A fanfest for fics and art where Regulus is a loud and proud bigot! No sign ups or official prompting - this is very chill and casual fest for us, who miss seeing this part of his character.

Posting happens from 1st to 30th of September. You can post your fic/art yourself whenever you want and tag this account to get reblogged here!

Rules & guidelines

All ships, genres, lengths, ratings ect. welcome! If you want to post a multichapter work, it is enough to have the first chapter out in September

Regulus doesn't need to be the main character - you can explore how his deeds affect the other people

Non-magic AUs are welcome - instead of being a death eater, maybe Regulus can be part of alt right gang, hang out on the incel forums, or be an aggressive Tory

You can explore things like Regulus having doubts and questions about the things he does, feelings of guilt or the radicalization process, but try to avoid taking the "he was totally innocent and was forced to do all the bad things" route. We have enough of that already!

Do you have an idea but no time or energy to create? Send an ask and maybe someone else will feel inspired to make it! These will be tagged as #prompt on this blog

Although your work doesn't need to condemn Regulus's actions or world view, don't use this fest as an excuse to write hate speech about real groups of people. Remember to use tags and warnings!

Late at night, when the boys' dorm fell quiet around him, Harry's ghost would emerge from the darkness in the corners and gather close to the warmth of his body. Its voice in his head was soft and silvery.

When Harry's stomach was empty and aching, Ghost would tell him stories of a magical castle called Hogwarts. Underneath it, there was a huge kitchen that was always warm and smelled like fresh bread. Harry would fall asleep, his stomach empty but his mind full of dreams.

When he was cold, Ghost would whisper about their own orphanage and how it was always either too cold or too hot, and there was never enough food to feel full. They talked about the thin, bitter children that lived there and, even worse, the fat round babies who didn’t stay long but went off to their new homes while Ghost had to remain behind.

Harry understood wanting to leave. If he had somewhere to go, he’d leave in an instant.

HP Cry Me a River Fest Details

Intro:

A collection of Harry Potter fanworks with no “Happily Ever After.” All pairings and ratings welcome!

Rules:

1. This collection is not open to works that feature underage marriage/sex, incest, beastiality, necrophilia, or pedophilia/grooming.

2. Authors are allowed to use the “creator choose not to use archive warnings” option as desired. However, some triggers must be tagged. See FAQs for details.

3. Each work must be at least 500 words.

4. The fest hosts are the final arbiters on whether a piece violates fest rules or is inadequately tagged. Respectful discussion is welcomed, but tantrums on these subjects will not be tolerated.

5. You may post your work to the AO3 collection at any time. It will appear publicly as soon as the moderators approve it. Final due date for one-shots, artworks, and the FIRST CHAPTER of multi-chapter works is April 21, 2024.

FAQs:

1. Readers beware, especially if you are easily triggered. All stories in this fest will be sad.

2. Open to all HP fandom eras (canon years, post-war, Marauders, next gen, etc), pairings, ratings.

Rules:

We at Harry POCter are delighted to announce our first big event of the year: the Festival of Colours! 🎨 It’s time to celebrate the POC characters of Harry Potter. Whether you do this by writing a fic or by creating a piece of fanart is entirely up to you!

All forms of fic and fanart are welcome, including canon compliant and AU works! Featured characters can be canonically POC, head canons/interpretations (e.g. Black Hermione, Desi James, etc.), or AU POC (e.g. POC Weasleys)!

1. Your submission should prominently feature at least one POC character (see above for more details)

2. All fic submissions must be a minimum of 1000 words

New Dramione Fic!

Let's all say hello to a new Dramione fic about Draco and his recently-deceased wife, Hermione. Ouch. Get the tissues ready! This one is going to be rough.

In the Library Where He Kept Her by GreenInk_RedLetters

Summary:

Draco wallows in the sudden passing of his wife Hermione Granger. By charming her favorite books, he's able to live vicariously watching their memories while succumbing to his grief. It will be up to him, the persistence of his friends, and the legacy of Hermione's love whether or not Draco chooses to continue living in the past, or to shut the doors of the library for good. Told through a combination of flashbacks and present-day scenes.

Everything that made him good and whole was a reflection of the witch. She stitched him up and made him something to be proud of. Who was Draco Malfoy without Hermione Granger? What sort of world was there without her gentle smiles and her ferce morality? She was everything and then...

Nothing.

AND

Draco's life no longer lay in terms of before or after the war, but rather before or after her. Because it was her that gave him meaning.
