“Mysterious strangers were seen to come and go in many worlds” – fables about the Stars by Adrian Specer Smith
Cosmic Corsairs
The Cosmic Corsairs is a sub-faction of The Nameless. They follow the Path of The Trailblaze even after the fall of Akivili.
After the fall of their Aeon, a group of Loyal Nameless attempted to continue THEIR Legacy. However, due to the spread of the Cancer Of All Worlds (stellarons) the star rails that the Express runs on deteriorated. The Express fell into despair and crashed onto an unnamed planet, causing the Nameless to abandon it.
But The Nameless were known for their perseverance; Although they didn't try to fix The Astral Express due to the false belief that it was powered by their Aeon’s heart, they decided to build a new vessel (The Ship), one unbound by the silver rails Akivili had once built, that can Trailblaze further than their forefathers had once did while being lead by the Aeon
The Corsairs’ goal is to reach the unreachable and help those in need on the way. Although their ideals are similar to their current Express counterparts, they are given a bad reputation as “Uncivilised Pirates" due to their unwillingness to submit to authority, and unlawful methods of achieving their plans.
The current cruisers of the ship are either new recruits, or long descendants of the original Nameless, either way they're determined to follow the path to its end.
KNOWN MEMBERS:
"not much of a talker..."
NAME: Caspian
ORIGINS: the son of the original voyagers, was given the captain's coat after the previous one stepped down due to his diligence and trailblazing spirit
PATH: The trailblaze
WEAPON: Cutlass sword
"such an annoying and crass bird..!"
NAME: Varun
ORIGINS: unknown, some say similar looking birds were seen accompanying previous captains since the day the ship was created, but Caspian claims that he had never seen him before the day he got assigned captain, and that the previous captain's pet parrot looked and acted completely different
ABILITIES: is known to read Caspian's thoughts out loud, in an unintelligible pirate dialect. its important to note that not every thought he voices is Caspian's, and that he also has his own unfiltered line of thinking
"Those eyes.."
NAME: karina
Origins: A Sigonian. came to the ship to look for someone, lost hope. that's all she's willing to tell you
PATH: allegedly, The Trailblaze
WEAPON: duel gun

General Self-Aware HSR Headcanons/Guidelines(? Is that the word I’m looking for?)
~~~
Notes — I’m not coming back, YET. I still need to see a few things before I came back.
~~~
Reader is referred as ‘The Omni Aeon’ or ‘The Voidborne Sovereign/Arbiter” ORRR “creator/lord/Their, Your Grace”
I believe if hsr WERRE self aware, it’s highly likely that the ‘normal’ au for this au is that it’d be a cult au.
There’s already different factions that worship/follow in the paths of already existing aeons. So if reader was… well GOD, then I believe everyone would be in this unspoken cult organization.
Along with this unspoken cult, there’s unspoken guidelines. Just to list a few;
Any blasphemy of any degree is punishable by fates worse than death. (Newly added, their grace is okay with jokes)
You will be disowned by everyone, weather they be family, friends, jobs, factions, or aeons. You’re now an utter nobody and a blight that must be punished.
The Voidborne Sovereign must have statues on every conceivable planet, and be worshiped three times a day, no matter your business, condition, or whereabouts.
No violence or outburst will be allowed within 30 feet of The Voidborne’s Statue.
Unless the creator themselves give you permission, NO. ONE. Is allowed to call their grace by their real name.
Every faction have different ideas about you, but at the same time they all have the same belief of you.
The only mortals who’re able to follow your path are the emulators of aeons. (Acheron, Herta/Stephen, Feixiao) and the aeons themselves, but only with your permission.
Every planet has a building for you along with servants trained from birth. In belabog, they just give you the Qlipoth Fort. The Xianzhou managed to build a whole ship for you. And Penacony… well I honestly don’t know.
The reader has the following powers;
Omni-Manipulation
Absolute Creation and Destruction
Future-Past-Present Seeing,
Knowledge and Power Gifting/Revoking
Omniscience/Omnipotence
Complete Arsenal
In short. Everything.
Story wise, reader SHOULD NOT, gain these powers immediately. He should have a peak superhuman physicality, along with the same amount of martial arts training/experience of a 1,000 year old. Along with manipulating Either the imaginary or Quantum element at first.
The aeons would put aside all their differences if you so order them to. Nanook should be slightly rebellious and, if someone wants, he should be the main villain in a Self aware HSR x Reader story.
Reader should have a backstory. I’m talking about what happened BEFORE they made the HSR universe. I’m a fan of the reader being in a universe where there was ONE planet with a corrupt ‘god’.
I’m pretty sure I already posted a story of this back story. If you want to read it click here. RIIGHT HEEEEEERRE
Everyone in the galaxy has multiple books/fanfics about you written by some mysterious author. despite this, NO ONE is shameful enough to admit they have fanfics of you.
They’re are absolutely debates about how good you are in bed, along this other stuff.
-That’s all I got right now, sorry. SEE YAA-

Lifesteal HSR AU Doodles be upon yee
More information at the bottom
Minute is a "Stellaron Hunter" but he isn't as dedicated— he only is a part of them for his own gain
Ash & Spoke both looked into the void and became members of Device IX. The difference is that Ash suffered the worse while Spoke was blessed by IX
Vitalasy didn't mean to look into the void, he just made a bad turn in information hunting that IX just picked him as another member of Device IX
Rekrap is a member of the IPC after the world he lived on was "fixed" by them, and he started working under the corporation, thinking he owes a debt to them
Zam is a crazed Masked Fool (think Sparkle, but a little tame) who is one of few MF who doesn't wish to strive for full insanity to the Elation, but in the end he ended up going mad himself
Leo is one of the Cremators, where he along with Red deal with removing useless memories— the main difference is that Leo doesn't care much about these memories, nor is he a huge fan of the Memokeepers, thinking they are lunatics
Parrot is a self-proclaimed "Galaxy Ranger" but in reality, he has no faction to return to nor a planet he can call home, hence why he made up this facade of being a part of the faction

Greetings fellow Billy Enjoyer~ I wanted to say that I love your long essays collecting the little bits and pieces of information we got on our Billy bOi :D
Majority of my friends play HSR or Genshin and my friends who do play ZZZ are usually guys who are more after the ladies (and Lycaon but I'm not surprised XD) so I don't usually get the chance to fan girl about my bOi Billy 😭
We are being fed literal CRUMBS about Billy and while I'm glad, I am starving 😭, though I am of the belief that Billy is much MUCH more important than what we are currently led to believe atm, which is why they are giving us crumbs and the occasional nugget of information as of the moment.
I hope to see more of your essays, as I also pray for more Billy fanfics XD
WHY THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!! T_T <3 <3 <3
Well as a woman who is a lesbian but is bi toward fictional men (XD) I am of course in love with Billy. He single-handedly ended my previous obsession with Baldur's Gate 3 and I seriously have played non stop since august with ZZZ, though that now I have used everything for pulls I am left starving for trying to maybe get Caesar, and I hope to be so freaking lucky for when Miyabi will come.
Rest assured I will continue fangirling about Billy and will make it everyone else's problem on this site. XD
Honestly I find Lycaon just ok, like sorry but after meeting Billy like Lycaon seems to just not look as alive as Billy because Billy is so dynamic as a character that some just don't feel to have the same energy as him, and the guy is a robot yet he feels more human and alive than some people I know. Extra ironic about Lycaon I don't have him but I got his W-engine yesterday when trying to get Caesar so I'm like "but I don't even have you what the ehll do you want me to do with your w-engine???"
Yeah we are fed, also found more background on him while doing a commission in the Outer Ring yesterday, I'll post that later today once I'm back from work. ^^ I mean dude is a freaking android made of lost technology and it seems nobody cares, or well the ones that do are people looking to dismantle him or sell him or use him as a weapon.
I am still legit miffed that he doesn't have an Agent Story yet, maybe one day all agents will have one, hopefully, maybe.
Currently I am running after Caesar because she just casually drops info on Billy that I need so bad and either my character doesn't press further or seems to want to diss him and I'm banging my head on my wall to make the game stop insulting my boy. I legit wish now that I played as Wise instead of Belle a bit but on PS5 I tried everything and I can't switch to Wise when walking around, dunno if that comes later with the last part of Cheesetopia or if it's gonna be with Burnice.
Oh worry not essays and headcanons are coming, just that they take over an hour to write. XD But I don't have school or homework, just work because I'm 30 years old and said work doesn't requires me to bring anything work related back at home at all so I can just unwind and write my ramblings and observations and just me fangirling. XD
Now I'm currently trying to get everyone leveled up to level 60, and so far Billy is the most leveled up at level 47 because I legit used all the things I had to level up Jane, Seth, Lucy and Piper, my dude Anton is only at level 20 and I don't need Koleda so she's staying at level 1 (legit miffed to have gotten her instead of Nekomata I wanted the entire Cunning Hares faction dammit!)
Did some other pulls yesterday, gave me 1 Piper and 1 Anby. So currently I have Billy M2, Seth M2, Anton M2, Anby M5, Nicole M1, Ben M0, Jane M0, Lucy M1, Piper M1, Corin M4, Soukaku M6. I also got Piper's engine twice.
Also bought Amillion because I kind of legit did pretty much everything with Billy, Nicole and Anby so. XD
I also have tons of headcanons about Billy... that keep changing each time we get new info on him because it pretty much destroys what I mentally pictured so I have to adjust and I'm even more motivated after that. XD
Feel free to come chatting more about Billy. Love Billy squad unite. I'll answer once I'm home and can finally get in front of my computer.

PENACONY'S DARLING. aka Shi Qingxuan's HSR verse.
Windmaster is a strange title, but one that accompanies Shi Qingxuan often, though he usually laughs it off as a relic of an old joke. A flighty, spirited kind of individual who has come to settle within the sanctuary of Penacony's Golden Hour. There is no mention of a former life and instead he only indulges in the show of the world, changing his gender presentation on a whim, moulding himself into his ideal visage within the memoria-fuelled existence. Should one delve deeper, one might find that this younger brother is in hiding, left here by his elder to protect him after an encounter with The Antimatter Legion went horribly wrong.
GENERAL TRIVIA:
Element: Wind (obviously), Path: Harmony, Weapon: Fan Faction / Alignments: In terms of this I'm leaning more towards The Mirror Holders but I need to cook on this a little first.
can often be found centre stage, occasionally with Robin as company, taking advantage of the show. Does not mind being the centre of gossip, in fact rather enjoys what word can be created.
often flits between male and female form within the dream and is unapologetic about it. Tends to take great pleasure in watching others connect the dots and cares little for their opinions if they are unsavory.
Three words to describe at first glance: indulgent, impulsive and carefree. Longer in his company might reveal a little more though.
Cheerful even in bad circumstances but terribly prone to rambling nonsense when he himself is under pressure. Will walk dressing rooms or pace streets muttering to himself, though tries to stay away from attention.
If awoken is a poor replica of the character within the dream. The only thing that remains is his bright eyes. His arm and leg are badly damaged and he is rather more subdued, seemingly distant, like the spark's been drawn right out though if directly conversed with he makes efforts to bring it back.
#muses. [ shi qingxuan. ]#source. [ t.gcf. ]#source. [ h.sr xover. ]#( i keep thinking about him being a menace in the dream and hanging out with aven's robin so i'm dropping this as a proper verse )

HSR Penacony 2.3 Thoughts
2.3 was great! I enjoyed every bit of it, though I'm a little sad that our adventure in Penacony is now over (or, is it?). I shall miss the planet of festivities, especially the cute little Origami Birds
Needless to say, this Stelfly/Stellaron Hunters fan is satisfied~! Omg. You guys don't know how excited I got when I saw Silver Wolf on screen (even if she did appear as a hologram), and I got even super duper excited when I saw that Silver Wolf was the one who hired Sparkle in the first place! Our little Wolfie is such a cute Tsundere 💕
Speaking of Silver Wolf, I was honestly caught off guard that she even got in contact with Sparkle, who's a Masked Fool. During the Aetherium Wars event, Silver Wolf sounded like she didn't even trust the faction whatsoever. That nothing good ever happens for trusting a Fool. And I'm only saying that cause I believe Silver Wolf's definition of entertainment will not be the same as a Masked Fools', at least that's the vibe I got when she talked about them, but I guess after chatting with Sparkle through a video game was enough to convince her that Sparkle can be trusted enough to ensure Firefly's safety (again, my opinion)
It was so heartwarming to find out how close the Stellaron Hunters are as a team. I laughed out loud when I got the Save the Cat! Achievement when I put them on a team together. At this point in the game, I'm entirely convinced that Elio is indeed the black cat
And while I am happy for what we got for 2.3, I also can't help but feel a little uneasy about it all. Not only was this update shorter than 2.0-2.2, but for me it also felt like everything went too smoothly, you know? The impression I got for the 2.3 trailer felt like everything was going to be stakes, after high stakes since we're literally at the end. And the theory I've seen about that we're still (yes, still) stuck in the dreamscape made me feel even more uneasy about everything. And while we did say our goodbyes and all, I was somewhat bothered that we didn't even get to say goodbye to Robin and Firefly. You'd think we would after everything we went through together in Penacony
Like, okay, I guess you could say that we did say goodbye to the two of them during the Bird Clash event, but you would think that maybe they could've had us say a proper goodbye with voice lines and stuff in the main story. Especially with Firefly, cause it's definitely going to be a while before we see her again. And, unfortunately, it obviously won't be in her real form since she depends on the SAM suit in reality. I guess it's too much to ask Hoyoverse to do a Stelfly tender hug goodbye. Just saying. Don't know about y'all, but Firefly needs a hug. Robin too, especially after everything she's been through
Anyways~ Back on on track. I guess that the other thing that bothered me a little was the meeting between Mr. Oti and the IPC. Now, let me be clear, I AM NOT a business woman and I don't really understand anything concerning proper business etiquette. Even so, I will try my best to get this thought written out as best as I can
Mr. Oti, Jade and Topaz sit down, they exchange pleasantries and relatively discuss the future of Penacony. Jade, of course, mentions about Aventurine's mistreatment during his stay in Penacony (I knew it, I knew she was going to do that) to get a word in edge wise. Oti was pretty much dismissive about it, especially since he didn't deal with Aventurine personally and mentions that Sunday was just a fool for what he has done. How dare. And then he began to tell them about his future plan for Penacony. Jade, surprisingly, goes quiet (her small smile was even gone) and suddenly decided to have an intermission so she and Topaz step out
Here's where the "fun" starts ("fun", as in, I am still trying to figure out what the heck Jade and Robin talked about! And this bothered me even more during the Bird Clash Event)
Some theories think that Robin sacrificed her memories concerning Sunday. Which, okay, it makes sense considering that Robin does consider Sunday to be her precious older brother and memories involving him would be considered precious enough for Jade to claim in a contract. And since we already saw firsthand how Jade's contracts work... That would suck for our chicken wing siblings. - while this could indeed be possible, I really hope that did not happen
Another take I saw is that Robin purposely distanced herself from everyone in exchange for Sunday's freedom, which would explain why she decides to leave Penacony and just travel for a while. On one part, I don't blame the poor girl cause she really needs to take a step back and just focus on herself for a little while. On the other... I also hope that is not the case cause this is just sad 😭
Now, my opinion starts: I believe that when Jade and Topaz had stepped out from the meeting to discuss a plan B for their approach that it was all just a simple exchange for information. While Topaz went to find Himeko, Jade decided to find and say hello to Robin. It's pretty clear that the two of them have already met/talked. When Jade asks for Robin's opinion of Mr. Oti, Robin responds that Oti is a respected business man, but she doesn't really know him as a person. She only knows what she knows thanks to Sunday. Moreover, I believe that the main reason why Robin referred to Sunday as the previous Oak Family head during this scene is because she's in public. Remember: Sunday is now arrested, Sunday's name is pretty much taboo within the Family. I would not be surprised if she's not even allowed to mention her brother's name
I'd like to believe that Robin, who's an insider of the Family, willingly gave away crucial inside information that an outsider like Jade wasn't supposed to know. Death is now a possibility in the dreamscape, which would be bad for Penacony in terms of business if people were to find out about it. And, honestly, this part made me chuckle. It's only fitting considering the Family absolutely had no problem throwing Sunday under the bus, so it's only right that Robin, his sister, would also have no problem throwing the Family under the bus too by, literally, giving them the bird (hehe)
This info was the bit that Jade needed and was looking for to have the meeting be in her/the IPC's favor. Not long after, Robin tells her to not forget what they had talked about and Jade promises that she'll keep her end of the deal. To me, this part was pretty much a "I'll scratch your back, and you'll scratch mine" type of deal. And we pretty much know how the meeting concluded after that, and old man Oti did not look happy about it since he had no choice but to yield and go with Jade's proposal. He also wasn't happy when Robin gave away the Feldspar, his own extravagant ship, to the Nameless without his say so on the matter. A pretty bold move on her part
But yeah, I'd like to believe that that was essentially their contract. Exchanging crucial info in exchange for Sunday's freedom. And if not freedom, then to maybe have Jade help out Sunday with some kind of plea deal to lighten his sentence
At this point, I don't know what to think anymore. I know that this is probably wishful thinking on my part for assuming that their deal would be that simple, but a girl can dream, right? I mean, if you think about it, I don't think Jade would've known about death being a possibility in the dreamscape otherwise if not through Robin. Aventurine doesn't count cause he pretty much stepped out story wise after being "killed" by Acheron, so he wouldn't know what happened in the Grand Theater
If not that, then my other thought was that Robin pulled A Little Mermaid. She sacrificed her singing voice, ironic considering Sunday had taken it away without her knowledge. Only difference this time is that it was her choice to do so. And it would explain why she decided to step down from the spotlight and go traveling by herself. This is only a possibility at best, but we also have to consider that she may have been lying to the trailblazer so that they wouldn't worry
And that's about it, really. Honestly, ever since I first saw Sunday and Robin on screen for the first time, they really reminded me of Lelouch and Euphemia/Nunnally from Code Geass
Lelouch for Sunday - trying to ensure a better world for everyone, namely his sister, and would pretty much stop at nothing to achieve his goal. And at this point in the story, he's definitely giving me Aventurine 2.0 vibes (as in, he's in prison and now has an opportunity to get out of his current predicament)
Admittedly, it would be interesting to see him as an IPC grunt than a Stellaron Hunter. Maybe he'll destroy the IPC from the inside through his own means, or perhaps Diamond can offer him something to fill the void as a potential member of the Ten Stonehearts. That'd be cool. And if he does join the IPC, the next time Sunday visits Penacony, the Family will literally be at his mercy for throwing him under the bus! Chicken wing boy shall have his revenge!
As a Stellaron Hunter, I don't think he'd handle taking orders from a cat well (no matter how hilarious it would seem). Not to mention, having his fate orchastrated by someone else doesn't seem like his style. Again, if Hoyoverse goes through with it, fine. I'll accept it for what it is. In the meantime, something tells me that he will take Jade's deal and work for her/the IPC, and only because Jade mentioned someone precious: Robin. If Jade hadn't mentioned her, Sunday probably would've tuned her out completely and would rather take his chances in trial
For Robin - She really reminds me of Euphemia more so than Nunnally tbh. I merely mentioned Nunnally due to the old injury that Robin has on her neck (point is they were injured). That, and of course they're both little sisters. Euphemia too, but I'm mostly referring to her via appearance and mannerisms. Robin's a super nice/innocent character with pure intentions and cares about the people around her. And because of that she reminded me of Euphemia whenever she appeared on screen
I'm sorry, but I had to mention/ramble about that. Those of you that have seen Code Geass might agree with me with those similarities
Anyways~ that's pretty much it for my ramble. With how happy-go-lucky 2.3 was, I was a tad disappointed that we didn't get any Robinhill crumbs... Since Boothill was at the bar with hologram Aventurine, I was half expecting Robin to do her singing performance and maybe Boothill would've been like, "Holy forkoroni. I just died and went to heaven..." Or something among those lines for when he laid eyes on Robin's angelic beauty. No? Just me? Okay lol
But yeah, I feel like Penacony is not quite finished yet. And I'm only saying that cause I stumbled upon this while I was doing the sticker thing on our handbook...
Does this mean anything? Idk. It's just something I noticed a few days ago. If I remember correctly, the lady that tended to us at the front desk said that this handbook will only be relevant to us while we're in Penacony. If so, then I guess there's a bit more in store for us. If not, that's fine too.
But if that theory about that we're still stuck in the dreamscape is true... Oh boy. I can somewhat see it, if only because the Trailblazer is sensitive to Memoria. Something that Black Swan, Acheron, and even Firefly (I think) has mentioned throughout the story. Maybe everybody else woke up, but the Trailblazer is still in deep slumber. Just something to ponder (if only a little)
We'll see what happens on the next update. I might be wrong on some things, but I wanted to put my thoughts out there. Feel free to let me know what you guys think. I hope that everyone who wanted Firefly are happy Firefly havers. I know I am~! Currently trying to see if I can get her to E2 before her banner is over. Wish me luck! :3
Good luck on your pulls everyone~! And thank you for reading!

The more I think about it, the more convinced I am that an Eden expy would be perfect for HSR.
Beauty... What is your definition of beauty? Did you have it? Did the old me have it?
TL;DR: Eden's a HI3rd character with themes/motifs around music, beauty, elegance, and so on. I think it would be cool to see an Eden expy in Honkai: Star Rail :)
Slightly longer TL;DR: Eden is a character whose story revolves around the meaning of beauty in an ugly world, a world in which terrible things happen to good people, in which the greatest and bravest heroes of humanity fail to save the day. In spite of this, even as the last cities of Earth crumbled to dust, Eden still held steadfast on her belief, and she had faith that even though her era is now fading away, the new era of humanity would "script their own fate and sing their own songs."
So I've seen a fair bit of discussion about expys on the HSR subreddit from time to time, and I figured I'd have a go at this with my own post discussing a pre-existing Hoyoverse character I'd like to see in HSR someday!
This post is mostly aimed at an HSR audience so I've written it in a way that should be understandable even without any prior knowledge of HI3rd, but fellow HI3rd peeps might enjoy it too :)
The thought of this came to me when I was playing HI3rd earlier, because when I was looking at Eden's signature weapon, I was thinking "wow, I forgot how beautiful that was" and then it hit me- one of Eden's core themes as a character is Beauty, making her a perfect candidate to be a future Pathstrider of the Path of Beauty! Whether part of the Knights of Beauty or part of a different faction or even walking this path on her own.
There's going to be some light spoilers for HI3rd's story, but nothing that spoils major story beats. Eden is a character from the Previous Era, meaning most of her story takes place in the form of archives and records of the past. This post is pretty much all backstory, and I won't discuss any important "secrets of the past" meaning any big plot twists should remain unspoiled.
So if you're ambivalent or unconcerned about HI3rd spoilers, I'd say it should be okay to proceed, but if you want to play it safe then you should probably return to this post later. All of this is lore from the Elysian Realm, so if you're already familiar with that then there won't be any spoilers at all :)
That being said, this post does contain some pretty heavy content. Nothing particularly graphic or violent, but there is discussion of death and trauma so please keep this in mind!
Some quick context, to start with:
HI3rd's story takes place on Earth, and in this setting there have been multiple "past eras". Over the course of a civilization's development, powerful apocalyptic beings called "Herrschers" appear and wreck havoc upon the world. When the final Herrscher, the Herrscher of Finality*, descends upon the Earth it removes all trace of the current existing civilization... or whatever remains of it. Over the course of 50,000 years a new civilization develops in its place until someday Finality returns once more and the samsara repeats.
Eden is a character belonging to the Previous Era (PE), which is the civilization immediately preceding the Current Era (CE), which is the present-day setting of HI3rd.
*disclaimer: this Finality is not related to the Path of Finality. It's a matter of translation, since the original text uses different characters.
Eden was living a pretty great life- she was a superstar and she was filthy rich, with global tours and widespread fame. In fact, several of the other major characters of the Previous Era (such as Kevin and Su) were fans of her music! Singing, playing instruments, she could do it all. Naturally, she was a fervent supporter of the arts.
Despite this, Eden was still living a "normal" life- a life in which she was blissfully unaware of the looming threat of Honkai. She became painfully aware of it when disaster struck during a concert of hers in Sydney (the PE version of it, of course). During this concert but elsewhere in the city, the 7th Herrscher awoke: the Herrscher of Fire. Almost immediately the entire city was engulfed in raging fires. According to some sources, even the entire continent of Australia was destroyed, but this may have been retconned so take it with a grain of salt.
Eden was (un)fortunate enough to survive this disaster, being saved by one of the former Fire MOTH soldiers that was under the leadership of the person that became the Herrscher of Fire. Though Eden survived and still retained her public image and wealth, there was no returning to her past life. She ended up learning about the organization Fire MOTH, humanity's leading force fighting against the threat of Honkai. While she kept her usual public image, she would also use her wealth to help support MOTH.
The past is no more, but I can still remember this moment. This is what I can do right now.
Over time Eden grew to become a more active member of MOTH, until someday even she would end becoming a soldier herself. She witnessed the toll of war as fewer and fewer soldiers returned from battle and as the survivors became increasingly worn and weary. Though many people knew of her music and appreciated it, as the war went on Eden realized even her music had its limits to how much it could help people. Because of this, Eden chose to volunteer for a program that would give her the strength to fight alongside the rest of MOTH.
One of MOTH's many programs to fight Honkai was the MANTIS project: augmenting humans with the DNA of Honkai Beasts, granting them tremendous power. If they survived the Meta-Morph surgery. Eden underwent this program and survived, placing her as part of an elite force with the strength to fight the Herrschers head-on.
Plus she got a sick pair of guns! so that's pretty neat ^.^
Unfortunately, we know how this story ends. We call it the Previous Era precisely because it ended. Even humanity's greatest heroes couldn't stop the crushing power of Finality.
Eden would not live to see the next era of humanity.
With this summarized backstory of Eden in mind, I'd like to share a few archive entries from HI3rd, featuring Eden. I was originally going to try and summarize and discuss these lore entries myself, but I think it'd be best to keep my thoughts to a minimum and provide the full text instead, so anyone reading this can think about it for themselves and come to their own conclusions instead of taking my word as law.
First, we have one of the records discussing the events of the awakening of the 7th Herrscher. Do note that I snipped out a portion of this archive to shorten it and reduce spoilers, so it's not the complete version found in-game.
Another part of Eden's backstory I want to mention is the way Eden interacted with another major member of Fire MOTH, Dr. Mobius.
Mobius is a pretty complicated character, because while she seems to be a straightforward "mad scientist" type of character, there's a lot of nuance to her behavior and attitude. It's difficult to sum it up, but in this case I'll focus on how other people perceive her: very negatively.
Dr. Mobius' work was groundbreaking for genetics and biology, and her projects (including the MANTIS project as well as early versions of Project Stigma) were crucial in fighting Honkai. However, she was incredibly intimidating and her experiments were... questionable, to say the least. Cold and calculating, not someone to inflict needless cruelty but also someone who doesn't let silly little things such as "ethics" get in the way of progress.
Interestingly, Eden is probably one of the few people that was capable of interacting with Dr. Mobius in a positive way. Many people found it difficult to work under the supervision of Dr. Mobius and most would go out of their way to avoid her, but it seems that Eden was not one of them. This scene in particular is a good example of this:
At this point I think Eden's theme of Beauty is quite evident, and I could probably cut the post short here. But there's one final part of Eden's story I'd like to share, and since it's a scene involving Mobius it builds on the previous entry quite neatly. Since I'm going to end the post with this scene, I'll give my final thoughts first!
I don't really think it's worth worrying too much about expys and whatnot, because ultimately the important thing is whether a given character fits the story, not whether they look like a past character. If we get a "HSR Kiana" or an "HSR Kiana", what matters is the way they fit into this setting. The setting of Aeons and Paths, of a diverse set of factions vying for power and influence across the universe, and how the Nameless will cross paths with this character.
But I wanted to make this post anyways because I feel like Eden's story is greatly underappreciated, and since it has such a neat connection with the Path of Beauty.
Eden's theme of "Beauty" is not just about Eden being a beautiful person, nor is about her beautiful music. To me, it's her understanding of humanity and the way that the arts allow us to connect with each other. It's her ability to reach out and connect with a person as cold and calculating as Mobius. It's just as Eden says, "something that makes people happy, guides the way, and sparks hope."
Just something to keep in mind when reading this final archive entry. I've also re-attached the same image from the start of the post, since I think it takes on a much more powerful meaning with this scene in mind.
For those who're curious, the first & last image of the post are a still shot from the credits of the HI3rd animation "Because of You", which is a very beautiful but also spoiler-filled animated short
#honkai star rail#honkai impact 3rd#honkai 3rd#hi3#hsr#honkai eden#long post#text heavy#so... i originally posted this on reddit but it flopped HARD >.>#i spent two hours writing this up y'all T_T#i did NOT go to bed at 2am for this eden propaganda to go unappreciated#so plz don't let me down honkai tumblr x-x#also I have violent thoughts about Eden & Mobius /j /pos#their dynamic is so criminally underrated#I flippin' love how someone so popular and beloved (Eden) is accepting of someone so feared and avoided (Mobius)

Welp after giving at a try after at least 5 years, I have now re-quit HI3rd.
That's about it. I never mentioned it because I was never sure if I'd even continue and sure enough here I am. I started because of the HI3 X HSR thingy, and thought it was a good time to try it out again anyway. If you're curious why I dropped it, under the read more. Time to get all this out of my system.
To put it as shortly and simply as I can, the main issues for me were (and for the love of god this is all in my opinion. With how some more "hardcore" HI3 fans are I feel obligated to remind you of that right now at the top)
Lack of future direction. Nothing to build or farm that I can see, and while there's weapons and stigmatas I did not find how to get them besides gambling. Either way, the next point is why i didn't even bother looking.
Lack of content. Specifically, a lack of any reason to want to build anyone. Allow me to mention my favourite one, Star Rail's progression. In HSR I wanted to build characters to survive the increasing Equilibrium Level. After that, wanted to tackle Simulated Universe, then the endgame modes like MoC PF & the new Apocalyptic Shadow. Even after all that, I just wanna build characters because I want to use their unique kits and play around with them. Clear progression of targets. "I need ST DPS", "I need AoE", "I need Harmony". HI3rd just had trial characters for every story quest, and no real goal outside of spamming the Main Story. Sure there's other modes but the game never even tries to ease you into them, they're just... there. Besides that, there's nothing much to build. Every character you have is ancient so unless you skip straight to Pt 2 story there's no reason to build anyone except maybe the free Herrscher of the Void. Anyways next point.
Story didn't connect. I'm gonna get crucified for these last two points anyway, but to be brief, the only character I was interested in (especially in Ch 9) was Fu Hua. And upon starting the game you are greeted with "You can spend some money and get a Herrscher of Sentience", which you promptly find out is Fu Hua. On top of that the remaining Fu Huas are all mild variations of her basic form. Pretty obvious what happens. Kiana and the rest's story never connected with me, a lot of it just felt like I was missing a chapter between every... well chapter (eg. Bronya talks about Seele in a few parts despite Seele literally never appearing in the story until AFTER these reminiscing mentions are long forgotten). While WuWa suffered from too much exposition, HI3 did the opposite and threw every term and faction at you and never explained any of it. By Ch 9 with That Part, it just felt like anything fucking goes. Yes it was emotional, but on a greater view like... Who cares if a Herrscher is super OP if apparently someone in a really strong Battlesuit can take them out anyway. Why do I care about any stakes if the universe lies in the hands of macguffins. Gives me bad shonen vibes where there's like infinite power scaling.
And finally, the gameplay was mid. Ch 10 - 12 was just... so incredibly slow because the combat was just spamming left click until it finally ended. Punishing Gray Raven was way more fun.
These last 2 in particular suck, because HI3rd fans have been universally praising how good their story and combat is (and often trying to dunk on the other games simultaneously), but really HI3rd had combat only mildly more complex than Genshin, while HSR provides far more interesting teambuilding and progression. ZZZ is far closer to the difficulty I expected from HI3rd. And this is obviously personal preference but I much prefer HSR's story over all the others.
Maybe my expectations were too high thanks to how much the HI3rd loyalists praised it to the moon. But that's that. I tried to stick around but I just... don't have any reason to. The only character I like has no other versions, and out of everyone combat wise I only like Dreamweaver cause her Ult is extremely cool to me.
HI3rd does have 1 advantage, which is it has the flashiest in-game animations of all the Hoyos. But that's the only thing I concede. Anyways that's my ramble over. Sorry HI3rd fans, it just didn't hit right.
I should mention I did not play Part 2. I want to do shit chronologically, but even if Pt 2 is super good, having to skip almost 40 chapters from the 1st chunk "to get to the good part" doesn't exactly sound like a good pitch.

OMG I love Yaoshi and the path of abundance too! I suppose I just have a thing for misunderstood healers
Just in case this is not me shitting on people's favorite xianzhou husbando or waifu, go simp as much you want, go pull for their banners, this is not an attack on any xiaznhou blogs here or blah blah, nor am I saying "Ahhhh all the xianzhou are irredeemable evilz" whatever, but merely an analysis and critique of HSR narrative:
I hate how abundance is treated in HSR so far, I know all factions in HSR are grey but feels like the xianzhou doesnt get called out enough like the IPC does despite the atrocities they committed and there are arguments in the story telling "oh but the followers of abundance did this and that and OH Yaoshi blesssing are ruining planets" "followers of abundance are monsters and abomination anyway so who cares"
Sure you can argue that just a part of the grey narrative, but I have a feeling so far those arguments against Yaoshi and their followers are used to make the xianzhou more palatable to sell the banner and because space china cannot looks bad or else hardcore main land fans and the CCP government will be angry.
I know abundance followers are not perfect, there's no factions in HSR who are morally pure, but the narrative so far is so imbalanced to the point people on reddit thought Yaoshi and their followers are nothing but evil troublemakers who must be weeded out (fuck reddit seriously its full of moronic edgelord with the worst takes)
Also FYI just because the xianzhou are not happy after they got immortality, doesnt mean other yaoshi immortals followers are unhappy with their life or their planet suffering. In fact the food and water became ever replenish and I'll do anything to get that blessing
I'm not saying everyone in the xianzhou are evil no, but the narrative is so imbalanced and they dont get called out enough. Dan Shu diary can be missed and she ended up as a cartoonish villain.
And I legit cringed so bad when Loucha is called 'abomination of yaoshi' despite the fact he is sentient
And when there are condemnation of Xianzhou/Lan actions, its all hidden behind text that you might missed easily. So its kinda like brushed them under a rug???
While the IPC atrocities are showed blatantly with Boothill story
Herta log mentioned a peaceful snake people who are blessed by Yaoshi but Lan KILLED ALL OF THEM just because yaoshi blessed them and this fact is not told directly but hidden behind a text.
Hoyo write themselves into a corner with the xianzhou, the basis of their faction story telling is grey to dark but they (so far) cannot portray the xianzhou as villainous or in a more honest way that will make this faction, obviously not honourable or good guys right?
Like this faction is actually more grey more darker but a lot of fans doesnt seems to grasp it? And I have seen some of them acted SHOCKED when I pointed that nah... Xianzhou is not morally good faction. (0 factions in HSR are morally good and pure) Because hoyo fans are notorious for their lack of reading comprehensions and this faction is portrayed as very favourable rn, because like i said china coded country cannot looks bad *rolls eyes*
You can't have your cake and want to eat it too.
Hoyo should have made the Xianzhou a chill, neutral faction like Liyue. I legit quit HSR during boothill banner, after I pulled him and find out another world is yet another xianzhou ship I just... Give up.
Not necessarily because I think everything will be awful or all xianzhou are irredeemable but like... I can't stand the narrative imbalance anymore and as Yaoshi simp I just can't stand it no more.
Maybe I'll return in version 10.0 when we finally see Yaoshi planet but if hoyo still paint Yaoshi and their followers as 'EvIL whO ShoULD be RIghtFULLy EraDICATed" I will fucking boycott Hoyo
I had a philosophical awakening because of yaoshi as well, that led to "yeah i dont think immortality is bad, and if there's a way for me to get it i will take the pill of eternal life" so yeah there's that

Big fan of how the major factions in hsr are
-alliance of literal spaceships that hunt and dispose of traces of immortality
-guys (/gn) that track down 'cancers of all worlds' that are known to Fuck Things Up Big Time™ and follow the plans of this guy that can see the future or smthn??
-found family that warps around the galaxy on a train just kinda helping people out and making a name for themselves, blazing trails n stuff
-the curators of the memory of all living things across the universe????
And other really cool space fantasy things
And then there's the actual IRS.
The IRS is in this space fantasy game and they have come to collect your space taxes.
#honkai star rail#I actually don't pay enough attention to the lore#to know how true most of this is#this post is for people who know jack all about hsr

UTMV Sans X HSR Factions, Aons, and Paths
yeah the brainrot got to me, i joined into a server for a utmv fanfic and im more than usual obsessed with star rail rn and one character has given me the motivation of thinking what would he do/follow in the HSR universe and it lead to this :'D plus it helps me understand the factions and aeons alot better tbh LOL umm hope yall enjoy it, if yall wanna see my opinions of which AU sans belongs to a faction and aeon just send me a ask ^^ ALSO! this is copy pasted where i shared this originally in that same server with the fanfic but here its going to be more edited too clean it up
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
okay Ill start with fan favorites tbh Ink— Eminator of Aha: Elation, Masked fools, extremities of entertainment and laughter Error— Self-Annihilator of Nanook: Destruction, ???, extremities of destroying worlds and universes Dream— Eminator of Qlipoth: Preservation, The Architects, protection of worlds and universes with beliefs of preserving life Nightmare— Eminator of Nanook: Destruction, Annihilation Gang, extreme and unattached spiritual of destroying worlds and universes
okay originally i was gonna put dream with Fuli and nm with IX because its like a ying and yang kinda thing Fuli preserves everything because THEY believe everything matters and should be recorded but for IX THEY believe the universe is nothingness and will consume it into nothingness
BUT there's not a lot of factions for Fuli apart from preserving memories (Gardens of Recollection and Cremators) and Qlipoth believes fits more into dreams believes of protection of life (in his case the preservation of positivity because yknow hes a guardian an stuff)
so if Qlipoth is the protection of life then Nanook is the destruction of life and Nanook is already a extreme Aeon too with the Antimatter Legion (faction) so i was gonna put nm into that faction BUT the Anti still have a spiritual connection WHEN destroying worlds and stuff BUT another faction called the annihilation gang is de-attached from their spirit so they can create chaos without any emotional interference SO that fights nm more “Oh but why is error the same path as nm GOOD QUESTION, error doesn't fit in IX beliefs and doesn't fit in the faction of the antimatter OR the annihilation because error is still extreme on the destruction BUT he still is in a way spiritually connected on what hes doing AND it fits because we only have one Self-Annihilator (Acheron) and which they person destroy themselves because they're so connected with the Aeon they're following For acheron is losing memories For error is destruction of physically and mentally (again my memories of the self-annihilators are a bit fuzzy so pls recon me if i made a mistake ><) with Ink tho, he just-- fits right in tbh. The extremities of laughter and self pleasure and the connection of ink desire of creating entertainment whether for others or himself fits him INCREDIBLY well, and since we have two members of the Masked Fools (Sparkle and Sampo) Ink already fits into Aha' beliefs and since ink is a guardian of creativity, the amount of creation he can do with Aha (like sparkle with the 2.3 penacony quest) as well as just him getting entertainment in a way (two birds one stone kinda deal tbh)
i could go on and one but tbh this is i think my longest post tbh so ill stop here :'D! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ anyway if any of yall actually read this whole brainrot of a moment then wow! thank you for reading means a lot to me :')!! again asks will be open if anyone wants to see any other utmv sans in the next post (if yall want to ofc ofc) but i think im pretty satisfied with the main 4 tbh anyway hope you guys have a good morning/afternoon/night ^^
#my thoughts#undertale au#utmv#honkai star rail#hsr#analysis? i think?#ink sans#dream sans#nightmare sans#error sans#nanook#qlipoth#aha#tcoti#the council of the inevitable#yes this is the fanfic that inspired me this#i will do a gradient one but still debating on which faction

General Information:
Name: Sylus
Age: 28
Height: 6'2 ft; 190cm
Birthday: April 18th
alternative verses under the cut !!
Genshin Impact
Sylus is one of Hunter's closest friends. They grew up with the same father, since Sylus grew up without parents. He was suddenly put in front of Hunter's home as a baby and has since been treated as part of the family. He never knew what to do with his life, but was rather dedicated to studying the world in books. He had a knack for creating things, becoming something like an artisan. One of these things was a metallic crow, which he used to observe the area around his home, eventually even sending it further away, waiting days or even weeks for it to come back, show him recordings or make it talk about the things it had seen. He didn't truly understand but it did craw, so something must have happened.
When he turned 16, Sylus received his Cryo vision, having chosen a Polearm adorned with tiny black crystals. His big brother had given it to him and he was very thankful. Even though he got along with Hunter, he was more used to being around his big brother, eventually even started to help out in the weapon trade business.
He usually supplied the Fatui, but he also made himself everywhere else at home, supplying other factions or military organizations with everything they needed. There was no war in between the nations, supplying everyone equally only raised the money and that was what Sylus dedicated himself to.
HSR
Sylus grew up to parents serving in the IPC. He had been living a rather quiet life, mostly studying and training. He wasn't the biggest fan of weapons, but learned to use guns and his hands. The rest didn't matter all that much to him. He tried but lost interest quickly. Learning from the best, Sylus followed his parents to any meeting, to every event, each party, any planet. He learned a whole lot, especially how to connect with possible trading partners and before he knew it, he started to work for the IPC themselves albeit also nurturing ties to Galaxy Rangers, Stellaron Hunters, the Nameless and so on and so forth. He supplied them with what they needed---completely apart from what the IPC kept an eye on.
In all that Sylus was mostly a middleman, the supplying was done by others. He mostly just hid behind a number on a phone, an avatar on the web, he rarely ever came out of his hiding, although he travelled the space plenty under the pretense of helping out the IPC while also gaining new valuable contacts. He was doing rather well at his job, mostly running under the radar, seriously hoping not to be found out for having zero moral grounds.
He truly just enjoyed messing around.
Path: The Hunt, Element: Fire
WuWa
Having grown up to a man serving the Fractsidus with religious passion, Sylus grew up among them, picked up his gauntlets from his father when he died in a fight. But he never truly saw himself as a warrior or fighter per se, he also did not worship the Fractsidus. It wasn't that they scared him but he thought he could do something less violent more more productive to serve them and their ranks, eventually becoming an information broken and weapon trader, which was all too easy considering dirty and shameful, illegal organizations often longed to cooperate with the Fractsidus, while also being hunted by the law which Sylus seriously gave zero fucks about.
Hence he served as a middleman, supplying knowledgeable information to the Fractsidus, even supplying them with valuable materials and weapons, which they seemingly never had enough of. Who knew how many people they had already recruited on their side.
Free time wise he spend his time enjoying different meals and dishes in restaurants or a good wine.
tacet mark: upper right thigh
weapon: gauntlets, element: fusion
his right eye can turn bright red with which he can read/hear the desires of people, their wishes and needs due to having an aether core installed in his body (i am keeping his original lore to a degree)
he can use energy manipulation, a dark black/red string made of dust/waves to free himself from chains, squash people to death or simply let them float. it can be used for maaaany sort of things.

i am staring at your reply to the 🐱 anon's questions and ur answers ohoho......
do you have any more info about artemis and ambrose's world :3 like is it a fan world? how much stuff do u have about it? as someone who's currently making two fan worlds for hsr i'm sooo curious oooo
also! excited to see your art when you draw your ocs finally >:0
(i feel like this ask kinda sounds like i'm here for the first time HELP! SJDJFHF)
HELLOOOOO HI DEAR heheheh it's a fan planet, and i do!!!! here are some little facts about their homeworld for you:
ambrose and artemis' homeworld initially wasn't war-ridden, but after a certain lord ravager decided to sew a little bit of destruction there... it completely fell apart. she has been known to quite enjoy the self-destruction of poor little humans, now hasn't she? and ambrose and artemis were born into that chaos and destruction, leading to ambrose's bitterness towards nanook once they found out what caused their homeworld to fall apart like that. artemis would also fucking tear the destruction's throat out if she ever got the chance btw, fuck being afraid of the aeons.
it is now a peaceful planet nurtured by yaoshi's blessing <3 so it is an abundance faction! but they aren't quite welcoming any visitors at the moment... can you blame them? now that they have the power to keep unwanted guests out, it only makes sense that they would never let anyone in. however, if it were ambrose's will, then they would happily let people in.
the people of their homeworld are among the more normal and sane abundance factions actually 👍 they do not believe in hurting others in yaoshi's name and genuinely believe that those who do are insane (looking at you, dan shu's disciples of sanctus medicus 🤨🫵) because what kind and gentle god would want to bring unecessary harm? not theirs. um. they think, anyway!
(^ if they turned out to be wrong, i think they would go rogue actually. the majority of those people are wise enough to not bend easily to the will of an evil deity, no matter how much they previously loved said god... can't say the same for ambrose 🤷♀️)
overall they are actually a very good and kind faction!! but they prefer to keep to themselves and preserve the peace they have found.
