Wearing Enhypen’s clothes
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Enha x implied fem reader, established relationship, 945 words (AGAIN), fluffff, jungwons is longer than everyone else’s😬
Tumblr media
Heeseung
He is the perpetrator.
Like as soon as you walk in the door he shoves his hoodie onto you
It’s not cute either— your arms get stuck and your hair is messed up and staticky everywhere
But as soon as it’s on he pulls the hood down and looks at you with such a lovesick look even though you look like a gremlin
Every time you stay over he makes you wear his clothes because he just thinks you look so cute
And since his shirts/hoodies are too big on you it makes it easier to sneak his hands up them to hold your bare waist which is his favorite way to cuddle 😔
Jay
At first you were just so impressed with his style that you wanted to be like him 🥺
He though it was so cute when you walked out in one of the outfits he had posted a picture in one day and been like “how do you manage to make this look good 😭”
“Well for starters, the clothes actually fit me” he laughs and ruffles your hair
He likes to get matching outfits so you don’t always have to steal much of his stuff since you probably have a match
But you always end up stealing his accessories
The amount of times he’s complimented your necklace only to realize it was his 😐
You’re lucky he loves you
Likes when you slide his rings onto your fingers while you’re playing with his hands 🥰
Jake
THE KING OF SHARING CLOTHES
He will give you anything that you want from his closet, no questions asked
He loves trying to sneakily add articles of his clothing to your outfits
Like “hey what if you added- I don’t know- a flannel around your waist? Actually look, I’ve already go one right here. Let me put it on you.”
He loves coming home and seeing you in his hoodies or flannels (especially when they’re so long it looks like you aren’t wearing pants 😭)
Refers to his new purchases as “our new jacket” or will text you and ask “do you like this?”
And when you tell him it’s a mens shirt so you wouldn’t wear it he goes “actually, it’s a jake shirt, which means it’s a yn shirt.”
Sunghoon
He’s one to act like he doesn’t like it
But one time when you told him you were cold and he said “sounds like a you problem” you threatened to go get one of the other boys’ hoodie and he got so pouty and mad 😭
Now he always brings an extra one of HIS hoodies whenever you hang out because he doesn’t want you to get it from someone else
Also the type to show up at your house, see your collection of his clothes and tease you about it but then not take them back
And if you EVER tell him you need another one bc the ones you have don’t smell like him anymore—
He’s gonna need three to four business days to recover from that
Sunoo
Another one to refer to his closet as “our closet”
He always asks you to wear his stuff
Like you text him to ask what you should wear for your date and he tells you to just wear anything over and he’d give you something of his to wear
Sharing sweaters 🥺
Like little grandpa sweaters that you thrift somewhere and you guys share them like it’s the sisterhood of the traveling pants or something and send each other little pictures of where you were wearing it
“Today I wore our sweater to the ice cream shop! The guy in front of me in line ordered mint choco and it made me think of you” 🫶
Jungwon
Listen, he’s seen the romcoms— you’ve made him watch enough of them during movie nights to know that people like wearing their boyfriends clothes
He just had no idea how to offer it
Does he just walk up to you one day and say “here, wear this”? Does he take you to the cold section of the grocery store until you shiver and then give it to you?
HE DOESNT KNOW!!!
But one day you two come home from one of your dates and decide to just chill in his bed
Which is cool, except you had dressed a little nicer for the date and your outfit wasn’t exactly made for comfort
“Hey won, do you think I could borrow something to change into? My outfit isn’t very comfy.”
He scolds you at first for not wearing something you’re comfortable in because he’s gonna think you look beautiful no matter what you wear, but eventually gives you a tshirt and pair of shorts to change into
Laughs because you look like Adam Sandler
“I thought this was going to be cute but you look really funny”
Riki
Listen, he loves napping
And napping on you is one of his favorite places
So when your stupid pretty shirt was scratching against his face, Riki was very upset
He lets out a big dramatic groan, grabbing one of his hoodies from the floor next to his bed and shoving it onto you so that he can sleep in peace
You’re still wearing it when he wakes up, and earlier he was too tired to be embarassed but now he realizes what he did and gets a little red
“Thanks for the hoodie ki,” you tease him, but still refuse to give it back when he asks
“Well if you hate it that much you can take it off.”
“Never!! This is mine now!”
Cue him chasing you around to try and get it back

Tim who’s a femme boy but not in a ‘skater skirt and thigh high socks’ kind of way.
No, he was raised by two people who value tradition and fashion, teaching him the ways of old money.
He watched his mother, who worked with woman who married into families and worse low cut dresses and diamond necklaces, hold the same power over men with only her wrist and head bare. He learnt that modesty was as equally powerful as nudity, that a woman could be devastating in any fabric if she out in the work.
Tim has always known he isn’t a woman, is comfortable being a man, but by all that’s natural does he not look at the way they dress and feel longing.
He’s twelve when he tries one of his mother’s dresses on for the first time.
It’s far too long, puddling at his feet, but he feels so beautiful in the mossy green fabric. The elbow length sleeves go to his wrist, but it still feels almost scandalous in a way that isn’t about the dress being on a boy.
He puts the dress away and begins to buy his own.
Naturally, he doesn’t risk his parents ire and keeps them hidden, but with them being gone so long it’s easy for him to spend some time by himself to dress up all he likes.
By the time he’s fourteen and has been around in for a while, he’s managed to go through a few different styles and find what truely feels like him.
He still wears his stupid science shirts and baggy hoodies over his formal dress shirts, it’s just that now he might add a simple long skirt instead of his dirty jeans. He won’t skate in a skirt, only because he doesn’t want to damage them and jeans are safer, but he also doesn’t leave the house in them for a while.
It’s not long after he’s recovered from Jason’s attack, his former idol still having trouble coming to terms with the lies he was told by the LOA, that he decides to see what Bruce thinks.
Ironically, it’s Jason that gave him the confidence.
Jason had made a comment when he was going on his rant to Tim about how Robin shouldn’t exist and he should get out, that he was warning the boy he should cut and run from Bruce. All he had said was that he was cutting his life short by being Robin and Tim felt that comment hit him harder than the bullet to his leg.
His time was short, most likely he would die before he got to marry or maybe even graduate (though he was considering dropping out anyway), so why hide?
Tim had been just about to get changed before he left to go see Bruce for a checkup on his mostly healed injuries when he caught his reflection and stopped.
The white shirt he wore was long sleeved and covered his neck, the buttons going up the front made of wood and shaped like hearts. His skirt, a dark brown flannel pattern prove that went just above his ankles, had a corset like fitting at the top that hugged his waist carefully. While he would prefer a more womanly figure, he wasn’t going to implement old Victorian body horror to get that.
Tim did go back to his room, but only to put on some simple heeled shoes of brown leather with a gold buckle on the side.
He put on a big shall over his shoulders, picking up his phone and putting on his headphones before he made the walk to Wayne Manor.
As usual, he didn’t need to knock as Alfred opened the door.
The man didn’t give any inkling as to surprise or shock at Tim’s outfit and simple said, “Glad to see you putting some effort into your appearance, Master Timothy.”
The snide comment made Tim relax greatly, quipping back about him being able to wear more than just jeans and t-shirts to the older man. The two talked normally and that made everything feel so much better than some grand speech on Tim accepted who he is.
Dick and Bruce are talking to each other in polite voices, both still a little awkward with each other even if they have gotten better, and both turn to great Tim as he enters the dining room for dinner.
Bruce looks shocked, showing he isn’t feeling too much like Batman at the moment, but he covers it up and says nothing and lets Dick speak.
Tim immediately feels stupid as Dick walks up to him with a big smile and opens arms, because Dick Grayson was raised in a circus! If anyone was going to accept ‘oddities’ in the family it would be him, “Timmy! Oh my little baby, you look so good! What’s the occasion? Oh! Do you have a date?”
His brothers teasing mg tone at the end makes him smile and shove him gently. “Not a date or anything else, I just… thought I’d wear something more my style out for once.”
Dick beamed, hearing the unspoken confession of trust and picking his brother up and spinning him around, “Oh, Timmyyyy! My baby, you look so beautiful! You can wear whatever you want, all the time, anywhere! I’ll will straight up eat anyone who has a problem, I swear I will do it, just say the word-“
Bruce finally talks just to cut Dick off, “Dick, no ‘eating’ anyone who hurts your bother. A lawsuit will surfice.”
Tim can’t help but beam at Bruce, knowing full well that those words are his weird way of showing his approval and acceptance. Him being more forward with it would have been nicer, but he was the most fluent in the language of Bruce Wayne outside of Alfred and so he was okay with it.
Dick went to whine, acting like a spoilt child while he secretly raged inside that he was being told not to commit a violent act. Honestly, Tim wasn’t sure if it was because it was in defence of his brother or because Dick was always secretly searching for something to get aggressive with.
Tim smiled happily, taking off his shawl and thanking Alfred when he swooped in to take it away for him.
As Tim sat at the table, he felt a peace build in his heart that he hadn’t felt… well, ever.

Chopin’s Wardrobe — What I Wore
Today I would like to share with you all the manner in which I dressed. It is interesting to see how fashions have changed over the course of 200 years. Some might say style has slipped… Anyway! Here are some details on my wardrobe:
My Suit
I liked to wear sober colours: black, mauve, blue… and especially grey. For instance, I once asked Julian Fontana to have made for me a pair of dark grey winter trousers, without a belt, which were smooth and stretchy.
Tumblr media
Grey trousers, 1840.
At a concert in Glasgow, a pupil recalled that I had worn a pale grey suit. Which included a frock-coat of identical tint and texture.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Left) Frock coat, 1840. (Right) Frock coat and trousers, 1852.
Under my suit, I would wear a modest waistcoat in a fabric such as a black velvet with a tiny inconspicuous pattern, something very quiet and elegant.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Left) Provençal waistcoat with mauve silk seedlings, 1860. (Centre) Waistcoat with floral pattern, 1838. (Right) Striped waistcoat, 1850-70.
My preferred shirts were ones made of cambric or batiste fabric. They had small mother-of-pearl buttons, two breast-pockets, and could be bought for 14 francs.
Tumblr media
For my cravat, I would wear muted colours during the day. Usually, I would tie it in a bow. However, when performing in a formal setting, I would wear a broad, white silk cravat.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Winter Clothes
To keep warm in the winter months, I wore a thick redingote or over-frock coat, as can be seen in this daguerreotype of myself from 1849.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Left) Wool coat, 1840. (Centre) Winter costume. Paul Gavarni, 1846. (Right) Frock coat. Wool, trimmed with silk velvet. 1820-1830.
At one point, my sickness rendered me so sensitive to the cold that I wore three flannels under my trousers.
Tumblr media
Underpants, mid-nineteenth century.
Accessories
Because I had small feet, I often found shoes uncomfortable. I mourned the day, Moos, my shoemaker died. No one made my shoes like him.
Tumblr media
1840s men’s shoes.
On my head, I would always have my hair curled, and, when outdoors, I would wear a top hat. I bought my hats from Dupont’s because he made them lightweight. They were originally made of beaver felt but, by my later life, they were made of silk plush.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Left) Top hat made of beaver felt, 1830s. (Right) Top hat made of silk plush, 1850.
My outfit was only complete with white gloves. Without them one would not be in good taste. Kid gloves were common, but I also liked wearing Swedish (suede) gloves. Always in white.
Tumblr media
Evening gloves. 1848.
A pocket handkerchief was also a necessity.
Tumblr media
Finally, I had a miniature pocket watch. According to one concert-goer, it was “In shape no bigger than an agate stone, on the forefinger of an alderman.”
Tumblr media
Where did I shop?
I bought my top hats from Dupont’s at No 8, rue de Montblanc (the previous name for rue de la Chaussée-d’Antin). I lived on this street myself, both at No 5 (1833-36) and No 38 (1836-38).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Left) 9, rue de la Chaussée-d’Antin, the fabric shop across the street from the milliners, 1840s. (Right) Rue de la Chaussée-d’Antin, 1858-1878.
My shirts came from No 37 in the Palais Royal galleries, on the theatre side.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Left) View of the Galerie d'Orléans in the Palais-Royal, 1838. (Right) Jardin du Palais Royal, 1840s.
The white suede gloves could be acquired from À la Corbeille de Fleurs, Houbigant’s shop at No 19, rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Left) The corner of rue du Faubourg-Saint-Honoré, 1820-1840. (Right) Faubourg Saint-Honoré, 1814-1885.
There were also many shops along the Grands Boulevards. This is where I got my trousers made by my tailor, Dautremont.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Left) Boulevard de la Madeleine, 1799. (Right) Boulevard des Capucines, 1830.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Boulevard des Italiens, 1840s (left), 1835 (right).
So…
As you can see, in spite my reputation for being picky and perhaps… prissy, with regard to fashion and furniture, I was far from what was called a dandy. My dress was never over-the-top and nor did I put on the airs that were so pertinent to dandyism. My desire, if anything, was to be refined and respectable. Although, perhaps my efforts to do so were occasionally cause for frenzy or distraction.

Hiiii! Random q - what do you think Joe’s style is outside of the war? I’m pretty sure we don’t see any of the men wearing civilian clothes in the show and a bitch is curious!!
Oh I love this question. Okay so, while I don't have a clear vision of what exactly his style is, I do have some idea of what would make sense (in my head!!!). While we don't see the men in civilian clothes, we do see (I think?) how their personal style seeps into how they wear their uniforms. SPECIALLY during episode 10 and arguably the last bit of episode 5.
That said, let me pull up visual references hold on.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Short-sleeve patterned summerish shirts and classic flannels (although he gives me somewhat tacky vibes so I feel like he'd go more for patterned shirts), often worn open with a white undershirt peeking through. Never buttoned all the way up like, at the very least the top buttons are undone, and probably if they're long sleeved, they're rolled up. High waisted pants ofc because it's the time but I feel like his would be a bit looser, either by choice or because he's skinny.
I also don't think his clothing style would change much through the seasons because, I might be wrong about this but doesn't San Francisco have more of a Mediterranean type of weather?you know, considering the Pacific's influence.
The hair is for sure always on point, definitely his best asset and he takes time with it, I don't think that's even up to question.
Anyway this was off the top of my head so if you have different thoughts let me know, I'm curious.

"Ain't Sayin" Fanart - Sam
Tumblr media
[Image Description: Sam Collins, as an unempowered human in college, is leaning on a bar table. He has a small shot glass in his hand. Sam has tanned skin, blond hair that is tied into a ponytail with front pieces hanging in front of his face. Sam has some stubble along the bottom of his jaw. The rest of his outfit consists of him wearing a stud earring, a black t-shirt and a red unbuttoned flannel with rolled up sleeves. The background is filled with dark pinks, purples and blues, as well as some glowy white lights that bring highlights to the picture. The bar is dark and crowded. In the top left is a box, that shows Sam's dialogue saying: "I ain't sayin' leave him here. . . Though it's not a bad idea. . . I just want you to have some fun tonight." He is glancing off to the right, with a serious and slightly annoyed expression, as he talks to Asher (Asher is not in frame.) /END image description.]
Tumblr media
I finally found time to draw out part of a scene in "Ain't Sayin'" by @thesolaireslawyer !! His "Ain't Sayin'" fic can be found HERE!
It's very cute and was part of Nivan's fluff week that he did!
Anyway, this is sorta how I imagine Sam (And I'm kinda trying to figure out a new art style since my usual cartoon one that I do is not really what I want a whole bunch anymore, so it's a work in progress. . . I also suck at drawing men, so like, having an obsession with Redacted Audio hopefully will help me draw men better in the long run).
I'm really proud of the hands because omg hands are always so hard! I also really like the background and the whole picture's vibe as well too.
So yeah, give it up for Mr. Sam Collins everybody!

Hi, just came here to ask because i'm bored and because you're my favorite creator of fan content of Slashfic, from the moment i got into Slashfic my mind has been thinking and thinking, and your headcanons has been bringing more ideas to my mind.
is like you're feeding my mind and my thoughts, but well, came here to ask you how do you think the slashers could dress if they weren't slashers? Like if it was an AU
(that's all, you can answer when you want, no rush. love your content ❤️)
thank you, so very much for this ask. i deeply appreciate that you like my works so much and that they add to personification of these men. you are so kind. 💕
as for the slashers and their style, walk with me will ya?
JAY
in an effort to not baby this man, i want him to dress casusal but he also likes kidcore.
PLEASE HEAR ME OUT, i promise im not babying him, his adoration for kidcore is more so reclaiming what he lost and his personality is just so sunshiny that it suits him perfectly
that being said, bright colors, stripes, kandi bracelets, overalls with pins, sweaters
he will wear a suit, especially if it's bright and even more so if mc compliments him... he looks like a smart boy in his outfit.
MIKE
fancy, rich boy. suits and versace.
though that's very much more so being in his parents house
like they'd make him dress presentably
now as for being on his own? i like to think he still kinda dresses posh but it's for special moments
otherwise it's pretty casual
imagine him having a rocker/biker phase though... like a pretty boy dressed up like a badass would be fascinating.
GHOST
eboy, 90s goth... depends on au and what ideas we're working with
ooo punk?! a punk ghost??? i really like him like that
like i love to imagine him as a mall goth.
the baggy pants with multiple pockets and a band tee with a sleeved undershirt
if any of my slashfic lovers have noticed, i oftenly compare him to damien because they're both alt boys just differing fonts
also i think he'd hate wearing a suit, like if he has to it's not even gonna look put together. like the tie is loose, shirt sticking out a bit, pants somehow loose.
LEATHER
please hear me out. simple.
this man does not get dressed up unless it's a special occasion and even then it's a simple dress shirt and slacks, as if he's going to church
i feel like if you were to describe his style? it's dad. like plain shirts and pants
he's a working man after all.
but also, he's a farmer so ofc overalls, flannels, boots
country man so i love imagining him as a cowboy with cowboy boots tbh

I have two questions about the utdm gang, mostly just for fun. How would they dress in the modern age and what would their ideal day off look like?
Marius:
Dresses very well (when he can afford it...), clothes are always clean and hair always done even if his apartment is shit lol. In modern times he'd stand out bc he'd wear "old fashioned" 1920s dandy styles, or clothes "meant for women" like crop tops and cute shorts, and bright colors.
Ideal day off in both modern and 20's is going out to eat and dance with friends. You could convince him to stay in, but he'd still want to do something engaging and invite lots of people over. It's actually nice when he gets a boyfriend bc then hes out on dates all the time instead of bugging the far more introverted Jack and Eveline.
Jack:
Already has no sense of fashion lmao,,, doesnt change much in modern times. Jeans, work boots and a tanktop. Maybe a button down or flannel if he's gotta look nice. Denim overalls if he's gotta work, a baseball cap he got for free at a feed store to keep the sun outta his eyes. Owns more work clothes than "regular" clothes for sure, and knows how to mend them.
A day off where you actually got Jack to relax: walking in a nice nature reserve or forest with no people, or a friend or two. Maybe some fishin', and grilling said fish in the evening with some friends over a fire. Going to sleep actually at peace and content with himself. God bless.
Lottie:
Wears whatever's on trend at the time, albeit with her own spin. She can look good in basically anything, would def be one of those fashion insta girlies. An ideal day off would be a nice spa day followed by shopping or a night out with her best friends. They could be doing anything - restaurant, dancing, a horror movie marathon.
Eveline:
Likes thrifting (and antiqueing in general), and prefers to alter and sew her own clothes. She's very opinionated against fast fashion haha. She'd be the one buying handmade jewelry at festivals. An ideal day off would be some restful fucking sleep with no one interrupting her enjoying a quiet morning at a cafe, browsing an antique shop or little bookstore, and going home to cook something while listening to a podcast/radioshow. Marius can come over and bring his friends if they do the dishes afterward lol.
Little Lottie:
Buying clothing for LL is an Endeavor (tm) bc of her sensory sensitivities and the fact like, trying on clothes in Walmart or Old Navy would be an awful experience for her. Also, when she likes an outfit, she doesn't want to wear anything else. So when they find a favorite thing, Lottie buys like three or five of them in increasingly larger sizes so LL can still have that specific shirt or dress when she gets bigger. She'll wear her halloween costume for months if she loves it.
Little Lottie's ideal "day off" in modern is much the same as it would be in canon; she wants a warm, secure home with no sudden noises or women shouting or strange men coming and going. She'd want to have space to lay out her legos and books and stuffed animals, and not be bothered or interrupted, but not alone - she wants to look up and see Lottie or MC close by in case she needs them. And when she's done playing she wants to go to their side for a snack and juice and be read to.
(Playing outside would be fun too, but parks and zoos are overwhelming and have lots of people - so a big backyard with a sandbox would be like, perfect)
Slyvester:
Still dresses like he's in the 50's; he is not that old in the modern times, he's just stuffy and overly fastidious. At least he doesn't wear a hat and jacket all the time. Supposedly, there's photo evidence of him in a hawaiian shirt and sandals with socks in the myriads of family photo albums his wife keeps.
As for a day off - lord this man needs it - he has a list of places his wife Viviana wants to go, anywhere from museum exhibits to weird performative art installments to a tiny hole in the wall Greek place she heard about 4 years ago to the local Renfaire. In modern times it'd be much easier for her to get about with a wheelchair, so they can go out more. They're more restricted in the 1920s, but they try to make it work whenever Slyvester's off for a few days. Alas, big shocker, Flynn doesn't allow many of those.
Lightning bonus round Malwina is a normal happy teenager who likes going to ☆spooky☆ dead malls and doing tiktok dances with her friends and little sisters. Máire never left Ireland, is the reluctant mom-friend to her coworkers at the lesbian bar, and is v active in the Dublin punk & queer community. And is properly divorced LOL.

Please say more about Titans’ costumes 🥺
(if you want to)
I literally always want to talk about Titans. Always
There is so much I could say about the costuming alone omg
One thing I absolutely fucking love about the show - specifically about S1 and S2 (and kind of into S3?) - is that each character really has their own distinct style. Each character is so, so well defined by their visual style and it helps add so much to their characterization just by looking at their clothing.
Even side characters like Hank and Dawn (and fuck, I love Hank and Dawn so much) - Dawn's clothing has so much feminine elegance.
I fucking love that Dawn is a character who absolutely reeks femininity without going down the route of styling her in the typical feminine way - and I am not at all bashing traditional femininity when I say this, I just fucking love how Dawn is an example of how femininity can be so obvious without having to use girly pinkness and bows and skirts. She is so clearly meant to be a hyper feminine girly character who loves her femininity, especially with the styling of the apartment that she shares with Hank, but her clothing really drives it home. Even before it's revealed that she was a feminine, light, ballet dancer, you can see it in what she wears - a flawless light blouse, clothes that are so perfectly tailored, light fabrics, everything so well fitted. Wearing heels that are of practical lengths but still making it a point to be flattering and elevated, wearing done-up hairstyles and having her hair brushed over one shoulder in a very princess way.
And I love how all of her clothing falls under the light grey/taupe/steel grey/steel blue palette of the Dove costume and they don't stray from that with her. The only time they do is when they are hinting at her wearing Hank's clothing - like when she wears the heavily oversized black and red letter jacket in 2x02 (that I think Hank was wearing in his college flashback? I think that jacket was literally his college football jacket if my memory serves me correctly)
Speaking of Hank - again, I love how he has his own colour pallet. They often stick to the brick reds, the warmer tones with him - they make his colours very warm and inviting even if his personality isn't always the most warm. But what I fucking love about his clothing is that right from his introduction - his clothing feels grounded. His clothing always feels very working class. He is almost always seen wearing jeans and some kind of flannel, the timerland 'worker' boots, a heavier practical jacket.
I fucking love how he and Dick contrast the two ends of men's low effort, 'casual' clothing. Dick is also seen wearing jeans throughout the show, but Dick's clothing is not at all working class or approachable - even if it's just small touches, like the expensive watch that he's almost always wearing, Dick's clothing is expensive. His jacket's are more tailored (and clearly made out of more expensive materials), he wears button up shirts that are made out of more expensive cotton - and rather than being casual flannels, he wears darker, more serious colours - his shoes are often more expensive and clearly not mean to be 'worked' in.
You can look at Dick and Hank and immediately recognise the wealth gap - the fact that Dick is comfortable with wealth, and Hank is comfortable with the working class and grew up in poverty.
Going back to the colour thing - something I LOOOOOOVE about S1 specifically is the fact that you can clearly see them borrowing each other's clothes. You can see the abrupt disruption in Rachel's black uniform because of the introduction of Dawn's soft grey sweater. Gar's lighter colours are broken up by the introduction of Dick's uniform-like militant grey. Toward the end of the season, Kory's colourful bright wardrobe is broken up by her borrowing Donna's effective purposeful black catsuit - and again, this goes back to my theory about Kory regain her memories but losing her identity, and how she leaned on Donna a lot during this time, and her wearing Donna's clothing immediately after entering this identity crisis to me feels like her using Donna as a safety net when she was in emotional turmoil.
Speaking of Dick's militant colours - in S1, DICK HAS AN OBSESSION WITH UNIFORMS. I was going to make a separate post about this but I accidentally deleted the draft lmao. He goes from wearing his detective uniform to wearing an outfit that is almost military-esque (the grey henley style shirt and the cargo pants) - an outfit that is clearly meant to be practical rather than express any personal style, but it inadvertently expresses a heap of emotions from him: he feels like he does not have an identity outside of who he was with Bruce.
When he talks about his time with Bruce to Kory, Gar, and Rachel - he calls it 'military training'. And it's clear that's what he thinks of it now - not a family, not a father figure - he thinks that he was being trained as a weapon, and now that his training is over, he doesn't know what to do with himself. So he puts on his uniform to go into work and be a detective, and when he's not doing that, he wears a uniform because he doesn't have a sense of self otherwise.
BUT in S2, when he feels more comfortable returning home to Bruce (after he's confronted his demons through the Trigon hallucinations), he is wearing a very nice outfit that is more representative of wealth. Likely something that Bruce would have dressed him in - and this is the kind of clothing we see him wearing for the rest of the show that seems a lot more indicative of his personal style through the rest of the show. As if he was previously afraid to gravitate toward this kind of style because he was afraid that he was becoming too much like Bruce, he was enjoying the wealth too much - that Bruce was never a true father to him because he 'paid' for Dick's affection (as we see in the flashback with the closet full of expensive clothing that is waiting for Dick when he arrives).
It's a very interesting thing to breakdown.
Anyway, that's all my brain has for now lmao. But I always loooooove talking about Titans and analysing it. Not just the costumes but any aspect of the whole show. This show is like - my house

i’m a bit behind on the timewarp au, so i’m sorry if someone’s already asked this! buuttt… how did everyones sense of fashion change in modern day?
me, sitting here in my decade's old hoodie and pikachu pajama shorts: yes, fashion
Hosea is a v subservient husband who wears anything his wife gets him. Sometimes he's the high fashion old man with the tailors pants and crisp shirt under a blazer. Sometimes it's the rattiest home-made sweater with dropped stitches that somehow matches his $4 slippers and he just looks even older than he is but so snug.
Arthur wears nothing but jeans and t-shirts with the occasional jacket unless someone else picks out clothes for him. He still wears cowboy boots.
Sean and Lenny are all walmart/shein/temu horrid patterns cheap clothing boys. The closest Sean gets to fashion is his pizza delivery uniform. Lenny learns a little bit about fashion by googling 'college outfits for men'.
Charles lives in heavy-duty trade jeans and plaid flannels. Flannel shirt. Too cold for flannel shirt? Black shirt under flannel jacket. Carries high-vis in his truck. Lumberjack core.
Kieran exclusively wears hoodies. Admittedly some are 'nice' hoodies but then comes the impossible challenge of finding pants he will willing wear. He needs to be warned if he's expected to leave the house 2 days in advance to do washing.
Javier lives for the concept of fashion and just looks like an instagram model at all times. Just a diva. It isn't until he shows up and corrects the 1899's gang sense of fashion they actually look decent.
John and Jack both fall in love with emo. Leather jackets, black jeans, chokers. Abigail spends so much on anti-fade laundry detergent.
Abigail and Karen end up with very similar fashion styles. The occasional summer dress but mostly pants, nice shirts - functional clothes for chasing around their demonic little girls. Abigail is a cardigan queen.
Grimshaw would burn her dresses if she could. She discovered the luxury of pants and never looked back. Still rocks a corset though. Anyone brave enough to catcall her is getting tased, pepper-sprayed or shot depending on her mood.
When Dutch isn't in the hospital he still wears basically just his canon era vests, buttoned shirts and fitted pants - in the hospital it's psych-ward issues jammies for him.
Molly looks like a cottage-core queen and has the rolling to pack it up.

So, we talk about fashion a lot for the girls and the Scroogeverse. So I’m curious if you have any hcs for pajamas/lingerie.
Do you see any of your girls having preferences? Do any of the guys have preferences (for their ladies or themselves)?
Ooh, good question! Slightly NSFW content?
Wolf:
No throwing on a random pair of boxer shorts and T-shirt for him; this man likes actual pajama sets. Two piece sets, long-johns, nightgowns, he's not particular of the style, so long as it's comfy. Flannel, cotton, linen, he's not the biggest fan of satin or silk to sleep in. On himself anyway--he loves it on his lady. (Who could blame him? Bess stuns in it.)
He sleeps commando under his bottoms.
He used to always have a top on in bed because he likes to be cozy. (Despite how well he seems to ignore it, the man isn't a fan of the cold.) But now, with the human heat pump that is Bess cuddled beside him, he's more apt to forgo a shirt, especially since the pair thrive on skin-to-skin contact.
Bed socks are very much a thing for this man.
He does have some spicy undies to wear for Bess.
Some see-through things.
A banana hammock or two.
Maybe some jock-straps and a thong.
Bess isn't the biggest fan of such cuts on men, but Wolf pulls them off quite well with his cute little ass cheeks and fine endowment. And they're only worn on occasion, which naturally makes them exciting.
Her favorite is a particular little piece that cups the jewels but leaves everything else bare and free to admire and play with.😏
Bess:
Unlike her hubby, girl will make PJs out of anything comfy. She actually doesn't really have pj sets, except for some holiday themed ones.
She does have a bit of a thing for nightgowns; they make her feel like princess. So she owns several of those.
Winters, she will dress a little more warmly for bed, but summers, she's perfectly comfy in a tank top and knickers. Sometimes not even a tank top, much to her man's pleasure.
She has a penchant for grabbing a pair of Wolf's briefs or a shirt of his and hopping into bed just in that.
She does have some cute pajama pants in her collection, but most of those are worn more as sweats than they are worn to bed. She'd end up kicking them off through the night usually anyway.
It goes without saying, Bess has a bigger lingerie collection than Wolf does: After all, lingerie just fits the female figure better.
Of course, these are not ever for sleeping in, they're for fun, sexy times. She ends up getting stripped completely of them in the end and falling asleep naked anyway.
Girl has a little bit of everything in her collection except latex. She's not a fan of the aesthetic. And, more to the point, Wolf actually has a mild allergy to it.
That's okay, though, they make up for the lack of latex with some hot leather pieces.🥵
I don't have a whole lot of ideas for everyone else, yet, but I will say, the Cratchits have His and Hers pj's. And the Huffams have an entire collection of couple onesies.

TRANS MALE PASSING PROTIPS
Targeted specifically at trans men who have not begun medical transition, but for anyone. Of course, this is just what works for me and everyone is different.
Shorts that fall mid thigh and are baggy can work really well to make a more masculine figure. This is a trendy style with cis men, and if they are looser on your thighs you can look more rectangular. Basketball shorts are always fine, but for bigger people can end up sticking to your thighs and making you look like a masc lesbian. Looking like a masc lesbian is so so common guys this is what we are trying to avoid. See here for reference
Tumblr media Tumblr media
2. WALK WITH YOUR SHOULDERS. Walk like your shoulders are the widest part of your body. Move them kinda forward and backward. Watch a video of a man walking next to a woman for context on what I mean. Women walk with their hips, and it makes all the difference for you in someone's head. Practice in the mirror before doing it so you don't look like a fool.
3. Hair!!!! I know you guys don't want to let go of the 2020 fluffy boi haircut and that is ok. If you don't want a skin fade short haircut, there are other options. Also, if you belong to a subculture, like punk/emo/whatever else there is, look at male styles as it can be very different than what is normally accepted ( for example, men have long hair in metal subculture, you can style it like them). In general, hair is very meticulous, as for some people too short is masc lesbian and too long is woman.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This kind of hair can do wonders. For men of color/curly hair people, if you are not out locs are a very good option as they are typically read as masculine but are gender neutral. Afros, braids, even skin fades with a lot of hair at the top can read feminine. Another style option could be short cornrows that end at the neck, twists, or a fade with less hair at the top like this.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I am not black, so I cannot speak for how this would be read in a black community, but this is how, from my experience, I would view the hairstyles. Sorry if this is not appropriate. Also, I am not here to tell you not to dye your hair. It can work if you style it with masculine clothes and are dressed in a specific style like emo or scene or something. Do what you will with that.
4. If there is ANY peach fuzz on your face, make the most of it. I know I have high testosterone levels naturally, so I grow facial hair a little, but if there is enough to dye it, dye it. If there is like barely any, if its not visible in the mirror if you're really looking (not INSPECTING), it's probably not worth it, and that is fine. use your judgement, and if it is not enough, just shave it. It's better to look clean shaven than desperate for face hair. Eyebrows, mustache hair, sideburns can all be darkened with eyeshadow, brow brushes, and just for men beard dye.
5. LAYERS. I know you guys have seen this one before. Flannels, button ups over black t-shirts, zip up hoodies. It might get a little hot, but it covers your sweat stains anyways. I promise guys it helps so much with shoulders, hips, boobs, it makes you look more masculine. Don't get that ugly ass red and black checkered one though. Think if you would see a masc lesbian wearing it and use your best judgement. I heart layers.
6. Pants. Woah. Pants. I HATE pants I know you fat trans men get me. Old navy women's jeans...and you guys won't like this one...are actually pretty good. SPECIFICALLY the sky high wide leg ones. Get those a size up and cuff them, wear them low on your waist, perfect. Other than that, jeans are shit. I don't really waste my time with men's pants anymore because of my hips but cargos are great, baggy sweats with the band at the bottom are great, PJ pants good, dress pants are a struggle but I've heard dickies work well for people with a smaller body. Not sure though. My tactic is I go to a thrift store for hours and try on all their pants, then find similar ones online or take pictures of the brand for the ones I like and find more.
7. Accessories and jewelry. Iffy. Anything you could describe as dainty, if it's not a family thing or important to you, probably not. Friendship bracelets are good, pendants are good, earrings depends on where you are and what you are wearing. Studs in men are common where I am, so I wear them. Observe the cis men at your disposal. Accessories, bags don't really matter unless they're like the strawberry hot topic mini bags. Don't get those at all those are fugly. Mini bags are not great in general, just better to get something else. Watches are heavily loved here they look very male and also you have the time always even a cheap watch is fine just not a woman's watch. It has to be a men's watch. You can tell when it is a woman's watch don't get those. Nail polish is fine no one cares, it's more popular now with boys. Especially if you're a little girly pop already. Of course that also depends on your environment.
8. Stance. Sitting with your ankle on your knee is comfortable and way more masculine than crossing your legs. Confidence. Fake it until you make it because cis men are so arrogant guys. This is what I mean btw
Tumblr media
9. Don't be afraid of being feminine. Don't give up being yourself in order to be masculine. Your happiness matters the most. Love you bye, I'll update this if I think of anything else.

How do you imagine the Cullens and Bella dressing like in your book?
similar style but slight adjustments.
Bella probably goes through the biggest change. she starts off In the Afterlight wearing jeans, band tees, chunky sweaters, & very eclectic pieces (bowling shirt ABSOLUTELY exists). in Come Nightfall she changes - she 1) won't wear anything she stole from Edward (i.e. sweaters and flannels), 2) does so much activity outdoors she's wearing exclusively athletic wear, and 3) is forced to hide her scent later on so objectively dresses WORSE with stained, mismatched thrift-store clothes. doesn't own a khaki skirt. in By Starlight, now that Edward's home, she's back to athletic wear. Edward likes this very, very much.
Edward has the same style with more color. NO sleeveless white button-up because what the FUCK. when he's hunting, he's a jeans and flannel shirt kinda guy - he'll often wear clothes he hates when hunting. (ofc, now that Bella wears his flannel shirts, he's rethinking his tastes.) otherwise, day-to-day, he's a loose slacks, undershirt, & suspenders kinda guy (think 1950s or 20s). nice button-ups and dark fitted sweaters in deep, dark colors like navy, burgundy, phthalo green. extremely lame in a cute way. light spoilers for future chaps, but this man is literally always trying to hide his body.
i picture the Cullens dressing mostly in timeless outfits and styles.
Esme adores dresses and skirts à la Audrey Hepburn. classic, chic, evergreen. she would wear neutrals the most day-to-day but adores flowing prints and polka dots when she feels in the mood :) definitely wears ratty skirts or jeans when gardening.
Rosalie's casual/business casual style has some Princess Di influences with some modern trends mixed in (thanks to Alice). keeps some greasy old jeans and overalls for her mechanic work.
Carlisle really misses wearing embroidered brocaded waistcoats & frilly shirts. thinks modern men's fashion is boring. slacks and button-ups for this man. CARDIGANS ALL DAY. misses wearing ascots, but likes scarves. god, he hates modern men's fashion.
Jasper actually loved his 90s grunge/punk era and never really left it. army boots/doc martins (with the coded laces OFC), ripped jeans, plaid shirts, band tees, beanies, leather jackets with handsewn patches.
Emmett is jeans and tees all day. James Dean kinda guy with the boots, slacks/jeans, nice white tee, bomber jacket.
Alice is a freak. she's following every trend. she says it's to keep the Cullens in the modern world (true - to their dismay, she WILL go through their closets and add/subtract items). but really, it's her way to stay connected to the present day. she has ofc rare commissioned pieces from different designers, beautiful pieces from eras long gone that she can't bear to part with (because ofc everything comes back in style), weird pieces from niche trends... but she absolutely DOES dress like she's straight from a 2000s-era issue of Seventeen. for better or worse.

Wearing gender non-conforming clothing isn't a revolutionary idea the wider societies of first-world countries are forbidding you from doing
Tumblr media
Did I miss the memo that we're living in the 50s again? We're not. Guys, wearing gender-nonconforming clothing, mostly for females, isn't anything innovative. Women wearing clothing styles traditionally specified for men isn't anything innovative.
Clothes don't have a gender. Fashions don't either. We don't live, in the wider society of the first-world countries, in a time when society seriously pressures people to not wear what you want. In fact, this is the most free we have ever been and somehow the progressives think a female going out in a flannel shirt and backward cap needs to be noted? It sounds to me like a you problem, not a society problem. While society can still continue to grow even better to be ok with gender nonconformity as a whole (we still have to be ok with men in traditional womens clothes the same we are with women in mens). Almost all people you'll come across would never tell a female she shouldn't be wearing a flannel shirt... especially since you've been able to find flannel shirts in women's sections for decades.
Clothing is typically a way to tell the world who you are or to simply wear what makes you feel happy which will, in turn, reflect in what you wear. It shouldn't be a mask.
It seems you allow others to tell you how to live your life or you at least perceive that people are telling you how to live your life. They aren't. Wearing a flannel shirt as a female isn't a special accomplishment and it's kind of sad you think it is merely because you've gotten into a state of mind which has made you believe that you're in a place where you will suffer some horrific consequence if you "wear the wrong thing". This isn't women in Iran...
Let me tell you, as an alternative fashion-wearer since 2000 when I was in elementary school, nothing truly bad has ever happened to me for wearing interesting clothing. Unless you believe that people thinking you look weird is a really terrible thing... in which case, you need to stop giving a fuck or find PRIDE in looking different because it's FUN. More than likely, nothing awful will happen to you. I hate to say it, but that's some really pitiful ideas to have about clothing if you feel like something terrible will happen to you.
What you wear isn't your identity. What you wear should *reflect* what your identity is.
This is why it's not an accomplishment to wear a flannel when you've usually worn dresses your whole life because you felt it was impressed upon you to do so by society. It would be like telling people "Wow, I finally got a red car because I've "always suppressed" being able to get a red car". Most people wouldn't think this was such a serious thing to announce as if it were a part of their identity because a red car may be an expression of the kind of person they are, the accomplishment should lie with the person being themselves in a more nebulous sense than merely "buying a red car". The car isn't the identity.
No one can tell you what to wear or how to dress. Well, they can "tell you", but they can't "make you". Also, just own what you wear. Don't celebrate it, don't make it a big deal. Do it because you want to and it makes you feel happy authentically. You being you without any pretense or labels. Your clothes aren't your identity.
Just stop giving a fuck...

Day 4 of @radiomogai 's Experiences Event!
How do you express your identity through your behavior and clothing? How does this relate to your identity? If you don't currently, would you like to in the future?
I feel less as if I purposefully express my identity through my behavior and clothing, and more that my behavior and clothing is an extension of myself, especially now as I grow older. When I was younger, I was very purposeful with that I would wear - as I grew up and was able to wear what I wanted, it took me some time to figure out exactly how I wanted to present. When I look back on how I used to present, I find that I was "trying too hard" - that I was trying to "look visibly queer" instead of just dressing how I wanted and letting my queer identity shine through my own preferred aesthetic choices.
Now that I'm more comfortable when it comes to styling outfits, and I feel more stable in my own style, these are some styles and other clothing items I find myself drawn to:
I keep my hair long, unstyled (no layers, styling products, or curling/straightening) and undyed. I've always loved my long hair, even if it's not typical for butch or masc presenting individuals. My inspiration for my hair has always been Edward Elric and MCU's Thor.
When I'm going out and have the energy, I like to wear makeup. Depending on what I'm wearing, sometimes I like to do a full glam face with glitter eyeshadow and everything - or just even out my skin tone, fill out my eyebrows, and use contour to give myself a more masculine face shape. This helps with my gender fluctuation.
I absolutely love flannels and button-down shirts. I recently cleaned out my dad's closet and he gave me around 7 new shirts that I absolutely love. Kind of a stereotypical butch thing, but I do love it.
I also really love wearing denim - I have both a jean jacket (also my dad's) as well as a few different pairs of ripped jeans that I wear often. I used to go for more of a "mom jean" or straight leg, but I've been enjoying the baggy leg/bootcut resurgence lately.
You will not catch me outside of the house without my docs. I really do need to change to solovair because I'm not sure if my cobbler will be able to repair my current set of shoes, but I really love how versatile and comfortable they are.
My purse - or bag, since it's technically from the men's section - is an army green large men's satchel. It's made of canvas, can fit sooo much stuff, and easy to decorate with enamel pins and keychains. I went through a phase where I didn't use a bag, but now I'm getting back into using one and decorating it.
As you can probably tell by my style so far, some of my style inspiration comes from Dean Winchester, Hugh Jackman's Wolverine, and generally late 90s and early 2000s casual menswear.
I have also been branching out into skirts recently! I used to avoid skirts, because most of the options that were popular at the time were shirt skater and mini skirts. Now, I have two long goth-style maxi skirts that I really enjoy. I feel like especially with oversized sweaters or t shirts, they read more as androgynous instead of feminine, and they're incredibly comfortable.
I love jewelry as well - a lot of my pieces are heirloom, and I feel like that in particular is a way for me to feel connected to some of my family members that have passed on. I like to wear multiple necklaces, almost always including a chunky link chain, which feels more masculine. Most of my rings are also large, including my grandfather's signet ring.
A few other style notes - I have a lot of mustard yellow in my closet, mostly because of my connection with the reverse flash! I also have a good amount of jewelry - especially earrings - that are lightning bolts, because of my affinity with them.
As for behaviors - I just behave like myself. I don't behave necessarily the way I want to - I know I don't read as effortlessly cool and masculine or anything, but I think that forcing those behaviors would be a betrayal to myself, at this point. I'm not effortlessly cool - but there are some things that I naturally do that help to fill that void. For example - I have very good reflexes when it comes to throwing and catching things, even years after I've played baseball. I've caught more than a couple things that would have smacked my friends in the face, and I've made some throws in casual situations that looked really cool. I also really like how quick-witted I can be while joking around. These aren't behaviors I cultivated on purpose, but they do make me feel good about myself and by identity as a whole.
And finally, things I would want to change or implement - I really need a new binder (or sports bra). I've been putting it off because my old one was really good, but I think I just need to get a new one, which sucks. I like to be able to bind or not bind depending on my outfit and mood, (I like to ask myself "do boobs go with this outfit?") and while it hasn't bothered me yet, I know it will in the future if I don't get a new one. Ugh. More things I have to spend money on.
