Note
also do u think Linebeck is originally from the World of the Ocean King or from the Great Sea?
I think he's from the Great Sea. This is mainly just because in-game there isn't a whole lot of evidence to the contrary? (There isn't much evidence that he's from the great sea either but there's more for that than the other thing and I'll take what I can get)
I'll just go ahead and list out my fairly simple reasons why I think this just to streamline this away from being a block of text.
1: In the loz encyclopedia, on page 39, the text associated with the little picture of linebeck (its the one labeled '3') says 'captain linebeck, one of the people lured into the world of the ocean king' and i do not care if that's a mistranslation or whatever but i am taking it and RUNNING WITH IT.
2: unlike in the manga he never wishes to go to link's world, but i imagine he didn't know for sure that he and link were from the same world, but he ends up there anyways good for him
3: when oshus initially introduces that link and tetra (and linebeck) are from a different world he says that the ghost ship will not longer haunt 'your' world, not specifying just link and tetra but possibly also including linebeck in that statement. when everyone talks about the door to the other world opening and all of that shit they never specify that it's just link and tetra's world, they just call it 'your world' and whatever, and when neri talks about being a part of oshus's world, she never explicitly includes linebeck in that grouping, and i would assume that she would know if he's a part of the same world as her or not. she also thanks both link AND linebeck, further suggesting that he's automatically going to be leaving with link. plus, the way the spirits talk to him and say goodbye very heavily imply that he's from the same world as link and will automatically be leaving with him. also i imagine that he shows up out of nowhere with his ship afterwards is possibly because he got lured in through a different method than link and tetra, possibly causing his ship to get dragged in with him, most likely in a way that he didn't actually fully notice.
4: if he's not originally from the great sea why send him there if he doesn't ask to??? you can argue why he'd be tossed out with them but just based on wording in the game and stuff it makes a lot more sense if he was also from the same world as link and co. just got dragged in a different way, at a different point in time. i have a convoluted headcanon all about him getting dragged in and for how long and how and all of that but i'll leave that in the tags.
5: i like him being from the great sea more bc it works for my purposes also i just like it better. that simple.
#asks#anon#loz#legend of zelda#phantom hourglass#linebeck#idk it just makes more sense to me for him to be from the great sea too#anyways long fucking headcanon incoming#BASICALLY i think he's been in the world of the ocean king for seven years#he got dragged in by accident. pre ghost ship my idea is that it was soon after shit with bellum went bad so it was kinda#like a bermuda triangle situation where he just was at the wrong place and kinda. fell into the world of the ocean king#that part is not clear for me yet but thats the idea it was an accident and he effectively entirely physically got dragged in#i think link and tetra were also physically dragged in but im not going into the differences#however i do believe that his time in the world of the ocean king is equal to the amount of time he was missing#he was in the world of the ocean king for seven years and during that time seven years passed in the great sea#i imagine oshus has a degree of power over deciding how long someone has been in his domain#link and tetra only got 10 minutes bc they were pulled in by the ghost ship and really couldn't afford to be gone for too long#linebeck gets his seven years because of the differences in how he entered the world and bc tetra and link showing up#lined up really well plus some weird time dilatation shit and also as an extra thanks to linebeck for helping out#this is mostly because the mans been through enough i think he deserves to have had a normal amount of time pass#he gets to leave and interact with the people he used to know normally. seven years passed for them too#plus it makes me feel better.#also the seven years thing IS a hero of time parallel but it was fucking unintentional i swear#i picked seven years because of a number of related headcanons#but now that i have this accidental parallel i will be taking advantage of it for post ph stuff

Arcane and Macbeth, and what this means for Caitlyn, Ambessa, Jinx, and Isha Theory
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Somebody on Reddit mentioned that this image from the season 2 intro of Caitlyn looked like a Macbeth poster. Obviously I wasn’t the first to notice this, but I did decide to make this post explaining what this means.
Caitlyn being in the position of Macbeth immediately tells us something- She’s in a position of power. One she feels guilty for being in- The guilt eating her alive. After killing King Duncan, Macbeth begins frantically washing his hands in water, and comes to a sudden realization that becoming king comes with the cost of guilt for the unjust way he obtained his power-
“Will all great Neptune’s ocean wash this blood clean from my hand? No, this hand will rather the multitudinous seas incarnadine, making the green one red” (Act 2 Scene 2) the literal meaning of this quote is that no amount of water can wash the blood off his hands and that his attempts to clean himself would turn the entire ocean red. Taking this metaphorically, he’s saying he’ll never be free of his guilt and anything he does to try and save himself would just poison the world around him.
I see people wondering if Caitlyn will have her own “pitfighter Vi” moment. I think the Macbeth symbolism is proof she will. Following the parallels, Caitlyn will act in ways to try to rid herself of the guilt she feels for hurting Zaun, and for hurting Vi. Whatever she does in an attempt to rid herself of guilt will backfire and hurt the people closest to her, and Piltover as a whole.
Based on LoL lore and the fact Caitvi are canonically together by then, I have a hard time believing Caitlyn won’t get an onscreen redemption arc, meaning her similarities to Macbeth end there. However I think this could still give us insight into how Ambessa, Jinx and Isha will fair the rest of the season.
I’ve already seen people compare Ambessa to Lady Macbeth, given that she’s the pulling the strings, the one who convinces Macbeth to kill King Duncan and take the throne. Lady Macbeth goes mad of grief throughout the play. Act 5 Scene 1 shows her sleepwalking and revealing the truth as she speaks. This could possibly indicate that Ambessa herself isn’t as unfazed as she first appears to be, and will reveal the truth through an unintentional admission of guilt. I personally don’t see Ambessa doing this, but I thought I’d mention it regardless since I’ve seen others draw parallels.
Now, something I haven’t seen mentioned at all is that there’s one key thing stopping Macbeth’s future lineage from becoming king: A vision that Banquo’s children will become the future kings of Scotland. After obtaining power, it becomes Macbeth’s mission to eliminate Banquo and his son- A parallel I think best suits Jinx and Isha. Jinx has become the defacto leader of Zaun and represents every bit of grief Caitlyn feels. By killing her- She solves “the problem”. But if Jinx became leader in place of Silco, her father figure, who takes Jinx’s role? Logically, a child who looks up to her. enter Isha, the stand in for Banquo’s son.
In the play itself, Banquo is killed, but his son survives. Do I think this means Caitlyn will succeed in killing Jinx, but not Isha? I can’t say. I feel as if these parallels exist solely to set up the way Caitlyn feels/reacts in Act 2 as opposed to a step by step instruction on how the plot will move forward (Hence why I’m hesitant to claim Ambessa revealing the truth as akin to Lady Macbeth seems like a stable idea- It does not). I do however think there is intentionality behind adding in Macbeth symbolism, and I fully believe that some parts of the play will parallel with the plot of season 2.

Bubbles and foam
Summary: Reader is the youngest of the six mermaid princess that presided the Great Sea. As the reader goes above water on her birthday, a certain prince catches her eyes and now she seeks an immortal soul. However, unknown tragedy befalls on the young mermaid.
Warning: angst. mentions of death.
Word Count: 3,984
A/N: This is based on Hans Andersen’s version. Had to tweak some details to make it more appropriate lol. I’ve been so sad lately I don’t feel like writing smut for a while.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Grandmama was always there for you and your five sisters. Grandmama says that when a mermaid reaches the age of 18, she would be able to swim up to the surface and explore.
“When you have reached your eighteenth year,” said grandmama, “you will have permission to rise up out of the sea, to sit on the rocks in the moonlight, while the great ships are sailing by; and then you will see both forests and towns.”
You’ve watched your sisters do it. One by one they’d go up and come back down to tell their experience.
“I saw a ship! It was big and all I could hear was the humans talk!” One of your sisters said.
The Sea King loved his daughters so much that he gave them each individually a garden. Ever since your sisters went up ashore, they’d collect human objects and store them in their gardens.
But you? You didn’t.
Your sea garden was adorned with flowers. All varieties of what the ocean could provide. But right at the center of your garden, stood a statue of a boy.
The white porcelain glowing under the sea’s light, showcasing the broad shoulders, a sharp square jaw as his eyes looked straight ahead. The statue was beautiful.
When your 18th birthday came up, you were granted permission to go up the surface and see the world beyond the sea for yourself. It was winter time and the sea was green. Icebergs floating around as ships passed by.
“Well, now, you are grown up,” said Grandmama, “so you must let me adorn you like your other sisters.”
Grandmama adorned your hair with white lilies and eight oysters to your tail.
“But they hurt me so,” you said as you felt the pinch of the oysters close in on your scales.
“Pride must suffer pain,” she replied as she swam back to get a good look at you. The oysters added royalty to your rank as princess. The white lilies made your hair stand out as they were as big as pearls.
“Farewell,” she said before letting you swim away.
As you swam up to the surface, you instantly felt the emptiness of what is called air. Sun had just set as your head made it out of the surface. Your hair stuck to your skin as your eyes marveled the sky. The gold and orange colors of the clouds being quite the sight as the waters were calm at this time. But, at the corner of your eye, you spotted a ship.
At first, you didn’t believe your sisters. Ships could float? You’d wonder. They always ended up shipwrecked at the bottom and you were sure that maybe humans were odd.
But to your surprise, your sisters were all right. The ship was giant and you could hear make voices scream and shout at they partied. The boat was decorated with royal artifacts, gold embedded on the railing of the ship and other shiny items you weren’t sure what they were.
You swam close to the ship and through a small peephole, you noticed a young prince. It was the statue in your garden!
Your eyes widened and you instantly felt your heart beat faster. Hands gripping tightly around the hardened wood-boards as you fell in love. His blonde hair swaying with the wind as it had become nighttime. His icy blue eyes in small a crescent as he smiled and laughed with his crew. His smile, the pearly white teeth shinning bright as diamonds. He was magnificent. You couldn’t help but admire the young prince.
But soon, the waves of the ocean began to run rampant against the sides of the ship. Slowly rocking it side to side as a storm was approaching. Darks clouds encapsulated what was once a beautiful and bright night. Flashes of white resonated against the sky as sounds of thunder could be heard.
You saw as the sailors ran to their posts around the deck, trying their best to keep the boat from tilting and rolling over. The prince showed up and helped around as best as he could.
However hard they tried to keep the ship from topping over, the ship began to sink as the rain poured down. Thunder crashing against one of the flags, igniting it on fire. The boat rocked mercilessly and soon all sailors fell into the ocean.
You were delighted when you say the prince fall into the ocean, thinking he’d finally join you. But to your dismay, you remembered he was human and he couldn’t live under water with you.
And so you jumped back into the ocean and swam towards where his body was sinking.
His eyes were closed as his body slowly sank lower and lower until your hands wrapped around his torso and you began to pull him up. You swam your hardest as you pulled the prince up shore, into a temple.
Morning came soon as you remained by the prince’s side on the shore. Your lips softly planted a kiss on his forehead as you brushed his wet blonde hair back, admiring his beauty as he was still unconscious.
“He’s so… beautiful,” you whispered to yourself.
Church bells rang and you quickly swam back into the ocean, hiding behind a rock as you stayed to watch over the prince. Upon hearing the voice of a girl, your curiosity got piqued and you saw that a group of women panicked and quickly aided the prince.
The prince woke up and smiled at the girls, not knowing that you were the one who saved him. This made you unhappy.
You watched as the girls brought the prince inside the church and you couldn’t help but feel heartbroken. You sorrowfully swam back into the ocean, wishing the prince had seen you and acknowledged your effort.
Your sisters asked you what you saw but you kept your mouth shut. Days passed and you’d swim back to the shore where you left the prince, hoping to see him once more.
Your garden outgrew since that day after you’ve stopped attending to it, relenting in your own sorrow as you kept coming back to the marble statue. Flinging your arms around him as you pretended it was the prince’s warm skin.
The pain was too much that you told one of your sisters but of course, she’d told the other sisters about your fancy.
However, one princess had a friend who had seen the prince’s palace. And so your sister took you up to the surface and showed where his castle stood.
You’d watch the prince as you sat on a rock in the ocean ever since she showed you his castle. You’d watch him through the windows as he went about his day.
But he just didn’t know about you. About how you had saved his life. About how you had kissed him.
Your curiosity for humans only increased the longer you sat by the rocks on the shore and observed the prince and the sailors. You wanted to know more about them and what they do. You wanted to be able to experience so many things. But could you?
“If human beings are not drowned,” you asked grandmama, “can they live forever? do they never die as we do here in the sea?”
“Yes,” replied grandmama, “they must also die, and their term of life is even shorter than ours. We sometimes live to three hundred years, but when we cease to exist here we only become the foam on the surface of the water, and we have not even a grave down here of those we love. We have not immortal souls, we shall never live again; but, like the green sea-weed, when once it has been cut off, we can never flourish more. Human beings, on the contrary, have a soul which lives forever, lives after the body has been turned to dust. It rises up through the clear, pure air beyond the glittering stars. As we rise out of the water, and behold all the land of the earth, so do they rise to unknown and glorious regions which we shall never see.”
“Why have not we an immortal soul? I would give gladly all the hundreds of years that I have to live, to be a human being only for one day, and to have the hope of knowing the happiness of that glorious world above the stars,” you asked.
“You must not think of that,” she replied, “we feel ourselves to be much happier and much better off than human beings.”
“So I shall die,” you said, “and as the foam of the sea I shall be driven about never again to hear the music of the waves, or to see the pretty flowers nor the red sun. Is there anything I can do to win an immortal soul?”
“No,” said the old woman, “unless a man were to love you so much that you were more to him than his father or mother; and if all his thoughts and all his love were fixed upon you, and the priest placed his right hand in yours, and he promised to be true to you here and hereafter, then his soul would glide into your body and you would obtain a share in the future happiness of mankind. He would give a soul to you and retain his own as well; but this can never happen. Your fish’s tail, which amongst us is considered so beautiful, is thought on earth to be quite ugly; they do not know any better, and they think it necessary to have two stout props, which they call legs, in order to be handsome.”
Looking down at your tail, you couldn’t help but feel like everything was a waste. An end to things. You didn’t want to stop loving him but could you even do so in the first place?
There a ball going on the palace but you found yourself away from the party and in your garden, admiring the statue of the prince you so wish you could love.
But- not all was lost.
“He is certainly sailing above, he on whom my wishes depend, and in whose hands I should like to place the happiness of my life. I will venture all for him, and to win an immortal soul, while my sisters are dancing in my father’s palace, I will go to the sea witch, of whom I have always been so much afraid, but she can give me counsel and help.”
The sea witch was one of the most powerful sea beings known to the ocean floor. Living through neighborhoods of whirlpools and populated seaweeds, you finally had made your way to the witch’s house. Made of bones of the remnants of shipwrecks.
“I know what you want,” said the sea witch; “it is very stupid of you, but you shall have your way, and it will bring you to sorrow, my pretty princess. You want to get rid of your fish’s tail, and to have two supports instead of it, like human beings on earth, so that the young prince may fall in love with you, and that you may have an immortal soul.”
She said as she felt you walk into her home.
“You are but just in time,” said the witch; “for after sunrise to-morrow I should not be able to help you till the end of another year. I will prepare a draught for you, with which you must swim to land tomorrow before sunrise, and sit down on the shore and drink it. Your tail will then disappear, and shrink up into what mankind calls legs, and you will feel great pain, as if a sword were passing through you. But all who see you will say that you are the prettiest little human being they ever saw. You will still have the same floating gracefulness of movement, and no dancer will ever tread so lightly; but at every step you take it will feel as if you were treading upon sharp knives, and that the blood must flow. If you will bear all this, I will help you.”
“Yes, I will.”
“But think again,” said the witch, “for when once your shape has become like a human being, you can no more be a mermaid. You will never return through the water to your sisters, or to your father’s palace again; and if you do not win the love of the prince, so that he is willing to forget his father and mother for your sake, and to love you with his whole soul, and allow the priest to join your hands that you may be man and wife, then you will never have an immortal soul. The first morning after he marries another your heart will break, and you will become foam on the crest of the waves.”
“I will do it.”
“But I must be paid also,” said the witch, “and it is not a trifle that I ask. You have the sweetest voice of any who dwell here in the depths of the sea, and you believe that you will be able to charm the prince with it also, but this voice you must give to me; the best thing you possess will I have for the price of my draught. My own blood must be mixed with it, that it may be as sharp as a two-edged sword.”
“But if you take away my voice,” you asked the sea witch, “what is left for me?”
“Your beautiful form, your graceful walk, and your expressive eyes; surely with these you can enchain a man’s heart. Well, have you lost your courage? Put out your little tongue that I may cut it off as my payment; then you shall have the powerful draught.”
“It shall be.”
The sea witch concocted the potion and with a switch motion, she cut your tongue and dropped it in her fiery cauldron. She mixed until she had poured the potion into the bottle.
However, she had warned you about the dangers that would come from swimming up to the surface with your new body. The pain and pressure of it all.
You took the draught and with speed, swam up to the surface and drank the potion. It felt as if you had been stabbed. You felt your tail openly split into two but the pain became so unbearable that you had fallen unconscious on the shore.
As you woke up when the sun shined down on you, you felt a sharp pain shoot through your body. You looked down and saw that you had legs!
The sea witch wasn’t kidding!
Before you, stood the prince. His blonde hair swaying from the wind as his blue eyes stared down at you. He offered his hand to help you up and you gladly took it.
“Who are you and where do you come from,” he asked
But not being able to talk let you to keep those questions unanswered.
The prince didn’t seem to mind. Instead, he had helped you up by wrapped an arm around your waist and taking you back to his castle where the servants dressed you in silk robes.
One particular day, you decided to try and capture the prince’s heart. There was performance happening in the court, people were singing and dancing as the prince watched it all along with the king and queen.
But then you raised your hand and volunteered to be the next person to perform. The music played as your feet dragged along the floor gracefully. Your dance movements capturing the prince’s attention, he became enchanted with you.
And ever since, the prince has granted you permission to stay with him. You’d go on adventures together through the woods and mountains. He was growing fond of you and took you wherever he wanted.
But even so, your feet hurt. It felt as if you’ve been stepping on glass shards or blades all the time. It was painful but you bared with it.
One night, after the palace had gone to bed, you went to shore to meet your sisters who were all sad that you had chosen to become human and never see them again. But that didn’t stop them from visiting you every night.
You fell more in love with the prince.
But he didn’t love you enough to make you his wife.
“You are dear to me,” said the prince; “for you have the best heart, and you are the most devoted to me; you are like a young maiden whom I once saw, but whom I shall never meet again. I was in a ship that was wrecked, and the waves cast me ashore near a holy temple, where several young maidens performed the service. The youngest of them found me on the shore, and saved my life. I saw her but twice, and she is the only one in the world whom I could love; but you are like her, and you have almost driven her image out of my mind. She belongs to the holy temple, and my good fortune has sent you to me instead of her; and we will never part.”
It was cruel. He didn’t love you like you loved him but he still wanted you around.
Days passed and his parents had told him he needed to marry for the sake of a political alliance between their kingdom and another.
I must travel,” he had said to you; “I must see this beautiful princess; my parents desire it; but they will not oblige me to bring her home as my bride. I cannot love her; she is not like the beautiful maiden in the temple, whom you resemble. If I were forced to choose a bride, I would rather choose you, my dumb foundling, with those expressive eyes.”
He then brought his lips to your lips and kissed you softly.
The town was beautiful. A kingdom that you had never seen before. As the king entered the parlance to see the king, you followed behind and marveled at the foreign castle.
The king and the prince patiently waited for the princess to arrive, many have said that the princess had been raised and educated in a church.
And then she arrived.
She had short black hair and pale skin, her eyes so beautiful and her lips rosy as she walked towards the king. The prince was shocked at seeing the girl who had saved him.
It was you,” said the prince, “who saved my life when I lay dead on the beach,”
He ran up to her and hugged up with all his might. His soon to be bride…
Your heart broke. He was to be married tomorrow morning which meant that you’d die. You had failed to capture the prince’s heart but did you even have a chance at all?
It was the morning of the wedding and the altar had been decorated. All the guests sat as they waited for the bride and groom to enter. What was supposed to be a joyous day became your last day.
You didn’t listen to the festive music nor did you pay attention to anyone talking. Because all you could focus on was him.
You mustered up the courage to dance along the crew even though your feet hurt. But it was nothing compared to the pain in your heart.
This evening was going to be the last and you wanted to spend it all with the prince.
To the one you had sacrificed yourself for.
The prince kissed his bride so dearly and both of them scurried off to sleep on the same tent. Leaving you alone with the silence of the night.
You neared the edge of the railing, waiting for the sun to rise. The first ray of sunlight would be your sign of death. However, you saw your sisters climb up the water and speak to you.
“We have given our hair to the witch,” said they, “to obtain help for you, that you may not die to-night. She has given us a knife: here it is, see it is very sharp. Before the sun rises you must plunge it into the heart of the prince; when the warm blood falls upon your feet they will grow together again, and form into a fish’s tail, and you will be once more a mermaid, and return to us to live out your three hundred years before you die and change into the salt sea foam. Haste, then; he or you must die before sunrise. Our old grandmother moans so for you, that her white hair is falling off from sorrow, as ours fell under the witch’s scissors. Kill the prince and come back; hasten: do you not see the first red streaks in the sky? In a few minutes the sun will rise, and you must die.”
You held the knife in your hands and glance at the tent where the prince and his bride slept in. Upon opening the curtains, you couldn’t do it.
So, you leaned down to kiss the prince’s forehead as he muttered the name of his bride in his sleep.
It would be cruel to take this man away from his love and you weren’t cruel.
You threw the knife at the sea before throwing yourself off as well. Your body turned into foam on the surface of water.
Your spirit floats up into the air and you are being joined by the spirits of other mermaids and the daughters of the air. Your feet hurt no more as you felt yourself become freed from the pain of both your legs and heart.
“Where am I?” You asked
“Among the daughters of the air,” answered one of them. “A mermaid has not an immortal soul, nor can she obtain one unless she wins the love of a human being. On the power of another hangs her eternal destiny. But the daughters of the air, although they do not possess an immortal soul, can, by their good deeds, procure one for themselves. We fly to warm countries, and cool the sultry air that destroys mankind with the pestilence. We carry the perfume of the flowers to spread health and restoration. After we have striven for three hundred years to all the good in our power, we receive an immortal soul and take part in the happiness of mankind. You, poor little mermaid, have tried with your whole heart to do as we are doing; you have suffered and endured and raised yourself to the spirit-world by your good deeds; and now, by striving for three hundred years in the same way, you may obtain an immortal soul.”
The prince and his bride began to look for you but upon seeing the foam on the ocean, they knew you had thrown yourself into your demise, saddened by your death and disappearance. Kissing them goodbye, tears collected in your eyes as you felt the warm embrace of the sun. Sealing your death.
“After three hundred years, thus shall we float into the kingdom of heaven,” said she. “And we may even get there sooner,” whispered one of her companions. “Unseen we can enter the houses of men, where there are children, and for every day on which we find a good child, who is the joy of his parents and deserves their love, our time of probation is shortened. The child does not know, when we fly through the room, that we smile with joy at his good conduct, for we can count one year less of our three hundred years. But when we see a naughty or a wicked child, we shed tears of sorrow, and for every tear a day is added to our time of trial!”

have a dump of thoughts about the mer zuko au in no particular order:
Iroh eventually told the Gaang his nephew's full history- why he was chasing Aang in the first place, and, most notably- how he got his scar. It... actually manages to somewhat improve their impression of Zuko- while also making their impression of his father even worse.
Like, they knew Ozai was evil. but wow. that guy is EVIL evil.
after her defeat at Ba Sing Se, the Earth King's generals attempt to use Azula as the grounds for a prisoner exchange... but Ozai never responds. he has simply abandoned her.
(azula does not take this news well)
(mai's uncle, however, does very quietly arrange for a prisoner exchange for his niece right under ozai's nose)
(azula doesn't take that very well either)
despite his initial resistance to it, Zuko does eventually start to actually bond with the Gaang outside of Toph. he and Katara end up with a shared interest in cleaning up the Fire Nation's many polluted rivers.
(katara and aang don't get to do ecoterrorism in this au. sad.)
azula thinks her uncle is pulling her leg when he tells her what happened to zuko... at least until she sees him for herself.
azula: uncle! you should have told me sooner. this would have fixed my mental breakdown entirely.
zuko: it could be worse. the ocean spirit could have made me a waterbender too.
katara: what's that supposed to mean?
zuko: uhhhhhh
plot twist: the guy who chased you all over the world turns out to be incredibly awkward
zuko tricks sokka into 'holding your breath underwater' contests way too many times. sokka, you're not going to win. he can breathe underwater.
aang, you're not going to win either.
zuko: wait. so if yue becomes the moon spirit if anything happens to it, will I become the ocean spirit if something happens to it?
aang: probably!
zuko: ugh.
iroh WILL be cleaning up that ember island beachhouse. for zuko's sake.
many theorize that prince zuko is afraid of the ocean after his near death experience. this is why he never goes anywhere near it.
zuko: <-----guy who will turn back into a merman if he gets wet enough
toph and aang help earthbend a secret tunnel down to the ocean from zuko's quarters at the palace. aang decides this is the PERFECT time to teach toph and zuko the secret tunnel song.
zuko: thanks, I hate it.
iroh: ...how do I explain to the palace chefs that my nephew is carnivorous now?
the palace chefs: prince zuko eats a concerning amount of fish these days. i don't believe we've seen him eat a single vegetable since he returned home.
local merman gets really into water tribe fish dishes.
yue: (complaining about hahn)
zuko: i think you should kill him
yue: that is tempting...

Random Twisted Wonderland Headcanons I have that I feel the need to share with the world, sucks to be anyone reading this!
KALIM
Kalim wasn't going to be invited to NRC, obviously, since he didn't have "exemplary" magic, as either Jamil or Crowley said in the game (I forgot which, FORGIVE ME), but it's clear that he would have been accepted into Royal Sword Academy due to his nature.
Kalim's family knew that Kalim would have been safer at Royal Sword, but they also knew that the school wouldn't accept their "donations" as well. Plus, they knew Jamil was going to NRC, and knew how much Kalim had bonded to the boy.
And, obviously, Jamil would be more than happy to watch over Kalim and ensure that he gets better at magic and has a good time, right? So off to NRC you go, Kalim! Oh, lookie here, you're in the same dorm as Jamil now! How convenient!
So, to sum it up, the Asim family made sure Kalim got into NRC despite the "dangerous" students because they knew Jamil would be there to protect and serve him. Ouchies

Two different kinds of merfolk- sirens and fishfolk (aka, the kinds of merfolk desended from animals-- not sure what to call them, so fisfolk is a placeholder lol--, like the tweels and Azul). Sort of the same vibe as Beastmen and humans
While it's not technically cannibalism for a "fishfolk" to eat the creature they're descended from, a lot of cultures believe it to be a sin to do so, and some just get the willies from it.
Nudity is really not a big deal to merfolk. Like, most of them don't wear clothes, and those that do only wear robes and stuff to symbolize their class/status in society underwater. On land, they have to have a crash course in how to wear clothes and what to wear when. Floyd was very prone to accidentally forget to wear clothes and wander the halls of Octavinelle naked during his freshman year (much to the horror of his dorm members)
The Merfolk don't eat each other 24/7, nor pose as much of a threat to each other as wild animals do- some find it extremely offensive that land-dwellers assume all mer-predators eat whatever other merpeople they can sink their teeth into. They live together in a society similar to the one on land. Of course, the elements and wild creatures pose more of a threat to them than natural land-predators, but the merfolk themselves aren't in the habit of killing one another.
HOWEVER, there is a special law amongst them that if another merperson is causing undue harm to them/a loved one, murder is justified. And, of course, they must consume the flesh of the merperson killed and send the head back to the killed one's family for closure reasons. They may not eat each other that often, but in the Ocean, it's more natural and well-accepted to eat whoever you killed (in self-defense, ofc, if it wasn't in self-defense, then you are going to JAIL, queen!) to show that you respected the fight they put up and to honor their memory. It's more of an ancient tradition that's now just a part of what they do.
HEARSLABYUL
This one was brought to me in a VISION (aka me reading part 3 of Cater's Vignette for one of his cards when I noticed the background Heartslabyul students all had Suit characters on their faces)
All of the dorm members are assigned a "card suit" after their orientation- this suit is determined by the Housewarden (who is assigned the role of the "king/queen" of the dorm and doesn't need a suit), who bases his decision off of the personality of the student, their grades, and their ambitions. No one but the Housewarden knows why they're put in the suit they are.
There's a big initiation ceremony when the Housewarden finishes deciding the Suits for the freshmen, and they host a special ceremony in their dorm's yard that involves a series of tasks for the freshmen to go through- involving a maze-run with juniors chasing after them, a hedgehog obstacle course, and a special game that the Housewarden makes per year off of one of the Queen of Heart's rules. Once the initiation ceremony is done, and the suits are given to each freshmen, they will then be responsible for painting their suit on their face wherever they want to for the rest of their time on campus.
IGNIHYDE
For most Housewardens, a student needs to challenge the existing housewarden and duel them to claim their title.
For Ignihyde, they do things differently. Because they're all more skilled in technology for the most part, they'll have a challenge to see who can build something the best (whether it be a robot, a toy machine, etc etc- the decision of what to make will be voted on by the dorm members). At the end of the challenge, all of the students in the dorm will vote on who did the best- but they aren't told which invention was made by whom as to avoid favoritism, and boom! That's the new Dorm Leader.
Idia brought Ortho into the dorm and everyone just assumed that that was his challenge to the existing dorm leader LMAO
It really wasn't....but the current dorm leader was so in awe of Ortho and Idia's intelligence that he gave up his position (practically forcing it into Idia lol) for him.

The Volturi kings meeting reader who is a deep sea mermaid and is just amazed because she didn’t know there was more than just the dark ocean she lived in
❝curiosity killed the cat or mermaid in this case❞
Tumblr media
✭ pairing : volturi kings x mermaid reader
✭ fandom : twilight
✭ summary : (y/n) is what’s known as a mermaid, an mythical creature that humans believed to be made up fairytale stories. Her clan always warned her to never wander to close to the oceans surface for bad things happen to mermaids who do, if only she had listened.
✭ authors note : I already pre wrote this story in my head from when I seen this request :) the first twilight masterlist got filled up so I made another

(Y/N) was a mermaid unlike any other in her clan. While her fellow merfolk were content with their deep-sea existence, she had an insatiable curiosity about the world above the ocean's surface. The shimmering sunlight that filtered down from the top always fascinated her, casting dancing patterns of light in the depths where she lived.
However, (Y/N) had been warned time and time again by her clan about the dangers that lurked near the surface. They spoke of mysterious creatures that roamed the shallows, perilous storms that could send a mermaid spiraling into the abyss, and humans who were relentless in their pursuit of the underwater world.
Despite the warnings, her desire to explore the surface world only grew stronger with each passing day. She spent her free moments studying the patterns of light, listening to the songs of seagulls above, and dreaming of what lay beyond the boundary that separated her from the surface.
One fateful day, her curiosity became too powerful to resist. She decided to venture closer to the surface than she ever had before, her heart pounding with excitement and trepidation. She swam upwards, her tail gliding effortlessly through the water, until she found herself dangerously close to the surface.
As she breached the water's edge and her head broke through to the surface, (Y/N) marveled at the world above. The sensation of the sun warming her skin was unlike anything she had ever experienced. The world was different up here—vast, open, and filled with colors she had never seen in her underwater realm.
But her joy was short-lived. Just as she was about to dive back down to the safety of her underwater home, a sudden, painful tug on her tail sent shockwaves of fear through her. She struggled against an unseen force, but it was too late. (Y/N) had been captured in a fishing net.
Panicking, she thrashed and twisted in the net's grasp, but it held her firmly. Her heart pounded in her chest as she realized the gravity of her situation. She had ventured too close to the surface, and now she was at the mercy of whatever creature had ensnared her.
As the moon hung high in the night sky, casting an eerie glow over the Volturi's ancient castle, Ronaldo, the traveling Norman vampire, stood before the imposing gates, seeking an audience with the Volturi leaders. His request had been granted, and now he wheeled a large, water-filled tank into the dimly lit chamber where the Volturi convened.
The room was shrouded in shadows, and the Volturi leaders, Aro, Caius, and Marcus, sat upon their thrones, their crimson eyes piercing the darkness. (Y/N), curled up in the tank, shimmered like a moonlit pearl in the dim light, her beauty and strangeness taking the Volturi by surprise.
Aro, the most enigmatic of the three leaders, leaned forward, his eyes fixated on the captive mermaid. "What do we have here?" he inquired, his voice dripping with curiosity.
Ronaldo, ever the salesman, grinned and began to recount the legends of mermaids from human lore. He spoke of their captivating beauty, their ethereal songs that lured sailors to their doom, and the countless tales of their existence. His storytelling skills were as smooth as his negotiations, and he had the Volturi leaders captivated.
"What is it you desire in exchange for this extraordinary creature?" Aro asked, his gaze never leaving (Y/N).
Ronaldo's eyes gleamed with a mixture of desperation and cunning. "My freedom," he replied without hesitation. "I know you have been hunting me for my past transgressions against your kind. I will hand over the mermaid to you in exchange for my release."
Aro's fingers steepled in thought as he considered the offer. He was intrigued by the prospect of possessing such a rare and mystical creature, and Ronaldo's freedom seemed a small price to pay. "Very well," he agreed. "We have a deal."
Ronaldo breathed a sigh of relief, his gamble having paid off. He knew that his own fate had been hanging by a thread, and the mermaid had become his lifeline.
Once the transaction was completed, Ronaldo left the chamber, the tank left ominously behind him. Unbeknownst to him, Aro had no intention of letting him escape unscathed. The Volturi had their reputation to uphold, and no one defied them without consequences.
After Ronaldo had left the castle, Aro gave a sinister smile. He turned to his loyal guards, Demetri and Felix, and issued a chilling command. "Follow him. Ensure he doesn't make it far. Oh and make sure Ronaldo does not survive his very unfortunate…accident.”
With unwavering obedience, Demetri and Felix departed, their dark forms disappearing into the night as they set out to fulfill Aro's orders, leaving the fate of Ronaldo and the mermaid hanging in the balance.
As the realization dawned that (Y/N) was scared, Marcus, the most taciturn of the Volturi leaders, spoke up, his voice carrying a hint of empathy. "She's terrified," he observed, his eyes focused on the mermaid's curled-up form in the tank.
Aro, however, was not one to be deterred by fear. He was determined to have the mermaid as part of his collection, and her fear was an obstacle he intended to overcome. "Fear won't do," he declared, his voice commanding.
With a flick of his hand, he summoned some of the lowly guards that stood nearby. "Fix up the garden," Aro ordered them. "Prepare a suitable place for our new acquisition."
The guards hurriedly obeyed, scurrying to the Volturi's garden. There, they prepared a large, elegantly designed pond, its waters reflecting the pale moonlight. Once the garden was to Aro's satisfaction, they wheeled the tank containing (Y/N) to the pond's edge and carefully lowered it in.
As soon as the tank was submerged in the saltwater pond, (Y/N) sensed her opportunity for escape. She wasted no time and swiftly swam out of the tank, her lithe form disappearing into the depths of the pond. Her mermaid instincts guided her, and she found solace in the cool, familiar embrace of the saltwater.
Aro, not one to be outwitted, addressed (Y/N) directly, his thoughts projecting into her mind. "Dear mermaid, I mean you no harm. We merely seek your company and your unique presence." His words were accompanied by a sensation of reassurance and curiosity.
But (Y/N) was not easily swayed. Her instincts and her fear of the unknown prevailed. She refused to heed Aro's words, choosing to stay hidden at the pond's bottom, her tail camouflaged among the aquatic plants.
Aro's efforts to cloak her presence and win her trust proved fruitless, and he could only watch as the enigmatic mermaid remained hidden from sight, her secrets and her destiny her own to protect.
Days turned into weeks, and (Y/N) found herself settled in the Volturi's garden, beneath the moonlit sky, surrounded by the grandeur of the ancient castle. The kings of the Volturi had made it a habit to visit her, each with their own approach to her peculiar presence.
Aro, ever the strategist, was persistent in his attempts to communicate with her. He visited the pond regularly, his thoughts reaching out to her. "Dear mermaid," he would say, "I am genuinely curious about your kind. Do you have a name?"
However, (Y/N) remained steadfast in her silence. Her oceanic gaze remained fixed on the pond's depths, her secrets guarded by her enigmatic presence.
Caius, on the other hand, was a man of few words. He would visit the pond and simply stare at her for hours. His crimson eyes bore into her, and she could feel the weight of his scrutiny. There was an intensity about him that sent shivers down her spine, but he never spoke a word to her.
It was Marcus, the third and often overlooked leader of the Volturi, who approached (Y/N) in a different manner. He would sit quietly nearby, bringing books from his extensive library. He read out loud to her, his deep voice resonating through the garden.
The books he chose were tales of ancient love and legends of the sea, and he read them with a melancholic grace. He didn't ask questions or seek answers, but his presence was a soothing one. It was as if he understood the mermaid's need for companionship, even if it was only in the form of his voice.
As the nights passed, (Y/N) grew accustomed to the routine of her existence within the Volturi's garden. The vampire kings' visits were as mysterious as they were intriguing, and the ancient castle held more secrets than she could fathom. Yet, she remained a silent enigma, her presence a source of fascination and curiosity for the Volturi leaders.
A month had passed since (Y/N) had been captured by the Volturi, and her time in their garden had settled into a peculiar rhythm. She had grown accustomed to the vampire kings' visits, and although she remained mostly silent, their presence had become a strange sort of companionship.
On this particular evening, as Marcus sat beside the pond with a book in his hands, (Y/N) decided to break her silence. The book in question was an archaeology tome, filled with intricate details about ancient civilizations and their mysterious ruins.
Curiosity had finally gotten the best of her, and she swam up to the surface of the pond, her azure eyes fixed on Marcus. "What is that book about?" she asked, her voice a melodious echo.
Marcus turned to her, his eyes holding a hint of surprise. It was the first time she had spoken in his presence. "It's a book about archaeology," he replied in his deep, soothing voice. "It delves into the mysteries of ancient civilizations and their remarkable ruins."
Intrigued, (Y/N) pressed further. "Tell me more," she urged.
With a nod, Marcus closed the book and set it aside. "This book, in particular, discusses the Mayan ruins of the Holy Land. The Mayans were a fascinating civilization, known for their advanced knowledge of astronomy, mathematics, and intricate city planning."
As he spoke, (Y/N) listened with rapt attention, her curiosity piqued by the wealth of knowledge Marcus possessed. The world of the surface, so distant and unknown to her, seemed to hold countless wonders waiting to be explored, and the vampire's words painted vivid images in her mind.
For the first time since her capture, (Y/N) felt a spark of connection, not just to the vampire before her, but to the world above the surface, a world of ancient civilizations and untold stories waiting to be discovered.
The next day, as the sun dipped below the horizon, Aro paid his customary visit to the garden. He approached the pond with his usual air of intrigue, expecting the same silent presence from the mermaid.
But as he drew near, (Y/N) surprised him by speaking. Her voice was soft and tinged with a hint of curiosity. "You are back," she said, her eyes fixed on him.
Aro, taken aback by her words, responded in kind, "And you are speaking."
They sat in a brief, somewhat awkward silence, both processing the unexpected turn of events. Aro's fascination with the mermaid had only grown since her arrival, and now her ability to communicate added another layer of intrigue.
After a moment, (Y/N) felt compelled to break the silence once more. She hesitated for a moment before finally revealing, "My name is (Y/N)."
Aro's crimson eyes studied her, a faint smile touching his lips as he absorbed this newfound information. "It is a pleasure to finally know your name, (Y/N)," he replied.
But before any further conversation could unfold, (Y/N) suddenly felt a wave of shyness wash over her. Without another word, she swung her tail and gracefully slipped beneath the surface of the pond, disappearing into the depths once more, leaving Aro alone by the water's edge, pondering the enigma that was the mermaid named (Y/N).
As the moonlight cast a silvery glow over the Volturi's garden, (Y/N) found herself seated on a large rock by the pond. Her mermaid tail glistened as she meticulously cleaned it, her slender fingers running through the scales with care.
Caius, drawn by his usual fascination with the mysterious mermaid, had come to watch her again. He approached her quietly, his crimson eyes fixed on her as he observed her delicate task. But this time, a pressing question weighed on his mind.
"How did you get captured by a coward like Ronaldo?" Caius asked, his voice carrying a hint of curiosity and disdain.
(Y/N) paused in her task, her gaze shifting to meet Caius's piercing stare. She took a deep breath before answering, "My clan has always warned us not to venture too close to the surface. But my curiosity got the best of me, and I swam higher than I should have. That's when Ronaldo captured me."
Caius listened intently to her explanation, his features impassive. He, too, had a sense of disdain for Ronaldo, but he was more interested in understanding (Y/N)'s perspective.
"Do you ever miss your clan?" he asked, the question surprisingly gentle.
(Y/N) nodded, her eyes momentarily clouded with sadness. "Every day," she admitted softly. "I miss the deep ocean and the songs of my kin."
Caius, for all his coldness, seemed to sense the depth of her longing. He didn't press further but simply nodded in understanding. With that, he turned and left the garden, leaving (Y/N) to her quiet contemplation by the pond, as the mysteries of her past and her future continued to intertwine with the enigmatic world of the Volturi.

Where had he gone?
That question, short and simple, that could be answered in two or even a single paragraph, had run through your mind for so long that it seemed like it already knew where each nerve was, where your darkest sorrows were hidden, or where the heart lay. memory of that man whom you admired so much at the time.
Havik was his name; You still had the memory of when you saw him for the first time, someone quite tall, hair that gave off strands that barely followed an order, a stupid smile on his face - which, it should be noted, his lack of emotions when he walked away from you - and acting nervous when talking to you.
That's how he was, as stupid as a king in love, as kind as a vase when manipulating the stems of a flower, and as sweet in simple acts as company was on a fearful afternoon, or help in moments of crisis. .
It was because of that—or perhaps, because of the change of letters on each card—that, when you saw him again, with that mask covering his jaw, there was only one question running through your head.
Where had he gone? Who was this strange being that had the audacity to invade the body of your loved one? Of all the people in the world, why specifically him? And his face, fearful and even aggressive at the moment your hands appeared between his two cheeks, only showed a feature that you were lucky enough to see at the moment of his departure; the horror.
Whether it be to the unknown, or to how horrific the journey that he was forced to undertake was going to be when he left his hometown, or even to this moment, where the emotions have such an overwhelming size that it is frightening, that it causes such feeling in his heart—which seemed to have turned to stone after so many months away—that softens his soul, but that generates earthquakes in his mind.
He felt rotten, after so much time alone, after so much pain without being shared, and from such burns that it makes one believe that they would never heal, he felt as if throughout the trip, he had suffered a metamorphosis, one such that At this point, it caused everything to go to hell.
He never wanted to allow himself to love, but with you everything was different, with you it always had to be different, perhaps because the gods wanted it that way, or perhaps because fate, always cruel and cold, decided to condemn his soul to this torment. . The torment of seeing you from afar, of knowing that he had become a monster, a strange creature and that he had no place in his town, and, going even further, that he changed both his physical appearance and his soul, as well as his thinking. , like his belief that, even in the darkest moments, there was a way out.
But. that light never seemed to exist, or at least when that witch, so vile and deceitful, ruined all his hopes to nothing, submerged all his innocent thoughts of keeping you safe in an ocean of pain, from which there seemed to be no escape.
So ugly and cruel was the reality that he had to take days to accept that the path was the most difficult, however, that was never mentioned in the letters. The same ones, so sweet and tender they were, that it seemed like he was playing with your mind, that he was tricking your head, that he was writing a fairy tale so that you wouldn't escape from his grasp, much less from the reach of his arms.
However, Havik also learned to be cruel, so cruel that, more than one night, he happily fantasized about destroying those suitors who dared to touch what was his, longing to steal a heart that belonged to him, and seeking to generate in you a feeling of apathy for him.
But, in poetic words he was expert; so many days dedicated just to writing to you, so many spelling mistakes fixed, and so many papers thrown into the trash solely because they did not meet his expectations of expressing his growing and throbbing love in every drop of his blood for you.
Maybe it was his eccentricity to deceive you, or his professionalism when it came to expressing his affection for you in every letter that you fell into the trap of his arms, in the obsessive ties tied to his soul, and in the eccentric loves that decided to torment everyone. and each of your thoughts.
It was exceedingly painful for you to see how different it was when he saw you again; the look in his eyes when he simply saw your figure again in the darkness made you foolishly believe that he was the same as he was when he was gone. However, it was when his arms trapped you in an immovable grip that you noticed something was wrong.
He had that pleasure of wrapping his arms around you, of laying his head against your hair or simply allowing him, so desperate and eager to free people from him, to receive even a token of affection, a small sign that he was doing everything right, a piece of reality, which was that you were with him, that you were there to receive him with a hug, and that, above all, the relationship that for years was seen as tender, continued to lie. same love that they felt for each other, that affection still existed, that energy of showing love, that joy that generates in the heart of the other to be in the presence of the one whom they considered was the destiny of their life.
“They are going to be freed,” he had whispered to you, “finally, the bastards will be gone.” he assures you, as if it were a wish that had finally come true. And as he joyfully intoned and highlighted how far he had come to fulfill his goal of freedom, your happy grimace twisted, protesting and alert to each of his words.
“What bastards?” You asked him “Are you talking about the wizard you had helped or…?”, you tried to continue questioning, but your mind clicked quickly.
You weren't exactly known for being smart, let alone being able to fully understand Havik. Even with all the time of friendship, or all the years of affection and sweet moments that you shared between the two of you, there was something that you always tried to ignore; that black stain which seemed to expand with the passing of the years, that sign of corruption which was only a small sign that maybe, and just maybe, the thoughts that lay on his mind were not as sweet and kind as you. you believed for so many years of stubbornness and lies. And of course, when seeing the reality, it was already too late.
Your screams were heard only by him and by Rain, who was the direct cause of so much blood and corpses scattered across the well-built terrain of your city, your town, your people, your beloved people whose lives had been so important to you how to breathe and release the air from your lungs. Your sobs, useless and exasperating, were the cause of Havik's anger, who seemed not to understand your desperation and anger.
The screams turned to pushing, pulling, and too soon, hitting you to try to subdue you, and it was soon when you ripped the mask from his jaw. His burned face, his angry countenance that could only be noticed by the tilt and expression of his eyebrows and the color that formed around his eyelids, only provoked even more terror in your soul.
This wasn't Havik, you repeated over and over in your mind. This is not my man, you screamed at your heart as he punches you in anger. Each spank against your skin was like a direct stab to your feelings. “I did this for us!” he shouted at you, but you couldn't hear him clearly, your sobs of pain and desperate attempts to try to escape him were as useless as a lamb's attempt to escape from a hunting wolf.
Again and again, the blows and expressions extended to reality by his lips caused your soul to tremble in horror. Something had happened to your much-loved man, whom you called the love of your life, the man who you had so claimed that he was going to be yours for eternity, and that you would belong to him until the end of time.
Of course there was a reality in those words; You were going to belong to this cruel man, even with all the horror, the screams and the storm that hit the city and the corpses that lay beneath the depths of the magic-tinged water, along with the screams of horror of the people who were victims. During the dark night where no one could return to their bed and rest as they deserved, you were going to be an object, a small, manipulable and weak object, whose openings caused by so many blows had to be covered by countless bandages.
But before everything escalated, the tan-skinned man's magic forced him away from you with a crash.
Even with all the damage already caused, and all the deaths that occurred during the few minutes that your “punishment” lasted for the futile attempt to make that man understand the mistake he was making, he had quickly reached the state of repentance.
Even with your attempt to speak, it was difficult for the man whose name you didn't know to try to understand your speech, and only Havik's aggressive and understandable reaction reminded Rain how dangerous it was to try to prevent you from being hurt further. The fight, inevitable even at such a crucial moment in the people's “liberation” from the forcibly established order, spread, but it was obvious that it was already useless to try to reason at such an important moment.
It was the first and last time Havik forgave Rain for anything, and it even took him a few hours to realize how much he had gone too far when it came to hitting your face. But at that point, his mind, having the room of rottenness so normalized, just decided to “let it go.”
It was painful to remember that you were about to faint as buildings fell on your friends, where your family searched for you all over the city even on the brink of collapse and so close to death, and knowing that, even if you had tried, you wouldn't have managed to even move a hair on the man who looked so hurt by the experiences he gained after such a long trip, much less knocking down his companion.
The only memory you had after such savage blows was hearing his voice, that voice that had made you crazy with love for so long, and that now only caused terror in your heart.
Days passed until your eyes opened again, and the bed, the worn walls, the sheet that covered your skin and the bandages so poorly fitted that they seemed to have been hastily made were not part of your room, nor of your house, or anywhere in your house. And the rough footsteps in the distance reminded you of that man, no, that monster who had ruined what meant so much to you.
Disgusting, was what you thought when he treated you with all the kindness he could, and your serious expression demonstrated the obviousness of your anger, and even in your crude attempt to pretend that you were just looking to “get used” to your new life, there was only a look of anger on your face.
No, of course Havik was not easy to fool —or at least that was what you believed during your first days in your new home—, much less when he was able to weaken you and generate a trauma in your mind, one such that it could reduce your mind to nothing if he shown even a little cruelty.
It was horrible knowing that you had been deceived, so many hours, days, months dedicating yourself to knowing if he was alive, if he still loved you, if he still planned to return to your arms and whisper in your ear how much he loved you. All thrown down the drain the moment you realized his horrendous cruelty.
For countless nights you planned the escape of your life, but each attempt was worse than the last, and it was even more difficult when he seemed so calm when you simply didn't say anything or beg to be released. Of course, when something was wrong, he had to force himself on you through fear, and obviously, you were too manipulable for him at that point.
Without daily exercise in those four walls you lost your strength, there was no room for magic, much less a measly attempt to stab him. Everything was so useless at that point that it seemed impossible to escape.
But a ray of light crossed your life when the chains managed to soften his overwhelming grip after resisting your struggles for so long, and by then, you managed to escape during that time. Your feet against the twigs on the ground, and your gaze fixed on various animals that crossed your path as you hurriedly fled from that home of terror, everything was even like a fairy tale for you.
But reality hits much harder than it embraces, and in this case, it hit you with Havik's cruelty when he managed to find you. And of course, at the time of the encounter, his anger was so thunderous that he seemed to be unstoppable at this point. Every second in which you were dragged by his powerful arms along with threatening promises of how cruel he would be from now on was overwhelming.
The cries of pain still terrorize your mind during the first few nights he had the nerve to force himself on you again, but now in the worst way possible. You still tremble as you remember all the nights in which you were barely able to get a little rest; Whether it was because of how cruel he was to your poor, weak body, like the bite marks on your neck and neck, or the pain after the forced acts, or the crying that you were forced to suppress after so much agony, everything was so horrible that to this day is traumatic.
Day in which, even with the hope that those stormy nights were only generated by his temporary anger over your miserable escape, it was only a small beginning of what was to come in the rest of your life, the suffering that was going to twist your life. mind and shatter it only to cause a pleasurable twist in the mind of such a macabre man, and a minimal taste of the pain that awaited you until the end of your days, for the man you once called the love of your life.

El Dios de la Brisa (K'uk'ulkan x Reader) (2)
Tumblr media
Summary: You are a passionate Marine Biologist who has lived in the Yucatan Peninsula for some time now. After an encountered with a fabled god more information is learned about your past. The discoveries you make continue to unravel the world around you. This is only the beginning.
[Word count: 4,937]
For the past couple of nights you were having the same recurring dream.
Jumbled fragmented memories tried their best to depict a clear enough picture that you could make sense of. All you could remember from your dreams was that you were awakened by the sound of a haunting song that put you in a trance; the melody led you to the beach where the villagers stood like statues, unaffected by the song, watching as you walked into the sea covered in heads peeking out of the water. They covered the entire bay. There seemed to be more eyes watching you from the water than there were people in Mérida.
You tried and tried but you could not remember what happened before it led you to such a scene or what happened after you walked into the ocean and the water rose over your head leading you into the darkness.
You did remember, however, that before the waves took a hold of you completely you looked up to see the mighty shadow of the king that flew imposingly overhead. His features were covered in darkness but he was outlined by the moon. In his hand was his spear, glistening with power. Though you could not see his expression you could read his satisfaction as the waves claimed you as their own.
Correction, as he claimed you for himself.
K'uk'ulkan.
It was no surprise to see him in your dreams. He had easily conquered your thoughts even during the day.
There were those that claimed dreams held meanings. You were never one to buy into it too much given that most of your dreams normally didn’t make any sense and it was logical that someone like him spent so much time in your thoughts that he could pop up in a dream or two. But you were not one to have the same dream over and over. Especially not the same exact dream, while only being able to remember the same exact things despite the fact your gut feeling told you there was a lot happening before and after the scene you could remember.
“¿Crees que los sueños tienen significado?”
(Do you believe dreams have meaning?)
You had been invited by a friend you had made in the village, Clara and her husband Jorge, to a fishing trip. It felt so nice to leave the bay and enjoy the open ocean while someone else was manning the boat. Together, you and Clara worked on preparing the nets you would be fishing with. They had been one of the first to approach you when you had arrived at the village and though you felt familiar to their culture thanks to your mentor sharing it with you they were the two you learned from the most.
The Maya had never disappeared despite what the history books liked to say. Their descendants were still living in their ancestral lands proudly keeping their traditions alive among the strong colonial and Spanish influence left behind. You had seen this long before you met the god their pyramid was dedicated to and you felt unbelievably fortunate to learn directly from them.
“Claro que si. Todos los sueños tienen significado, incluso los que crees que no. Mi gente cree firmemente en el hecho que los sueños son algo que tu alma puede ver venir.” She said kindly, moving from working on the net to preparing the bait that would be used. “Has tenido algo en mente por días, me di cuenta. De niños, los mayores siempre nos animaban a hablar de nuestros sueños. Nos ayudaron a interpretarlos.”
(I sure do. All dreams have meaning, even the ones you think don't. My people strongly believe in the fact that dreams are something that your soul can see coming. You've had something on your mind for days, I could tell. As kids we are always encouraged by the elders to talk about our dreams. They helped us interpret them.)
You took a look at Jorge before turning to her, putting your net down and leaning your elbows on your knees. “¿Puedes ayudarme a interpretar el mío?”
(Could you help me interpret mine?)
You felt nervous talking about it.
You knew she could tell.
Growing up without anyone meant not trusting those around you with anything you considered personal. You had never had a sibling to talk about your dreams and aspirations to. You didn’t have a mother or a father to go to for comfort after a nightmare. It had taken you decades to find a friend you could fully trust and she was gone. You kept your personal life a secret from everyone, even the friends you were with now did not know much about who you truly were. You talked to everyone in the village; they knew you were a hard worker, they knew you loved the ocean, they knew you to be a respectful yet stubborn individual, they knew you to be closed off.
Yet they still welcomed you like Altagracia had.
Perhaps they all shared that gift of being able to look further beyond what they simply saw in front of them.
It wasn’t only talking about yourself that made you nervous, it was also the subject. You had given him your word that you would not reveal his existence to anyone. Ever. He had been generous, trusting you enough to take your word as truth and allowed you once again to step into his oceans. And now you were going to speak about him in his waters. You feared betraying him especially when it wasn’t your intention. Some secrets that were better off staying as secrets. You knew this.
But you were having trouble processing all of this alone.
“Agradezco su confianza en mí. Si me lo permite, sería un honor escucharlo.”
(I appreciate your trust in me. If you would allow me, I would be honored to listen.)
You trusted your instincts. Clara had never once given you a reason to doubt her.
Framing it as a dream and only a dream, you began to explain what you could remember.
Her hands moved purposefully as she separated the bait and prepared the hooks, eyes meeting yours to confirm that she was listening as she worked yet keeping them away to help calm your nervousness. It was not the first time that outsiders were enchanted by the ocean. The gods of her people were present, they had always been, and those who sought after them with hate in their hearts were struck down by their fury. You had not appeared to have come to their village with any of those intentions. You had come here to heal even if you had not known it at the time.
But it seemed that there was more at work here than healing.
You felt better after you were done though your hands gripped onto the net tightly. The ocean did not change around you. The sun continued to shine brightly, the ocean continued to be fairly calm and docile, the wind had not gotten any stronger in anger. You had described the king as a serpent rather than a man; detailing the colorful feathers of his headpiece to be the feathers covering the body of the winding beast that slithered through the air as if it were creating the ocean breeze itself.
Clara placed the last of the hooks in their bin and took a moment to think before facing you. There was a change in her kind eyes; the softness was still there but there was also apprehension. The serpent god was many things; a bringer of peace and founder of Chichen Itza, the one who was there at the beginning of time and put forth order when helping create all things, the one who fiercely protected those who inhabited the lands and dwelled in the depths of the ocean. His powers over creation also allowed him to destroy anything he pleased as there was nothing in the world that wouldn’t submit to his might.
“Es recurrente.” You spoke to fill the silence more than anything, her dark eyes pierced your own and it pushed you to speak without meaning to. “Cada noche…nada cambia. ¿Deberia estar preocupada?”
(It's recurring. Every night nothing about it…changes. Should I be worried?)
She took your hand in hers. “Tu alma siempre ha pertenecido al océano. No debes temerlo en sueños o incluso ahora. El dios que estás viendo es poderoso. Creo que este sueño es una representación de ti alcanzando un nuevo capítulo en tu vida. El agua es el elemento del cambio y K'uk'ulkan representa tu vida llevándote al océano para ser renovada. Le k'áak'náabo' a k'aaba'.”
(Your soul has always belonged to the ocean. You shouldn't fear it in dreams or even now. The god you are seeing is powerful. I believe this dream is a representation of you reaching a new chapter in your life. Water is the element of change and K'uk'ulkan represents your life leading you to the ocean to be made new. The sea calls to you.)
The moment she was done speaking, after speaking in her native tongue, the boat jumped, hitting a rather rough wave causing everything to be thrown around. You quickly moved to grab the hooks to distract yourself from how fast your heart was beating. You heard Clara ask her husband what had happened and he quickly replied that it was nothing but a wave and that he could see the other boats lowering their anchors. You thanked her quickly and nodded when she smiled and moved to help her husband but you could not forget the cloud of darkness over her eyes when you mentioned seeing the serpent god.
You trusted Clara but now you weren’t sure if her thoughts on your dream were true or if she had spun it into a positive tale for your sake.
Your soul belonged to the ocean and your life was changing. That had been her interpretation. In your dream, you had felt his satisfaction in him luring you into the water. What did it mean? Why did you feel it in your bones that this was more important than just any dream?
“¿Lista para pescar?” Jorge grinned as he clapped his hands moving to help you arrange the nets. He was the most energetic man you had ever met, always smiling and joking, radiating pure eagerness no matter what he was doing. “Es diferente a lo que estás acostumbrada. ¿Estás segura de que estás lista?”
(Ready to fish? It’s different from what you’re used to. Are you sure you’re ready?)
“¿Lista? Estuve lista toda la mañana!” You grinned, focusing on the task at hand and leaving your dream omens for another time.
(Ready? I’ve been ready all morning!)
“¡Entonces vamos! ¡Tu primera lección de pesca como lo hace mi gente!”
(Then let’s go! Your first lesson on fishing, how my people do it!)
You couldn’t sleep.
Despite the long day out at sea fishing among the villagers, suffering the glare of the sun and feeling the exhaustion after a long day of work, the comfort of your bed offered no help to silence your thoughts.
The bottom of your dress brushed atop the sand as you wandered forward. You had been walking for quite some time. It didn’t worry you that it was after midnight and that you were walking along a new path away from the bay because above the treetops proudly stood a pyramid that would always serve as a beacon home.
Home.
You still weren’t used to that word. You don’t think you’ve said it out loud in a really long time despite feeling it in your heart. It just never felt right. When would it feel right? When you followed your dream and followed an unknown and powerful god into the water? That would never happen. You would never really have a home and that was okay. Not everyone needed one. Nomads existed in every culture, across all of time, as proof that not everyone felt the same desire to lay down their roots and stay in one place forever.
Because that was your desire, right? You didn’t want to stay. Or did you?
The frustration inside of you came from never allowing yourself to stay in one place for too long and now that you have you began to doubt everything. That much you knew. But then there was the unknown element of the absolutely alluring and dangerous man you had met that asked the same questions that made you run your entire life.
Answers to those questions only ever led to paths filled with pain.
That’s why you had to run.
That’s why you were taught to run.
Heading out from between the trees, you walked towards a new section of the beach you haven't been to before. This one was rocky. There were multiple different rock formations alongside the water and it created perfect pools for little creatures to live in. You immediately headed over to see if you could find a hermit crab or a starfish. You loved those little guys.
“I really should’ve brought a flashlight,” You muttered as you looked around the ponds, lifting your dress so it wouldn’t get too wet. “I gotta come back in the daytime and take some notes.”
A noise from behind you caught your attention.
Your eyes narrowed as you turned around and scanned the area. It was a bird. It had to be a bird. But after midnight? That wasn’t common. Yet there was no denying what you were hearing, the consistently singular note chirping of a bird that you could not see. Stepping down from an elevated rock pool, you turned a bit towards the moonlight and that’s when you saw it.
A Resplendent Quetzal.
A smile formed on your lips as you watched the brightly colored bird fly overhead, circling you as it called out into the night, filling the silence and joining the sounds of the waves. It was beautiful! They were known for their stunning green, red, and blue feathers that looked iridescent in the light.
The resplendent quetzal was sacred to the Maya.
Venerated as the god of the air, symbol of goodness and light, it was their feathers and colors that were attributed to…
K'uk'ulkan.
Green, red, and blue feathers adorned the body of the great serpent as it glided through the air; a god of the wind, sharing its glory and beauty just as this bird was doing with you. Another one of his symbols appeared before you. Was this a message? No way was it a coincidence.
You moved closer to the beach keeping your eyes focused on the bird until something else caught your eye.
Being pushed into the sand by the waves was your mask.
Your diving mask.
The one you had lost when he left you inside the pyramid. It was as if the ocean was presenting it to you. Immediately, you looked towards the ocean. There was nothing out of place in the dark water but you did not let that fool you. You continued to look out as you moved to grab the mask from the sand. A part of you was beyond delighted to have it back! Diving had not been the same without it and you had not enjoyed having to go back to using oxygen tanks that limited your time in the water. Another part of you was apprehensive, not worried per say, just wondering why you kept being the target of the feathered serpent’s generosity.
The mask had been modified.
The edges were lined with a green stone (or was it a gem?). Jade, maybe? Jade held a huge significance in Mayan culture, it was more important than gold; often being associated with water, the stone symbolized life and death. You remember Altagracia once explaining this to you on a trip in China, as the stone held a great importance in their culture too. There were pearls scattered along it as well, different sizes and shapes. The inside remained the same, mostly, aside from it now having a mouth piece that was meant to cover the area from your nose to your chin. You had no idea what it was made of or what it was meant to do but the shock had not worn off yet.
You had your mask back.
He’d given it back to you.
“A satal. Ba'ale' le k'áak'náabo' a k'aaba'.”
(You are lost. But the sea calls to you.)
His appearance did not surprise you. All of the elements leading to him making his presence known were there. Your eyes stayed attached to your mask, running your fingers along the new designs as he landed on the soft sand in front of you. When your eyes did look up you took the opportunity to really see the being before you.
He was beautiful.
The water that ran down his neck and shoulders enhanced the rich color of his skin. He was in his element; iridescent as the feathers of the quetzal, sacred. There was not a man more confident than the king before you who’s dark eyes held yours with a yearning to discover the secrets in you. His neck was adorned with gold and pearls and there was what seemed to be armor on his arms and legs made of the same things. He was enchanting as a siren. It didn’t need to be said and according to your subconscious that had created your dreams, you had associated him with one.
“Tech le k'áak'náabo'.” You replied quickly after he raised a brow at your staring, which didn’t do much to save you from embarrassment but you could see that your response surprised him.
(You are the sea.)
He had not been expecting you to answer him back in his language much less understand what he was saying but you were a quick study. Not only that those had been the exact same words Clara had told you about your dreams. Had he heard that conversation?
“Tene' tuukulo'oba' le k'áak'náabo' bey iik', ba'ale' ma' ya'ab ba'ax a u taasik waye'.”
(I am both the sea and the air but I am not what has brought you here.)
“That’s when you lost me. I’m not fluent in your language. Nowhere near it, actually.”
“I am surprised you know what little you do.”
“I tend to learn quickly, given if the subject interests me.” You don’t know why you said it like that and to save yourself from any further embarrassment, you kept talking. “I didn’t expect to see this again. The mask. I thought I had dropped it last time we met, well, not last time exactly. The time before that. After the cave. Oh! The turtle is doing really well, by the way. There’s a small facility in Izamal and they’ve been doing a great job. They don’t have many animals currently so she’s been the star of the show.”
He extended out his hand and instinctively you placed whatever you had in your hands into his. He examined your mask for a moment before removing the mouth piece that had been attached by his people and held it up for you.
“Should the hard surface ever be compromised, this will allow you to breathe underneath the water until you are able to reach the surface.” He explained before he placed it back inside and it seemed to readily attach itself. “I am glad to hear that the creature is recovering.”
“I was wondering what that was for. Thank you.”
“The markings around it will give you safe passage should you be at depths where my people may see you.”
“That is very generous. Truly. Dios bo’otik.”
(Thank you)
You had nothing to give and even if you did you doubt that there was anything you could find that would please a man like him. He had given away too much information about his kingdom, aside from that fact that it did exist and it was as vast as the oceans, but just by how he looks you knew that there was little he could want.
The oceans had always held riches and they were all his.
Perhaps that is why you gestured to the place beside you on the beach where you sat. You did not have riches or great knowledge to share but you could guess that a man who took care of an entire empire rarely got a moment of peace. You had the sense that you were right when he wordlessly took his place next to you.
He glanced at the oceans sparkling in delight at having his attention while you looked around for a moment, noticing the silence signaling the bird’s departure. For a moment you did consider if you had even truly seen it. He made no mention of it.
“There are not many that inhabit this area. The closest village still sits a good distance away from the pyramid’s beaches.” He observed.
“My, um, mentor had a research cabin built not far from the bay. That’s where I spend my time. The locals are cautious enough to build away. I’m sure it would make storm season just that more difficult to deal with if they were this close to the water.”
They were cautious but not only because of the storms. There were many stories that this beach held. Stories written by the Spanish of a demon that came from the water and cursed the land as hellfire rained down and destroyed what they had built. Stories from the villagers of an angry god that protected the area, that flew above the waters and feared nothing.
“Do you not fear the storms?”
“There are other things to worry about.” You surprised yourself with your honestly and made a point to evade his gaze when he turned to look at you.
“What do you fear?”
You kept your expression neutral, a mask you wore that was well practiced. It concealed your thoughts well enough. You were sure that he was not one of them; he clearly wasn’t from your world but there was nothing guaranteeing that it was safe to speak to him. You didn’t know him well enough. You didn’t know him at all.
He read you easily.
“My people were from these lands. They also did not fear the storms. They worshiped the god of the rain knowing that prosperity and new life would come after each strike of the clouds that would produce the rain and the thunder.”
“They were brave.”
“To put your trust in something unknown to you is a symbol of bravery.” His eyes met yours this time and though his tone was purely conversational, the meaning did not go over your head. “This world has forced many to hide who they are. It has taken their identities from them, made them ashamed of who they are. My people were freed of that fate. We were given something much greater this land.”
“I can only imagine what it looks like.” Your smile was soft but full of wonder. “I used to dream of finding Atlantis as a kid. In one of the homes I was in I found a map of the world in the basement. I spent so many days that summer reading all I could about it at the library and then running home and circling where I thought it was. A world away from this one? What I wouldn’t have given to just…disappear.”
“My city is called Talokan.”
“Talokan.” You carefully copied his pronunciation and felt proud when he nodded, pleased. “Do you spend a lot of time up here? For someone who lives at the bottom of the ocean you seem to have a pretty good understanding of what happens on the land.”
“It would be unwise of me not to know the ways your world changes. Many things tend to stay the same from my experience. It is key to notice what developments there are.” He continued. “I am from the sea as I am from here. My mother was from the surface world. These lands were hers. The god of rain had spoken to our shaman and through his blessing we were able to discover a way to live within the water. I was the first child born to my people. I am a mutant.”
Your reaction had given him just what he wanted.
It was a confirmation of what he had theorized from the moment he began to understand your connection to his world.
“Don’t say that!” Your words were harsh and your eyes were wide, standing to look around you as if you had forgotten it was the middle of the night and no one but the god shared the beach with you.
Everything told you to run.
You had not said, thought, or even acknowledged the existence of that word in years when you thought you had finally gotten away from it. You had outrun it. You had traveled the world, hopping from place to place, leaving few tracks and enjoying the safety of the oceans for years.
So many years.
Anger and fear had kept you alive for a long time.
You were not going to consider how your actions were disrespectful. It didn’t matter. He had been kind only to take advantage of your curiosity. You could handle the questioning, you could handle the looks of suspicion, all of that you could remain neutral to but that word, that damned word, would always find you.
He stood and watched as you walked closer to the water and threw the mask into the waves. He could see how angry you were at your own reaction, at the fact you left your emotions slip. You were choosing to stand your ground and defend your reaction. He could see that when you turned to him, eyes raging, dress caught in the breeze, moonlight forming a halo around you; you were a sight to behold.
“You can take your mask and stay the hell away from me.” Your eyes were watering and that only added to your fury.
“They have made you run for so long.”
He took a step closer to you.
He was being cautious not because he feared he would be harmed but because there was something growing inside of him from the first time he met you. He couldn’t explain what it was. It went beyond you being a mutant. That wasn’t important. He wanted you to understand that you did not have to live in that fear that others forced you to feel because you were different.
Something deep within him was answering to the pull that brought him to you.
You held a hand in front of you. “Stay away from me!”
The king stood still as the once gentle waves rushed forward. It wasn’t an attack and he would not label it as one but the water had moved forward aggressively only to pool at his feet before sinking into the sand and retreating. You seemed shocked by this too; quickly lowering your hand and turning to look at the pools you had been exploring that were now filled to the brim with water.
A little crab had been displaced from his pool by the wave and was making his way back.
He did not move as you quickly made your way back to the tree line and disappeared. Your expression had gone from anger, to shock, to fear at the mention of a single word. There was no more proof needed. It had not been a coincidence that night and it had not been your instincts either. The water did not only call to you but it answered your own call for protection, even if it was just a gentle push back; it had answered your call against him.
Your mask lay at his feet. Once again brought back to the shore.
He took it in his hands and admired the craftsmanship of his people. He knew you had liked it too, he had seen you admiring it. The inscription on the side held a message. He doubted you understood it.  Perhaps one day he would tell you or your curiosity would lead you to the answer.
The beach was soon left empty.
It’s two inhabitants returning to their homes each with a chest filled with swirling emotions.
The god bowed his head in greeting to his people as he walked into his hut and laid the siibil (gift) he had made for you on the table that sat in the middle of the room. He had enjoyed the moment of peace at your side. But there was no time to focus on what was but rather on what will be. Tomorrow’s sun will rise and there is no guarantee you would be seen again. But there was a change in the wind and something told him, deep down, that you would be in Zama for many more sunrises.
He took the shell that had his paints and turned to the wall behind him.
This was only the beginning.
(Author's Note: I did take inspiration from the movie and I've been doing quite a bit of research to try and be as respectful as possible! I had the reader wandering to water as Queen Ramonda expressed that's how she found peace (I thought it would be interesting to have the reader find the opposite of peace doing the same thing), Zama is where the pyramid is located (which is modern day Tulum outside of the MCU), and the Maya did use nets to fish and you could see the Talokanil using nets a lot in that glorious scene where Shuri got a tour in the movie. Next Chapter should be up in a week! Thank you for all your support and for reading!)

(A/N: Also, someone had asked me why I use the sun as my little dividers! The Maya saw the sun as a symbol of a new age; K'uk'ulkan brought the sun to his people, signaling that new age! Thought it would be nice to include it in!)

Tumblr media Tumblr media
Say hello to the Links of LatL!! (again!)
Link and the Links is my Links Meet AU I'm working on a comic for!
There were some design and art style changes I wanted to document and share. I hope you all like it!
Like last time there's more info below if you're interested!
(please do NOT tag as LU/Linked Universe!)
The Plot
The Links find themselves in a mysterious forest that seems somewhat familiar to all of them yet none of them know where they are. Forced to work together in order to get home, they'll discover a thing or two about each other and grow closer!
The Cast
A little introduction to the lads! I'll probably post individual refs/intros at some point and go into more detail there, but for now here's this!
I'm including age, height, how long it's been since their latest adventure ended, and a little blurb about them
Birdie (Skyward Sword)
18
160 cm (5'3)
Roughly 6 hours after defeating Demise
The start of it all. Unbeknownst to himself and the others, the space they find themselves in was created out of his desire to meet the heroes that came after him. He feels terribly guilty about the curse and very much blames himself for the possible suffering of future heroes. His main goal is to check up on everyone and help where he can!
Grasshopper (Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask)
10
125 cm (4'1)
4 days after leaving Termina
Somewhat disoriented after his journey still, he tags along simply because he thinks Birdie is an idiot who would get lost without him. He doesn't like to talk a lot, or communicate with the others at all to be honest. Hopefully he'll warm up to them at some point
Seagull (Wind Waker and Phantom Hourglass)
13
145 cm (4'7)
6 months after leaving the domain for the ocean King
He's a real genuine pirate, yarr!! Or so he'd like you to believe. He talks a great deal about his strength and bravery, but really is just afraid and terribly homesick most of the time. He wants to fit in with Tetra's and her crew's toughness so much he might go a little overboard on the act in a way that may or may not end up biting him in the butt.
Choo (Spirit Tracks)
14
151 cm (4'9)
6 months after peace returned to new Hyrule
He wouldn't call himself a hero, in fact he'd say it's a miracle he made it out alive. Self-esteem and confidence really aren't his strong suits, he often finds himself dragged along and unable to say no. He is very friendly however, and if you just give him a little space he might even open up to you.
Wolfie (Twilight Princess)
21
175 cm (5'7)
4 years after defeating Ganondorf
Left Ordon after intrusive thoughts convinced him he was a danger to his village, now works at Telma's bar as a waiter in exchange for a room. He's responsible well liked, though he's not too fond of himself. He has some complicated feelings about the whole turning into a wolf thing
Apple (A Link to the Past, Oracle of Ages/Seasons and Link's Awakening)
20
164 cm (5'4)
Just a few seconds after Koholint disappeared
He's a kind and soft spoken, weirdly wise sort of guy and near instantly becomes the heart of the team. With a tendency to push his own feelings aside he prefers to take care of everyone else's.
Wallflower (A Link Between Worlds)
19
158 cm (5'2)
4 years after wishing upon the triforce with Zelda
Bitter doesn't even begin to describe this uh.. pleasant fella. After being bossed around for the better part of his life he doesn't take orders from anybody and is this close to quitting his job as a blacksmith. He hates being stuck here, he hates these strange people, really there's not much he doesn't hate. But that can't be all there is to him...
Puzzle (The Legend of Zelda and Adventure of Link)
18
150 cm (4'9)
1,5 years after waking Zelda II
Confused, disoriented, but still happy to help and ready for adventure. Though some of the others don't really like him around he's still just as friendly to everyone. Since he struggles to communicate he tends to stay quiet. He appears to be simple minded on first glance, but he'll prove to be a valuable member of the team.
Sprout (Minish Cap)
23
139 cm (4'5)
13 years after defeating Vaati
After his grandfather died he retreated into his house and dedicated himself to improving his blacksmithing skills to live up to his grandfather's name, he was quickly forgotten by his community and faded into obscurity. Now he may be the best blacksmith in Hyrule, so good that even the royal guard hires him, but among the general castletown population he's nothing more than a forest cryptid. He only leaves the house when he has to, carefully avoiding people. Not because they disgust him, he just has a major case of social anxiety!
Squire (Breath of the Wild)
14
147 cm (4'8)
3 years pre calamity
This absolute rascal couldn't be happier about his current circumstances. These unknown woods are his playground and all of these weirdos are his friends now! Though everyone's pretty sure he's a knight trainee, he insists that he's just a stable hand for the guard. His chaotic and carefree nature surprisingly doesn't get in the way of things as he's eager to help out wherever he can, seeing the whole journey as an impromptu camping trip.
Some funfacts :]
Most of them are neurodivergent in some way!
Birdie and Seagull have ADHD, Grasshopper and Choo are autistic, Squire gets the combo platter AuDHD and Wolfie has OCD
Additionally, Birdie has auditory processing disorder and dyscalculia, and Squire has dyslexia
A few of them also have speech disorders
Choo stutters and Puzzle has cluttering speech disorder
Apple has a weak voice, so after a while his voice gets tired and gets hoarse
Choo enjoys drawings and cartography, two skills that will be very important!
One of Seagull's hobbies is photography! He takes his pictobox everywhere
Wolfie also does entertainment at the bar from time to time! He sings or does card tricks
Sprout knows HSL (hylian sign language) because his grandfather was deaf
Seagull's piratey way of talking is 100% for show and painfully inconsistent
Wolfie speaks in a thick southern (in universe ordonian) accent but he's trying hard to mask it since he moved to castletown
Wallflower absolutely hates Puzzle
Squire's special interest is horses
Birdie is a bit of a doormat so he has the ideas but Wolfie is the one to actually get them through
A number of them are blood related (has nothing to do with the colours of their names in this post, I had to reuse some because there weren't enough orz)

Hi there! Id like to ask a question.
I like your idea that the kingdoms Legend went off to adventure to (Holodrum, Labrynna, Hytopia and Lorule) are all in the same place or era rather haha, like they all coexist. Its rather genius!
But that makes me curious, do you have an idea where the kingdoms are located? I know Lorule is a whole other place entirely, but what about the others? Which kingdom is from the north? South? Etc. I'm just curious how far or near each kingdom is, and where Hyrule is between all of them. (Also am I missing other kingdoms?)
Thank you!!!
Yep— the five kingdoms currently entering an alliance in Legend and Fable’s era are Hyrule, Labrynna, Holodrum, Lorule, and Hytopia.
Technically, Legend (and sometimes Fable) have seen even more: Subrosia is a separate kingdom beneath Holodrum, past Labrynnans can visit the present with the Harp of Ages and have canonically traveled to other countries, and Koholint… was as real as a dream can be 🥲. And that’s not counting independently governed countries that are part of the larger conglomerates, like Hyrule’s river Zoras ruled by Queen Oren, or the Tokay island beside Labrynna.
So, background— as you may know, there are four types of non-Hyrule worlds in the Zelda franchise.
Independent government, but owes allegiance to Hyrule (Ex: Every Zora’s Domain and Gerudo Town in the series)
Actual, independent other country (Ex: Spirit!New Hyrule, Hyrule!Calatia (Calatia is not canon to the games, but is a popular fan-canon based on Link’s homeland in the Valiant Comics adaptation))
Parallel world (Ex: Time!Termina)
Dream world (Ex: Wind!Ocean King’s Realm)
The question is: which of these are each of the kingdoms Legend has visited, and if they’re physical, where are they located with relation to Hyrule?
Koholint is a dream world, and is therefore not in this alliance. However, I love Link’s Awakening too much to ignore it entirely in the Wisdomverse. What happened to Koholint will be addressed in The Secrets We Keep :).
As you said, Lorule’s different. No need to place it geographically; it’s a parallel world to Hyrule.
Hytopia seems to be confirmed North of Hyrule according to the (admittedly non-canon) Hyrule Encyclopedia. Apparently it’s also confirmed in ALBW? I don’t remember that, but it’s been a while since I’ve played ALBW so I believe it. According to the Encyclopedia, the Hytopians wear frilly clothing to brave the cold northern climates. That’s hilarious and I love it. I’m going with north for this one.
Hyrule is where Hyrule is :)
Finally, Holodrum and Labrynna are claimed by the Encyclopedia to be parallel worlds, but I disagree with this. The Encyclopedia is non-canon, and iirc also says Termina stopped existing after Time left, which I refuse to believe as well. Sure, it looks like Legend gets teleported to Holodrum/Labrynna by the Triforce in the beginning, but later, Impa, Fable, and a bunch of Hylian knights make it over there just fine and I doubt they did so using anything other than normal physical means. In the Hyrule Historia timeline (which I pretty much mostly follow), the Oracle games happen before Link’s Awakening, which means Legend sails home from Holodrum/Labrynna. But Legend is also pictured riding somewhere on a horse at the beginning. Therefore, we can deduce that perhaps one of the two countries borders Hyrule on land, and the other is a separate continent— or both are connected by land, but you could take a boat back to Hyrule if you wanted. My money’s on Labrynna being off to the West so far— the eastern Labrynnan forest border connects to Hyrule’s woods, and this leaves the southeast ocean of Labrynna open for Legend to sail back to Hyrule to, through the Sea of Storms where the storm at the beginning of Link’s Awakening seems like it could work (Legend has already shipwrecked there once before, but he’s totally the kind of guy to want to brave those waters again either as a test of strength, challenge, or punishment.) Jury’s still out on Holodrum!
I’m actually playing Oracle of Seasons for the first time right now (on Wednesdays and Fridays! 😇) and just finished Oracle of Ages last week— so I may update my views on Holodrum as I unlock more of the game’s map!
Tl;dr: Fable’s got a whole intricate mess of a chronospatial geopolitical situation to deal with here. Mad respect to our diplomat Zelda <3

The Little Mermaid AU.
This was actually a rough draft of Heart’s Content which was a straightforward re-telling of the Disney film but I decided to scrap it and try for something more original. Still I wondered what you all would think of it, so I re-read and re-edited it to fit with the new cannon and well..Here it is.
In a kingdom located in Denmark, Prince Alastor prefers to spend his days sailing and exploring rather than at court, despite his advisor Husk insisting that he should focus more on honoring the wishes of his deceased parents by settling down with a nice young lady and starting a family. One day while sailing over seas he hears a beautiful voice singing from fathoms below and commands it to be followed. No one else can hear the voice though but one sailor suggests that what the prince heard may have been a mermaid, specifically Lucifer's daughter for it is said that no one on land or in the sea has a voice as lovely as hers. The sailors then proceed to tell Alastor about King Lucifer who rules over the ocean and the mer-people, and how there was a time long ago when mer-people could be seen rising to the surface but then suddenly, they stopped coming. That the sea king had forbidden them from ever rising to the shore again after he lost his queen. Alastor is intrigued by these stories but Husk just brushes them off as nautical nonsense.
Meanwhile, deep on the ocean floor in the merfolk kingdom, King Lucifer and his brothers and sister in-laws Baron Belphegor, Lady Seras, and Lord Stolas are celebrating the anniversary of their nation's founding by having each of their daughters sing in a concert for their people. The concert is conducted by Lucifer's advisor and court composer, the sea-imp Moxxie and Belphegor's daughter Bee, Seras's daughter Emily, and Stolas's daughter Octavia perform magnificently but Lucifer's daughter is not present for her solo bringing the concert to a halt and enraging Lucifer.
As it turns out, Lucifer's daughter Charlie had forgotten about the concert because she is a mermaid who dreams of life on the land and spends most of her time swimming around the surface, collecting human items that occasionally fall from ships, and trying to learn about the humans. Unfortunately her people do not care for the surface or humans, and often look down on her and mock her for her interests. Calling her “odd”. The only ones who support her are her friends Vaggie who doesn't quite understand her fascination but wants her to be happy, and Blitzo a land-imp who gives her information about the human objects she finds. Or rather information that he's concocted in his own head. As he's telling her that a fork she found is used for combing one's hair and that a pipe she found is used for music, she suddenly remembers the concert and hurries home.
Elsewhere, Adam the sea-wizard and his loyal follower Lute are plotting revenge against Lucifer for banishing them and transforming Adam from a handsome merman to a hideous cecaelia. When Adam notices how head-strong and rebellious Charlie is, like her late mother, he suspects that she may be the key to Lucifer's undoing and tells Lute to keep an eye on her.
When Charlie returns home her father reprimands her for missing the concert and going to the surface, reminding Charlie that humans killed her mother Lilith years ago. Charlie then protests that the humans who killed her were pirates and that she believes that not all humans were like them. However Lucifer is xenophobic toward humans, viewing them as nothing more than savages. He forbids Charlie from ever going to the surface again and she leaves distraught. Lucifer then assigns Moxxie to watch over Charlie and keep her out of trouble, much to the sea-imp's dismay.
Moxxie follows Charlie and Vaggie to a secret grotto where she keeps her collection of human objects. Vaggie comforts Charlie and asks why she's so interested in the surface world anyway. The sea princess then responds that she gets it from her mother and that Queen Lilith always believed that the humans and the merfolk could live together in harmony if they tried to understand each other, so she would visit the surface as often as she could and then tell her daughter about her adventures. Charlie also reveals that her father once supported her mother's dream and even had a special music box made for her to show his support but that was lost along with her mother's life. Charlie then confesses that she secretly wishes to live in the surface world and have her own adventures, and wonders if maybe the humans would be more accepting of her "odd" nature than the merfolk are.
Moxxie is horrified by this discovery and makes his presence known. Charlie quickly pleads with Moxxie not to tell Lucifer about her collection or her secret wish. Moxxie promises not to but tries to convince Charlie to forget her strange hobbies and focus more on music and her singing. The conversation is interrupted when Charlie sees a ship floating overhead and curiously, swims up to investigate. She swims closer to the ship and spies on the sailors aboard who are celebrating Alastor's birthday. She watches the young man play the flute and dance with his cat Kee Kee and the crew, further intriguing her. During the party, the prime minister Zestial tells the prince that he must find a bride and take up his father's crown, then tells him that he is planning to arrange a marriage for him and the duchess Verosicka. Alastor and Husk both protest, insisting that both his father and mother would have wanted him to marry for love. Zestial counter-argues that despite that, the prince doesn't have anyone to love. Alastor tells them that the woman he falls in love with will be someone who's different. Someone who's "odd". Hearing this, Charlie is instantly smitten.
A storm suddenly hits and when the crew cannot steer the ship to safety, Alastor risks his life to get everyone on board including Kee Kee over to the lifeboats, choosing to be the last one to get off. Just as it's his turn, lighting strikes and the ship breaks apart. Alastor is tossed overboard and knocked unconscious. Charlie saves him from drowning and drags him to the shore. The storm ends by morning and Charlie checks to see if Alastor is still alive. When she sees that he is, she sings to him. Alastor begins to stir and the two fall in love.
Alastor dazedly begs Charlie to stay but she is forced to leave when she hears Husk coming. However Charlie vows to find a way to be with him and Alastor vows to find the woman who saved him. All of which is witnessed by Lute and as Adam spies on them through her eyes, he boasts on how he can use these star-crossed lovers to his advantage and that the reason for his transformation and banishment was that years ago, he and Lilith had been arranged to marry but she fell in love with Lucifer, choosing to marry him instead. Out of jealousy and revenge, he arranged for Lucifer to be killed by pirates but Lilith pushed her husband out of the way, taking the killing blow for him. He then remarks that Lucifer’s lovely little princess would make a charming bride.
After Charlie returns home, her behavior makes her father and her cousins Bee, Emily, and Octavia suspect that she has fallen in love. Moxxie tries to convince her that the sea is where she belongs and points out all the wonders of it, but she only dismisses his words and swims off. On land, Alastor is pressured into a dinner with the duchess Verosicka but he quickly realizes that she’s a vain woman only wants to marry him to become queen and rejects her advances. This upsets Zestial who believes in marriage for convenience but Husk proposes a compromise, that they give Alastor some time to fall in love and find a woman to marry before betrothing him to the duchess. Alastor reluctantly accepts but reveals that he’s in love with the one who saved him and wants to marry her but the only clue he has to find her is her beautiful voice and eyes.
At first Lucifer is pleased with the idea that Charlie has found love and asks Moxxie who the lucky “merman” is? Unfortunately Moxxie accidentally reveals that Charlie saved a human and that he is the one she is in love with. Lucifer is furious and forces Moxxie to take him to Charlie's grotto. There Vaggie has surprised Charlie with a small, marble statue of the prince that she found on the ocean floor and the princess gleefully starts to talk about how she'll sneak away to the surface to visit the prince. But Lucifer appears at the grotto and is enraged by her plans. Charlie tries to explain but Lucifer refuses to listen and destroys her collection of artifacts in a misguided attempt to protect her. Charlie swims away to cry and Lucifer is left feeling guilty for his actions but convinced that it was for her own good.
Once alone, Lute approaches Charlie and tells her that Adam has great power which he uses to help others achieve their greatest desires, and that she was once a land creature who dreamed of life in the sea and Adam made that dream real. Charlie knows nothing of Adam or of his past with her parents, and she's so devastated by her father's actions and feels so alone in her own world, that she agrees to go see him. Moxxie and Vaggie spot Charlie with Lute and follow them to Adam's lair. When Moxxie realizes who Charlie is about to meet, he rushes to warn her but Lute silences him and Vaggie.
Adam tells Charlie that the only way to be with Alastor is to become human and he offers to turn her into one for a month and if she can win Alastor's love and receive a true love's kiss from him before the sun sets on the final day, she will remain human forever. But if he doesn't then she'll turn back into a mermaid and be Adam's prisoner. He also demands that Charlie give him her voice as payment for the potion. At first Charlie is hesitate to accept, unsure if she can leave her father, family, and friends forever or give up her voice as it is her last connection to her mother. But Adam manipulates her by saying that she never really belonged in the sea to begin with and no one down below will ever truly accept her. And he convinces her that giving up her voice will be no great loss because she'll be the most beautiful human woman anyone has ever seen and that she will dance more gracefully than any other. In the end Charlie accepts the deal, Adam then takes her voice and locks it away in a nautilus shell, and gives her a potion that turns her tail into legs. Vaggie and Moxxie quickly get her to the surface before she can drown.
They meet Blitzo by the shore and Charlie is thrilled at finally becoming a human while Moxxie is mortified and almost goes to tell Lucifer what happened. But Vaggie and a now silent Charlie persuade him to instead help them as this is the only chance Charlie has at being truly happy. Blitzo finds some discarded rags and cloth to cover Charlie’s body with, just as she’s found on the beach by Alastor. He doesn’t think she’s the one who saved him due to her no longer having a voice but something about her beautiful eyes draw him to her so he decides to take her to the palace, inviting her to stay as his guest.
Inside, Rosie the headmistress of staff and Niffty the maid, take care of Charlie and see that she is treated like royalty. Giving her a suite and baths, dressing her in gowns of silk and muslin, weaving pearls into her hair, all the while Charlie is fascinated by the new world around her. In the evening, a banquet and ball is held in hopes that Alastor will choose a bride but none of the young ladies attending interest him.
When Charlie enters the room, Alastor is astonished by her beauty and invites her to sit with him and Husk at the banquet table. Charlie attempts to impress him by brushing her hair with a fork and blowing Husk’s pipe like it’s an instrument. All the guests laugh at her but Alastor finds her “odd” behavior charming and smiles at her.
Moxxie and Blitzo sneak into the palace to keep an eye on Charlie but the royal Chef Pentious mistakes them for being crabs and tries to cook them for dinner. They retaliate, leading to a brawl that disrupts the meal but luckily Blitzo escapes out the window while Charlie hides Moxxie in her room. After dinner Alastor teaches Charlie to dance and despite her clumsiness, she still moves with grace and charms him even further with her eloquent eyes. As Husk, Rosie, and Niffty watch them dance, they are pleased to see the prince so happy and suspect that love is in the air.
The next day, Alastor takes Charlie on a tour of the kingdom, going to shops and stands, introducing her to his neighbors and good friends, and he is further impressed with how she responds to everything with such an innocent and playful fascination. They end the day with a picnic on the beach which Charlie enjoys but as she watches the tide, she starts to become homesick and dips her feet in the water. Alastor notices that she's sad and understands that she misses her family. He comforts her and opens up to her about how he lost his parents and misses them. To cheer her up, he gives her a present, one of the many artifacts that his father brought back from his days as an explorer and to Charlie's wonder and joy, the gift is her mother's music box. She embraces him and they almost kiss but Alastor backs out, still longing for the "one" who saved him.
As Adam continues to spy on Charlie, he starts to become anxious. He tells Lute that he gave Charlie a month to win Alastor's heart because he knows that the prince is expected to marry another woman by the month's end and is sure that humans never break an arranged marriage. Still, he sends Lute upward to make absolutely certain that the kiss doesn't happen.
As the weeks pass, Alastor and Charlie grow closer. They go horseback riding, they climb mountain tops, he takes her sailing, and she listens to him whenever he talks about how he doesn't want to be king and that he's not sure he will be as good at running a kingdom as his parents were. Not one day goes by where they are not together yet Alastor still does not even make an attempt to kiss her. But while she spends her days with Alastor, Charlie spends her nights dipping her feet in the ocean and visiting with Vaggie who misses her terribly but is glad that she's happy. One night as Charlie comes back from the beach, she over hears Zestial and Husk arguing about Alastor's betrothal to Verosicka and she fears that he may love another. Rosie and Niffty figure this out and comfort Charlie, assuring her that Alastor does not like Verosicka at all and that they truly believe that if he ever married anyone, it'll be her. Meanwhile, Lucifer and his family have been searching the entire ocean for Charlie and Moxxie the remorseful sea king breaks down to his brother in-law Stolas about how he knows Charlie and Moxxie's disappearances are his fault and that he failed them and Lilith. Stolas however assures him that Charlie and Moxxie will be found and that his sister knows how much he loves and tries. Still Lucifer cannot help but constantly say "What have I done? What have I done?"
On the day before the last day of the month, Alastor takes Charlie on a romantic boat ride in a lagoon. A secret spot where his father used to take his mother and he tells her how his father met his mother while exploring the middle east and how different she was from all the other woman he had met before. That she was "odd" just like how his father was "odd" and they fell so much in love that no matter what they faced, no matter what stood in their way, they would always find each other. He then confesses that he wants a love like that and that is why he cannot consent to an arranged marriage. He also confesses that he considers himself "odd" and that he thinks Charlie is wonderful because she's "odd" too. Moxxie takes advantage of the moment by working with Bltizo to create a romantic atmosphere and again they almost kiss, but Lute ruins the moment by tipping the boat over.
Furious at Charlie's close success, Adam decides to take matters into his own tentacles but going up to the surface and appears to a jealous Verosicka, who is sulking over the fact that the prince would prefer a “little mute" over herself. Adam offers Versoicka a solution and gives her specific instructions to follow. That night, Husk suggests to Alastor that "Far better than any dream girl is one of flesh and blood, one warm and caring, and right before your eyes." Alastor takes this advice to heart and realizes that he's fallen in love with Charlie. He decides to forget his dream girl and marry Charlie instead but before he can tell her how he feels, he is approached by Versoicka who is now wearing the nautilus shell containing Charlie's voice around her neck. She uses the voice to bewitch Alastor to forget all about Charlie and marry the "one with the voice."
The next morning Charlie learns that Alastor has decided to marry Verosicka today, much to the joy of Zestial and the confusion of Husk, Rosie, and Niffty. Charlie tries to get Alastor's attention but Versoicka does everything in her power to keep him from seeing her, and when the staff questions him about Charlie, he claims not know such a woman. Heartbroken, Charlie runs off in tears, sobbing by the shore as the wedding ship departs. But Blitzo suspects that something is up and decides to do a little snooping. He spies on Verosicka and sees her conversing with Adam through a mirror, in which they reveal that they've been using Charlie's voice to keep Alastor in a trance and that Verosicka must not let Alastor see his true love or the spell may weaken. Blitzo quickly warns his friends and they devise a plan, Vaggie will take Charlie to the wedding ship, Moxxie will get Lucifer, and Blitzo will stall the wedding.
Blitzo enlists sea animals and Kee Kee to help him and together they disrupt the wedding and attack Verosicka. Vaggie and Charlie get closer to the ship but Lute turns herself into a shark and attacks them. Vaggie fights her, giving Charlie a chance to climb aboard. Alastor finally sees her, bedraggled and on the verge of collapsing, he starts to remember her and rushes to embrace her. Veroscika attempts to strengthen the spell over him but Blitzo rips the nautilus shell from her neck and breaks it at Charlie's feet. Charlie's voice is restored to her and Alastor realizes that she's the one. Tragically, just before their lips can touch, the sunsets and Charlie turns back into a mermaid. It's too late and Adam takes Charlie away, but Alastor is determined not to lose her again.
Lucifer confronts Adam and agrees to take his daughter's place and give him his trident, in exchange for her freedom. Adam agrees, he claims the trident for himself and turns Lucifer into a sea worm to Moxxie's and Charlie's horror. Charlie attempts to take the trident back to save her father but Adam restrains her. Alastor, having found them, shoots a harpoon at Adam to defend her and Lute responds by trying to drown him. Vaggie and Moxxie defend him and Adam attempts to kill all three of them with the trident but Charlie intervenes, causing the blast to hit and kill Lute instead.
Alastor and Charlie reunite at the surface and she urges him to get away for his safety but he refuses to leave her. The couple is suddenly pursued by an enraged Adam who controls the waters to bring them to him. He takes Charlie hostage and starts trying to drown Alastor, all the while taunting him about how once he's dead, he'll takeover not only Charlie's kingdom but Alastor's as well, enslaving both of their people, and pushing the final button by declaring that he'll make Charlie his replacement bride for Lilith. Furious, Alastor reaches for the harpoon he threw earlier and stabs Adam in the chest. In pain, he drops both them and the trident, and the couple use the trident to destroy Adam.
Afterward, Alastor and Charlie swim to the shore where he proclaims his love for her and they share true love's kiss. But then Charlie tells him that although she loves him too, they belong in different worlds and that they can never be together. Alastor pleads with her not to leave him, that they can surely find a way but she tearfully insists that there is no such way. She returns to the sea and is overjoyed to see her father restored to his true form, they embrace, and both apologize for the mistakes they've made. Charlie agrees to go home but asks to have one last look at Alastor first and Lucifer consents. Seeing the way Charlie looks at Alastor and the way he looked at her, reminds Lucifer of how he used to look at Lilith and recalls that Alastor had risked his life to save his daughter just as Lilith had given her life for her husband. Realizing that he was wrong and that he wants Charlie to be happy, Lucifer decides to change Charlie into a human for good, she runs into Alastor's arms, they kiss, and at some point marry, finally uniting humans and merfolk just as Lilith always wanted.

Hey guys this is Samantha again and I decided to do another story based on The Little mermaid and this is a gift for @eeveepalooza I decided to make the characters including Faith ( @eeveepalooza ) as Ariel and Mordecai from Regular Show as Prince Eric
Tumblr media
The Little Eevee
Beginning:
Once upon a time, in a magical underwater kingdom, lived Faith the Eevee, a curious and adventurous young Eevee with a beautiful singing voice. She was the youngest daughter of King Triton, the powerful and protective ruler of the underwater kingdom. However, Faith was fascinated with the world above the sea and often collected human artifacts with her best friend Flounder.
Scene: Faith's Secret Grotto
Faith: singing "Look at this stuff, isn't it neat? Wouldn't you think my collection's complete?"
Flounder: "Faith, you’re gonna get in trouble if your dad finds out about this place!"
Faith: "I just want to know more about them, Flounder. The humans seem so interesting."
One day, Faith notices a ship above the water and swims up to investigate. Onboard, she sees Prince Mordecai, a handsome and kind-hearted prince. Instantly, Faith falls in love with him. Suddenly, a violent storm hits, and Mordecai is thrown overboard. Faith saves him and brings him to shore.
Faith: "Please be safe, my prince. I wish I could be part of your world."
Middle:
Faith's longing to be with Mordecai grows stronger. She goes to see Ursula, the sea witch, who agrees to turn her into a human for three days in exchange for her voice. Faith accepts the deal and transforms into a human, with the condition that she must receive a "true love's kiss" from Mordecai to remain human forever. Otherwise, she will turn back into an Eevee and belong to Ursula.
Ursula: "Now sing, sing for your dear sea witch!"
Faith: silently "I can't believe I did this. I hope Mordecai will love me without my voice."
Faith, now on land, meets Mordecai, who is enchanted by her beauty but puzzled by her silence. Despite the communication barrier, they spend time together and begin to form a bond.
Mordecai: "There's something about you, Faith. I feel like I've met you before."
As the third day approaches, Ursula disguises herself as a beautiful human named Vanessa and uses Faith's voice to enchant Mordecai, making him forget about Faith and decide to marry Vanessa.
Mordecai: "I can't believe it, Vanessa is the girl who saved me!"
End:
Heartbroken, Faith is determined to stop the wedding. With the help of her friends, including Flounder and Sebastian, they manage to reveal Ursula's deception. The sea witch transforms back into her true form and tries to take Faith down to the ocean.
Sebastian: "Quickly, Faith! You must break the spell!"
In the ensuing battle, King Triton arrives and sacrifices himself to save Faith, becoming Ursula's prisoner. Seeing Faith's bravery and love for her father, Mordecai realizes that she is the one who saved him.
Mordecai: "Faith, I know it's you! I love you!"
He kisses Faith, breaking the spell. King Triton is freed, and in his rage, he destroys Ursula with his powerful trident.
King Triton: "You have shown great courage, Faith. You truly belong to both worlds."
King Triton, seeing his daughter's happiness, grants Faith her wish to be human permanently. Faith and Mordecai marry, uniting the two worlds.
Faith: "Thank you, Father. I will always cherish our underwater home."
Mordecai: "We'll visit often, I promise."
And so, Faith the Eevee and Prince Mordecai lived happily ever after, celebrating their love and the unity of land and sea.
THE END

🏹🏹🏹🏹🏹🏹🏹🏹🏹🏹🏹🏹🏹🏹🏹🏹🏹🏹🏹🏹🏹🏹🏹🏹🏹🏹🏹🏹🏹🏹🏹
Two weeks have passed since you got separated from your crew and ended up at the hands of the Kid pirates. As to how you ended up here, you had yet to learn. The only thing you know is waking up in a dark room with a throbbing pain on the top of your head, blood gushing out of it, probably hitting your head somewhere. You rummage through the room, looking for something to cover the wound to stop the bleeding, but don’t find any, so you have no choice but to rip a part of your clothes and use it as a temporary cover.
Still dizzy, perhaps from blood loss, since you’re unsure how long you’d been out, you struggled to walk past the door. After you open it, the sun’s rays illuminate the room, and you conclude that you are in a stock room. ‘And no one sees me here?’ a thought.
You’re surprised to see that you’re on a ship and it is currently sailing in the middle of the ocean. That Goddamn panda! You were so sure Kuma’d eradicate you right then, and the only thing you regret was not being able to help Luffy achieve his dream of becoming the Pirate King. But as you can see, you’re pretty much alive and just losing a lot of blood. However, if you don’t get your head treated, you’ll probably end up decomposing in no time.
You heard obnoxious waves of laughter under the deck, so you tried to find your way to where it was coming from, but being a cautious person, you looked for signs first to give you a clue of your current situation. That’s the time you saw the Jolly Roger dancing freely into the air at the top of the crow’s nest.
“Holy mother of cows…” you uttered. Redhair with goggles and a Punk-ish decorated ship. There is no mistaking it. “Is this where Kuma sent me? The Victoria Punk?!”
You can’t believe it. Is Kuma trying to get you tortured to death by this idiotic group of psychos? Since when have they been working for the World Government? You have so many questions but don’t have time to waste.
Even in a weakened state, you muster all your strength to prop yourself up on the ship’s railings, determined to jump overboard. You feel you have a better chance of surviving this way than getting caught by the Kid pirates.
Counting to three, you’re prepared to jump ship when strong, big arms grab your waist and yank you back onboard. You slammed on the floor deck, butt first.
“What do you think you’re doing?” a sexy baritone voice said. You glared at whoever it was, ready to bite, only to stop when your head started spinning and nausea kicked in—covering your mouth in an attempt to avoid puking. “I’m asking you, what were you doing? Are you thieving us?” the man asked again.
You can’t hold back the annoyance at the accusation. Here you are, separated from your crew, bleeding to death, trapped on another pirate’s ship, and don’t even know how or why you ended up here, and are getting charged with thieving on board a vessel that is sailing in the middle of the ocean. “And what kind of a dumb motherfucker would board a ship just to steal and escape in the middle of the fucking ocean, huh?!”
The man shrugged and simply pointed at you, “You, obviously. Isn’t that what you’ve been trying to do a while ago?” he’s calm, but you know better than to trust that calmness. For all you know, he’s already analyzing you behind his mask. He’s a buff 6” foot guy, tanned, wearing a plain, white, and light-blue striped full-head helmet with many rows of holes and what looks like modern headphones on both sides.
“Killer,” another man came up. He probably heard the commotion you were having. Some of their men were behind him, and all were staring at you. “Who’s the mouse?” ‘Killer, huh,’ you mentally note to yourself. Killer told him what happened. The man who called you a ‘mouse’ was the ship's captain, Eustass ‘Captain’ Kid. Of course, you know him, with that signature goggles and invisible eyebrows.
Kid looked back at you and grinned. The type of grin that means trouble. He walked closer to you, reaching down using his left arm to grab your hair and lifting you to his eye level. “Such a bold move for a little runt like you, aye?” he mocks at you.
You hiss in pain since Kid was grabbing the side of your head that has a wound on it, and it wasn’t that long until you felt warm liquid flowing down your face.
But you’re not one to back down so quickly, “Do you idiots even use that brain of yours?!” you returned. “What do I even want from your ship, assholes?!” you continued.
Kid answers with a slap on your face so hard that you taste blood. Because of the impact, you seem to have gotten a split on the lip. He didn’t stop at one slap but followed it with a more forceful second. Not only are you sporting a cut lip but a cut inside your other cheek as well. “Oi, you’re on my fuckin’ ship, bitch, and I can do whatever I want with you,” he said with a threatening voice.
“Oh, wow. Fuck, I’m scared.” you retorted sarcastically, feigning worry with a bored look. Veins popped at Kid’s head; feeling insulted and mad, he tightened his grip on your hair, making you swallow back a moan. “Can’t you try harder? The pain is subsiding, and it's starting to bore me,” said you, provoking Kid.
Kid is now fuming red, and you swear you can visibly see him spewing out steam like a volcano. You didn’t wait, though, for the next strike. Of course, you’re not an idiot like them. Doing the flying armbar at Kid, you lock his arm and head between your legs, resulting in him kneeling. Tightening your lock on his head, he starts thrashing, unable to breathe. You would’ve stayed in that position for much longer if only there wasn’t a blade pointed at your neck. “Oh? Now, you want to join in, too? Sorry, but I have no penchant for threesomes.” you nonchalantly said to Killer.
“Continue, or your head rolls on the floor,” he warned you. You burst out laughing, amused by what he said. His hand clenched tighter on the hilt of his scythe-like blades, veins showing in his arms. ‘Uh-huh, delicious,’ eyeing his arms.
You let out an exasperated sigh before letting go of Kid, and to make it quits, you grab onto Killer’s blades, point it back to your neck, slashing yourself with a swift motion, causing you to have a big scar lining it, now flowing with blood. Everyone looked at you dumbfounded, not expecting you to do something...insane?
“What? That’s what you call a trophy,” you said matter-of-factly. “See?” lifting your shirt to show them all the scars you collected over time, they sweatdrop.
“Anyway,” walking over to the side to sit down, resting your back on a wall, “since you fought with Luffy in Sabaody, I’ll call it quits. Not to mention this…” pointing at the slit you created on your neck making your point. “Or would you rather I stab myself instead?” you asked. The crew shakes their heads vigorously, aside from Kid and Killer.
“Fuckin’ retard!!” Kid, who seems fine now but still holding his neck.
“Talkin’ to yourself?” Kid’s crew was stunned as to how you could still talk back to their captain.
Kid ignores what you said. He’s more curious when you mention Luffy, “Maybe because he’s my captain?” You sound like it’s common sense.
He lifts one of his invisible eyebrows at you. “How come we never saw you at the auction house? From what I know, all of that monkey’s crew were there.” Kid doubted.
You glared at him when he called Luffy a monkey but suddenly got embarrassed remembering what you ended up doing in Sabaody.
Of course, you’re not there because you were elsewhere. “‘Cause I wasn’t there in the first place.” closing your eyes as you started having blurry vision, “I was out looking for…someone…and ended up…in a gambling house.”
You heard Killer saying something, but everything was turning fuzzy. Before you lose consciousness, you finish, “Just one thing. I don’t give a fuck whether you throw me offboard, feed me to the sharks, or sacrifice me for voodoo, but I’m so tired I’m going to fucking sleep! Wake me up, or you’ll see hell.” and with that, you fainted.
************************************************************************
Fast forward to today. You just finished cleaning one of the upper decks, and is now in the kitchen for Lunch. It was decided that you'll be cleaning the whole Victoria Punk as punishment for ‘sneaking’ in their ship. Surprisingly, they didn’t do anything to you that day you fainted, and you woke up in their infirmary, fully bandaged. As per Kid, he’s willing to do you some ‘charity’ since you’re connected with Luffy, who he sees as interesting and a competitive rival. So you’ll stay with the Kid pirates until you leave for the next island.
Well, that is the original plan. However, Kid being an ass, doesn’t want to let you go because you haven’t 'finished cleaning the whole ship.' To which, ladies and gentlemen, is so goddamn huge! It was 5 or 10 times or more bigger than the Sunny! How the hell can you finish cleaning all of it by yourself?!
Footsteps approach you, and you don’t need to take a second guess on who it is, “You sure take your time, huh? How the hell will you finish cleaning my ship if you’re moving like a turtle?!” Like, what does he want you to do? Use some kind of trick to clean his colossal ship magically?
You rolled your eyes, and without looking at the person speaking, you sassed, “...and why the hell are you bugging me every chance you get, huh, Kid?!”. Kid forcibly turned you around to face him cupping your cheeks tightly, “Call me Captain, you bitching runt. Don’t forget that you’re on my ship and…”.
“...you can do whatever you want with me.” You finish his lines for him. “Yeah, yeah. How many times have you reminded me about it? It starts to age in my head. Don’t you have anything else to say?”
The crew was watching both of you, too entertained with your bickering. It has become a regular occurrence since you came on board. “It's starting again.” said one of the crew.
“I’m unsure if Captain is fond of her or just plainly irritated since she’s from a rival crew.” said another.
“Maybe because they are both the same age?” and another.
Both of you heard it, and you’re sure you saw Kid blush a bit, so to hide his embarrassment, he removed his hands tightly cupping your cheeks, and turned to yell at his crew about being slow pokes as well.
Focusing back on eating, you tried ignoring your surroundings when a familiar aura closed in. You feel your heart beating faster and faster by the minute. This person has been making your heart go insane whenever he's around, and you thought it was only because of anxiousness, considering that you don’t exactly get what he’s thinking most of the time due to him wearing a mask.
In your peripheral vision, you saw Killer handing Kid what seemed to be a newspaper. Kid snorts after reading an article in the paper, then turns to you and slams the paper in front of you. “I may have something new to say. Look what I found,” he said. You gave the paper a side-eyed glance, not actually interested in what was written on it, but you saw a familiar face.
It was Ace, and even though you hadn’t personally met him since you weren’t part of the crew yet, when they saw him in Alabasta, Nami and Usopp shared their experience with him and showed you some newspaper clippings. You know that he’s one of Luffy’s big brothers and an extremely polite person far from your Captain, at least that was what they told you.
The caption caught your attention. It was about Ace’s death at war in Marineford. You snatched away the paper from Kid and read the whole article with wide eyes. It says Luffy stormed at Marineford to save Ace from being executed and that he died protecting Luffy from Akainu; there was even a photo of what happened, and you saw Luffy.
You turned pale and felt shivers down your spine. The news was stomach-churning, and you suddenly feel nauseous. You drop the paper and run to the nearest sink to throw up. Kid is pretty amused at your reaction.
Too many questions are running in your head. ‘What happened to Luffy?... Where is he?... How is he holding up?’ You’re too shocked to think straight. The only thing you want to do right now is to look for your captain and be by his side.
You inhale and exhale a couple of times to relax, and once you’re sure you have calmed down, you start walking towards the door. You go past Kid without a second look, but he grabs you by the arm. “Where do you think you’re going?” he asked with a menacing tone.
“Where do you think? Of course, to my captain,” you answered, still not looking. You felt his grip tightened. This man has been abusing your arm since, and you got a lot of bruises from his grabbing every time. “I didn't give you any permission to leave, did I?” he said smugly.
You turned to face him, irritation and anger visible in your face. “I didn’t ask for permission, did I?” you scowled at him, but Kid didn’t seem fazed. He was rather more amused by your expression and even grinned wider. You try to release yourself from his steel grip but can’t. Face flushed with anger, you swiftly grab a fork from a nearby table and are about to stab Kid in the eyes, but Killer stops you by the wrist.
“Calm down, Y/N. That’s our captain,” Killer said. Kid didn’t even flinch on what you did and just stared intently at you. “If you do that, we won’t hesitate, you know,” Killer said, motioning to everyone around you, who’s now standing up, ready to strike.
He has a point. You’re a complete stranger to them, and they won’t hesitate to kill you if you so much as hurt their captain. You pull your wrist from his grasp while Kid releases your arm.
“Calm down?!” you shouted. “Luffy’s brother died, and now he’s missing too! Our crewmates are nowhere to be found, and I don’t even know if they’re dead or alive! Then you’re asking me to fucking calm down?! How should I do that, huh?! Tell me what I should do?!” you’re practically screaming.
Tears were now beginning to form in your eyes, and you couldn't help but look vulnerable in front of them. You have kept it for a good two weeks, but honestly, you’re at a loss. What happened at Sabaody during Kuma’s attack was so sudden you couldn’t even process it properly in your head.
You pointed your fingers at Kid, “And this motherfucker has been a pain in my ass ever since I ended up here. For all I know, you’re probably working with the World Government and were assigned to dispose of me!” you said, gritting your teeth.
Kid wasn’t happy and got mad when you associated them with the WG. “Don’t you dare relate us with those trash! WE! Don’t work for anyone!” he points at you too. “You are the one who sneaked in on MY ship!”
“How many times should I tell you that I DID NOT SNEAK IN TO YOUR SHIP!!! I got sent here!!!” you wailed. Your chest is heaving in anger, and your face is all red. “This conversation is over. You’re NOT my captain, and this is NOT my crew. I will leave this goddamn ship, and you can’t stop, won’t stop me.” you firmly said. Retreating to the exit, you heard Kid say, “You think I can’t, huh?” but you didn’t answer.
The next thing you know, you were thrown on the other side of the kitchen. Tables falling and plates breaking. You didn’t expect what Kid did, so you couldn’t brace yourself from impact, your head hitting the wall. Head throbbing with sharp pain from the same area where you had your wound, and it looks like the wound got reopened. Before you can even stand, Kid is already in front of you and kicks you hard twice in the stomach, causing you to cough blood. He then grabs you by the hair to lift you before punching you in the face and throwing you again.
“Kid, that’s enough.” Killer tried to stop him, but Kid was so invested in lashing out at you that he ignored him. He’s determined to show you he’s the authority on this ship, and no one can tell him otherwise.
Kid only stop when you’re half-dead. You’re lying on the floor in a fetal position, sporting bruises and cuts while still coughing up blood. But even in that state, you taunt him, “Is that it? *coughing* I was expecting something more, really.”
Kid just cockily smiled at you. Crouching down, he grabbed you by the neck. “You’re really amusing. I like your spunk.”
You countered back, “And I fucking hate you, you Oni (demon).” Kid burst into laughter, surprising everyone.
“Shouldn’t you be thankful? This ‘Oni’ spared your life.” he jeered at you.
“I'd rather you didn’t.” Kid just chuckled.
“Only weak people succumb to death, and you’re not weak like how you pretend to be, and we both know that.” Kid said, meeting your gaze. “You have the skills and the guts. I’m not stupid enough to waste you and let you rot. Though, I extremely enjoyed what I did to you.” he grinned.
“Now, listen and listen well.” he inches his face closer to you, and you can practically feel his breath. “You can’t change the fact that you’re at MY mercy, and you OWE ME your life. You said it yourself: you don’t even know where your crew is, so I’m not letting you go. I’ll make use of you and that guts of yours.”
You felt a lump in your throat, fighting back the tears. As much as you’d like to fight back, you’re already too exhausted just even to sit. Dropping your guard because of the mixed emotions you felt earlier was a mistake. It gave Kid the time to pound on you continuously, not allowing you time to breathe.
“Join my crew.” You got speechless, mouth agape, and Kid was so dead serious.
It took you a full minute to process what he just said. ‘Me? Join his crew?’ “That was the most fucked up thing I ever heard.” you can’t help but blurt out your thoughts.
“I’m not asking you.” he lets go. “I’m telling you. You’re joining my crew.” then he smirked. Disharmony echoed throughout the room. Some crewmates were in opposition, and some were rather overjoyed. Kid looked back at Killer, “No complaints, right?”
Killer shrugged, “You're the captain.”
But since you’re a brat, you still tried to get out of the situation Kid put you in. “Why ask Killer and not me when I’m the one being forced into this?!” trying your best to prop yourself up but to no avail. “‘cause your opinion doesn't matter here,” says Kid, continuing out the door with Killer, Heat, and Wire following.
Some of the crew approached you to help you up, but before Kid disappeared outside, he told everyone to leave you alone and let you tend to yourself because ‘you’re not that weak.’

Absolutely! @rain-day-today just know this will be long!
We’re about to start off strong
So, I know that the reason incest is in mythology is because one person or one small group of people create the world and then the gods, so it’s hard to ignore. However, I wouldn’t want to put that into a personal story, let alone an existing work that I’ve enjoyed since childhood.
The world began with the creation of Raine, the goddess of rulership. Along with Raine was Alexiares (god of the underworld (similar to Hades’s roll in Greek mythology), the celestial spirt king (whose name in mythology is Atlas and is obviously a star god), Adohira (goddess of chaos, art, and creativity), and Elm (planet god).
Raine as the goddess of rulership had the others begin to make the world. As they did so, other gods like Chronos and Ikusa-Tsunagi (both of which canonically exist in fairy tail) poofed into existence. Raine soon married Alexiares. She soon was pregnant, except, the children weren’t her husband’s but Atlas’s. In an attempt to hide the affair, she alters their dna to fit both fathers. This is the birth of Ankhseram (another god of death who I’ve also combined with darkness, space, mourning and loss, revenge for the dead, and balance) and Mirakand (god of the moon, chaos, fun, pleasure, and revenge for the bored).
However, a ruler is a person in power, and power corrupts. So she has another affair, but this time with Elm. This produces Edith (war, metal, courage, and revenge for soldiers), Junto (the ocean, purity, and revenge for the pure), Katsumi (air, victory, beauty, pride, and revenge for the betrayed), and Sophia (earth, wisdom, magic, and revenge for the earth). This one wasn’t covered up, and led to the world they were building falling apart. The two do make up, but their marriage is never the same.
And finally, she cheats once more with Atlas again. She hides the parentage again, as she had lost some of her power and couldn’t afford the end of her marriage. This produces Kuno (fire, stars, love, the hearth, food, luck, and revenge for love) and Ophelia (light, goodness, life, family, healing, music and dance, and revenge for family).
The world is being recreated and now with life and fire/ food (something that makes humans, humans) life begins to take hold on the planet. Humans sprout up and the humans love them. In truth to their godhood, Mirakand and Adohira create copies of the world in which something is different, creating edolas and elentear and all the other worlds.
At some point, Ophelia and Ankhseram get into a fight as humans develop in magic. Magic can be wonderful and is often portrayed as such. And Ophelia is seeing how people are using it to help others. Ankhseram, however, sees the dangerous and evil stuff they are doing with it. Sophia, despite being the goddess of magic, didn’t take sides as she believes that with good comes bad.
The fight escalates and causes conflict within the gods. Kuno sides with Ophelia. Most of the others of the born ones (which are Raine’s children as they are the only ones that were born) stay out of the conflict, Mirakand flip flopping for fun. Due to the anger between them, Ankhseram creates a curse that targets the love of people and life, an attack on his younger siblings. However, he does still love them, so they are immune to it.
They do end the conflict and Ophelia creates laws for all of her creations (humans, dragons, animals, etc). They are now unable to force others to or bring back the dead themselves. They also can’t travel to other worlds with malicious intentions. These are enforced by Ophelia personally punishing them, unlike Ankhseram’s curse.
As time goes on, the gods get bored of the creatures on the planets. They begin to mess with them, causing chaos to every live creature. Now, Raine is a power hungry ruler, bad partner, and a bad mother, but the gods are destroying the life below and will until it’s all gone. So she makes a decree saying that the gods will split into two groups. Group A and group B. Group A will head down to the planet and live a human-like life as a kinda human. They will have to prove they are worthy of their god title. Then, once everyone but the born’s parents have died. They are left alive because they are the born’s parents. So they stay down to put the borns on the planets. Then they go through the cycle.
It’s different for each world. In earth land they get three lives and stop aging at 25. Everything can end a life except for aging. In edolas they only have one life due to the magic levels. In elentear they have five lives. It’s based on magic levels in each world. (Now that edolas has no magic that people can wield (you know that quote that’s like just because you can explain it doesn’t mean it’s not magic, like science. Science still exists in edolas, so they still have magic, just not wieldable) they age).
They also aren’t different people. Like in people in edolas have different smells and magic energies than the people in earth land. They aren’t the same. But reincarnated gods are the same. They have the same scent and magic. They are just different from their circumstances. But unlike others, their morals, actions, and abilities are all from their god self personality.
For the gods proving themselves, Raine in one of her lives would have to be a good ruler. Ophelia would have to create good outcomes and help heal people and support family. Kuno would have to protect love. Etc.
They also have to follow stuff similar to the myths humans create. Ophelia and Kuno have to fight Ankhseram while being human. This war means more than what other gods follow. Whoever wins determines the overall outcomes of major events. If it would mean bad things or good. The last war Ankhseram won, which lead to the dragons taking over. Which doesn’t seem bad until you remember the dragon wars, Acnolgia, and all the death it caused. Because Ophelia lost, after she gets her godness back she can see visions of the future. If Ankhseram had lost he’d get the same ability. However, they don’t have to follow the myths only after they remember stuff. They follow myths not knowing they’re gods.
Now. The gods aren’t fully human. They still have different soul types (bixlow’s quaking). When Ophelia goes down she has a half god; 1/4 celestial spirit; 1/4 demon, soul. They work like humans in like bodily processes, death, and magic. But after they fulfill their godness, they get their god memories back. They also gain a god mark on their body. Everyone looks different and is on a different part of the body. All of the born ones have their mark on their right forearm (the area of the arm below the elbow. I don’t know what it’s called) since they’re related.
They can also put marks on other people. It is not in the same place as the god’s own mark. They also each have two colors. One is when they are blessed by the god. The other is when they are scorned by the god. They are passed down through generations. They disappear around five generations down. Sophia has a colony that gets blessed every five years as she likes them and they are her main worship group that does everything it can for the planet. Jellal’s mark on his face is a god mark. It’s Ophelia’s mark. A child blessed by a god from a lineage like Jellal and Sophia’s colony, has traits similar to their god’s speciality. Sophia’s colony is incredibly wise and has lots of magic. (I love art but I got hit with my depression during COVID so I got stuck pretty bad and stopped practicing. So I would love to draw what the marks and colonies look like, but I can see them better in my head and they’d look weird). Jellal actually is very good at medical practices and celestial magic (which he practices). Similarly, Mystogan is good at music and dance. Now, this isn’t to say that they aren’t talented on their own or can’t have other talents that don’t fit the god, but should they commit to the skill, they’ll have extremely good luck in those departments.
After gods remember everything, they have slight access to their god magic. They can bless people (something they can’t do as regular humans), and use certain abilities. For example, Adohira can cause things to flip on people. Like she can make it rain chocolate milk (like discord from mlp). But she can’t mess with other worlds like she could in the god world (which is kinda like another dimension like the celestial spirt realm and the underworld). The part demon, celestial gods have a little bit more stuff they can do. They can fly and have their royal rights in those kingdoms. Their hair floats. Ophelia, for example, has her hair turn into fire and it floats. Mirakand’s hair floats and turns white like the moon rocks.
They can also recruit gods. During one of Ankhseram and Ophelia’s wars, Ankhseram killed the gods of the dusk and dawn. Permanently. As in they don’t get reincarnated or got back to the god realm. It was before they got their memories back. Once they did, Ankhseram felt incredibly guilty. Because those gods were perma-dead they can have replacements picked out from the living creatures on the planet. They live the rest of their lives normally, but when they die they become part of the god realm and start to follow the system.
They CAN be incredibly smart. They aren’t necessarily, but because of them being a part of the world for so long, they usually are in some aspect.
When they are on earth, they don’t get their gods names and get renamed for their human lives. They can also be cursed by Ankhseram’s curse while human. Except for Ophelia and Kuno, who are immune to the curse per its creation.
While one group is down with the humans, the other group is in the god realm. So when they are summoned they are summoned as gods. Atlas doesn’t follow the same system, as he’s not a god in the sense like the rest are. He just comes down and does the deed when he needs to and then continues with his king life.
The current group that’s down on the plant is Group B.
The gods are still worshiped and they have festivals and days. However it’s not as hardcore like prayers everyday or anything. It’s sort of like how some people view Christmas. Like it’s about the celebration, not the meaning. The Valentine’s Day equivalent is Kuno’s day and is considered his birth. Towns are named after gods in aspects of myths. In Fiore, some examples are Marigold (for Adohira. They sell tons of art supplies and have beautiful architecture. Their festivals are truly beautiful and colorful.) and Snowdrop (For Ophelia. Their festivals are very lively since they’re filled with music. Unlike Adohira’s festivals, they are very floral. Like Adohira gets confetti and Ophelia gets flowers.)
They also have a ranking system. I drew a picture. The born have underlings, that are below them. There are more but it’s to just demonstrate.
Tumblr media
This also added into demon stuff. There’s the existing demons, Zeref’s (which are etherious), the demons on the island (galuna island). But there’s ghastly demons. Which are underworld demons. They are mainly underneath Ankhseram, but it’s like he’s the boss and Alexiares is like the ceo.
Godslayers are in a similar situation to dragonslayers. Gods in human form taught people god magic and they turned. But they didn’t have a war. Then it was passed down. So godslayers are older than dragonslayers.
I think that’s everything. Hope you enjoy!

What Makes Jotaro Kujo The Most Powerful Stand User
Sorta. Arguably he’s beaten out (with good reason) by GER Giorno and Johnny’s Act 4 Tusk in terms of power, but in-universe he’s considered to be the world’s most powerful Stand user both by characters within the text treating him as such and the overall narrative.
Tumblr media
Case shut, post over it seems, but let’s dig a little deeper into the why… besides being the main character.
The above screenshot frames Jotaro as the most powerful Stand user, but he doesn’t even have the most powerful version of his Stand in Diamond is Unbreakable (it’s actually the weakest). The Stand stats page for Stone Ocean’s Star Platinum reveals that the most powerful version of Jotaro is “when Jotaro was in his prime (18 years old).”
Tumblr media
Narratively, the most powerful Stand user is Jotaro at the very tail end of Stardust Crusaders, after he has gained Time Stop. This is his prime. Another way to pop the bubble on my own analysis here is point out that canon focuses on this moment because it’s right when he kills DIO. Very much usurping a king to take the crown.
But before the story ended, we saw Prime Jotaro do something else which I believe is (also) what makes him the most powerful Stand user in existence. It’s a small, almost forgotten moment. Tucked in between Jotaro learning about Kakyoin’s death and reviving his grandfather.
It’s the time when Jotaro tries the impossible.
SDC Time Stop Jotaro isn’t considered the most powerful Stand user because he’s in his physical prime with a powerful ability. He’s considered that because this was the very moment he decided to try. That’s what makes him the most powerful Stand user.
Tumblr media
Which makes it all the more painful meaning that the times that Jotaro fails are the moments were he doesn’t try enough.
More analysis below the cut. Spoilers for part 6 btw.
There’s that common joke pointing out how ridiculous it is that Jotaro tells Josuke that “you can’t bring back a life once it’s lost” after Josuke’s grandfather dies because Jotaro was literally able to do just that. Sure, the circumstances were different especially with the vampire blood giving immortality, but Jotaro’s attempt was to see if flushing Joseph’s body back with his Joestar blood would revive him, with no intention to turn him vampiric (which it doesn’t. Or it does and Joseph gets the immortality but not the rest of the bad side effects. Joestar blood is too op pls fix in next patch dev team). Regardless, it’s pretty odd and perhaps unintentional parallel that two grandfathers tip the bucket and one survives and the other’s grandson is told that the dead will always remain dead.
Speaking from a in-universe perspective, Jotaro’s speech to Josuke should be taken at as the truth. Bruno dies against Diavolo during their first encounter, with him essentially living as a ghost(/soul) within his own withering corpse thanks to Giorno’s intervention. More obviously in Stone Ocean, when Pucci finds Perla’s body and gets a memory of DIO telling him that there’s no way to bring back the dead.
Tumblr media
So the one exception of cheating death outright is in Joseph being revived by Jotaro. It could be explained by the aforementioned vampire/Joestar blood BS. It could be a simple retcon that got established in DiU so a situation like Joseph wouldn’t happen again. Both interpretations make sense and I would agree with both.
However, I would like to argue that Joseph’s miraculous survival is not a narrative oversight. His revival is proof of Jotaro’s power as a direct result of Jotaro’s willingness to try. Jotaro plans for DIO and Joseph’s body to be put into the same ambulance to return the Joestar blood back to his grandfather. It’s an idea he’s not even sure that works, he asks the doctors if it was possible to transfer blood between the corpses. Joseph is very much dead at this point. If Jotaro calling Joseph’s body a corpse and seeing his soul float off wasn’t enough proof, the doctors immediately call the revival plan impossible/useless.
Tumblr media
I want to stress this is the worst night of Jotaro’s life.
Right before this scene happens he overhears the radio confirm that Kakyoin is dead. He went into the final fight with DIO knowing Avdol and Iggy were both dead, upping the pressure to keep the rest of his friends/family alive. He watched his grandfather die right in front of him and DIO promptly desecrate the corpse. If it weren’t for his own actions, Polnareff would be dead too. He doesn’t know if he killed DIO in time either, from his perspective his mom could’ve died before he could save her in time. (Ha. Time.)
I suppose, in a sea of despondent despair, there was no other options than to cling to the impossible. After all, against all odds, he was able to learn Time Stop and kill DIO. He had to make it worth it. He was there to save his family, his friends died to save his family, if Joseph or Holly died… well.
He wanted to beat the odds again. And he did. In a way, this is him beating fate or at the very least—fate was literally in his hands and he made the decision to bring his grandfather back no matter what.
In DiU and beyond, Jotaro becomes resigned to fate and thus the weakening of his power overall. If fate determined that his friends would die in Egypt, then that would lessen the weight of blame on him and put their deaths as more of an inevitability. Fate is final. You can’t change it.
Tumblr media
Jotaro doesn’t feel pressured to act upon something until he has to, then he does what he needs to be done. In SDC he doesn’t really care about women until they need to be saved or protected. In DiU he says he “hates doing anything tiring” as he saved Koichi from Sheer Heart Attack. He doesn’t visit Jolyne until she’s in jail because of a plot against him (and he couldn’t let DIO’s resentment ruin his daughter’s life).
The actions he takes are what he believes to be the best option, but that option is probably a compromise, not an attempt at the best possible outcome. His treatment to Jolyne is the subject here. He focused his priorities on keeping his family safe by baiting his enemies to himself instead of them, instead of trying to find a compromise where he could be with his daughter and protect her. I can’t blame Jotaro for this decision, but I also can’t avoid the simple fact that he hurt himself and his family for being distant. When fate does catch up, as he expects it to, it bites him in the ass—the stubbornness of DIO’s followers outlived Jotaro’s and he ends up in a coma, unable to act and unable to protect his daughter.
I don’t mean to say that effort isn’t shown by him, he’s extremely observational and analytical and uses those skills to his advantage in practically every fight he’s in. I think the Anubis fight is good proof of that, being brought to his physical limits to the point he can’t move after it. He tries plenty, but it seems clear to me that he tends to only lose when he’s not trying hard enough.
He almost died to a rat because he didn’t plan ahead and figure that the bullets would ricochet. In Stone Ocean, his Time Stop isn’t long enough to save everyone from Made In Heaven. He didn’t maintain his prime Time Stop or sought to expand it, because that was DIO’s goal or, more simply, he didn’t bother to. He went ten years of not needing to use it until Josuke forces him to.
Even with his ability becoming duller in later parts, the story and characters still treat Jotaro like The Most Powerful Stand User. In DiU, after the culmination of the Gang’s efforts, it’s up to Jotaro to stop Kira from reactivating BtD. In Stone Ocean, it’s up to Jotaro to kill Pucci when no one else is literally able to. Stardust Crusaders’ final fight is when Jotaro is completely alone, when there’s no one left but him to stop DIO.
The narrative again and again reenforces the idea that Jotaro is the strongest Stand user in the story, that everything falls on his shoulders and he is the one to make sure the evil dies and who’s left, lives. Past part 3, the narrative continues to say that he’s the most powerful Stand user, but it’s also clear that it’s not true anymore. His Time Stop isn’t as strong as it was in his prime. He no longer lives up to the expectation he made for himself in the few minutes after he killed DIO.
That moment in the ambulance, that’s the moment Jotaro tries without the pressure of death—the dust has already settled—or his own sense of justice—the evil has been fought. Joseph is dead and DIO is dead. Out of the desire and the off chance that he could hear his grandfather share stupid trivia with him, Jotaro reaches for the impossible, the best possible outcome, and gets it.
After the end of Stardust Crusaders, Jotaro no longer is at his ‘prime’. For someone who hates useless things, he becomes what he deems as useless. He’ll live the rest of his life in the shadow of his own self, the self that proved that he could do the impossible.

Heyy! Hope your doing well today!
I want to request a OT8 headcanons on how they could bathe their little!
Maybe they have like little bath toys for them, bubble baths, etc.
make it how ever you want!
Hello! I am doing very well! I hope you are too!
Thank you for such a sweet request, absolutely adorable!
Bath Time with CG! Stray Kids
Bang Chan
Chan turns bath time into a game of make-believe
You are the captain of a pirate ship braving the open sea
Storms would splash you and try to flip your boat (Chan would use his hands to splash you with water)
Evil sea witches would turn the ocean colors with their magic and try to overtake your ship with it (Chan would sneak in a multi-color bath bomb and add more bubbles to the bath)
Finally, you were face to face with the big sea monster! He was coming for you but you dodge all of his attacks. At last, he caught you off guard and swooped you from your ship! You fought back but it was no use, the evil monster wrapped you tightly in a towel and tapped you in its arms.
Lee Know
Bath time with Minho was very thought out
He had a plan and schedule for everything
First, he would fill your bath with warm water, not hot! His baby does not need to be burned alive to be clean
Then he'd let you pick out a scent and some bubbles for the tub.
After placing you in the bath water he would begin to help wash you
He knew how scary it could be so he gave you some fun toys to distract you
Of course, you had to make the bunny and squirrel get married
He chuckled to himself as he rinsed out your hair, making sure to keep your eyes clear.
Once the water began to cool down he would gently remove you. He never let the water get cold on you, however. His little one would never be uncomfortable when he was around
That's why he was so particular about bathtime. He knew there was comfort in a routine.
Changbin
When it comes to bath time with Changbin, it always seems to be a mess.
It always starts when Changbin gets so caught up in how adorable you look picking out your bath toys that he lets the water overflow
This wouldn't have happened if he didn't plug up the overflow drain, stating that his bunny deserved all the bath bubbles in the world
Then once you were in the water, the tub would spill over and onto Binnie. He again forgot to take into account water displacement
Halfway through bathtime with suds all in your hair, a water fight would break out. He was already soaked, why not have fun with it
Laughs and giggling screams would fill the bathroom as you two had fun
Before he forgets he always washes your hair out, reminding you it is time to be calm. He wouldn't want soap in your eyes.
Then with a big yawn from you, Binnie would dry you off and wrap you up. Off to bed for the both of you.
Hyunjin
Jinnie was so excited when he found bath crayons at the store
He just had to buy them for his little artist
He bounced up and down all day waiting for bathtime, he couldn't wait to give you your surprise
He knew going into bathtime could be difficult as it meant ending play time but he told you about the little gift waiting for you
He laughed when he found you trying to start the bath yourself
Once you were all settled in the shimmering purple water scented like lavender, he showed you your new toys
He sat back and watched as you drew everything your mind could think of
He especially took notice of the two figures wearing crowns towards the bottom of the wall
Under the drawing was the title
"King Daddy and Little One"
Han
Han took bath time as a way to wind down and relax after an exciting day.
While you were finishing up your movie and dinner, Hannie would start your bath
He picked a eucalyptus bath bomb and some sage soap shapes
Jisung would call for you and smile when you showed up like the good little one you were
He helped you out of your clothes and into the bath gently. His movements were always too small and calming around bath time
Once you were settled in, he would leave the room for a bit. Just so you could relax and get comfortable by yourself
He wasn't gone long, returning with his acoustic guitar in hand
He played you all your favorite songs until he watched your sleepy eyes begin to get too heavy to hold.
Next thing you knew you were in your favorite jammies and snuggled up in bed
Felix
Felix would use bath time as a time to remind you how beautiful you are. How absolutely precious you were to him
He starts by having you look into the mirror and repeat compliments he gave you
"You are beautiful" "I beautiful"
"You are smart" "I smart"
"Mama loves you very much" "Mama luvs me!"
After that, he'd help you into the tub and sing little songs as he washed you
He gave you the royal treatment
This shampoo? Only princes and princesses were allowed to use it
The body wash? Made from the finest ingredients in all the kingdom
Your towels? Tailor-made by the royal towel maker
Bath time was a time to appreciate his little one
Seungmin
Minnie sort of treated bath time as if he was washing a puppy
He knew it was inevitable that he would get soaked so he always changed into something he was willing to get wet in
He tried to wash you as quickly but efficiently as possible as he didn't want you to become uncomfortable with the soap sticking to your skin
He massages the shampoo and conditioner into your hair slowly to help you relax and not focus on the water getting cold.
Once that was done came your favorite part
"Okay little one, SHAKE!"
Water got everywhere as you shook out like a little puppy
He couldn't even be mad. Just look how happy it made you.
As he dried you off he messed your hair up with the towel a bit
What! Your little pout was to die for!
I.N.
Whenever I.N. could he would teach you
Bath time was no exception
He would bring you over to your soap and bubble collection and let you pick out your favorites
He would want you to explain the scents as best as you could
"You picked the orange one! What one is that little one? Innie can't read it from here...Orange! That is an amazing choice little kit. What do oranges remind you of?"
Then as he filled the tub he would explain to you why bubbles were made and that more soap meant more bubbles
Which usually leads to half a bottle of bubbles being poured into the water
Then as you played with your different animal bath toys he would ask you different questions
"What sound does this one make little one?" "ooooo I love the little fish, where do you think he lives" "Ooooo that's a Koala little one! Which members do you think have met one before? Uncle Lixie and Channie? So smart little fox!"
His favorite thing was seeing the bright smile that graced your face as you learned more and more each day.
He really did have the smartest little one around.
