I keep thinking about Lewis' review of The Hobbit, because he claimed that the main thing contemporary reviewers compared it to was Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Was fantasy in that poor of a state that Alice was the closest thing they could think of? Comparing that chaotic fever dream to Tolkien's intricately crafted world? Lewis does specify that the comparison is that both books are by an "Oxford professor at play", but they're otherwise so different that putting the two in the same category baffles me.

After Oh is split into two, their power is halved/divided. But! Other traits are not necessarily divided evenly. So she holds all the romantic love (unrequited) for Ymber. She also has the rhythm/ability to dance while the other half cannot keep a beat for the life of him.

Given today's news, I feel like I should put this out there:

"Liam Payne was one of/my favorite member in One Direction and was a big part of my childhood, so a part of me is sad that he's gone and I'm sad that he passed the way he did"

and

"Liam Payne did a lot of terrible things that hurt a lot of people and as sad as his sudden death is, it doesn't absolve him of his actions for me"

are two ideas that can and should mutually coexist with each other.

Liam did awful things and ended up hurting people with his actions, but I know he was also a part of a lot of people's childhoods when it came to music and boy groups and was a favorite member to people (me included) and was considered a safe place for others. So it's completely understandable to have mixed emotions or even just genuine sadness at him dying so tragically.

So please, don't feel guilty for having mixed feelings about this. Just feel how you feel and take care of yourselves.

Feeling very unwell realizing how exactly my relationship with M is like one between a parent and a child that’s complex and contrasting. You made me food for lunch and taught me many things yet you don’t fully take in my gifts of food and give me opportunities to talk to you more about my hobbies and interests. You make me feel proud of my accomplishments but you also make me see my limits that you can not understand. You drove me to work today in only a single minute away from when I was before you stopped me but you can’t often bother to take even a second to say hello or bye to me first. You give me health based advices because you care for my wellbeing although you’ll laugh or make a self-conscious reducing comment about certain aspects of my appearance like my eye that had a surgery or the dried skin on my neck. I wish you weren’t overly playful with and concerned of me all of the time but I know I’d terribly miss you being that way to me because it shows you do care about me a lot in your own ways that I can be too emotional and sensitive of handling at times.

Man, seeing all the valentines day decorations in stores n shit is just reminding me how much I fucking Hate valentines day

No that's totally fair! Putting this under the cut

Honestly it's mainly that he's relatable! I tend to eat up gaynst if done well, and the overall production of how it was done in Cat (and his T2 voice trial, QnA posts) was fun. I also like that the gaynst happening was with an older man but not tied to romance. The overall bait-and-switch of "you thought he was just some random cheater well Guess What he NEVER cheated he only LONGED TO and she fell/killed herself because he was GAY and CAME OUT TO HER." was so fucking funny at the time too. (I can't remember rn if the accident theory was disproven) Cat is also one of my favorite Milgram songs, I had it on repeat for a long time (while I never listened to Half lol). I really hoped the innocent/forgiven verdict would have dialed up the resentful energy in that song (the eating of the dove bit at the end) and made him realize nothing is wrong with him but sigh of course not, it's obvious in the way Yuno is treated that Milgram is written with conservative Japanese sensibilities in mind. I'm not sure what they're going to do with him now, the self-hating energy is frustrating but not surprising. Hoping he doesn't get assigned a ballad. A decent portion of my love of him was also out of spite, since it was incredibly frustrating to see how people talked about him (even in the English fandom). I hope he got to be loved like a cat before he was summoned to Milgram, otherwise #rip. FWIW I would still completely support him if he was straight, then he'd be more of a Sylvain Gautier character lol. It never made sense to me that he was in Milgram (same with Yuno) so it made me feel strongly about him even if he's a flat character overall.

I am aware that could be considered shallow but the premise of Milgram is pretty shallow anyway. There is no way to ethically judge any of the characters without knowing what the final consequences of doing so are, which could be anything as far as we know such as suffering eternally (ex sending them to hell), head exploding (what happens to them in the novelization iirc), or not reincarnating and getting their soul destroyed/sent to the void (plot of the anime Death Parade which I am leaning towards the most as what they'll go for since it's implied everyone is already dead). I mean maybe some people would want that but I don't really think any of the characters deserve those fates since it's absurdly disproportionate... I would elaborate more if it didn't compel me to write thousands of words 😭 my ideal personal outcome was/is everyone getting forgiven
