was also a useless spy in Akatsuki, yes. He aided and abetted in several Kage and Jinchuuriki assassinations, all to keep a cover of questionable use.
We do have to grant him that he needed to stay alive to give Sasuke deserved closure. He didn't even know Obito wasn't Madara, so I don't expect him to have known much about Pain's abilities. Given he allegedly ties with Jiraiya and we all know what Pain did to him, Sasuke would not have gotten his revenge. As for Danzo, can we not underestimate him please? He had to be worn down into self-destruction by Sasuke, and when Itachi attacked him in the novel after getting the MS, he was immediately stopped.
"He was never a prodigy or anything, unlike Sasuke. His fights are just him using genjutsu on his opponents and overpowering them with it, which just childish and stupid. He pulled Susanoo, Mirror Yata, and the Tsoka Blade out of his ass."
I agree Susano'o and its rigs were asspull done to compete with DBZ ratings, but how was he not a prodigy when he was recommended for graduation at 8? Poor writing or not, the canon fact is that Itachi was way ahead of his peers and many adults. We can't blame a character's personality in one moment, then bad writing the next. All writing boils down to creating the character's reality and all facts written by the author are equally valid.
Calling genjutsu childish and stupid is silly as you can apply this to all jutsu. Naruto's army of clones is arguably more ridiculous than mastering an otherwise underdiscussed technique at a level that has people like Kakashi scared. Personally, I think the big noisy techniques like Kisame's water jutsus and Hashirama's Slaparama are a lot more childish and geared towards hollering little boys. Itachi's fighting style is elegant and super duper gay.
"This fucker is all over the place and doesn't make sense. Dushman-e-jaan has posts that go into greater detail about how this guy doesn't make sense, and I recommend you read them as she does an infinitely better job at explaining my dislike for Itachi than I have."
Dushman explicitly supports this:
But thinks Konoha is worse for allegedly being this:
In other words, Doucheman is fine with making 0 sense whatsoever as long as they can virtue-signal for fascists if they know how to sell the underdog act.
#anti itachi#pro uchiha#anti konoha#itachi#pro itachi#itachi was a child man#y'all infantilize 24yos when it comes to dating but a 12yo is solely responsible for insane things he was groomed to do by the government#sasuke#fugaku uchiha#fugaku is a c*nt#Danzo and Fugaku deserved each other I will die on this hill

hmmmmmmmmmmmmm sakura. more specifically dirt and ashes sakura 😌
Regarding the "new FMK ask meme where you send me one character and I answer what they'd be like in bed, what marrying them would be like, and how to kill them" post.
This one might need a little context for at least some of my blog followers. Dirt and Ashes refers to a fanfic I wrote some time ago where the Naruto plot line diverges following the Konoha Crush arc. It focuses on a Jashinist Sakura who follows Hidan around like a cute bloody duckling. (https://archiveofourown.org/works/4012402)
Let's go!
--
Sex with Dirt & Ashes Sakura is probably unsatisfying. She's curious, but it's overhyped and underwhelming to her. There's no orgasm that feels as intense or as gratifying as dying in agony in supplication to a god who loves you. Obviously.
Also, if you do bite this bullet, you really have to be prepared for Hidan to eventually hear about every single thing you do together. Sakura will tell him. Like, they've held each other's intestines, she's been face to face with his limp genitals while she reattaches chunks of his naked body to the rest of it. Her dimly-remembered social conditioning has taken a few hits when it comes to TMI vs Hidan, and he's not squeamish. He'll ask. She'll tell. Just hope he doesn't give you constructive feedback.
--
Marrying D&A Sakura is a bad idea because she's really dedicated to the holy doctrine of suffering. She violated it once, for Sasuke, and vowed not to do that again.
You'd probably have to convert, and that process might kill you if your faith isn't strong enough to carry you. But then, she might kill you if you don't.
Also, again, you are constantly dealing with the intrusion of Hidan into your life. One really does marry a spouse's whole family, I'm afraid.
--
If you want to kill her, you will have to pin her down somehow and starve her until she can no longer produce the chakra to passively recover. It'll take weeks. (This is "canon" to Dirt and Ashes.)
There will be complications. She's probably smarter than you, for one, and if she goes missing for too long you'll get a face full of Hidan for your troubles. Be prepared to kill them both, man.

Leaf's Ranma AU - Character Profile Uzumaki Saotome Tendo Ranma
Born around ten years after the destruction of Uzushiogakure at the conclusion of the Second Shinobi World War, to Uzumaki Nodoka and Saotome Genma, Uzumaki Ranma has been denied a permanent home since before they were born. To add to that, ever since they could walk, Ranma has been separated from their mother, taken on a more than a decade long training journey by their father.
While not officially a missing-nin, they spent most of their life on the move through elemental nations, only staying in smaller villages and taking odd missions with their father Genma. Their talent for taijutsu has earned them an entry in the bingo books as a footnote under Saotome Genma’s page as Saotome Ranma.
Known mission history includes a whole heap of D-ranks, a handful C-ranks and one B-rank that had Ranma facing off against the shinobi of Nadeshiko Village.
A training accident while trying to learn a Tanuki Transformation Technique at age six has barred Ranma from signing their name on the Tanuki summoning contract belonging to their father Genma, and messed up their proficiency in other transformation techniques, including the regular transformation jutsu.
It’s not known if Ranma has succeeded in signing any other summoning contracts, but Genma has reportedly been asking about the location of the Cat summoning contract since Ranma was eight years old and has stopped the inquiries after a visit to Nekomata Fortress.
Current place of residence - Konoha. Ranma has officially joined the Tendo Clan (engaged to Tendo Akane) and was given a rank of genin following a short evaluation of their skills in the academy, making them officially a shinobi of the Leaf.
Currently part of Team Yamato (also known as Team Four), with Hibiki Ryoga and Tendo Akane as their teammates. The newly minted team is yet to take their first mission.
----
Art by the wonderful @beedokart 💙💙💙 See also https://linktr.ee/fernvbedek. I'll eventually ask her to draw all of the team four, be patient 💙 For Ryoga Hibiki, look here. And - Tendo Akane
---
This has been a draft of Tendo Ranma's profile for the Merger AU in which I have transplanted a handful of Ranma characters into Naruto (Dreaming of Sunshine) universe. I suspect that the knowledge of Dreaming of Sunshine is not gonna be needed, but I didn't wanna remove Shikako from the setting, since she's very dear to my heart. 💙 Leaf's Ranma... coming to an archive of our own... someday in the future.
This is part of a larger effort to showcase more of my writing, and an attempt to force myself to sit down and write. 💙

Fic rec! It's chefs kiss. Give it a shot! I think you'll love it.
It's a romance crossover with Jjk (Gojo x femNaruto) but their breakdown of Naruto and life in a shinobi culture rampant with misogyny and the entire horror show that was Naruto's life is amazing.
The author has done a really amazing job with Naruto and Satoru as well. Its a slow burn. They have just started dating but the tension is off the charts. The author has also created such a wonderful relationship between Naruto and the jjk kids, not to mention explored Naruto's feelings on the Leaf and her parents.
They are also emphasizing Naruto's issues with Minato and how she is Kushina's child through and through. Just...how much Konoha destroys children and how much they suffer later in their lives.
It's Naruto with daddy issues to put it crudely, but by God I have never seen someone break down Naruto's feelings over Minato so beautifully before.
Oh. And her yearning for Kushina. Can't forget that.
It's a canon break down though when it comes to the past and characters everything. So yeah Sakura isn't the best in this.
But Naruto's character and her relationships with everyone is beautifully explored. Everyone has issues and hangups and trauma. So many people mean well, but there way of showing it is absolutely garbage (cough Kakashi cough)
It's not easy being an orphan girl in a village like Konoha. But Naruto is actually learning how to break away from these issues. (Honestly the entire fic is like a love letter to this character and it shows.)
The story also challenges Naruto's own mentality on what she considered ok and normal- after being raised in a place like Konoha- and acknowledges how toxic her bond with Sasuke was.
There is also the entire debacle that is Naruto's fears on motherhood, just aggghhhh! Give it a shot!
oh i will be checking this out asap

Crawling Back to Me
Jiraiya x NarutoMotherFigure!Reader x ???
Synopsis: You had broken things off with the Sannin, but when he arrived back in Konoha 2 years later - you were feeling things you wished you didn't.
Song: Guilt by Nero (Link: https://music.youtube.com/watch?v=r1ATFedwjnk&feature=share)
He angered you, angered you more than you'd like to admit. "You could go talk to him... You know?" Kakashi muttered, annoyed with the way you were ignoring him. You let out a huff, arms crossing as you looked at the white-haired man beside you. "I can't just go talk to him, Kashi... I broke it off remember"
Kakashi let out a hum, he knew quite well how that convo went down two years ago. There was a lot of screaming, crying, and throwing of shoes. You two were toxic for each other, so he wasn't sure why you wanted to talk to the idiot across the field. You turned back to watch Jiraiya as he walked Naruto through a couple of moves. "I just wish he would just, I don't know-"
"Beg for you back?"
"Yes! Exactly!! That's exactly how I-"
Your mouth slammed shut as you turned to face a disappointed Kakashi. He didn't have to say anything, the look in his eyes alone told you that what you were wishing for was not okay. "What did he do to you again?"
His question didn't mean to come out condescending, but it did anyway. You pursed your lips before facing forward. Your eyes dropped to the gravel below your feet, what did you break up with him for? He didn't cheat, never hurt you in any way... There had to have been a reason though.
Kakashi's glare softened as he took in the way your face crinkled in pain. "Why don't you go talk to him..." his hand went to your back, rubbing at it in the hopes it would alleviate some of the angst coursing through your bloodstream. "He won't listen to me, I don't think I deserve the chance to talk to him-"
"Hey"
Both you and Kakashi looked up in shock. You were so focused on trying to remember why you broke it off and Kakashi was so focused on you that neither one of you saw or heard the man walking towards you. "Jiraiya" you breathed out, eyes sparkling hopefully as he towered over you. "Naruto needs some supplies for our next trip. Can you get them for him before we leave?"
Kakashi bit back a snarl as he watched your face fall into a deeper pain, a pain that you felt throughout your entire body, one he knew all too well. "Ya." You whispered as your eyes drifted to Kakashi. The disbelief and agony written all over your face had him fighting the urge to pummel the man before him for making you feel this way.
"Thanks" he stated simply before turning to leave. "That's it? You aren't even going to ask her how she's been?"
"Kashi" you whimpered out, hand flying to his wrist as he took off after the older man. Jiraiya stopped in his tracks, head-turning just enough so you both could see his glare. "I have nothing to do with her. Not anymore" the snarl that flew from his lips had you shaking in both anger and fear. You understood that he probably didn't want to see you ever again, but to this extent?
"You're a fucking asshole-"
"Kakashi" you warned again as passerby's started looking your way. Jiraiya turned finally to face the other white-haired man. Kakashi broke free from your grip and stepped forward, both sizing the other up as if threatening the other to back down.
"I don't think you deserved her from the start" Kakashi snapped out, finally having enough of the asshole before him. "What, and you did?" Jiraiya bit back, "I know you had a pathetic little crush on her, yet you weren't the one who got in her pants. I was"
Your eyes widened in shock at the way Jiraiya spoke about you, it was disgusting. If this is how he talked about you in front of you, "Jiraiya" you stated firmly, the way you spit his name out was venomous, as if it left a bad taste in your mouth. "If you speak about me like that, or any woman for that matter, in front of Naruto... And he picks up that language... I will pull him from your training and ensure he will never see you again, do you understand me?"
Jiraiya's eyebrow shot up in surprise, he wasn't used to this side of you. But, deciding to let it go, he backed down from Kakashi. He turned once more to leave, and this time Kakashi let him.
Kakashi's eyes met yours, softening at the once again sad look in your eyes. He was hoping the anger you just had would persist, but it would seem that the only thing you were feeling was angst. "Let's go home Kakashi..." you whispered, chancing a glance towards the field once more to see Naruto waving at you. You didn't know if your threat was real or not, but it didn't matter.
"Naruto won't be like him" Kakashi seemed to always know where your mind was heading, and he knew what to do to stop the train of thoughts. You nodded at him, it was true, and you knew that but the urge to pull him from the older man was stronger than ever.
"I just wish I was strong enough to train him myself"
Kakashi nodded at that, you had felt that way for a long time, even before meeting Jiraiya. Deciding that enough was enough, you raised your hand and waved back to Naruto who you could hear let out a happy squeal at the wave. A smile formed on your lips as you shook your head - "That kid is nothing and will be nothing like him because you're the one raising him."
You smiled sweetly at Kakashi, before remembering something that Jiraiya had said.
"I know you had a pathetic little crush on her"
You didn't know if it was true, you were silently hoping it was though. "Hey" you breathed out finally, ignoring your brain as it screamed for you to stop. But you couldn't, you had to get the words out because you had been dreaming of a chance like this. "I feel like we need to talk about what he said..."
Kakashi's eyebrows furrowed, but the confusion on his face was quickly replaced by understanding. His cheeks grew red, eyes looking everywhere but at you as he tried to fight off the panic rising in him.
"So it is true" you beamed, fingers playing with one another as you stepped towards him. This was it, for years you had loved him but pushed it down for fear of him not loving you back. "Can I be honest with you?"
He finally met your e/c eyes, and the way you were looking at him made his stomach flip. Grabbing his hands, you leaned in closer to his face. The tension was thick and it had him mentally begging and pleading for you to say anything at all. He expected a rejection, but he wasn't expecting the four words about to fly from your mouth. The four words he didn't know he needed to hear. You took a deep, shaky breath, dreamy smile plastered onto your face as your lips hovered by his ear.
"I feel the same"

Your wish is my command.
Thanks to @samgazm for requesting!
TW suicide, mental health issues. This post deals with very sensitive topics and if you can relate to these mentioned subjects, please view at your own risk or rather skip this one. Here’s a list of hotlines you can call if you’re currently struggling with these kinds of thoughts:
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_suicide_crisis_lines
You deserve to be helped and to be happy!
How I would fix Shisui Uchiha
There’s actually a lot that can be done with Shisui’s character, since we don’t know much about him from the canon.
Characterize him as a kind soul who’s intelligent and well intentioned, but susceptible to being manipulated. Since manipulation has “worked” for the people in his life (Danzo) before, show how he thinks manipulating the will of Fugaku by using Kotoamatsukami is the only way to achieve a false sense of peace.
What’s with his parents?
His grandfather is Kagami Uchiha, isn’t he?
We can assume his family is more on the side of Konoha than most Uchiha. Show him being in a constant conflict with the part of him that is aware of the discrimination of the Uchiha and the part of him that favors status quo of Konoha.
You can flesh out this inner conflict to a degree where it becomes understandable as to why he would end his life. The reason why someone decides to commit suicide are incredibly personal and individual, and for quite a lot of people suicide is not just dying for the sake of it, but as an escape from their current existence. I can see that being Shisui’s motive as well.
Show us how on the surface, he’s that ball of sunshine full of zest for life and then cut back right to the despair-ridden teen with broken dreams who was forced to mature way too early by a dilemma with no control to change the situation.
In his last moments, make him doubt his loyalty to Konoha and the shinobi system that it runs under.
Flesh out his relationship with Itachi, even after his death. Make Itachi resent him for leaving him alone with this incredibly hard decision. (Which isn’t even a real decision)
Even if Itachi is the gentlest, most loving person, even he’s allowed to resent and mourn his best friend.

He was sorely mistaken to think anything he said to Hinata would make a difference.
He’d been agonizing over Inuwashi’s theme: mood boards that lacked spark, books, and magazines strewn about in his office; he just couldn’t find inspiration. But it was high time he made up his mind.
To go above and beyond, things have to be right at the onset. Neji entrusted him with that much. He shouldn't steer the club publication aimlessly, taking up whatever social issue seemed relevant, slapping random pretty photos into one collection, submitting it for the Kage Jinkoutekina Radiance Capture Merit Prize Competition, and calling it a day.
Sairiumu's Photography Club's inception can be traced back to a small group of visionary students who, driven by a passion for documenting and preserving history, embarked on a journey to capture the essence of their era through the lens of a camera. Over time, this led to archives that date back 300 years, amassing a rich tapestry of visual history that chronicled the evolution of culture, society, and technology of former Konoha, now Metro Konoha.
Indeed, the archives are the Photography Club's pride and heritage, and Sasuke's predecessors didn't shy away from utilizing its treasures for older issues of Inuwashi. Even so, it didn't win them a Kage-Jin, as it is fondly called in the photography world. He studied previous winner publications and found two common traits: a stronger theme, and high aesthetic value.
To clear his mind, he took a week off school—a privilege he has as club president—and went hiking along the mountain trails of the Konoha Natural Reserve. He ached for the serenity and the scenery by the lakes; animals are also easily his favorite subjects. Convincing an increasingly distrustful Sakura to let him go solo backpacking for a week had taken great pains so it came as a bitter disappointment when he found the trails packed with tourists.
Though he managed to take pictures and enjoyed the view, he wasted his time when he returned that Monday, the day of the qualifying exhibition for aspiring new members, without a solid theme still. Adding to this stress was seeing Hinata Hyuuga’s name on the list of participants who made submissions. Had he not taken a week off, he could’ve rectified this mistake with the recruitment committee early on, not during the exhibition proper when he strode at noon where it could be unseemly.
“Are you sure you checked all of these names?” said Sasuke, his tone dripping with accusation. Already, he could feel stiffness returning to his muscles, the pressure steadily increasing at his nape.
Tenten tilted her head curiously, taken aback. “What do you mean? We’ve checked everything twice. All these names have their entries inside with designated bead urns all accounted for.” There had been a case of hacking during online voting in the past, so the recruitment committee took to devising creative means year after year.
“Isn’t there a master file that shows the exhibit numbers with the names? Show it to me,” he demanded, his nostrils flaring as he kept his anger simmering at a level. If he were to ask directly which one is Hinata Hyuuga’s, he would seem more suspicious. All entries were identifiable only by their assigned number.
Tenten hesitated for a moment, her brows furrowing slightly at the unusual request. “I’m sorry, Sasuke, but that file is strictly confidential. Only I, as committee club head, have access to it.”
Sasuke raised a brow. “I’m the president…” He let the sound of the title hang in the air and when this didn’t seem to convince Tenten, he added: “Read the club rule book. There are exceptions given to the club president.”
“But that’s how I’ve been instructed by the upperclassmen before I assumed office. Only I can know the master list–”
“I do things differently,” he replied. “It’s crucial that I understand the quality of this year’s candidates. Besides, I’m not going to vote.”
“You can, though.” Tenten remained skeptical and avoided his eyes, much to Sasuke’s irritation.
He let out a frustrated sigh and pinched the bridge of his nose. He ought not to make a scene, not in the open where teachers and other students could be out and about. Reminded of this, Sasuke regained his calm.
“I’m not interested in who makes it,” he assured her, “I’m only interested in what they can do and how they think. Now, show me!” He held out his hand impatiently.
Tenten looked up, a hint of concern crossing her features. “Fine,” she replied cautiously, unlocking her tablet and handing it to Sasuke. “But please understand, the file contains sensitive information.”
Satisfied that he got what he wanted, he sent Tenten and the others to take a break. As he scrolled through the master file, he realized why Tenten was so protective of it. The document contained sensitive details like family background, home addresses, and contact information. And, truly, it hadn’t been an error on the recruitment committee's part— Hinata Hyuuga unabashedly made a submission, despite all that he said.
Exhibit #67: Hinata Hyuuga
Father’s Name: Restricted Data
Mother’s Maiden Name: Restricted Data
Home Address: Restricted Data
Past her other personal information, equipment used, and post-processing details was the brief description of her entry:
Mourning doves are everywhere, so commonplace that they fade into the background. Does it make them unworthy subjects? Who truly notices them?
All Sasuke needed to remember was the number sixty-seven. He could easily make up a reason to disqualify her, but his curiosity got the better of him. Who is she really? Why is her family information classified? What made her different from the others? Maybe her photo would give him some clues into her psyche.
He slipped into the exhibition hall, his ears straining for any hint of approaching footsteps, and moved in with deliberate care, avoiding any noise that might draw attention. To his surprise, he found Neji Hyuuga standing by entry number sixty-seven, his hand deep into an unlocked bead urn which would then be weighed at the end of the day to determine which top fifty new members got the most votes via porcelain beads.
How he got the key, Sasuke could only guess. Such a lowly crime that Neji Hyuuga is forced to commit.
Whatever his reasons were for pocketing in some beads for Hinata Hyuuga’s urn to lose some weight, Sasuke carefully took another turn and pretended the second time that he had just arrived.
“Neji, what brings you here?”
Sasuke adjusted his manner to be more casual, easier to play untarnished by the curse of knowledge of Neji’s crime. He couldn’t help chance a glance at exhibit number sixty-seven, of mourning doves bathing in a puddle on the side of the road, their wings as though ballerina arms outstretched, their faces of satisfied bliss while cast on the reflection of the murky water were the faces of preoccupied pedestrian impatient to get to their destination.
Neji paused at the sight of Sasuke and smirked in that regal, smart-alecky way of his. “If I didn’t know you any better…” His smile then slipped into a pensive frown. “There’s no shame in doing what’s best for the club. Better believe me when I say this one getting the most votes is bad news.”
Sasuke perused Hinata Hyuuga’s photo some more. “The most votes you say? Surely none in this row.” He then looked at Neji and half-smiled, assuring a mentor and friend that he’ll keep silent about it regardless of the underlying reasons.
Neji smiled back in mutual understanding. “Let’s go out to dinner sometime. After my exams.”
“I’d be delighted,” replied Sasuke. “But… would you mind if I ask why?”
Neji went around the other entries to drop some voting beads on the ones he deemed somewhat palatable. “It’s best to avoid some people, Sasuke,” said Neji. “They might look normal… speak normal for the most part. But somewhere along bits and pieces here and there, you’ll realize it’s better not to get entangled with such certain people even if they’re family—maybe especially if they’re family. You’d be more careful not to be associated with such kinds of people.”

oooh yeah I'm working on a fic! It's a non-massacre AU where they just get to live their best lives as far as the militaristic shit show that is Konoha allows.

Personally I think it would be funniest if Deidera was positioned to win the fight — new jutsu, unheard of kekkai gekkai, startling familiarity with clan and forbidden techniques (cause he’s seen everything when fighting against Konoha before) only to lose when he makes the unwise decision to blow everything up in a fit of rage because Tobirama angered him
This is EXACTLY how that fight would go, anon. No further notes. Deidara is a very talented shinobi whose key weakness is his own personality.
(This ask makes reference to this one I think: https://www.tumblr.com/tozettastone/762960253044293632/would-deidera-be-stronger-than-tobirama-or )

I looked up sns naruto and found this 🤢
https://at.tumblr.com/enby-axels/703309997140066304/vcbr9thsnrer
'Otp: thank you' 🤣
There's so much to unpack here. Kishimoto showed over and over again that Sakura does not care about Sasuke as a person nor what he wants.
Sakura making Sasuke's revenge about her and Sasuke noticing it.
2. Sakura noticing her tactics don't work and doing a full 180 on her arguments, because Sasuke's well-being isn't what's important to her, but that Sasuke is with her. She's being totally irrational here.
So, Sakura did not care what Sasuke wanted or what was good for him at this point of the story.
3. Instead of bothering to find out WHY Sasuke was suddenly acting the way he was, she comes up with this brilliant plan /sarcasm/ where she lies to Naruto that she likes him to get him to stop chasing Sasuke, drugs her comrades and leaves them unconscious in the forest, and tries to stab Sasuke with a poisoned kunai. Twice.
4. She heard "the truth about Itachi" and heard Sasuke yelling about how Konoha is responsible for his misery but she never once bothered to ask anyone present what was that all about. Because her main concern was always just to get into Sasuke's pants. That's her defining character trait, and that's how she is written. And you guys think she would be revolutionary hahaha.
5. Sasuke gave a speech on how he wants CHANGE and despite witnessing all this Sakura decided to start screaming how much she loves him and if he stays with her things can go back to the way they were! Literally where do you see this girl care about what Sasuke wants? Even the most simple stuff she doesn't understand. It's spelled out to her and she doesn't listen.
6. Despite Sasuke wanting to travel alone and think about things, Sakura chased after him because she was thirsty. And no amount of either rude or polite rejections will stop her.
7. Sasuke made it very clear it's only Naruto he cares about deeply. Sakura won't affect his loneliness.
You can make all headcanons you want how Sasuke would change his opinion of Sakura but Kishimoto wrote him to have a negative opinion of her in the end, and he wrote Sakura as a shallow and selfish person. Sasuke gave her a chance in part 1, but noticed she won't change from her shallow ways. That's why the "you're annoying" keeps coming. Because she is annoying and ignorant and doesn't care what Sasuke tells her. Sasuke is shown to be perceptive countless times in the story, and his judgement of Sakura was correct as well.
P.S. Please don't compare Darcy and Sakura. That's an insult to Darcy and Jane Austen lol.
