Buck loves spending time with Tommy even when he has to share that attention with others. It gives him time to sit back and admire his boyfriend and how animated and passionate he can get about his interests. Even if Buck doesn’t necessarily share those interests. The way he is debating movies with Chimney is fascinating to him. He has no idea what they are talking about, having tuned out the moment superheroes were mentioned. Buck chuckles at them both defending their choices in who would win in a fight. He can’t take sides he has no clue who they are talking about or their powers. Buck is just happy to be sitting beside his love, hand on his thigh and watching the laugh lines on his face. The gasp Tommy lets out has him tuning back into the conversation.

“How can you skip the original trilogy Howie? So many pivotal moments happen that are alluded to in all future Spider-Man movies, not to mention TV and movies since!” Tommy exclaims, incredulous about Chimney’s confession.

“Yeah, yeah but the cringe factor. Especially the third one. I’ve seen the dancing clip I don’t need to watch the whole movie, or any of them. Like you said it’s throughout pop culture now, why waste my time?” Chim fires back.

“Ok that’s fair. The third one is definitely not the best but you miss out on so many good scenes from the other movies. Catching the tray in the cafeteria, not getting beat up by a young Joe Manganiello.” Tommy starts to list the moments he loves from the movie.

“Is that the werewolf guy you showed me in that vampire show? With the blond sexy vampire?” Buck cuts in the name seeming familiar to him. He has been shown a lot of movies and shows since being with Tommy.

“Trust you to remember that show Buck.” Chim snickers at the blush on Buck’s face.

“What can I say, I appreciate the classics” Buck replies wiggling his eyebrows at his brother-in-law.

“You appreciate the nudity.” Chim declares knowingly.

“Yeah that too” Buck can’t keep the smile from his face.  

“What about the iconic Spider-Man kiss. How could you not have seen that?” Tommy asks disbelievingly.

“I have, in so many things. I’ve even seen stills of it. Just not the movie it’s from.” Chim shrugs.

“What’s that again? What kiss?” Buck asks trying to remember any that stood out from the copious number of movies he has watched of late.

“You deal with that, I’m making more popcorn.” Chim says gesturing at Buck and walking into the kitchen.

“Come on Evan we watched all the Spiderman movies. Every iteration. Not to mention all the Marvel movies. It was in the first Tobey Maguire one.” Tommy replies deflating at his inability to share his love of movies with Buck.

“Is that the guy in those hobbit movies?” Buck asks thinking back to what he had been shown.

“Different actor. That’s Elijah Wood. And he was in The Lord of the Rings. The Hobbit is a different movie.” Tommy says rubbing a hand over his face.

“Are you sure?” Buck asks he could have sworn that it was the same actor.

“Very sure.” Tommy looks at him with a fond but sceptical look.

“Is the Lord of the Rings the one where Sherlock and Watson are doing dragon role play?” Buck asks digging deep into his memory and unconsciously stroking his hand along Tommy’s thigh. He feels Tommy shift under his hand.

“What? Dragon? NO! I mean, that movie is part of the universe but not the movie Elijah Wood is in. Who is not Tobey Maguire.” Tommy rubs at the bridge of his nose, opening his legs a little more as the hand moves higher.

“Ok so is the Spiderman you are talking about the one where Bucky is flirting hardcore with the dude with metal wings?” Buck asks a grin on his face, surely he has it right this time. Even if he doesn’t he is enjoying watching the emotions play out across Tommy’s face. The blush creep across his cheeks as his hand moves higher again.

“They weren’t flirting! Ok maybe they were but why do you remember Bucky?” Tommy tries to maintain his normal tone as strong fingers kneed into his thigh. Casting glances to his kitchen, hoping Chim won’t be walking back in anytime soon.

“Well you are obsessed with him and you know the whole Buck/Bucky thing. I pay attention to what you like. When Bucky flipped that motorcycle around, I understood the appeal. And when he has Black Widow sitting on his chest, wow! Not sure who I wanted to be more in that scene!” Buck continues to move his hand over Tommy’s leg.

“Ok that is part of the Marvel universe which Spider-Man is in but the one I’m talking about is in a completely separate trilogy of movies. Different actor.” Tommy says

“I’m confused.” Buck replies removing his hand from Tommy’s leg as Chim walks back in with more popcorn.  

“Me too!” Tommy groans out throwing his head back.

“Did you decide which movie we are going to watch?” Chim asks sitting on the other side of Buck and pushing him closer to Tommy. Tommy wraps his arms around Buck and pulls him in close, kissing the side of his neck. Savouring the closeness Buck melts into the hold.

“Nope.” Buck replies stealing the bowl of popcorn.

“You pick Howie.” Tommy sighs with resignation a squeeze on his leg promising better things to come when they are alone.

“Iron Man it is!” Chim cheers grinning over at Buck who can’t contain his grin.

“Did you orchestrate all that so Chim would get his way?” Tommy whispers into Buck’s ear sending vibrations throughout Buck’s body.

“I may have.” Buck shivers “Besides if you aren’t as interested in what movie is playing you might kiss me more.”

“You are an evil genius.” Tommy mutters kissing Buck��s birthmark “Too bad for you I wanted to watch Iron Man.” Tommy settles back with a chuckle as Buck sputters and gapes at his grinning boyfriend. Damn it, he will just have to make Tommy pay for that. He considers doing it now but decides spending some time just being held by the big strong arms around him is worth the price of watching a movie he doesn’t care about. Maybe he will get his own Spider-Man kiss as a reward.

Hello again, it's Faerie Anon back to send another long and needlessly in-depth anon comment because writing may too many words about petty bullshit that doesn't matter in the slightest is my curse. Today we're going to be talking about ~Narrative Consistency~ (or inconsistency as I will be talking about here), or as I will call it, the Character Rules. A smaller example of Narrative Inconsistency is Piñata being called the "Birthday Boy" when anthries on Spinch do not know what "birth" is, and Hatchday Hound would have worked better in my opinion.

Now, the Character Rules, as I will describe them, are certain meta rules that apply to each character both in and outside of the narrative. They apply to how the character is allowed to be treated, what they can be called, and even what you can do with them outside of the comic. Certain characters have stricter rules, while others may have rules that are the complete opposite of others. A lot of my examples will be from Cometcare, but I will also go over main-series characters as well.

Let's take Cuddles, the most obvious example. Because he is the series "big bad" and a representation of all of kit's trauma, there are little to no things you can do with him. No shipping, no projecting, you're not even allowed to like him. These are Cuddle's Rules. Other characters who do similar things to him, however (Doom, Puppy, Sunshine) are seen as those who can do nothing wrong and woobified by both the creator and the audience. These are inconsistent Rules.

Next, we have Ally and Howie. Not only are these two given WAY less consequences in Cometcare and would probably be allowed to get away with murder, because they are so personal to Kittycorn, they also have some Rules applied to them. You can't kin them, use pictures of them (even fanart!) as icons, you can't even call yourself their names. These characters are able to do virtually whatever they want while other characters are actually punished for the same shit. These are inconsistent Rules. 

Then there's Sly, who's allowed to be the fandom punching bag. Could you imagine someone making fun of Cream for her eating disorder, or Eve for being traumatized by Sly ignoring her? Not at all! And yet, Sly's symptoms of severe depression are allowed to be made fun of because Kittycorn has decided that it is something that the fandom is allowed to do. These are inconsistent Rules.

Oh, but certainly such a queer-comic would be respectful of everyone's identities, right? Well, no. Jay and Orange, who at one point solely used "they/them", were retconned to be "he/they" because "everyone already uses he/him for them anyways". And yet, anyone who uses "he" for Uni when she uses any pronouns, or politely headcanons Sly as using he/him pronouns without trying to make fen a cis man (either keeping them as transfem or having other headcanons, like intersex), everyone loses their goddamn minds. This, DESPITE the fact that Sly was made transfem because of fucking fan headcanons, but all of the sudden those aren't ALLOWED now. Okay. Alright then. These are inconsistent Rules. 

There is SO MUCH MORE I could go over. Uni being praised for her sexuality while Levi is demonized for it. Doom "no one is allowed to complain about him ever again" and Hemera "there's still time for the traitor to die". You can make fun of Barry for being schizophrenic but Don't You Dare Make Fun Of Uni or Carrie or some other fan favorite. Every character has different standards that apply to them and if you don't keep track of the main blog ever second of every day you are going to get flayed alive for a mistake! These! Are! Inconsistent! Fucking! Character! Rules!

Now, NONE of this would be a big issue if it wasn't for Kittycorn herself. Narrative Inconsistency in a personal passion project is. Okay. Whatever. It's not MY project so it doesn't matter to me. But with how sensitive and parasocialKittycorn can be with bun's audience, something as honest a mistake as accidentally using the wrong icon can lead to a mob mentality in which everyone attacks this user to defend Kittycorn. You can't even post off-anon on a critical blog without getting death threats, heaven help you if you accidentally make Kittycorn upset for something you had no idea about!

TL;DR: Narrative inconsistency sucks and so does the unusual treatment of characters, but Kittycorn's reaction to it sucks harder.

I'm gonna be honest, I never understood how Cuddles was meant to be the big bad.

He seems rude at most. The worst thing we've seen him do is torture Barry in v1, but Doom, Funfetti, and Puppy also did that with Puppy and Funfetti seeming to ENJOY it. Doom too. Since then he hasn't done anything but be a minor inconvenience to the patients. Like I said in a previous post, the whole thing with him bullying Uni was made out to be a big deal "omg you guys you'll never guess what the bastard did this time!!! It's gonna make your mind EXPLODE!!!!" And it turned out to be him calling Uni's puppets stupid. Like c'mon now, if Barry had been the one saying that people would've done some shit like calling it barruni content. Barry called Uni all sorts of names and yet since it was HIM it was okay. I have very strong feelings about v4 if you couldn't tell.

But the rules for him are also so stupid. If you're making RULES for how people can interact with your content, you are NOT ready to release your content to an audience. Sure, this started as a "comfort oc webcomic", but it's making money now. These are still ocs to kc, but to us they're just characters. It isn't a small personal project anymore even if kit wants to pretend it is, buns has a team working on the comic and everything! More importantly, the comic is supposed to eventually be PRINTED and SOLD. Kc cannot be expecting that the fandom won't grow if it gets printed, because it will. I'm not sure how squeak is even planning on enforcing these rules; what are you gonna do, give a free pamphlet with every comic filled to the brim on the do's and don'ts of the fandom?

The thing with Sly. . .oh it bothers me so fucking much. This fandom apparently wouldn't even dream of making fun of Uni for her autism or Carrie for her eating disorder, but because Sly has depression it's suddenly fine. Oh boy, it's not like depression isn't already constantly made fun of and demonized! The fandom is so so welcoming to those with depression! You make a single joke about Uni and the white knights start flooding your inbox, but Eve and Kc can constantly make fun of Sly without any repercussions. I'm someone who has struggled with hygiene issues for a long time. I do not like Kc because of this. I like sparklecare, but I am very far from liking Kc as a person.

I still remember people getting heated over an anon on a critic blog using Howial as their signoff. "You can't use that name! That's Kc's fursonas ship!!!" I wonder how these people will act when someone who goes by Howie or Ally enters the fandom without knowing about cometcare! I'm sure they'll be so nice and understanding and definitely not bully said person into changing their online name!

It's so annoying to me when Kc has gets upset at someone in the fandom over small trivial things. Come on now, this is a fandom, not a small friend group that's sharing a comic together. People are going to do stuff you may not like. People are going to use your characters in ways you probably won't like. Kc already cut off twitter because of this, so it wouldn't be that hard to just I don't know, IGNORE THE POST instead of making multiple posts on the main blog and trauma dumping on a bunch of teenagers before watching them go white knight for you in the inboxes of the "bad" people. If interacting with parts of the fandom stress Kc out this much then squeak should just ignore those parts of the fandom. I don't like certain parts of the fandoms I'm in, but I ignore the posts and scroll on after sometimes blocking the tag if they have one. It's not that hard. After this amount of time it's on Kc for not blocking the sparklecrit tags.

And before people go calling me insensitive, I've gone through plenty of trauma myself, but that does NOT give me an excuse to make fun of others with different mental issues than me and it sure as hell doesn't give me an excuse to purposefully cause people to get sent death threats and all sorts of other nasty stuff. You can tell me that this isn't what Kc means to do, but people have come to the ZCP to ask them to call off the white knights before and I have never found a post from Kc saying not to do this. It's not that hard to tell your fans off for doing disgusting stuff like that. This fandom is all for mental disability/disorder advocacy and lgbtqia+ positivity until someone does something they don't like, then it's okay to shame them for their mental issues/disorders and violently misgender them all because they did something as terrible as *gasp* having a Howie pfp!!!! Or maybe even doing the ultimate crime of not agreeing with something in the comic! Or DARING to make a post on how their disability that Kc DOES NOT have could be better represented!

AGGGTM TV SHOW SPOILERS AHEAD!

um hi. I just watched agggtm the tv series and I have a bone to pick with everything.

THis is ur warning if u havent watched the show Bye.

Don't get me wrong, ive read the books and i LOVED them but this tv show did not do them justice, it changed sooooo many details that didnt need to be changed and left out a lot of stuff, leaving them with no set up for season 2. Good Girl Bad Blood. I will now rant.

Ravi - No hate to the actor that played Ravi but he sucked. The line delivery on so many things was severly lacking. They also made him miss out on an iconic line "Real men wear floral when trespassing". In the show they made it so Ravi didn't rlly help Pip at all. He was simply there for Pip to tell her theories and information to.

Stanley - Stanley was just non-existent. he just wasnt there. This leaves no set up for season two. Bad choice on behalf of someone

Becca Bell - It may have just been me who thought of Becca as this frail 20 year old who was still grieving. But that wasn't represented in the show. They made Becca straight up find Pip and get angry at her instead of Pip just finding her in a cafe or whatever and asking her a few simple questions.

Ant - Ant was there, but not a part of Pip's friend group, he was just known as this dude that asked Lauren out.

Howie Bowers - First of all, his last name wasnt mentioned in tv show i dont think and it came off as this terrifying dude with a scar, when in the books he was just a drunk dude that was tryna sell drugs and didnt want to get called out by a bunch of teenagers. We never saw his house, Pip never tracked him down, he just happened to be at the Calamity party.

Da silvas - They made him more of a character than he needed to be. It was annoying. Also he did this weird nose grabbing thing eww. They also made Nat da Silva one of Andie's best friends instead of it being Chloe and Emma, it was Nat and Emma.

The cave - This cave shouldn't have existed. The calamity party that Pip was supposed to go to the track down the drug dealer, was in a cave. She didn't pretend to smoke with a guy on a garden wall, she simply asked where he was and he took her to Howie.

This stupid cave was also where Andie was hidden, it was like a well or something in the cave that Becca dragged Andie into instead of the Farm house

The Farm house - Like Stanley the farmhouse didn't exist. IT WAS A KEY PLOT POINT IN THE FIRST BOOK AND ALSO IS IN THE SECOND YET THEY SAID NOPE AND DIDNT HAVE IT. ajdkbqoEUFBWROGUW

Isla - In the books Isla was this mentally unstable girl Elliot found on the side of the road that he believed was Andie, Isla being unstable then believed she was Andie. Elliot then hid her away in his attic and looked after her. When Pip finds her the girl introduces herself as Andie, Pip then realises it's not. In the stupid TV show, Isla is a poor girl living at a bus stop that Elliot thinks is Andie but quickly realises is not but offers her a place to stay for the night because of her condition, the next morning he confesses to the murder of Sal to her, which he then traps her in the attic. When Pip finds her she says, "I'm not Andie" UGH, it removed that whole plot point.

Barney - Now i was prepared to ball my eyes out at Barney dieing, (I warned u abt spoilers). A few things were different. First Barney was lost at Josh's bday party, not on a walk like in the book. Secondly (spoiler for book three) Barney wasn't drowned. He was discovered dead on the side of the road after being hit by a car which I can't see how they could make that Jason killing him on purpose.

Jason - They didn't make this man more of a suspect. They needed to make him suspisious to set up for a possible season 3. They made Dan da silva a suspect.

Pip showing up at ppls houses - The main way pip interviews ppl is by showing up at their houses, the show eliminated a bunch of these interactions. Pip met Ravi when on a walk with muffins, not his house, Pip met Max while waitressing for a party, (yes at his house but didn't show up on his door step like in the book) Nat da Silva, Pip interviewed her in the locker room after a tennis match when she was half naked.

There are propably so many more big things wrong with this show. It needed more of a budget, they ended up using some of the same shots, like Pip driving the same road, and Young pip. It was very annoying. I had such high hopes for this show to stay close to it's source material becasue Holly was so involved in the filming process, she even has a mini cameo in the hotel episode (look for the guest in a robe). But i was very disappointed so many things were changed. They even missed the whole renactment of murder to prove Sal's innocence. They just left out so much and it's very annoying.

Both Neverland and LUCID! Had their own performance stages, with Blue participating in a collaboration stage with Le Sserafim’s Yunjin, Kep1er’s Xiaoting, Bada Lee, and Monika.

Sugar Rush + Days Gone By (ROCK VER) ; “Escape from Dilemma”

Neverland performed on day 1 towards the end of the broadcast. They performed segments of both of their 2023 releases, Sugar Rush and Days Gone By. The performance began with a dance break to a rock instrumental of Sugar Rush, focusing on three units of the group. Youngho and Howie were first, then Jun, Dabin, and Woosung, then Dae and Mako, before they all converged together in the middle of the stage to perform a rock version of Days Gone By. Lost loved their performance, although many wondered why they didn’t focus more on Sugar Rush, the song that earned them their nominations.

Blue of LUCID! ; CHESHIRE! (MAMA version) ; “Goddess Awakened”

Blue performed with Yunjin, Xiaoting, Bada, and Monika in the collaboration stage on day 2, representing the Sphinx. She performed an intense and largely instrumental version of CHESHIRE! prepared especially for MAMA. She first began with a lyrical performance to a monologue over the speakers, before taking her place on a golden throne surrounded by dancers, as CHESHIRE! (MAMA version) began to play. Her dance solo to the song followed the style of the others before her, sharp, angled, and powerful. After she finished her own solo, she began the transition into the group performance, strutting down the stage to an eerie musical tone to join the rest of the women in formation. All five women performed a strong and powerful dance to MAGO by LIM KIM to finish off their collaboration. Blue received a lot of praise for her performance online, having one of the most technically difficult solos out of the group. Her power as a dancer remains unchallenged.

LIKE THIS! + TOO SPICY! ; “WHAT A DAZE!”

LUCID! performed as a group towards the end of day 2’s broadcast. Their performance began with LIKE THIS!, focusing on a small solo performance by each member. Each member had a unique bit of choreography for their piece, consisting of only a few lines, until converging to the middle to finish the song as a full unit. The song then transitioned into TOO SPICY!, marking the first ever ot5 performance of the song. They seemed to be having a fun time on stage, hyping up the crowd, and grinning widely. Towards the end of the song, they broke from their choreography to run around the stage as confetti rained down, encouraging the audience to cheer and sing along with them. The focus of the stage was to emphasize LUCID!’s fun and carefree personality and concept. Multiple clips of other groups smiling and clapping along to their performance gained traction, a clip of Vernon from Seventeen dancing along and grinning going the most viral.
