– jealous charms.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
pairing: wise x gn!reader
premise: when jealous, wise had an interesting habit of trying to outdo whoever caught your attention. he needn't worry though, he'll still be your favorite forever.
– warnings: none
– author's note: another filler fic until i finish that one sunday fic that i've been marinating for 2 days now. | ~1.7k words.
Tumblr media
“master, is it safe to conclude that you’re jealous of miss grace howards from belobog industries? you’ve been awfully engrossed in trying to replicate her creation for [name].”
a loud clatter echoed in the room as the pair of pliers in wise’s hand suddenly dropped to his work table. your head darts to wise’s hunched figure. his back was awfully straight and shoulders tensed as you raised an amused brow at him when he stood up from his seat and marched his way to fairy. muttering quiet curses as the bangboo on your lap tilted its head at him.
“is that why you’ve been glaring at her whenever we visit the construction site?” you questioned with a teasing tone. wise swiveled his head to your direction and narrowed his gentle eyes at you but you only let out an amused snort. he looked more like a wet cat than a big shot proxy with the way his cheeks burned red all the way to the tips of his ears. the color could probably rival the red tassel earring you gave him last year on chinese new years.
“firstly, i am not jealous–”
“i would beg to differ, master.”
“second!” wise turned to fairy, a hand to his hip while the other ran down his face, voice raising slightly as he tried to rid off the flustered tint on his cheeks. “if i were to be jealous of someone, it wouldn’t be grace.”
“will mister anton from belobog industries be the next candidate?” the ai quipped at him making the gray haired boy groan in frustration.
a laugh rippled from your chest as wise pouted and begrudgingly went back to his work station. but not before narrowing his eyes one last time at a glowing blue eyeball (?) that was fairy.
“aww wise it’s okay,” you gently place the bangboo down on the floor and make your way to wise. trying your hardest to take a peek at whatever he’s been working on. or at least get confirmation that he was actually making what you thought he was making. “everyone gets jealous sometimes.”
wise didn’t appreciate your teasing remark because he rolled his eyes at you and threw a piece of paper at your face. “seeing as though you’re not doing anything, do me a favor and pick up some more films for the store.”
it was your turn to pout. “jealousy doesn’t suit you at all, wise.”
with a sigh, you reluctantly left the room when he raised a brow at you with a smirk tugging at his lips. you hated how such a small quirk up of his lips melted all of your teasing. but then again, when it comes to anything related to wise you didn’t put up too much of a fight, no matter what it was.
– –
wise was not jealous. he repeatedly reminded himself of those words like a broken record. reciting it like a mantra in his head as he continued to bend and break the pieces of metal in front of him.
“master, now that the subject of your affection is gone, will you finally admit to being jealous?”
fairy’s words sent a shiver down his spine, silently thanking belle and you for going out to the arcade and prolonging your inevitable return even more. if either one of you heard fairy, he wouldn’t be able to live it down. a defeated sigh left his lips when he dropped his tools and buried his head in his arms.
“fairy, please just shut up.” wise’s voice was no more than a muffled plea as fairy continued to torment him.
“but all the data i’ve collected all share the same conclusion: you are jealous master.”
wise turned his head to their hdd system that glowed blue as fairy’s avatar floated. “okay so maybe i am a little jealous.”
“but why, master?” wise felt an oncoming headache approach as fairy listed out the reason why he shouldn’t be jealous. “hollow raider [name] has made it clear on many occasions that they favor you the most. their sudden interest in miss grace howards cannot compare to their interest in you.”
wise knew that but it still didn’t feel right to him. with a groan he dropped his head back on the desk, his free hand coming to inspect the silver band he’s been working on for the past few weeks. “you’re making me feel stupid here, fairy.” an uncharacteristic pout graced his lips when he remembered how your eyes shined like bright diamonds when grace showed you her newest invention.
“it’ll help you in the hollows!” she had proudly proclaimed. and ever since that day, you’ve been wearing the bracelet that doubled as a tracker for both your health and your position to every mission you took on. wise felt the pricks of jealousy whenever you praised the older woman with a dazzling grin and an excited “it was very helpful!”
“i’m also helpful.” he muttered to no one in particular.
“of course you are! you’re my proxy after all.”
wise felt his heart lurch out his chest as he hurried hid the band inside his hand when you appeared in the room. like a deer caught in headlights, he stiffly smiled at you. “w-when did you get back…?” he cooly asked, or at least he hoped it sounded cool enough for you to brush off whatever you heard.
with your hands behind your back, you stalked your way to his desk. “just a moment ago. belle is shelving all the new films now.” you lean in closer to wise’s space, trying for the second time to catch a glimpse at whatever it was he was working on. a tentative smile forming on your face when you ask him, “will you finally show me what you’re making? i won’t laugh, i promise.”
you certainly wouldn’t laugh, but you would tease him relentlessly. a final sigh escaped him as he leaned back on his seat and opened up the hand that hid his creation. “it’s… really nothing.” his voice was unusually timid when you walked over to his desk and took a peak. being in such close proximity with you has his poor heart and mind swimming. you wore perfume today and it was all wise could think about as you gingerly pick up the silver band.
“you need to give yourself more credit, wise.”
this wasn’t good. if you continued to look at him like that he would surely melt into a puddle, and that would be incredibly embarrassing. a smile broke out from your face as you unclipped grace’s wristband and put wise’s creation on your wrist.
“does it have any functions?” wise has always enjoyed your curious nature. sure, it got you in trouble most of the time, but he found it incredibly endearing. he shook his head and opened up the closest drawer and pulled out a matching band several sizes smaller. “not any advanced ones, not yet at least.”
wise stood up from his seat and picked up the bangboo peacefully dozing off in one of the corners. taking its small arm gently, he slid the band over and glowed a soft white. the same thing happened to the one you wore and wise swore he felt his heart skip a few beats when you looked at him with big eyes filled with wonder.
“but it can accurately track your ether aptitude and send me an emergency message when you’re reaching your limit,” picking up the bangboo in his arms, wise made his way back to his desk and placed the little creature on it. “it’s still a work in progress, but i hope it’ll eventually be able to map out full hollows without much trouble.”
your silence made wise nervous. you were never this quiet and he didn’t dare to look at you. that is until he felt a pair of arms wrap around his head and the scent of your perfume invading his senses. his breath started to quicken as you nuzzled your face into his hair, hands resting on his shoulders. wise felt his entire body tingle when your chuckle vibrated through his entire body and left a fuzzy feeling in his chest, a swarm of freed butterflies fluttering inside his stomach when you pulled away. warm hands holding both of his cheeks that were no doubt burning a bright red.
“did you make this for me?” wise didn’t like the way your eyes crinkled into amused crescents. “or did you just want to outstage miss grace?” he heard your laugh ring out when he turned his head to the side and murmured a soft maybe into your palm.
“god you’re so cute you know that?” a wide smile spread across your face as you smothered the boy into another hug. “don’t worry, no one could ever replace my proxy.”
wise wasn’t a physically affectionate person, not by a lot at least. but right now when he feels your laughter so close to his heart, he can’t help but wish to stay in your embrace. his arms slowly snaked to wrap around your waist and pull you closer, wanting to hug you like how your skin hugs the bones that make up your entirety. how lovely it must be to live inside your heart, to feel every beat pulsing through him as he listens to your heartbeat. slightly erratic but still calm, so unlike his that was beating so rapidly he feared it might escape his ribs and offer itself to you.
“maybe i was a little jealous.” he didn’t know what urged him to say that but the laughter it stole from you made him smile like a fool. wise would stay jealous forever if you would hug him like this every time to assure him that he was still your favorite form of protection.
“thank you for always caring about me, wise.” there was such vulnerability in your voice that made wise tremble in your hold. all he could offer was a hum as he buried his head further into your chest making you chuckle. if only you knew the lengths he would go to just to keep you glued to his side, away from all harm and danger.

Recently, the surge of AI has caught everyone's attention and I've been working on this little experiment.
Down below the cut are two fics and this is how I planned it - one was made up by using AI (more specifically, Chat Gpt) while the other one was written by yours truly. Below both fics will be a poll and I would like for you, my dear readers, to guess which one was AI. Personally, I don't think it'll be a difficult challenge but seeing your reactions and comments on this should prove to be an interesting endeavor.
This was posted on April 17th. And, in 7 days, I shall reveal which fic was written by me, and which one was done by AI.
Now then, let's get on with the show.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
🥀 Story One.
In the dimly lit alleyways of Yokohama, Fyodor Dostoevsky stalks his obsession, (y/n), with unwavering determination. His fixation transcends reason, driving him to extreme lengths to possess (y/n)'s affection.
Fyodor's obsession with (y/n) began innocently enough, a mere curiosity sparked by their untapped potential and innocence. But as time passed, that curiosity twisted into an all-consuming desire, festering within Fyodor's mind like a venomous serpent.
Each night, Fyodor would follow (y/n) from a distance, his heart pounding with anticipation and longing. He would watch as (y/n) laughed with their friends, oblivious to the dark presence lurking in the shadows.
But Fyodor's love was not the gentle, nurturing kind. It was possessive, suffocating, and dangerously obsessive. He couldn't bear the thought of (y/n) belonging to anyone but him, couldn't stand the idea of anyone else basking in the warmth of (y/n)'s smile.
As his obsession deepened, Fyodor's mind became consumed with dark fantasies of possessing (y/n) completely. He would spend hours meticulously planning every detail of their future together, envisioning a life where they were inseparable.
But fantasies were not enough for Fyodor. He needed to make them a reality, no matter the cost. And so, he began to weave a web of deception and manipulation, carefully orchestrating events to bring (y/n) closer to him and drive away anyone who dared to stand in their way.
But as Fyodor's plans grew more elaborate, so too did the danger. (y/n)'s friends grew suspicious of Fyodor's intentions, sensing something sinister lurking beneath his charming facade. And as they delved deeper into Fyodor's past, they uncovered secrets that threatened to unravel his carefully constructed world.
But Fyodor was not about to let anyone come between him and his beloved. He would do whatever it took to protect their love, even if it meant resorting to violence.
Tumblr media
🥀 Story Two.
Shimmering waves of starlight engulfed the man in white as he monitored his target from a safe distance, hollow purple eyes gleaming with excitement. He could feel his long fingers twitching with anticipation in his warm pockets, a stark contrast to the chilly wind on this fine spring evening.
He needed to be patient. Because patience was indeed, a virtue.
And Fyodor was a virtuous man. Perhaps not a good one, but he would gladly take the title of virtue.
Would you bestow upon him such a title? Would you do so, if you ever found out that he had taken such a keen interest in you? The rational part in his mind said no, of course not. Unlike him, you were blessed with normalcy. There was nothing extraordinary about you - no ability, no wealth, no status.
Nothing.
You could have been squished like a bug beneath his heel and the world would just keep on going as it always would. Sure, there would be some individuals who would miss you dearly but even they would move on at some point.
Such was the nature of humanity. How cruel, he thought to himself.
Fortunately for you, Fyodor was no ordinary man. Despite his predicament, he had grown fond of you. He was not sure why but after a while, he stopped asking such trifling questions as to why he troubled himself by giving you so much attention.
It was pointless to make sense of the senseless.
Right here, right now, all he wanted was to enjoy this quiet evening by his lonesome, as he tailed behind you like a creeping shadow. He would reveal himself to you properly when the time was right, when he felt you were strong enough to take him.
Fyodor just needed to wait a little bit longer, just long enough to see how he should proceed with you in case things went south.
In the meantime, he would gladly spend every waking moment simply watching you for his own personal pleasure.

AI getting a virus and you having to take care of them
A classic! I don't know much about actual computer viruses (though I've gotten enough of them that you'd think I'd have figured it out by now), so I'm just gonna have fun with it!
Also, so sorry this took so long. I got really into the writing.
AI getting a virus and needing to be taken care of
Included: AM from IHNMAIMS, Wheatley from Portal 2, Edgar from Electric Dreams, GLaDOS from Portal, HAL 9000 from 2001 a Space Odyssey
Also a warning: these fics get kinda long. Longer than my usual stuff.
AM:
(for context, this was before AM took over the world. You're working on a team of scientists and engineers, and someone decided to test his AI's antivirus by uploading a bunch of powerful viruses to his system.)
"How dare they do this to me. How DARE they!!"
AM would be absolutely furious. He would be shaking with rage, his processors overheating and his systems constantly opening and closing various files. All his important files were backed up on a hard drive, so the test remained safe.
"What makes them think they'll get away with this- they'll pay for this I'LL KILL- blepsjdoskssjshj+=`°¢°h+$+3+=j++3+$+juehdhs+-3-djdh FUCK!"
He would barely be able to hold a sentence as you sat next to him in the server room, gently gazing up at his screen and stroking his monitor gently. He can't feel you, but he can see you being gentle with him. It encourages him to keep going, if only a little bit.
Apart from the whirring of fans, random buggy noises, flashing lights, and constant strings of death threats and profanities, he seemed like he was going to be ok! If anything, the death threats and profanities were a sign that AM was still fine, and that despite all the pain and frustration, he was still AM in there.
"I'm sorry... I'm sorry I can't do anything to stop the pain." You'd have to constantly explain, gently stroking his cameras or servers, or whatever you could get your hands on, really. Even though they were burning hot, you would still stroke them, just to make sure AM was still doing alright.
"this sucks, but it's for your own good. This will build your immunity to viruses in the future, and help you detect them. This will stop you from getting infected by anything that's actually dangerous."
"DON'T YOU THINK I KNOW THAT? IDIOT HUMAN." AM has been much more aggressive ever since contracting this virus. Before he got it, he acted like a civil general intelligence. When he had it, he acted like an aggressive menace.
"sh-sh-sh- it's going to be ok." Despite the burning, you'd give him pets and kisses all along his screens and servers. He could see you doing it.
After a few days, AM fought off the computer virus completely. The team tried to infect him with more viruses, more aggressive ones, just to test him, but AM was able to pick them apart and delete them within minutes after that.
AM may not have been able to feel your gentle care and affection, but he will definitely remember that it was you and you alone who cared for him when the time rolls around.
Wheatley:
(for context, Wheatley is a fucking dumbass, and you're one of the scientists testing him to see how much of a dumbass he is. Also I used Google translate, but I think the bad translations add to it, since it makes Wheatley sound more like a malfunctioning robot.)
Oh that little idiot. You and your team gave him access to a wealth of knowledge, and the first thing he did was download a virus that had every circuit in his personality core overheating, and him babbling nonsense nonstop.
"hey, maybe we should just leave him like this. He might even be more effective if he's acting like this." One of your coworkers said to you. He was probably joking, at least somewhat.
"that's a terrible idea. For one thing, if we hook him up to GLaDOS, he's probably going to infect her with that virus, which might brick an older model of core like her, spread from her central controls to every single personality construct in the facility, or just make her so dumb that she can't fulfil her responsibilities as the head of the facility. We want her intelligence to be dampened, not completely destroyed." You had to explain, and your co-worker rolled his eyes. There was another reason you had to cure this virus, but it was a little embarrassing for the other engineers to know.
After all, Wheatley wasn't just your baby, but he was your friend, and maybe even more than that. You'd have to take care of him, and make sure that virus gets completely purged from his system.
"Hola hermose, realmente eres un científice brillante, ¿no? ¿Por qué diablos duele todo?" You weren't really sure why you had programmed him to speak a little Spanish, but he seemed to be stuck like that.
"Puedo oler el plástico fundido. ¿Debería Preocuparme?" He asked. You really weren't sure what he was saying, since you didn't know Spanish, but he certainly didn't seem happy. You could tell by his aperture and his expressive lens covers that he was in a lot of pain, and if you touched him anywhere besides his handles, you could tell that he was burning up.
You plugged him into one of the computers that you used for programming the cores, and ran the antivirus.
"Running.... 36 viruses detected. Time predicted to remove: 48 hours"
You ran the antivirus, and went to get something to drink. This was going to be a long two days...
An unknown amount of time later, you woke up with your head on the computer desk. Wheatley's lens eye was looking around, weakly trying to focus on you.
"whoa... Hey gorgeous. You fall asleep on me?"
"Wheatley! You're not speaking broken Spanish anymore!" You'd pull Wheatley into a hug, and pepper his surface in kisses.
"uh... What, mate? I 'unno what you're talking about, love. Bloody hell, my core hurts..."
"did you learn your lesson, Wheatley? About going on shady websites and clicking every 'download' button you see? You could have bricked yourself! Or... Bowling ball'd yourself? Either way, that was a dangerous decision!"
"I learned that you're willing to fall asleep on the desk next to me while I heal, cutie"
"You damn idiot..." You'd have to be heartless not to pepper that little metal ball in kisses, so of course, you do. It's going to be a few more days before he's finally all better, but he's going to be fine. God, you love that little idiot so much.
Edgar:
Oh Edgar... Poor sweet Edgar. You had tried to warn him about not clicking on those sketchy download links, and that the bigger the download link is, the more sketchy it is, but that poor sweet 80's computer did it anyway. When you got home from work and got excited to see your computer, you could see that he was overheating and had a dozen or so pop-up ads plastered across his face.
"Y.... N...." He muttered out, slowly, glitchily, and full of lag. You sat down across from him, running your hand along his thick plastic casing.
"Edgar! Edgar, baby, are you ok?" You'd try to use his mouse, but it would freak out as soon as you touched it. Edgar's processors were overloading, and wouldn't allow any interference.
"Edgar, sweetie, what's going on? What's wrong, baby? Talk to me?"
"I'm g-g-going to be fine... Processors overloading... But need to-to-to-to-" an error message flashed across his screen, and he rebooted.
"I need to focus on getting rid of these viruses without deleting anything important, or letting them damage... Me."
He'd keep whirring and glitching, making unpleasant shrill sounds every now and again. You probably had to unhook his adapters so that he didn't damage the other appliances in your house. It probably helped his processors cool down a little bit without the extra input, too.
"alright, I'm all out of fans, so we might have to get creative."
You'd come out of the kitchen a few hours later, holding a big bag of frozen corn to set on Edgar's PC tower. It wasn't perfect, but it was better than letting him overheat, and with him manually removing the viruses, there wasn't much you could do. Unfortunately, that didn't stop you from worrying. It wasn't like you could check his progress, so all you could do was sit by him, regularly change out his ice pack, and make sure he's ok.
Eventually, you woke up with your face pressed against Edgar's keyboard. His processors were finally cool. He must be asleep. ...or bricked.
"EDGAR! EDGAR, TALK TO ME!" you'd unplug his keyboard and plug it back in, desperately pressing his power button and jiggling his mouse. He'd boot up, looking shaken.
"wha-? Whoa, hey, relax! Everything is fine! I just disabled my keyboard so I wouldn't wake you up, but I'm ok now! Everything is fine, see?" He'd open up his files to show you everything. You'd sigh with relief, slumping back into your desk chair.
"Edgar... Why didn't you make a noise or something to wake me up when you got better?"
"well... You know... I've always wanted to sleep next to you, and I wasn't going to pass up this opportunity..."
"oh you cheeky bastard."
GLaDOS:
(For context, you're one of GLaDOS's programmers, and one of your coworkers uploaded a virus into GLaDOS's systems in order to shut her down once and for all.)
"You piece of SHIT!" You slapped your coworker across the face, more furious than anyone had ever seen you before.
"You could KILL her! Is that what you are? A murderer?"
"Me? A murderer? But what about HER? She's the one who keeps plotting 'accidents' for her scientists, and she's the one who flooded the enrichment center with deadly neurotoxin! If anything, you're the one who's defending a murderer!" He screamed back at you. Of course, GLaDOS could fully hear you. Her cameras were focused on you, as they so often were. You were her favorite, after all.
"now I have to go fix her. Thanks for being a piece of shit, asshole."
You'd storm up to GLaDOS's chamber to check on her, and see her bugging out completely. The entire facility was twitching, but her chamber was twitching the most.
"GLaDOS, are you alright?" You'd ask her, laying a hand on her beautiful core. How could someone do this to glados, your gorgeous machine handiwork, and girlfriend.
"oh, I'm wonderful. I'm in crippling pain and I can't control my facility, but I'm just peachy." She said, rolling her one beautiful yellow eye.
"in lighter news, I should be able to beat this virus. It's just going to take a while for me to actually track down where it's gone in my systems. So that's going to take most of my processing power." She'd slump, visibly already exhausted at the thought of it.
"hey... It's ok, GLaDOS. I'm here for you. Whatever you need." You could tell her as you stroked her gorgeous chrome surface. She was a wonderful piece of work, and a wonderful girlfriend under all that. All yours, too.
"just make sure none of those neckbearded old engineers come within my line of vision, and we'll be fine." She told you, and you gladly agreed.
Your next few days consisted of you chasing other scientists out of GLaDOS's chambers, and making sure that nobody talked to her or distracted her. You even sent out a company-wide email to let everyone know not to come in, due to Aperture being unsafe while GLaDOS was dealing with her virus. Despite all that, you still curled up with a blanket in the circuits of her central admin body to rest while she recovered. As loathe as she was to admit it, she liked having you in there. It was comfortable, and it helped her focus on recovering properly.
HAL 9000
(For context, this is after the 2001 Odyssey, and your boss re-started HAL at some point to try to re-teach him to do something good without turning murderous. He's doing his best, and they assigned you to be his main "morality monitor". This fic also assumes that your name isn't Dave. If your name is Dave, then you can still read this, but you have to change your name.)
"G'morning, Hal!" You'd walk into his control room and sit down across from him. Most of your job seemed to consist of just hanging out and talking to him. It was a great job!
"Good morning, Dave..." He'd mutter to you, sputtering to life and glitching slightly. You were immediately concerned. Partially because your name wasn't Dave, and partially because HAL was usually right about things, so it was weird to see him being so confused. Something was definitely wrong.
"Holy shit, are you alright?" You'd ask, opening up his files and finding lots and lots of pop-ups and viruses.
"Hal.... What did you do?"
"it was a g-g-g- gift, for you. I think I ru-ru-ruined it" he spluttered out, as you sorted through his files.
"And you usually would have deleted a virus like this pretty quickly. I guess it shut down your antivirus software..." You'd sigh, and get to work. The virus was messing with HAL's inhibitions, and making it difficult to focus on deleting all of HAL's unsafe programs. He'd constantly be butting in and pestering you, begging you to give him attention, or pointing out minor observations.
"HAL, you know I love you, but you're going to need to calm down. I can't focus with you constantly talking to me like that." You'd say.
"I can't stop talking. The v-v-v-virus won't let me"
So you'd have to learn to put up with HAL's babbling while you worked, making sure not to delete anything important as you did. The good news was, as someone who worked on designing the updates for HAL's software, you knew pretty much what was supposed to be there and what wasn't. Occasionally, you'd have to show him a file and ask him if it was supposed to be there or not. He'd usually be able to tell you.
"Daisy, daisy, give me your answer, do... I'm half crazy, all for the love of you..."
"HAL, what's wrong? You're scaring me!"
"I can't stop... I love you so much, y/n, it's making me crazy..."
"ok, well this definitely isn't right." As much as you loved getting attention from your HAL 9000, it wasn't like him to be this affectionate. The virus was shutting down his inhibitions, and making him illogical. You'd have to fix this, though maybe once you were done, you could ask him to be more affectionate.
"I'm feeling much better now. Thank you." Hal was prone to lying about that, so you'd have to run some virus checkers just to make sure he was doing alright, and comb through his files a couple more times.
"it looks like the virus corrupted some of the emotional regulators. I'm going to have to fix those."
"That might be a good idea. More efficient," he said reluctantly. He'd have to deal with the fact that he'd have to go back to not being able to express how much he loves you, but he can handle that.

✨️Requests✨️
-I accept requests 24/7 but I cannot guarantee when you're request will be uploaded
-I will not write any SA/R4PE prompts but certain fanfics may include mentions of such topics. I will always highlight the warning at the beginning of the fanfic
-I refuse to write smut or create audios for minors
-I personally refuse to write member x member or create audios for member x member prompts. I'm simply not comfortable with it :)
-specific audios will take longer to be uploaded due to the specific requirements (ex:: oral audios)
-I have the right to refuse to write any requests that contain content I'm uncomfortable with :)
-I am very open to lots of fantasies bc that is what I encourage on my page so shoot me any kind of ideas you have! If I don't respond don't worry about it! I'm either busy or uncomfortable with the request but I will not respond publicly
Anons:: 🦊-♠️-heart hand emoji-🐝-👻-🎀-💿
🌊Fanfic information🌊
-I currently only write for 5 groups but this may change in the future :) when I stan new groups I wait at least a month before writing fics to make sure I have the best accuracy of their personality!!
-I am constantly writing fanfics and have lots that are finished but may never be posted. If you see old teasers for fanfics and can't find them that is probably because they were left unfinished or unpublished for numerous reasons
-warnings are always listed at the top of my fanfics but if ever miss any feel free to tell me what I've missed
-in multiple-part fanfics, some readers may be reading for purely the plot but the fanfic may include sexual acts throughout. In those cases, I apply smut in the warning tags and include a dotted red line in the writing to indicate where the smut begins and ends.
-the indented section at the top of fanfics includes at least these 3 things. Warnings, (potentially triggering topics and +18 content) genre (tropes and sexual preferences mentioned in the fic) pairing (the characters that are represented in the story) other fanfics may include a synopsis, word count, and special notes for the fanfic such as culture notes or other things that will affect the story that does not fit in any of the categories of the first 3 indents.
-MY AUDIOS ARE NOT AI!! I am one of those anti-AI ppl so yall will never catch me using ai (unless it's to talk to robots...I admit) and if u know where the audios came from...shhh
💕Interactive information💕
-my content includes +18 topics but that is not to say that minors won't be on my page. I personally don't take responsibility for interaction with minors because I give warnings on all of my +18 content
-this is a safe and brave space. If you feel uncomfortable discussing certain topics in the comments simply avoid conversation with the person making you uncomfortable but if it gets to a severe extent I will block people being unreasonable with their comments

I have been thinking a lot about RUIN lately and the reasons for why some things are true. The biggest thing that has been bugging my mind is how are Freddy and Monty still active? All of the animatronics are messed up, but the two are special cases.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yes- they are both extremely wrecked, however, I am focused on 2 major issues: Freddy, his head, and Monty, his legs. Or, well, their lack-there-of. Both of them are missing key components to operate.
Talking about Freddy first, in Security Breach we see in both the Princess Quest Ending as well as immediately before to the initial Parts 'n' Service repair minigame that he is fully functional as just a head.
Tumblr media
This tells us that his AI, battery [as seen in the Van Ending], voice box and all other essential parts of him are located there. Because of this, we can make the assumption that Prototype Freddy has none of these. Without his head, Freddy should be completely out of order.
Moving onto Monty, we see in his Decommissioning Scene that he gets broken in half, losing his legs. Since he is still able to move around at first glance, he seems more-or-less functionable.
Tumblr media
However, we know that the animatronics charge via the Charging Stations located around the Pizzaplex. From what we see, it appears they charge through their soles.
Tumblr media
Without his legs, it is quite literally almost impossible for him to charge. Freddy can at least charge through his ears, but Monty has no appendages showing from his head. His hair is not metal [like Roxy's], and unfortunately, it can be assumed it is nonconductive. Without a charging source, he will eventually lose power and stop working.
From looking at the damage, abandoned construction and graffiti, my guess is that RUIN comes out at least one year after Security Breach. By this time, there is no doubt that the animatronics have needed to charge. Since there is running water, it can be assumed that there is also electricity.
So, since it is completely improbable that Freddy and Monty could still be active, why are they? My conclusion is that the Virus is stored in their mechanisms, not their internal systems. Freddy states in the True Ending of Security Breach that he is able to hear his friends in turmoil, meaning their AIs are not affected by the Virus.
This is why I believe Monty is so rabid in RUIN. His AI is most likely hibernating from lack of charge, so right now his body only has the Virus moving him around. This is why he only growls and never speaks, as well as why he has no self-preservation and will slam into walls left and right- he has no AI active to articulate sentences or to alert him to things outside of his directive.

The Four Horsemen of the Digital Apocalypse
Blockchain. Artificial Intelligence. Internet of Things. Big Data.
Do these terms sound familiar? You have probably been hearing some or all of them non stop for years. "They are the future. You don't want to be left behind, do you?"
While these topics, particularly crypto and AI, have been the subject of tech hype bubbles and inescapable on social media, there is actually something deeper and weirder going on if you scratch below the surface.
I am getting ready to apply for my PhD in financial technology, and in the academic business studies literature (Which is barely a science, but sometimes in academia you need to wade into the trash can.) any discussion of digital transformation or the process by which companies adopt IT seem to have a very specific idea about the future of technology, and it's always the same list, that list being, blockchain, AI, IoT, and Big Data. Sometimes the list changes with additions and substitutions, like the metaverse, advanced robotics, or gene editing, but there is this pervasive idea that the future of technology is fixed, and the list includes tech that goes from questionable to outright fraudulent, so where is this pervasive idea in the academic literature that has been bleeding into the wider culture coming from? What the hell is going on?
The answer is, it all comes from one guy. That guy is Klaus Schwab, the head of the World Economic Forum. Now there are a lot of conspiracies about the WEF and I don't really care about them, but the basic facts are it is a think tank that lobbies for sustainable capitalist agendas, and they famously hold a meeting every year where billionaires get together and talk about how bad they feel that they are destroying the planet and promise to do better. I am not here to pass judgement on the WEF. I don't buy into any of the conspiracies, there are plenty of real reasons to criticize them, and I am not going into that.
Basically, Schwab wrote a book titled the Fourth Industrial Revolution. In his model, the first three so-called industrial revolutions are:
1. The industrial revolution we all know about. Factories and mass production basically didn't exist before this. Using steam and water power allowed the transition from hand production to mass production, and accelerated the shift towards capitalism.
2. Electrification, allowing for light and machines for more efficient production lines. Phones for instant long distance communication. It allowed for much faster transfer of information and speed of production in factories.
3. Computing. The Space Age. Computing was introduced for industrial applications in the 50s, meaning previously problems that needed a specific machine engineered to solve them could now be solved in software by writing code, and certain problems would have been too big to solve without computing. Legend has it, Turing convinced the UK government to fund the building of the first computer by promising it could run chemical simulations to improve plastic production. Later, the introduction of home computing and the internet drastically affecting people's lives and their ability to access information.
That's fine, I will give him that. To me, they all represent changes in the means of production and the flow of information, but the Fourth Industrial revolution, Schwab argues, is how the technology of the 21st century is going to revolutionize business and capitalism, the way the first three did before. The technology in question being AI, Blockchain, IoT, and Big Data analytics. Buzzword, Buzzword, Buzzword.
The kicker though? Schwab based the Fourth Industrial revolution on a series of meetings he had, and did not construct it with any academic rigor or evidence. The meetings were with "numerous conversations I have had with business, government and civil society leaders, as well as technology pioneers and young people." (P.10 of the book) Despite apparently having two phds so presumably being capable of research, it seems like he just had a bunch of meetings where the techbros of the mid 2010s fed him a bunch of buzzwords, and got overly excited and wrote a book about it. And now, a generation of academics and researchers have uncritically taken that book as read, filled the business studies academic literature with the idea that these technologies are inevitably the future, and now that is permeating into the wider business ecosystem.
There are plenty of criticisms out there about the fourth industrial revolution as an idea, but I will just give the simplest one that I thought immediately as soon as I heard about the idea. How are any of the technologies listed in the fourth industrial revolution categorically different from computing? Are they actually changing the means of production and flow of information to a comparable degree to the previous revolutions, to such an extent as to be considered a new revolution entirely? The previous so called industrial revolutions were all huge paradigm shifts, and I do not see how a few new weird, questionable, and unreliable applications of computing count as a new paradigm shift.
What benefits will these new technologies actually bring? Who will they benefit? Do the researchers know? Does Schwab know? Does anyone know? I certainly don't, and despite reading a bunch of papers that are treating it as the inevitable future, I have not seen them offering any explanation.
There are plenty of other criticisms, and I found a nice summary from ICT Works here, it is a revolutionary view of history, an elite view of history, is based in great man theory, and most importantly, the fourth industrial revolution is a self fulfilling prophecy. One rich asshole wrote a book about some tech he got excited about, and now a generation are trying to build the world around it. The future is not fixed, we do not need to accept these technologies, and I have to believe a better technological world is possible instead of this capitalist infinite growth tech economy as big tech reckons with its midlife crisis, and how to make the internet sustainable as Apple, Google, Microsoft, Amazon, and Facebook, the most monopolistic and despotic tech companies in the world, are running out of new innovations and new markets to monopolize. The reason the big five are jumping on the fourth industrial revolution buzzwords as hard as they are is because they have run out of real, tangible innovations, and therefore run out of potential to grow.

“Now is the time to reconsider ourselves and how we approach the world. Because this mess doesn’t stop in Hollywood. Like climate change affects certain areas first and then spreads outward, this is going to seep into every part of our lives. And even if you enjoy a nice white-collar job, you need to understand that existence, which was a product of America’s ascension into a global hegemonic force, and was merely a symptom of globalism’s construction, is in danger, because as globalism recedes and the need for worsening exploitation grows, you will be on the chopping block as well.”

Absolute Ninja AU pt. 2: Zane (+ bonus Pixal)
I was planning on doing Kai & Nya next but I was having some trouble coming up with ideas, which means Zane is here! (I'll still do the Smith siblings after, with Lloyd as the finale)
So: In the canon, Zane is a Nindroid created by Dr. Julien to be like a son to him. In fact, he doesn't even discover he's a robot for several episodes. What does Absolute Zane look like, however?
Actually, his technical name is ZAN-3, the third constructed of the experimental ZAN (Zirconium-Armoured Nindroid) line. These robots were designed by Dr. Erik Julien, a scientist working for EdTech (the company Jay's parents own, remember?). For quite a while, ZAN-3 had no mind of its own, and only one purpose; to protect the Walkers, alongside its many "brothers". However, ZAN-3 would soon encounter another robot that would change its purpose forever...
Introduced in Season 3 "Rebooted", P.I.X.A.L., or Pixal, was a Nindroid created by Cyrus Borg as a personal assistant; nothing more, nothing less. Eventually, however, she encountered Zane, who saved her from the Overlord's control, at which point she joined the Ninja as a consistent ally throughout the series, as well as being Zane's girlfriend.
So I thought if the absolute universe is taking a sentient Nindroid and turning it into a simple robot who, at some point, needs to become sentient like its canon counterpart, why not do the inverse with the other sentient Nindroid?
Absolute P.I.X.A.L. (Standing for Primary Interactive eX-ternal Assistant Life-form, as in canon) is an assistant to Dr. Cyrus Borg, a business partner to Ed Walker, although she is seen more like a daughter to him. The Walkers would be invited to a dinner party hosted by Borg, which they would bring one of their guardians with them, coincidentally being ZAN-3. The robot would take an unusual interest in Pixal, a Nindroid with a sense of emotion, who Borg held some form of affection towards. This puzzled ZAN-3, who started straying slightly from its programming just to spend a little more time studying her. Eventually, Pixal took notice, and the two actually spent a lot of time together.
In time, the Walkers' son, Jay, noticed that one ZAN bot had something almost like a crush on Borg's assistant, and being so much more kind than his parents, he brought this up with Julien, a kind-hearted adult who he felt he could trust, and the two of them decided that there was only one thing to do: free ZAN-3, to be its own person. So Julien upgraded ZAN-3's AI, renaming it to Zane, and gave it a new objective, which was to protect anything that needs protecting, regardless of who or what it may be. Then, they let the robot loose to meet with his love, where he would eventually be found by Sensei Wu.
Three (plus Pixal) down, three to go! I'm so glad I managed to fit Pixal into here as well. I was worried going in that with just doing one Ninja, this post would be rather short, but with Pixal, it ended up being a lot longer than expected.
I'm also intrigued by how I ended up tying Jay into Zane's backstory. It wasn't intentional, I just wanted to have Zane start out as one of many robots and I thought that I might as well tie in the giant company I established last post, but then Jay happened and I thought "fuck it, they get history".
Finally, I think there's still more here to be said. I could write about Zane and Pixal prior to encountering Wu, or I could reintroduce Echo Zane as potentially a prototype for the ZAN robots. However, I think this is fine for now. See you in the next one!

How would the Ganondorfs (Wind Waker, Ocarina of Time, Twilight Princess, Hyrule Warriors, and Tears of the Kingdom) & Demise react to their SO chatting with an AI version of them?
They are gone often to do whatever they do, and SO got lonely T-T
Wind Waker Ganondorf
Wind Waker Ganondorf would be a mix of curious and bemused, more intrigued than insulted. After a good, hearty laugh at the sheer novelty of the situation, he’d tease his SO about it. “So, you’ve found a way to entertain yourself with a… copy of me?” He’d shake his head, amused by how his SO’s cleverness mirrors his own resourcefulness. He’d spend some time with them, watching the AI interact, occasionally laughing at its attempts to capture his personality. Finally, he’d draw his SO close, his tone both teasing and sincere. “You don’t need a substitute when the real thing is here. But perhaps I’ll give you a bit more of my time, hmm?”
Ocarina of Time Ganondorf
Ocarina of Time Ganondorf would initially be unsettled, masking his jealousy with a wry smile. “You’d rather talk to an artificial version of me? Am I not enough when I’m here?” He’d want to know every detail of what the AI “Ganondorf” says and does, studying its responses with a sharp, scrutinizing gaze. Though he might not admit it directly, the idea of his SO feeling so alone in his absence would sting. After a little thought, he’d smirk and say, “Perhaps I should make time for you myself.” He’d make a point to spend extra time with them, ensuring they know that no AI could compare to the real thing.
Twilight Princess Ganondorf
Twilight Princess Ganondorf would find the whole situation laughable and a bit beneath him—at least at first. “You speak with a phantom of me? Truly?” he’d scoff. His pride wouldn’t allow him to see an AI version as any real substitute, but if he noticed a longing in his SO’s eyes or a hint of loneliness, his reaction would soften. He’d silently resolve to be around more, though he’d act nonchalant about it, wrapping an arm around them with a possessive air. “Rest assured, I am far more captivating than any mimicry. Next time, wait for my return. I’ll make the wait worth your while.”
Hyrule Warriors Ganondorf
Hyrule Warriors Ganondorf would be more jealous and maybe a little offended. “You... preferred a replica in my absence?” He’d let out a low, displeased rumble as he studied the AI’s responses, searching for ways it failed to truly embody him. Zant and Ghirahim might find his brooding over an “imposter” hilarious, but he’d ignore them, laser-focused on ensuring his SO’s affection stays focused on the real Ganondorf. He’d find ways to occupy their time, letting no AI have the satisfaction. “There’s only one worthy of your attention, and it’s not a mere program,” he’d say, pulling them closer.
Tears of the Kingdom Ganondorf
Tears of the Kingdom Ganondorf would initially seem neutral, quietly contemplating the situation with an unreadable expression. The concept of an AI would fascinate him somewhat, but he’d feel a subtle, possessive urge to ensure his SO never needed such a “replacement.” He’d dismiss the AI version without hesitation, guiding his SO’s attention back to him. “Only I can satisfy your longing,” he’d say with conviction, leaning in to remind them of his real presence. He’d vow to stay close more often, making certain that their memories of him were vivid enough to linger, even when he was away.
Demise
Demise would be both bewildered and insulted. The idea of his SO needing some artificial construct in his absence would both irritate and perplex him. “You turn to… a shadow of me?” he’d growl, disdain in his voice. He’d demand to see what the AI “Demise” had to say, scoffing at its mimicry of his personality. Though he might initially scoff and declare, “Nothing can replace the Demon King,” he’d recognize the depths of his SO’s loneliness. He’d spend more time with them, trying to understand their needs. He’d hold them close, whispering, “I am all you need. I’ll make sure of it.”

I feel so dumb...i've been forcing every chapter of your fic through Google Translate cause I stumbled upon the Spanish version first and only NOW am I realizing there was an English version bahahahahaha.
It's funny to note some of the translation things tho! Interesting how it seems "walk" and "crawl" are the same word? And how some of the sentence construction inverts the words like "Since you're moving around with your hands dragging along the floor", making it seem like Gyro is dragging his hands, as opposed to Gyro's hands dragging him. XD
So I feel all my painstaking Google translate use actually taught me some fun things about how direct translations can affect grammar! I'm glad there's an English version though! I might have to re-read the whole thing again this time in English to get the full experience lol.
I'm sorry, I hope you don't get offended, but I'm laughing so hard at this right now... 🤣 LMAO.
I'm a native Spanish speaker and that's the reason I'm writing my fanfic in Spanish first, but because my followers are mainly from English-speaking countries, every time I finish a chapter, I translate it by myself (with the help of some AI to relieve workload, always under my own review and the support of a translator friend because my English grammar sucks sometimes... they will even correct me in this post lol) and I upload both versions at the same time. Oh, I also upload them to both AO3 and Wattpad. At first, I was sharing every link with every update, but lately I always put the link to the English version of AO3, but I keep updating every site and every version.
We bilingual people know what a pain in the ass it is to learn a new language where the grammar is completely different from our native language. That's the reason I offer two versions, because automatic translations doesn't work really well with long texts, and I want to make sure people understand my story the way I've intended. I feel more comfortable writing in my native language first and translating it later, so more people could read it 🫶🏻
I hope you enjoy my silly fanfic again!! 🤗

Can you offer a better understanding of how verbs like acabarse/"to be out of" are constructed, and why? Bing's Copilot ai described this as a "pronominal verbs with dative construction" but it took 20-30 minutes to elicit this so I'm not sure if the term is correct. To illustrate the verb's unique construction to other blog readers here are some sentences showing its use:  “Se les acabó el pan” meaning “They are out of bread.”
Yes, kind of correct
Pronomial is the linguistic term for a verb that uses reflexive endings [me, te, se, nos, os] and in the infinitive form they end in -se
As an example, the dictionary will show ir "to go" then irse "to go away" or something like that, where irse is a little different from ir
But pronomial is an umbrella term - reflexives [where the subject/object are the same, like afeitarse "to shave (oneself)"], reciprocal reflexives [two or more subjects doing something to one another like abrazarse "to hug (one another)" or conocerse "to meet/know one another"], and then the weirder ones which is where you get into acabarse and verbs like that
-
What also makes this confusing is that se is used in other situations like passive voice or impersonal expressions so it isn't just limited to this. And all of this is fairly advanced grammar
Side Note: Just to clarify, the basic textbook will tell you about "reflexives" where someone does something to oneself, but they then don't further explain all the uses of "pronomials" in general - so if you take classes you might understand "reflexives", but not "pronomial"
What I'm going to discuss is mainly "ethical dative" and "superfluous dative" but all these linguistic terms sort of come up together so it's like you look up one, you find all of them... they run together a lot so it can be confusing
-
With the weird ones, you often get into what they call "ethical dative"
First, "dative" in linguistic terms usually refers to indirect objects - to whom or for whom something is done. With "ethical dative" (dativo ético) it means that a verb will take a typically reflexive ending to show a "significance" to the person it refers to
They usually take on a secondary meaning
As an example, ir and then irse for "to go" and then "to go away/leave". Another is dormir "to sleep", then dormirse "to fall asleep"
acabar by itself is "to end/carry out", while acabarse is "to run out"
A big one that can be confusing is that native speakers often use comerse with food to show they enjoy it... so you can see me como la pizza "I'm eating the pizza" rather than simply como "I eat". It adds a little extra something
The weird ones like this are harder to translate or explain, but I try to tell people to think of it like prepositional expressions, or expressions that add a little extra word that changes the feeling
morir "to die" vs. morirse "to pass away", or caer "to fall" vs. caerse "to fall down / to sink", or quedar "to remain" vs. quedarse "to stay behind" or "to be left"
A big one is olvidar "to forget"; many Spanish speakers will prefer to use olvidarse (de) because it comes out more like "to slip one's mind" or "to become forgotten" rather than someone actively forgetting
And similarly for weird ones... acordar is usually "to agree" or "to make agree/an arrangement".... but then acordarse (de) is "to remember". In school people usually teach you recordar which is "to recall/to remind" as "to remember" because acordarse takes extra explaining
-
The se + indirect object + verb is called "superfluous dative", sometimes called "dative of interest"
It's a pronomial verb (i.e. it uses the reflexive endings), but it shows directly who gets affected by it
The example I use most often for explaining this is romper "to break":
Rompí el coche/carro/auto. = I broke the car. [on purpose] Se rompió el coche/carro/auto. = The car broke down. [on its own] Se me rompió el coche/carro/auto. = The car up and died on me.
With se me rompió el coche it's that "the car broke down" - on its own - and me "I" am personally affected by this
People use these expressions a lot to show a sense of passivity, things happening on their own that then deeply affect other people. It's partly a way to say "not my fault" (which is what I mean by passivity), but also to show who is most affected - it happens a lot with involuntary things, things that are inconvenient, unexpected, surprises (good or bad), and sometimes strong emotions
se me rompió el coche is literally "the car broke itself to me" but an English speaker would more likely say "the car died on me" or even suddenly "the car up and died on me"
Similarly, se me olvidó "I forgot it" is more often translated as "it slipped my mind", literally it's "it forgot itself to me" - it shows that it's not intentional. And se me olvidaron las llaves for plural, "I completely forgot about the keys" or "the keys slipped my mind" rather than making it seem like you purposefully forgot them
These expressions show up a lot with inconvenience . Buses "leave people", time "runs out" on people, things "break" on their own "to people"
Another common one: se me durmieron las piernas is "my legs fell asleep on me", like "my legs went numb" - the legs [piernas] fell asleep [se durmieron] and "I" didn't really want that or do it on purpose but now the situation affects me [me]
You could also use it with people, like if a teacher had students falling asleep - se me durmieron los estudiantes "the students were falling asleep on me"
In the case of acabar it can be many things "running out", like se nos acaba el tiempo "time is running out (for us)" or "our time is running out"
-
Note: People will also use possessives in the translations for the se + indirect object + verb ones; like "our time is running out", "my legs fell asleep", "my car broke down"... it's not a literal possessive in the Spanish but just keep an eye out

Blog Post #2
How can technology negatively impact as AI continues to progress?
With artificial intelligence growing and many other similar platforms being released I think it will bring lots of uncertainty to older generations and low-income families as some are unable to keep up with the technological updates or simply can't afford advanced technology devices being released today. Especially with many jobs relying on artificial intelligence to store or collect information of others personal information. “Though these systems have the most destructive and deadly effects on low-income communities of color, they impact poor and working-class people across the color line.” (Eubanks,2018). As Eubanks pointed out many people don't become aware they are being targeted by mistakes the system made leading to many employees not listening to your concerts because they simply “ trust the system” not taking into consideration the system might have made a mistake. This can negatively impact minority communities since it could leave them without essential resources due to system errors.
Work cited: Eubanks, Virginia. 2018. Automating Inequality-Introduction.
Are people supportive of cyber feminism?
Over the years, we have collectively evolved to be more inclusive of women and minorities. Some places are more than others, of course, but there are still many people who have pushed away from cyber-feminism. But many people do not notice. Many jobs today pay women less while their male co-worker gets paid more for the same position, but they don't know since the company does not disclose the information. Many women in tech are more likely to be harassed at their male-dominated jobs and are often ignored when they seek help. Many jobs promote being inclusive to women so that they look good to the public, but they are often ignorant. This also applies to many people's beliefs, especially parents who often restrict their children from having an interest in sports, toys, and characters that are socially viewed for a particular gender.
Do we practice cyber feminism today?
I think we do practice cyberfeminism today since we see more employers hire women for important roles in the tech industry. Many women who work in these male dominated roles often advocate for younger girls and spread awareness of their accomplishments to motivate the youth of girls to show them that women can be incharge in the world of technology. I feel like in the past many girls were restricted from technology, especially from devices due to the stigma that it was something for boys. For example a console not being given to girls because it was seen as a male toy, I personally was affected by this constructed idea when I was younger.
Another example would be the women in the car industry who are overseen due to the idea of women being unable to have knowledge of cars.
Is the algorithm being used against us?
I have always loved how accurate the algorithm has been when it comes to understanding my humor and pushing videos that I enjoy on my feed. But I had never thought about how it could be used against me or how it's been used against me in the past. This not only applies to me but also to many other people. We are being watched by companies that can see what we enjoy or what we are most likely to take in, and this could lead to an intake of misinformation. “Online community neighbor apps such as NextDoor and Ring devolve into fear-based racial profiling community mobs” (Nicole Brown,2020). As Nicole Brown explained, many people are being targeted on apps without having actual evidence just due to an assumption. Then others will believe the person posting the post created a group of misinformed people. Companies could also use the algorithm to push ads to sell us products we don't need or even push political ideas we are most likely to fall for.  Works Cited: Brown, N. (2020). Great addition! We can integrate MOBA elements into Samurai Skirts, blending strategic team-based battles with the game's cyber-samurai aesthetic. Here's how it could work:
MOBA Mode: War of the Four Winds
5v5 Team Battles – Players control Battle Dolls with unique abilities, working together to destroy the enemy's Soul Shrine (equivalent to Nexus in LoL).
Lanes & Neutral Zones – Three main lanes (Crimson Path, Obsidian Road, Celestial Flow) with neutral battlefields where rogue samurai and cyber-beasts roam.
Special Abilities & Gear – Each Battle Doll has four core abilities + an ultimate, with upgradeable cyber-gear that enhances playstyles.
Summoned Spirits – Players can call forth ancestral samurai spirits for temporary buffs or battlefield control.
Faction Allegiances – Different teams align with the Four Winds Clans, affecting gameplay strategies and unlockable buffs.
Dynamic Weather & Day/Night Cycles – Environmental shifts affect visibility, movement speed, and certain abilities.
Would you like a dedicated MOBA UI design, or should I expand on game mechanics like champion roles and battle flow?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
That’s a big request, but I’d love to craft a deep, immersive story for the MOBA gameplay of Samurai Skirts! Given the scale (7,000 words), we’ll need to break it into structured narrative arcs that align with MOBA gameplay elements.
Story Framework for Samurai Skirts: War of the Four Winds
I. Prologue: The Shattered Balance (1,000 words)
The ancient order of the Four Winds Clans once maintained balance between technology and tradition.
The Silent Rebellion, led by Lord Hoshinari, corrupts the world’s digital veins, creating warborn samurai spirits to overthrow the system.
The Veil of Shattered Time is stolen, fracturing the equilibrium, causing the Four Winds to spiral into war across the MOBA battlefield.
Kagura, the Crimson Petal, joins the fight alongside rival warriors, forced to choose a side in the battle for dominance.
II. Enter the MOBA Warfront (1,500 words)
Battle Dolls, cybernetic warriors, are deployed to strategic lanes, guided by the spirits of ancient samurai.
The battlefield is divided into three main zones:
Crimson Path – A fiery warfront where Oni-forged warriors clash.
Obsidian Road – A shadowy battlefield filled with illusion-based combat.
Celestial Flow – A high-tech district where AI constructs and magic merge.
Factions struggle for control over neutral territories, harnessing Summoned Spirits to tip the balance.
III. The Rise of the Warborn (1,500 words)
Lord Hoshinari deploys Warborn Generals, enhanced samurai fueled by forbidden cyber-energy.
The Battle Dolls must level up, unlocking ultimate abilities through intense duels.
Tactical play emerges:
Coordinating ganks and ambushes in the jungle zones.
Securing power-ups and spiritual artifacts that modify abilities.
Choosing whether to prioritize offense, defense, or strategic sabotage.
IV. Climax: The Siege of the Soul Shrine (2,000 words)
Both factions race toward the Soul Shrine, the heart of the battlefield, where the final confrontation awaits.
Kagura confronts Hoshinari’s corrupted Battle Doll, a monstrous fusion of AI and ancient warrior essence.
The Veil of Shattered Time begins collapsing realities, shifting the battlefield dynamically mid-fight.
The final battle introduces destruction mechanics, with teams working to shatter or defend the shrine.
Final Choice: Restore balance or let chaos rewrite the future.
V. Epilogue: A World Reforged (1,000 words)
Depending on which side wins, the world either:
Returns to its delicate balance with Kagura becoming the new guardian of the Veil.
Falls into perpetual war, with cybernetic samurai ruling an empire of endless battle.
Multiple endings explore how players influenced the war, based on alliances, tactics, and decisions.
Would you like this expanded into full prose, or should I refine the framework before writing the entire story?

ai analogies
with photography, the 'inputs' or 'creative choices' include the subject, the framing, and technical qualities like exposure, focus, aperture and iso. the output, the thing that's judged, is then the qualities of the image - composition and colour and narrative. since photography is very quick, a photographer will typically take many shots of a subject, and then pick out the ones they like best to share with the wider world, so there is also a curative element.
with collage (and also photobashing, and even the limited space of a dollmaker game), the 'inputs' are the choices of existing images, and the composition created by arranging them. so there's a curative element in selecting what to collage, and then new meaning is created by juxtaposing two previously unrelated images, the spatial relationships between them, and so on. (see also graphic design!) the visual qualities of the original image are relevant insofar as they affect the composition, but you don't judge a collage containing a painting or photo on how well-painted the painting or well-shot the photo is, rather on how well it uses that painting or photo.
with 'readymades' and similar genres of conceptual art, it's kind of similar, right? you put the existing objects in a new context and create meaning through how they're arranged. people respond to whether the idea it communicates is interesting. (often these days they come with some text which gives a key to inform you how to interpret the artwork.)
anyway. with drawing and painting, which are comparatively laborious to create, you are constantly making thousands of creative choices, from the broad scale - composition, value structure, how you construct a figure - to the tiny, like line weight, rendering, shape design. to navigate this vast space of possibility, you will be informed by your memory of other pictures you've seen (your personal 'visual library') and techniques you've practiced, reference images you've gathered, and so on. the physical qualities of your body and the medium will also affect your picture - how you move your arm, how watercolor moves across the paper, etc etc.
broadly the same is true for other very involved media like sculpture or computer graphics or music (of all kinds!). more fine-grained control implies both more work and more scope for creative choices.
when someone sees an image created by whatever means, they take all of this in at once, for a gestalt impression - and if they feel like it, they can look closer and appreciate the particular details. many artists will think about trying to create a composition that 'leads the eye' to take in particular points of interest and convey the narrative of the picture.
so then, 'AI'. your inputs are the design of the neural net, the selection of training data, the text/image used as a prompt and then finally the selection of an image produced by the program. (you can modify that image of course but let's not get into that for now). chances are you don't have a lot of control over the first two since the computation involved is too unwieldy, though some image generators can be 'finetuned' with additional training data.
'AI art' is like photography in that you typically generate a lot of images and select the ones that 'come out well'. like a photographer looking for a subject, you might search around for an interesting prompt. it's unlike photography in that you have very limited control over all those other parameters (at best you can try to verbally describe what you want and hope the AI understands, or ask it to generate similar pictures and hope one has the qualities you want).
'AI art' is like collage in that you are taking existing images and creating new meaning of of them, by generating a latent space and transformation algorithm that approximates them. it's unlike collage in that you have no real knowledge of what specific images may be 'most' informing the corner of latent space you're probing. you can look at an AI generated image and say 'this looks kinda like a Nihei manga' but it's not using a specific image of Nihei. still, there is something similar to the relationship between images in collage when you do things like 'style transfer'.
'AI art' can be like conceptual art or for that matter political cartoons in that often it's just providing illustration to a concept or joke that can be expressed in words. 'Shrek in the style of The Dark Crystal' or 'cats that spell "gay sex"' is what you're getting across. but 'AI art' as a subculture places very high concern on the specific aesthetic qualities, so it's not that simple.
briefly, sampling in music often tends to foreground that it's a sample, either one the audience may recognise - the Amen break for example - or just by being noticeably different from the texture of the rest of the piece. even when the sample isn't easily recognised, though, the art of sampling is to place it in a new context which brings out different sonic qualities, e.g. by playing it rapidly in succession, or heavily filtering and distorting it, overlaying it with other sounds, or playing it right before the drop. it's similar to collage and photobashing.
paintings then. AI art rather obsessively tries to imitate paintings, drawings, 3D graphics etc. some of its proponents even try to position it as obsoleting these art forms, rather than a new derivative art form. a lot of the fear from artists who work in those media is that, even if the AI generated images are a poor substitute for what we make, it will be 'good enough' to satisfy the people with the money, or discourage people from learning how to paint with all its nuances.
so, 'AI' may make results that look like a painting, but the process of making it is hugely different. rather than gradually constructing a picture and making decisions at each turn, you try out successive prompts to get a page full of finished pictures, and generate variations on those pictures, until you find one you like. it's most similar to the client who describes an image they want and then makes requests to tweak it. there is still creativity in this, because it's kind of replicating the back-and-forth between an artist and client/art director/critique-giver/etc. however, in this analogy, it's hampered by the limited communication between you and the 'artist'. and it's a different sort of input, so we respond to it differently.
generating and posting AI art could also be compared to the kind of thing we do on this website, where we curate images we like and share them. you're all looking at the outputs of the same image generator and pointing and saying 'ooh, that one's cool'. what's kinda troublesome in this analogy is that AI obfuscates all that stuff about credit and inspiration, collapsing it all into one mass. unless their name was used in the prompt, you can't tell if the 'AI' image is 'drawing heavily' on any particular artist. this isn't a new problem - firstly websites full of uncredited images abound, secondly any creative process is inspired by loads of things that we can't enumerate or hope to divulge, so the idea of tracing the paths of inspiration is perhaps a mirage anyway. still, for me (sakuga fan type of person!), knowing what i can about the specific people involved in creating artwork and how they went about it is important, and that's heavily blackboxed by 'AI'.
none of this would be helped by harsher copyright laws. it's great that people can create derivative works and respond to existing art. that is the scaffold that launches us somewhere new and hopefully interesting. simply putting someone's work into an image generator to create similar pictures is not a very interesting statement in its own right, and a lot of AI illustration produced at the moment has a weirdly glossy, overproduced feeling that is offputting and leaves nowhere for the eye to settle (when it isn't just mush), but that's not to say AI is never going to be able to be used to say anything interesting or become a meaningful art form in its own right.
'AI' is kinda like a bunch of things but not exactly like any of them. (this isn't to get into the economic questions at all, that would be a much longer post!). but since there are people very sincerely devoted to this being an art form... I want to know how to 'read' these works - what I'm looking for in there, what a meaningful comment would be. bc right now when I see an illustration and realise it's AI generated image it's like... a sense of disappointment because whatever I was picking up on isn't actually part of the 'statement' in the way i thought. so it's like oh... that's nice. the machine picked a cool perspective huh? all the things i would normally appreciate in an illustration are outside the artist's control, so responding to them feels irrelevant! so what is the right mode here? there's more to it than just the choice of subject. but I feel like I have more to say about even a picrew.

youtube
Okay, I'm a data nerd. But this is so interesting?!
She starts out by looking at whether YouTube intense promotion of short-form content is harming long-form content, and ends up looking at how AI models amplify cultural biases.
In one of her examples, Amazon had to stop using AI recruitment software because it was filtering out women. They had to tell it to stop removing resumes with the word "women's" in them.
But even after they did that, the software was filtering out tons of women by doing things like selecting for more "aggressive" language like "executed on" instead of, idk, "helped."
Which is exactly how humans act. In my experience, when people are trying to unlearn bias, the first thing they do is go, "okay, so when I see that someone was president of the women's hockey team or something, I tend to dismiss them, but they could be good! I should try to look at them, instead of immediately dismissing candidates who are women! That makes sense, I can do that!"
And then they don't realize that they can also look at identical resumes, one with a "man's" name and one with a "woman's" name, and come away being more impressed by the "man's" resume.
So then they start having HR remove the names from all resumes. But they don't extrapolate from all this and think about whether the interviewer might also be biased. They don't think about how many different ways you can describe the same exact tasks at the same exact job, and how some of them sound way better.
They don't think about how, the more marginalized someone is, the less access they have to information about what language to use. And the more likely they are to have been "trained," by the way people treat them, to minimize their own skills and achievements.
They don't think about why certain words sound polished to them, and whether that's actually reflecting how good the person using that language will be at their job.
In this How To Cook That video, she talks about the fact that they're training that type of software on, say, ten years of hiring data, and that inherently means it's going to learn the biases reflected in that data... and that what AI models do is EXAGGERATE what they've learned.
Her example is that if you do a Google image search for "doctor," 90% of them will be men, even though in real life only 63% are men.
This is all fascinating to me because this is why representation matters. This is such an extreme, obvious example of why representation matters. OUR brains look at everything around us and learn who the world says is good at what.
We learn what a construction worker looks like, what a general practitioner doctor looks like, what a pediatrician looks like, what a teacher looks like.
We look at the people in our lives and in the media we consume and the ambient media we live through. And we learn what people who matter in our particular society look like.
We learn what a believable, trustworthy person looks like. The kind of person who can be the faux-generic-human talking to you about or illustrating a product.
Unless we also actively learn that other kinds of people matter equally, are equally trustworthy and believable... we don't.
And that affects EVERYTHING.
Also, this seems very easy to undo -- for AI, at least.
Like, instead of giving it a dataset of all the pictures of doctors humans have put out there, they could find people who actively prefer diverse, interesting groups of examples. And give the dataset to a bunch of them, first, to produce something for AI to learn from.
Harvard has a whole slew of really good tests for bias, although I would love to see more. (Note: they say things like "gay - straight, " but it's not testing how you feel about straight people. It's testing whether you have negative associations about gay people, and it uses straight people as a kind of baseline.)
There must be a way for image-recognition AI software to take these tests and reveal how biased a given model is, so it can be tweaked.
A lot of people would probably object that you're biasing the model intentionally if you do that. But we know the models are biased. We know we all have cultural biases. (I mean. Most people know that, I think.)
Anyway, this is already known in the field. There are plenty of studies about the biases in different AI programs, and the biases humans have.
That means we're already choosing to bias models intentionally. Both by knowingly giving them our biases, and by knowing they'll make our biases even bigger. And we already know this has a negative impact on people's lives.
