Sad to do this with 6/12 right around the corner, but I've come to the conclusion that I don't have any juice left to give Homestuck-ways. Mind you I still like talking about it in smaller settings, or occasionally, but answering a stream of asks regarding it as my interest wanes and I distance myself from the Fandom, is only making me resent it and this blog. I'm not sure if that'll change at any point in the future, but for now, and to avoid confusion, I'm going to turn asks off.

Of course, y'all can still reach me in DM's or whatever, and the blog itself is going nowhere obviously, but yeeeeah. Thank you all for all your theories and questions over the years!

@the-stars-we-call-home the one that really shocked me was that ATC exists because of the Grand Canyon collision. Like, no-one foresaw that and acted preemptively. Or, more likely, someone did and was ignored because expensive.

And then Proteus 706 happened (the SS France one). Oh yeah, sightseeing off the flight path and off radar is totally a good idea, it's not like anything has ever gone wrong with that before.

(for the non plane crash geeks, Proteus 706 was almost an exact copy of the Grand Canyon - both mid-air collisions by a pair of sightseeing planes. But one was 1956, and Proteus was 1998. Not forgetting, of course, the Grand Canyon one in 1986, but that one hasn't been covered by Mayday/ACI yet.)

I wish you the best. Your interests in Homestuck may wane, but I will still a happy [pre-emptive] 4/13. It was 15 years ago that this silly little webcomic was started and Today*(which is to say in the future)* we celebrate all the joys and frustrations that come out of a old ass comic made on the interwebs. Cheers. 🍻💚

Even if my interest wanes, Homestuck still does hold a special place in my heart, and it has caused irreversible changes to me and my patterns of speech among many other things.
