“IT LOOKS LIKE YOU . . .”

the blonde boy blinked a few times as he gazed at the photo you sent him of the stray cat you met on your way home. the feline gazed up at your camera in the photo, its eyes the same shade as his, with its fur's hue being a bit similar to that of his dyed hair color.

kenma furrowed his eyebrows a little, trying piece together how this little cat looked like him... he honestly couldn't see it, no way did this cat remind you of him.

kenma chuckles to himself softly as he sees your enthusiastic response, reacting to it with a heart emoji. he then sees that you've sent a video to him, and when he plays it, he hears soft 'psp' noises from you as you hold your hand out to stroke the cat.

the cat seems to glare at you at first and just stares, to which you chuckle softly and offer it some of your sandwich. the cat slowly walks over to you, nibbling on the sandwich, and you chuckle again a little more audibly.

"is this a sign i should feed you like this, ken?" you ask him in the video amidst your gleeful chuckles, which makes kenma smile even wider, his cheeks feeling warm at the idea of you feeding him like you did with the cat.

"...i wouldn't mind." he replies with a small ':))' emoticon.

summer heat.

・:〃➜ with how hot the summer is getting, your favorite boys need some way to cool down and relax . . . preferably with you by their side.

ᯓᡣ𐭩 ft. HAIKYUU BOYS – kenma, hinata, and suna.

KENMA.

it doesn't take long for kenma to start heaving, panting, and sweating underneath the heat of the deadly hot rays of the sun. he doesn't think he can last 5 more minutes under the sun with how hot the summer's been, even under the shade of the cute cat-themed parasol you bought for the two of you at the beach, this boy is still sweating an awful lot, reaching for your somehow cool, pool of melted ice for a cooler, for a pack of apple juice.

"is there... any more left..." your pudding haired boyfriend heaved with a raspy voice, clenching to the crumpled, empty plastic juice packet. you look into the box full of melted ice and wince as you break the news to him that he just drank his last apple juice box. the poor boy whimpers silently as he feels the sweat pool on the back of his shirt, and since you felt bad, you got up and dusted the sand off your lap, your hand extended out to him as the heat starts to get to him.

"a swim...?" he meekly repeats after you, his cheeks flushing with warmth rushing to his face, either from embarrassment or from the intense heat of the sun. you nod as you wait for his answer, with him taking your hand weakly, slowly pulling you closer to him with a smile. "...alright, alright, i'll take a dip in the water... but just a few minutes of cuddles...?" he pleads, his golden almond eyes begging for you to hold him to keep him from falling apart from the sheer ruthlessness of the heat.

HINATA.

hinata isn't usually one to complain about the weather, but with the rise of the past week's temperature, he's been pretty much exhausted every time he goes out; and it's a big bummer, because he so badly wants to take you out on a date and enjoy some sceneries together, go to the beach, have a nice dinner with you... but the heat makes you both too lazy to get out of the house.

he can't emphasize to you how much he wants to go out with you, while being in front of the fan, sweating a storm. you try to reassure him and tell him you two don't have to go out to enjoy each other's company, but your little tangerine wants the best date for you after being abroad for a long while and having to focus on his volleyball career and training months prior.

while your sunshine sulks about not being able to take you out, you scoop up a couple of bowls of ice cream for the two of you, handing one of the bowls to him. you explain to him that, even though you also want to go out with him, you don't need all those fancy outings to be happy with him–you're more than happy sharing some ice cream with him on a hot day.

you have no idea just how happy you made him, because it was like the clouds parted from the sun, and the room got five times warmer with the growth of his shining smile. "y-yeah! i guess i feel the same way too... i mean, all i want is to make you happy, the where doesn't really matter, all that matters to me is your happiness, love." he beams, and though you try to warn him his ice cream will melt, he doesn't mind, because his ice cream will stay sweet no matter how melty it'll get; for now, all he wants to focus on is you and how adorable you look eating up your ice cream... maybe hoping to feed you some on your spoon.

SUNA.

your boyfriend suna is usually calm, cool, and collected; making it hard for you to know what it is he wants or is feeling. but the nasty highs the temperature outside is reaching brings out the hidden character of your usually composed boyfriend, though in a manner you wouldn't expect.

it's a no-brainer that the heat can make someone a bit lazy to move their body to get things done, and your boy understands that too much, that he wants you to give yourself a break and cool off for a little bit from your chores at home and suffer from the intense heat.

and how would he get you to do that? by offering the perfect at home date between you two in your room–with a tv show to binge, a closet full of snacks, a minifridge full of cool drinks, and the AC on blast with him and your pillows and stuffed animals waiting for you.

"hey, um..." he calls out to you in his gravelly voice, gently grabbing your wrist, pulling you closer to him. his pale green eyes gazing at you, with neediness in those orbs of his. "i turned on the AC, and since, y'know, that recent show you've wanted to binge just released all episodes available, and the snack bar we have in our room is stacked up... why not take a break from the chores and just chill out with me, babe?" and how could you say no to his desperate pleading face?

he loves the way you show him how much you adore him.

when you gave him permission to look through the sketchbook he got you that you were almost done filling up with sketches and drawings, you felt a little insecure of what he might find in all those pages... and what he'd say in response.

as he flipped through the pages, while you turned away from him or covered your eyes, or did both as he murmured to himself, chuckled to himself at how adorable your little doodles were, he just had one question in mind: "why does it look like i'm your muse in every one of these sketches?"

when he turned to face you to ask you this, you blurted out that was how you wanted him to know you loved him. art was your forte, after all, it was what made sense to you the most–it was how you felt freest expressing yourself. and you couldn't find a better way to express how beautiful and gorgeous he appeared except through the skill of your pencil and hands.

you had a habit of portraying him and capturing moments of him in the most mundane scenarios–him practicing his tosses, spiking, tying his shoes, eating food, sleeping–but these moments were so intimate to you that you felt compelled to mix how you saw him with the image of him.

you saw him as beautiful, and you wanted to eternalize his beauty through the pages of your sketchbook; that was how you loved him, and he couldn't love you any more than he could now. a smile stretched across his face, and a twinkle danced in his eyes as he listened to you, watched you get flustered as you explained why he was all you could portray and draw.

he couldn't wish for anyone else to love him, because to him, to be immortalized by someone so talented and loving that they know just how to make even your worst moments look breathtaking... it makes him want to do everything to love you even a fraction of how you love him.

in which oikawa discovers his new favorite bakery... and new favorite person.

"well, isn't this quaint..."

whispered the chocolate haired man as he entered the new bakery that opened down the block that was across his apartment. he had heard many good things about this bakery, from its interior and exterior designs, to the scents of the freshly baked goods to the aromas of the hot brews, to the sweet and kind demeanor of the staff on its opening week.

oikawa wasn't too hard to impress when it came to pastries, they were always his guilty pleasure, if he was being honest. he smiled to himself as he admired the interior, and to his surprise, not many people were around today. well, this was good for him, because then his fans wouldn't be around to snoop around and catch him eating here and ruin his day out.

as he scanned the display case full of the pastries that the bakery had to offer, you noticed him checking out the pastries on display, and with a smile, you asked him if he'd be interested in your best seller: a slice of your bakery's special red velvet cheesecake.

he looked over at you and thought two things: wow, you're gorgeous; and, red velvet cheesecake... he's never had that before. he decided to put on his confident face and smirked at you, gazing at you adoringly. "sure, that'd be nice." he responded, grinning at you in an effort to appear more charming than usual.

you nodded, unfazed by how charming he tried to appear, making oikawa feel slightly surprises at how his charms were ineffective towards you... but hey, you were just doing your job, oikawa could respect your professionalism–it did make him appreciate you more.

after he received his order of your bakery's special red velvet cheesecake, he couldn't help but notice you standing by a little, a slightly fidgety look in your face and demeanor. he raised an eyebrow slightly, smiling. "what's wrong?" he asked you, making you shift a little more. "ah, i just... wanna know if you'd like it. it's not often we get olympic players to come visit our bakery..." you admitted bashfully, right when oikawa didn't think you could get any cuter.

he chuckled softly to himself and decided to entertain you, taking a bite of the red velvet cheesecake, and...

"...this is too good." he whispered, about to take another bite. he was genuinely blown away by how good it tasted, especially with it being his first taste of red velvet cheesecake, you have set the standard high for him for future red velvet cheesecakes for him.

in a few minutes, he scarfed the whole thing down, impressing you as much as he was impressed by how wonderful it tasted. you smiled softly, glad by how much oikawa enjoyed it. "i take it you enjoyed it, mr. oikawa?" you asked him with a gleeful smile. he reciprocated your smile and nodded. "it was the best pastry i've had... and i feel like you being here makes it all sweeter for me." he teased, and though he sounded flirty, he really meant every word he uttered; the slight pink hue on his cheeks reinforced how he really felt towards you, and it showed.

your boyfriend asks you in a sultry tone, a sly smirk across his provocative face as his golden eyes glance down at you and the strings of words bunched up into paragraphs of him doting on you like you were his sweetheart.

though the difference between you and the reader was that, quite certainly, you were his sweetheart–and atsumu wasn't sure if that made things sadder or more amusing to him.

"dearest, why you gotta indulge yourself in these made-up scenarios of me lovin' ya when i'm finally home for the month and can love ya all break long?" he asked you in a teasing voice that made you squirm just a little bit, and a heat rush to your face as you furrowed your eyebrows at him, scouring your mind for an explanation, while your mouth blabbered stammered excuses over the other in a flustered attempt to hide your shame.

these little gestures of yours were too cute for atsumu to handle, and the blonde erupted in chuckles as he leaned closer to you, his nose brushing against the skin of your cheek. "my lover... don't be ashamed to miss me. you've got all the right ta do so, and dare i say... i'm kinda overdue for lovin' ya the way you deserve." he murmured in your ear, kissing the shell of your ear, making you squeak in surprise; eliciting another low chuckle from the man.

"now that's my sweetheart... c'mere, lemme make all yer dreams come true tonight."
