im so glad someone else has mentioned how worthless nendos feel nowadays....why are they so expensive now

truly it's a massive disappointment for me despite owning hardly any... just to watch the VISIBLE decline in quality and care from gs is massively disheartening. like even back in 2021/2022 when the twisted wonderland nendos were actively releasing it seems detail level and quality was much better....but now as prices go up it seems any time there's a nendoroid announcement you can never go in expecting much at all. half the time when i order or buy nendos now it feels like i'm using it as a stand in for a scale figure and most of the time i am!!! i bought the rin and len symphony nendoroids but the second there's a scale announced or a prepainted made of something like this garage kit i'm probably going to sell them! it's massively stupid and because of the box design changes i'm considering cancelling the 2 i have on order lol. prices of all figures have skyrocketed massively post pandemic but to see people still buying nendoroids after the drop in quality and jump in prices baffles me. idk how they excuse it

i just realized.... now with dunmesh getting an anime and some traction and that some figures have been popping up (granted most are by goodsmile and only so far its been about 1 marcille scale) does that mean that a marcille and falin bstyle will inevitably happen.... 🤔

This time of year as the days get shorter always reminds me of a location shoot in Chicago. We scouted several locations and this one happened on a porch in historic Oak Park. // It was dark because this porch was completely covered in a Prairie style home built at the end of the 1800s. on one hand collector brain has lead me to places i wouldn't even go with a gun but on the other hand. haruhi suzumiya is one of those series i collect and since next to no one actually gives a shit abt it anymore the prices are dirt cheap (it's how i get my 2000s anime aesthetic figure fix without getting into bidding wars on yja over love ward miku or spending $500usd on mayura) but also the association with haruhi figures = dirt cheap has skewed my perception of them exponentially . earlier today i found myself thinking '$60? that's insane' over a fucking freeing bstyle . now ik most of you babes either aren't figure collectors or aren't as into it as i am but freeing bstyles are fucking massive, widely sought after, and regularly go for $300-$400 . i have spent almost 4x the price of the $60 bstyle on a 1/8 scale . i regularly spend that much on figures. a bstyle going for a price in the double digits is fucking insane and near unheard of . where the hell was this sense of restraint when we were spending twice that amount on sets of kuroshitsuji trading figures a couple weeks ago
