DVI output adapter for RP2350 Feather HSTX port 🔌🖥️💡

The RP2350 Feather has an FPC output connector for accessing the HSTX - high-speed transmission - peripheral. This lets us drive DVI displays really easily! Today, we got the prototype PCBs for our HSTX to DVI adapter board; after connecting up a 22-pin FPC cable, we can test out DVI driving via CircuitPython. With HSTX, we don't need to overclock or use PIO, and there's a lot more RAM on the RP2350, so we can easily do 320x240 with 16-bit color and have plenty of SRAM left over. It would be neat if we could do DVI from the PSRAM as a framebuffer at some point for really big displays!

We are all influenced by each other aren't we? This wall reminds me of a hotel we stayed in during a Berlin trip. This #countertop reminds me of a local stylist - I think she was putting down a #terrazzo floor. The rug I picked up in Atlanta propping for @Target - it was antique heaven. // #Largeformattile - it's a thing right now and here we alternated the sizing to give this a more American appeal. I did imagine this to be an apartment somewhere and even let my mind wander to East Berlin. The Pinks and crisp Whites brought in brought me back to Scandinavia. // The #cabinetry was a simple order from @m_and_j_woodcrafts We measured and ordered and they arrived. Metro RP2350 is wrappin' up testing ✨🐢

This week we got our Metro RP2350 boards

back and after fixing the pin direction and rerouting

the whole thing, it came up and pretty much works perfectly! Just one component needed a swap - we were able to test all GPIO, analog inputs, MicroSD slot, PSRAM, LEDs & NeoPixel, user button, I2C/SPI/UART, aaand power supplies. The 5V supply is great, we got a nice clean 5V out at 2A+ from 12V DC in. The last thing to check is the HSTX port, which gives us DVI access, and it works, thanks to this festive turtle demo!

We're aiming to get this into the shop before the end of the year, wouldn't that be smashing?
