You can only receive what’s on your frequency, we’re like radios in that sense. Expand your frequency range upwards by meditating and paying attention to what’s going on between your eyes when you close them, and listen to some instrumental meditation music, something without lyrics.
I like this sorta 432Hz soundscape noise a lot for meditating: https://tondra.bandcamp.com/ Helps focus more on energy movement rather than thoughts.
Let go of all thoughts, look for gaps inbetween thoughts and stay in them, let them expand, the longer you can stay in no-thought the more likely your vibration will naturally rise and you’ll feel better and better, that bliss that can arise is your core essence, it’s that energy that creates the entire universe.

How to Manage Anxiety
Anxiety is a prevalent issue that many encounter today, and meditation for anxiety provides significant relief. Philosopher Martin Heidegger differentiates between fear, targeted at a specific external object, and anxiety, which lacks a direct focus and emerges from an unclear source. This often results in a pervasive sense of disconnection. At Bayside Meditation in Queens, we offer guided

What are 5 Ways to Meditate? 4. How Do I Know if I'm Meditating Correctly? 5. What Is the Best Time to Meditate? 6. Can You Meditate While Lying in Bed? 7. Conclusion
Tumblr media
1. How to Meditate
If you are new to meditation, the idea of sitting still and quieting your mind may seem daunting. However, with practice and patience, anyone can learn to meditate. Here are some steps to help you get started: 1. Finding a quiet and comfortable place to sit 2. Set a timer for your desired length of meditation (start with 5-10 minutes if you're a beginner). 3. Sitting with your back straight and your hands resting on your lap. 4. Focusing on your breath or a chosen focal point. 5. Observing any thoughts or emotions that come up without judgment. 6. Refocusing your attention if your mind wanders. 7. Continuing to focus for the duration of your meditation session. 8. Ending your meditation practice by slowly bringing your attention back to the present moment and taking a few deep breaths.
2. What Do You Think When Meditating?
One of the most common misconceptions about meditation is that you have to clear your mind completely and think of nothing. However, this is not necessarily the case. While the ultimate goal of meditation is to achieve a state of calm and focus, it's normal for your mind to wander and for thoughts to come and go. The key is not to get too attached to these thoughts and to gently bring your focus back to your breath or other meditation techniques you may be using. Remember, meditation is a practice, and it's okay if your mind wanders or if you have trouble staying focused at first. The more you practice, the easier it will become.
3. What are 5 Ways to Meditate?
Here are five different ways to meditate: Guided Meditation: This involves listening to a recorded meditation that guides you through the practice. Mindfulness Meditation: This involves focusing your attention on your breath, thoughts, and emotions without judgment. Body Scan Meditation: This involves paying attention to different parts of your body and noticing any sensations or tension. Loving-Kindness Meditation: This involves directing feelings of love, kindness, and compassion towards yourself and others. Transcendental Meditation: This involves using a mantra or sound to focus your attention and quiet your mind. Read This Also: Top 5 AI Chat Bots for Fun and Engaging Conversations
4. How Do I Know if I'm Meditating Correctly?
There's no one right way to meditate, and everyone's experience will be different. However, some signs that you may be meditating effectively include feeling more relaxed and calm, having an increased sense of focus and clarity, and noticing a reduction in negative thoughts or emotions.
5. What Is the Best Time to Meditate?
The best time to meditate is ultimately up to you and your schedule. Some people prefer to meditate first thing in the morning to start the day with a clear and focused mind, while others find that meditating in the evening helps them unwind and relax before bed. Experiment with different times and see what works best for you.

6. Can You Meditate While Lying in Bed?
Yes, it's possible to meditate while lying in bed, although it's important to be mindful of the potential for falling asleep. If you're having trouble falling asleep or feeling anxious, a guided meditation or relaxation exercise in bed can be a helpful way to calm your mind and body. Our minds, left to their own devices and training, are very busy. They are always going and going, frequently even when we sleep. How do you expect to have access to all of your processing power if you don’t let all of that nonsense go?

The first step in stilling your mind is to observe your thoughts. Just observe them. Don’t judge them or analyze them or participate in them. Just observe them, like it was chatter at the next table in a restaurant.
This is harder than it might sound, but, with practice, you can do it. Start simply. Start by doing it while you’re driving or riding public transportation. Or doing the dishes. Or going for a walk.
Just listen to the noise, observe it. Watch it float by like a circus on a boat.
You are not your thoughts.

Meditation 1: The Fundamentals
Life pulls us in every direction but one: inward. As we go about our walk through this world, we not only have our own desires and needs to contend with but also those of the people with whom we come into contact. In meditation, you come back to your Self as you truly are.
From birth onward, we are told what we are and what we are not. Meditation is the way to discover what it really means to exist and the way to rest peacefully in that awareness.
The practice of meditation opens cracks in the continuity of our habituation and restores the newness of life that we intuited as children. It creates the possibility for incomprehensible discovery and unimagined freedom.
How to Get Started
In order for the practice to work its magic upon you, it must marinate you. This means the practice needs to be daily. It becomes a way of life, a part of your day the same as showering and brushing your teeth.
Routine
Our routines provide a cadence that supports our day. Those routines fit together in rhythms unique to the individual. Some people prefer to brush their teeth before showering, others prefer the opposite. Some people floss in the evening and others in the morning.
Take some time to contemplate the rhythms of your routines. When I first began meditation, I preferred meditating in the evenings. That was the time in which my obligations were over and I had time to myself. Then during medical school, I started working long days. I wouldn’t know how tired I would be when I came home. So I switched to morning meditations because I knew I would be fresh and awake.
I wake up, eat breakfast, shower, meditate, and then get dressed. That’s my rhythm. To successfully integrate meditation into your lifestyle, find a place for it. If you have to ask yourself if you feel like meditating, there will be plenty of days in which you just aren’t feeling it. But if it is part of your routine, your rhythm, then you will just do it.
This might seem a little rigid but that is how it is done in Zen monasteries and yoga ashrams alike. For a more spontaneous element to your practice, mindfulness can be engaged anytime throughout the day.
Technique
The multitude of meditation techniques available can feel overwhelming. Choose one and stick to it for two weeks before deciding to try something else. The technique I practice and recommend is Jangama Dhyana. It is very simple and Zen.
When I first started meditation, I began with mantra meditation also known as Japa. This is also a good place to start for a true beginner.
Other types of meditation include Tonglen, Somatic Meditation, Transcendental Meditation (I’ve never tried it), and many more.
Often I am asked about guided meditations. They seem okay to me as introductions for true beginners or as something extra done in addition to your daily practice.
Duration
The length of a meditation sitting is another aspect to consider. The most important part of a meditation practice is that it is daily. It is better to meditate for 5 minutes a day than 60 minutes once a week. Once you start with a daily practice, the duration of your sittings can be easily increased over time.
If you have never meditated before, start with 5 minutes per day. Once you have done 7 days in a row, increase the time to 10 minutes a day. After 7 days in a row of that, increase to 15 minutes. Keep doing this until you can sustain 30 minutes per day.
Individual lifestyles may put a limit on what is possible for how much time you can set aside for meditation. But as you come to value the practice more, you may be drawn to prioritize meditation with greater dedication. My personal aspiration is 45-60 minutes daily.
Sometimes you may be at 30 minutes per day, for example, and then you notice yourself beginning to skip days. That’s a sign you should reduce the time, perhaps coming back down to 10 or 15 minutes per day. Then build up again over time. There is no rush, again you just need to be doing it daily.
Conclusion
Until you come to know the silence and stillness of your Being, you will remain a victim of your human body/mind. Your body/mind’s problems will be Your problems. Once you realize through experience that your body/mind is in You but You are not your body/mind, everything changes.
The world becomes a benevolent place without fear and without selfishness. Only then can you love all beings unconditionally and be of real service to the world.
All of the above should provide enough to help you begin a daily meditation practice. If you have any questions, feel free to comment or inbox me directly. I would be delighted to help.
Namaste :)
