I would laugh so hard if in S4 Klaus makes fun of Diego for not being able to spin a knife around in his hands anymore
Klaus: Wait, so the whole time we were learning to handle knives you were just using your power??
Diego: đ
Klaus: Hahah that means even Im now better with knives than you

Five Hargreeves x Fem!Reader Synopsis: You and Five return after seven years away in a different timeline- but you donât return alone Word Count: 1.8k Tags: Fluff, No Lila and Five, Pregnancy, Children, Season 4 fix it (kinda) Note: Got so much love on the last one I wrote this! Try to ignore spelling mistakes it's currently 3am.
Stuck with only your irritable CIA colleague Five Hargreeves was anything but a good time. You both got lost at the godforsaken subway station he mistakenly teleported you both to. Travelling for a year by his side certainly mellowed you out. His personality slowly making you feel comforted as you both explored multiple timelines together trying to find your way home.
Surprisingly, the idea he possessed powers was the easiest thing for you to come to terms with, probably due to your job at the CIA making it seem plausible to you that the government does hide a lot- theyâre even hiding the whole science of separate timelines. After around a year of trying and failing to find your way home, you and Five decided to ease off the vigorous schedule you unwittingly created, finding a timeline safe enough to stay in for a while allowing you both to rest and brainstorm ideas of how you could both find a way home to your families.Â
You both made a mistake. Falling to know how long a while would be you find yourselves still in the timeline you chose as your âtemporaryâ home six years later. Finding each other a lot less frustrating than at the start of this. You suppose thatâs an understatement as you watched Five play with your child, a girl who possessed brown hair and green eyes not too dissimilar to her fatherâs. It almost wasnât fair how much her features favoured his. But, seeing his beauty reflected upon her features could never be something you would complain about.Â
âMaybe if we get lucky the next one will resemble you more,â you remember his words from a few days earlier when you started to show a hand placed under your abdomen smiling as if this was the greatest gift he could ever receive. But you donât think it would matter if this one ended up looking like their older sibling and their father. If anything you would prefer it- not that you would ever admit it.
Picking another fresh strawberry from the greenhouse of the abandoned home you now called your own. You placed it into the basket plans to make jam and jelly already filling your mind when you felt yourself begin to flush from the sweltering heat of the sun beating down upon the glass. Your skin heating up to a point of large discomfort, sweat beginning to gather at your temples. You sighed knowing that you couldn't continue to harvest anything else unless you wanted to face Fiveâs rath over you overheating again.Â
âMom!â Maxine ran towards you eagerly hands encircling your legs as she got close enough for a welcoming hug. She quickly looked up towards you big green eyes staring at you prettilyÂ
âHiya munchkinâ You stroked the top of her hair as she smiled up at you with glee
âWhat doing?â the three-year-old questioned head titling as she waited for your responseÂ
âStrawberriesâ was all you replied grabbing the basket to show herÂ
âHave one?â she asked pointing at the basket, batting her eyes to try to sway your decision. You simply plucked one out of the basket and gave it to her relishing in the delighted smile she sent your way before biting into the sweet fruit. You smiled at her before looking up to meet the other pair of green eyes that had made their way into the greenhouse. Five watched the interaction of his favourite girls softly only moving closer once you looked at him.
âEverything alright mumma?â he questioned noticing your flustered expression from the moment he and Maxine stepped foot in the conservatory
âA bit hotâ you admitted with a shrug of your shoulders as he drew closer, trapping Maxine in between the two of you as the back of his hand touched your forehead he hummed in agreement with your words
âLetâs get you inside the house, donât need you getting heatstrokeâ You forced down the urge to roll your eyes at his dramatics and simply nodded in agreement
âSome cold water and a sit down would be nice.â
He grabbed one of your hands and Maxineâs with the other leading you both back towards the house. After placing the basket of strawberries in the kitchen you quickly sat down on the couch feeling a slight ache in your feet while Five grabbed you a glass of water with more icecubes than you could even count, you smiled in thanks as he passed it to you while Maxine sat next to you, a small children book in hands that she was determined to read to you and her younger sibling as she wanted them to be just as smart as her.Â
You could hear Five pattering around the house, tidying up before you could even think about it. Maxine had quickly given up on trying to read, getting bored after two pages and was instead sitting playing with some wooden blocks by your feet. You furrowed your eyebrows when you couldnât hear Five moving around anymore a stark silence surrounding you now.
âEverything alright?â you shouted trying to figure out where he had gotten to, heart fluttering when there was no reply. Setting your glass down on the table in front of you as you rose from your rather comfortable spot on the couch, you walked into the other room where your lover was his body was stick straight, eyes not daring to leave the notebook in his hand. âWhat?â you questioned softly walking towards him, eyeing the words on the book as you got close enough.
âThisâ he began astounded âIs our way home, itâs written by me but I didnât write this. Another me did.â you simply nodded before smiling Â
âLooks like weâre going home.â
ââ â§
You and Five found yourselves outside of what he assured you was his brother Diegoâs house. Maxine who was resting her head on his shoulder, legs wrapped around his middle looked astounded by the snow while nerves filled you- the last time you saw any of his family was when you were put on the case that got you lost in the timelines to begin with and even then you barely saw his brothers and sister-in-law as they were quickly taken to hq for a show round to get them out of the way. You didnât even want to think how you would explain this to them let alone to your own family but you guess this is the easier of the two as they all had powers and also been to multiple different timelines. Five set Maxine down next to you as he rapped on the door you quickly grabbed her hand before she could run off into the snow when the door openedÂ
âYou back!â the man, Diego you assumed, smiled as he looked at FiveÂ
âI amâ he stared at his brother almost in shock that he had seen him for the first time for him in seven years
âGoodâ the man confirmed âWe were all starting to get worried.â his eyes then turned towards you and the brunette-haired little girl who was trying to hide behind you âAnd you are?â he questioned and you quickly gave him your name his eyes sparking in recognition for some reason as he crouched to the ground to greet your daughter âAnd who is this little princess?â he asked quietly as Maxine started at himÂ
âThis is Maxineâ is all you said feeling Fiveâs eyes on you knowing he wanted to wait until you got inside to drop the bomb you could see Diego begin to connect the dots as he introduced himself to you but he was clearly confused because he would know if Five had a child in the last three years in this timeline at least.
âI will explain everything once we get inside- canât let the missus get coldâ is all he said to Diego as the man allowed you into his home.Â
He quickly led you to the living room where to sat on the sofa, Maxine being picked up by Five and placed on his lap when she tried to climb onto yours, you turned towards him to complain but quickly stopped when you met his glower instead choosing to put a comforting hand on your tummy a habit you kept from your first pregnancy. Diego called for his wife Lila to come to sit with him when the door opened revealing more of Fiveâs family he whispered their names to you as they walked in all choosing to sit down when Diego told them that Five was going to explain where heâs been and why his colleague, a word you hadnât been referred to as in a long time, was here. With most of his family here excluding Ben and Viktor, he cleared his throat to get their attention
âAs you all know the marigold has made our powers a little different to what we are used toâ They all made sounds of agreement âMy blinking takes only to a tube station where each stop is a new timeline and weâ gesturing to you âgot stuck, unable to find our way back until now. We were away for seven years but for you has only been a few hoursâ he took their silence as a sign to continue âThis is my wifeâ he spoke your name âAnd our daughter Maxine.â you sat in silence for a moment.
âWait! This is the colleague he was always telling us about?â Luther asked excitedly you turned to the larger man confused when Klaus and Allison quickly agreed with him
âI thought he was joking when he said there was a cute girl who he worked cases withâ Claire, Alisonâs daughter, announced making her mother and uncles laugh
âI canât believe you have a childâ Lila spoke eyes wide
âWell he is going to have another one in a couple of months,â you told the already shocked woman who quickly smiled at the revelation while the others called out congratulations to their brotherÂ
âHow far along are you?â Allison asked as she came up to you silently questioning if she could touch the small bump you simply nodded âWe think around thirteen weeksâ looking to Five who simply nodded
âShe only started showing a few days agoâ
âI canât believe itâ Luther called out while pulling funny faces making Maxine laugh as she got a little less shy around her family.
You smiled as you watched Maxine get up and walk towards Lilasâ children playing with them as Fiveâs hand found its way to yours stroking your knuckles. You never thought you could ever get home let alone come back home happier than you had left it. You suppose a thanks was due to your rather irritable husband and his wacky powers.

Five Hargreeves x reader
A/N: I just love jealous five
Warnings: None
Five Hargreeves was not used to feeling insecure. As a seasoned time-traveler, assassin, and occasional apocalypse preventer, heâd faced threats far more daunting than everyday emotions. But watching his wife, Y/n, laugh with the handsome barista at their favorite coffee shop brought out a side of him he wasnât quite familiar withâjealousy.
It was a sunny Saturday morning, and the small cafĂ© was bustling with activity. Five and Y/n had settled into a cozy corner, enjoying their rare day off. Y/n had just gone to the counter to get their second round of Coffeeâs when Five noticed the interaction.
The baristaâletâs call him Chad, because Five immediately decided he looked like a Chadâwas tall, with an easy smile and annoyingly perfect hair. Y/n was chatting animatedly with him, her laughter ringing out like a melody that grated on Fiveâs nerves when paired with Chadâs obvious admiration.
Five narrowed his eyes, feeling an unfamiliar twist in his stomach. Was Y/n flirting with him? Was Chad flirting with her?
Y/n, oblivious to her husbandâs inner turmoil, was just asking Chad about the origin of the cafĂ©âs unique blend. Five knew this because, in between sips of his black Coffee, he had tuned his hearing to pick up their conversation. âItâs nothing,â he told himself. âJust a friendly chat.â
But as the conversation continued and Chad seemed to grow more animated, Five decided heâd had enough. He stood up and sauntered over to the counter, trying to exude casual confidence but managing more of a stiff-legged march.
âHey, honey,â Five said, slipping an arm around Y/nâs waist a bit too possessively. âEverything okay here?â
Y/n looked up, surprised but smiling. âHey, Five! I was just talking to Chad about the coffee. He was telling me about this new blend from Guatemala.â
Chad, who clearly had no idea what he was stepping into, gave Five a friendly nod. âItâs a unique roastâvery complex, with notes of chocolate and citrus. Would you like to try a sample?â
Fiveâs eyes narrowed slightly, and he plastered on a tight smile. âNo, thanks. Iâm not interested in... complicated blends.â He tightened his grip on Y/n, causing her to glance at him quizzically.
âOh, Five, you should try it!â Y/n said, missing the tension in his voice. âItâs really interesting.â
Five huffed, attempting to sound nonchalant. âIâm more of a classic black coffee guy. Simple. To the point.â
Chad, apparently unbothered by the awkwardness, handed Y/n her latte. âWell, if you change your mind, just let me know. Iâm always here.â
Fiveâs smile turned into a grimace. âAlways here, huh?â He cleared his throat. âYeah, well, we wonât keep you from your important work, Chad. Thanks for the coffee.â
Chad raised an eyebrow, sensing the underlying hostility, but shrugged and returned to his duties. Y/n, meanwhile, was thoroughly confused by Fiveâs sudden mood swing.
As they returned to their table, Y/n couldnât help but giggle. âFive, are you... jealous?â
Five scoffed, though his cheeks tinged pink. âJealous? Me? Absolutely not. Why would I be jealous of some... latte-making, foam-art... Chad?â
Y/n laughed, setting her latte down and reaching for Fiveâs hand. âChad is just a barista. A nice one, sure, but itâs not like Iâm running off with him.â
Five sighed, feeling a bit sheepish. âI know, I just... I didnât like how he was looking at you. Or how you were laughing at his stupid coffee jokes.â
Y/n squeezed his hand. âFive, you have nothing to worry about. I love you, not some random guy at a coffee shop. Besides,â she added with a mischievous grin, âyouâre much better looking.â
Fiveâs frown melted into a smirk. âWell, thatâs true. But just so you know, if Chad tries anything, he might find himself serving coffee in the Stone Age.â
Y/n laughed, pulling him into a hug. âNoted. But for now, how about we enjoy our coffee and let Chad keep his job?â
Five rolled his eyes, but he couldnât help but chuckle. âFine, but Iâm keeping an eye on him.â
The next weekend, Y/n dragged Five back to the cafĂ©, much to his reluctance. âLetâs give it another try,â she said, nudging him playfully.
When they entered, Chad greeted them with a bright smile. âHey, itâs my favorite couple! What can I get you today?â
Five stiffened but managed a polite nod. âIâll have a black Coffee.â
Y/n chuckled, ordering her usual latte. As they waited, Five leaned over to whisper in Y/nâs ear. âIf he tries to give you a free sample of that Guatemalan blend, Iâm dumping it on his head.â
Y/n laughed, kissing his cheek. âYouâre ridiculous, you know that?â
Five grinned, wrapping his arm around her waist. âRidiculously in love with you, maybe.â
As they sipped their drinks, Fiveâs jealousy faded into the background, replaced by the warmth of Y/nâs laughter and the comfort of their love. Chad, blissfully unaware of the near prehistoric coffee trip heâd narrowly avoided, continued making his foam art, completely oblivious to the small drama heâd unwittingly starred in.
And Five, despite his occasional lapses into jealousy, realized that with Y/n by his side, there was nothing he couldnât handleâeven a charming barista named Chad.

summary: you look so gorgeous in your dress. what kind of boyfriend would diego be if he didnât show you how pretty he thought you looked?
warnings: this is SMUT so 17+ for this one, soft!dom!Diego, back-scratches, fingering, p in v, mentions of oral, swearing
word count: 2.3k
Today you had to attend a gala at the Mexican Consulate. Why? To find Reginald Hargreeves and finally get some answers. You had dressed in a deep cyan dress, made of a shiny material that pulled in at the waist and flew out to your thighs. Despite the tight fit, it was both surprisingly comforting and flattering. You stood in from of the bedroom mirror, painting your lips a perky pink - since the apocalypse youâd had little reason to dress up, so maybe you were taking advantage of it now.
A sly smile spread across Diegoâs lips as he strolled over. He whistled, leaning against the doorframe, âLook at youâŠâ He says, gaze trailing over your body appreciatively.
You laugh softly and as you get closer, he slips his hand around your waist, squeezing at the blue fabric gathered around your hip, âThis is very pretty.â He coos, pecking your cheek.
He looked more than good himself, in a navy-blue suit and a tie that was practically begging you to tug on. The suit was just tight enough that you could see the indents of his muscular biceps. You bit your lip, smiling shyly, âThank you.â
You leaned up to peck Diegoâs lips and he grinned, pulling you closer. Five clapped his hands as he entered the room, stepping between you and putting an instantaneous end to whatever mightâve come from your mutual advances, âAlright⊠Letâs go, shall we?â
He prompted the two of you with a less-than-impressed smile. With a reluctant sigh, Diego squeezed your hip once more before he let you go. He punched Five in the gut as he walked past, muttering âcockblockâ under his breath.
You snorted as you stepped past Five, now doubled over. He grumbled under his breath, glaring at Diego and begrudgingly following after you both. You couldnât help but smile at the interaction, as childish as it was. Five beckoned you both closer.
He sighed, brushing his sleeve away to read his watch, âFantastic, weâre already late.â He held his hands out to both you and Diego, which you took, and then blinked the three of you inside of the building.
You wound up in a quieter corridor, somewhere upstairs, and Five shook out his shoulders, looking at both of you, âAll we have to do is find Dad and get him to talk. Do you think that you two morons can manage that without screwing it up?â
He raised an eyebrow as he looked between the two of you. Diego pulled you closer, shaking his head as he smiled cockily, âWeâre not morons, we know how to handle ourselves. So, just⊠relax for a second, alright?â
âHandling yourselves is not what Iâm worried about.â Five sighs, features curling with distaste as he eyed Diegoâs hand on your waist. Diego scoffed at his brother.
âRelax. We got this.â He grins and the mischievous glint in his eye only makes Fiveâs concerned frown deepen.
He shakes his head as he walks past both of you. âJesus⊠You know what? Do what you want, just donât get caught. There is more at stake here than the two of you.â He says, pointing at you.
With those parting words, Five disappears around the corner. Diego watches until he leaves and then heâs walking you backwards into the nearest room.
âDiego!â You laugh, pressing both hands against his chest in protest. He simply intertwines your fingers, grinning.
âWhat?â He teases, his voice mocking yours as he closes the door behind him with his foot. He spins you around and you come face to face with your reflection in the bathroom mirror. Your cheeks are flushed and your eyes are already blown out with lust.
Diego slips his arms around your waist again, leaning down to peck your neck. âYou look so beautiful.â He praises and you inhale sharply, hands sliding down your body to rest over the top of his.
He smirks against your neck as his lips travel down to your collarbone, which he nips. âDiego.â You say again, already feeling yourself grow breathless and recognising the growing heat in the pit of your stomach.
His grins like the devil as he watches your each and every reaction, âOh, does that feels good?â He says, biting down on your neck again.
You shiver and bite your lip. You shouldnât be doing this now, not here, there are more pressing matters at hand. Five had not so subtly reminded the two of you just moments ago but how were you supposed to say no to him when he was riled up like this?
âGod, Diego, we shouldnâtâŠâ You sigh blissfully, feeling your thighs clench as Diego presses up against you from behind.
âWeâll be quick, I promise.â He smiles, pecking your shoulder affectionately, âI just wanna show my girl some attention, thatâs all.â
My girl. God, it should be crime for him to use those words with how easily it makes your resolve crumble. You groaned, shifting restlessly, âBabeâŠâ
âWhat, baby? What do you expect me to do?â He croons, with mock sympathy. His hands slide over your body, up to your chest.
He rubs his fingers over you through the fabric of your dress as he mumbles into the crook of your neck, âHow am I supposed to act when youâre standing here looking so good for me, hm?â
Your back arches up against him and he smiles, hands travelling down, over the expanse over your stomach and you watch in the reflection of the mirror in front of you as his hands disappear out of view. You feel them though.
He kneads your ass between his fingers and gently bites at your shoulder, âCome on, baby.â
Your will is broken and you sigh, one hand reaching out to tug at his tie. You pull him around by it so that heâs facing you. Despite the shock on his face, Diego is more than happy with this new development. You smirk and pull him down to kiss your lips.
He reciprocates it hungrily, his hands cupping your face, pulling you closer and closer. He hums happily against your lips, and your hands slip up into his long curls. You pull at the strands, releasing a guttural moan from Diego.
He pulls back and bites his lip, brushing your hair back from your face, âGod, youâre so fucking pretty, you know that?â
He repeats for the hundredth time today, yet it doesnât stop the warmth from blossoming in your cheeks or your lower belly, âThank you.âY ou say obediently.
And, just as he does every time, he reassures you with a kiss to your lips saying, âYou donât have to thank me for the truth, baby.â
With that, his hands slip around the backs of your thighs, propping you up onto the counter. He looks up at you like heâs entirely unworthy of you. Like he would worship you.
He bites his lip, muttering a pleased âfuckâ to himself as he goes in to kiss you again. You smile against his lips, arms going around his neck and pulling him impossibly closer.
His hands wander from your waist, around your back, to your dressâs zipper. He tugs it down, pulling away from your lips and slowly peppering kisses down your neck, all the way to the centre of your breasts.
He looks up and you, eyes hooded, and the sight is enough to make you moan. Your hand comes up to the back of his head then, encouraging him as his lips slide over your sensitive nipple. His tongue swirls around it, until he feels it grow hard. He sucks gently on it, and pulls away with a gentle pop.
Simultaneously, his free hand works to stimulate your other nipple, fingers rolling the bud between his fingers and massaging your breast. Your hips shift and he smiles, pecking your cheek, âSo impatient.â
âNoâŠâ You reply, breathlessly, sitting up straighter, âJust time conscious.â
He laughs, hiking your dress up over your hips, âOh? Is that what theyâre calling it now?â
âIt is, yeah.â You smile, cupping his face and gently pecking his lips. He rolls his eyes, smiling as his fingers toy with your waistband.
âBrat.â He taunts, tugging the slim string of your panties down, over the smooth fat of your thighs, and letting it fall to your ankles. You feel the air brush over your inner thighs and your sensitive bud, already slick with your wetness.
âShitâŠâ Diego says, growing breathless himself as he takes in the sight of your glistening pussy. He brushes his fingers over your folds for a moment, before slipping two of them inside of you.
He watches, entirely mesmerised by the motion of you taking his thick fingers. You huff, back arching and fingers curling as you fail to find something to keep you steady. He takes your hand, guiding it to his shoulder instead.
He pumps his fingers in and out of you furiously and you whine, clinging to his other forearm, âI know, baby girl, but I have to prep you first. Just come for me, come for me and then Iâll fill you up, I promise.â
He coos, slipping a third finger in, despite the resistance. You gasp, burying your face in the crook of his neck as your hips spasm, coating his fingers with your slick in record time, âGood girl.â He praises, pecking your cheek.
âYouâre making me wish I had the time to taste you.â He huffs frustratedly, watching your hips buck as he removes his fingers from you, chasing the fullness heâd left you without.
âYeah?â You ask breathlessly, tilting your head to the side.
âYeah.â He smiled. He took his fingers into his mouth, sucking them clean, and groaned. He kisses you again and tasting the remnants of yourself on his tongue only serves to make you want him more, âBut⊠since I donâtâŠâ
You watch eagerly as he pulls back slightly, his fingers unbuckling his belt with practised ease. And, God, your head feels so hazy right now, that even that is turning you on.
He smirks and kisses your lips as he strips down, letting you see all of him, âYouâre so quiet tonight, baby.â
He gives his cock a few tugs and then he kisses your lips again. He smiles, âI want you to try and be louder for me. Want to hear those pretty moans of yours. Think you can do that for me?â
âMm⊠yeah.â You nod.
He kisses you again, sliding his hand over your waist as he brings you closer, âGood.â
âOh, fuck.â You gasp, hands grasping at his shoulders like a lifeline as he pressed his tip against your entrance, gently pushing in.
You felt yourself swallow him and you both let out a collective sigh, pressing your foreheads against one another. You didnât think you would ever get over how good it felt to be so effortlessly full up by him.
âThatâs it.â He cooed softly, rubbing your hip with his thumb as he pushed himself deeper, âDoing so good, baby, taking me so wellâŠâ He leaned down, pressing a kiss to your cheek as he bottomed out inside of you. You felt him twitch, and he groaned as he adjusted to the feeling of your perfect grip on him.
âShit, babyâŠâ He hissed through his teeth, beginning to move. The thump of the counter hitting the wall as he started to fuck you against it made you clench around him.
After letting you adjust to him, he started moving faster, causing your breath to hiccup slightly as you moaned, âYeah? Is that good? Does that feel good?â
Your nails scraped over his back, trying to pull him ever closer. Your hands drove through his skin in time with his thrusts, leaving glaring red marks down his toned back. He groaned, biting his tongue. The sight of them only made your eyes roll back, as well as your head.
He caught his breath and chuckled, tongue in his cheek as he thrust harder, hands gripping at your love handles, âYou like seeing the marks youâre leaving on me, baby?â
All you could do was nod as you looked up at him, hair tousled and lips puffy from your kiss. Your breath was made up of nothing but desperate, little whines as he pushed himself deeper.
He grinned slyly, tilting your head up and pressing his thumb to your bottom lip, forcing your mouth open, âCome on, I know you know the answer. Tell me, baby. Tell me how much you like leaving marks on me.â
âMmph⊠I love it, love leaving marks on you.â You whine, head lolling back again.
âYeah, I know you do.â He cups your face, keeping your head up and your eyes on him. He shifts his hips, his strokes delving deeper. Your eyes flutter shut and he practically growls at the sight of you - all pretty and fucked out, just for him. His girl.
âFuck, fuck, fuckâŠâ You whine, writhing in his arms as you feel him bury his cock inside of you, deeper and deeper. His hand skims over your stomach and down to your clit, rubbing circles over it as he kisses along your neck.
âYou close?â He asks, knowing the tell-tale signals of your body as you begin to clench around him. You nod, moaning and arching your back, grinding your hips down against him harder.
âShit, yesâŠâ You gasp, eyes fluttering shut as you roll your hips, desperately seeking release. Your hand clutches his bicep and you moan instinctively as your fingers struggle to wrap around it fully.
He grunts, trying desperately to keep his composure for a little bit longer, when you both know that heâs so fucking close to bursting. You moan, practically limp in his arms at these point as he fucks up into you, âShit, yes, Diego, fuckâŠâ
The only words out of your mouth at this point are incoherent babbling and Diego groans, pulling you back in for a messy kiss, âFuck, come for me. Come for me, baby, I know you want to. Fucking come for me.â
And you do.

Five Hargreeves x Fem!Reader
Summary: Y/N Hargreeves, formerly of the Sparrow Academy, finds herself virtually alone in the reset timeline. The Umbrellaâs bring her in to their chaos and she builds something new for herself while still navigating the grief of losing her family. Sheâs happy in the simplicity. That is, until the one Hargreeves she canât seem to win over comes to her with an offer she might not be able to refuse.
Warnings: Some cursing. Some angst.
(Part 1/?)
A/N: This one will be 4 or 5 parts. A bit of a coffee shop AU if you squint
ââââââ
She missed her family. She missed them so desperately that sometimes when she dreamt of them at night, she would wake up in tears as the loneliness set in and she realized that her dreams were the only place she would see them again. They had been dysfunctional and as far as families go, not that close, but they had been hers. She would never understand how she had survived everything, how she had made it through the reset when the others did not. She technically had Ben but he had distanced himself not just from the Umbrellaâs, but from her, as soon as they fell into this timeline. Now he was in prison for a white-collar bitcoin crime and he refused to have visitors altogether. She was well and truly the last of her family.
It got easier with time and she fell into a predictable, mundane routine. For the first time in her life, she was forced to slow down and be a normal human being. No powers. No Sparrow Academy. Just living and surviving.
She found an apartment with a roommate who mostly kept to themselves and a stable, if not a bit boring, job as a barista at a local coffee shop just a block from home. It wasnât much and some months she was barely scraping by, but it was a start and she was happy.
The other Hargreeves children, the Umbrellas, brought her into the fold of their chaotic family and soon, she began to feel less alone.
She had brunch with Luther every Sunday at his club. They spent that time talking about Sloane, keeping her memory alive between them. She shared her childhood memories of her sister and Luther soaked it all in, grateful to receive any little piece of new information about his wife that he could get. She was thankful for that time with him and happy that someone loved Sloane the way she always deserved to be loved. Even if it was just for a moment.
Diego and Lila had her over for family game night at least once a month and she had coffee with Lila every week at the shop. Their children called her aunt and she made sure that they were properly spoiled, much to their parent's dismay.
She made the trek to Victorâs bar often in the evenings not just for the free drinks, but because he was actually wonderful company and he made sure to carve out time to sit and talk with her whenever he could take a break from running things. Like her, she suspected that he also felt a bit lonely.
Klaus and Allison came as a pair these days. Their dynamic was a sight to behold as Klaus navigated his newfound sobriety, and Allison pulled together a life doing what she loved, to support her daughter. She loved being around them.
But there was one particular family member that Y/N could not quite figure out.
Five.
Apart from their initial interaction at Sloane and Lutherâs wedding where he had drunkenly accosted her about her powers, he had barely acknowledged her existence. While she was building relationships with his other siblings, he kept her at arm's length. Sure, he was cordial with her at family events and dinners, but thatâs where he drew the line. He rebuffed every attempt she made at finding a connection with him.
That is until he started showing up every morning at the coffee shop she worked at. The same time every morning and the same, predictable order.
The first time he walked through the door she was taken aback. She knew he lived on the other side of town but she chalked it up to some work thing bringing him there.
He made his order, indulged her in small talk, and sat down, opening up a newspaper to read while he sipped his coffee.
She thought it was a one-off, but was very surprised when he turned up the next morning at the same time.
And then the morning after that and the morning after that.
He began conversing with her for longer periods of time, asking questions about her day-to-day life after the reset and even sharing some tidbits of information about himself. She knew he worked for the CIA and had recently moved into a new apartment.
A few weeks went by and each day was the same. It reached the point that she would have his coffee made and the donut he liked set aside before he even made it through the door.
But after a while, her curiosity began to get the better of her. Why was he here? Why was he suddenly showing interest in her and what she was doing with her life? It was making her crazy!
âYour black, boring coffee, sir,â Y/N said in the most sugary sweet voice she could muster, setting the cup down in front of the irritating man in front of her.
Five immediately picked it up and took a deep sip, âFantastic as usual.â
She pulled the chair out across from him and sat down with a huff, âCut the crap, Five. We both know you have much closer coffee shops to your apartment. Why, may I ask, do you insist on frequenting mine? Is it just to pester me?â
âMaybe I just like your company,â Five shrugged, leaning back to observe her.
This poked at her ire even more. He was always doing that. Just observing her like some sort of animal in an enclosure. Always there at his little table near the window. Rain or shine.
âOh please!â She scoffed, âYouâve never given any indication that you even like me, let alone enjoy my company. In fact, until you started showing up here every day, I was pretty sure you hated me. So, again, cut the crap and tell me why youâre really here.â
âFine,â he said, sitting his mug down so that he could give her his full, undivided attention, âI have a proposition for you.â
âThis should be good.â
âMy boss wants me to take on a partner,â he explained, âbut the problem with that is that I donât really trustâŠanyone really. But Iâve watched you these last few years, Y/N, and I know that youâre smart, analytical, and incredibly sharp. Your powers fine-tuned all of your senses and even if you donât have them anymore, thatâs still there. And thatâs what I want in a partner.â
âFive, Iâm not even trained to work for the CIA,â she reminded him, âIâm sure theyâre not going to just let some random person join ranks without experience.â
âBut you do have experience,â he insisted, âyouâre a Sparrow. Youâve literally been trained since birth to be a fighter, a spy, or whatever else Dad needed us to be.â
âNeed I remind you that neither the sparrows nor the umbrellas existed in this timeline? So none of that is going to mean jack shit to anyone.â
âIt will if I forge a few documents,â he said, leaning forward so that he could get a clear look at her, âHow do you think I got this far looking this young? Iâll do the same for you and everyone will think youâre an FBI transfer. Theyâll be none the wiser. Trust me, not everyone high up is as smart as theyâd like to think they are.â
She doubted anyone was that stupid.
âFive, this might come as a surprise to you, but I actually really like my life here,â she told him, âitâs peaceful and easy and I donât really need any more than that. After so long of fighting and striving for perfection for the Sparrows, Iâm ready to just settle down and live slowly. So, thanks, but I think Iâll pass.â
âYou say that,â he chuckled, âyou say that you want peace and quiet but I know thatâs just something you tell yourself. Because Iâve told myself the same thing and it didnât suit me. But letâs face it, youâre as unhinged as me. You NEED the chaos. You thrive on it.â
âYouâre really not doing yourself any favors here, Five,â she hissed. âBesides, why me? Why havenât you asked Diego? Hasnât he been bugging you about bringing in his resume? Make him your partner.â
âDiego and Lila have enough going on in their lives,â he waved her off, âAnd Diego is a skilled fighter but he lacks in the brains department. Trust me.â
With that final statement, Five stood up and pushed in his chair before downing the last dredges of his coffee, âJust think about it, okay? And until then, Iâll be here every day, as usual. No one makes a cup of coffee quite like you.â
With a wink he left her sitting at the table alone, wondering why on earth she was actually considering his offer.

Missed me?
Five Hargreeves x reader
You were walking around the house, whoâs house you didnât know. Itâs been a while since youâve seen your husband. You donât remember how you got here, but you do remember seeing a bright light the last time you closed your eyes. You remember waking up and you were surrounded with a beautiful house and an amazing view. Also two kids, whose kids? You got a clue that they were yours, since they did look like you and your husband. It felt like time didnât move here. Everyday felt like a blessing to you. With your kids and doing things you couldn't, it was fun. You went towards the kitchen and started making lunch for you and your children when all out of sudden you heard a crash. You jumped in fright and ran towards the crash, you heard your kid screaming for you. You panicked more and ran faster. You skidded and almost crashed into a desk and panted and looked around in panic. Your oldest son Eugene looked at you with panic. His emerald eyes widening at the sight of two men fighting. You waved your hand at Eugene letting him know to not involve himself with whoever it was that was fighting. You somehow were able to seperate the two men. Once you did you saw their faces. Your eyes widened at the lanky man and a bulk man?
âWho are you guys?â you whisper.
The men stopped fighting and looked at you. They looked at you confused. Not knowing why you were here when they havenât met another person that also interacted. Eugene came from where he was hiding and put a protective hand around you. Thatâs when the two men saw Eugene. He resembled Five so much. Looked like him too.
âFive?â they said in synch.
Your eyebrows furrowed hearing your husbandâs name. You turned to look at your son and realize why they said your husbandâs name. You were about to correct them when the lanky man walked slowly towards Eugene.
âFâŠFive how did youâŠ. Did dad kill you too?â He gasped out.
You blink your eyes multiple times at what he said. Hold up what? What is going on that he said that to your son. You stood in front of the lanky man and lightly pushed him away from your son.
âHow did you..I.. I donât know who you are but his name is Eugene HargreevesâŠheâs my sonâŠ.. His father is Five HargreevesâŠâ You murmur, scared that this person knew your husband.
The lanky person looks at you and then at Eugene, he does a double take and then lets out a breathy laugh clapping his hands. You looked at him like he was deranged not knowing what was happening. You looked at the other guy and he just smiled at you awkwardly. You give him a weak smile. The muscle man then lets you know where you are. You passed away, in the apocalypse in the arms of the man that had your heart. Your eyes blinked, you shook your head, your eyes started to tear up. You didnât want to believe it. He was lying. You were alive and living. You were living with your two kids. Your 15 year old son and your 6 year old daughter. You covered your mouth to stop the sobs that were about to come out. Your knees buckled and your son held you before you actually fell down on the ground.Â
It was a lie.
This life was a lie.
You were dead.
Your kids werenât real.
This felt like a nightmare.
You finally let out a sob. You shook your head and with your head trembling you banged on the floor with your fists. Your son held you and grabbed your hands. You wanted to push him away but how could you. He was still your son whether it was real or not. You raised him. He was here in this world when you got here too. He was just an infant and you raised him. He was your son whether it was all a hallucination or not. You looked at the lanky man and with a trembling voice you asked.
âWho⊠who are you?âÂ
The lanky man looked at you and then looked at the big buff guy. They had a silent discussion with each other but then the buff guys looked at you and bent down to your height. He gave you a nervous smile and with one last look at the lanky man he put out a hand out for you to shake.
âMy name is Luther and this here is Klaus we are⊠Well, Five is our brother.â
You stared at them. You knew trying to look for a resemblance was futile due to Five being adopted. You knew it was also useless asking them questions about your husband. Well unless they have been with him for the past who knows how many years you have been here, but it wouldn't hurt to ask still.
âHow⊠How is he? Has he been eating? Taking care of himself? Did he save you guys from the apocalypse?âÂ
You fired out questions. You knew you needed answers. You wanted to know how your husband was after you passed away. Who knows how his mind worked when you passed away. Klaus looked at Luther and he let out a nervous laugh. Oh great he was doing a shit job at taking care of himself, you thought. You put a hand out to stop him before he told you how he was and quickly ran towards your room to change. You looked in your closet for some clothes that will be comfortable to fight and move around. You glanced at an eggshell white puffy shirt. It had ruffles on the neck and it was a shirt that was thin so you wouldn't get hot easily. You quickly grabbed it and put it on while you looked to see what bottoms would go with it. You saw a black skirt that went all the way to a bit past your knees. It was snuggled on the waist but became flare at the end. You held it up a bit to put on a knife holster and a gun one. You didn't know what would happen but you wanted to be safe. You then froze. What about your children?
What would happen to them if you decided to go with your brothers-in-law? Will they still exist? Will they disappear once you leave? That's it you can leave with them. You close your eyes and with a shaky sigh put on some knee high socks and small 3 inch heel boots. You let out a deep breath and headed to where your family was. Klaus glanced at you and blinked his eyes. You looked ready to murder. Maybe that's why Five was so in love with you. He did describe you as someone that was strong and skilled when they both went on that crazy adventure to find his mother. Luther stared at you and then gave you a nervous smile worried on his eyes.
âAre you sure you want to go in a skirt if we could take you?â
You looked at him up and down.Â
âI could tear you apart if I wanted. Don't test my limits just because of a lousy skirt.â
You remarked. Luther blinked multiple times and just nodded his head slowly. Eugene came holding Evangeline and gave you a soft smile. Coming to hug you and give you a peck on the cheek. Your smile was watery while you hugged your kids tight. You gave each a kiss on the forehead how you used to do every time you put them to bed.Â
âLos amo demasiado. Los volverĂ© a ver en el futuro. Okay take care of each other.â
You whimpered. Trying not to cry but a small tear fell. You then gave them another kiss and turned towards Klaus and Luther, but you only saw Luther standing them crying. You gave him a confused look and tried to look around hoping to see your other brother-in-law. When you got close to Luther you questioned him.
âWhereâs Klaus?â
Luther looked at you and held your hand. You took one last glance at your kids and they waved at you while all you did was blow them a small kiss. Luther then let you know that Klaus can come back from the dead and was probably back with the family. You nodded your head and then started walking with him. Where? You don't know and don't ask, just let him guide you. He started asking questions about how life was here in the afterlife. You responded to the questions. You werenât going to lie, you did love it here, it was peaceful, no apocalypse and you had your kids, but you did tell him you miss Five. After walking for a while you saw that Luther was flickering. You grew worried and panic started to settle into your body. You were scared he was leaving you.Â
Out of nowhere he did dissapear. That's when you full blown panic. You walked around not too far from where he disappeared. You screamed out his name, you started gasping and tried to catch your breath but nothing. Out of nowhere luther falls from the sky and falls with a big thump. You froze and just stared at him.
âDid they kill you again? Does your family not like you or what?â
You confusedly questioned him. All he did was groan and you hesitantly let out a hand to try to help him up. Which was a bad mistake due to him putting all his weight and making you fall also. He mumbled an apology and you just shook your head at him. You fidgeted with your fingers and looked at him expecting for him to tell you what happened. When he was about to tell you an elevator suddenly appeared out of nowhere. You both glanced at each other and held out his arm for you to hold. You gave him a small nod and held it. You both walked in and the elevator doors closed.
You both were blinded with a bright light, but it all faded when the doors opened. First Luther took cautious steps and he nodded his head for you to also take some steps out of the elevator. You took slow steps and looked around. You saw more people turn around and then that's when you saw him. Your husband.
âFâŠFive?â
Five turned around and his eyes widened. His mouth opened and closed like a fish and he just stared at you. His eyes got teary and his lips trembled, but he pursed his lips together in case he let out a sob. You slowly walked towards him and you blink fast but your face was already sticky from the silent tears that were slowly falling down your eyes. Five started to walk towards you until he was in front of you and he grabbed you so fast and held you. That's when you heard him break down. Your husband, the one person you know that will always put his walls up from everyone, was crying. Five was so relieved, he left like he hasn't seen you since forever, when in reality it's been around 2 months. He breathed in your smell and he let out a teary laugh. He touched you everywhere hoping he wasn't dreaming.Â
âYou.. i.. I can⊠where⊠you..â
He sobbed. He couldn't let out a sentence without being a blubbering mess. You smiled fondly and held his cheek.
âShh, shh i know i'm here. I miss you so much amor.â
You quietly cried out. He let out another teary laugh this one with so much emotion. His siblings stared at his brother and the woman. The person he was showing so much affection and love towards. Klaus smiled tearily and pulled al his siblings aside. Five looked at you and finally gave you a meaningful and loving kiss. One you found yourself lost in.
âThats Fiveâs wife.â
He mumbled quietly to not disturbed the sweet and long moment he knew his brother deserved.
 This is what you needed.
 Your husband.Â
The love of your life.
 Your soulmate.Â
Five finally kissed you and you sighed in bliss. You finally were in your husband arms again.Â

Watching
Thereâs many characters in the commission to say the least, everyone got their story and how they got there, much how you ended up there.
But you werenât that special, you donât think so at least, not with your coworker having the head of a cow and speaking fluent Spanish and French.
You didnât usually interact with other employees there that werenât in your department, it wasnât because you thought yourself better than them but everyone other than you moved too fast, worried at lot, but you suppose the calmness comes from knowing what your future is and how very little it takes to change your fate.
It was also noted that your department tended to stay to focus on appearances and self expression, youâll be mostly found in different outfits and fun makeup, it clashed with the usual uniform but it was fine because in your case, it mattered what you said rather than what you looked.
In your years there youâve predicted deaths, wars, fallouts and whatever you can think about.
It was your job anyways and no one knew your face to point fingers at who is telling on their little failed schemes.
AlthoughâŠ.there has been a change of atmosphere since you began seeing some interesting visions about a certain agent.
Five Hargreaves.
An oldie he was, yet surprisingly this was the first time youâve seen him do something soâŠ.unexpected.
End of the world? His family? A new threat from within? Interesting.
You find yourself watching him, from your department, from the windows, he always walked with a purpose and heading somewhere.
Your coworker likes to tease you about thisâŠsudden interest of yours calling him a call for help and that you need to get laid or something along those lines.
"Thereâs a thin line between sliver box and a grumpy git sweetie"
"Oh come on, arenât you even a little curious? Heâs soâŠmysterious"
Your staring had led to some rumors spreading around but nothing crazy, you werenât the first to show any interest in five but it did become slightly embarrassing when you caught him staring at you during a New Yearâs party.
Then you were surprised to find him up in your department looking for you.
"I thought Iâll drop by instead of our regular routine of you staring down at home like a hawk and me pretending I donât see you"
"OhâŠsorry?"
"Iâll accept good coffee and a conversation as a form of apology, meet at six outside."
Did he just ask you out? You werenât so sure about it but it did happen and there were cameras, and to say the least, you became everyoneâs business within a few hours.
"Care to tell me why a woman like you was staring at old me? I know your job here and what youâre capable of" He was so calm it made you shiver but you still kept your professional ïżŒface on.
"You know as much as me that if I let something out both of us would be counting our days here"
"I see the rumors are true" He smirked
"Which ones?" Your curiosity peaked.
He took a sip from his cup "thatâs a subject for another day with a much filling meal"
You bit your lip and chuckled "Are you asking me to dinner?"
The older gentleman eyed you so intensely you could almost feel the blush creeping at the back of your neck "I know a good restaurant in 1987 France"
"Hmm, itâs a date then"
"Only if you keep wearing that red lipstick of yours"
So he was watching you too "donât tempt me I might rebel off and put something else, mess with you a little"
"I thought your department was too much of a bunch of goody two shoes"
You smiled at him then moved your under the table and kicked foot making him wince in pain.
"Pick me up at 7:30pm and a word of advice, watch out for chainsaw at your next mission" You stops leaving him stunned and clearly interested.
"Will do, will do."

I found out from the production designer's website and an interview he did that the basement kitchen is actually the 'kid's lounge', a space the siblings created for themselves.
And I've been obsessed with it ever since because I feel it gives us more of an idea about what the umbrellas childhoods were like.
Because, okay there's the slightly extravagant things like the pool table and foozball table, but most of it is very simple. A hifi system and a collection of cassettes and CDs (I bet Luther was only allowed have a record collection as part of his special treatment as Number One), what looks like board games and some toys in what used to be the butcher shops fridges and there's another toy next to the hifi system that looks similar to some of the ones we see in Five's room.
And in the scene where Allison and Diego fight Cha Cha we see art supplies as well.
These are just basic things most kids would grow up with but the umbrellas had to create a secret place, away from their father, to have them. It's just desperately sad.
But I also find it kind of beautiful that they worked together to make a place for themselves and I like to imagine the process of it coming together. Them scavenging furniture from the unused academy rooms. One of them finds the table in storage room, or the attic maybe, and then over the next few weeks they manage to take chairs from different rooms until they can all sit at the table together. Coming home from Griddy's one night (sneaking out became a lot easier once they had a separate entrance that their dad didn't know about) they spot an armchair and a sofa left out on the sidewalk and they don't look in too bad a condition so Five jumps back with the armchair while the others carry the sofa home (Five was still getting the hang of jumping with objects, the sofa was still a bit too big for him to manage). Grace catches them stealing food to take downstairs one day and she mentions it to Pogo (who knows about the room since it's right next to his own room, but he chooses to turn a blind eye) and suddenly there's a fridge in the room and Grace makes sure it and the cupboards are always fully stocked, even after the kids are gone (we see Five make a sandwich here when he comes back from the apocalypse). Hargreeves never interacts with Grace much and doesn't pay much attention to the food orders she makes as long as she stays in budget so some extra loaves of bread or jars of peanut butter won't catch his attention.
And Hargreeves never found out about the room because There's no reason for him to go to the basement, the only things in the basement are Pogo's room (so telling that there are 42 bedrooms in the academy but Pogo is relegated to the basement) and a utilitiy room. Viktor's cell is also in the basement but it's accessed by a separate elevator so Hargreeves wouldn't pass the kid's lounge to get to it.
You can tell how important the space was to the siblings as well because of how they use it in adulthood.
It's where they all go when Five returns and where they hangout when in the academy (we see them in the living room too but mostly for family meetings).
When Viktor comes to invite the others to his concert he comes through the butcher shop entrance.
It's where Klaus gathers his brothers when he tells them that he spoke to Reginald the night before.
And, even when he was the only one left living in the academy, Luther ate breakfast there.
It's the only part of the academy they feel is truly theirs and theirs alone. It's their safe place.
#the umbrella academy#tua#analysis#set design#the siblings#this was partially writtem in my drafts for ages after tumblr only saved a partial draft so I lost a large chunk of it#finally got over it today and finished writing it#the visual syory telling in the TUA sets is one of my favourite things

He constantly pushes you beyond your limits, often to the point of exhaustion, but he sees it as necessary to protect you
Luther frequently brings up shared memories, emphasizing how much you mean to him and how special your bond is
He uses these memories to create a sense of dependency, making it seem like no one else understands or cares for you as deeply as he does
As the de facto leader of the Hargreeves siblings, Luther naturally takes charge
He extends this authority into your relationship, making decisions on your behalf and expecting you to comply without question
He believes he knows whatâs best for you and often dismisses your opinions
Luther talks about your future together as if itâs already decided, with plans for marriage, children, and a shared life
He doesnât seek your input on these plans, instead presenting them as inevitable and perfect, making it hard for you to voice any doubts or objections
Luther loves taking you on spontaneous trips to remote and isolated places where you can be alone together
These adventures are meant to be romantic, but they also serve to keep you away from others and make you more reliant on him
He collects and cherishes items that remind him of you, like a lock of your hair, a piece of your clothing, or a note you wrote
He keeps these mementos in a secret box, often looking at them to feel closer to you
Luther overanalyzes your interactions with others, always on the lookout for potential threats
He questions you about your relationships and can become paranoid, interpreting innocent actions as signs of betrayal or disinterest

Luther exaggerates situations to make himself your hero

Luther keeps a secret box filled with mementos from your relationship, like movie tickets, dried flowers, and photos
He looks at these items to feel closer to you and to remind himself of your bond
Without your knowledge, Luther sets up cameras in your home to monitor you and âensure your safetyâ
He justifies this invasion of privacy as a necessary precaution to protect you
Luther establishes strict traditions in your relationship, like weekly date nights or annual trips, which you must follow
These traditions create a sense of routine and stability but also limit your autonomy
Luther pushes you to integrate deeply with his family, encouraging you to spend more time with his siblings and less with your own family and friends
This isolates you from your support network and makes you more dependent on him
Luther is obsessed with monitoring your health, from your diet to your exercise routine
He insists on accompanying you to doctorâs appointments and making decisions about your healthcare
When youâre apart, Luther floods you with messages and calls, demanding constant updates on your whereabouts and activities
This makes it difficult for you to have any personal space or privacy
Luther uses his own emotions to guilt you into compliance
If you try to assert your independence or express dissatisfaction, he reacts with hurt and disappointment, making you feel responsible for his feelings
Luther demands your loyalty and commitment without providing the same in return
He expects you to prioritize him above all else, even if it means sacrificing your own needs and desires

Diego Hargreeves
Diego is always armed and ready to âprotectâ you from any slight inconvenience or perceived threat
He believes that being physically prepared is the best way to keep you safe, and his protective instincts can be overwhelming

He conducts surprise safety drills to prepare you for âemergenciesâ
Diego might suddenly stage a mock attack or evacuation, expecting you to react quickly and correctly
Diego turns dates into elaborate missions, incorporating elements of danger and excitement
While he sees this as a way to bond, it often puts you in stressful and uncomfortable situations
He insists on checking the perimeter of any place you go together, whether itâs a restaurant, park, or even your own home
Diegoâs need to secure every environment can be exhausting and intrusive
Diego challenges those who he thinks are getting too close to you

Diego sees these gifts as practical and necessary, though they might make you uncomfortable
Diego enlists friends to watch over you without your knowledge
He creates a network of people who report back to him about your activities and interactions, making it hard for you to have any privacy

His constant vigilance can make you feel suffocated
He keeps a detailed journal of your daily activities, noting where you go and who you meet
Diegoâs meticulous tracking is framed as a way to ensure your safety, but it feels more like surveillance
Diego enforces strict boundaries on who can interact with you, often forbidding you from seeing certain friends or family members
He believes that by controlling your social circle, he can better protect you

While the dog provides companionship, it also serves as another means of control and surveillance
He sabotages your tech so you can only rely on him
Diego might interfere with your phone, computer, or internet connection, making it difficult for you to communicate or seek help
Diego insists on accompanying you everywhere as a bodyguard, even to mundane places like the grocery store
His constant presence is meant to ensure your safety but also limits your freedom
He follows you in disguise to avoid detection
Diego goes to great lengths to remain hidden while keeping an eye on you, often lurking in the background of your daily life
Diego dictates where and when you can go out, planning all your outings to fit his schedule and ensure your safety
This limits your spontaneity and ability to make independent decisions

Friends | Five H. x male!reader | Part 1!
Five Hargreeves x male reader
SPOILER WARNING FOR SEASON 4 UNDER CUT!!!!!
Summary: Five, after gaining a job at the CIA, has found himself falling in love with his coworker, for whom which he both hates and admires. But after his brother gets kidnapped, Five has to resort to, for the first time in 50 years, trusting someone other than his family to help him. THIS IS KIND OF LONG SO BEAR WITH ME.
Warnings: fluff?, Cursing, mention of gun, frenemies SPOILERS FOR SEASON 4 âŒïž
A/n: I just really hated the whole relationship between Five and Lila, so Iâm erasing it, erasing their 7 years together, and making an ACTUAL uninvolved and un-family love interest for Five. This is also based off of the fact that Steve Blackman said he wanted to give Five a love interest whether it be a guy or a girl. I AM NOW A HEAVY BISEXUAL FIVE BELIEVER.
Part 2
âą âą âą âą âą
Itâs been 5 years since Five and his family reset the universe and brought about this new timeline. 5 years of trying to make his life worth living and actually trying to enjoy the peacefulness of this new life. But he couldnât help but feel like something was missing. Something that he needed in order to keep him stable or at least just keep him from losing it. Maybe that something was actually a someoneâŠ.
He always hated the thought of being completely alone. Ever since the apocalypse, losing his family and people that he loved or cared about was his number one fear. He didnât want to ever be alone again.
In his new job with the CIA, heâs been able to observe and oversee what things could attempt to hurt those people that he cares about. Helped him have control over his life for once.
The only downside of the job was having to deal with stubborn coworkers and the terrible work hours. However, there was one person in particular that he was thinking of.
Y/n. He was a royal pain in the ass to Five. He was a talkative person. Always wanting to know how Fiveâs day was, always asking about his cases. And when Five would interact with him, he would sometimes leave mid conversation just to piss him off.
He thrived off making him annoyed, like it was his reason for being there in the first place.
And although Five would never admit it, but Y/n did have some redeemable qualities.
He was intelligent. One of the most intelligent people Five knew, all things considered. In his eyes, he was smart and knowledgable when it came to his job, he took it seriously, but in other cases he would always act rather stupid.
Another thing, that Five again would never admit to others or himself, was that Y/n was undeniably hot. And Five was honestly somewhat attracted to him because of that.
Not attracted to him in the way where he wanted to be with him, noâŠ
Never in the way where he wanted to have a life with himâŠ
Get Past being coworkers and actually learn more about himâŠ
Have longer conversation rather than the short and sweet ones that they already hadâŠ
No, not in those ways at all.
When it came to work, Five would always try to find a way to swerve around him, try not to get caught up in whatever stupid conversation he wanted to have with him. But when he did get caught up, there would be times where he would leave an implicit comment and then rush off, ending their conversation.
Despite interacting with him, Five preferred to work alone in the office. Allowed him to know everything that he needed to know without having to ask anyone, or communicate with anyoneâŠunless it was his boss, Lance, whose office he was currently sitting in.
Lance sat in his chair, staring at the âteenâ for a bit before speaking.
âHow are you handling your job? You enjoying the experience?â
âYes, sir, Iâm very grateful for this job and I intend to do everything I can to be efficient and productive with it.â Five answered, his fingers pinching the skin of his fingers as he watches his every movement, not understanding why he was here in the first place.
âMm, I like to hear that. You can send him in,â Lance says to his assistant, who quickly nods sending in the man himself, Y/n.
âYou summoned me, boss?â He asked, glancing at Five for a quick second as his eyebrows twitch up at the sight of him.
âYes, I did. Because I have taken it upon myself to assign you two as partners,â he points to both of them.
âWhat?â âCome again?â The pair say, both now standing as they look at each other.
âWith all due respect, sir, I donât think Five and I would make good partners-â
âThatâs exactly the reason Iâm doing it. Look,â Y/n and Five both sit back down.
âI know you two donât like each other that much, maybe even at all, but Iâve seen you, Five, you donât talk to anyone else in the office. And Y/n, you talk to everyone in this office-in this building really, and you rarely talk to him. I think with this opportunity, you two can actually get along and succeed in working with each other. And, maybe this will take your mind away from the Keeper case,â he says to Five, who leans back into his seat, a deep sigh emitting from him.
Y/n groans quietly, slumping into his chair. Five rolls his eyes at him, making Lance speak up again.
âIâll make a deal with you two,â they perk up, âsolve one case together and maybe Iâll reconsider allowing you two to work separately again, all right?â Y/n looks at Five, who does the same, and they both nod.
âGood, now leave,â the assistant opens the door for the two, allowing(forcing) them to leave.
Y/n sighs, âdo you have any open and easy to solve cases?â
âOh a shit ton, but Iâm not gonna let you get in the way of my job,â Five spits, Y/n now looking at him with an unamused face.
âWell, thatâs good, because I wonât let you get in the way of mine, either.â With that, the two walk out of the building, heading in separate directions from each other.
âą âą âą âą âą
Weeks had gone by since then, and they still had not solved one case together. They attempted to lie and have one of them solve a case and the other also have credit, but that ended up backfiring because they didnât get their processes of working on it completely in sync with one another. There were details either missing or added in each other their reports. Granted the case was solved, but not for their own benefit.
Y/n was starting to grow annoyed, wanting nothing more than to go back to how things were. Where Five was just a simple guy in the office that he would annoy just for the hell of it, and there wouldnât be any consequences to their work ethic and values.
Later that night, however, Y/n got a call.
âWhat? What is it?â He answers, groggy from the fact that he just woke up.
âHey, I need your help,â the person on the other line says, seeming like he struggled to get that out.
âWha-Five?â He looks over at the clock on the wall, âwhy the hell are you calling me at 12 in the morning?â
âJust-I need you to help me, okay? My brotherâs been kidnapped andâŠâ he sighs, his siblings listening at him talk to the unknown person.
âIt would be nice to have some backup,â Y/n grins, already getting up to get dressed.
âAw, Five, I never knew you had it in you to actually ask for hel-â
âAre you going to or not?â
âOkay, okay, fine, yes, Iâll help, where do you want me to meet you?â
âI think itâll just be easier if I-â
âYOUâRE NOT DRIVING WANDA!â
â-If we pick you up. Jesus, Diego,â Y/n pulled the phone away from his ear as he heard someone yell, he assumed it was one of the many siblings Five had told him about.
âOkay, Iâll meet you in..five minutes?â
âMake it three.â The phone goes silent as Y/n grabs his gun and his badge, making sure it was loaded before heading down the stairs to his apartment building.
The family picks him up, in what he learned to be Wanda, and they head to the laundry mat.
There, him and Five go in front of the group as they hold their guns and a flashlight in front of them, checking in every area to make sure that they are safe and not at risk of getting hurt.
When they see Viktor, heâs loosely tied to a chair and not even looking as if heâs in pain.
Five helps his brother as Y/n makes sure his gun is still up, making sure Fiveâs family and him are safe.
A man then appears from the back, shakily holding a gun as he asks for their help.
Y/n eventually drops his hands and puts away his gone when he realizes that the man was asking for help to find his daughter, Jennifer.
After some explaining, Five tells the man that heâll get her back to him in at least 24 hours.
âFive, what the hell, why are we helping that guy, what if heâs lying? And what the fuck is the âUmbrella Academyâ?â Y/n had a million thoughts racing through his head after that conversation.
They werenât stopped, in fact they grew into ones of more confusion as Five responded to him, and his siblings confusion, by holding up a jar of glowing particles.
They all ended up in an asian restaurant, watching the man entertain them with knife tricks.
âSo, what? You guys all used to have powers?â Five nods.
âAnd now you donât because your dad, whoâs an alien, reset the universe and made this timeline?â
âLook, I know itâs hard to understand, and I would prove it to you if I could, but-â
âWell, you can prove it to him, Five, with this!â Ben holds up the Marigold as Five quickly shuts him down.
They all argue and banter as they all, except Ben, agree to not regain their powers.
Ben then heads to the bathroom and Y/n drinks a shot of whatever liquor they had there.
âLook, maybe this can be the case that we solve together? And then you donât have to see me working with you again, hm?â Five proposes, making Y/n tilt his head to the side, agreeing with him, for once.
Ben returns and they all have shots, including Y/n who was just about to leave.
âAlright, Iâm leaving,â Y/n stands up and starts to leave.
Five looks at him and then back at his siblings.
âIâm gonna walk him out,â he follows Y/n, silently walking as they head outside.
âMy apartmentâs not too far from here, so you donât have to drive me. But, Iâll, uh, follow up with you tomorrow I guess,â he chuckles, looking at Five for a second longer than he meant to.
âYeah, IâllâŠsee you tomorrow,â they stare at each other, their bodies starting to take control as they go closer to one another with each moment of silence.
They step back once they hear the rest of Fiveâs siblings come outside.
âUh-bye,â Five rushes off, hopping in the van as he silently curses at himself.
âWhat are you doing? You hate himâŠright?â Five thinks, staring at the back of his head.
He watches as the guy heâs started to hate walks away, unknowingly getting wrapped up in whatever crazy family shenanigans are about to happen.
âą âą âą âą âą
A/n: I kinda fuck with where this is going, so if you guys liked this, let me know!

Anti-Hero
Warnings: tua season 1 spoilers, mentions of killing and death, cursing, mentions of drugs, mentions of heart attacks, drinking, let me know if I missed any :)
Pairings: Hargreeves siblings x sister reader
*not my gif*
Summary: When you left, all of your siblings hated you, and now you were facing them once more
A/N: Welcome to book placeâs one year event!!
Inspired by: Anti-Hero by Taylor Swift
Please donât plagiarize my work, you may reblog if you like but Iâm asking that you donât steal my hard work
I have this thing where I get older but just never wiser
You let loose a long breath and glanced hesitantly up to the tall, menacing building before you. The building of your childhood, if you could even call it that.
To be completely honest, you didnât even know why you had come back. You hated your father and your siblings hated you, so why would you show up to the manâs funeral, when they would all be there?
As much as you wanted to turn back around and hail another cab to get you as far away from this place as possible, you put on a brave face and pushed the door open, stepping into the vast entryway.
Barely three small steps had been taken inside by you when you froze at the sound of your name being called.
âY/n,â Allison had her lips parted slightly in shock from where she and Vanya stood at the end of the hall.
You swallowed thickly, âHey, guys,â You greeted in a voice that was barely even audible to yourself. You toyed with the ends of your gloves nervously.
âOh, um,â Allison cleared her throat and strode across the room to see you, stopping a healthy three feet away, âItâs so good to see you, Y/n.â
The words were forced, and you knew it, but you gave her a tight lipped smile and a nod anyway.
âYeah, same here, Y/n!â Vanya called, and you knew in that moment that after everything, she must have been almost as uncomfortable with being here as you were.
If your original gut instinct wasnât any indication before, then this interaction told you everything about how this visit would go.
The sight of Diego crossing to the staircase caught all of your attention and he snapped something about Vanya not being welcome back before his eyes snapped over to you.
âY/n,â He spoke in an awkward greeting before skirting past the three of you and clambering up the stairs.
Not only did your siblings hate you, but you just got confirmation that they were also still scared of you. After all these years, when they had grown up beside you and learned how to deal with your âgiftâ, and yet, they were still wary of what you could and possibly would do.
Midnights become my afternoons
You sat on the windowsill in the attic, legs dangling out the window as you looked up at the moon and stars.
âI figured that I would find you up here, Miss. Y/n.â You heard a voice sound behind you.
Unconsciously, you smiled and turned around, âPogo,â You greeted kindly.
His smile was something that hadnât changed a bit over the years, âIt is so good to see you.â He said genuinely, walking over until he could grasp your gloved hand and squeeze it gently.
He had always been the only one who wasnât afraid of you. Of what touching you could do to them. Of how painful their deaths would be if they laid a single finger on your bare skin. How without meaning to, you would slowly and excruciatingly kill them.
Thatâs why you wore gloves and long sleeves at all times, so that no one would unintentionally be hurt by you.
âItâs late,â You hummed when you pulled away, âWhat are you doing up?â
âWhy, I came up here to ask you the same question.â He mused.
You shrugged nonchalantly, leaning your back against the wall, âI donât usually go to sleep until really early in the morning.â You informed him.
âWell, that canât be healthy.â
You laughed loudly, the first time youâd done so in what felt like many months, âItâs probably not.â You agreed once you sobered up.
Too busy looking back out the window, you failed to notice Pogo glance behind him and give a hidden figure a single nod of reassurance.
The only thing that brought your attention back to him was once he gave you a slight pat on your clothed knee, âI am always available if you wish to speak about anything.â
You smiled genuinely, âThank you, Pogo.â
âHey, n/n.â
Your head snapped up at the sound of a new voice that spoke as soon as Pogo had left.
âDiego,â You breathed out.
âListen,â He cleared his throat awkwardly as he shuffled into view, coming to a stop right in front of you- less than a healthy distance away, âIâm sorry about earlier. I just didnât think you were actually gonna show.â
You smiled tightly, pulling your knees up to your chest, âYeah, that makes two of us.â
He sighed, dropping down into a crouch before you and looking up into your eyes, âI know none of us left off on a good foot- especially with you- but I want you to know that Iâm sorry. For everything.â
Your chest tightened at his words. After all these years of thinking every last one of your siblings despised you for who you were- what you could do- you never thought one of your brothers would be telling you that he didnât actually hate you at all.
âT-thank you, Diego.â You choked out, eyes filling with tears, âThat means a lot.â
When my depression works the graveyard shift
Your eyebrows furrowed as you took tentative steps towards your fathers old office, the one that was supposed to be vacant now that he was dead.
The clattering of objects only got louder the closer you got, and it was making you nervous. Perhaps someone had broken in when they heard that the billionaire was dead? The last thing you wanted was to have to resort to using your powers, because you doubted any of your other siblings would come to your aid. Expect of course, maybe Diego.
âHello?â You called out slowly when you stepped into the room. At the sound of your voice, a head popped up from behind your fathers old desk with a wide grin, and you couldnât help but relax slightly, âKlaus.â You breathed out.
âN/n!â Your brother squealed, jumping up the rest of the way and scrambling over to you with outstretched arms.
Alarmed, you took a sudden step back, and he stopped short when he noticed.
âOh!â He giggled, placing a hand near his mouth, âI forgot about the whole no touchie thing!â
âWhat are you doing in here?â Your eyes shone in curiosity, pushing down the thoughts that threatened to swarm your mind about Klausâs first instinct being to hug you.
âYou know,â He waved a dismissive hand, âJust getting ahead on my inheritance.â
Despite yourself, your lips twitched upward slightly at the words, âReally?â You asked in slight amusement.
The manâs jaw dropped open and he stared at you with wide eyes, âWas-was that a smile I just saw? Gosh, my memories from when we were kids consisted of you being completely stone-face.â He let out a shrill giggle again, âThough, I suppose Iâm now the one thatâs stoned!â
Whatever form of a smile had adorned your face immediately fell and you crossed your arms tightly over your stomach.
All of the people I've ghosted stand there in the room
This was terrible.
The silence was painful to sit through. You must have looked like you had an itch with the way you were shifting back and forth on the couch you stiffly sat on beside Vanya.
Nobody was making eye contact with one another, it was just all of you- once siblings, now complete strangers- sitting in a tense circle in your childhood living room.
Finally, Luther cleared his throat and pushed himself off of the couch that was directly across from you, âSo, I guess we should get started.â Everyoneâs eyes snapped over to the man that had grown more than a little bit over time, âSo, I figured we could have a sort of memorial service in the courtyard at sundown. Say a few words, just at Dad's favorite spot.â He spoke awkwardly.
âDad had a favorite spot?â Allisonâs eyebrows had shot up alongside yours in surprise.
Lutherâs own eyebrows furrowed, âYou know, under the oak tree. We used to sit out there all the time.â He looked around for anyone to agree with him, only to be met with bewildered looks, âNone of you ever did that?â
You shook your head softly, looking down at your hands that fiddled with one another from where they rested in your lap.
Klaus strolled over and began talking loudly, and you sat back and watched silently as everyone went back and forth a little bit.
âListen up,â Luther tried to reign the family in once more when they got off track, âStill some important things that we need to discuss, all right?â
âLike what?â Diego asked with a roll of his eyes from where he was leaning against a pillar near the fireplace.
âLike the way he died.â
Your eyes widened and your mouth dropped open a little as you looked at him, everyone else adorning similar looks.
âI don't understand. I thought they said it was a heart attack.â Vanya piped up in confusion.
âYeah, according to the coroner.â
âWell, wouldn't they know?â
âTheoretically.â It was clear that Luther was beginning to realize that he had made a mistake by bringing this all up.
âTheoretically?â It was the first time you had spoken up, and you felt a couple of the others glance at you as you did so.
Yet again, your siblings began to bicker back and forth, and you sank lower into the couch cushions, not at all liking the way their voices raised more and more by the minute.
âOh, isn't it obvious, Klaus? He thinks one of us killed Dad.â Diegoâs voice snapped you harshly back to the present and a dangerous silence overcame the entire room again.
You looked up at Luther in disturbance, only to find him already staring down at you. And all at once, you felt your mouth go dry and your throat begin to close up slightly, âYou donât actually think-â
All around you, your siblings caught onto what Luther was really indicating and they adopted looks of shock. Diego let out a low whistle, âThatâs messed up, man.â
âLook,â Number one stressed, âIâm just saying, according to the corner, there was nothing wrong with him. With your powers- you could painfully kill a person without showing a mark.â
You hadnât even realized when you had stood up, but flinched back violently, as if struck, âYou think I would kill him?â You whispered with tears forming in your eyes against your will.
Allison pursed her lips and averted her gaze when you desperately looked around for help, making you realize that she was uncertain as well.
âWow,â You breathed out tearfully, shaking your head back and forth softly before shuffling out of the room.
âY/n, wait-â
âGood job, Luther.â Diego scoffed and hit his shoulder against his brothers as he trailed after you, âWay to lead.â
I should not be left to my own devices
Somehow, not too long after leaving the living room, you ended up in the courtyard surrounded by your sibling, gazing up with wide eyes at something floating in the sky.
âWhat is it?â
âDonât get too close!â Allison called, moving to place her arm in front of you and Vanya, who had your mouths dropped open and took unconscious steps forward.
âYeah, no shit!â Diego yelled back over the wind, eyes glared against the harsh wind whipping straight at all of you.
Per usual, everyone kept shouting back and forth at one another about what to do, and in doing so, Allison dropped her arm and you were able to slowly creep forward.
Just then, someone fell out of the thing in the sky, landing in a heap right in front of your feet, but everyone was too busy glaring at each other to notice.
âGuysâŠâ You called back cautiously, âDoes anyone else see little Number Five, or is that just me?â
They come with prices and vices
You sat on the stairs with your head in your hands, still trying to wrap your mind around everything.
At the beginning of the day, you had come back home expecting to say your goodbyes and possibly even make peace with your father. But now, your long lost brother is back, and not only that, but he claims to have been way older than any of you, whilst being stuck in the body of his thirteen year old self.
âHey, n/n,â Said brother greeted, strolling over to where you sat with one hand in his pocket and the other holding a sandwich.
You linked your fingers behind your head and tried to smile at him, but you had no doubt that it came out as a grimace, âFive.â You greeted.
Before his disappearance, Five had been the only one who truly was never afraid of you. Even if Diego claimed not to be now, you knew he was still slightly wary, and with good reason too.
âI take it things didnât go well after I left?â He asked, plopping down onto the stairs beside you.
A small chuckle left your lips at his bluntness. Same old Five.
âNo,â You agreed, âThey never stopped being scared of me. And I never stopped being scared of myself.â You admitted.
He had always been the only one you could tell everything to about yourself without the fear of judgment.
The two of you fell into a silence that consisted of him munching on his sandwich thoughtfully, âYou know,â Five spoke up once he had polished it off, âI think the others have always been more intimidated by you than anything.â
Your eyebrows went up, âHow so?â You never really saw yourself as an intimidating individual.
âBecause youâre so much more powerful than we all are⊠and the old man knew that.â He stood up and gave you a tight lipped smile, patting you once on your clothed shoulder and disappearing up the stairs, leaving you to dwell in your thoughts.
I end up in crisis (tale as old as time)
Allison placed a finger over her mouth to signal for you and Vanya to stay silent from where your backs were pressed up against a wall opposite of her.
A large figure in a mask came creeping through the door that you stood on either side of with a large gun resting in his grip, making your heart tighten.
Right on cue, your sister lunged out, kneeing him in the stomach and punching him in the face the second he doubled over in pain.
Quickly, you ushered Vanya out of the room and made sure she was a safe distance away before spinning on your heel to face Allison and the man, the two now throwing punches at one another with the gun discarded to the side.
Without hesitation, you dove at the man and jumped onto his back, throwing him off balance and sending him to the ground.
When he fell, Allison reeled her foot back and sent it straight into his head, effectively knocking him out cold.
For a moment, the two of you just stood there, panting and trying to catch your breaths.
âYou know, Y/n,â She spoke up, surprising you, âI donât actually think you killed dad. I would never think that of you. I was just in shock that Luther would say such a thing that I didnât know how to react. A-and Iâm sorry for not saying anything when he accused you and I know I should have-â
âAllison.â You cut her off gently, âItâs okay.â
She visibly relaxed as if a weight had been taken off of her shoulders, âAnd listen, I know you think we all hate you,â She took a step forward and slowly placed a hand on your shoulder, eyes searching yours for any sign that you were uncomfortable with the close proximity. âBut we donât, I promise you we donât. You were just always isolated from us by dad- and Iâm not saying it isnât partially our fault- because it is, but weâre not kids anymore so thereâs no excuse for how we acted. Iâm sorry.â
First Diego with the apologies, Klaus acting like everything was normal, and then Allison. You couldnât believe that your siblings were actually trying to make up with you.
Similarly to how when your brother first talked to you like this, tears began to form in your eyes and you smiled up at her, âT-thank you, Allison. That- that means a lot.â
She shook her head gently, âIâm just sorry that it took so long for me to be able to say it.â
I wake up screaming from dreaming
You gasped, shooting upright with heavy pants as you tried to regain your breathing and keep it under control.
You have been through this routine enough times to know what to do so well that itâs almost like second nature to you at this point.
âY-Y/n?â
Your head snapped up at the sound of Vanya's voice. She stood in the slightly opened doorway of your childhood room, where you had just been sleeping.
âVanya,â You breathed out, leaning your back against your headboard, âWhatâs up?â You swallowed thickly and tried to seem as normal as possible.
The woman hesitated, âI⊠I left something here so I came back for it but I heard a screamâŠâ
You let a breath loose and allowed your head to fall back, âSorry,â You apologized in a whisper.
She shook her head back and forth vigorously, âNo, no, itâs not your fault. I get it⊠I get nightmares tooâŠâ
You lulled your head to the side and looked at her, âYeah?â
She nodded, hesitantly shuffling into the room before slowly sitting down on the end of your bed when you moved your feet for her.
âDo you wanna talk about it?â She asked gently.
It was then your turn to shake your head, âNo, no, itâs nothing I canât handle- nothing Iâm not used to.â You reassured.
âWell⊠Iâm here if you ever need anything.â
You smiled softly, âThank you, Vanya.â
One day I'll watch as you're leaving
âFive?â You looked up from your plate filled to the brim with breakfast foods your mother had cooked for you as you watched your brother swiftly walk by, âWhatâs going on?â
âI need to run an errand.â He answered curtly, âIâll be back soon.â
Anxiety began to set in the pit of your stomach, âO-oh, do you want me to come with you?â
He quickly shook his head back and forth, âThereâs no need, it could be dangerous.â
That made the fear double inside of you, âAre you sure you have to go?â You saw him freeze in his steps when he heard the worry seeping through your tone.
He sighed softly and turned around to face you, âItâll be fine, Iâll be back soon. I promise.â
You gnawed on your bottom lip, âItâs just⊠you didnât come back once. Whatâs to say it wonât happen again?â
âMe.â He reassured you, âI say that it wonât happen again. I wonât let it. I promise.â
With that, he gave you one last of his rare smiles and continued out of the kitchen.
'Cause you got tired of my scheming (For the last time)
âOh, sorry,â You mumbled, eyes immediately turning downwards the second you entered the living room, âI didnât realize anyone was in here-â
âY/n.â Luther immediately shot up from where he had been sitting on the couch, âNo, Iâm glad youâre here.â Your quick steps to exit the room paused, âWe should talk.â He cleared his throat.
You eyed him hesitantly, âAbout what?â
âIâm sorry for saying that you killed dad!â He blurted out, cheeks turning red as he spoke, âItâs- itâs just that I was so upset and I didnât know what really happened so I was creating scenarios that I didnât even want to come true and-â He stopped himself and took a deep breath to calm down, âAnd I know that itâs not an excuse, but Iâm still very sorry for saying that you would ever be capable of something like that.â
You stayed silent for a moment before slowly nodding your head, âItâs okay,â You said softly, âI forgive you.â
âReally?â He sighed in relief, âGood, because I was scared for a moment there because I was acting like such an ass and-â
âLuther.â You tried to push away the small smile that threatened to grace your face, âI already said itâs fine, just leave it.â
It's me, hi, I'm the problem, it's me
âWeâre like outcast buddies!â
You looked over at Klaus with a raised eyebrow at his words.
The two of you sat on the stools near the bar in your living room, sipping on some concoction of alcohol that was no doubt older than both of you combined and would have given your father a heart attack at seeing if he was still alive.
âIâm pretty sure all of our siblings are outcasts.â You reminded him.
He sat there, pondering your words for a moment before signing and swirling his straw in his drink, âNo, no, I suppose youâre right.â He frowned a little bit and slumped his shoulders slightly.
âDo you⊠want to be outcast buddies?â You asked hesitantly, eyeing your brother.
Immediately, he perked up with a large grin, âYes! Yes! Yes!â He shrieked, âWe can start a club! We can print t-shirts! We can invite new members-â
You chuckled, sitting back and watching in amusement as your brother got excited over seemingly nothing.
At tea time, everybody agrees
âThanks for the food, mom, it looks delicious.â You said sincerely.
The woman smiled softly and reached over to cup your cheek, and you immediately leaned further into the touch. Because she wasnât actually human, she could touch you without consequence. And though you knew it wasnât the same as if another person touched you, you still took what you could get because it was all that you would get, even if it wasnât real.
âOf course, sweetie.â She answered with that wide, kind smile of hers gently removing her hand after a moment and leaning down to place a ghost kiss on your forehead, making your eyelids flutter shut.
I'll stare directly at the sun but never in the mirror
âItâs really weird to look at, isnât it?â Five asked, walking up and standing beside you, gazing up at the wall.
It was a portrait of you and all your siblings, before Fives disappearance and Benâs death, hanging in some random of the many hallways of the home.
âIt is.â You agreed with a sigh, eyes taking it all in.
The way Five was the only one standing even remotely close to you in the painting didnât escape your attention. Nor did the way everyone but him seemed to have their bodies angled away from you just slightly.
You forced yourself to tear your eyes away and you cleared your throat, âDo you ever wonder what it would be like if we never had these powers?â You asked suddenly.
It had been a thought that had been eating away at you since you were at least seven, never having been voiced out loud by you.
âI try not to dwell on it,â Your brother admitted, ââCause thereâs nothing we can do to change it.â
Despite his words, you allowed yourself, just for a moment, to picture what it would be like. To be able to hug people and shake hands without them having to worry for their life. To not be the scariest, most deadly person in any room you stood in.
It must be exhausting always rooting for the anti-hero
All around you, walls were crumbling down and falling every which way. Each small piece of flying debris threatening to hit you.
Not so gracefully, you stumbled through the shaking building, blindly grasping onto the walls for support as you watched in horror as the house came apart all around you for reasons unknown to you.
âY/n!â You whipped around at the sound of Luther, Allison, and Diego each calling your name and you began sprinting in their direction at the opposite end of the hall.
They each took a large step back when you neared though, causing you to pause, despite the fact that you needed to push on so that you didnât get hit.
âWhat is it? Whatâs happening to-â You began asking anxiously
âWhat did you do?â Lutherâs words and tone of horror made the rest of your sentence die in your throat.
âHow could you do something like this?â Allison whispered, and despite all the chaos, you somehow were still able to hear her. Her eyes shone with betrayal.
âWhat?â Your eyebrows furrowed, âWhat are you talking about?â
âDad always said that you only reached the tip of the iceberg with your powers.â Diego was glaring at you coldly in a way that made even your heart freeze, âBut I never thought you could be capable of something like this.â
âWhat-â
âYour powers are to destroy.â Luther hissed venomously, âYou can kill everything around you, so why canât you demolish everything in your path as well with just the touch of your bare fingers?â
Your lungs felt like they were collapsing in on themselves, much like the walls around you, âI would never- I canât even-â
âI can't believe we trusted you.â Allison shook her head and slowly began backing away once more, âWeâll never make that mistake again.â
The other two trailed after her once they threw more harsh glares your way, not even caring as you sank down to your knees in shock, oblivious to the house that was still caving in on itself all around you.
You had nothing to do with this, you had no idea what was happening. How could they think that you did? After everything, all the progress you all made?
Your suspicions that you had first stepped into this house what felt like years ago- when it had only, in reality, been days- were true.
Your siblings truly did hate you.

LIFT ME UP: KLAUS HARGREEVES X BLACK PLUS SIZE READER
SUMMARY: When everyone else had given up on him you were there, always willing to pick up the pieces and put him back together again, no matter how many times he fell apart.
Warning: Mentions of drug use, mentions of abuse and trauma, mentions of withdrawal. 18+ only, read at your own risk. Minors DO NOT INTERACT!
Note: Season 1 & 3 Klaus. Also the relationship between him and the reader is completely platonic.
Flashback
You wiped your hands off on your apron, grabbing the empty cardboard boxes and tin cans, heading out the backdoor toward the dumpster.
"Ouch!" A voice yelped from inside as you threw the trash into the bin.
"Oh my god is someone in there?" You stood on your tippy toes peeking inside.
"Don't mind me just fetching dinner." A man popped his head out.
"Well you don't have to dig through the trash for scraps, come inside and i'll cook you a meal, on the house." You gave him a gentle smile extending your hand for him to take.
His eyes lit up and he gladly accepted it, jumping out of the dumpster with your assistance and dusting off his skirt.
"What's your name?" You looked back at him now getting a good look at his face and attire.
He had a head full of messy brown hair, black eyeliner smudged around his light green eyes and he wore a black leather jacket with no shirt underneath, definitely not an appropriate outfit for the cold rainy weather outside.
"Klaus, yours?" He asked walking over to the island inside the small dinner, plopping down on one of the stools.
"Y/n." You answered as you whisked a bowl of eggs.
"Wanna tell me why you're dumpster diving for food?" You quirked a brow sliding him his plate and a fork.
"Long story dear, wouldn't want to bore you." He waved a hand dismissively, stuffing his mouth with pancakes.
"I've got all day." You shrugged.
He went into detail about his odd family dynamic, his experience with his powers and training growing up and how we dealt with it in his adulthood, using every drug under the sun to quiet the spirits, bouncing in and out of rehab.
âYou got a place to sleep tonight?â You asked.
âNot any that i can think of at the moment but iâm sure thereâs a nice cardboard box in a dark alley calling my name, though i usually prefer a tent, extra coverage and all you know.â He sighed popping a piece of bacon in his mouth.
âStay with me.â You offered.
âWhat?â He sat up straight.
âStay with me, i have a pullout couch in my living room, you can sleep there.â You insisted.
He smiled brightly planting a wet kiss on your cheek.
You had gotten used to him coming and going, thatâs just how Klaus was, he could never sit still. Every other week heâd stumbled into your apartment either high out of his mind or suffering from withdrawals, whichever condition he was in you did your best to come to his aid, patching up his bumps and bruises, making sure he was well fed, dressing him in clean clothes to wear before he vanished again.
Dealing with an addict was no walk in the park, it was exhausting, emotionally draining, a roller coaster of emotions actually but you did your best to be patient with him. He had dealt with a lot in his childhood, he still dealt with a lot and you didnât want to give up on him, you couldnât. Youâd grown to care for him a lot over the past few months and youâd never be able to live with yourself if something happened to him, no matter how stubborn he could be, no matter how reckless the decisions he made were youâd never turn you back on him and you made sure that he knew he always had a home to come back to as long as you were around.
One night the sound of glass shattering made you jolt awake.
You stumbled to the kitchen, still half asleep, eyes adjusting to the bright lights.
Klaus was on the floor with his knees pulled to his chest, sobbing and rocking back and forth, attempting to self soothe.
You stepped over the glass shards, crouching down in front of him and pulling him to his feet.
You led him to the couch, laying him down and sitting beside him.
âIâm sorry i- i just wanted something to drink.â He spoke between sobs, resting his head on your lap.
âHey, hey, itâs alright. Iâll clean up the mess and get you something to drink okay?â You whispered.
He nodded his head, sitting up so you could go to the kitchen.
You quickly discarded the broken glass and grabbed a new cup, pouring him some cold water.
He chugged it, placing the empty cup on the coffee table and snuggling into your side, face buried in your plush stomach.
âAre they loud?â You asked petting his hair.
You knew how unbearable the spirits could be, their shouting overwhelming his senses.
âYes, always.â He sniffled.
âTry to focus on the sound of my voice. Iâll do my best to help you drown them out.â You grabbed his chin lifting his face, wiping a few stray tears.
You began singing an old lullaby that your grandmother used to sing to you when you were little, it knocked you out cold every single time.
You felt Klaus relax against you, sighing in relief as your voice filled his ears. You were no Beyonce but you helped soothe him nonetheless.
You kissed the top of his head as he drifted off to sleep, draping a blanket over the two of you.
That was the last time you saw him.
Present
Klaus sighed in relief as he stood in front of hotel oblivion, after what felt like years of turmoil in the 60s they were finally back to the future (pun intended), and he couldnât be happier.
He leaned against the bar, sipping his whisky as his siblings bickered with each other, only half listening.
His mind kept drifting to you, someone he missed most while he was stuck in the 60âs.
All those nights you held him close, cradled him like a newborn baby as he broke down on your couch.
All those times you looked into alternatives to drugs to help him quiet the spirits, suggesting meditation or yoga, something relaxing to help him focus in order to make them go away whenever he pleased, turn them on and off like a light switch.
Whenever he hit rock bottom you didnât hesitate to pick him up, to catch him when he fell.
He knew he had to find you.
âHey where are you going? Nowâs not the time to be splitting up Klaus!â Allison called after him.
He ignored her, mentally mapping out the way to your apartment.
âLet him be.â Vicktor grabbed her wrist just before she could chase him.
She deflated downing the rest of her drink.
Klaus stood across the street from your apartment building taking deep breaths, he laughed at his own anxiety. Was he really that nervous to face you again?
His eyes drifted to a girl walking down the sidewalk, arms full of grocery bags.
His breath caught in his throat as he studied her facial features.
It was you.
He practically sprinted across the street placing a hand on your shoulder once he reached you.
âAHH I DONT HAVE ANY MONEY.â You shouted dropping a few bags as you whipped around.
âKlaus?â Your eyes widened in surprise.
âIn the fle- oh!â The wind was knocked out of him as you smothered him in a hug.
âYouâre here, youâre alive.â You held his face in your hands, tears brimming your eyes.
âIâm alive.â He chuckled relaxing in your hold.
He helped you gather up your groceries, taking them upstairs to your apartment.
You insisted that he stay for dinner, chatting and catching up as you prepped the food.
âYou started a cult?â You stared at him in disbelief.
âIt was the 60s babe, everyone did.â He shrugged.
You snorted tossing the onions into the searing hot pan.
You stirred them around with your spoon, pausing for a moment.
âYou look better⊠healthy. Iâm glad.â You turned, smiling softly at him.
âMe too, me too.â He smiled as well.
For a moment he forgot all his worries, forgot about the events of the 60s, forgot about the sparrows, the apocalypse, everything. He was content with watching the world burn as long as he was here, with you, his solace.
A/N - I feel like iâve been writing so much smut lately and i really wanted a change of pace, iâve also been planning on expanding my master list and writing for some other fandoms im apart of. I absolutely adore Klaus and i really enjoyed writing this. Since Steve Blackman didnât give his character the love and support he so desperately needed and deserved i will. This has not been proofread so please excuse any mistakes, i will fix them later. I hope you guys like this! đ»

Clueless
Five Hargreeves x Fem!reader
Warnings: none
Y/n sat on the couch, nervously biting her lip as she watched Five Hargreeves meticulously go over his latest plans on the coffee table. She had been in love with Five for a while now, but he seemed completely unaware of her feelings. She decided to be brave and make her interest a bit more obvious.
âHey, Five,â Y/n said, trying to sound casual. âNeed a break? I was thinking of making some coffee. I know how much you love it.â
Five looked up from his maps, his expression serious. âCoffee? Sure, that sounds good. Thanks, Y/n.â
Y/n smiled, though she couldnât help but feel a little deflated. Is he really this dense, or is he just pretending? She sighed, getting up to head to the kitchen.
As Y/n brewed the coffee, she mentally prepared herself for another attempt. This time, sheâd be more direct. She carefully arranged two cups on a tray and brought them back to the living room, where Five was still engrossed in his work.
She set the tray down and sat beside him, leaning in a bit closer than usual. âSo, Five,â she said, her voice soft and hopefully enticing, âwhatâs your favorite way to relax after a long day of saving the world?â
Five glanced at her, his brow furrowed in thought. âI guess I like to read a book or have a drink. Why do you ask?â
Y/n blinked, feeling her cheeks flush. âOh, just curious. Maybe we could... read together sometime?â
Five nodded absently, already turning back to his papers. âSounds good, Y/n.â
Across the room, Klaus watched the exchange with growing amusement. He had a sixth sense for these things, and it was clear as day that Y/n was head over heels for Five. What was also clear was that Five, brilliant as he was, had the emotional awareness of a brick.
Klaus decided it was time to intervene. He sauntered over, plopping down next to Five and flashing Y/n a conspiratorial grin.
âHey, Five,â Klaus began, his tone light and teasing, âhave you noticed how Y/n is looking at you? You know, like sheâs... interested?â
Five looked up, puzzled. âInterested? In what?â
Y/nâs eyes widened in horror as she tried to signal Klaus to shut up, but he ignored her.
âIn you, you dummy!â Klaus said, giving Five a light shove. âSheâs been flirting with you for the past week, and you havenât noticed?â
Five stared at Klaus, then at Y/n, then back at Klaus. âFlirting? With me?â
Y/n wanted to crawl under the couch and disappear. âKlaus!â she hissed. âMaybe you could be a little less obvious?â
Klaus shrugged, unrepentant. âHey, someone had to spell it out for him. Heâs not exactly Mr. Romantic.â
Five, now looking at Y/n with a mixture of confusion and dawning realization, finally put the pieces together. âWait, youâre saying Y/n... you like me? Like, likes me likes me?â
Y/nâs face was crimson. She stared down at her hands, feeling like she might burst from embarrassment. âWell, yeah,â she mumbled. âIâve been trying to show you, but youâre kind of... oblivious.â
Five blinked, his mind racing. He replayed all their recent interactions in his head and finally saw what had been right in front of him. Y/nâs subtle touches, her lingering looks, the way she tried to be close to him. It all made sense now.
A slow smile spread across his face. âIâm an idiot, arenât I?â
Klaus snorted. âYou think?â
Y/n finally dared to look up, her heart pounding. âSo... now that you know, what do you think?â
Five leaned in closer, his eyes warm and a little mischievous. âI think,â he said softly, âthat Iâve been incredibly blind. And that Iâd like to spend a lot more time with you, if youâll let me.â
Y/nâs breath caught in her throat. âReally?â
âReally,â Five said, reaching out to take her hand. âI might need some help, though. Klaus is right; Iâm not exactly a romantic.â
Klaus beamed, clearly pleased with himself. âDonât worry, Iâve got plenty of tips. Step one: stop being so dense.â
Y/n laughed, squeezing Fiveâs hand. âI think I can manage that.â
Five smiled, his gaze locked on Y/nâs. âIâm sure weâll figure it out together.â
Over the next few days, Five made a concerted effort to be more aware of his feelings and how to express them. He and Y/n went on a few datesâawkward at first but sweet and full of potential. Klaus, true to his word, offered unsolicited advice, most of which involved more flair than either Five or Y/n could handle.
One evening, as they sat on the couch in the living room, Y/n snuggled up against Five, feeling content and happy. Five wrapped an arm around her, looking more relaxed than sheâd ever seen him.
âYou know,â Five said, his voice thoughtful, âIâm really glad Klaus decided to butt in.â
Y/n chuckled, nuzzling closer. âYeah, me too. Who would have thought?â
Five leaned down, pressing a soft kiss to her forehead. âHereâs to figuring out this whole romance thing. Together.â
Y/n smiled, closing her eyes as she savored the moment. âTogether,â she echoed, feeling a warmth in her heart that she knew would be there for a long, long time.

Every single timeline led to your untimely demise. You could never just have a happy ending. Whether it be a death, betrayal, the never-ending apocolypse getting in your way, you and Five just couldn't have a moment in peace to just be happy and live.
Somehow, in every timeline, you'd wind up together, no questions asked, not romantically, at least. Events and trigger points always kept you light years apart.
Since the ripe age of thirteen, he'd been fighting to get his way home. He spent damn near fifty years trapped in an apocalyptic world, searching for any answers, or just an escape. He cried by his siblings' dead bodies for years, watching as they rotted into the dead Earth. He trained himself into the deadliest assassin on the planet, his DNA being mixed with those of serial killers to enhance himself, which was not run by him first.
You spent most of your life trapped in a facility, being trained as a child soldier, working your way into a government weapon. You never knew anything until Five rescued you. You could barely interact with people like a normal person. All you knew was harm, violence, people looking at you, expecting something out of you. It took you forever to realize that Five and his siblings weren't like everyone you'd ever known inside a lab, they were family.
You were both science experiments until you'd found your ways out.
But just because you flee one bad decision doesn't mean you escaped them all.
"Y/n!" Five shouts, lunging toward you, trying to protect you from The Handler's automatic weapon.
Though, no one could survive five shots to the face and chest.
You fall on your face, an arm reaching out toward him before he also falls alongside his siblings. He lays next to you, the powerful strikes having both knocked you back. He struggles to breathe, gasping for any last bit of life to keep him long enough, calling for anything he had left inside to save himself.
"I'm glad you're still alive," she smiles deviously, glancing over the bloody mess she'd caused, standing over him, pressing the weapon to his forehead. "You got to see how this all played out,"
He slowly turns his head, looking at your lifeless expression, eyes half opened, staring at him as blood trails from your lips. The Handler chuckles, amused by his infatuation with you. God, he'd ruin any timeline for you.
"It'll be okay, Five. I can keep the world spinning just fine without you."
Bang!
"Five!?" you scream frantically, barely able to keep yourself afloat in the deep oceanic water. It was fucking freezing and it burned your eyes to the point you'd rather rip them out yourself.
You gasp, choking up some saltwater before wading up to the shore, slightly unaware of the previous events. One moment you and Five were fighting some mysterious, comical super-villain with powers and the next moment you were halfway drowning in the deep water down the cliff. How you hadn't died was beyond you.
You sit on the sandy shore, laying on your back, eyes closed to protect yourself from the burning sun above. Anything to just feel warm again.
You spread your jacket over a rock, waiting for it to slowly dry in the sun. You rest your boots next to it, resting your feet up on the rock while you lay the rest of yourself on the sand.
With your mind so foggy and your eyesight so dizzy, you end up falling asleep on the sandy shore without the presence of Five. Jesus Christ, you'd completely forgotten about the dinner you set up that evening. Screw any plans to try and confess to him, then.
When you wake up at the break of dawn the next morning, you realize that Five is no longer by your side, nor was he in the first place when you saved yourself from the water. You scramble into the sea, looking for him like maybe he was able to survive underwater for twelve hours.
After frantic searching with no leads, you fall to your knees, soaking yourself once more.
You spent the next three decades waiting for him on that shore. You visited every day you could, waiting for him for hours when you had nothing better to do, waiting for the tides to bring him back to you.
You didn't know why you kept your hopes up all those years, believing he'd appear from the sea like he'd been protected by magical creatures beneath the deep blue. You just couldn't accept that the water had become his tomb and you couldn't help it.
The haunting sounds of waves crashing on land and the sound of seagulls fill your ears in your sleep while you dream up nightmares of finding his skeleton on the beach, accompanied by his tattered uniform.
Your arms were open as you await his return, whenever, wherever, it would be.
"This finally the end of the apocalypses?" you ask, a drink resting in your hand as you sit beside Five at the bar.
He shrugs. "Guess so. We can't fix it, there's no hope" he sighs, taking a shot. "I love you, Y/n,"
"Love you too, dude" you reply casually, taking a shot after him. You glance back at Sloane and Luther, watching them live up their last night together. "Wanna go spend whatever time we have left together?"
"I don't dance," he chuckles.
"Oh, come on," you roll your eyes, "We're gonna die for good, enjoy life while you can." you hold out a hand for him, waiting for him to take it as you flash puppy dog eyes at him.
He sighs, setting his glass down, taking your hand. He allows you to drag him onto the dance floor, joining the couples and Viktor, Ben, and Klaus as Kehlani's Vegas plays over the stereo. You both drunkenly dance together, enjoying the solemn, mutual love between you two one last time.
Unrequited love, my favorite trope.
You dance the night away until you fade into the fabric of the universe, joining the other Hargreeves as you're mushed into dust, creating mere stars in the sky, surrounded by billions of others.
You'd see each other again someday.
You squeeze Five's hand tightly, keeping your eyes glued on him as the glowing durango-marigold soup ooze surrounds your ankles. The family shares defeated looks, enjoying their last moments together.
Five stares at you with tears in his eyes, his cheeks slightly red. "I'm sorry I couldn't protect you. I couldn't protect you in any universe."
You raise an eyebrow, wondering what he was talking about. Maybe more about that diner he found in that subway he kept blinking to.
"The diner. Every timeline ends with an apocalypse because of us, because of the marigold," he shakes his head. "And in every one, I couldn't save you,"
You search his eyes, looking for dishonesty, which you couldn't find. "...There had to be a timeline where I couldn't save you, Five. You tried. I tried. We tried."
He looks down at the rising ooze, watching and feeling as it eats his waist. He's silent, defeated in himself, knowing he couldn't do anything right. He couldn't save his family, he couldn't save his love, he couldn't even confess to them. He was dying, knowing that he failed. He failed everyone he ever gave a fuck about.
He squeezes your hand, feeling his neck start to be consumed, looking up at the ceiling with the others. Some of the roof had been torn away, exposing the night sky.
He softly smiles, glancing over at you. "There's Sagittarius,"
You smile, recognizing the pattern of stars above.
"See you guys in the next timeline?" Allison sniffles.
You nod. "See you in a minute,"
"Where are we meeting, again? It's not gonna be this shithole" Viktor chuckles.
"How about somewhere peaceful? Anywhere" Five replies.
"Tropical," Klaus suggests with a soft smile. "Tropical sounds nice,"
"Tropical it is, then."
